That awful moment when you notice the water start to build up in the bathtub.  You think to yourself, It will start draining again, no worries.  But the worries do come and the tub does begin to fill with more and more water until your showers are now a bath for your feet and ankles.  Of course, everyone you talk to is a plumber.  Try a hanger. Try drain-o Try using an auger and a plunger.  We tried all of this remedies to no avail, only furthering our plight by filling up our bathtub with black ooze from the depths of hell.  I got off work tonight at 4:30.  I called Pat the plumber hoping a professional plumber who is well versed in the intricate cruelties of plumbing could save us.  By 6 pm our sink and tub were flowing better than ever.  

Thanks to Pat and Jeff, I can shed this stench that has plagued my body for the past few days(having the tub clog up on Christmas Eve was impeccable timing) and shower my body in delightful goodness.  Stop trying to do the plumbing yourself and get Pat the Plumber.  Guy is honest, fast and efficient with over 30 years of experience!

Well, fast is in the name for a reason. And they were friendly, we were made comfortable and given quick service. Our water heater was steaming and we were freaked it would blow but we felt confident after Jim came that we wouldn't need to fix a damaged roof when he was finished ha. They worked with our schedule and made sure everything was properly in order after the initial installation. Awesome job! Now i don't even need to boil water for my tea ;)

These folks really live up to their name. I had a newly purchased home and didn't know who to call when 2 of my 4 bathrooms had busted toilets & clogged pipes. I needed the works (new toilets and piping installed, sinks unclogged, new garbage disposal), and I knew it. But what I needed most was a company, and a professional, that I could trust. My friend Zach found these folks for me. Vincent was without a doubt a rescue plumber. And probably the most knowledgeable and assuring plumber I've ever worked with. I almost didn't want to recommend him & his partner Lobo. Because then they will just be busier the next time I call- and I'm definitely not calling anywhere else.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Definitely took the customer service to another level with that. Plus, the 10% coupon helped..

Scotty is still the best plumber in town!! He replaced the entire guts of both toilets in my condo. This included replacing both wax seals, bowl gaskets, tank bolts, and fill valve kits (contractor series since high rise condos require at least 80 PSI). He had to make two trips to a plumbing store and Home Depot since older toilets need a different size bowl gasket. Thankfully, he was able to find it in stock. In addition, he replaced both chrome p-trap kits under both bathroom sinks. Another great job by Scotty!

Rocket has saved me twice now. Once for an incorrectly installed dishwasher (not installed by Rocket!) and yesterday when my condo flooded due to a building plumbing issue that backed up into my unit. Yuck!  I called mid afternoon and they were able to send someone by 6pm.  Sam was able to come even sooner!  He was great - very thorough, left zero mess, and explained everything to me. I learned so much!  Sam even called the next morning to make sure everything was still ok. I'm so glad I trusted the yelp reviews and called Rocket!

Very quick and responsive.  Dave took the time to explain everything he was doing and answered all the questions we had.  He made sure he identified the problem and once identified, had a systematic plan of attack to resolve it.  I really liked how he explored all options to fix the issue without having to break open any walls or remove the toilet.  Other companies wanted to break open walls right away.  I definitely recommend working with Dave and will use them for routine maintenance services too!!

I wished I had known about Windy City Plumbing when my gas was turned off due to a leak.  However, it took a few days before I found them on Yelp.  Robert and Chris were sent over to evaluate the issue and they were both amazing.  They knew exactly what was needed and fixed the problem.  
Gas was turned back on that same day thanks to them.  
They both were extremely professional, knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions.  I would definitely be using Windy City Plumbing in the future.  Shout out to them both and Windy City Plumbing!!!

