We found out the hard way during the recent heavy rains that our sump pumps stopped working properly when we discovered that our basement had flooded. I called three plumbers who all came out to give us estimates. It was easy to schedule the visit for the estimate with Yazmin. Once we met with Mo, it was clear we were going with Alansi's. He was thorough, pointed out some deficiencies with the way the previous sump pumps were installed, and explained to us the work we needed to get done. He also answered our questions in terms we understood and with a good attitude. The estimate also came out to be almost exactly the same as that of another plumbing company that is highly rated on Yelp. But the plumber sent by that company could not have been more apathetic or disinterested in our issues or our questions, and that made us nervous about the quality of work he would do.

Mo went above and beyond by squeezing us in on his schedule to make sure that our pumps were installed before the next round of storms. He and his assistant worked steadily for several hours and tested everything thoroughly before they left. We will definitely call Alansi's again in the future for any plumbing needs.

I don't know what plumbers are supposed to charge but I haven't felt overcharged by them. Happy repeat customer. I hope I don't have more plumbing problems but if I do I will call Alansi.

We've been using Alansi's for our plumbing needs since 2015-first in San Francisco and now in Berkeley.

This week Omar came out and added a dual-valve shut off under our kitchen sink, installed a water purifier, and replaced the leaking hot and cold water valves in our laundry room. He told us ahead of time what he was going to do, gave us estimates, protected our hardwood floors, and got to work.

Our house was built in the early 1900s and then gutted and rebuilt after a fire in 1996 so there are lots of surprises (and shortcuts) when it comes to some of the past work. Under the sink, the pipe he needed to cut to install the dual-valve shut off (so that we could turn off our dishwasher in case of an emergency without having to turn off the water to the sink) was too close to the cabinet wall. He expertly removed the cabinet wall, made the repair, and then fitted a board to close back up the wall.

He had to cut out an old box and put in a new box in the laundry room. To do this some of the sheet rock needed to be removed. He told us and gave us the option to leave the pipes exposed as the plumbers don't do Sheetrock work. Knowing someone would be finishing the space he could have just opened a great big hole. Omar made clean cuts so that patching will be a simple DIY job.

Absolutely love that Omar told us what to expect, gave us options when what was in the wall didn't match, completed the work we needed in a timely manner, and left the work area spotless.

This is a busy time of year and I had a fairly basic set of tasks that a handy person could probably do themselves. I'm not handy.

My cousin who is a real estate agent recommended them and they responded asking for us to send photos of the issues with a description of the problems.

An appointment was scheduled for two days later with a timeframe of arrival from 1-3. They called around 1:30 to say they'd be arriving around 2.

Ivan showed up wearing a mask and booties. He cleared three leaky faucets, unclogged a low flow faucet and fixed a shower that had an internal pipe leak all within 90 minutes.

Pay was all digital via credit card.

I had a very simple, but annoying problem with a locked-up single lever shower valve. I called Alansi's late in the day, and Jasmine from the office took my information, then 30 minutes later Moe, the plumber called to ask what the issue was. I was able to give him the make and age of the shower valve (from 10 years ago). He arrived the next morning first thing with a replacement (he researched it - the original was discontinued) and he was here less than an hour carefully replacing it. The old valve was definitely broken. He was expert at trimming out some tile around the old valve, replacing the valve with the new one, and was professional and friendly throughout. The bill was exactly what he predicted it would be the evening before, and of course he was careful to explain then that it was an estimate that might change once he got into the job. I'm grateful for Moe and Jasmine and having a new go-to plumber for all my needs!

These have been our go to plumbing guys for years now. Just wanted to give a shout out to Mo on the great job he did on fixing our drains and sewer lines. It started with our dishwasher backing up that led to snaking out the kitchen drain. This then caused sewage to come up in our downstairs bathroom. It turned out our main sewer line was clogged that Mo quickly diagnosed. He snaked out our main sewer line and got us up an running again. It's one of those things that looks routine but only if you know what your doing. Mo knows what he's doing. Much more positives to list as well. My family thanks you!

I used Alansi's Plumbing to fix a gas leak in the garage identified by PG&E. Of the three plumbers I contacted, Alansi's was able to help fix the problem. Ivan bought replacement parts, and was familiar with turning on and off the gas lines and the water heaters. He also had a meter that help reconfirm and identify the leak before he started and after to make sure the leak was fixed. All in all in took 3 hours to pick up parts and repair the leak. Yaz at the office was also helpful in scheduling and getting me the quote and invoice for my files. I will use them again for future plumbing issues.

Discovered all our 20 year old plumbing shut off valves in the bathrooms were no longer working correctly. Mo did a great job of installing all new ones, better quality and very fast. It was a building-wide water shutoff so other neighbors asked for some help and he nicely advised or took more work. And then he tightened and. cleaned out my sink fixtures. The price was very reasonable! Highly recommended. Will definitely use them in the future!

I had used Alansi's Plumbing for years in my family bussiness they will go above and beyond to fix your plumbing problems. Other companies will make excuses for the problem and try to charge you more, not Alansi's they are honest and loyal to your plumbing needs.

I had a plumbing issue in my home this week and I called Alansi Plumbing, Moe came out he is curteous, and patient, he took every step to discover the problem with my shower drain. He was able to clear out the drain issue. I was very happy.

I have to say these are my go to guys they are the best at what they do and truth be told they know exactly what to do.

We always go to Alansi's Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs. Why? Because they're professional, don't try to sell you something you don't need, they know what they're doing, and they're good people! Most of our interactions have been with Mo who's a real pleasure to work with. He's had to help us with some pretty nasty situations (sewage backup into our downstairs bathroom!) and always puts us at ease with his plumbing knowledge, suggestions of what we should do and what's needed and, most importantly, the time he takes to make sure the job is done right! The office staff is pretty fantastic too! I appreciate their efficiency when taking our calls and how they always try and get someone out to the house the same day. That's a big plus when you can't use the toilet due to a plumbing problem! If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend Alansi's Plumbing for all your plumbing needs!

Old buildings such as our Edwardian in San Francisco are full of charm but they can also present plumbing nightmares! We experienced one recently when the 100+ year old main bathroom pipes in the upstairs unit started leaking into my downstairs unit. Our usual plumber was not available. What to do?

Turning to Yelp, Alansi's' Plumbing checked out with excellent reviews and comments about fair prices. So we hired them.

I want to second other positive comments and especially thank Khaled who managed the job (with support from Mo the second day).

The company responded promptly to our call for help and Khaled arrived to start the job less than an hour later. He quickly identified the problem and went about the multiple steps to replace the leaking pipe after removing the sheet rock in the upstairs and downstairs units. This turned out to be a time consuming two day job. Khaled was courteous, clear in explaining his work process, dedicated to completing the job in a timely manner and very clean in managing every stage of the job.

Toilet backed up sunday night and spend couple of hours talking to many shady 24hour service plumber decide to wait until Monday morning to call Alansi's was the best decision. Alansi's plumber is very professional and help me clear the block toilet and extend the chain in the tank for better flush and he also quickly fixed my dishwasher clog .
They have really reasonable price, no need to check around.
Will be using them from now on.

Noe was awesome! Not only did he make it out the morning after our hot water heater broke, he was also able to install a new one that day. Sadly that heater was defective but he took the time to nag the manufacturer until they allowed him to exchange it for us. Called alansi to look at constantly running toilet. Turns out the other plumbers who came out installed a defective fill valve. They changed it, installed a new connector and made some other updates. I would have started with alansi in the first place but they don't provide service after 5pm. Appreciate all their hard work though

Replaced our sump pumps a few years back. Every other plumber wouldn't help with sump pumps, or would only look at ones they had installed. No nonsense, advised what needed doing, gave a quote and got on with the job.

We were trying to get a refrigerator delivered but found out that our valve was broken and needed a plumber to come ASAP.

Alansi was amazing, even helped identify the problem through pictures, so we were able to figure out what was happening--something a lot of plumbers won't do over the phone, and instead will say they can't give you a price/diagnosis unless they're on scene, but there's a $$ charge to go out and inspect it

They were even able to schedule us an appointment within the hour! Just great. If I could score more than 5 I would. Hopefully won't need a plumber again anytime soon, but if I do, definitely calling Alansi's again!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - Apparently Some Customers Are Not Good Enough

Alansi gave me a verbal estimate for a laundry sink install. It took them over a week and many phone calls to get a final written quote. The final bid said extending the dryer gas line and installing a faucet was suddenly optional work (more $$$), which was not optional in person. I called the contractor who agreed the gas line should have been included but not the faucet because we didn't explicitly discuss it. I said, umm, of course anyone installing a sink assumes it includes a faucet install! Yes, my issue was drainage but if I'm buying a new utility sink I'd expect a faucet installed and not just an empty tub! Apparently this common sense perspective was unpersuasive and he said the manager would call. An hour later I get an email back (see photos) saying they don't want my business because I'm changing the terms (not true).

I called them back and let's just say it's clear there is something they don't like about me as a customer. It seems to be going around these days. The whole experience was demeaning and very unprofessional. Keep in mind, they didn't come back and say Hey, it looks like there is some miscommunication about the faucet install. It will cost an additional X to do it. That would've been reasonable. Instead, they just told me to shove off.

From other reviews it looks like they do good work, if they approve of you as a customer. Well I didn't pass the test, so I'll never know. Food for thought when you select your next plumber.

UPDATE: The owner called the next day and left a voicemail hoping I would delete this review. When I didn't, he left his comment below. With regard to his comments.

1-We did not do any work for you.
Yes, that's true - I never said you did. This review is based on your treatment of me as a prospective customer and misleading me on the quote.

2-You did not agree to the contract price.
Yes, you are absolutely right because any normal person getting a sink installed assumes that includes installing a faucet.

3 -you did not want to resolve discrepancy but rather argued how the additional work should have been included in the bid.
See #2 above. Also, I would have loved to resolve the discrepancy but you decided that sinks don't need faucets and I was trying to fleece you. Instead of offering me an updated quote, you just told me to shove it. Good luck to your other customers.

4-You had been rude on the phone and raising you voice.
Well I wasn't happy spending weeks to track you down only to find out that Alansi sinks don't come with faucets and when I raised this issue, you dropped me like a bad habit!

5-you made threats to write bad reviews.
Absolutely because you have horrible customer service and you don't think installing a sink includes a faucet.

Finally, I don't think I'm out of bounds trying to find the best plumber at the lowest price. If it hurts your feelings to discuss/negotiate pricing, perhaps you should find a new line of work.

Had a great experience with Alansi's Plumbing. Yehia scheduled me an appointment right away to fix a toilet and Dante did the repair quickly and efficiently. Very good communication and easy to work with. I loved that they emailed the invoice right away--usually you have to bug people for it. Will definitely call them again.

The reason we're giving it 3 stars is because Yahia and Mo deserved 5 stars when, a couple years ago, they installed a water heater. Last year, they diagnosed a leak and repaired the pipes that caused the leaking from a bathroom shower. (Earlier, another plumbing company mis-diagnosed the problem and quoted us an astronomical fee.)
So when we had a kitchen sink problem we immediately called them (they gave us two numbers). I left messages and no call back. A couple days later, I called again on both numbers. Again no response.
I tried their website: not up.
Is everything OK? We miss you.

Amazing service and customer service! The young lady who answers the calls (jasmine I believe- if I'm wrong sorry!!) is so kind and very helpful. Literally had someone out to my house within the hour! Dante arrived so fast and was so sweet to my three year old who was just peppering him with questions and wanting him to play. Dante is one solid, solid dude. Dante fixed my leaking shower head and saved me from yet another ginormous water bill yay! Dante unclogged my basement drain which had mysteriously stopped working. The culprit- a wee toddler sock!! Dante is outstanding. He was super patient, kind and engaging with my three year old, Dante arrived so fast and was so professional and fixed all our plumbing problems in the blink of an eye. We had a problem with our sump pump. The technician, Mo, diagnosed the possible causes, gave us some options & costs and fixed it, all in a couple of hours. He was very professional, especially with regards to wearing a mask and social distancing, which we really appreciated!

If we have another sump pump problem, we'll call Alansi again.

This place is so easy made an appointment for today and Ivan he's pretty good in working in my leaking kitchen sink fixed it good and also took care of my bathroom shower that is clogged and the water was really draining slow and he fixed the pipe with full of hair that's been clogged. Anyway I gave him 5 stars for working within half an hour.

Alansi's Plumbing is about as good as it gets. I have worked with several contractors and none compare to Yehia and his team. He decomissioned an old boiler for us and installed new gas lines for our furnace, as well as, installed gas lines for a gas fireplace. Alansi's Plumbing nailed every part of the job:

- Prompt with scheduling and delivering an estimate
- Showed up on time, every single day. Wore masks, shoe covers, etc.
- Communicated any changes in the job, helped problem solve with me to find the best solution
- Created a clean work environment and left the workspace clean every day
- HIGH QUALITY work. When I show people the finished job, they say the work looks awesome (who says that about gas lines?)
- Great, friendly team, and best of all fair pricing. Alansi's wasn't the cheapest but for the quality it was well worth it.

Overall a great and honest plumber. Would hire again in a second.

I highly recommend Alansi's Plumbing, we hired them to help with a shower that wasn't getting hot enough anymore. The first interaction was with the office staff and they were very responsive, friendly, and professional. They asked all the right questions and specifically asked for some photos of the shower to prepare for the appointment. They gave us an early heads up, based on the photos, that two visits might be necessary because the parts for this shower (from a company that went out of business 10 years ago) would be hard to find.

At the appointment they correctly diagnosed the problem (thermostatic cartridge needed replacement) and also provided some guidance on alternative solutions such as complete replacement when we asked about that. We ended up ordering and installing the broken part ourselves, and that fixed the problem right away. All throughout, the people at Alansi's were super helpful and we would highly recommend them.

We had previously had another plumbing company (Heise's) take a look at this problem, and they were more expensive but did not diagnose or fix the problem, just mucked around with the supply valves a bit, which raised the temperature marginally.

My shower faucet was leaking and the last time that happened it forced water to travel down the wall and into my tenant's apartment downstairs. I was alarmed when it happened again after my usual contractor maintenance guy fixed the problem just three months earlier, or so I thought. I decided to call people who specialize in plumbing and I was super lucky to get Yehia from Alansi's Plumbing who called me.

I described the problem and he said although he could not come out to check the problem today, he could try to instruct me on the simple fix he thought it needed. So he gave awesome instructions over the phone to remove the faucet handle, remove the chrome base from the wall, then use a crescent wrench to tighten the hexagon nut a half-turn clockwise so it was closer to the wall.

Problem fixed! Forget telemedicine. The future may be teleplumbing ;) I am extremely indebted to Yehia for his awesome instructions and explanation why water had traveled downstairs. Some of the excess water was getting pushed back into the wall from the chrome base. Who knew?

The next time I have a plumbing job I can't fix over the phone, I will definitely call Alansi's Plumbing!

Alansi plumbers are great. They are fair and honest. I can call them if I have a problem and the owner always comes if all of his workers are busy. They installed a water heater for me and a month or so later, the pilot blew out. He tried to walk me through it, but when I was unable to do it, he was right here to light it for me. I feel that they go the extra mile. I highly recommend Alansi Plumbing.

Absolute 5 stars in every way. Not just as a plumbing company, but as a business in general. High integrity, superb responsiveness, honest, helpful.

Another plumber told us we needed to root the pipe using a long snake. We called Alansi. Dante came out and looked and we showed him a leak we had as well. He felt like snaking the pipe might actually worsen the leak and it seemed to be draining fine. He spent the time with us, explained to us. Rather than just do the work and collect the payment, he instead thought the issue through, and did the right thing for us. Thanks, Dante. Integrity!

But then what about this leak? So then Mo comes out to see it. He opens up some walls and finds the leak! He did a great job in orderly fashion too. He shows it to me, explains it to me, answers all my questions patiently, and we run some tests and see the leak. He says it's not that simple to fix, and he will be in touch to schedule a time for it to be fixed.

Mo is just so damn responsive, it's amazing. He responds to my texts in quick fashion, we coordinate a time, and Ivan comes out with Mo who explains the situation to him. Ivan is just the nicest guy too. Spends the whole day, fixes the problem, and does a super clean job at it as well. Hell, my dog was barking at Ivan at first and Ivan was so nice to her that she actually whined a bit when he left and became his friend.

Price was absolutely fair for the work and the speed and professionalism of the whole process.

This leak was causing me great stress. Alansi took the stress away even before fixing it, just by being so transparent and honest and responsive. Then they fixed the problem itself in orderly fashion. I dealt with 3 people from the company (Dante then Mo then Ivan) and all three were just helpful, humble, hard working, and good at what they do. What a team!

