Wonderful experience this week with Apex. First, their answering service is very thorough and professional. (I didn't know anyone still used answering services!)  Jon came out to help with a toilet tank that wasn't filling. I appreciated that he explained everything that was going on in the tank and how he was going to fix it. Very professional demeanor, knowledgeable and friendly. Well done.

A few months ago, after moving into a new place, the decade+ old 40-gal tank water heater (tucked away in a drain-less closet) failed, sending water all over the floor at approximately 7:00 AM. After shutting off the water and cleaning up, I went looking for a plumber.
Since the damage was already done, I took my time and shopped around. I originally wanted to replace my gas heater with a tankless electric variety (for safety reasons). I found a unit online that I thought would be perfect, as it worked with my existing electrical setup and was only a couple hundred dollars. Most plumbers I talked to either didn't know how to install a tankless model (and would only give me $1200+ quotes for tank variety, no custom-work installs), or they knew how, but they only wanted to install their own brands and at a price $1000 higher than I was comfortable with. When I called Vanguard, Jan was the only plumber I contacted who actually asked why I wanted to change from a tank to a tankless. He explained to me that the model I had chosen was insufficient for even a small apartment, and while he would install it if I really wanted him to, he worried that I'd be unhappy with the product (and that I'd spend more money later on removing it and replacing it with a more traditional tank model). To satisfy the safety concerns I had, Jan suggested we use a smaller-form 40-gal electric tank model, raise the tank off the ground, add in an overflow basin (to prevent any future disasters), route any overflow into the drain in the adjacent bathroom, and cap the gas line.

Not only was Jan the most honest and flexible in addressing my concerns, he gave me a quote lower than any other plumber I called (and lower than even the You can do it. We can help hardware giant with a poorly-reviewed replacement tank and bare-bones installation). He completed the tank replacement (with a premium grade tank), did all that custom work, and hauled away the old tank -- all in a few hours, and the quality of the work was very evident. It has been over six months, I'm still impressed with the job he did, and I haven't had an issue with hot water since.

I was thoroughly impressed with Jan's honesty and professionalism, and I will be making Vanguard my go-to plumbing company for any/all planned projects and unplanned emergencies.

Submitted request to Plumbing123. Victor called within hours to provide quote, explained all services available and offered references. Their quote was competitive and their references excellent. Then booked and scheduled appointment. Victor and crew arrived on time and is very personable and knowledgeable. Victor explained the process and showed via camera my sewer drain line and its route to street which was not clear. Rodding began and was completed after full path was cleared into street line. Fixer came to our house tonight and did a fantastic job. Kate and Jen helped us fix a couple of doors, mount a tv, hang some challenging decor and fix a toilet that wouldn't stop running! They walked us through what they were doing and told us how to fix things on our own in the future. Super friendly, patient, and no task was too small for them to help with. Can't recommend them enough!

These guys were fantastic.  They scheduled quickly and where there the next morning.  Eric walked me through the issue and all steps of the project. The problem with fixed and our basement is DRY...  Hire with confidence.

I was very impressed with my technician Bert. He was very patient and diligent in finding the root (quite literally lots of roots) of our sewer problem. He ended up staying several hours beyond our appointment due to the problems he discovered. It gave me great piece of mind to have the work completed despite him working until 7pm on a Friday even though he arrived in the morning, as we were having major backup problems. I have used other sewer companies in the past, but I won't use any other than All Rooter & Plumbing. Bert used the biggest possible blade to rod our main line and took out lots of roots despite the fact that another company cleaned out the main line in mid May. If you want your work done right the first time, do yourself a favor and use All Rooter! Thanks again Bert!

Very honest plumber. He came over and we just needed something tightened and he charged us nothing. This is the second time we've called him and we find him to be a very fair and honest person.

Used this company again. We called Friday night and someone was able to come out Saturday morning. Highly recommend.

Gary was awesome!!! First time using them and they were excellent. After 2 previous plumbers (and a lot of $$$) these guys did a great job and fixed my problem. They are very clean, professional and courteous.  They came on time, communication was excellent and pricing was very reasonable. These guys are my new go to plumbers! I see why they have all of these good reviews. You just don't find guys like this anymore.

