Update: To clarify, the faceplate and other mishaps were fixed (somewhat reluctantly)  once I called them to Daniel's attention.

I hired Darrell to install aluminum cable railing for my San Diego home and he was all you could ask for: prompt, polite and professional. He provided a quote that was totally fair (not the cheaper and not the most expensive).  He showed up the night before to verify the location, the supplies and to confirm that's he'd be there the next day.  He finished the job beautifully and with great care.  I highly recommend this professional!

Leave it to the professionals!  Recently started doing some upgrades to my home.  In our bathroom, there is a fan and light controlled by one switch and we wanted them separated out so we didn't always have to have the fan running when we turned on the light.  Seemed simple enough; buy the switch, install and... poof!  No light, no fan and even no power to some of the outlets.  Okay, took another look at the wiring and tried it again.  Nothing!

I'm definitely not the type of person who gives up on things, but on the other hand, some things are just better left to the professionals.  I began calling local electricians and mostly what I heard was our next appointment is in two weeks...  I called Ocean Electric and left a message.  Within a few minutes I got a text from John letting me know to call whenever I had a chance.  I called him right back and explained what happened.  Unlike all the others who told me it was essentially impossible to get someone the same day let alone the same week, John told me he was almost finished with another job and would be out to my home in about an hour!  I thought this must be too good to believe but sure enough, John and his work partner showed up and went right to work.

They are both very professional and within a minute or two they had diagnosed the problem.  Unfortunately, the bathroom wasn't wired for a dual switch.  They offered to put the old switch back and that would be the end of it or if I was okay with it, they would drill a few holes, run some additional wire and make it work with the two switch.  I really wanted the dual switch but it was going to require drilling possibly up to five holes.  Again, I really wanted the dual switch so I told John to go ahead.  I was able to return to my work while they went ahead with the repairs.  In all, I think it might have taken them an hour and it when it was all over, the dual switch was working perfectly!  

But not only that, through John's expertise, he managed to only drill one hole to run the new wire.  But to be honest, I don't know if it really would have mattered had he drilled more holes.  They are absolute professionals and did an amazing patch job of the hole they made and cleaned up entirely after they were finished.  I've had other electrical work performed where they had to cut dry wall and those people did NOT do any type of patch work or repair of the dry wall.  John doesn't just throw up a patch; he really does an amazing job that almost looks like nothing at all was done to the wall!  

I feel VERY fortunate to have come across John and without question, for ANY electrical work I ever need done, he will be the first person I will call.  He and his work partner were VERY professional and friendly.  They are very knowledgeable, thorough and quick.  If you are EVER in need of an electrician, I really can't recommend them enough.  Don't even call anyone else for a quote.  Just go straight to John and you won't be disappointed.  Thanks again John for helping me out today and responding so quickly!

I hired Kelly to do a job on my behalf and after accepting she notified us it was on the understanding that she couldn't get to the repair for three weeks which we understood and accepted.  Two days prior to the agreed upon date she cancels saying I don't do repairs in this area.  To me this just talks to the lack of thoroughness of how she does things.  We specifically talked to her about the job and its location, now she decides she doesn't want to go where the job is and cancels. She has left us high and dry searching for a new repair person.  Kelly's business practices are very poor and for this reason I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

We had some exterior electrical work that needed to be done. Everyone was professional, prompt and I am very happy with the work that was done. I would highly recommend this company! I will be sure to use them for any future electrical needs.

Hooked up my hottub and everything works great.  It has been 1.5 years since install and no issues.  JW was prompt and courteous.  The owner made some outstanding recommendations on the install - for example, a covered outdoor electical outlet (to avoid getting splashed) and we love it.
I now need to use JW again and wanted their number, found on Yelp and decided to post a review.  I will post again after they install my lights and fans in my outdoor living space!

Gerardo helped us repair a ceiling fan. He was able to come over the same day and repair it within a few minutes. His pricing was reasonable and affordable.  Gerardo was polite and a pleasure to meet. I highly recommend him!