Could not recommend them any more highly. I am not easy to impress, I will say that much, and these guys knocked it out of the park.

Alansi's is top notch. They were able to give me a quote on the price and estimated time on thr phone. Thyr cleared my sink in an under an hour.

They quoted $100 less than Discount Plumbers. Alansi's quote was in the phone. Discount plumbers was in person. It is interesting that Alansi was more accurate.

They were kind and professional. I trusted them, and I will use them again. I highly recommend. The gentleman who came to my home seemed like he really cared.

Called them at 4:30pm on a Saturday about a possible leak in a gas line. Live person answered right away, was courteous, and had me send a photo ASAP so he could see the issue. Turns out it was a water pipe, not gas line! (My bad. But hooray!) and just a bit of rust, not leaking. All diagnosed by text/photo in two minutes, no repairs needed. 5 stars! Thank you.

Woke up this morning with standing water around the drain in my garage. Worrisome to say the least. Called Alansi's Plumbing and was really happy with the result. First off, very friendly and helpful office person (I'm sorry I don't recall her name) who provided me with a wait time, and let me know I'd get a call before they arrived. I got a call half an hour before they arrived, and they immediately went to work on the problem.

Ivan and Moe came out to look at everything, and explained exactly what was going on. It looks like a tree root is growing through the main line into the house, bummer. They've fixed the issue for now, but it looks like there will be sidewalk mayhem in my future.

The guys were really great though, and I would not hesitate to call them again. In fact, I plan on calling them to handle the great sidewalk fiasco of 2016 because I'm not waiting for crap to get worse.

I had an excellent experience with Alansi's. Dante, my plumber, arrived within the service window and was very professional and knowledgeable. He quickly identified and showed me the source of the problem (different than I had assumed) and then efficiently dispatched the leak. He even gave me some advice on how to more thoroughly dry out the under-sink area.

Needed an expert to replace a prover switch on my A.O.Smith Vertex GDHE 50 water heater, Alansi's Plumbing technician did a good job,

We saw that our 22 year old hot water heater was beginning to leak. I had called Alansi several years ago and was so pleased with them so I called them at 10 AM. They said they would call me back to set up appt. They called within 10 minutes to set up appt for 1:00 PM . At exactly 1PM Moe came and determined that we needed a new hot water heater.
He ordered on per phone, asked for another colleague to come and after removing and installing a brand new one , they were finished by 5 PM!
Excellent work, reasonable price and really good technicians. They deserve all the 5 star ratings!

Alansi Plumbing is amongst the best plumbing company in San Francisco. I've had them come 3 times in 5 years (not because of their service, but because I have bad piping susceptible to clogs) and they've always cleared my drains with a smile and in about an hour. I specifically want to give praise to Moe and Dante who are very personable, friendly and professional. Both of them took the time to explain what the situation was as well as some preventative education. I fully recommend Alansi Plumbing for your needs and their price is great!

Look no further, these people are the best!!! We've used this company multiple times from issues with a water heater to issues with a leaking overhead pipe to a disposal. They are ON TIME or earlier. They are prompt and efficient. They quote at a reasonable rate. They even add in small extras (like replacing washers for free). They are considerate, such as taking off their shoes in your house without asking. They will even recommend cheaper alternatives.

We tried to other plumbers from a home warranty service and they either were no shows or didn't call back. I can't recommend these guys enough.

Awesome. They came out right away to fix an emergency. Customer service is great. Ivan came out and was very professional. He wore shoe covers, laid down a mat to keep our floors clean, and he wore a mask the whole time. You would think that this great service would cost more, but their rates are pretty standard: $190 for 1st hour, $115 for every hour thereafter. Not a high markup for parts. You could tell that Ivan takes pride in his work, he was swift but careful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend. We were referred to Alansi's by a neighbor that had their cast iron sewage pipe replaced - they were also really happy with the work.

Amazing! Home project to replace a bathroom sink and faucet gone bad. I overtightened a nut causing a small leak in the supply line. Not something I could fix except for turning the water off. I quickly made a few calls to other plumbers and the thought of not having water for the weekend (this happened on a Friday) started to become a concerning reality. Then I called Alansi's. They had a reasonable quote and someone to my place within 2 hours!

Dante was able to fix the leak and then stay to install the sink and faucet. The additional cost was very reasonable and did not increase. Installation was perfect and Dante was great! I will use Alansi's for all future plumbing issues. Thanks!!!

Called at 11:15am today, clogged toilet unclogged by 1pm! Now that's service!!! Charged $135 for the flat time rate.

This is a family run business. The woman answering the phones was very pleasant to speak with. The plumber who came into my home was friendly, efficient, took off his shoes, cleaned up afterwards, explained everything & gave me an official quote prior to beginning. I also received a formal invoice emailed to me afterwards.

I believe they have one person on call for emergency clogs, as well as someone that handles appointments. I'd highly recommend this company.

I called Alansi's Plumbing after a negative experience with Mr Rooter. I had Mr Rooter come out to look at a faucet that was leaking. They had quoted me $1100 (recommended) or $250 (not recommended). The tech I was working with could not tell me what the benefits were of choosing the more expensive option or what the difference would be between the two projects. I called Alansi's as soon as he left and they fixed my sink for about $200, plus everyone that I dealt with on the phone and in person was very pleasant and friendly. Thank you!

Professional, reliable, component, transparent, reasonable, and friendly. They are also very clean: left their shoes by the front door, covered the work area with their own rugs, and didn't leave any mess behind for us to have to clean up. What else do you ask for? Used their service twice so far: replacing a bathroom faucet and replacing the water heater (full service, including getting the new water heater unit that fits the specs). Highly recommended!

Our kitchen sink was badly clogged and we called Alansi's Plumbing based upon Yelp reviews. We were not disappointed. (I LOVE it when home repair dramas turn out well !!)

They showed up on time and did a great job for a reasonable price. The woman on the phone gave me a very clear breakdown of the charges and Mo, the plumber who came to my house, was professional, friendly and well-prepared.

I have used Alansi at least two more times this year (2019), and they have been unfailingly prompt, friendly and professional. They go out of their way to get a plumber to you ASAP. One job was replacing a bathroom sink faucet when one of the old faucet's handles broke off. I had bought a new unit and had it ready when the plumber arrived, but it turned out that there were other missing parts that were needed. The Alansi plumber provided those at no charge and did an excellent job. I can't praise them highly enough.

Called for a same day appointment to snake the drains in the bathroom. For the phone estimate, they said an hourly rate would be best- $195 for 1st hour, then ~$90 each 30 minutes after that. Our job took 1 hour with 1 plumber dispatched to us. Dante was kind, honest, and hard working- a pleasure to work with.

It was also nice that they had a mobile payment system + iPAD. Received the receipt via email instantly. Good for recordkeeping and tax deductions in April.

The only con was that our plumber arrived 2 hours late from our scheduled time. I had to call when my appointment time came up but didn't see anyone outside my door. My appointment was on a Monday. (they only work Mon-Fri)

Customer service overall was great- Yehia helped triage a miscommunication with me and the dispatched plumber re: what jobs were needed. The on-site plumber stayed while we sorted out the details- I think he ended up being here for over 1.5 hours, but they honored the original quote for 1 hr. Easy to work with- would use them again!

My kitchen sink was backed up and I called Alansi's, having read their excellent reviews. They were able to confirm a same day appointment (on a Saturday) and 15 minutes before the scheduled time, I got a call from Dante telling me he was 15 minutes away. Wow!
DANTE was polite, courteous and explained everything he was doing. Within an hour, my kitchen sink was draining again and all was well. I told him about a bathroom sink of mine that has always drained slowly and he took a quick look at it and told me it was just a clogged pop up mechanism which he took out and cleaned. Took him all of 2 mins.

I had a clogged kitchen sink. Booking was easy over the phone. The dispatcher said that their rate is $165/hour and most jobs get completed within the hour. They were true to form. They don't do free assessments, but trust me...you can trust Alansi's Plumbing to be your plumber of choice.

Donte from Alansi's was my plumber. He gave me a courtesy phone call 15 minutes prior to the appointment. He was on time, extremely professional and proficient at his job. He even was respectful of my space and took his shoes off prior to entry into my home. Donte diagnosed, and fixed the problem efficiently. We went a little over an hour, but he charged me for only an hour because he said the extra time was for walking back and forth from his car to get his tools. I even tried to give him a tip for an excellent job well done, and he refused! He asked if I yelped and said a yelp review would mean so much more. I would have given this company 5 stars regardless.

Just as comparison, I called Roto Rooter prior to Alansi's. They showed up to complete a 'free assesment'. The plumber showed up, did NOT even enter my home, and said the FLAT rate would be $445 plus extra for parts and additional labor.

So don't waste your time trying to find another plumber. Alansi's is it. You can trust them, they are reliable, professional, and don't charge you an arm and a leg! They do what they say they are going to do, which is provide great work!

I contacted Alansi's Plumbing after reading all of the great reviews on here, and was pleased to discover that those five stars are completely justified.

I just had a kitchen faucet and a toilet installed by Josh, and I couldn't be more pleased with his work. He explained every step of the process before he started, did quality work in a short period of time, and left all work areas cleaner than he found them. This is to update my review from a couple years ago. Same problem - blocked main house drain, same rating - five stars. Alansi's responded quickly, fixed the problem, price reasonable. These guys know what they're doing.

We have a 100+ year old house, and it's not surprising there are plumbing problems. Beyond fixing the blockage problem, Alansi's plumber Mo took the time to draw a diagram and explain the problem to me, recommended that I monitor the problem, and if the backups become too frequent, I would need to replace the house sewer line to the street, which is old/clay pipe.

This company's high customer ratings are well deserved. Everything from first contact through the completion of the job was smooth running and on point.

Booking was easy, having been given the choice between two possible windows. I got a courtesy call prior to arrival and the plumber was onsite within the agreed upon timeframe.

The job, a basic clog, was analyzed and properly remedied. On top of that, a piece of damaged pipe was repaired/replaced. I thought that might cost me an arm and a leg but it was totally reasonable at just over $150 for all of it.

The guy was real mindful about clean up and putting things back in place after the job. One of the best parts -- easily -- was the immediate observation of the no-shoe rule and automatic removal of shoes (I didn't even ask) upon entering the unit.

Yes, top rate service. You should book these guys.

I want to break from my pure Haiku format for a second time ever and just say that Alansi's has gone out of their way for us on a number of jobs over the past year. Our 75 year old house would not have water in or water out if it was not for Moe's above-and-beyond service. He has gone out of his way to fix old problems that came with our house, new problems caused by other plumbers, and upgrading outdated plumbing with new up-to-code systems (not an easy task in SF). From the entire bathroom lines and drains to our new washer and dryer with gas and water lines, we wouldn't bother calling anyone else. Alansi's did an excellent job with replacing our water heater. Initially, I called them to disconnect an old roof-top solar water heater that needed to be removed so that our roof could be re-done. Mo came out to provide an estimate for this job. While at our house, he noticed that our gas water heater was rather old (which we knew), and was poorly installed (the gas line was not secured, the vent was at the wrong angle and the heater itself was leaning).

He ended up giving us two estimates - one for the initial job I had asked about and a second for a complete replacement of the gas water heater. The price was good so we went with the full replacement. Yehia came out to do the work, and was very efficient. Within a few hours, we had a brand-new water heater, properly installed. Now we can rest easy knowing that we don't have to worry about the old water heater suddenly failing.

This is our second good experience with Alansi's, and they are definitely our go-to plumbers now.

Tenant contacted me this morning to report they had no hot water since last night. I called Alansi Plumming and spoke with Yasmine who was able to dispatch a plumber to the site between 10a - 12p to assess and repair water heater. Repair was done within hours, rate was reasonable and Yasmine was very professional, efficient and great to work with.

I have used Alansi 3 times before for minor plumbing issues in my older home on the peninsula. When a series of drain pipe in my crawl space needed to be replaced, I decided to shop around to find a good mix of quality/price. In the end, I decided to go with Alansi for the following reasons.

- Prompt and professional response. (This was shockingly difficult with others. Either too busy and/or lack of follow through)
- Very competitive pricing.
- Honesty.
- Consistently high Yelp reviews.

In the end, it was less than 48 hours for the entire process.
- Tues night, text the supervisor some pics of the damage.
- Weds afternoon, formal estimate done in person by Mo (knowledgable and professional)
- Thurs morning I gave the go ahead to do the work, and work done by the afternoon.

In a word......THE BEST! I've lived in SF for 34 years, owned 6 homes, done a ton of remodeling and repairs. Finding a reputable plumber, with a good attitude, caring, kind and efficient, was, up until an hour ago, impossible.

Then I met Mo.

I had a small faucet problem, and as he and I pulled into a plumbing supply house at the same time, he looked over at me and smiled. I asked him his advice on a valve stem problem I was having. Absolutely NO hesitation....no talk of This will cost you or I'm really in a hurry or Call and make an appointment. Just, How can I be of service?

Bottom line, he grabbed some tools, took 15 minutes, and solved my issue in the parking lot! I, of course, dipped into my wallet to pay him for his time and effort, but mostly, his attitude. He refused payment! WHAT!! I begged him to take his family to dinner, buy an extra Holiday gift....buy a new tool..anything. Happy Holidays, he said.

OH-MG! i cannot believe how pleased i am! i could not be a single bit happier with my experience with alansi's plumbing.

here at work we've been getting these astronomical charges from the water company. they've sent numerous people out and NONE of them could figure out what the problem was. of course we all suspected the toilet but there was no definitive answer and the inflated water bills just kept on coming.

finally, the toilet just kept running and running and the tank wasn't filling up. i called alansi's and they sent josh out with in the hour. when he got here, he found the problem & replaced the part; friendly, professional and efficient. he prepared the invoice with the problem outlined so we can send it to the water company.

all these months of having this STUPID problem and alansi's swoops right in and fixes it on the spot. i will be sure to recommend these guys.

Moe came back to help us with a completely different plumbing issue today, and as before he was prompt, skilled, and friendly. No Charge for Help.

This is an odd review because Yehia didn't change me for his consultation. It was Saturday of Labor Day weekend. The toilet in my apt started dripping and the manager was out of town. I called a bunch of plumbers and none answered. I got a hold of Yehia and he walked me throughout what to do by phone. I sent him some pics of the leak and he determined it needed a new part that could only be found at plumbing stores...all closed until Tuesday!

Yehia walked me through clever temporary solution too divert the leak into the toilet rather than the floor. He could have charged me to come to the apt and do the same thing. We spent about t1/2 hour on the phone and texting and he didn't charge me a thing!

If I ever have a plumbing problem I'll call Yehia ASAP. He is friendly, smart, helpful and trustworthy.

Moe and Luis did a great job in installing copper pipes - replacing the galvanized pipes that were corroded leading from the basement to the upstairs sink. The work was done well and the price was great. It was a hard job.
Moe does the estimates and site inspection - before and after.
He is great to work with.
The only flaw is that they can take a while to get a bid to you.
I would recommend them and use them again.

I found Alansi through Yelp when my hot water heater broke and Fidelity National Home Warranty wanted me to wait 3 days for them to send out one of their contractors. Alansi was able to come out within a few hours of my initial call and by that night I had a brand new hot water heater and the old one whisked away! The whole team was great: Mia, who first took my call, Mo who came out to assess and get the job started, and Luis who finished it off. Mo was kind enough to spend time on the phone with Fidelity to get the job authorized so that my expenses could get reimbursed by my home warranty plan. Amazing job. i had an unidentified leak in my basement and needed help identifying the source of the leak. Mo came to inspect the leak and check out what was the source of the leak. He explained the diagnostic process that he would be undertaking to discover the cause on our call before hand. He came on time and was prepared with all the tools he needed to figure out the source of the leak. He brought protective plastic to cover all my personal belongings to make sure nothing got were or was damaged. He cleaned up after himself and even brought a water vacuum pump to clean up any water spillage. I was very impressed with the professionalism. He was upfront about costs. Billing was transparent and straightforward and there were no surprises. He didn't try and bill me extra for services and add on costs for unknown things. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Called several plumbing companies to help a clogged drain in a light well that (along with the recent rains), was causing standing water and water intrusion. Because this light-well is located between two buildings and only accessible with a 30+ foot ladder down from the roof, the other companies were quoting $550 minimum.

Then we called Alansi's. They had Moe come out within a couple of hours to assess the problem and give us a quote of less than $400. The following morning Ivan and Francisco came out to do the work and they were on-time, professional, and did a great job! They showed us photos of the situation before and after as well as the debris they removed from the drain - I appreciated their honesty and transparency.

