Our back garage door got water damage from years of neglect (prior owner). We hired another handyman who did a botched job. Michael did his best to resolve the damage done, which required a lot of craftsmanship.
Yes, it costed me more money, but it was done right, backed by a guarantee. He does take pride in his work and will share ideas to manage your cost too.

I had a small project to update my front entry way by removing a pony wall, replacing the tile, patching up some drywall, and adding a custom built bench/shoe rack for guests to put on and remove their shoes. Eric did an amazing job and I love how everything turned out. He was super responsive and overall just a kind person to work with. He made sure to cover up the living room area while working with the drywall so dust didn't fly everywhere, which I really appreciated. 10/10 highly recommend! Thanks again for everything, Eric!

Our Kitchen Remodel was a long process, but the new custom cabinets, counter tops, electrical, drywall, plumbing, appliances, and painting process were finally completed.
The Backsplash, over the cooktop and counter, was the last step.
We contacted several installers from lists provided by the tile stores.
We received no return calls.
Finally, we decided to try Yelp. Our Yelp search for Backsplash installers listed Golden Bear Contracting.
We called Michael, the owner of Golden Bear Contracting.
He answered our call and said he could come out that afternoon and give us a quote.
We wanted to show Michael the tile we had selected and also the Mosaic we had purchased to go over the cooktop.
The Mosaic contained thousands of really small tiles, and we wanted to be sure Michael could install it.
He answered all of our questions about installing the Mosaic and gave us a few suggestions on outlining the Mosaic with darker Pencil tiles.
We decided on the spot that Michael was the contractor to do our installation.
He gave us a date about two-weeks out for the installation and we shook hands on the deal.
Michael arrived on the promised day at exactly 8am and got right to work.
The job was finished, as promised, around noon the next day.
Everything, including the mosaic, went perfectly.
The grouting and the tile sealing went smoothly and the finished product looks absolutely great.
His cleanup was spotless and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
We'll be remodeling our master bathroom next and we had Michael look at the bathroom and make suggestions.
Turns out that he actually specializes in Bathroom remodels.
We were very impressed with our backsplash and also with his suggestions on the bathroom remodel.
We've decided to call Michael when we're ready to tackle the bathroom.
He is very professional, courteous, punctual and, when it comes to tile, he's Great.

These guys were great for my mothers place. We met them at the home show and were impressed by the quality of the tub. After meeting with Derek for a consultation, they were very reasonable compared with other estimates we got.  They got this tub installed in 1 day!  It was crazy to see the transformation happen so quickly. My mother loves this thing and is super grateful for the workmanship. My mom even said they followed up a week later to make sure she was happy with the product still.

Alfredo and his team always do excellent high-quality work. We've had them rebuild the gables on our house, rebuild a covered patio on our casita, and replace several sections of warped and worn-out siding. Everything has turned out great and we're very pleased. We'll be happy to hire Alfredo's team to do more work for us in the future!

I am not sure I can express in words how wonderful the experience and quality of work Craig on-site and Andrew in coordinating in operations .  We installed an eco water treatment system, Kitchen water filtration system, and a routine repair on a bathroom sink.  It was greeted promptly, with a quick visit to the house, an outline of options.  Craig listened to what I said, researched something I had heard of, and produced it within a week even in the midst of COVID.   While onsite on that project, he noticed an existing issue and potential problems  developing with my water heater.  No urgency on it just fact and possible issues.  Again, my options were outlined in discussion as well as on the contract.  We ended up purchasing an instant hot water heater system that has completely solved all of our water problems (running the water for 10 mins before it gets warm).  All paperwork was completed electronically so quickly and easily.  Then as a complete surprise, they sent me an Amazon gift card with a nice note of thanks!  Who does that these days?  You will NOT be sorry.  You do not have to have a large project or the most expensive.  Call them, what are you waiting for?  Now to know they do electrical and remodeling work - wow!  I'm in.

