Our condo building is very strict on having an outside plumbing to do the work but they did a great job

Arrived on time to install my hot water recirculator pump and look at a clogged toilet. They were very professional and did a great job. Only reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 was for being charged full price to unclog the toilet. Had they made a special trip out here to JUST do that, the price might have been justified. However, since they were already here, I don't think it should have been full price for the 10 minutes that were spent unclogging it. Otherwise, highly recommend and will use again! Thanks!

Plumbing 123 saved the day!! Called them this morning, the team was at the location and working before I arrived.  Victor was done fast and was very understanding and considerate with ALL of the questions and concerns I had, plus the price was reasonable.  Thanks again!

I contacted this company through Home Adviser and after reading reviews on Yelp. I had listed my problems as two areas where the light fixture was not working and I suspected a short in the fixture or the wiring. I called on a Monday and was given a Tuesday appointment. I received a text an hour later saying the fixer was late but would arrive soon. I was confused but ran around wildly getting myself presentable . It was a mistake and my appointment was still Tuesday.---Tuesday my fixer arrived 30 minutes late but was very nice. The problem was unless I just needed light bulbs changed there was nothing he could do --he wasn't an electrician. He could take a look but if it was the wiring he could not fix anything and would have to charge me. I said but when I was asked on line to describe my problem I stated that I suspected a short. Why did your company send someone that was unable to help??? He said that he just is sent out and never is told the actual situation. Thanks for wasting my time .

Had an excellent experience with Drain Works. They helped me work through a number of violations and come up with cost-effective solutions in a restricted timeline. Excellent communication and thought partnership.

I don't write a lot of Yelp reviews, but Bert deserves another shout out! He was the second guy we had come to fix the kitchen drain. The first guy could not get it cleared (it was a very nasty clog), but Bert showed up with a great attitude and great knowledge of what he does. He will be the first guy I call from now on! Plumbers came to my place to check the issue and left with a promise to call back to make recommendations. Unfortunately the call back never happened. I tried calling back a few times but never got a response. Unfortunately I can't recommend them.

Pretty terrible experience. I had a backup in my basement so I called Captain rooter out. After walking around they told me they recommended to hydrojet the line to clear it and then stick a camera in the pipes to see what was going on.

Quoted me $1300 because there was no cleanout (WRONG). I showed them the cleanout and now the price became $900. They took a look into the cleanout and dropped their flashlight which became stuck as well. Refused to get it out and never responded again.

We converted our 2 water heaters into a tankless water heater. We got 2 estimates and went with the slightly lower one. Arco came and did the work in less than a full day's shift. A few days later we noticed a lot of condensation in our 1 basement wall and called them stating there's something going on..
it also happened to be an extremely cold December night. They came out the next day to check out what was going on. Found out the problem was something completely unrelated with our furnace causing the problem. Long story short, they showed us the problem, did a quick temporary fix and told us who to contact for a long term solution. They honestly could have told us, not our problem, because it was something the previous owner messed up that we hadn't noticed yet since buying 2 years ago. Such excellent service and decent folk. Highly recommend

My project, which was to replace the rotted trim around the entry doors of a rental property proved more challenging than was initially anticipated. Tim came up with a solution, and executed the work to my complete satisfaction.
He arrived on time, and somehow survived a trip to Home Depot to pick up supplies, when half of Chicago had decided to spend their Memorial Day there!
I would definitely hire him again

My 21 year old hot water heater died and after some research I reached out to Rooter Plumbing.  Alex (the owner) responded immediately and 2 days later (he actually offered to come the next day but i was out of town) he was at my house with the new heater.  Arrived on time and worked efficiently and left the place spotless.  I had a few questions and reached out to Alex again and he was so responsive!  Great service, friendly and most importantly, trustworthy.  I will definitely be using them again!

Chicago Sewer Experts came out to fix an issue we were having with our washer/sink draining. Not only were they late (arrived past the time window we were given and no call to let us know they were running late), but the worker then locked his keys in the car which took half an hour to resolve. He used OUR tools to get himself back into his car. Once he was finally able to get in the car and get his tools, he did NOT tell us that blowing out the hose of the dryer would cause our kitchen sink to be blown out too. This caused mud and debris from the pipes to be blown all over our kitchen and our ceiling, which led to a lengthy cleaning process on our end and trying to figure out how to scrub the ceiling. Absolutely do not use them.

Very nice guys. But I paid them over $1,300
And couldn't fix the clog. Their next step they were going to dig and fix it. But I had to pay extra $1200.
I called some one else and fix it for $500.
I request a refound of at least half of the $1300.
That I paid for nothing. But just said they will ask the office. The office say they will ask the guy. And still nothing. This is over a month now.

I had service on 11/29 . Antonio was the worker who contacted me. I was quoted $700.00 to replace a shower cartridge which I thought was too much but I was away from home and wanted my shower working. I agreed because I was 43 miles away working. I was then told the entire shower valve would have to be replaced and the risers would be replaced also. I requested ball valves to be install for shutoffs. I was quoted $2699 which I thought was way too much but the risers would be replaced and I was away from home. I agreed to the price. I was told later that the risers couldn't be replaced because went too far down the wall. A new shower valve and trim kit were installed. I was told the job was done and provided payment over the phone job unseen because I was still working. When I got home and inspected the job, I saw a huge hole in the closet where the access to the pipes was visible. There was minimal cooper replacement of the plumbing. Approximately 2-3 feet of work leaving most of the existing galvanized pipe untouched. No shut off ball valves were install as discussed, which was possible. Other galvanized sections that could have been replaced were not. With the Moen shower valve and trim kit and fittings, I couldn't see more than $500 in parts and that is being generous. I was never given a downgraded price for the downgraded work preformed. I feel I was taken very much advantaged of with the price charged for the work performed. A few days latter I received a text message from Lexus requesting a review of Martin D. who I didn't know. I called to discuss the matter and talked with Jake the manager. He said usually a job of replacing a shower valve was only $1350.00 and he would have to look into the work. I told Jake that I'm planning to leave my experience on Yelp but I thought I would contact him first for some sort of resolution to the experience. Jake or Goode plumbing never responded

Walter has done numerous jobs at my place and I was always satisfied..until lfew weeks ago when he was scheduled to come, failed to show up, I called him said he was on his way... It was 2 weeks ago..I must have called 10 times, to no avail...
I will not work with Walter again..