Absolute lifesavers! Our laundry area sink was not only not draining but it was continuous filling up due to the heavy downpour we experienced today. Drano and the plunger were no help and I was literally using a five gallon bucket to bail out the water every 20 minutes. I called Alansi's and they were able to send Dante out to help the same day. I was provided a two-hour window and he arrived within that window as stated. He was able to quickly determine the cause of the issue and went straight to work and fixed the problem within a reasonable timeframe. He was efficient, pleasant and professional. Many, many thanks! Had a great experience with Alansi's Plumbing today. Called them because our toilet was backed up and we had a slow draining sink. They provided me with a quote over the phone and gave me a window of time which they would show up.

Mo, the plumber, showed up promptly on time and was very professional. He was very honest with me about all the repairs needed and not needed. He even talked me through the details of what needed to happen.

I would highly recommend using Alansi's services and will definitely call them again if I ever have any plumbing issues.

I would like to add my 5 star review to all the ones they already have.

Both of the toilets got clogged and we tried snaking them with a snake that we have. No luck.... the clog was further down the line.

I called around 11am. The person who answered the phone was very professional and gave me some great advice. I asked him how long until he could get some one to look at it. Around 1 hour is what I was told. And sure enough about 55minutes later in walked in Josh.

Josh was very professional as well. He looked at the problem, asked a couple of questions and then went to work.

Of course I was told on the phone what the initial charge would be and if it went over an hour that it would be more. Knowing that it was not going to be an easy fix I was expecting the More Scenerio.

About 45 minutes later Josh came up and said he was done. He even mopped both bathrooms and they had flooded a little. Talk about pride in your work. It is the little things like that, why they get so many great reviews.

toilet backed up sunday night and spend couple of hours talking to many shady 24hour service plumber decide to wait until Monday morning to call Alansi's was the best decision. Alansi's plumber is very professional and help me clear the block toilet and extend the chain in the tank for better flush and he also quickly fixed my dishwasher clog .
They have really reasonable price, no need to check around.

I could not agree more. Over the years we've had the occasional random need for a plumber. (Anything from clogged disposal/drains, to a suddenly and mysteriously cracked toilet that needed immediate replacing.) After our first excellent encounter with Yehia, we have never hesitated to call Alansi's each time. We've also worked with Moe and Steve, both of whom continue to represent Alansi's favorably.

In short:
- They come right away, and I mean RIGHT away! (Today, they sent someone over in less than 2 hours after I called.)
- They work efficiently - this matters since part of the cost of course is time spent
- They actually fix things - we've never needed to call them back after they've been here
- They give us a discount for being their neighbors :) yet they continue to be professional, courteous and mindful of our space (i.e. putting things away, cleaning up the work area)
- Still no plumbers' butts!!
- As for the cats, they still only come out for Yehia, not the others. All the more endorsement though, as it is his company after all! (Cats are SO particular.)

This company is amazing! Not only did they arrive within an hour of us calling (VERY BIG deal when you have toilets leaking and drains not draining) and after we had been turned down by 4 other plumbing companies but they sent the most helpful and knowledgeable plumber. Moe to the rescue again!

This is my second review for this business. The guys at Alansi's plumbing saved the day again. I needed plumbing repairs at two properties and they tackled all the issues with ease.

We had a clogged toilet at one property, and leaky sink plumbing and a toilet that constantly ran at the other. I called Yehia and he scheduled back to back appointments, so that made it very convenient for us. Plus, they called thirty minutes before their arrival, so I wasn't hanging around waiting like I usually am for other service appointments.

The company owner dispatched Moe and he is the absolute best. He continues to be the guy that can tackle any plumbing problem. He always thoroughly investigates the issue and based on his findings makes recommendations. What impresses me the most is that when he has everything taken apart for repair work, he always checks the status of the other pieces integral to the performance of the fixture and let's me know if the life use of the item is coming to an end. In most cases he has replacement parts on the truck, so he can easily and inexpensively swap out old pieces for new. If replacing a five or ten dollar part on this service call prevents me from having to have a plumber out again and pay for a second service call, I'll take that advice any day!

Moe always thoroughly tests everything, checking and double checking his work before he leaves. And, if there is something you don't understand, he can walk you through it and writes a detailed description on the invoice.

I highly recommend Alansi's plumbing and hope Yehia continues to send Moe when we call. Whether an emergency call or simple plumbing repair, Moe is great to work with - highly qualified and thorough, without the hefty price tag you find with other plumbers. They stand behind the work, and that's why I keep using them.

This is an update. Very soon after the fix referred to in my earlier post, yet another problem arose with the new water heaters. It was a bit complex--too much so to go into it here--but the bottom line is that Alansi took responsibility, swapped out the part that was making the trouble and did so without additional charge. This is the second time we have used Alansi's and we have been quite pleased both times. This time we had a blockage of the main drain leading out of our house. I scheduled a visit in advance. Dante appeared promptly and provided efficient, competent, friendly service. He also helped explain other potential issues and ways to prevent future damage. Until I discovered this company, I had used other plumbers in the past, and Alansi's definitely outshines the competition. I was skeptical about the glowing reviews, but the reviews don't lie. My garbage disposal was leaking, and I was nervous about hiring a plumber, but Dante was great. He was extremely polite and professional. I had asked for an estimate over the phone, and the pricing matched exactly ($190 an hour, plus about $100 for a new disposal). Dante was very efficient, cleaned up everything and explained both the company warranty (one month) and the manufacturer's warranty (one year if I registered online).

I will definitely call them again if I have the misfortune of any plumbing problems in the future.

UPDATE: The very next day, my dishwasher stopped draining. Seemed like too much of a coincidence, and I thought it might have been related to the garbage disposal replacement (which was also a possible cause listed by the dishwasher manual). I left a message on Saturday morning, and they promptly called me back and arranged for Mo to come that very day. Mo looked everything over and confirmed that it was not a plumbing issue, but probably the motor and gave me a recommendation for a dishwasher repairman. I really appreciate that Alansi's honored the warranty and came by to check things out without a big hassle. It's rare that people stand by their work like that.

Another 5-stars for this great firm.
Two days ago, we noted back-up from an outside drain that could flood our garage if not resolved. Since I was able to fix easily ten years ago when this last happened, I tried again this a.m. Not!

A call and text/photo of the drain got us an appointment right away. Dante was there before the office said he would be and he had all the tools to do the job.

In less than 5-minutes, he had the drain unclogged. And he made sure by his balloon pressure attachment and inspection of our other nearby drains that the clogged matter wouldn't impact them. Quick and professional, like the other Alansi work we've had over the last few years.

I had a clogged drain. Tried to fix it myself with a coat hanger, got the hanger stuck and made the problem worse.

I called Alansi's at 8am. By 9am there was someone at my house. By 9:45am the drain was totally fixed. This all came in under the 1 hour minimum cost (which was $165) and came with a one month warranty on the drain. Very happy with the service, speed, and price. I know who my future plumber is now!

Do not use this company for anything else that run of the mill easy plumbing. They snaked our drain and broke off the overflow valve resulting in even more damage and headaches. I spoke with the owner who was extremely unhelpful and he took zero responsibilities for the actions of his workers and basically said he would see me in small claims court. We've worked with many SF plumbers over the years and this company is the worst.

It doesn't get better than this. Based on Yelp! reviews, I called Alansi's at 2pm with a clogged toilet and two others acting up. Since we are going to have company over for Christmas dinner in a few days, this could be a disaster. The woman on the phone was very friendly and efficient. They were able to send their guy over within the hour! He was done by 4pm, showing me what he did and explaining what he thought the problems were. He was very professional (took off his shoes at the door), knowledgeable and fast. The cost was very reasonable since they service 3 toilets. These are our new go-to plumbers for sure.

We were in a pickle and risked a pretty extensive job that would've meant that they worked through the night and they were ready to do it without complaints. FANTASTIC!!! Just had a new sink, garbage disposal, faucet and dishwasher hook up w vent installed by Alansi's plumbing. They also replaced the old plumbing parts below sink. Great workmanship and very fair pricing. Super professional, on time and even cleaned up the work area nicely afterwards. This is the first time I've used Alansi's Rooter and Plumbing and am extremely happy with their service. My original appointment was scheduled for 3pm but Alansi was able to send someone out earlier last minute.

Steve showed up on time and was extremely professional. He replaced the pilot unit in about an hour and my tenants were happy to have hot water again. I will definitely be using Alansi's service for any water heater, plumbing needs etc. in the future.

Alansi's Plumbing to our rescue! I spoke to Yehia, who answered all my questions and said most likely a snake would fix the problem. Initially, Yehia had no same-day appointments, so I made an appointment for the next day. But, within one hour of our conversation, Yehia called back because one of his technicians, Josh, was freed up and could stop by the same day. Unfortunately, we could not snake our lines clear. We repalced the pipe, but it was over 50% less than another quote. The 5* reviews are legit.

Everyone needs a good doctor, dentist, electrician, mechanic and plumber in their lives. I don't have them all, but I am happy to at least have a trustworthy plumber to call when shit backs up. Alansi's has never let me down. Whether it's a small roto rooting job (which other companies have failed in terrible fashion) or a huge sump pump replacement job, Alansi's has always come through with reasonable rates and good work. I would highly recommend this business if you have plumbing problems.

I can't say enough good things about this company. We own a duplex, so we have double the number of repairs that you would normally have with a single-family home. Alansi's Plumbing has been providing plumbing services to us since 2011, and we have used them 15 times for all types of plumbing issues: water heater repair and replacement; installation of toilets and faucets; unclogging of drains; and repairing water leaks. Their response time is excellent, their work is thorough, and they complete the job within the expected time. They arrive on time and leave the work area clean when they are finished. Their employees are welcoming, professional, friendly, and respectful--from the time you place your first phone call to the completion of your service request. Rotor Rooter was sure it would be a main branch issue and some other install in which they would need to take out the entire toilet, a $450 proposal, but you fixed it with just a drain cleaning. I am a small business owner and I try my very best to support the small business community around my area. At times, I normally get charged a little more to support them but in this case Alansi's Plumbing not only gave me the best price but did a wonderful job with my plumbing issues at my floral studio. They were quick. Yehia returned my call with in an hour and suggested I take a video of the problem since I called late, he will not be able to get someone out on-site to get an estimate. These guys are so helpful.
My master shower was leaking and Mia in the office told me the best move would be for me to order the part because they couldn't source it themselves. Once it was delivered, they came out - on time - and dropped it in place and the shower is as good as new.
Contrast that to another plumber I had called earlier who wanted to send someone to look and diagnose the issue in person, then charge me for the labor to go to a supplier in person to try to find the part, then charge me a 35% markup on the part, then come back and install. Fortunately the other plumber didn't show up on time so I cancelled them and called Alansi instead. Now I know.

He was a real nice guy and had to try a few things to unclog the line but managed to do so in about an hour. We had a problem with our water heater, so we had to take cold showers for a night! One night without hot water is long enough!

The next morning Adrian came to our house and within minutes diagnosed the problem and called someone from the main office to pick up the part for him. As he was waiting for the part to arrive, he started to dismantle the defective section inorder to save time. 20 minutes later the part arrived and he started the installation process.

Very professional, no BS and they don't mark up the price for parts. However much they paid for it, is however much they will charge you for. Honest and genuinely nice people!

My brother and I own our late parents' home where we grew up in. It is an older home.

We rent this home out and, as the years go by, problems happen and we take care of them with our general handyman I found here on Yelp!

Well the worst problem occurred the very beginning of April 2011. Our renters, very friendly and reliable folks, told us of low-to-no water pressure problems and no hot water. Previously we had hot water problems & replaced the water heater.

This time, we knew, it was worse. We had other plumbers come out to assess the extent, as well as I was working with an Inspector but from another county. Just personal expertise opinion. They explained how to check the water pressure on our own, about pressure release valves, and more. A couple of assessments were worst-case scenarios: ripping apart the asphalt and concrete to replace old galvanized pipes with copper pipes and massive replacement of pipelines within the house, including tearing off walls. This was a bad time for such an expense. As a result of current economic times, my brother has been out of work for 9 months and other bills and children's college tuition were piling up. We were forewarned of costs in the thou$and$. Even 5 figure$ in dollar$.

I did my research and interviewed about 4 contractors. One of these contractors did not do asphalt/pavement work and referred me to Yehia of Alansi's Plumbing.

When my nephew and a maintenance friend of mine interviewed Yehia, we looked at one another and nodded. And later agreed he really knew his business. He was so knowledgeable when he assessed and explained the problems. He said the galvanized street lines eventually need to be changed, but not right away. His solution would help give us that extra time. And the cost for breaking the asphalt and pavement, and replacing those pipelines was quoted VERY REASONABLE. Being my brother was still trying to recoup from being unemployed, we decided to go with Yehia for the internal repairs. And probably deal with the outside part next year going with Yehia,

The inside work did require re-routing and replacement of branch pipe lines, pipes from the lower level to the upstairs level, redoing some of the bathroom plumbing and fixtures. Including behind-the-shower pipes and the fixtures, vanity removal with sheet rock removed to replace line pipes, even the toilet with it's lines moved from the wall to the floor. Even the kitchen had issues. We thought that was going to be a major financial headache & inconvenience to our wonderful tenants.

When Yehia gave us his bid proposal amount, I was floored. In a happy way. His quote was VERY REASONABLE. His worst case cost was only $300 more.

Yehia said it would take one to 1-1/2 days. I thought it would take a week!! I jumped on signing the acceptance agreement, no hesitation at all. He and his crew came 9am and actually stayed until nearly 9pm just to finish the job. And the renters were happy about that too. Yehia's repair time, for the most part, were during working hours when nobody was home. So the folks would not have to be all that further inconvenienced with water and bathroom access problems.

Everything works fine now. Normal water pressure throughout the house. And hot water is back. Everyone was happy with the results. The renters and both my brother and myself. And Yehia cut exposed wall carefully and inserted back w/touch up. Really blends in and no post-work painting even necessary. And no tile work required in the tub area, as a new fixture with larger base plate was used. He even replaced the shower head at no extra cost.

And Yehia charged us the low end cost of his estimate!! He also did small things not on his job work order. He even fixed this door issue the renter pointed out, something totally unrelated. And is currently researching the water heater with the manufacturer based on model and serial number. And Yehia warranties his work.

Yehia (Alansi's Plumbing) has well-earned their high Yelp! ratings. I can attest to that, as expressed in this blog.

Not only is Yehia so experienced and knowledgeable in his line of work, he is very professional and personable to work with. He is really a very HONEST and FRIENDLY guy. I told Yehia that my brother and I contemplated about selling the house we grew up in because of potential costs for ongoing repairs which continue to escalate. On a personal level, Yehia convinced us never to sell SF property. Just keep up with the repairs and find the right contractors. The costs are not as all that bad as we think.

Yehia was right. And we found the right plumbing contractor in Alansi's Plumbing. I truly highly recommended this company for plumbing needs. And when it comes to related asphalt and pavement work, he's the go-to guy for that too. Yehia gave us a major sense of relief and peace. Our late parents would be proud and thankful to Yehia. He's our plumber from here on.

Alansi's Plumbing rules! I had them check two drains. One in my garden that I have a constant battle keeping dirt and leaves out of and my bathroom tub drain that was definitely clogged for 3 days. Our plumber showed up early and assessed that the garden drain was still okay and then he went to work on our bath tub drain. He worked diligently and cleared it up real nice. No drain cleaner was going make it through that mess, but Alansi's Plumbing did. Thank you for sending such a great plumber to our house. Very professional and pleasant as well.

I have now used these guys 4 times. They recently helped my mother in law with a problem and she can't stop thanking me. My mother in law....

They have repaired simple things in a timely fashion. They found one of my toilets had a recall after 8 years and got new parts at no charge! They fixed a plumbing rats nest under my sink after two others tried and failed. It is a work of art now that works flawlessly.

I would never think twice about leaving these guys alone in my house, that is how much I trust them to do good work at a fair price!

Very professional and efficient experience with Alansi. Adrian and his assistant came out to replace a flush valve and look at the water supply line to my toilet.

He did a quick assessment and replaced the valve. He tightened up the supply line so it didn't leak anymore. I called the previous day and left a message and they called me back in 15 minutes to confirm my appointment time. They called 20 minutes before they arrived.

Once he was finished the repairs, he mentioned that the toilet was not bolted to the floor and that may be an issue long term for the feeder pipe. I assured him that I'll be doing a full replacement soon and asked whether they can do the work. They said no problem and that with my 12 inch clearance, you can pretty much select any unit to replace it which I needed to know.

