Bill is a close-by neighborhood treasure. He has been helping us for years with electrical projects inside and outdoors. Today he installed a new chandelier, for which he also had to rewire the ceiling. Bill is honest and punctual, and tends to stop by quickly to provide you with a fair quote. Whilst working in your home he is courteous and tidy, and he takes great care to protect the area he is working in. I highly recommend him to anyone, and I would trust him with my keys.

Eddie, the electrician from Raceway, was so responsive and honest.  He took the time to contact me while on vaca out of state.  He was so helpful and explained everything in detail.  He's a keeper!

Chris is a great guy. He sorted the electrics when I demoed my shed. He also sorted out the electrics when we did our landscaping, including pulling a hell of a wire, and figuring out how to fix the electrics through my landscaper's disaster. He just coached me through a quick fix over the phone. Really honest and great value.

I am very glad we did business with Direct Electric for the purchase and installation of our Quiet Cool Attic Fan.  

I got a couple of prices and found DEC to be the best price by about $150.00 on the model I got.  Additionally, their estimated installation time was about half the time required by the competition.  In talking to them in the process, I found them to be the most knowledgeable about the various products and models (which I had researched online - so I knew when a company was accurate or not).

It was a week before they had an open appointment which was not as good as some of the competition but I was not in that much of a rush so it worked for me.  They gave me a two hour window for arrival and arrived in the earlier part of that window which was nice and seems to be unusual these days.  

The installation crew was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helpful.  They verified a good location and made sure the ventilation of my attic was sufficient for the requirements of our model.  They were careful to keep our home clean in the process and were in and out in the time frame promised.  From arrival to departure, the whole process took about 90 minutes.

I am very pleased with the end result and the whole process could not have gone smoother.

We are getting ready to list our townhouse so I had some electrical issues I needed fixed. He repaired those and did a safety check of his own to see if he could spot any issues the home inspection might bring up.  Ended up needing a safer wall unit for all mounted TV and he was quick and reasonably priced. He's very nice and courteous as well.  Definitely have him fix other issues for me in the future.

I cannot recommend Electric 24 enough!

Being an Aircraft electrician, I fancy myself somewhat knowledgable on electricity, however, after 15 minutes of trying to figure out why my daughters light switch did not control her lamp, I knew I was in over my head. I called Electric 24 and set up an appointment for the next day. Tim came out the next morning.  He showed up on time and after I explained the situation, he set to work. In no time flat he fixed her room and I kept throwing him the small electrical jobs that I have neglected. Little over an hour later, all was good. He cut me a deal on the pricing and the work and professionalism was great. I should have wrote this review then.

Fast forward 2 weeks to this morning. After I installed a ceiling fan and a fancy dual control dimmer with fan control, I noticed the light switch was buzzing like crazy. I figured I had wired it wrong and the house was going to burn down. So, at 9:22 am I called Tim. He was at the house within 15 min. 5 min later, he changed the light bulbs from the florescent bulbs that came with the fan to some regular bulbs he had in the truck. Problem solved! Amazing. Best part, he didn't make me feel like a dumba$$!  When I asked him how much, he said no charge!  

If you need a trustworthy and honest electrician, this is your company! I think I am hanging up my meter leads and if  we need electrical in the future, Electric 24 will be the ones to do it.

What notably separates them i believe is their excellent customer service from Jeff (owner), Jennifer, and Kwan (technician). Kwan did an amazing job on the installation and patiently spent time ensuring a clean and safe install. He did an extra mile for sure. Kudos to Kwan and EV Pros. I called for emergency electrical work; had to call the fire dept for a fire in an electric outlet - they suggested [strongly] that I get an electrician out right away. They wouldn't come out for an estimate w/o charging $45. Not calling THEM again!

STAY AWAY!!!  The saying birds of a fleather flock together has been verified after my experience with my kitchen contractor recommending Tony from Brite Electric.  They both did a number on me.  