The 24/7 Service Team was awesome! Jose Castaneda and the other team member provided me with excellent service from the moment of contact until the job was over within the one day time frame which was actually a few hours. Not only was my issue resolved, but his plumbing expertise resulted in better service. Initially, I needed my toilets repaired. Jose suggested that I replace the toilets. He told me the brand and where to purchase. I purchased them immediately, and the next day they were picked up- by Jose and partner and installed. I couldn't be more pleased with the new toilets!  My home has never been more pleased! The team was efficient, knowledgeable of ALL plumbing services, polite,  and HONEST! Not to mention- the costs were reasonable. If you don't contact 24/7 Service Team for ALL of your plumbing needs- you'll be disappointed!

I had several issues all at once toilet stopped up hot water heater went out. Arco tech john came out to snake the toilet turns out nothing in the line.  I need a new toilet I ran to Home Depot to buy new toilet. they put in the new toilet and water heater on the same afternoon.  so awesome   would highly recommend. very professional and clean. Had a problematic front door that wouldn't close properly.  Tim picked up the phone right away - and just happened to be in the neighborhood.  Stopped by and fixed the problem in about 15 minutes.  Rates were very reasonable and I would definitely recommend him as he will now be our one stop shop going forward when needing a friendly neighborhood handyman!  Thanks again!

I had a clogged underground downspout drain in La Grange area.  Just noticed it during installation of new gutters, replacing probably 40 year old gutters.  Rooter showed up within an hour for a free estimate.  He got hands on and showed me how extremely jam packed it was with dirt and roots.  It had probably been that way for years and years.

He offered a few solutions and was honest about the probability of it being a total loss anyway after trying those solutions, needing to dig up and replace the pipe.  In the end, I think I'm going to avoid it altogether and go with a normal above ground downspout solution.  

Rooter has fast, reliable, honest service.  I'm going to call them again the next time I need a plumber.

Ejector pump was running more frequently and seemed like ground water was coming in. They quickly went over to the main sump pump which they realized had failed causing the water to look for another way out.

These guys are pros and the company was super quick to respond. What else can you ask for in a plumbing service?

Absolutely not! We called them about the toilets being backed up. Ladies room and men's room. So 4 toilets and a urinal. Told them how many toilets and urinals we had and how it had to be rodded out 200ft.
 We were quoted over the phone $1745. After not having luck with another vendor, I went ahead and got these guys out.
 Dominic was the one that came out with two other people. Very friendly and approachable. No problems. Well I see the paper. There is an additional fee of $625 if it has to be hydro blasted. Ok I thought well hey if it has to be done so be it. So didn't question that. I was not happy that I was not told this over the phone as I'm using a company card and I needed approval.
 So I call right away to get the approval. Done. Final bill I see him add $325. I ask what is this for? He said because he had to service each toilet and urinal. Wtf! So I'm I like ok are you going to clean up the mess?? He says yes. So I. Have no problem with that either. However they mopped the dirty disgusting floors with MY mops and leave water all over our back room. Puddles. Also the toilets and walls covered in sewage. What happened to the cleaning ?? Wtf was the extra $325 for??
So, long story short, I feel as if I got taken by a local plumber. I should have just went with rotor rooter. I will NEVER recommend these guys. I was so impressed with the fast response and promises. But the promises were empty and the rodding of $1745 turned into $2695. If you want to get taken I guess choose these people. I will never use them. Yes I have had this problem in the past but the plumber I originally used wasn't available. I was actually going to use Good Guys in the future and recommend them but I can't. Not after what happened today.

Completely dissatisfied and disgusted with two recent jobs by Goode Plumbing, especially considering that I am a repeat customer (3 jobs in 2020-2021) who had a good experience with this company in the past.  Not only did they not do the job as outlined in the estimate/proposal (rebuild a vintage shower... in fact they did not rebuild anything), but even worse, now the shower is not functioning at all.  So, I paid $1,700 to have damage to my vintage shower that will now cost me at least $1,200 to fix (according to another plumber).  Not to mention that they kept my credit card on file without my authorization and charged the final payments without my authorization.  Also the scheduling and follow up from the office staff was pathetic.  One person seemed to know what was going on and another, completely clueless.  Will not work with this company in the future.

Walter conducts his business with the upmost professionalism and responsiveness.  I called on a Friday evening with a plumbing problem that needed to be addressed ASAP and he was out there Saturday morning.  He stands by his work, is fairly priced, makes sure the job is done right, and to back it up is right by his phone should you ever need him.  I would highly recommend him to anyone.  He's a true professional.  Thanks again Walter!