The money was inconsequential against the quality of service and the work. Will definitely use them again.

A few years ago, I bought my ideal home. Nice neighborhood, great location and decent size. The only thing that bugged me is that it had an electric stove with only an electric outlet. I seriously hate electric stoves and wanted a gas line installed in my kitchen. This was pre-Yelp, so I called plumbers in the phone book and received several estimates that were ridiculous.

Fast forward to a month ago. My oven breaks :) and I decide to Yelp plumbers. My husband called Alansi's and got things going. Not only was it a fraction of what these other places quoted, but they handled everything from getting the permit, installation, and setting up the appointment with the city inspector. Unlike other places, they didn't try to sell us things we didn't need. Alansi's is highly recommended and very honest!!

I can't recommend these guys highly enough. We had a challenging toilet repair job: a pressure-vessel flush toilet, and the pressure vessel was leaking. The plumber Moe was punctual, focused, and knew exactly how to proceed with the repair. He completed the repair in one visit, within the time they originally estimated for the job, with excellent workmanship. I should also mention that Alansi's office staff was extremely polite and efficient in setting up the job and answering my questions. They allowed me to share photos via text message to make sure the scope of the work was clear. I will not hesitate to contact Alansi's for future plumping needs of any kind!

Amazing! I'll be using Yehia as my plumber forever...
I had a problem with my sink drain. I decided to use Yelp vs. the same old plumber. I chose Alansi.
Yehia was not only on time, but did not try to 'sell' me things that were unneeded. The drain works beautifully.
My plumbing story does not end here... I decided to update the faucets in my bathroom. Yehia helped me all the way... When difficulties were found, he remained calm and took the steps to work through then. Most importantly, there was no nickel and dime approach as with most plumbers. Yehia's major concern...to ensure I was satisfied.
I asked about other plumbing needs. He could have easily sold them to me. Instead, Yehia calmly explained the risk/cost/benefit of each.

Used Alansi's Rooter and Plumbing again for the second time at my parents house.
Their kitchen sink wouldn't drain unless it sat overnight. I tried cleaning all the p traps and snake it myself, but the clog was further down next to the main pipes. I called Alansi's on Saturday and they said between 2 and 4 o'clock, but they arrived at 12:30.
This time the younger brother came and he was very polite and professional. He cleaned out the drain, plus found a leak i had in a copper pipe that had a nail in it. The nail has been in the pipe for twenty plus years, when plywood was put on the walls for earthquake retrofitting.I wasn't charged for the additional help and everything worked out great. Very good company.

Our kitchen sink kept getting clogged so my bf called on a weekend and had them come out. I'm downstairs cleaning our bedroom when my bf comes down and tells me I need to check out the plumber. Cause 'he's kinda cute.' 'um, cute.. like cute old man?' 'no, like cute italian soccer player cute.' So I go upstairs and pretend I need to do something and get a peak. And it's true, the guy they sent out was tall, tan, with longish perfect curly hair and an accent (turns out he's brazilian). And he cleared the drain quickly and for $69.

So to all the single ladies, you know who to call when you need to get your pipes unclogged. Holler.

Wow... These guys are great!

Fast response time to my non-emergency call. They showed up, listened to the plumbing symptoms I observed, did some checking, verified the problem, quoted me a price and got to work all in less than 10 minutes.

I called their office and paid over the phone before they were complete. Very reasonable pricing and fair evaluation of the problem. Plus, these guy went above and beyond... My toilet didn't like to fill up and my tub drain was very slow. These were not the issues I had them fixing, but they took care of them for me anyway without billing me.

I will refer these guys to everyone I know because they arefast, honest, hard working, not greedy and are extremely professional!

They get my highest rating and recommendation.

Very highly recommended! Great service all the way around. Two appointments on time for both. Very easy to deal with and he went out of the way to be helpful, careful and communicative. Yehia did the work and he was very nice to give me advice for free on how I could fix my noisy toilet myself, even though I was only paying him to work in the kitchen.

Next time I need plumbing service I will definitely be calling Alansi's. Oh and they give a discount if you mention you found them on Yelp.

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT STAND BY THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK. IF THEY DON'T FIX THE ISSUE COMPLETELY DURING THE FIRST VISIT YOU ARE GUARANTEED THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR '30 DAY GUARANTEE.' SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME AND CALL A DIFFERENT PLUMBING COMPANY.

If I could give this business a negative rating I would. I first contacted Alansi's to repair a clogged garbage disposal last week. I was able to get an appointment next day after calling several other plumbers who didn't have availability (I should've wondered why they had multiple appointments available the next day). The plumber came after the stated reservation window but did fix the drain and was very polite. However, the next time I went to run my dishwasher I saw that water had pooled in the bottom of the dishwasher as a result of the backed up drain. I ran the dishwasher to try to drain the residual water, but that didn't work and instead more water pooled in the bottom of the dishwasher. I contacted the plumber -- who at the time of service assured me that they stood by their work and if there was an issue within 30days to just call and they would come back free of charge -- and was promptly told we don't work on dishwashers. No questions about the problem just completely, No. I don't understand how a plumber would not know how to fix a dishwasher that wasn't draining as a result of a clogged garbage disposal so I insisted that someone come back out to check on the issue. After two days of calling the office I was finally given a service window of 10a-3p (what happened to all of the plumbers that were available originally when they were charging $175 to show up?). Of course the plumber showed up at 2:45p, and within seconds of looking at the dishwasher and drain showed his true colors and the disdain in his voice as he spoke to me in an insulting and belittling manner made it apparent that he had NO intention of trying to fix anything. After listening to him insult me for a few minutes I asked for clarity if the plumbing for the sink and disposal are not related to the dishwasher and he continued explaining to me that he does not fix dishwashers. I again asked if the plumbing was not related and if he in fact was not a plumber, who I assumed specialized in PLUMBING, which made him raise his voice at me even louder. He then tried to call his manager from my kitchen to evidently complain about me, the paying customer who's dishwasher is still broken, I asked him to leave and will be filing a complaint against the plumbing company with the Better Business Bureau of San Francisco.

Professional, punctual, thorough and fair. These guys are GREAT, highly recommended!

Here's the story: I went down to the garage and HOLY CRAP there was toilet paper floating in water on the floor. I called in Mario from Precision Rooter, who snaked the line, but it was too late -- something was seriously wrong underground. Mario suggested I call Yehia at Alansi's to come by with his camera and see exactly what was happening where.

Their appointment manager Monica got me an appointment for the next day, even though they were pretty booked. You know that whole 2-hour-window thing, where you sit around for 3 hours and the guy still doesn't show? Not so with Alansi's. In fact, they put a note for Yehia to call when he was on his way, which he did, so I didn't have to leave work until it was time to.

Yehia got there, on time and super nice, and ran the camera through the pipes, recording it all on a DVD. He explained what we were looking for and found the problem -- a collapsed pipe and tree roots in the line. He recommended a couple options and gave me an estimate, and suggested I also call another company, just to get a second opinion. And he cleaned everything up before he left.

On top of it all, he didn't charge us at all because for some reason the DVD errored out and wouldn't burn. We're waiting for a second opinion but I'm pretty sure we'll be going with Alansi's.

I'm a first-time homeowner, so this is all new to me. I'm especially concerned about cost versus quality -- and to have a warranty.

So, I search yelp. I mean, how else will you know?

I initially contacted Joseph C Sand & had set up an appointment but they never showed. No further contact with them (see: yelp.com/biz/joseph-c-sa…)

Then, I again yelp plumbers. I was transfixed by the number of positive reviews for difficult jobs. I didn't think I had a difficult job, but I was still transfixed -- if they do that well with a complex job, then my stuff should be easy-peasy!

It was easy to contact Alansi's & got an appointment in a very reasonable amount of time -- 2 days for my non-emergency problem.

I got a confirmation call 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to confirm start time. Nice.

The doorbell rings & Mo walks in. He's a nice guy -- youngish. But it turns out he knew exactly what he was doing. He diagnosed the issue quickly. He ran out to get needed parts. He fixed it. He ran tests over and over again to make sure his fix was working. He charged me a reasonable amount of money and gave me a warranty on parts and labor.

Very Nice!

Next time I had a plumbing issue, of course I thought of Alansi's. Mo showed up again, installed the part and did a thorough test of the part. He provided information & acknowledged that he didn't know about he brand of fixture I bought but the parts he supplied and his workmanship was warrantied.

I also had the opportunity to ask questions about other issues that I might have in the future and get some guidance. This is nice & not always free!

I feel very secure in their work & professionalism. This review is way overdue! Apologies & thank you to Alansi's!

If I could give this guy 100 stars, I would! I woke up to a horrific scratching noise in the ventilation duct above my stove. PG&E told me I had to call a plumber - after a quick Yelp search, I called Alansi's.

Yehia was here in 30 minutes and it only took him 15 minutes to set the bird inside the duct free. (My useless cats were fascinated by the bird flying around the house, but didn't bother to try catching it - we had to shoo it out the balcony doors)

But the BEST part is - he DIDN'T CHARGE ME!!!!!!!!!! He said that since he technically didn't do anything, he couldn't invoice me. WOW! Ok, for SURE I'm calling this guy next time I need a plumber for anything at all. YOU SHOULD TOO!!!

What a great plumbing service!!!!!! Mauro came to my house after politely calling to see if he could arrive early (to which I said yes to). He showed up, took his shoes off before entering even though I told him he didn't have to. He showed me why my sink had been leaking in 5 million places, then went through the different options on how to make it stop leaking in 5 million places. When I told him that the landlady would be footing the bill and that I could therefore afford to have the fixture replaced, he gave me the option to come along to pick out the new fixture (in a very non-creepy way, I promise you).

Two car rides and a bit of work time later, I have a newly installed sink fixture that I picked out myself and that doesn't leak. At no point did I feel uncomfortable or like I was being shafted, and after talking to Mauro at length about a range of topics I can tell he is a great, honest, hardworking guy (if I were straight I'd also include adjectives such as sexy and Brazilian) who definitely deserves my and anyone's business . The company is lucky to have him.

IN SUM: great prices, great customer service, great service from a small, honest company that has wonderful Brazilian plumbers.

I started using Alansi's over 3 years ago and they are on my telephone speed dial at home. I have used them many times for different projects and have been 100% satisfied.
I have had all the Gang out to the house one time or the other. Moe is my go-to guy and Yehia is great on the phone and in person. . Very professional.

The last time Moe was out to fix a water leak created by my fridge ice maker. He found the problem and at my request, dismantled the water lines from the offending ice-maker, All to my complete satisfaction. I am pretty sure Moe also disposed of an ancient mouse carcass behind my fridge. Anyway, it's gone now. And nobody double checks their work like Moe. You get a warranty on their work as well. Bloody amazing !

For ALL jobs relating to Plumbing, disposals, etc. give Alansi's a call. In my humble opinion you will NOT be sorry. Great work at a fair price. That's their story.

You may think it's kinda crazy to get all fired up about plumbing service, but hey, when you find somebody who just kills it, you gotta give them props.
I called Yehia in the morning to see if he could come over sometime that week to help with a problem with our bathroom sink. He said he could come over that day. Nice, we're starting off great already. But it gets better. He comes over, takes a look at the problem, gives an estimate of the time he thinks it will take to finish. Then, over the course of a couple of hours, he does a totally thorough and professional job and fixes our plumbing problems. He was cool to talk to while he was working and he even seemed to be enjoying his job. Really.
If you got plumbing issues, why mess around? Just call Alansi's. Owner operated, quick service, reasonable rates, heck of a guy. What's not to like?

Two weeks ago my toilet was clogged and I called Alsani's Plumbing shortly after. They were able to come same day and even adjusted the time frame so I did not have to wait long. The plumber who came to fix my toilet was very professional and efficient. I hope that I will not have the same issue again, but if I do, its nice knowing a great company to rely on. I highly recommend them for plumbing!

Thank you yelpers, yet again.

We called Alansi's with two concerns: 1) poor water pressure and 2) garbage disposal not working.

Alansi's was able to narrow our disposal problems down to electrical concerns and make an referral to a great and reasonable electrician. He also showed us how to fix our water pressure problem ourselves ( it was an easy fix)

All of this for no charge!

The technician (Yehia) was polite, knowledgeable and awesome. We would definitely use Alansi's again - but hopefully we won't have too!

Had to call this folks again on a last minute emergency. Only opening they had was Monday (called on a Friday morning). Asked them to fit me in if they had a cancellation. half an hour later, i got a call back and was told that they could fit me in due to a job finishing early.
Serviceman came and did a great professional job (came on time as well).

Can't say enough good things about these folks. Not only do they accommodate you, but they do so with professionalism. They made good recommendations without being pushy.

Definitely my go to for plumbing purposes.

These guys are amazing! We recently had a couple of issues with our kitchen sink that didn't require immediate service, but made the sink unusable. One call, immediately answered, and we had a same day commitment with a two hour window. Not only did they show up on time, when they didn't have the replacement part, they committed to return at a particular time - and did! Work was excellent and at a great price. Overwhelmingly positive experience.

You have to use this company. They have been to my house at least 6 times over the last 7 years. I have an old house with tons of problems :) They are always great, always fix it. One of my toilets didn't sound right, I knew there was a problem. After a notice from the Water District that my usage and bill had gone up and confirming a leak test, I sought out a plumber.

Yelping away, I chose the one closest to home and with the highest rating - Alansi! I called them and the guy was so nice and friendly. He answered all my questions with patience, about what the possible problem was, how much it would cost me, and all other stupid questions I had. What could a girl such as me do after all. And I was glad they were able to fit me in the same week.

The guy who came was nice and tried to explain to me what was wrong. Turned out it was a simple thing. My flapper was leaking. He replaced that and showed me how things were working now.

Also, since it was a simple part replacement, he only charged me half of the labor cost plus parts, $57 total. He was also telling me that I can probably get a refund from my bill since there was a leak.

Overall, I'm a satisfied customer. Thanks Alansi!

Great customer service comes with a price. Not with this company. Not only do they respond right away and follow-up on your appointment, but they are first-rate efficient and knowledgeable, not to mention the fact that our guy, Yehia, was the coolest plumber I've ever met.

Yehia presents himself with a cool and confident demeanor, and you get a sense that your plumbing issues will be taken care of. He was very courteous and patient with our questions. He explained everything with great clarity and detail on what's wrong with our situation, and as to what he intended to do to solve the problem.

Yehia fixed our sink in no time, and as I was about to hand him the check for his services, I asked if I can include the tip with the payment. He said that he doesn't accept tips, and that for as long as the customer is very satisfied with his work, then he feels that he has done his job well and tipping was unecessesary. Coolness, indeed.

Prices for services are reasonable and warranty is included (got 2 months warranty for free). We will definitely recommend this company to our friends and relatives that's for sure!

It seems that a simple review containing the truth is too much for some. Fact is that two other plumbers were welcomed into my home and provided input, help and an estimate of the work. No fee required. One is completing the work as I type. Both provided estimates which cover many costs including time and expenses for bidding work won and lost. Why are you so special that you require payment just to bid on work? As a customer (as in I had work for a plumber to complete) I don't accept your practice and limited the review to that.

Your comments also seem to miss the point. You charge $55 because a local round trip could cost you $4 for gas instead of $2 a few years ago? Why would you get a taxi - you have a truck which would cost you about $0.60 per mile all in. Totaling about $9 for a 15 mile round trip. Why would the taxi ride be free? The cab driver provided the service in your example! If they had asked for a quoting fee to work out the trip cost before the journey then I would agree with you but they don't.

Lastly and maybe most important - why did you post a comment so openly that is aggressive in tone when you could have emailed me first or simply stated that you believe this practice is needed?

You seem a very angry person and not someone I would wish in my home. Air is free, please take a moment and enjoy it. Life may improve for you.

These guys are great. I called this morning to see if I could get them to come to my tennat's condo in Oakland to fix a toliet. The phone attendant gave me a 3 hour window in the afternoon 2-5 as to when they might show up. I thought, great, Comcast here we go. At 1:30P, I got a call from Mo letting mw know he was on the way....I was leary. It seemed to good to be true.

At 2PM, Moe showed up and we went up and showed him the problem. he quickly assesed the problem and went back down to his truck and got a long snake thing. He twisted it around in the can and pulled out the problem. He was quick , professional and very friendly! And he only changed me 85.00 to unplug the can. Other plummers I had called were asking 125.00 an hour...I will be calling Alansi's for all my plumbing issues!