My kitchen cabinet installer, who butchered my cabinets and admitted he had no idea how to do Ikea cabinets after having said he just did an Ikea kitchen the week before, recommened Tony to do the electrical for the kitchen as I needed new outlets and wiring.  At that point  I didn't know the kitchen guy was a hack, and I was on a tight timeline so I went with Tony even though his price was high.  He comes across as being very sharp and personable.  I suppose those are the ones you have to be careful of.

Tony charged me $1500 to wire up most of the kitchen.  The job took his employee James about 4-5 hours as most of the walls were open so he could do things pretty easily.  Here are the issues that arose:

1) They used 8 gauge wire for a 50 amp cooktop.  Per CA code a 50 amp appliance requires 6 gauge wire.  This is a big no-no.  It really is pathetic as the thicker gauge would have cost maybe $30 more.

2) They used a 8 gauge 2 conductor wire for the oven, when it requires a 8 gauge 3 conductor wire.  Per CA code if you had existing 8-2 wire you could reuse it, but it is much safer to use 8-3 and it is a code requirement when wiring new.  Again, they cheaped out.  This would have cost maybe $15 more.  They probably just didn't have any with them and figured I would never know.

3) They used a 50 amp breaker on a 30 amp appliance (over).  This defeats the whole point of having a breaker and is a serious problem.

4) They left a mess everywhere.  When they drilled through joists they didn't bother to vacumn anything up.  They even left their Jambu Juice cup from lunch.

5) They did not patch or cover any of the drywall holes they made.  This is unacceptable for the amount I paid and they never told me otherwise.  I then had to pay the kitchen contractor $150 to patch some drywall holes.  I think it was a total scam between them.

6) Most of the outlets were not lined up and visually off.  I had to pay somebody else to move them later.

7) The price!  I paid what amounted to probably $300/hr.   What is worse his original quote was $2100.  I'm such an idiot.

Here is where it gets fun.  After I discovered that his job was totally subpar I called to figure out a resolution.  At first he totally rebuffed me and said everythign he did was to code and he works on million dollar homes as does the same thing (this means this was not a one-off but he does illegal work regularly).  After I very specifically pointed things out he offered to send me a small amount of money.  I then told him there were more issues than I even previously knew about and the amount he was offereing was inssuficient.  At that point he stopped responding to me.  

BBB, contractor's board, and small claims court here I come!  If anbody has any questions about this review feel free to contact me.

In the past,  I have not had great luck with electricians.   Recently, Jason from Service Rite came to our place and installed LED lighting under my kitchen cabinets and replaced some switches.   He installed two Panasonic Whisper fans in my bathroom with new switches.    He was professional, courteous, punctual and did a great job.   I highly recommend him and this company.

Recently I was in a fix our bedroom chandelier fell from the ceiling and hanging by the wires. Wow freaked us out and really didn't know how to fix it or take it down and keep it till we could get help. Out of semi panic I called and just so happens the team was on its way to Dana Point and stopped by my home on the way and was able to help us out ! Beautiful  and so many thanks! RK Electric was the bomb! Dave called me a couple of days after he was referred to me by my landscape contractor and showed  up on time to give me a quote. He turned what seemed to be a complicated situation of getting electrical to my new Spa and adding plugs to my backyard into a simple solution. when I came home the work was done and he called me later that night to see how I would like to pay and voila  - project completed. He was courteous and thorough...I highly recommend!

I called Anthem handyman services when a plumber gave me an outrageous quote to replace my pressure regulator. Gunner from Anthem did it for a fraction of the cost and he picked up all the materials. Super professional and honest!

Needed help with reconnection on my 220 volt dryer wall outlet and Tapia electric helped me out super fast. I was in great need of my dryer due to recently moving and having a baby during the move, all other electricians I reached out to didn't see the worth on coming to help me out just for that , even though I stated I have some future projects in consideration but needed my dryer first.  Tapia electric after dryer repair was complete , we talked about next project and we are schedule to set up appointments and continue doing business soon.
