The first time I called Drain-EEZ, Pat went out to one of my rental properties to check on a drain. After some initial inspections, the problem had seemed to work itself out and no work was needed. Considering that I don't live in the area, he could have very easily taken advantage of the situation and charged me for unnecessary work. I'm not sure how much others may charge for similar services but Pat's honesty convinced me that he's my go to guy for any future plumbing services.

Fastplumbing247 TO THE  Rescue! I have a multi unit building. Tenants are calling me that they have no hot water! When I saw the 5 star ratings on yelp I was concerned they would be so busy it would be a few day before they could come out to see the problem. Star #1 I was pleasantly surprised when I called I was Not speaking to an answering machine or an answering service.  Mac, I believe is the owner answered the call. Star # 2 He said he was able to come out to access the problem in two hours. Lo and behold I needed a new tank. Star #3 He was very professional,friendly and he had a company that was able to supply the right size tank to be delivered the next day. Star#4 He delivered on his promise. The tank was delivered at 8am and his crew came shortly after. Star#5 They worked diligently until it was up and running. Star #6 My tenants are happy and that makes me happy. Star#7 They will address all of kinds of plumbing. Fastplumbing 247, is the company to call look no further.

One of the most honest guy's I've met. I had an issue with a plumbing situation.  He took a look at it, came up with several solutions and proceeded to help in solving the problem, without breaking the bank.  He's a lifesaver in the pipe laying world.

Rocket Plumbing are one in a million - Marlon came to our rescue today to install a new water heater after ours broke suddenly and leaked all the way into the unit below!  After being referred to another plumber who wasn't sure when he could make it, I called Rocket and within 30 minutes Marlon was installing a new hot water heater.  Brian who answered my call was super helpful and helped me through what kind of heater we needed, the brand and answered all my questions.  He also arranged for a heater asap, just as the shop was closing.  When Marlon arrived, he was super informative, talked me though everything he was doing and even called an electrician for me at the end for some extra work we needed doing to our heater.  I couldn't recommend this company high enough, they are professional, quick, affordable and reliable.  I will never contact any other plumber now and will refer all my neighbors to them -thank you Marlon and Brian!

I had two different issues I was working on for my house.  The first issue was HVAC and the second was repairing pipes due to a recent valve replacement that resulted in diminished capacity.  In calling around for quotes I saw Windy City Plumbing and decided to call.

In talking to Jose, he mentioned an HVAC guy that was top notch. (Cernes Environmental) In calling them, they saved me thousands of dollars... defintely worth calling.

After getting Jose out to look at this job and describing my situation, he offerred a quote.  His approach is to give a Not to Exceed quote for work to be done.  It can come off as daunting, but he really does mean it.  If his quote is low, he absorbs the cost.  If the quote is high, he will reduce the actual billed.   This certainly is a start of what differentiates him from the rest.

He gave me a rough estimate and I'm looking forward to the paper estimate in the near future.

In the meantime, he came by to check another valve that another plumber had adjusted.  He found that the valve was not fully opened and that I no longer needed to do the multi-thousands of work.  This increases his trust value with me.

I'm looking forward to seeing the quote and seeing how we can work through getting the work done.

In late May First Chicago Plumbing replaced the faucets in two bathrooms and the kitchen and also replaced the diverter in the bathtub.  Eugene and the gentleman with him (I don't recall his name) were very professional and very nice.  Eugene took the time to explain everything to me and answered any questions I had, even after the job was completed.  Eugene even checked on our hot water heater and gave us an estimate to replace it when the time comes (which will likely be in the next few months!)  He will definitely be the person I call!!  I highly recommend First Chicago Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

I live in Berwyn so I wasn't sure if Kevin would want to come out to the southwest side to do work. It was no problem for him and he came and replaced my old, leaky toilet. He was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous and even hauled away my old toilet so that I didn't have to deal with discarding it. While he was here, he was happy to look at other areas of my house that I'm having issues with. I'll most certainly hire him again!

I called last minute during the weekend with a bad and difficult kitchen sink clogged problem, they sent a technician to my apartment in an hour and also found a broken pipe and replaced it.

Great service and communication during the whole process. I appreciate their service and will definitely use their service again in the future.

I just used Green Tech for the first time for a leaking outside faucet after getting a recommendation from a neighbor and reading the reviews on Yelp.I have always had a hard time finding decent plumbers that can come on relatively short notice, on time and on budget. In this case I could not wait long because of the cold weather (certainly don't want a pipe to burst!) They showed up on time and rectified the problem quickly. Moreover, they gave some great advise regarding some other plumbing issues that we are having.

Had a kitchen sink clog well past the P-trap that I spent hours trying to fix myself with several trips to the hardware store.  Danny and Alex came out the next day and fixed it without an issue.  Very friendly people and did a great job, cleaned up the water and junk that came out of the pipes so I didn't have to ruin my towels doing it myself.  Also very reasonably priced compared to other quotes.

Thanks again!  You'll have my business again next time (hopefully won't need a next time though!)

