HISTORY

Established in 2008.
After more than ten years in the electrical and lighting control trade in San Diego,I, Dave Shapiro began RK Electric. Named for my two sons, Rider and Kainoa, RK is a service based business. From nuts and bolts electrical work, to AV and automation, we serve general contractors, home and business owners, and property managers in all of San Diego County

Let me introduce myself. I'm Dave Shapiro, the owner of RK Electric. My mission is to build relationships based on excellent customer service, expert electrical work, and dependability. If I have learned anything on this journey, it is that at the end of each day, the things I am most thankful for are the opportunities I have had to help out. Whether it is with my family, another tradesman, or my customers, my aim is to make this world a better place, a little at a time. This is the second time I have used Dave and his crew. I was hoping the first time was not an anomaly. My wife got one of those new jet engine hair dryers that were tripping the breaker all the time. So I called RK for help. Dave came in to size up the job - even took the time to understand the problem so that he could provide an appropriate solution. He quoted the job then took the time to explains the job very clearly so there is no misunderstanding it was almost a college level tutorial on basic electronics. His crew came in and got the job done, cleans up and very professional. As long as he is in business he will have my business for life. ...I highly recommend RK

RK Electric was the bomb! Dave called me a couple of days after he was referred to me by my landscape contractor and showed up on time to give me a quote. He turned what seemed to be a complicated situation of getting electrical to my new Spa and adding plugs to my backyard into a simple solution. when I came home the work was done and he called me later that night to see how I would like to pay and voila - project completed. He was courteous and thorough...I highly recommend!

David responded to my Yelp request within an hour, and managed to get someone out to us the first thing the very next morning for a small job (fixing a light socket). The repair men arrived on time, were polite, worked quickly, and explained the problem and what they were doing to fix it. I'd definitely go back to RK Electric for any future work we may have.