Today, 9 April 2018, Carlos and his team did an outstanding job installing recessed lighting in my kitchen.  Carlos was very exact, prompt, courteous and answered all of my questions.  The entire team was enthusiastic, professional, organized, and knew what they were doing..thank you again!

With very short notice, Alex was able to come to my home for a quick repair on some outlets in my kitchen. My husband, who is a retired General Contractor, was very pleased with the quality of his work and his exceptional customer service. We are selling our existing home and will be moving into our new home shortly and will be using him for all our electrical needs. Thanks Alex!!

We had three electrical issues that we needed resolved:
1. A non-working fountain outside (it never worked).
2. A stove hood (it worked at one time).
3. An outlet we wanted installed in a small room.
Both #1 and #2 proved to be extremely challenging but Brock never gave up. He was persistent, especially in the fountain, which was particular difficult since the original wiring was never done properly. The outlet work was straightforward but was done quickly and efficiently. Brock was also very polite and respectful of our home. Highly recommended!

How did I get so lucky? When researching electricians, I used Yelp to find a company who could help me with a repair on an outdoor outlet not covered by my home warranty company. I saw Hi Power's five star ratings and over 200 reviews, so that already made me pay attention. Even better, when I called them for an estimate, they were upfront and honest about the pricing. After a couple calls to other service providers, their pricing was either better or equal. What sold me was the friendliness and upfront communication. I know, friendliness is not always important if you've got a budget in mind, but if you can get both why would you go anywhere else?  

5 stars - Fair pricing. I'm not super handy, but I did do some research before calling them, so I already knew what to expect. When their assessment lined up with my research, I knew they weren't trying to nickel and dime me.

5 stars - I have to give five bonus stars to Sheen. He promptly called me back if I left a message and made me feel like I was a priority. He had no issue with setting up an appointment with my tenant and even provided me the documentation I needed as receipt of the work, which is important for landlords who need to keep a detailed log of repairs. Sheen really went above and beyond, and was easy to work with the entire time.

If I ever need any electrician related work done, I know who to call!

We had a situation where the lights in the kitchen wouldn't turn on as well as a ceiling fan that I needed to be replace. Eric and his son came in and took care of the problem quickly, both the fan install and the broken circuit. Eric took the time to explain what happened, and gave recommendations of what to do to make sure it doesn't happen in the future.

Randy did a great job!  We needed to upgrade our main service to enable us to add solar. Randy upgraded our service panel from 100 amp to 200 amp service. He completed it quickly and the city inspector was complementary of the completed job.

We contacted Robert to fix our balcony that was leaking. The price he gave us was the best we found so we decided to hire him for the job. He was friendly and responsive. He and his wife came out to do the job. We thought it was a bit unprofessional that they listened to loud music all while working on the balcony. But it was fine. My husband wasn't home the whole time the repair was happening so when he left I was very disappointed with how the balcony looked. Definitely didn't look as nice as it previously had. Looked very obvious that it was rigged up. With metal sheets going all along the sides of the balcony. My husband agreed. We thought you get what you pay for and as long as it doesn't leak we can work on esthetics later. He fixed it during the summer and when the next rain came it leaked just as bad as it previously had. Eventually we contacted Robert about coming back to fix it again after much hesitation, if he couldn't do it right the first time we were pretty sure we'd regret having him come back. He eventually came back during the rainy season and did a little repair. We covered the patio with a tarp and waited for some contact from Robert. He called two days before Christmas and I missed his call so I texted him after the holidays asking when he would be able to make it over again. He texted me a picture of the word Genial. I messaged him again asking him for a time line for his finished repair but never heard back. We will just chalk up our losses and hire someone from a reputable company to redo his work. I asked him for the name of his company and he just responded Pact Co. Guess he thought lying would avoid my honest review.

John came to our house and quickly resolved a problem that had befuddled three prior electricians who were unable to fix the problem.  No BS with this guy - he is the real deal!!  He did a great job and charged a reasonable rate.  I will call him again.