There aren't enough stars to provide an accurate rating for First Chicago Plumbing. I reached out with an immediate need, our water heater had decided to go out on one of the coldest days in chicago. The entire group of people was the most friendly and accommodating to work with. They had someone out within the same day, had the quote for the new unit within minutes of the site visit, and the new unit was installed within 48 hours. There were several follow ups from them after the installation making sure everything was working properly which was awesome! Everything was explained throughout the work that was being done. I cannot stress this enough, if you need a plumber in the city of chicago you have found them. Highly recommend this group!

Sound plumbing does great work. We've had Mitch over to the house for several different jobs and he is excellent. He's straight forward and explains everything. Terrific experience.

I have submitted a request for a quote from 5 plumbing companies on Yelp for unclugging Toilet and checking water pressure in the toilet for my tenants.  Jesus came out to be the most reasonable for the job. I got a message from my tenant saying Jesus came out the next morning and checked everything and said there is no clog and has tested the toilet and water pressure seemed ok.  He did not charge a penny. Said I didnt really do anything.  I am sure any other company would have charge a minimum fee to just come out.  He has got to be the most honest plumber I have ever met. I will definitely contact him again for any future plumbing needs.  THANK YOU JESUS.

The evening before my husband I went out of town we discovered water dripping in our basement, soaking our carpeting. We had no idea what to do and were hesitant to say the least about letting someone into our home while we were away. Kevin at Green Tech was recommeded very highly to us, and as we had to get the problem fixed, we  decided to go ahead and have him take a look while we were away.
Needless to say, MANY things could have gone wrong in this situation.  But to our delight and surprise, it was a small issue with the sump pump that took him less than an hour to fix. We were beyond grateful for his honesty, and for the fact that when we got home, the leak was fixed and the basement was as clean as we left it. He called us before he started working to let us know what the issue was, and as soon as he was finished to let us know he was leaving. I cannot say enough about how happy we were to work  with him, and he has most definitely earned both our trust and our future business.

couldn't even get this guy to commit to go out there. he suggested i contact the original installer......duh, i did which is why i contacted them.  No one wants to work these days.

I called Captain Rooter this morning and had someone out within a few hours within the time frame I told them I was available in. Adam A. was my technician and he was great! Found the problem quickly and made sure I was comfortable with what he needed to do to fix my issue.

Will call again and ask for Adam for any future plumbing issues.

My building had old cloth wire and a old panel that's been giving me issues. One evening (during the weekday) I lost power in two of my bedrooms. With a friend referral I called Darrell not knowing if he was available or had any time to pencil me in. Not only did he come but he traced down the root of the problem and he showed me issues that was with the Old Wiring. Unspliced arching out and etc. he installed new wires, new devices and trimmed out 2 of the bedrooms and installed two ceiling fans in a breeze with no issues. He was very professional and easy to work with!! Highly recommended!!

He replaced under kitchen sink drain pipe very happy with it he got all the material, done in one day..I'm glad a hired a professional than my bf lol got the job done right

We had a pipe leaking for days in a very tight space. Once we identified the leak, most plumbers stated they couldn't come out for days. CJ Plumbing was able to come out almost immediately and fix the problem despite the small space, I was worried they would have to cut into the drywall. I would highly recommend!

Quick same-day service to fix a toilet fill valve. Took a look around the house at a couple other potential issues and made some recommendations. Professional and would recommend!

Juan was very responsive. He explained the process to me and even went to buy a new toilet once we decided I needed a new one. He and his brother worked quickly and was very respectful of my home. I will definitely call them again when needed.

I don't write too many reviews but finding a good plumber you can use for life is impossible so I felt I should post this.  I have gone through a half dozen and I'm happy to say I finally found the Company I can count on and use as long as I live in Chicago land!   Recommended by a friend, I have used Five Plumbing on several occasions and all of the anxiety is out the window.  I would trust these guys to do work when I'm not there, it is done right the first time, everything is explained to you, they are realistic about what can and can't be done, and their prices are competitive.  I have gone the 'cheap' route several times and it does not work.  I have the 'redo' bills and water damage to prove it.  Stop reading, call them if you need some work done.
