Our water heater started expelling water on a Thursday evening. I called around & got any number of estimates. I ended up getting in touch with Fastplumbing247 around 6a Friday morning. We were able to be fit into their schedule around other appointments so by 7:30a my water heater was being drained. After a trip to another previously scheduled appointment my old unit was being removed, the new unit installed & we were able to shower by 1p. Making this experience even better, the price I was charged for the same unit being quoted by others was anywhere between $500-$1,000 less. I'd highly recommend. (I attempted to upload a photo of the unit, but Yelp isn't cooperating at the moment)

Rescue is a perfect name for this company.  I had a mess in my kitchen, clogged pipes, leaky pipe under sink, leaky faucet.  I called them and was able to obtain Mario immediately.  He showed me the problems and explained what he would need to do.  He gave me a clear and firm price and an approximate length of time it would take to do the job.  He finished the job sooner then expected and he showed me all that he did.  He had me test everything and he did not leave until he knew I was completely satisfied.  Mario was very personable and professional.  I will be happy to recommend this Plumbing service and Mario anytime to anyone.

We noticed water leaking from our garbage disposal on Sunday evening and contacted Scott based on his Yelp reviews. He responded quickly and made time for us with short notice. He asked great questions and for pics of the sink ahead of time so he was prepared with all the replacement parts right away. He was fast, professional and gave great recommendations for improving the safety of the wiring to our disposal. I'm so glad we hired him, Scott will definitely be our go-to for any future needs!

I was doing a project for my folks since they were out of town. I was refreshing their main bathroom. Nothing hugely laborious. New faucet for the bathroom sink which I replaced myself successfully.

I needed help with the shower/bath faucet replacement. The faucet was over 25 years old and was incredibly tight.  I was afraid of breaking something by forcing too hard. My folks were returning the next afternoon.  I asked for a quote on the phone but they wouldn't give me one. I was desperate so I let them come figuring it would be ok and I wanted to use a neighborhood company.  

All I wanted was to replace the tub spout and handle (and the shower head neck if they could loosen it since I installed a hand shower.). The staff wouldn't even try to look at the faucet I had purchased to see that it was standard thread without replacing the other parts that exist behind the wall.  

Instead they charged me $437 to use their parts to swap out the spout, handle and shower head neck which included labor.  I find this incredibly high. Don't get me wrong, the work was good and accomplished what I needed to but swapping out a faucet shouldn't cost close to $450.

I purposely didn't have them go behind the wall. I just wanted the spout and handle replaced since they were leaking really bad from age.  If you're in a rush at the last minute, they will get the job done but be prepared to shell out hard earned dough. I mentioned that I found them on Yelp but never got a discount.

I will join the chorus of praise for Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals. All I can say is that I wish I would have called them first! I have a 115-yr-old house that was having horrible sewer gas issues as well as clogged drum traps in several of the bathrooms. The first company I called out blamed the sewer gas on broken traps in the basement floor and I spent a small fortune having those fixed. Then, when the smell kept coming, I called out a different company and they said there was no way to fix my problem without totally cutting out the old underground plumbing and rebuilding all of it (which would have cost a large fortune). Finally, I found Chicago Sewer and Drain based on their positive Yelp reviews. They responded immediately and came out the next day. They diagnosed the problem using a really high-quality scope which found tree roots and other blockage in the main line to the sewer. They cleaned it out using a hydrojet and then fixed the clogged drum traps quickly without causing any damage to them (which is tough). All of this for a very reasonable price! Unfortunately, the smell in the house came back the next day. I called them and they offered to come back out the same day. They scoped the pipes under the house and found that those were also clogged, so they hydrojetted the entire system under the house. To my surprise, they did this for no additional charge! The smell is gone now! Everyone on the crew was also very professional, worked quickly, explained everything, and was careful while in my home (took of shoes, asked me before they moved things, etc.). I will certainly call Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals whenever I have any plumbing needs in the future.

Chris and Julio were AWESOME. They were super courteous and friendly, which is not always a given these days. I called this company to investigate a leak at the base of our toilet -- typically an issue with the wax seal. However, almost instantly they figured out that the leak was from a shoddy renovation job a couple years ago (different contractor); they then fixed it on the spot. This basically saved us from potentially having water leak into the neighbors below us... and all for a very fair price. Highly recommended -- save yourself the time and hassle of shopping around and just give these guys a call.

I am very happy with the service from AP Construction. They are very professional and worked very quickly to repair all the plumbing issues I had with my bathroom. I will definitely call them again for future plumbing work for my upcoming projects.

