I rarely do reviews but was compelled to do one for Fred. I had called him to fix an issue with a light switch. He was able to provide a clear estimate with a few simple questions and pictures.

He is super responsive and stayed in touch before the appointment and as he was coming in. He fixed a potentially hazardous situation for me and also fixed the bad wiring.

In short he's very professional!

I have called on David several times in the last two years, as I have been gradually updating my home.  First, and most simply, David is one of the few contractors I have worked with who actually picks up his phone when I call.  If you live in the Bay Area, you will know how rare this is.  He has always performed beautiful and detailed work.  David also single-handedly saved my thanksgiving when I managed to fry my breaker panel the day before, and he came out the same day to get my house back in running order.  

There are few I can recommend as unreservedly as David Bertsch.

I called LHP to get a quote on upgrading my sub panel. We only had 12 circuits and they upgraded to 24. I explained that with everyone at home during COVID I was concerned with circuits being blown. He also informed me that I could put more power in the panel by converting from electric stove to gas in the future.
He is very pleasant and responded quickly. Very professional!
I hit some other quotes but LHP was the most personable and down to earth. Not trying to sell me anything I didn't need and brainstormed solutions with me. I ended up converting to a gas stove and they changed out the power on the stove from 240 to 120 and we could not be happier. They even changed the stove connection from a hard wired connection to an outlet.
*Note - I had to have a Plummer come and run the gas line for the stove so this portion. Was not included in the scope of work done by LHP.
On the day of the work the crew arrived at 9:00AM and were done by 12:30. They were very friendly and kept us updated on the progress throughout the entire time. They are a small business and need our support during this time. I will be calling them for future jobs from here on out.

Very quick to get back to me. He does very clean work and was able to get it done on the same day. Very professional electrician.

I put out a request on Yelp in the morning and Sam came by in less than an hour to complete the task. A few hours after he had left, I had another job for him and he came back within the hour (twice in a day) to finish this second task. I would recommend him if you have any projects that you need help with around the house.

Left a message and was called back promptly. Had a problem with my electricity going in and out, and Larry stopped by to troubleshoot and called PG&E for me. He was super helpful. Would definitely call him again.

I requested a quote. Josh responded immediately. He works me out via the phone! Can you believe it!? Saved me $200 for a trip check. Very appreciated, Josh. You made my weekend.

A friend recommended Randy.  He does nice neat and quick work.  Explains what the options are and how he did the job.  Very personable and willing to work with you on even the smallest projects.  He is coming back to do a second job for us and I look forward to working with him.

I reached out to a few people for quotes. He was very helpful, arrived promptly and kept the price to the estimate. Work looks great and clean. Happy with the job.

Juan is great. He answered our call right away and came in the next day. He helped us get the 240v outlet for the new electric range. He is also so kind to help us with the range installation as well. We highly recommend him!

Can't say enough good things about Dan and BAM. Dan helped me get my commercial convection oven installed in my new bakery. It was a difficult job but Dan was very thorough and came back to make sure everything was working right. Highly recommended!

I tend to write reviews only when somebody or someplace is either outstanding or exceptionally bad. I don't have time to spend writing reviews for all the average businesses out there who perform as expected but don't in any way stand out from the crowd. James and James from Got Watts Electric earned their 5 stars. It was a relatively routine job, installing some recessed lighting in our living room, but they encountered many problems along the way due to inadequate wiring done by the original owner of the house and minimal crawl space above the ceiling, making it a very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience for them. They could have made it easier on themselves by making holes in the wall, but they chose the harder way, which was much better for us.
They did a beautiful job, with smiles and a sense of humor. They were amazingly efficient under the circumstances and took the time to clean up every speck of dust and dirt. They had to put in extra effort for this job, but did not charge extra money for it. Their price was very reasonable. I will most definitely hire them for any electrical needs in the future.

We used Hancock and James last year to install recessed lighting in our living room. They did a decent job installing the lights at a fair price. We had a much bigger project this month to replace all our old light fixtures with recessed lights. Hancock confirmed on the phone that they would be using same recessed lights as used in the previous project, however, what they installed were cheap $4 recessed lights you can order from Alibaba.com! I have 3 kids under 5 so was distracted and didn't check on the quality of the lights installed. Plus i was jet lagged coming back from europe the night before, however, it was my fault for not checking the fixtures.
My wife upon returning back to home after the completion of the job noticed that the light quality and look was very different. I asked Hancock to fix the issue by replacing the lights with the ones we can provide and since i take responsibility i can provide the new lights at zero cost to him. But instead of accepting that he used cheap lights and would replace them, he first said that those older lights are no longer being sold!! That was a lie. As i found the same or similar ones at home depot, lowes and ace hardware stores or amazon. Second he asked $60 to replace each light!! That's in addition to the light i will buy and supply him.
Definitely not going to use these guys and will be filing a complaint with the state of california consumer bureau on ethics and the way the business was conducted.

Steve, who I believe is the owner, is really responsive and gets back to really quickly. I've used them several times and the electricians are very knowledgable and friendly. They do a great job and charge reasonable prices which is unusual for an electrician. When they quote a job they stick by the price even if it takes longer for them to complete it. I recommend them highly.

I wanted to wait until our permit was approved before leaving a review and it happened today.

I met Bellows through the Costco Services program when I requested a quote to replace our 30+ year old furnace and to add a/c.  Carl came around about two weeks later and spent a good amount of time looking over our house and then explaining our options.  I felt he was very knowledgeable and trusted his suggestions.  Normally, I always get at least three quotes, but by the end of his presentation, I was comfortable enough to sign the agreement.  Due to their backlog, I was warned that our installation wouldn't happen for another six weeks, but we were okay with that.
 
About a week after the consultation, Russell, the project manager, came to our house to check out the logistics as we were moving the furnace from a closet to the attic.  He answered all of my husband's questions to the point that my husband also felt Bellows knew what they were talking about.
 
When the installation date arrived, a team of four worked three and a half days to complete the work.  Each day, they arrived promptly and left the house super clean at the end of the day.  Bellows arranged for another company to do the HERS test which is required for the permit and we passed with no issues.

Today, the city inspector came and Bellows sent a technician to answer any questions he may have and our permit was approved!

Bellows has been very responsive and supportive every step of the way and now that we've used both our new furnace and a/c without issues, we can vouch for their knowledge and skills.

I have already recommended Bellows to two friends and would not hesitate recommending them to you!

We hired JMC to wire up our hot tub, and although I was a bit skeptical at first with regards to whether the price was worth it or not (not outrageously high, but also not inexpensive), after the install today, I have to admit that I am 100% a fan of theirs. From start to finish, they've been very clear in their communications and every single person I've interacted with has been super professional. With the install today, even though it wasn't their fault that the hot tub company didn't leave behind the right breakers for them, JMC's Hector and Eduardo went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed to get the hot tub working today, especially since I told them that I was heading out of town early the next morning. Above and beyond in terms of making calls to track down the missing component and then actually driving out to the hot tub place to pick up the component. And they did it so cheerfully that I knew that they cared about doing a great job and leaving me a happy customer. I am a forever fan and will be calling them up for other electrical needs in the future!

I have worked with these guys on two occasions.  It feels like you are back in the 1950s with polite, in-shape, young men coming to your house to do electrical work.  The results both times were perfect.  They keep their promise to keep thing clean and they are always proper in their speech and conduct.  The quality of their work is also unmatched.  I would recommend them highly and won't use anyone else.