I contacted Geremey due to an aging roof that was in desperate need of repair. I contacted 3 different companies, all who wanted me to wait for a few weeks just for them to come out. With the rain we've had, I couldn't wait that long. Geremey was very responsive and understood my needs. He came out that afternoon and had the job done quicker than I anticipated. My neighbor is a home inspector and he even said this is one of the best roofs I've seen. Ken Armstrong of Armstrong Innovations:  FRAUD ALERT for custom kitchen and bathroom remodel.  The old common contractor practice of fraud is alive and well, and I found it in Anthem, AZ.  He's an underskilled laborer who took our money and hired another equally unskilled subcontractor, and together, they ruined all 3 of our expensive countertops.  Ken's highly distracted and disorganized, and has enormous difficulty staying on any task, so he didn't, with us.  He instead started something else, and never quite finished anything he started, but he had no problem asking for lots more money for his shoddy workmanship while overcharging by thousands.  He kept and hid the receipts to himself, despite more than one request for them, leading to suspicion about his questionable business practices, since he already lied to us about his availability and about showing up for work, and he had covered the damaged wood he installed in our home with blue tape over it.  He called this custom design.   We would soon discover that we had legitimate reason to confirm our suspicion was true, and to fire him, to prevent further financial loss. It's no big deal not to show up for work, he said, with a childish, unprofessional excuse, representing the best of what I saw of his business acumen.  He's excessively arrogant about what he does badly, and he did it all badly.   From the brown water discharge from my new plumbing he installed, to the white tile he poorly grouted and failed to correct, to the stone flooring he discolored with his dirty sealant, to the damaged and scarred wood he installed, to the pocket door he hung wrong per installation instructions he didn't read, to the countertop fiasco with no one using published installation instructions, resulting in uneven and unlevel and unusable surfaces, and to all other numerous issues he created for himself, he blamed his blatant installation errors on everything else BUT himself, offering faulty logic for his costly shortcomings, never admitting he grossly misrepresented his capabilities, and himself as a reputable businessman. He walked off our job during his subcontractor's countertop installation, so he could bid on another project.  I watched as no level and no measuring tape was used, resulting in a sloppy countertop I can't use because of gross height and leveling deficiencies.  That's just crazy, he said, when I inquired about his need to measure the range for its custom height requirements in preparation for the countertop installation.  Putting countertops on before putting cabinet doors on was one of his very bad judgments.  Trust me, he said about his countertop subcontractor, whose last name and business card he withheld from us when asked, so that we could follow up with our Silestone 15 year warranty that we will never see that he failed to produce for us after we paid for the material and the installation.  While he was hired to work with us, he was evasive and unavailable.  He offered us whatever we asked for in our custom design, then told us he had lots of experience with it, then left us completely inconvenienced with poor attendance, poor quality work, and failing to honor his word of being available to us for his assistance with our custom project.  He offered to spend some of his contracted time picking up and delivering our tub, toilets, and larger purchases for us, but, he left us to do it for ourselves.  He said that he would help us with design ideas and specific material selections for our custom design, but didn't, then rudely blamed us for delaying him, leaving us hanging and causing us further delays, such that we had to ask for the face to face meeting with him in writing, that he refused.  He refused to guarantee his work, and then insulted us before asking us for 4500 more dollars the next day.  He made excuses for the 3940.00 problem he created with the countertops, then walked away from the project.  Completely abandoned with no contact for over two weeks, he left us with poor workmanship and leaky plumbing and no cabinet doors.  He cashed our 5000 dollar check without depositing any of it.  When is Ken coming back from vacation? asked one of his subcontractors, during the time period he was given to fix the identified errors in our home, while time ticked away towards his given deadline.   His lack of integrity and ability to follow through with his approaching deadlines describe his style.  You deserve to know in advance that he doesn't make his own cabinet doors, but he never told us that until just before he abandoned the project, when we confronted him about his poor quality work and asked for that face to face meeting that he refused.  This dog is not worth the filing fee to take to court, but I'd love to show a jury the pictures and video of what he thinks is good work. Underskilled, unethical, and blatantly dishonest is what we experienced. Countertop subcontractor works for business whose license is suspended by ROC.

I hired Jeremy for several projects around my house. Some small , some large. Remodeled the entire front of my house with stacked stone and fresh stucco where needed. He put in new lights in the back and front of the house. He did electrical work in my garage and even got my pool light working again. He built a new shelf in my back yard along with a few other extras! Jeremy and his crew were outstanding in everything that they did. Anything I wanted done he made work. The word no was not in his vocabulary.  I am using them again next year for my bathroom remodels. Do not hesitate to hire this company. The best contractors I have ever worked with! We recently moved to Phoenix and went through the overwhelming process of bidding out new countertops throughout our home.  We met with & received bids from 4 different companies, once we met Fabio, we knew we wanted to go with him.  To our surprise, their bid was the lowest when equally compared & the amount of professionalism was tremendously more than the rest.  The crew came in to do the job on time, they were fast, clean, and took care of my home like it was theirs when they demo'd the old countertops to put in the new.  We could not recommend anyone more than Fabio & his crew.  We're putting in backsplash next week and will post photos then!

No show, no call and when called, indicated he arranged an hour window to arrive, which is not true.  This appointment was made with him not through a service or other staff.  Total disregard for your time and your work schedule and with something as simple as arriving on time for a meeting in which he set the time, take note people.

We are so pleased with all the work they helped us with, including a new fireplace and surround, wainscoting, whole home painting, lighting, shiplap, and many other projects! Simply put, Mike Roberts and his team did a phenomenal job on our kitchen. We are completely thrilled with our results, and are very indebted to Mike and his team. Every aspect of the process was agreeable for us, from the original quote, to length of construction, to payment plan. Mike communicated very well and let my wife and I know what would be happening when. As this was my first major renovation, the certain power of horror stories from friends who have undergone similar renovations really biased my view against having such a major project done in my home. Mike reassured me, and followed through. He was communicative, had solid follow up, addressed my questions as I went along, and generally had subcontractors there when they needed to be there. He was also sensitive to the needs of a historic home, and the finished product, although modern, really does work well with the historic façade. I would wholeheartedly recommend Mike Roberts and the Second Avenue design team when considering your next home remodel.

They came out to do an estimate, told me I would have something in my email in a few days, and I never heard from them again. It has now been almost two weeks. I guess my job is to small potatoes for them!
