We've used Drain-EEZ twice now over the span of about 9 months.
First time, Lou came out and replaced our garbage disposal. It definitely wasn't one of the cheaper quotes that we got when calling around, but they did a stellar job - and Lou took a lot of pride in his work. He was professional and polite - and very friendly.
More recently, we tried to call Drain-EEZ to fix a leaky tub faucet. They were slammed all week with frozen pipes, so we called around to some other places. I had someone come over from My Helpful Plumber and he said that the water shut-off valve in our condo was broken, so he couldn't fix our faucet.. and it would cost A LOT of money to fix the valve. Dang. Just what we needed. Well, the frozen pipe issue got to them too, and we never got our faucet fixed.
Fast forward to 2 weeks later and we called Drain-EEZ again. I sent them some pics of the water shut off, and Pat said that it didn't look broken - that maybe the handle was loose. They came on a Saturday to check it out.. and guess what? ... the valve wasn't broken at all. Lou turned the handle and told me to check the water. Stopped right away. Don't know why I didn't think to do this myself, but just goes to show how little common sense I have sometimes. Lou could've said, yea... this thing is super broken - we will need to have it fixed, but NO - instead he was honest. Something that not very many people are in this line of work. Building trust is so important for small businesses, and they've earned ours for life.
So Lou fixed our tub faucet and was a pleasure to work with again.
If you're looking for the cheapest plumber, Drain-EEZ is not it. But you get what you pay for in life - and we'd rather pay a little more for honest, reliable service, than pay a little less for some sketchy plumber who's only after our money. Katrina is also really friendly and easy to work with on the phone. It's nice to deal with nice people.
We would recommend this business to all of our friends and neighbors. They know what they're talking about and make sure to do their jobs the right way - not the easy way.

Great service. Our water heater pilot would not work. Called and Mac was at our place within the hour. He suggested we replace as it was 10 years old and was rusted. We agreed and the new water heater was installed two hours later. They hauled away the old one. And we had hot water. I cannot overstate the great service and how quickly it got done. Very professional helpful and friendly.

The plumber, Pete, was polite, punctual and personable. He replaced a broken shower cartridge in our condo. Pete was conscientious about returning calls and texts. He and his son, who was helping, left the bathroom area as clean as they found it. My only reservation is that the price seemed high, at least compared to online estimates for the job, and their bill did not include an itemized cost list of the parts. That said, Rescue Plumbing was able to get the work done in a reasonable time frame so perhaps that's worth the higher price.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Definitely took the customer service to another level with that. Plus, the 10% coupon helped..
Thank you

I had an issue with my kitchen sink backing up with food which clearly was not from my unit. I had one plumbing company come in and rod it out and when it didn't work too well they quit and left. We never heard from them again.
I called Rocket Plumbing after that and they also rodded out my sink line. That initially worked but the kitchen sink starting backing up again a couple of days later. I called Brian (the owner) and he said that maybe the rodding didn't work too well and we needed to hydro jet the sink line. I called a couple of other companies to compare Brian's quote for the hydro jetting and he was in the ballpark with the others so I decided to go back to him for the job. He came in with his nephew and the hydro jetting machine and they were here hydro jetting for a couple of hours (we decided to just go ahead and hydro jet 3 other lines in our building as well). Brian and his nephew were great!
Unfortunately a couple of days later the kitchen sink starting backing up again so I called back Brian. He found it odd so he suggested we camera the line to see what was going on. Brian doesn't own the camera equipment so he was very honest with me about how much it was going to cost him to rent the equipment and how much he would charge for labor. He came in a couple of days later, video recorded the line and he found what the problem was, the building sink line was back pitched so everything from the units above me was coming down, hitting the back pitch and them coming back up in my kitchen sink. Brian sent me the recorded video and everything which was pretty cool.
So then Brian said we had to go to my basement, open up the ceiling and fix the buildings back pitched sink line. His quote for this job was fairly high but seeing how great a job he had done with everything else and that he knew exactly where the issue was, I decided to go with him. He said it would take two of his men 8 hours to complete the job. The guys came in for the job, it took both of them 5.5 hours and he adjusted the quote down for me based on the fact it took them less.
Needless to say, the problem is now completely gone and we are extremely happy to not have to deal with it any more. Brian is a great professional and I still text him for other stuff to this day. Thanks again Brian!

We had water coming through our living room from a second floor bathroom on Saturday afternoon. We called several plumbers who promised to call back and never did. Chicago Sewer and Drain answered the phone and scheduled to have someone come out within a couple of hours. David arrived early, figured out the problem and took care of it. They were very professional and we'll be using them in the future. Highly recommend.