Kevin from GreenTech helped me out of a jam last week. He talked me through cleaning off the thermal sensor to my water heater to try to get it running again. When that didn't get it started he talked me through getting a new FV sensor and trouble shooting that. I ended up getting the water heater started and Kevin helped me through the whole process. And didn't charge me a dime. The next plumbing project that I have is going straight to this honest business man. You should do the same.

Connected with Mike to try to get quotes for our HOA. Sent a video of the issue, but he would not provide quotes for issues without coming in person and charged a fee to come for a quote. It is possible that he was frustrated by some of the text messages I was saying and that our HOA would not pay for him to come for a quote, which is his company's usual protocol. When I asked for referrals to another plumber when he would not provide any additional quotes, he would not supply any additional plumber company contacts. I was very disappointed with his communication and will never reach out to this company again.

We called for a leak in our kitchen sink and within a few hours Adam was here fixing our leak and blockage, he was super professional, friendly and worked fast. He was able to asses the problem within a matter of minutes and got straight to it. Honestly, glad we found him.

I had an outdoor post light in the front yard that didn't work. Anel arrived on time. He was professional and explained what he was doing. After a bit of trouble shooting, he efficiently replaced the outlet and switch. I now have light on a very dark street.

While not a major repair, my overall experience with Sims & Sons was great and I would definitely use them for bigger jobs. Super responsive as well.

Trust! I think trust is most important in choosing an expert to fix a problem. Of course experience, knowledge, ability and integrity are also needed. But trusting the reviews written by others or trusting the recommendation of a friend is sometimes all we have to go by. I had a clogged drain about 15 feet downstream from my kitchen sink. It was the result of overzealous use of the garbage disposal. I tried snaking the drain myself but the clog was too big (turns out about 2 feet of drain was totally blocked). I did research on several websites looking for a plumber in my area who I could trust to do the work right - at a fair price. I narrowed the list to 4 companies. At 7:15 PM on a weekday I called each of them. I got two answering services that could not answer any of my technical questions, another said they would have someone call me back in a few minutes (never happened) and then there was Dmitry. Dmitry is one of the owners of CJ Plumbing. He answered the phone himself. He was able to discuss my issue intelligently, explain the likely scenarios and give me an estimated price range (min and max) for the job. It was clear from his questions and his input that he understood the problem and knew the likely solutions. As it turns out, he was absolutely correct about the issue and what it would take to fix it. I wanted to consider what he said before making a commitment. He said I could call him back anytime in the next few hours. I called several hours later and again he answered the phone and we scheduled a visit for the following afternoon.

The plumber who showed up (not the person I spoke to) was a delight to work with. He was professional, polite, and patient as he answered my many questions. He tried a few easy options to fix the problem (e.g. using a powered drain snake). When those did not work he said the best option was to cut out the clogged section of drain (which he had located) and replace it with a new section of pipe. The clogged part of the pipe included two 90 degree bends. He removed that section and replaced the sharp bends with pairs of 45 degree bends to allow waste to pass through the more easily. The drain pipe ran along the ceiling of my unfinished basement so there was direct access to the pipe. After replacing the section of pipe he verified that there were no leaks and cleaned up the area of the basement where he worked as well as the area under the kitchen sink. He even cleaned the sink.  

I was VERY pleased with his work and with his personality. The cost of the repair was within the range quoted on the phone (though near the higher end). My trust in CJ Plumbing was rewarded by their performance and their honesty. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to friends and family. I recommend them to YOU.

We love Mike The Plumber and highly recommend him.  He just assisted us with two small plumbing problems at our new house in Rogers Park.  He was so pleasant to work with, fixed the issues quickly, fixed a few other issues in the process, recommended some changes, and was so reasonable in his price.   He also loves dogs, and took time to pet and play with our two pups in the back yard.  Mike is now our go to plumber, and I suspect our pups will be trying to clog our pipes so that Mike gets a call to come back.

A friend tried to help us fix a water filter issue and inadvertently caused a leak that made the kitchen unusable so we needed to call a plumber as an emergency that could be dealt with immediately. Juan & coworker assessed what was needed and were able to do a repair quickly and at reasonable price. While they were fixing it they noticed a problem with dishwasher hook up done by prior owners likely as a DIY job as it was done incorrectly (hazard). They went to buy a part, and came back and did that in the same visit. 100% recommend.

Great experience. He responded on a Saturday evening in 15 mins. Then, when we called back weeks later for another remodel issue he found a way to fix our problem over the phone.
