Chas arrived on time, mask and booties.  He was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, a leaky, not working disposal, had a unit at the ready for replacement, installed it and was gone within 25 minutes.

I tried to install a bidet from Amazon and failed so miserably I couldn't even get my toilet hooked back up to the water line without massive spray leaks. I figured out quickly that I was in over my head and needed to pay a pro to bail me out.

I chose Vanguard because they were located near me and had been in business for over a decade. I emailed a photo with my (non-emergency) issue and they replied to me first thing next day to get more details. They weren't able to come out right away, but I take that as a good sign when a plumber is busy enough with work to not be immediately available. I wanted to pay a professional to get the job done correctly, the first time, and was willing to accept what that kind of work costs. I emailed on Tuesday night and by Thursday morning Jan was able to come out (earlier than anticipated) and solved my issue within an hour. Jan had the right tools, replacement parts, installed the bidet for me, no leaks, and even took the time to educate me about some valves on my water heater in my new-to-me condo. He was professional and friendly.  I can highly recommend Vanguard Plumbing!

Victor came over last minute to fix an outdoor leak we had during the bitter cold. He clearly and honestly explained the problem to us, then, he went to two different stores to get the correct part so he could get it fixed that night. We never felt like we were being overcharged and he was professional, courteous and very responsive. We will certainly call him again with any other plumbing issues!

I've used Fixer on 3 different occasions, all for faucet replacement. As far as the work itself, top notch - well worth leaving a tip. HOWEVER, read carefully their pricing protocol and figure the cost of any non-repair expenses before having them do the work. On my last repair I was charged over $25 to cover a 5x8 hole with a 18x24 panel board - they said the material cost them $21 to purchase, plus 20% upcharge (They didn't charge me the $50 purchasing fee, which would have the deal breaker going forward). Well, I got on the Home Depot website afterward, and that board was indeed listed at $21 - FOR A 4'X8' SHEET! My guy comes in the door with just a portion of that sheet and cut that down for my job. So, does Fixer charge the next customer $21+ for the portion that got put back in the truck? So, use your scratchpad before calling.

Bert came for me on short notice after another local plumber delays his visit by a day. He was friendly, professional, thorough and efficient. Not only did he identify the issue, he gave me advice on multiple ways to resolve it, offering pros and cons of all methods. He was conscious of my budget, and worked his best, successfully, to keep the job well within my comfort range.

I'm sold, and while I hope I don't have to see him for a while, he'll be the first person I call if I need a plumber again.

Our bathtub handles and shower couplet were leaking and the pipes were very old.  Joe saved the day by replacing the pipes to the bathtub and shower and put a round dish with the on and off for the water and new shower couplet!  He also replaced the on and off valves in the laundry room.  Joe was quick and very knowledgable!  Joe and Lucas make a great team.  I would definitely use their service again!

I was referred to Gary by a friend. I called and told him that I was thinking about a new  sump pump and maybe even a battery backup. Gary was professional on the phone and asked all the right questions. He pointed out even though my house is only 10 years old the sump pump is the original. Based on Gary's professional opinion he suggested its better to be safe than sorry. Especially since I have a finished basement why risk another season on a 10 year old pump.. So the next morning Gary came out and changed my sump pump. Its seemed like he changed it in no time. It was shocking since the sump pump is tucked in a corner with a cabinet built over it to hide it. Even with a small access panel on the side he was able to get in and change it out fast. While he was here he suggested that it would be a good idea for a battery backup system. We frequently get power outages here in spring and summer. He recommended a phenomenal brand that he sells and installs. His price on the sump pump and install was competitive but his level of service, professionalism, and experience is second to none. I look forward to having Gary come back and install that battery back up.

They seem to have done a good job overall, but it was hard to communicate with them. He came fairly quickly to give me a quote and explained everything he was going to do. He seems very knowledgeable about his job and gave me a good price. However, he must be very busy because after I agreed to the quote it was hard to get answers to my questions. Then, he was supposed to return to finish putting the plate on the wall and to adjust the lights as they are motion lights and one of them only turns on for a second and then it goes off, so now I'm left with trying to fix those final minor things. I'm not handy man, so that's just annoying to me.

Just as a follow up, they did come and finish the loose ends. My advice is that if you sense your questions or concerns are not being met, just reach out to the owner of the company, Jesse!

Before I called Adam I first called rooter router and the guy came and said he cannot open the dum trap because something might get in his eye- and left- please do not use rooter Router - complete garbage!!

I called Adam and he immediately can out and cleaned out my drain in 15 minutes- did an remarkably job!!!!

We are new homeowners and reached out after discovering a wet rug and what appeared to be dried sediment in our laundry room. I smelled sewage, and my wife didn't, so we needed to consult a professional for a tiebreaker.

I saw positive reviews on Yelp, so I left a message for Arco in the early morning and Peter called back within two hours.

Peter took the time to listen to our issue and provide on the spot guidance, rather than coming out to diagnose a problem just to charge for a visit. He recommended calling the Downers Grove sanitation department first, which I did and they came out quickly to assess.

Without even knowing Arco referred us to them, the rep stated that we did the right thing by calling them to come out before having a plumber come out. He said if we had continued issues to call Arco because they  know the process, are honest, and will not upsell.  That was exactly my experience, so they will be our go-to from now on!

I had a clogged underground downspout drain in La Grange area.  Just noticed it during installation of new gutters, replacing probably 40 year old gutters.  Rooter showed up within an hour for a free estimate.  He got hands on and showed me how extremely jam packed it was with dirt and roots.  It had probably been that way for years and years.

He offered a few solutions and was honest about the probability of it being a total loss anyway after trying those solutions, needing to dig up and replace the pipe.  In the end, I think I'm going to avoid it altogether and go with a normal above ground downspout solution.  

Rooter has fast, reliable, honest service.  I'm going to call them again the next time I need a plumber.

Ejector pump was running more frequently and seemed like ground water was coming in. They quickly went over to the main sump pump which they realized had failed causing the water to look for another way out.

These guys are pros and the company was super quick to respond. What else can you ask for in a plumbing service?

Early Sunday morning my only toilet would not flush.  It's almost impossible to find a plumber on Sunday.  If you do, they charge outrageous fees.  Luckily
I came across the Good Guys.  Dominick came right out & quickly found out it was not an easy fix since it is an old house with very old pipes. The next day a he came out  & started the project.  Later the rest of the crew came out to help.  They worked all day & night finishing the major job.  They did a great clean up & was very fair & reasonable.  They worked very hard on an extremely tough job in a limited space.  If you want a job well done at a fair price, I extremely recommend the Good Guys.

This is about a loan they pushed on me two years ago, GreenSky. This is my fault: I should have paid it off while it was interest-free. However, the terms of that loan are so bad that minimum payments have increased my debt instead of decreasing it. They should never work with this service; it's predatory. What if I had no money and could not repay this loan in time, but the company pressured me to do this? This is how you trick people into massive debt.

Walter was great with helping us with our water heater issue. He diagnosed the problem and helped us contact the manufacturer to get the part since our unit was still under warranty. Highly recommend!
