I've used Bill at Mister Electric for years, he is a staple of Scripps Ranch. He is a one man shop, polite and fair in his dealings. His reported closure by Yelp (december 2018) is untrue, I called him this week and he was at my house to provide quotes for some small jobs I need done.
He is busy but leave a polite, clear message on the voice mail and expect a call back about your work. Recommended.

Sam & Billie arrived promptly and took the time to go over the work order with me, I was grateful for that and it gave me an opportunity to make some changes. They were professional and knowledgeable and didn't seem to mind my questions. I would use them for any and all electrical jobs that will come my way in the future.  Thank you Raceway Electric for the stellar service.

8. Did an excellent installation of ceiling fan.
9. Covered all furniture and flooring with plastic.
10. Left no mess behind.
11. Explained the product and provided a receipt.

We were having trouble without electricity in our house all while the crazy pandemic is going on. A friend recommended Joe B. Electric to us. He was helpful and friendly! He even came back to help us put an additional part in that we needed to order. Great service!

FJ is a great guy with excellent customer service skills!  I was looking for an electrician because we have loads of problems at my house and he gave estimates on the phone that sounded reasonable, compared to the other electricians/ companies out there who said there was a minimum fee just to come to the door! The previous yelp reviews definitely helped in calling FJ :)
Anyways FJ comes over, looks at the houses problems, ends up being worse than I thought :( he did what he could that day and I was satisfied, my house needs miracles! However a few days later FJ emails to say it was bothering him that our house could be safer than what it was (our house is about 100yrs old, not vintage cute either) for my husband, myself and our new son.
It was/is very thoughtful that he kept us in mind even though time had passed since he came out. I was shocked and both my husband and myself were overwhelmed by how genuinely nice and caring he is.
I highly recommend him for any size project, the work he did looks awesome and knowing what the problems were before FJ we feel a lot safer.
Give FJ a call you won't regret it!!!

Had a small task of installing an outdoor light. Called Chris and he came right over. Installed it in no time and was super pleasant and friendly. This guy knows his stuff.

Recently had two Quiet Cool Fans installed by Direct Electric.   I called them up, they gave me an estimate and a date and time to install the fans.   They were on time, very professional, charged me exactly what the estimate was.  We have a two story house and it has made a tremendous difference upstairs!  I would recommend Direct Electric to anyone who is looking to purchase a whole house fan.  Very easy to deal with.  Betsy

I have used Miguel for a few years and was excited that he started his own business.  He is very competent, cheerful and has great ideas.  His assistants are well versed in the trade and have other assorted skills. He has done every thing from new circuits, powered vent fans, lighting, et.al. Highly recomend Miguel for small repairs, complete start up installs, new projects and upgrades.  All around craftsman. Very happy.

I was very pleased with the work I had done with electric 24. When I called he was in the area and stopped by within 20 minutes. Turns out it was just a minor fix so he didn't even charge me. I offerred to pay something but he said it's alright. Just tell some friends about him. He was a real nice guy and was able to answer a lot of questions I had. I will definitly use electric 24 again!

I called EV Pros because from the reviews they were rated very high and they specialized in installations of charging units for Tesla's and other EV. I was a bit hesitant of a regular electrician, not because they are bad, but sometimes with specialized installs they are not real familiar with them and I didn't want to take a chance.  Jeff the owner got back to me within minutes on a Sunday to help give me a quote for installation. I explained what I had and sent pics and he was very good about approximating what it would run. I chose them because he was very honest and open about his estimate. The next day they scheduled me and Kwan and another person (sorry forgot his name) came on time, upbeat attitude and surveyed my situation. Within a few hours they ran the proper gauge romex to the other side of my garage through my attic down the wall and set it all up. They were very professional how they set it all up, explanation of how much power I would get because of where the unit was and run length. They had all the supplies needed for the installation on their truck and did the job quickly and without a hitch. I can't say enough of how they did a great job, cleaned up and made sure that everything was just right. I would definitely recommend them for installing a charging unit. Remember that you get what you pay for and the value that EV-Pro's gives is great!

Mia answered our request for service really promptly!  Dennis came out right on time and investigated our problem with our kitchen outlets.  We appreciated his patience and how he answered all our questions so politely.  He turned what was a nightmare of non-working outlets into such a relief for us, when he got it all working well, and with a new GFI outlet!  We appreciated his friendliness and all his skills.  I will recommend this company and Dennis to everyone.