Yehia came by today to fix an issue with the bathtub this time (damn 1940s plumbing!). He was friendly and courteous just like last time.

It's a wonder that good businesses like this are still around. Rather than taking in new customers at the expense of spreading themselves too thin, they choose to remain dedicated to their current clients by not accepting new ones. Who does that these days?

When a business is as conscious of their reputation as they are, possibly at the expense of profits, it really says something. In good faith for my previous review, he even hooked me up with a little discount.

And each star is worth $1,000+!

When my downstairs neighbor's ceiling started leaking, a flood of plumbers told us my shower pan would need to be replaced. An understandable assessment, given my pan was nonstandard and the pipe totally kluged (as in, shoved into the pan on an angle, without a proper drain). Of course: inspectors work for the government! Anyhoo, while I tried to muster up excitement of a whole new shower the price tag was fairly deflating (or inflationary, depending on your approach to money).

Mercifully my boyfriend inserted some common sense into the situation and exhorted me to consult another plumber because surely the leak - which hadn't emerged in the six years of me being there - could be sealed, right?

Alansi to the rescue! Maury came first and confidently assured us a seal would work. He also responded to my follow-up call about permits not needed for this kind of nonstructural work (duh, but alas fears had stoked my irrationality). When Mohammed and his friend came by for the actual job, they had to do some phone consulting with Maury (who was at that point on vacation) and managed to figure things out. It took them a while (including a few trips to the store) but no matter: they charged me for less time than they actually took, and it's been dry ever since. My neighbor's ceiling gets repaired tomorrow, at which point I will allow myself to truly exhale fully.

The net? After all those wacky redo your whole shower estimates ranging from $3K to $6K, I wound up spending a total of $225 with Alansi. These guys are resourceful, ethical (they even mailed me a copy of my credit card receipt the following week as I'd forgotten to get it from them!), and totally responsive (even today I called back with another super dumb question and they got back to me with answers - sadly a rare thing in the world of construction). I know I tend to rave about plumbers, but the only thing that tops these guys is how cool my downstairs neighbor is :)

The bad news... It's the Presidents Day Holiday and we had a major plumbing emergency with raw sewage backing up into the bath tub... An accumulation of yuck stunk up our bottom floor. The good news... Alansi's to the rescue!

Moe and Ivan came in to snake the main line, yet after over an hour of trying they couldn't break through the congestion. After trying several other ways to get at the blockage Moe called in for the high pressure water line, but it was not available until later. He promised a time he would return and cleaned up the mess on the sidewalk and bathroom.

The Alansi's crew return promptly in the afternoon and took the next two hours clearing the blockage from the roof vent, making sure the water could drain, and cleaning up the sewage mess.

Moe kept us informed of all the actions steps they were taking to address the sewage back up issue, and they were very courteous. They charge a more than fair price for the time and attention to detail they put in their work.

Job well done! We are every satisfied with the outcome and glad to give Alansi's our business in the future. Thanks!!!

I woke up this morning and found water pooling out of my drains in our garage. Of course I was completely freaked out. After making numerous calls to different plumbing companies, I came across Alansi's with a lot of recent Yelps. After talking to Yehia, he gave me a time frame of when they would be out. I received a courtesy call from Moe, letting me know that he was on the way. He was very nice and professional and knew how to take care of our problem. He was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He completed my repair, cleaned up the work area and charged me a fair price.

THIS WILL BE MY NEW ROOTER COMPANY. Thank you Moe! You are awesome!

Called yesterday to ask them to come look at the broken garbage disposal at the office. They gave me an appointment window of 10am-12pm today and no one ever showed up. Not a good first impression and very disappointing given the great reviews I'd read here that influenced me to call them first.

Saturday 7pm: Our bar sink downstairs was overflowing everytime the main kitchen sink upstairs was used.

Sunday mid-day: Called ARP for help

Sunday 4:15pm: Yehia from ARP comes to the rescue!

Sunday 5pm: No more water backing up. Water flows down the drain great!
Problem solved in less than an hour.

Yehia was on time and very professional. He was friendly and honest. We asked him about installing an incinerator for the sink downstairs. For someone who has only money in his mind, he would probably jump to the opportunity for business. Yehia explained to us that he can do it (depending on the drain size, etc), but in the long run, it won't really help because when discarded food hits the horizontal part of the pipe, it will start backing up again. He gave us a tip to decompose food instead of dumpin 'em in the drain. A good idea, in fact.

The service was awesome, and we tried tipping, but he wouldn't have it. A yelp review was suffice. He even gave us 10% off the hourly rate of $69 for a yelp review (good or bad). We ended up paying $62 and that includes a 2-month warranty. We are impressed. We'll call them again if we have any home plumbing issues in the future!

Our kitchen sink clogged, called Yehia, he sent Moe, came to fix the problem. He is another professional and super nice gentleman, everything done within an hour.
Because of his good work, we call him back again the following week to replace out kitchen faucet, and again, he did a fantastic job as alway. Guess what, i will call him back again to work on our gas oven problem...with no worries and knowing they will provide a great work again and again. This is a great company! 6 years ago they did all the construction plumbing for a new kitchen remodel. Recently over the last few years I've had them clear out a main drain pipe. There work has always been excellent and there plumbers, some who are related to the family that owns Alansi's, they are all very easy to communicate with and very polite. I always call them first and will continue to use them. I highly recommend .

Mauro the tech came the same day for estimate and work. I wanted a natural gas connection for an outside grill (less than half the cost of propane tanks). Job took a little over any hour, with tip was $200. The work was clean and professional.
They guarantee the work, also if they can't unclog your drain, their website says there is no charge. I'm not sure if I ever want to test that out though. Great company, quick same day service!

Yehia wouldn't take my tip and instead asked for a Yelp review. He was telling me that their company is relatively new and they wanna build up a good reputation - but he still seemed very knowledgeable and experienced. In hanging around while he was working he even told me a few things about the way the Doelger homes were built.

Anyways, he got out here on a moment's notice, mid-evening in Daly City. He wasn't late. The after hours price is significantly higher than their normal working hour rate, but that didn't seem unreasonable to me.

I had a clog somewhere in the main sewer drain (I was guessing, as the sewage backed up a little into my floor drain in my garage). Over the phone he asked me a question or two and estimated it would be about an hour job. After arriving, checking it out, and actually doing the work the actual time estimate did not change. The hourly rate, times one hour, was what I paid - nothing more.

Not that I enjoy looking at sewage, but I watched him work and he was very professional, even helping clean up the little splatters from the motorized snake (Yehia - one of those bicycle splash guards might help there...). He even washed the poop back down the drain for me. He probably figured I didn't want to clean that up - he was right :)

So in general, if you're looking for an honest plumber who knows what they're doing at a reasonable price - give these guys a try. I'll definitely give Yehia a call again if I need some plumbing help.

We needed a time-sensible sink fix on a new faucet and called . They called back right away, booked an appt, and within a couple of days our sink was fixed, plus a couple of other minor things they did for no extra cost. Would use again in a heartbeat.

Tried to schedule a time for them to come out, he said he would have to call me back. I have left two messages since this last conversation. I never heard back, this was over a week ago. They might be great plumbers, but the service was poor so I wouldn't know.

I second what other people say. Nice folks. Fast, professional, courteous, honest. Can't ask for more.
The situation: my hot water heater was broken. I know nothing about hot water heaters. Called when they opened Mon morning. Scheduler promised them 9 - 11 am, got a call from Yehia at 9:15, said he'd be there at 9:30, which he was. Saw the heater, knew what needed to be done, gave me a quote, I accepted, bam, boom, he got the heater, the appropriate other help needed, I didn't have to budge from the work I was doing the whole time, few hours later, the work was done, cleaner than I had left it, and I will be taking a hot shower soon, having just cleaned the dishes. In hot water! Which means something good this time.

Alansi's plumbing is fantastic! I don't know why it's taken me so long to write a review about them. They have been called out to my home 3 or 4 times and have fixed the problem, charged a fair price and have gone above and beyond.

The last time I needed their service Yehia came out to fix a leaky garbage disposal. He noticed that the contractor who worked on our kitchen had the pipes going upward out of the house rather than downward. He said that it would eventually cause us problems and urged me to get the contractor in to fix it. He said Any reputable General Contractor would fix it even if it's not under warranty. Then he told me a solution that could fix the problem. So, I called my contractor and he agreed to fix it using Yehia's suggestion. I am just so impressed that Yehia gave me the advice and guidance where he could have just left after fixing the initial problem.

We have called a few other plumbers before that have given us bad service and equipment and then charged us a lot for it! What a relief it is that we have found a reputable and reliable plumbing company that we will call for as long as we live in the area.

It was tough to find time for Yehia to come to our office, but he gave me his word and showed up--even calling to let me know he was 30 minutes out. The problem was tricky: he wasn't familiar with our unit. Because he loves challenges, he tackled it in two days for a cost that we both deemed fair for time, labor, and learning curve.

He's polite, professional, and loves a challenge.

YAY!

Okay, so traditional plumber stereo-types are: back crack, dirty, rough demeanor and personality, late and with high rates. (I'm sure a lot of this is unfair to the vast majority, however I've seen at least the first half in-person as a child, and I haven't tried many as an adult to know overall.)

My experience here: nicely dressed, not a suit of course, but could have easily been here to fix the computer, very polite and friendly, clean looking and careful not to let the wet hand auger drip on the floor after wards, only $85 on a Saturday night and that's with a 2 day warranty. My technician was Yehia who was nice enough to even briefly pet one of my very demanding cats as he wrote up my bill.

All in all before I called I was feeling panicked, stupid (for how I clogged it) and embarrassed - for the stupid part of it. After I called I felt re-assured and like it was totally normal (probably is for them). Plus the rate range was so beyond reasonable for even difficult issues, and I was sure mine was. I was wrong it was simple, for them at least I'd certainly had no luck with it. Back to the rest of my life now ;)

They were great. The guy arrived about 30 minutes after I called. Took care of the clog quickly. Clearly explained the entire process to me. I also had a backflow test done. I had forgotten the notice and they found a way to work with me on that. They also accommodated my schedule. Can't be happier. Thank you Alansi!

Engaged Alansi Plumbing for a moderately major project that took several days. The plumber they sent out was fairly inexperienced and I needed to watch him closely. For example at one point he wanted to use a reciprocating saw with an aggressive wood blade to remove a stubborn drain stop in a 100 year old porcelain clawfoot tub. Might as well use dynamite, the result will be the same: a destroyed tub.
But what was really weird and annoying is the owner refused to allow the plumber to caulk the shower surrounds saying something about that being a separate job. On a job that required several days of opening up walls, tearing out plaster ceilings, installing 6 cast iron closet bends, etc. the owner wouldn't let the plumber spend 5 minutes with a caulk gun; the least challenging aspect of the job. I understand that the owner wanted to make sure the work conformed to industry time standards, but this seemed weird and petty; after all I was paying by the hour.

Last night our kitchen sink was backed up likely due to a bad combination of buildup in the pipes over years, and an unwise amount of spaghetti finding its way into the garbage disposal.

After trying a few things, including enough Drano to unclog 5 drains, we decided to bite the bullet and call a plumber in the morning.

Yehia from Alansi's Rooter and Plumbing was a pro in coming to our aid.

1) I called in the morning to leave a message, and two minutes later, Yehia called me to talk about what we needed. That's as fast a response that we could hope for.

2) He informed me about the different rates for the weekend, and gave me an option to schedule for tomorrow unless it was urgent. I asked him to come in today, but would imagine I wouldn't have gotten the option from other plumbers.

3) He said he'd arrive between 9am and 11am, and actually arrived at 9:30am. This was refreshing because service windows, in my experience, tend to be 4 hours long and vendors are either late, or show up in the last minutes of the window.

4) Yehia was professional, courteous, and efficient, respectful our home (it had been raining, so he was careful not to track any dirt in), and we are satisfied with the experience. He completed the work in just under an hour.

-1 star because when we turned on the water in the sink, the water pressure (we thought) was very low. Yehia supposed that some debris could have found its way up to the faucet, and that he could come back at 1pm to check on it. At 12:30pm--30 minutes early--one of his partners, Mauro, came to take a look at the secondary issue, and promptly addressed it. It was a minor inconvenience because we had plans to get to, but we were prepared to stay home all day in the worst case scenario.

Overall, this was a very good experience, and we will use this company again should we have another misfortune--or lapse in judgement with regards to disposal capacities.

I had an issue with one of the toilets in my house and I needed to have someone look at it the same day. I called many plumbers in the morning and Alansi's was the only one that was available to do the work the same day! The plumber was over within 45 minutes and did his best to fix my problem. After about 2.5 hours everything was in working order. He explained everything he was doing as he was going and was very nice. His assistant was helpful as well although because of his limited knowledge of tools, the appointment ran a little long. Still a great service!

I found ARP on Yelp and needed some plumbing done due to low pressure. I called ARP, scheduled an appointment and Yehia showed up to see if he can fix the problem.
He takes a look at the problem, gives an estimate and if you approve it, then he starts the work. He was able to fix the low pressure and he is very knowledgeable. If you ever need any plumbing service, I suggest you call 'em up and give 'em a try!

On to the specifics:

Here's one thing no one particularly wants to do: call a plumber. It's a mysterious and expensive trade and who knows what lies beneath or is lurking around the various pipe joints....luckily Yelp exists and I consulted it and found Alansi.
Super cool and professional from the get go, he explained he could come out immediately (after 5PM) for a higher rate or if it could wait he'd be by first thing in the morning. I'm cheap so I opted for the latter.

Alansi himself swung by on time, fixed everything that was the matter in under an hour as predicted, and was a super friendly and all around likable guy. That last is sort of priceless...I bet you'd be hard pressed not to like this guy immediatly.
On top of that since I'm curious about such things, he explained the ins and outs of what he was doing (including why my 16.99 home depot snake didn't quite do it this time) and didn't mind chatting candidly the whole time.
When he was done, he cleaned up the ring around the tub and put everything back with care. Awesome guy, awesome job, I will be back (hopefully later rather than sooner, but eventually....)

Uh oh. My philosophy re yelp has been to go with #2, 3, or even 4 but not #1. Because #1 tends to not return calls or try very hard.

But I've used Alansi a couple of times and Mo is truly fantastic. He is the complete opposite of the stereotypical macho plumber with the butt crack showing. He is the sweetest guy, one who is polite, soft spoken and intelligently explains everything. He also is the most meticulously clean repairman ever. He takes his shoes off at the door and cleans up after himself so well you can't even tell he was in your home.

Had a great experience with Mo. He was professional, knowledgable and patient. Our garbage disposal broke last night, and after a quick phone call this morning, Mo came to our rescue at 3:30 pm. Mo took the time to explain our options - to repair the disposal vs. Replace it. He was not pushy for one option or the other, but very thoughtfully explained the pros and cons, the cost difference and left the decision up to me. He worked quickly and quietly (I have a newborn at home who was finally sleeping), and cleaned up impeccably. He also ran the disposal several times just to make sure it's working properly, and explained that they offer a 1 month warranty on the installation. Will definitely call Mo again if we need any pluming help!

Mauro came by once to fix a clogged kitchen drain after a morning of trying to do it myself with a snake I got from Home Depot. He brought in his motorized king-sized snake and got it done in 15 minutes. He also installed a bathroom faucet I was going to tackle but since he gave me a reasonable price and I knew he'd have it done in half the time, I let him take it.

Also tightened a loose connection on my water heater all for a good price. Had to call him back about the water heater and was ready to replace the pipe but he tightened it again and didn't charge me for the trip out. Hasn't leaked for two weeks now and everything he did is still working fine from our first call.

The came the same day as our call both times. Once on a weekday and once on a Saturday so I have definitely found my plumber guy! thanks yelp!

Excellent experience from the minute they picked up the phone. They were professional, prompt, honest and very competitive price wise (I compared 4). They didn't insist like others on visiting before giving me a general estimate and I found it convenient and not to mention - environmentally friendly! They were able to estimate based on my description- clogged pipes, speed of water draining etc.

When Yehia came over he was kind, smiley and accommodating (my house is shoe free zone)- he was also efficient and did a great job fixing the drains while keeping both bathrooms spotless when done.

This is a small family owned business that I am more than happy to support!

If I could give Alansi's more than five stars, I certainly would.
Prior to hiring Alansi's, we hired another plumber to come in and fix our shower. After he broke the valve to the shower at 5pm on a friday night he then proceeded to tell us he couldn't help us and literally left. With no running water in our home. It was sort of a nightmare to be honest. However, before said plumber left our home, he referred us to Alansi's.

