I sought out several Electrician estimates for some fixture installs, outlet replacements, and a range hood install.  Of course the prices and ability to do the work was all over the place.  During the estimate and clarification process, William always responded quickly and was thorough in his explanation.

While he was not the cheapest or most expensive for this job, I appreciated his timely responses.

His team showed up on time, and covered all the impacted areas.  They left the property like they found it, as though they were not there, and everything was done in a very timely manner.

There were a couple of issues, one was my own, but they quickly responded and resolved them.

Todd does really clean electrical work. He does it right and explains your problem. He is an honest business man. I have used other electricians but have had to redo the work because it was poorly done. Don't make that mistake call Dr.Electric and get done right the first time.

Jeff is a pleasure to do business with.  I would recommend him to anyone looking to get electrical work done.  He is very professional and cares about his customers.

Just had two chandeliers installed by Mustafa. Very friendly and accommodating person with a bright personality. He showed up early and completed the job to my satisfaction. I had inquired from 4 other companies but CET had the best price by a land slide! Quotes I got were $1500-$1880 for the project, but only paid $812 with CET Electric. Very competitive. They will continue to earn my business in my future projects!

Had a fairly simple outlet I needed replaced and ran into a wiring issue. I was in a bid and needed it fixed ASAP.  Jesus was nice enough to come out towards the end of his day. Was there in a half hour, fixed the issue and left no trash behind. Was a very nice guy too.

I don't know why I haven't written a review for these guys sooner. Damon and his team are awesome! Not only are they actually enjoyable to be around (these guys are super down to earth), but they work fast, get the job done well, are up front with cost, are flexible and willing to work with your budget, and arrive when they say they are going to arrive. For electrical work, they are also really reasonably priced! I've had D M Electric work on my cafe 3 different times now, and will continue to work with them for all things electrical.

COMMERCIAL/RETAIL BUSINESS OWNERS- They also know what they are doing when it comes to SD Environmental Health Code. This saves so much time and hassle on your part.

Joel had done several jobs in our HOA. Honest, knowledgeable & reliable. We are fortunate to have crossed paths with him.

My husband was all gaga over DC Electric's work and couldn't stop praising Daniel's professional and thoughtful work. And I trust his excitement as he studied electrical engineering. Here are some details:

DC Electric's tasks:
1. Install a Poul Henningsen Artichoke Lamp replica (bulky, heavy and fragile, most likely qualifies as an installer's nightmare - m.louispoulsen.com/us#pr…).
2. Install two vintage dining room hanging lamps where there used to be only one.

What we liked about DC Electric's work:
Daniel was professional, polite and punctual and he always returned calls. As we were renting the place, we wanted to leave as little damage as possible and Daniel came up with his own ideas to meet our needs. Excellent execution and I still cannot believe he heaved the artichoke on the vaulted ceiling almost entirely by himself! But his professional and thoughtful work really came to light when we moved out of the house and my husband removed the lamps himself. Not only was Daniel's cable work neat, he had thought of everything to make the reverse work easy - like placing the necessary parts next to the lamp below the roof etc. From our experience, it is hard to come by thoughtful craftsmen who take pride in what they do and go that extra mile to make things perfect.

So - a big thumbs up for DC Electric. I would only give five stars to an outstanding business experience and DC Electric earned it, albeit we had the pleasure only once. We would not hesitate to recommend DC Electric to our friends.

PS: DC Electric was arranged and paid by our moving company so I am assuming credit cards are accepted (at least in the office?), though I don't know for sure.

Called about having an outlet installed and TV mounted in our living space. We found Nick and his employee to be professional and careful in our home. Finally we have a TV mounted and out of reach of the toddlers! Plus no cords!  The work is clean and our extra heavy duty mount is perfectly level.  We're so happy.  We'll call soon for other projects I'm sure and we've already recommended their services to friends. We had an issue with an outdoor outlet that needed the ground wire properly connected.  Live Wire came out right on time, and got the issue fixed so we will have safe use of the outlet for what we need.  He also fixed another minor issue we asked for.  We will definitely use this company again in the future.

Ken and Mike are awesome! They're friendly, honest and reliable, which I find is hard to come by these days. If you have any electrical questions, they are more than willing to answer and explain to you what's going on. I've had them come out to my house three times now within the last few weeks to fix various electrical issues and will definitely be using them again in the future.

I was bummed when my electrician of 15 years went to NY. I yelped looking for a new one and read Jayson's reviews.....he was Awesome!  He does not disappoint!  Hire the man..... Guaranteed satisfaction!

Electricity in my kitchen went out suddenly in Saturday night.  Never having a need previously for an electrician, we searched the internet for local electricians and left messages with several.  Mike Bartel responded promptly on Sunday morning.  Mike arrived on time as promised, quickly assessed the situation, and discovered the problem.  Previous work completed by a non certified electrician was corrected, which included several trips in the attic.  Upon my request, Mike also changed several  outlets to GFCI Safety outlets.  He also discovered and replaced a circuit breaker that was not working.  I now feel much safer about the electrical situation after having Mike inspect my house.   Mike was here for 2 hours .  I felt for the work he did and the effort he gave, his bill was far too conservative, so I tipped him 25%.  I like people who are responsive, arrive as promised, know their trade, and are professional.  Mike Bartel is all that and more, and will have all my future business.

So, to give everyone an update regarding the most UNPROFESSIONAL Effective Electric business and its owner Ernesto in getting a job done that was requested on December 15, 2015, I contacted another electrical company. The agent/electrician showed up on time as promised, evaluated the problem and promised to come back in an hour. The electrician called me exactly in an hour and stated that he has found an appliance that will take the place of the old broken one. IT TOOK THIS GUY AN HOUR TO FIND A NEW PART and Fixed the electrical problem that we have on the same day versus Effective Electric/Ernesto that took 3 months and no result.  Effective Electric and Ernesto the owner - made us wait for 4-5 hours and DO NOT SHOW UP/NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL - on 4 Different occasions/Appointments. Effective Electric or Ernesto keeps on saying that he cannot find the parts/unit for our exhaust fan for 3 months. NO call from Ernesto as to whether he will show up and finish the job. Beware also of American Home Shield Warranty Home Insurance - Ernesto and AHS are in cahoots.  DO NOT HIRE EFFECTIVE ELECTRIC.