Jose is very accomodating, reasonable, and competent. Everything one wants in a plumber.
I had to replace the trap under my bathroom sink, a cramped space with ancient plumbing. I attempted the repairs myself, even bought the replacement parts at my local hardware store, but gave up about halfway through the job. I called Jose because of a review I read on yelp. We tried to make an appointment for that day, but Jose could not make it. He came the next day, given a one hour window when my wife would be home, and completed the repairs, using the parts I had purchased. Another plumber would have charged me 10 times for parts alone. Jose even gave me a discount because he had cancelled our first appointment! Incredible.
I would recommend this guy to anyone who asked. He's getting all my plumbing work from now on. I almost hope something else breaks because he's just so damn pleasant.

Great service so far. Asked them out late to fix a shower and said they could come back to care of a few other issues but they just took care of pretty much everything. Guys were efficient, courteous and appeared to do good work.

Jesus was awesome. We've had a smell coming from our toddler's bath for 2+ years. It's new construction and no plumber has been able to determine the cause. Jesus arrived for a no-cost assessment. Jesus knows his stuff and immediately ruled out the usual culprits (blocked vent, missing p-trap, etc.)
Jesus was unsure of the cause (like every other plumber we have asked) and provided a fair estimate to break into the drywall and investigate. Before doing so, he gave us one last cheap/easy solution to try. He recommended letting CLR sit in the drain for an extended period of time. Low and behold, this recommendation seems like it might have worked. We've tried plenty of different drain cleaners (bleach, vinegar, etc.) and none of them worked. Somehow CLR seems to have fixed things up (fingers crossed). I can't find a single recommendation of this CLR method online, so it's not like Jesus was telling us something that is widely know.
You should feel comfortable hiring Jesus. He was quick, super-responsive, and honest. He provided us advice that didn't provide him any revenue, but ultimately created a long-time customer for all our future plumbing needs.

I have used Green Tech on 4 occasions in the last few years. Kevin is attentive, quick to respond and tells it like it is. They have done slow drain servicing for me, they have come to my immediate rescue on a main line plug that created a backup, and most recently they shot a camera down my main line and determined that I had a 60 year old connection from my home to the city main that was broken and causing washout causing my patio to sink. Kevin was there within an hour and then quickly dispatched Nick and Mike to come and dig up and repair the problem within 4 hours. Unreal! I, like many homeowners, dread the need to call in professionals for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing because we are predisposed to the notion of getting ripped off.
NOT with these guys. These guys are TOP SHELF and I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality, competent , and competitive work. Bar None.
Thanks Green Tech ,,,,, once again,.

I had a clogged sump pump that needed attention. I called one highly rated company who told me that it could not be repaired but that I would instead need a new $2700 Zolar pump job. I'm glad that I called Captain for a second opinion. Andrew came out and quickly assessed the situation, fixed the problem and only charged me $250!!! He was honest and never up sold me. Many companies take advantage of single women but Andrew did not. I will forever be a loyal customer as a result. Thanks Andrew, you're awesome!!

Actually it was not a crack in our chimney as I told you repeatedly. It just had to be sealed where the water heater is attached to the ceiling. Green Tech Plumbing fixed it yesterday. If you don't know how to properly install a hot water heater, I suggest you learn. As far as ever contacting you again for services, don't worry.

The toilet tank had a corroded bolt that was crumbling, causing a leak. I called CJ Plumbing & Heating at 9am, was scheduled for a technician by 10am, Lenny arrived around noon, and by 2pm the whole thing was fixed. I couldn't have asked for better service, clearer communication, or a more pleasant experience all around. Highly recommmend!

I have a tenant in Rogers Park and needed someone who would be able to go to the tenant and take care of a clogged sink. (I do not live near enough to be able to head over on short notice myself.) Mike responded to my request almost immediately, we talked on the phone and I provided him with all the information I thought would be helpful. He gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to schedule an appointment with my tenant and handle everything that needed to be done. The job was not too small for him! So grateful that he was able to come out and handle this for me and quickly! My tenant said that Mike was an awesome dude and everything is now running smoothly. We both greatly appreciate his service!

Responded promptly, identified and repaired the issue with my tenant's water heater and the job was done within 3 hours of my first phone call. I called late in the afternoon and still got same-day service which was helpful because two plumbers cancelled on me and if someone didn't come that day, my tenant would have been without hot water for over 24hrs.

Noel from Five Plumbing was phenomenal. Noel spent three hours on Saturday evening fixing our bathtub drain. He was extremely knowledgable and diligent in fixing our issue. I would recommend Five Plumbing to all my friends and family.