I was a little skeptical to use a referral from someone who left us in this situation to begin with, but I am really glad we called Yehia at Alansi's. He came out and fixed our shower in no time. His original estimate was 4-6 hours worth of work, and he actually completed the new fixture install in 3!

In addition to the great timing, Yehia and his crew were very knowledgeable, super nice and really knew what they were doing, which was incredibly reassuring. Nicest people ever! Seriously. I will hire them again and again for all our plumbing needs.

Yehia has never even stepped foot in my home and I already love him!

My husband decided to drain the water heater today because the hot water was running slowly. Fast forward 3 hours - 3/4 of the faucets in my home have nothing coming out of them - not hot water and not cold water..

We checked Yelp and called Alansi plumbing because they had 5 stars. I spoke with Yehia on the phone (I should point out here that it was 8:30 at night when I first called). Yehia explained what he thought the problem was and told my husband step by step how to fix it!!!!

I have to say, I have had some bad plumber experiences in the past, but Yehia changes all that. He is awesome! We will DEFINITELY call him when we have a problem again - and hopefully next time we'll actually get to pay him!

9 months ago my water heater went out. Mo came out to replace it. He is really invested in the quality of his work. He addressed several other issues on his time. The pricing was reasonable and their work made it well worth it.

Today my sewer line backed up because of roots, so they were the first people I called. Dante came by and was super nice and did a great job. The pricing ended up being *far* cheaper than the last time I had to take care of this.

Sorry for not reviewing Alansi's sooner. I can't recommend them more. They saved the day twice!

So amazing!! I called on a late Monday afternoon and Alansi had a plumber at our house in less then an hour. We were dealing with an issue we had had a few years ago with not just a clogged toilet but the main pipe out of our house. The plumber did not just run a snake and call it good, he asked for the main clean out for the house and that is how we discovered the root to our problem - a two inch nail running through the pipe! Thank you so much Alansi for finding and fixing this problem.

The lady who answered the phone is incredibly helpful and nice. She gave me a referral since they were not available immediately. However, I trust their service more and waited for their availability. Mo came out and replaced the house on our kitchen faucet. Works great now. Oh no...we woke up to a sewage smell and filthy water on the basement floor. Ok, no panic...checked Yelp on the computer and called the most highly rated sewer repair firm for help. The plumber came, power-snaked the sewage line, and got blocked twice. He said it was most likely broken and recommended that the line be replaced with a starting price of $5,500. Fortunately I called Alansi's Plumbing for a second opinion. They were the right people to call! Alansi's youngest brother (call him Moe) showed up quickly, asked some questions, checked the layout of the waste pipes to the sewer line and ran a couple of tests. Then he carefully snaked the line and cleared it all the way through. What really was impressive to me was the way he thought through the facts before reaching for his tools. He even washed down the basement floor with a hose before he left and the smell went away. The price of this first class service?...a standard service call charge. Cheerful, friendly and honest, the Alansi brothers will get the first call from me from now on.

This company, and Yehia in particular, have restored our faith in honest, good businesses. We had a leaky water heater pressure release valve and after calling several plumbers we found on yelp (many of whom are closed on weekends), we were without hope of getting it fixed (and wasting gallons a day). We should have started at the top of the list on Yelp and called Alansi's first. We called and Yehia was able to accurately pinpoint the problem during the call and told my hubby how to fix it himself so there's no charge! Hubby fixed it but still leaks only a little now so when it is time to get it professionally done (Yehia also quoted us a fair price) there is no doubt that we will use Alansi's! These guys have helped me out on several occasions when drains in my old house got clogged. Including an emergency overflow on Thanksgiving day that blocked up every drain in the house. great service very patient, solving the problem, and very reasonable prices.
They show up same day few hours after I called (they told me on the phone when they will be here), gave us the price for the first hour and for additional time. It took a little over an hour and they only charged for one hour.
The employee explained everything while he worked and was very nice. In the past I had some bad plumbers from another place that took more than twice as much for the same time. I will only call Alansi's from now on with any plumbing issues.

We were highly pleased with the work we received through Alansi's Plumbing. Our plumber, Darryl, was very patient with my inability to explain the situation well over the phone, was very flexible about making an appointment that same week and showed up on the early side of the window he gave me. According to my wife who was home at the time of his visit, Darryl was very considerate and worked efficiently yet thoroughly to fix the problem with our bathroom sink. Even better, he stayed to fix another sink-related concern. All in all, he was knowledgeable and charged a very fair price. We will call Alansi's Plumbing for future repairs and would recommend their company to anyone!

I suspected a leak since I discovered wall molding was wet. Moe, Alansi Plumbing, came right away and found where the leak came from after thorough investigation. He went beyond what any plumber would do by crawling inside a narrow duct space to find the leak and stop it. He did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. Alansi is reasonably priced. I highly recommend, Moe.

After having other plumbers in the past, Josh did double the work in half the time. He was timely, honest and knowledgeable. When I tried to set up another appointment for preventative maintenance he referred me to his boss, Jehea (excuse the mispelling). Jehea gave me honest advice and said it was not necessary for my particular home. You can't beat honest people who actually know what they are doing! I highly recommend Alansi's and would definitely use them again. Did I mention that they were able to get someone out within an hour of my call?

We had our sewer line back up and ARP came right out and had it cleared within a hour. They were timely and did not charge the ridiculous rates that some of the other big name companies try and charge.

There was a water leak from the kitchen sink drain into the lower level of the house, into the garage and just behind an elevated closet that contains the hot water heater and furnace. The pipes are all enclosed in the ceilings, walls and floors...none are exposed for easy repair.

I got several estimates for the job, ranging from about $500 to $6,000, and with different ways of tackling the problem, including cutting though the back of the house in order to create a bypass (outdoors)from the kitchen drain to the main drain. Estimates ranged from 4 hours to 2 weeks. The 2 week estimate also would have included disconnecting the hot water heater and the furnace...thus no hot water or heat for 2 weeks in the middle of our relatively-cold and very rainy winter.

Yehia from Alansi's Plumbing, who gave the lowest estimate, and who made the most sense about how to tackle the problem, is the guy I hired.

He removed the drywall ceiling in the closet (which took about 2 minutes) that holds the hot water heater and furnace. And, voila, you could see the leak when the water was running, in the fitting between the vertical pipe from the kitchen sink and the horizontal pipe as it goes across to the laundry area. (The fitting was all rusty and worn).

He had to remove the hot water heater, then reattach it afterwards, in order to reach in and cut through the pipes and attach a new fitting. It took quite awhile for he and his crew to cut through the vertical pipe from the kitchen, which was set back in a hard to reach area.

He did minimal damage, and all of it was in inconspicuous areas.

He and his assistants got the whole thing done in just short of 4 hours, an hour of which was spent trying to cut through that hard-to-reach vertical pipe..

Total cost: $540. One of the prior plumbers (Mr. Rooter) wanted $500 just to cut through the side of the water heater/furnace closet (which was solid wood), just to be able to see where the problem was and then give an estimate! Mr. Rooter also said that removing the water heater would take half of a day, whereas Yehia and his crew had it removed in 30 minutes.

I found Yehia initially by calling one of the highly recommended plumbers on Yelp.com, who told me that he didn't do work of that difficulty, but he knew someone who can: Yehia. Yehia initially didn't show up on a Yelp search, because he's based in Daly City, not San Francisco proper.

When I found his Yelp reviews, they were stellar, so I called him to get an estimate. Now that he's completed the job so fast and efficiently, with minimal collateral damage, I can see why people raved about him.

I'm thrilled that the problem is finally fixed and that it required no external cutting into the back of the house, especially with all of the rain we've been getting.

I highly recommend Yehia and his guys.

The water in our tub wasn't going down at all...didn't look good. Called these guys and got an appointment the next morning. Steve came the next morning and did an awesome job. It wasn't looking good at first and he had to use all the tricks in his toolbox but he got everything working and on track in under an hour!!! We've used Alansi's on several occasions. They are responsive and thorough. They have snaked our drains, power jetted roots out from our condominium's shared line, replaced faucets and toilets, replaced a water heater control, clean out a water heater, and diagnosed leaks. We find them to be honest in all transactions - what they say they will charge is what they charge. Their prices are reasonable and they provide visibility to pricing for parts. They show up on time and have been quick to respond during an emergency. Moe is great!

Successfully fixed our garbage disposal for several hours, before it rejammed with some other thing they must have missed while fixing it.

Instead of warrantying their work, they just told us that we must have broken it again and refused to come back.

Work was not thorough and they still have not come back to fix it. However, they were nice over the phone in explaining that they tried to charge us less money by only staying for 15 minutes ... so that's why I give 2 stars not 1. Maybe if they'd spent more of the 15 minutes investigating the problem rather than showing us that they'd partially fixed it, there would be no issue.

I had a slow running shower drain and leaking pipe outside the house. Adrian evaluated the situation while running the shower and explained that the drain was flowing slow enough to back up into the breather pipe, causing the external leak.

He proposed rootering the drain and said he was 95% sure it would take care of the problem. In the future, when other work was being done, we could fix the breather pipe.

Problem solved at a fraction of the cost I had anticipated!

I next asked Adrian if they could clean and run a camera through my drains from the back yard to the front. (We bought this house a few months ago and I am concerned, during the rainy season, the back yard could flood through the bottom floor of the house and garage if the drains are not working properly.) He said they can scope the drain system, record it on a DVD and point out the areas to watch.

I scheduled the drain cleaning the next day.

Kitchen drain was clogged and phoned for an appointment. Dante arrived within 2 hours at the beginning of the promised time period and fixed the problem within an hour. Amazing! I called yesterday as I had a leak in my kitchen sink and they sent someone over by 3pm today. The timing is critical to the review as it was Friday of the World Series in San Fran and I live in soma ... They still came regardless of the traffic. Wow.

The serviceman was Josh and he was fabulous! Very professional and thorough and explained things as he went through. He identified the problem quickly and had it fixed at just the same pace. I would recommend them for sure!

First, let me clarify my one star by saying they didn't do any work for me. The reason for the low rating and warning is that you cannot book an appointment in advance.

This is their new business model as of two weeks ago. I had a leaky sink and when I called they were able to come over that day but I was at work and asked if they could come the next day. They said, no I would need to call back the next day. How silly so I found another plumber.

So if you have an emergency plumbing problem or very flexible schedule, Alansi would probably be a good bet given their high ratings when they actually do the work.

I just want to say that Alansi probably does great work 99% of the time and they do have a great receptionist who's willing to work with you. I really don't know if my situation was unique and a one off. However, from my personal experience with them, I will say this... Don't expect anything from them if you want a company who values their customers and wants to go above and beyond. They will most likely not try to work with you when you're in a real bind, especially if you don't have an appointment set up before hand. And a 60 day guarantee really mean 60 days.

I had a very good experience with Alansi's plumbing. I am a first time homeowner and ran into the issue of a leaky sink that was causing my kitchen to partially flood.

I called Alansi's and they came in and gave me an honest opinion that ultimately ended with me replacing my faucet. They told me exactly where to go to get the best price on a new faucet, and provided some recommendations for which brands they think are best, and have the best warranty.

They also waived the cost of an estimate since I ended up asking them to install the new faucet, which was great. I highly recommend to anyone in need of plumbing and rooter services.

My first experience with Alansi was GREAT ... they really make the extra effort to make their customers happy.

GREAT PEOPLE and GREAT WORK.

Yehia spent quality time speaking with me over the phone when I was trying to explain my situation prior to scheduling for an estimate. He gave me ALL the possibilities of what might be going on; which tells me he has experience in dealing with strange plumbing problems. This was my first time dealing with any sort of plumbing.

My unit is on the ground flr.
Yehia came out at the scheduled time and snaked my kitchen sink, we heard the snake hitting the kitchen subfloors on the opposite side of the room, we test the sink water and noticed there was water leaks in the back yard, tried several other methods; last resort was to cut open the subfloor to see why the snake didn't do its job. When we opened the floor, A WHOLE NEW PROBLEM, we found standing water. His colleague, Mauro, put his hand into the nasty water and found the clog; then Yehia finished his job by unclogging the drain and made sure water flowed through there. Then Mauro placed a call immediately and referred me to another company to deal with the other problem that we found.

They're very polite and very clean, brings their own mats and towels to clean any mess they made ... so they left my place cleaner than I left it.

This was about two months ago. My hubby and I was just settling into our new home and my ever-so-tentative husband had noticed a leaking pipe in the garage near some wires one morning. Ahhhh! Yeah, it was very scary. First I called my boss and informed him of that problem and that I would be late to work. Next, Yelped a neighborhood plumber and Alansi's reviews stood out. Made a call and spoke to Yehia and had him come out to see what the problem was and get a good estimate for the job.
Yehia came out the same day and since he is around neighborhood; I address other issues of concern. Well it was not only the leaky pipe problem but also the problem with the toilets, I wanted the two toilet switched around in the two bathrooms (that used to bothered me for quite some time) and also the failing kitchen sink pipes. Got chatting with him and found out that the whole plumbing job would talk 3-4 hours estimate. He had displayed professionalism and plenty of knowledge about his field, so I've decided to hire him on the spot and didn't even bother comparing rates.
On the day he was schedule to come, he did everything in about 3 hours and we are now very happy with the results. Everything was working great and I now have my little toilet to my tiny bathroom and my big toilet in my bigger bathroom. Kitchen sink pipe no longer leaks and the garage pipe taken care of.
Yehia's work comes with guarantee for parts and labor which was also my deciding factor. I don't know if I paid too much or too little for the work, I just know that we are happy to have problems fixed and finally have professional work done in our house. I wanted to write the review because he is very deserving of it. Yehia was also very friendly and fast worker. Yehia is my new favorite plumber and I would recommend him to anyone. I wish him much success and keep up the good work.

Adrian came to tighten a handful of fixtures that were loose upon move-in. I called on a Tuesday and was able to make an appointment for the following day! I made my appointment with a woman named Monica who noted the household issue(s) and passed the information on to the plumber (Adrian). I was provided a 2-hour time of arrival window (12p-2), so imagine my happy surprise when Alansi's called at 12:05p reporting the plumber was about 15minutes away!

Adrian was spectacular. Truly topnotch service, very professional, and took care of everything I needed cared for. He had the note from Monica and asked me to show him all the trouble spots so he could assess the scope of the project. He was up front about the cost ($125/hr) and said the job would take about 1.5hrs, which was reasonable given the assignment. Once finished, Adrian showed me the work he completed to ensure my satisfaction and pleasantly explained how he fixed each fixture when I asked. He was actually here longer than the estimated 1.5hrs as he waited to test the airgap and discharge hose which required running (and then draining) the dishwasher. However, he wrote up the receipt for 1.5hrs of work, I then wrote him a check, and he was off to the next appointment. There is a 30day warranty, so if any of the work done comes lose again or starts to leak Alansi's will come back out to re-fix at no extra charge. Now that's what I call service and a service I won't hesitate to call again or make referrals to for future plumbing troubles.

We hired Alansi's to add new plumbing to our bathroom and kitchen in our condominium. Yehia and crew handled all the HOA idiosyncrasies with professionalism and grace. We just passed our plumbing inspections with flying colors.

While it may seem silly to add yet another 5 star review to a business as good as this one, we wanted to add our voice. Alansi is part of a dying breed of craftsmen who truly care about the work they do: on time, exquisitely detail oriented, calm under pressure, clean up after themselves, work carefully but expediently. They are true professionals.

Unlike almost all of the other plumbers that advertise themselves as 24/7 plumbers, only Alansi's actually picked up the phone on a Sunday afternoon, instead of promising to call me back. I had a drain backing up in a lower floor and wanted someone quickly. They had a plumber who was in the area and able to be at my house within 30 minutes. Dante was terrific, helpful, knowledgeable and was able to address all of the issues. I know there are a number of ways to solve these problems and he was knowledgeable about the complexities of subterranean plumbing and prevented any damage from occurring in my home. I am so grateful.

I am of the opinion that it's good to know a good plumber. Before Alansi's, I couldn't really say that I knew one. Here are the events that led up to this conclusion:

In the evening on December 2nd, I discovered that our water heater was leaking. From the looks of it, the water heater needed to be replaced but I recalled that I had the water heater replaced recently (about 5 years ago) and that I had sprung for a heater with a 12 year warranty. Since it was late at night, I decided to stay home from work the next day and take care of it in the morning.

The morning of December 3rd, I started looking at reviews on Yelp! for different plumbers. I actually didn't come across Alansi's directly. I had called another plumber who told me that they didn't do water heaters but he could refer me to someone who does. He gave me Yehia's cell phone number and I called him. I called Yehia and got a quote over the phone. I told him that I would have to call around some more and get some more quotes and he was totally fine with it.