Five stars to Rudy.  We chose him from the YELP reviews and could not be more pleased.  He responded immediately, gave us a very reasonable estimate and arranged a time to do the work.  He showed up right on time and his work was great.  He gave us  excellent suggestions and when done, his work was so clean that we did not need to do any painting or drywall repair.  I have saved his card and will absolutely use him for all my electrical needs.  I highly recommend him.

STAY AWAY!!!  The saying birds of a fleather flock together has been verified after my experience with my kitchen contractor recommending Tony from Brite Electric.  They both did a number on me.  

My kitchen cabinet installer, who butchered my cabinets and admitted he had no idea how to do Ikea cabinets after having said he just did an Ikea kitchen the week before, recommened Tony to do the electrical for the kitchen as I needed new outlets and wiring.  At that point  I didn't know the kitchen guy was a hack, and I was on a tight timeline so I went with Tony even though his price was high.  He comes across as being very sharp and personable.  I suppose those are the ones you have to be careful of.

Tony charged me $1500 to wire up most of the kitchen.  The job took his employee James about 4-5 hours as most of the walls were open so he could do things pretty easily.  Here are the issues that arose:

1) They used 8 gauge wire for a 50 amp cooktop.  Per CA code a 50 amp appliance requires 6 gauge wire.  This is a big no-no.  It really is pathetic as the thicker gauge would have cost maybe $30 more.

2) They used a 8 gauge 2 conductor wire for the oven, when it requires a 8 gauge 3 conductor wire.  Per CA code if you had existing 8-2 wire you could reuse it, but it is much safer to use 8-3 and it is a code requirement when wiring new.  Again, they cheaped out.  This would have cost maybe $15 more.  They probably just didn't have any with them and figured I would never know.

3) They used a 50 amp breaker on a 30 amp appliance (over).  This defeats the whole point of having a breaker and is a serious problem.

4) They left a mess everywhere.  When they drilled through joists they didn't bother to vacumn anything up.  They even left their Jambu Juice cup from lunch.

5) They did not patch or cover any of the drywall holes they made.  This is unacceptable for the amount I paid and they never told me otherwise.  I then had to pay the kitchen contractor $150 to patch some drywall holes.  I think it was a total scam between them.

6) Most of the outlets were not lined up and visually off.  I had to pay somebody else to move them later.

7) The price!  I paid what amounted to probably $300/hr.   What is worse his original quote was $2100.  I'm such an idiot.

Here is where it gets fun.  After I discovered that his job was totally subpar I called to figure out a resolution.  At first he totally rebuffed me and said everythign he did was to code and he works on million dollar homes as does the same thing (this means this was not a one-off but he does illegal work regularly).  After I very specifically pointed things out he offered to send me a small amount of money.  I then told him there were more issues than I even previously knew about and the amount he was offereing was inssuficient.  At that point he stopped responding to me.  

BBB, contractor's board, and small claims court here I come!  If anbody has any questions about this review feel free to contact me.

In the past,  I have not had great luck with electricians.   Recently, Jason from Service Rite came to our place and installed LED lighting under my kitchen cabinets and replaced some switches.   He installed two Panasonic Whisper fans in my bathroom with new switches.    He was professional, courteous, punctual and did a great job.   I highly recommend him and this company.

Great experience. I had the most frustrating experience with some three-way timers that were throwing off the complete look of a multi million dollar property. The business manager was very attentive and communicated well with you tend to my situation with very little notice. I had two other people troubleshoot the situation and it truly was a waste of their time and my $$ as he was able to troubleshoot the right way and solve my problem. Thank you

This is the second time I have used Dave and his crew. I was hoping the first time was not an anomaly. My wife got one of those new jet engine hair dryers that were tripping the breaker all the time. So I called RK for help. Dave came in to size up the job - even took the time to understand the problem so that he could provide an appropriate solution. He quoted the job then took the time to explains the job very clearly so there is no misunderstanding it was almost a college level tutorial on basic electronics.  His crew came in and got the job done, cleans up and very professional. Very fast response and timely completion with installing 220 for the electric range! They needed to think outside of the box to extend the power through the walls so that it's hidden. They patched and cleaned after the work.
