Fred did an excellent job hanging our TVs and mounting our ceiling fans. He's such a nice guy. He feels like family already, and we just met. He's very professional and extremely reliable.

David came on an early Friday night to fix a problem with our outdoor outlet. Price was fair and he was professional and courteous. I will definitely use him again.

Yong and his crew are true professional. My sub panel burned on Saturday morning. I called around the top Yelp electricians in the Fremont area. Yong responded right away and within 30 minutes, they arrived at my house and gave me suggestion how to deal with the situation. They temporarily reroute sub panel so I can continue have power. On next day, Yong help us replace the whole sub panel. Their quote was very reasonable. Full heavyhearted recommend them.

Very quick to get back to me. He does very clean work and was able to get it done on the same day. Very professional electrician.

I asked Sam to fix two small things (faucet and a tile repair).

I needed someone to help me uninstall, move and reinstall a whole house generator from my old house to my new one. The Fitch team was responsive, great communicators, and clearly very knowledgeable about their work as they had to fix a few things on both ends! I hope we don't need further servicing, but they will be my first call if we do.

Robert is very responsive, show up on time, profession and did an great job on adding new NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage.

I am very happy with Antonio's work on our opened drywall ceiling. The final outcome is what I wanted. It is hard to imagine there was any opening there at all. He  closed it, matched the texture, went same evening to  a store and bought some paint.  He was going back and forth to his car for tools and never forgot to wear shoe protectors. He fixed the light that was not working too. It was ultra easy to hire him. I think I got lucky on one of those crazy rainy days. He responded to my message very quickly and was at my place fixing the ceiling in like 1.5 hours. Wow. I was trying to hire the drywall guy here at yelp for a week going back and forth through his manager and I hired Antonio in a blink of an eye. The bonus: he charges very reasonably. I liked his attitude and demeanor as well. I cannot thank Antonio enough and plan to hire him for more projects around my house.

I sent a quote request and Juan responded very quickly. Was able to come out and give us a quote in person within a couple days. A few days later he was able to start and did an amazing job. He added an external outlet to our front yard for us to use install sprinklers and walkways lights as well as 2 new lights flanking the garage. He even went to extra step and sealed around the new lights. Super happy with his work and would use him for any future needs!

I had a great experience with Bay Area Maintenance. I had Dan over to help me hook up my thermostat when I was having AC issues. Dan was able to re-wire and install my thermostat correctly as well as diagnose that my compressor wasn't working properly and that I needed to have HVAC professionals come repair it. Dan seemed very honest and was genuinely reluctant to take my money when my AC still wasn't working even though it wasn't his fault. I cannot recommend him enough.

Jeremy promptly returned my call and came out to our home the same day to provide me with estimates. We upgraded our electrical sub panel (which was a fire hazard), installed LED lighting, rewired a couple switches, and installed a whole house fan. The fans that Jeremy uses are quality made, super quiet and very efficient. Our house feels significantly cooler when we use it. We were considering an a/c unit but I'm not sure we need one anymore. Troy and his crew arrived promptly the day of and took care to cover and move the furniture. They worked efficiently and cleaned as each job was finished. Any concern I had was immediately addressed. Jeremy followed up when the job was done and immediately sent someone over the following day to take care of some finishing work. These guys are awesome and I highly recommend them and will use them again. Thank you Got Watts!

Our house lost power on a Sunday morning and it was pouring out, called Den Electric, James showed within an hour, checked out the issue and fixed it for us in no time.
James was very helpful and safety conscious, noticed our panels were dusty and showed us how to properly maintain the panels and explain why certain hazards happen, its the little details like that makes the service much more pleasant and eye opening.
The service we received was excellent and efficient, would go back to these guys for any future electrical needs.

***UPDATE***
So a few months after I'd left the messages and wrote the 1-star review, Steve called me. He apologized and explained that he'd been dealing with some family issues. He had also let go one of the workers who had done my electrical. After making an appointment to come out the following week, I sent him my list of things that needed to be fixed, detailed in my original review.

As promised, Chris came out on Monday. He was on time--even early--friendly and courteous. Chris made some recommendations on how to fix some of the problems, did the work, and also saved the day with some quick thinking. He also changed out a motion detector switch to a regular one even though it was out of scope.

Steve himself came out and we smoothed things over. I was happy to have the work completed quickly and even talked to him about coming back to install a new light over my dining table.

Although I would have preferred the work had been done properly originally, Steve takes pride in his work and I know he felt bad that there had been issues.

I understand when family matters come up, and I told him as much. However, I do think he should have left an outgoing voice message explaining that he was taking time off and would not be returning calls for an extended amount of time.

I was actually about to hire another electrician to fix all the problems, so I would been pretty upset if I had done so only to have Steve contact me afterward.

My initial experience with Steve and John, who were recommended by my contractor, was good. However, I've now left two messages this year for Steve asking him to come back and fix small issues that came up within weeks of my moving back into my remodeled home: canned light went out, dimmer makes a buzzing noise, smoke alarm fell off my master bedroom ceiling. And the big one: fans in both baths come on when heat/air does and not necessarily when they should. I.e., when I'm showering and the bathroom steams up.

I'm sure all of these problems are easy to fix, so I'm frustrated that I've left two very polite messages (one on Steve's cell phone; one at the shop) and still haven't received a call back in over two weeks. I spent more than $10k with Southwest and thought Steve and John were very professional and helpful during the remodel. I think it's very unprofessional now for Steve to not follow up on these issues that I've documented through date-stamped photos.

I think it's interesting that the majority of these 5-star reviews for Southwest are from people who don't write many reviews. This can be a sign of business owners asking for favorable reviews in return for providing a discount. If you're researching electricians or any other businesses on Yelp, I recommend doing your homework. Just because the business has 5-star reviews does not mean they truly are a 5-star business.

Called Jason a few weeks ago and he replied immediately. we agreed upon a time for him to come over and address some light switch and bulb issues. He was on time, did the job very quickly and professionally and charged me a very reasonable rate. He was great with my dog too which is a big plus :-) . I will call Oak Electric again as Jason is a super nice guy and did a great job for me.

Jon and team were wonderful!  They were reasonable, on time, knew what they were doing and Jacob was very professional. I would highly recommend JMC.  Call them for your spa needs!

I decided to try Five or Free for some electrical work I needed in my garage and also in our bedrooms.  I was adding several light fixtures and also adding an electrical outlet in the garage.  For the cost of the work performed, I felt they did an adequate job, but I was not impressed with their organization or follow up.

I had to correct an invoice as they did not remove an item that the on-site electrician stated was not needed.  If I hadn't caught that, I would have been over charged.  

I also had to follow up on the permitting process to make sure that this was all done according to code and filed with the city.  I feel like they should have been more proactive in making sure that this was communicated and scheduled accordingly.

Finally, there was a switch that was not installed correctly and had to be corrected by a follow up visit which took a couple of months after the initial work.

I don't mind paying a little more for high quality work and good communication, but I feel they fell a little short in both of these areas.