During the process of calling other plumbers and water heater installers, I found out that my heater was still under warranty from GE. One guy told me that GE was very hard to deal with in terms of trying to get them to replace/fix heaters under warranty. Since my family really needed hot water, I was prepared to just replace the water heater and not claim the warranty from GE.

Alansi's turned out to have the most reasonable price so I called Yehia again and sheduled for him to come out. He told me he couldn't get here till 2:00pm because he was on another job.

At 2:00pm, Yehia arrived. I told him the situation and told him that the old water heater was still under warranty but because I really wanted to have hot water by the end of the day, I was willing to just pay for a new water heater and not bother with the warranty. He actually recommended that I take advantage of the warranty because it would save me a lot of money. Right then and there, he called GE for me and got them to authorize a straight exchange. GE told him to bring the old water heater to the local Home Depot and get a brand new one to put in. Yehia then called Mauro (one of his employees) and asked him to come take the water heater to Home Depot and replace it for me.

Anyway, to make a long story short, Mauro arrived, took out the old water heater, drove it to Home Depot and came back with a brand new water heater and installed it. I had hot water by the end of the day and I didn't have to pay as much as I thought I had to.

Yehia went above and beyond. He very well could've just sold me a brand new water heater but he went through the trouble of calling GE for me.

Needless to say, I will be calling Alansi's again for any other plumbing work that I need done.

We had a leak in our water heater last night and called Alansi's the next A.M. @7; I left a msg and got a call back within 1/2 hour! By 10 am, Mohamed was here with a new water heater; Now that is customer service! If you need your water heater replaced, call on Alansi's. Prices are very reasonable! Believe me, I've researched the model# of the water heater they've installed and it is one of the better models. Thanks again Alansi! I've told my co-workers, family and friends about you.

While the inability to schedule appointments in advance (i.e., not day of) is not convenient for those of us with jobs, the plumber called before arrival, arrived when he said he would (and at the beginning of the 2-hour window given), and performed the necessary repair quickly, all the while answering my questions. He had the exact replacement part, coincidentally, we needed to fix my disposal, so that saved me the cost of replacing the entire unit (supposedly, the replacement part can't be purchased on its own); he didn't even charge me for the part. He also didn't charge me the full 1-hour minimum (It took 26 minutes.).

A few reasons why I didn't rate them higher:
1. Lack of advance appointments is a real issue. What if I took a day off and they couldn't stop by that day?
2. The plumber put his supplies and waste bucket on my kitchen counter (big germaphobic pet peeve, as I don't know where it's been and that surface sees food) and didn't wash his hands after handling my toilet (yeah, I clean it, but I don't consider it clean) to write up the invoice.
3. I rarely rate anything perfectly.

If I have future need of a plumber, I'll call Alansi's first.

Got a panicked call from my downstairs neighbor this morning that my fridge was leaking into his ceiling. Had a clogged up toilet, w/ the clog somewhere down the line. I asked if they could come out the next day, and Dante came out the next day on time. Dante did Excellent work, very nice guy; he looked and found an access pipe in the bathroom floor that we did not see. He took about 10 min trying to unscrew it with a wrench, screwdriver and hammer, as it was very tight. But he was able to do it, and snaked out the line and got the clog out. He cleaned up everything very well with a wet/dry vac and towel, and put all the furnishings back. Originally I was told over the phone $115 if the clog was within the toilet, & $165-265 if further down the line, as they may have had to remove the toilet. I was charged $165, a fair price. Took~1-1.5 hr; Takes Credit Cards AmEx. Awesome, will use again!

The actual work that they did was totally fine. Scheduling was the issue on their end. We booked for someone to come out between 8 and 10 AM and at 10:15 I called to see what was going on b/c nobody had come. There was never an apology and they scheduled for someone to come out during another window later in the afternoon. Everything worked out fine (they removed a leaky faucet and installed a new one for $185 not including the new faucet cost) but would have been 4 or even 5 stars had they been warmer and more apologetic on the phone about their scheduling issue.

After positing my Yelp review they called me and were extremely apologetic and are mailing me a check for a 25% discount which they said was their normal policy whenever there was a scheduling issue. This is really great customer service and based on how they handled this I would highly recommend them.

Yehia is the man! I manage a quite large building in the city and called Alansi's based on the good reviews on Yelp. I was shocked and amazed that a.) he fixed my leaky pipe rather quickly and even got my ancient dishwasher working. I just called him again to fix my toilet and he once again saved the day. I'm so happy with the service we received from start to finish. When I called to make the get an estimate, Monica was very professional and Yehia called me back very quickly with an estimate of time and cost. He was on time to the appointment, again very professional, and true to his word on the cost and time. He even found a leak on the outside of the home that was causing my water bill to go up, sent photos to my mobile phone, and came back very quickly to fix it after talking to me. Alansi's worked with my Home Owners association to quickly pay for the invoice so that I didn't have to cough up the money up front and try and get reimbursed later. When I tried to give a tip, Yehia wouldn't take a dime and was happy that we were pleased with the service. Again...AWESOME from start to finish!

My HOA was so happy with the work they added Alansi's as their preferred Plumbing company on their Vendor list and that was after one visit.

It was just a simple toilet clog, but it had defeated my plunger.

Mo came over on time, calling 15 minutes before he got there, just to check in.
He took his shoes off outside my door, without my asking.
He fixed the clog in just a few minutes, then told me that I could buy the tool he was using for $40-50 at Home Depot. He made sure to clean up after himself, poured an extra 5 gallons of water down the toilet just to make sure, checked for any scratches he might have made, and explained that, given the age of the toilet, we should expect more clogs coming up.

He was professional, polite, friendly, competent, and had change on him.

I had made a call right at 8am, expecting to get someone peppy and excited to help me out with my slow drain problem. Instead, I was answered by a automated machine asking for me to leave a message.... *sigh*

I receive a call from a peppy person saying sorry that they hadn't been at the phone and that theyre happy to serve me. I'm thinking, YES, USING YELP IS AWETHUMB! I tell her of my drain troubles and she gives me an option of SAME DAY SERVICE! And better yet, in a small 2 hour window! I'm so used to people giving me a 8 hour window of service, but the lady over the phone was concise and true to her word.

Moe came to my door, and without me asking, removed his shoes, as a courtesy to me and my home. HOLY CRAP! A cool guy that respects his customers home?! HELL YES! Well I told him what my problem was and he was quick to examine the problem area and give me an estimate. Moe was friendly and showed me everything that he was doing and assured me it was all SAFE for the plumbing of my house. well Moe, you get 100+ gold stars man, you were a great help to me and my room mates, and just good guy all around.

This is an honest to goodness awesome company. You know that neighborhood bakery that everyone loves because the people are awesome and the service is great, this can be said about this plumbing company. Thanks Moe and Alansi's crew!

This is another rave review for Alansi's Plumbing.

I awoke to a water main leak. After checking Yelp I called them. They were out within an hour, had the water shut off by the city and called in for an estimate. They were out the next morning and I had water by that night. Quick, efficient and pleasant to work with.

Now for some of the details. My pipes are 70+ years old and galvanized. Repairs meant cutting out concrete, digging, replacing pipe and a spigot. Permits were required. On top of the permit costs Daly City can charge an $850 encroachment fee. They explained I was a disabled senior and convinced the city to wave that fee.

After the estimate I requested they replace the 3/4 pipe with 1 inch. They did so at no additional cost. They had a long work day. Working with older pipes can cause additional problems and my job was no exception. Pipe further into the basement started to leak and they replaced it an no additional cost. What exceptional service!

So now the plumbing is done and the hole in the sidewalk is carefully blocked to pedestrians. The city took about a week to inspect. Plumbing passes and Alansi comes back to filled in the hole and await the soil inspection. Next is the concrete work and yet another wait for that inspecition.

After the permits were signed off and the site thoroughly cleaned I was presented with a bill. Not a penny over estimate. What a relieve ... and great respect for a company with such integrity and efficiency.

Do not hesitate to call them for any plumbing issues. You will be pleasantly surprised by the friendly, respectful manner you are treated and the great job they produce.

I called on a Saturday morning and two very nice men, Steve and Mohammed, were at my door within a few hours, having called to confirm. Very knowledgeable, they fixed both a clogged sink and slow-flushing toilet within an hour. Needed parts were very inexpensive. More expensive repair/replacement options were explained but zero pressure to go one way or the other. I especially liked that you pay by the hour and whatever they can accomplish in that time goes for that rate -- very fair. They even politely refused a tip! I would highly recommend this company.

Based on Yelp reviews, I scheduled for Alansi's to come out to my home in Marin to check on potentially clogged drain and rain gutter pipes, and to clear any clogs found which I believed were present. Mauro came right on time and immediately began his inspection, very patiently explaining to me and answering my questions as I tagged along. He checked everything I asked, and even got down in the crawlspace to inspect under the house. He concluded that there were no clogs, that everything was working just fine. Even when I questioned this and gave him an excellent opening to go to work with the rooter, he said no and showed me that everything was flowing freely.

So I asked what I owed him, and he said Nothing, I didn't do anything. I said well you came all the way over here to Marin, but he just said call me next time you need a plumber. Well, you can bet your life that that's exactly what I am going to do.

Alansi's Rooter & Plumbing is AWESOME! They do such a great job when they come here. Yehia showed up with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a bright smile, ready to tackle the problem. He remembered working on a different issue at my house a few years ago.

Yehia found the source of the leakage and got to work right away. He fixed the damage with efficiency and thoroughness. Now I don't have to worry about my ceiling falling through. Woohoo!

When we discussed the pricing, Yehia was very fair on both the labor and the parts. He even put up with our bad jokes. Thanks Yehia! You rock!

HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION AND INACCURATE QUOTES. Called intitially and recieved a quote for replacing a toilet. Quote received was the total for a new toilet and labor. I confirmed on this phone call that this defintely included the labor and the cost of the new toilet. Spoke to them again and they confimed the same cost. It came time schedule the appointment and they cancelled last second with my tenant saying that they needed to confirm costs with me and tried to reach out to me. I never received a voicemail from them. Spoke to them after hearing from my tenant and they confirmed the original price and said they would be in touch with my tenant to reschedule. Gave tenant heads up. At that time, they called back and said that the price had now doubled and that the original quote was just for labor and the toilet would be extra. Going elsewhere due to horrible communication on costs and setting up appoinments.

Dante was timely and courteous. The insink garbage disposer was broken - it was an old one with weird dimensions, which required some extra work to get the pipes adjusted and fit a new model. He did an excellent job - left no mess behind . I would definitely call them again

Alansi's guys are great!!! We had water leakage in our garage the other day after those heavy rain. I called Alansi's in the morning, and a service guy was here in an hour, and fix the problem within 30 min... A few days after that, we needed our backflow preventer tested. Technician, Yehia, showed up right on time, tested all backflow preventers and out the door in an hour or so. These guys are always professional, and very reasonable price. I highly recommend these guys for any pluming work.
Today, I will call these guys for our water heater repair.

Fantastic.

Have worked with them twice, and both times they did a terrific job and I saved a lot of money!

The first was when they replaced the mixer in my shower. The price was far lower than either me or my landlord expected. I tried to tip them afterward but they declined, saying that no, it's not about the money, they just want to do a great job. How often do you hear that! The shower works great now, by the way.

The second time was when I called them about my garbage disposal. They talked me through step by step on the phone how to fix the problem, until it was working again. Didn't charge me a thing! I was amazed because they easily could have come out to my apartment, fixed the problem and charged me an hour's labor.

My hair falls out a lot. Especially in the shower. I don't know why...it just does and it's annoying. So i guess finally our tub got sick of it and clogged the drain to the point of no return! That's when we turned to Yelp to find a reliable plumber with great reviews. Alansi's is truly the best!!! He took one look at it and said it's gonna cost $85 with a 2 month warranty. Sweet! I was so afraid it was gonna cost over $500. Yehia was friendly and gave me some tips to avoid it from happening again. His job was done in like 30 minutes too! Five stars all the way and I will definitely call him again.....if it happens again.....hopefully not!

Mohammed with his associate showed up on time, and even called 15 minutes prior to arriving to let me know that they were coming. Both were very professional, patient and answered all of my questions when repairing leaky faucet. I can't think of anything else that they can do to improve their service. Their hourly rate may seem pricey, but you get what you pay for - they work fast and get the job done properly the first time. Highly recommended!

Yay Alansi! Ian was so nice and was really open to discussing my options for moving the plumbing during my shower retiling project. He was quick and the process was painless.

Only annoyance was when I originally called, they require a fee to do an estimate. I ended up just going ahead and booking them without an estimate due to my time crunch. Normally I wouldn't have and that would have caused me to go with someone else. It all worked out, but I thought that was lame.

While I was on vacation and had a friend house/dog sitting and a few days into the trip he lets me know the drains were all clogged and everything was backing up into the shower. I live over on Potrero Hill and decided to check out the plumbers on Yelp that were close to my home. When asked about the cost he was very clear about the potential costs so I would have a general idea and not have any surprises. A true pro named Mauro came on time and within a few minutes had the main drain cut free of the yearly root issue due to trees out front. In the past the plumbers just use the snake as is but I noticed Mauro actually put on a protective shield / barrier around the snake -- very good move! He was done quickly BUT stayed an additional amount of time to run the snake all the way down to the street a few times to ensure a complete cleaning. The price was GREAT and due to that will call now for maintenance on a regular basis. Obrigado !!

After Moe's visit I called all my friends and told them, never hire another plumber ever. He was on time, knowledgeable, efficient and I did not feel gouged as I usually do after plumber was done. This is a great business that is professional and provides top-notch customer service. I used Alansi's a few years ago for a couple major projects in my condo. I was very happy with their work then so I didn't hesitate to call them up again over an issue I was having with a bathroom faucet. The guy on the phone asked me what the issue was and after hearing me describe it, he diagnosed the problem on the spot and told me how to fix it. Done! Best plumbing service. I had a clog/drainage problem from my kitchen sink to my garage sink. I called 9A.M. and someone came 4P.M. same day. Moe came and introduced himself, listened to my situation and assessed the problem. Moe used a small snake machine and went to a bigger model thereafter to clear the pipes. Problem solved. Moe was very polite and informative when I had asked specific questions. He cleaned and gathered his equipment and wrote up my invoice. The whole process was easy and not a headache as I had envisioned. Advice: Don't waste your time calling other plumbers.

Called Alansi's to check for possible solar panel (OLD) leak. Adrian came by house same day at promised time, did whatever it took to get on roof to check solar. Once up on roof, found leak, took pictures, and reviewed with me my options. Shut off solar system from garage to stop leak, wrote down work order, what needs to be done, and cost, and said to call if I want to get solar back up and running. I am very thankful to Alansi's, and most especially to Adrian for his perseverance and patience. He is a very pleasant person. Will definitely call them for any plumbing problem, and recommend to family and friends. Thank you Alansi's, and only $65 just to come to house and check.

I had an intermittent problem where water would spew out of the washing machine standpipe, onto the floor, during the spin cycle. I called Alansi's because of all the great reviews. Yehia came out and he diagnosed the problem immediately! He snaked both the standpipe and the clean-out pipe and found tree roots! Now I can do laundry without worrying about water leaking onto the floor!

I have reviewed this company favorably in the past and just had the opportunity to again need their services, I would like to once again say what excellent service they provide.
The sewer system backed up a couple of days ago on a Sunday and I called at 12:30 and by 1:45 pm Adrian was at my place and within the hour everything was cleared and running smoothly.
As was with my previous experience, these people are so easy to deal with. Also the rate for a Sunday call to drain the swear cost me the same as a week day.

We just shook hands with Steve and sent him off after fixing our sewer issue. Turns out, disposable wipes, pumpkin, and beer bottle labels shouldn't go down the drain (hear that honey?!). For the last few weeks, we'd been hearing gurgling noises from the sink in our in-law apartment. This afternoon, we noticed about an inch worth of water standing inside the dishwasher. Then, when we tried to use the toilet in the in-law, we noticed it had backed up (as did the shower) and now wouldn't flush. I called Alansi's based on all of the positive reviews. Steve was here within the hour (I called at 3:30 PM on a Friday), assessed the situation, and tackled the problem out on the sidewalk. What came out of the drain definitely had no business being there. Steve took care of the problem quickly using a few methods, cleaned up after himself, and was done in just about an hour. And, pricing was very reasonable at $165. Sure, we could have called the City and had them send someone out but I was hoping we'd be able to use the bathroom before next week! I will definitely keep Alansi's on our list for home repair companies.

