The vent-less fireplace did not work in the house I moved  into.  The job required removing the vent-less fireplace and installing a chimney from the basement up to the living room, into the garage, and  through the room above the garage.  This job would discourage anyone, but  it came out  perfectly.  The building inspector said it was an excellent install. Travis was responsible for the chimney rough-in, building an enclosed bench to hide the chimney in  the living room and all finishing work relating to make this job work.  He was amazing.  Everyone who has seen it cannot believe the complexity of the job and the finished work.  I truly recommend Travis for any home repair or remodeling services. He is  to be commended.

Showed up on time, took notes and I was told they would contact me with a quote via email.  
I received nothing.  No email, no quote, no phone call, nothing.
The electrician did leave me a brochure.  
It's not that I only had one small project that I wanted to hire them to do.  I need a new breaker box, GFCIs installed in 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry room as well as new switches changed out.  
Maybe they are too busy for me?  My money isn't good enough?  Who knows?
Unless you want to give a tour of your home to a stranger for absolutely no reason, don't bother calling these guys.

Maxxtech is currently working on an extensive indoor and outdoor project at our house and so far so good! Zach and his assistant have been very responsive and professional. Our project has had a few hiccups but Zach has worked through them with ease. I can't wait to see what they do for our inside work since so far they have been working on all the outdoor pieces. Modernized home here we come!

We've used Hayes for years now, and can't imagine using another company. (Well, unless Hayes is booked up -- and they often are, and with good reason.)

We've found Hayes Electric to have the most reasonable rates in town, and some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable service staff EVER.

The folks here are exceptionally honest, too.

For example, we were accidentally over-charged on a bill from Hayes a few weeks ago and -- within just a week or so -- we had a note in the mail and a $79.00 refund check with Hayes' apologies. (I can't begin to tell you how grateful we were and are for this kind of integrity.)

Called them to install my Thermostats, they couldn't do it. Had them install 3 GCFI Outlets (which I could have done myself, but I thought, What the hell, he's already here.) instead.

Charge: $275

Taking payment over the phone involves writing my information on a piece of paper.
Bottom line: would not recommend, won't be going back if at all possible.

Called and scheduled an appointment but they never showed. Would have been fine if they would have called me back to reschedule.

Don't confuse Mimi Hartman of Absolute Electrical Contractor from the absolute electric that has been around for years. They are closed now. She bid my job. Had me go pay for permits, then never showed up to the job site knowing I was almost over my time limit. I fired her after begging her to come to work for a month and hired another guy who did my total whole house rewire job. which meant paying for permits twice. I asked how to get a refund and they said the check was mailed directly to her and she told me I was beat. Horrible contractor. I not only had to pay the permit twice, but was extended beyond my time and had a whole mess of other permits to pay before it could be finished out too. Horrible electrician.