Awful experience. Worker came to the home and tried to install a new sump pump for $2000 - when they were asked to leave the home they became irate. I got $200 off of the work done to my home - but even w the discounted service I would not recommend

I am doing a total bath/laundry room reno that involves adding multiple sinks, adding light fixtures, moving all conduit and plumbing in a wall, moving outlets, new shower valve, new washer pan, dryer outlet, etc.  First, the company's website asks you to fill out a form describing your job, then just tells you to call their number to describe it again and schedule an estimate, which seemed like a waste of time.  But I called, and Darrell told me he'd get in touch with me Thursday to schedule a visit on Friday.  Finally at 9:30pm on Thursday he told me he'd be there between 2:30-3:30 on Friday.  Friday I took time off work and waited, finally texting him at 3:48 to ask if he was still coming.  He responded that he was on the way.  At 4:28 I asked for an ETA, and he told me he was behind and no longer coming, and when he'd said he was on the way he'd thought I was someone else.  After taking time off work and waiting two hours, I was pretty upset, but still politely told him that I would've appreciated a heads up earlier that he wasn't coming instead of making me sit there waiting for two hours.  Obviously if I hadn't texted him he had no intention of ever reaching out to me to let me know, and he has absolutely zero regard for a potential customer's time.  But instead of being apologetic, he was demeaning and insulting, saying I can send you a $5 Starbucks card as an apology.  Comes across as *extremely* childish and unprofessional, when you have blown someone off, wasted their time, and cost them money taking time off work, to dismissively offer them $5.  I would even understand if I was wasting his time asking for a light bulb to be changed, but this was a relatively big job.  My architect told me some contractors are sexist and probably treated me that disrespectfully because I'm a woman, but it's also possible Darrell is just that rude to everyone.  Based on his reviews that seem to be mostly about changing light fixtures or fixing leaks, I also wonder if his team is just not equipped for a job of this size so he blew it off, but it also would have been polite to simply say that up front instead of scheduling a consult he had no intention of showing up for.

Definitely not someone I would trust to show up for a job, do it competently, or treat me and my home with respect.

(And just in case he attempts to claim the offer of a $5 Starbucks card was not an insult but an attempt at a sincere apology and simply the best he can afford, he obviously never sent one, lol.)

Edit in response to his reply:  1) Weird that you claim a total remodel is small for you but all your reviews are for replacing light fixtures. 2) Yes we all have bad days, but it still takes under a minute to let a customer know you are having a bad day and won't make it. We could've rescheduled if you'd had the respect to do that. Please explain why you made no effort to notify me.
3) Congratulations on your binders full of women; like I said, I'm also totally open to the possibility you're rude to all genders. That was just my architect's guess.  4) You have all of my contact information, I gave three days before leaving a review, and you still have not reached out to apologize or send any of these cheap regifted gift cards you keep promising, so do not publicly pretend the offer is sincere.  5) How is it odd to let you know blowing me off had actual consequences for me, and a heads up would've been nice?

I called because we have a spigot on the front of the house that has just a trickle of water.  A spigot, you know, that connects to a pipe in your house through a wall, that you connect your garden house to.  I wanted it evaluated so that I can use it water the front yard, but more importantly to make sure a leak wasn't causing the lack of water pressure.  The woman I spoke to originally said they only do indoor plumbing.  Huh?  Did she think we had a clog in our outhouse? I explained the plumbing for all of this is indoors, and runs through the wall for use with a garden hose. Come on, every house has these.  She said she'd talk to the plumber, and then called back to say the manager said they don't do that kind of work. They don't evaluate pipes with limited flow that may possibly be caused by a  leak.  Good to know. Guess they'd be called a boutique shop, with such limited service.  Or just a really bad plumbing service.

My parents are elderly and have a hard time keeping up with their house. I was visiting from out of state last week and noticed that their bathtub drain wasn't working. I did a little research and knew it would be an involved process, and worried that they might be taken advantage of.  After reading some online reviews, I called CJ Plumbing. They asked a bunch of questions and had me send photos before providing an estimate, and were in close contact as we scheduled the work. Lenny came out exactly on time and was so efficient that they charged less than we expected! That's a first, and it gives me peace of mind to know they have a trustworthy plumber.

Highly recommend Mike! He was great at communication, texted updates & arrived when he said he was going to. Wore a mask the entire time. We had a laundry list of issues - leaking faucet, replacement of shut off valves, wax ring replacement on one of our toilets, etc. He had a cancellation & was able to come back & take care of all our issues the same day. He also fixed minor things we didn't think to ask about (& he didn't charge extra for these fixes) - fixed water pressure, secured a wiggly knob on our sink, etc. He did the work quickly & left our place tidy & clean. So happy we found Mike!

Had a backed up ejector pump that was causing backups in the furnace runoff...Juan contacted me immediately and first of the projects I set out to bid and happy to see he was highly recommended...he came out in less than 12 hours and was able to address the issue and took great care of installing a new pump that should last much longer than the cheap plastic one that failed.  Really happy with the outcome and no more issues