Yehia, Mo, and Mauro have worked on difficult code compliance repairs that were very difficult to solve and involved redesigning the plumbing on a three floor house, interior and exterior. Yehia is a combo of engineer, architect, scientist and most importantly,psychologist - which is very important when dealing with SF DBI.

Clogged toilet. Spent hours using a plunger, going to the hardware store for an auger, and trying to snake the toilet myself. Called 3-4 plumbers with 5-star Yelp reviews. Alansi's called back quickly, set up an appointment for a few hours later, and then was able to come even sooner after calling to see if I was available. Steve was fast, funny, and gave me tips on how to snake the toilet more successfully next time. 5 minutes and the toilet was back in business. 90 bucks well spent. Highly recommend.

On May 15, 2013, Adrian came on time to fix the leaking in the garage coming from the toilet upstairs. He did checked it and we decided to have him changed the wax seal when he diagnosed where it was coming from. He did a good job and was polite and honest with the price. My only concern was I was not told that initial service fee of $69.00 was excluding the time to diagnose what causing the leakage. I was told on the phone before making appointment that was free estimate, then if we did not hire them, they will not charged as the initial service fee of $69.00

I hired him to fix it. But I was disappointed to see on the receipt the time spent to diagnose the leakage was added to the actual labor to fix the problem plus service charge of $69.00, actual labor was $25.00 for every 15 minutes. The wax seal was done in 28 minutes, I had my timer set on cell phone.

Over all he did a good job. He came on time, 8AM and didn't waste our time to wait for him... I thank him for that...

I called for some bad pressure on my kitchen sink. Feared a leaky pipe. A guy called me 5 minutes after I reported the problem, gave me advice how to fix it myself (stopped up aerator), did it and problem fixed. No cost to me!

I would definitely recommend Alansi. The service was just great. Yehia came out when he said he would. He was very pleasant and courteous and although clearing the bathtub drain proved to be a bit of a challenge he always kept a positive attitude and I had not doubt that he would be able to do the job. Indeed he did and within the hour always keeping that wonderfully positive attitude.

Yehia, and Moe replaced my water heater and disposal on same day. They came the very next day. They did an excellent job (even rebuilt the platform and anchored the unit correctly with straps). The left the job site clean. What I liked most was the upfront flat price, and he worked with me to choose the brand of water heater I wanted.

Alansi's is the BEST plumbing company ever!

I woke up this morning to find my downstairs bathroom floor and hall covered in water. The toilet was completely backed up. I used Alansi's previously and thought they were SUPERB and once again they did not disappoint. Mauro was at my front door within a hour of calling. He looked at my mess and immediately said you have a blockage in your main line. He immediately went to work to clean out the line, which included removing my toilet. He replaced everything and thoroughly cleaned up! The job was completed in just about an hour. Couldn't ask for more!

Now, let's talk about the price. Can we say BEYOND REASONABLE? I was truly expecting the cost to be at least $150 - $200 higher so I was quite happy to write a check. Writing a Yelp review is a small gesture compared to what Mauro did for me this morning.

Firstly, they called me to tell me when they would arrive. No waiting for hours. When Moe saw my leaky garbage disposal, he told me it needed replacing but he could do it today. What can I say other than these guys did a phenomenal job. I found some water leakage from a drain pipe in our crawl space. They diagnosed the problem accurately and did the job with surgical precision which helped keep costs way down. Once completed, they took the time to clean up meticulously after themselves. Incredibly refreshing to find a contractor in SF that does an outstanding job and actually appreciates your business (vs. doing you a favor). I just recently had the work done so quality isn't time tested yet but, after several days, things look absolutely fine.

Used Alansi again today. Third time I have over the last few years. First time was a 30 year old water heater that finally died. Yehia talked with me over the phone first and gave me the option of buying the heater myself and having him install it or he could provide it. Awesome advise and after researching them I found that Yehia could get me a better price, so came with the heater and installed it and schlepped the old one away. !!! Second time was finding a VERY high water bill and Yehia came out and ...Found the toilet was running. He fixed it and POOF, water bill decreased tremendously. Today was a non draining bathtub AND a kitchen sink that only drained when the garbage disposal was running. Steve called and said he could come 3 hours earlier than the set time!!! AWESOME. He spent about an hour and a half snaking out both drains and replacing the trap under the sink! ALL GOOD! I can't say enough about how great these guys are! No brainer, this is as good as it gets.

Garage was flooded (found out when I got home at 5.30pm), call him via his emergency phone number(after hours business voicemail listed it). He was out at my home around 7.45pm, snaked my pipes, finished within the hour.

If you need any rooter and/or plumbing needs, don't look anywhere else. These guys are as good as it gets. I live on the 4th floor of a 16 unit building. We had a dead stopped/clogged kitchen sink drain. It was very hard to troubleshoot being 4 stories up and not knowing the plumbing schematics of the building like what units shared what in terms of pipes hidden beneath the walls. They, especially Mo (the younger brother), were meticulous, persistent, thorough and never gave up even though at times there was no hope in sight. Long story short, they did everything possible to unclog the drain which turned out to be a bigger problem that affected other units as well. Anyway, I rarely write public reviews, but these guys are so awesome I had to write one so that others will benefit from their services in times of need. Also, did I mention they are punctual as well? They showed up right on time as promised. Sometimes plumbing work is just dirt out messy, but after the fix, Mo made sure everything was spotless clean and thoroughly tested before he went on his way. Just Awesome!

I had a small piece on my bathroom sink faucet that needed replacement, and Maurl came out to look at it. They charged me $127 just to come look at the bathroom and check it out. Then Maurl took me to the store where we ordered the new part, which should have arrived within a few weeks. The part arrived 5 weeks later and was the wrong part, so he had to order a new part which would take another 5 weeks. When I called back after this second 5 weeks, I got an automated response from Maurl that he was out of the country for a month! What? So then I had to call the main line and tell them my story, and of course no one knew what was going on because apparently they don't keep paperwork on orders and details of each job. So I have to call back a bunch of times to re-explain my situation, and eventually had to just wait till Maurl came back and fixed this....almost 3 months after that fact! NOT A GOOD SITUATION. Luckily the office understood that this was complete bullshit because they gave me half off the maintenance, though the job still cost me over $200...

So amazing!!!! Our gas wasn't working and landlords out of town. PG&E was gonna take 1-2 days. I called up, sent photos of the meters and he called me and walked me through the whole process. We're back in action without waiting 2 days without hot water for PG&E. Really nice, patient guys.

I used to live in a building where we did preventinve cleaning of all the pipes every 2-3 years. So, when I moved into a house recently that hadn't been taken care of at all in decades, I just assumed the pipes would need cleaning. Frankly, I was prepared to clean every single pipe. Alansi's came in and said there was no need, and didn't even charge me for the house call. I couldn't believe it - it was so honest of them. They could have taken many hundreds of dollars from me, but instead they stuck with integrity. I am impressed and will definitely call them if there's a problem.

Short of it: They fixed a problem for $175 that another company wanted $17,000.

Long of it:
Had a plumber come out because all of our drains were backing up. He snaked the line but said there was a break in the line that he couldn't get passed. That break was under the street and that is why it was going to cost around $17,000. He called someone out to run a camera through the pipe to find out exactly what we were dealing with. The camera stopped in roughly the same spot where the snake did -- about 3 feet into the street. I paid for the snaking, then the camera and decided to call around for other estimates.
I looked on yelp and found the great reviews for Alansi's and called them. They came out the next day for an estimate in which they would also run a camera through so they could see the break; however, they would make a DVD of it so that I could solicit other estimates.
Mauro came out promptly when he said he would. He ran the camera through and at first it seemed as if there was a problem in that spot. He didn't give up though and was able to get the snake through to clear the blockage. After that he was able to get the camera through all the way to the main.
We did have a couple of offsets under our lawn but he said they are nothing to worry about.
I will definitely use them for everything in the future. We also stil have the DVD!

Adrian showed up right at 10 AM. Was very polite, knowledgeable, as well as agreeable. Very easy to talk with and get done what we wanted. He was in and out of here in the time he estimated which included an unexpected rooter job. The price was reasonable considering we had all the pipes under the kitchen sink replaced. GREAT JOB as always. We'be been with Alansi since we discovered them about two years ago. They never disappoint.

I had a clogged kitchen sink and I called Alansi's after reading the Yelp reviews today. After a couple of back and forth phone calls (all courteous and prompt) , I was given an appointment for noon. A guy named Mauro showed up (on time) and gave me a quote for $69 to get the work done. He worked fast and was done in 20 minutes. I paid $80 (incd. tip) and am very happy with the service. I checked everything while he was here and now I've tried my dishwasher also. Everything working fine. He also said they give a 60 day guarantee for their work. So if I were to find any problems after he left they would fix it for me free of cost. Overall I am pretty happy with the work.

I had an emergency clogged sewer situation last week at a rental property. I called a number of companies with high Yelp reviews but their wait time was 2 to 3 hours.
I then called Alansis's Plumbing Co. and they told me that they would be there in 30 to 45 minutes. They were there is 30 minutes. The technician that came out, Moe was knowledgeable, courteous and most importantly honest. Once he reviewed the problem, he came up with a great solution. Since there were no clean outs in the area of the clogged sewer pipe, he came up with a practical solution by cutting a small access hole in the vent pipe that was accessible from the light well, he then ran a snake through it that cleared the clogged line, and installed a cover over the small hole that he cut in the vent line. Now we have a clean out access point in this location of the building in case of any future line clogs.
Prior to starting the work Moe protected the area to keep it clean and when he left there was no signs that any work was done.
I have dealt with a number of other plumbing companies in the past, and have to say that Alansi's Plumbing was the best I have seen so far in an unpleasant situation such as a clogged sewer line situation.
Moe came in, took care of the problem, charged me a fair price for it, and that's that.

Left a message and was promptly called back. They came the same day in the 2 hour window they said they would. Very friendly, respectful, and done in about 10-15 minutes. I had to have my toilet unclogged. I decided on Alansi's after calling a few places, Alansi's had the most reasonable rate and had the highest rating on Yelp. Would definitely recommend! Paid the $85 as quoted - did not need to take up the toilet. Very thorough and would use their service again.

this place is amazing, i had twice had another plumbing company come out (w/good reviews here) in the past 1 1/2 years. each time they would snake my house but from the street because they could not find the outside place where they are supposed to be able to connect into. anyway, 1st time lasted about 1 year & a half, 2nd time same thing, can't find the place to clear out in front of house, said it is buried and again did from street, both total costs $1500. When this happened again after the 2nd time, I found Alansi's. Awesome. Moe came out the next day, and he actually not only showed me where the clean out most likely was (plus I had spoken with the prior owner of the home) but he also cleared out a pipe in my kitchen sink, which made sense. the water was always getting backed up first in the front of the house and then the back. this other company never thought to do this! Moe did it, and was excellent as everyone says, cleaned everything and left. Charged for one hour. I will never use another plummer again.

These guys are all sorts of wonderful! Having a plumbing problem brings on a lot of anxiety but I got a quick appointment for the same day I called. They called to give me a half an hour notice before they got there and within 20 mins of diagnosing the problem, it was gone. All the while, Moe and I were chatting while he was working and he filled me in with all sorts of useful tips on do's and dont's. I highly recommend using their services, I didn't even try looking around after I saw all the reviews on Yelp. Why bother?

Our bathroom sink was backed up and my husband couldn't figure out how to change out the connector from the drain to the sewer pipe inside the wall. He called Alansi and Mauro came out. It took less than an hour to have the 40 year old connector out and replaced, the pipe snaked, and everything reattached. My husband was happy with the work and especially liked that Mauro didn't just walk into the house wearing sewage covered work boots, like some other r___ rooter companies have done. We'll definitely call Alansi again.

I called around 1 pm with a clogged kitchen drain. A real live person answered the phone, took my information and said she would call me back to see when someone could come out. She called back within 10 minutes and said they would be there between 3 and 5 pm. Showed up at 4 pm, fixed the clog, replaced 3 washers at no charge and left within 30-40 minutes. Yenia was knowledgeable, courteous, cleaned up after himself and thanked me for the business. I would recommend this company to anyone and they are certainly the plumbing company we will call whenever we need a plumber.

He then proceeded to fix several other minor problems that we had, but he did not charge us for the additional time that he used to solve these additional problems. Wondering why so many 5 stars? I had to call and find out. Nice lady over the phone gave a courtesy call before plumber came. Yehia is down to earth, professional and very nice. He took a look at the problem, told me the cost and time before working on it. He answer all my questions and even gave some tips. Prices are all listed on the web! There's even a 2 month guarantee! We bought a home in 2009 and along with it came a tub with a rather elegant imported set of plumbing, with 3 different ways to admit water to the tub/shower. We started to have problems with it two months ago. Our regular plumber tried to fix it and could not. Yehia and Mauro both worked on our problem. They only charged for one hour, the first visit. They returned twice more and refused further payment or tip. They have it all working now and promised to do further research on this unique brand and be ready to return with other solutions if this doesn't hold up. They're both nice guys and we'll use them again and again and recommend them!

Yehia gave me a reasonable quote to install a water sub-meter and fix a leak. He showed up on time both for the initial estimate and to perform the work. The leak took much longer to fix than he had estimated because the faucet had been improperly installed years before. He insisted on honoring his original quote and guaranteed his work. Not your typical plumber.

Alansi's is terrific! They installed a new laundry in my apartment -100 yr. old building- and had to overcome amazing hurdles to do it. If they can accomplish this, anything else is a walk in the park for them! They're my new go-to guys for all my plumbing needs! Only problem is that they are getting very busy and difficult to schedule. But worth the wait if not an emergency... Which they will respond to btw.

We hired them to scope out our pipes with a camera and to fix another pipe. Yehia came out and he said he would do the work, but someone else showed up. The guy who showed up, I explained everything to again. We were particularly curious as to where a certain pipe went. When the guy who showed up was done using the camera, I realized that he did not put the camera in that particular pipe. So, I asked him if he could please put the camera in that pipe. He had to remove some bricks to get to that pipe area again and he started literally tossing the bricks on the side instead of just removing them. I finally told him if he kept throwing the bricks that they would break. I felt really uncomfortable at his angry demeanor. I've never experienced that from a contractor before. He did put the camera in that pipe, but I could tell he was not happy. He was also supposed to put a cap on a pipe, which he did, but later I realized it wasn't even the right size and it is just resting on top and the rubber cap was not properly fastened. However, the other pipe that they fixed, they did a good job, although they left a bit of a mess which they cleaned up after I asked.

ok, I never thought I would be compelled to write a review for a plumber - of all things! But Yehia really delivered, in every way, for a very fair and up front price. I had an emergency gas leak (scary), and on a weekend no less (arghhh!), and of the several plumbers I called, Yehia was the ONLY one to call me back, and swiftly, and because of the urgent matter, was out rapidly to fix my issue by checking for all the leaks and making the pipe repair. He was clean, articulate, polite, patient, and straightforward, explaining everything very clearly. He even took care of the permit that had to be pulled, saving me a trip and confusion. He also helped me understand what I needed to say and do with the PG&E service person who needed to come back and do a check/sign off before gas could be restored. What started as an awful, scary experience, became much less of an ordeal, thanks to Yehia. I will definitely be calling him first for any future plumbing needs - though let's hope none so urgent.

I called for 2 clogged drains on Saturday morning at 9am. I left a message with them and I received a returned phone called 20 minutes later. The guy who called back was working with me trying to figure out a time that worked for me and his crew. We ended up on settling on Sunday afternoon(they could have come earlier but that did not work for me). He remembered my available options and he then called me at 1pm on Saturday saying he has a guy that can come in 30 minutes. I was shocked that he was able to get someone out that worked with my schedule. Moe showed up exactly 30 minutes later. The guy on the phone said most clogs should be fixed in an hour. Moe agreed when he got onsite that it should be no more then an hour. Moe took a look at the problem and got right to work. Moe brought in his own mat to work off of and even took off his shoes. He was extremely professional. Our tub was disgusting as it was filled with all this rust and sediment. Once he cleared the clog he then cleaned the whole tub out and got rid of all the sediment. He made sure the floor was cleaned up and you would never know that we had a backed-up tub. Moe then took a look and another backed-up sink. He fixed that clog and even the leak from the pipes underneath. All fixed in an hour. They gave me a price, showed up when they said, were very professional, nice and clean. I have tried a few plumbers and this is by far the best experience. I have always read yelp reviews but never posted. I picked these guys because of Yelp and now I am writing my first review.
