Though they don't repair water heaters any longer, they took considerable time with me over the phone to walk me through a temporary solution and steer me in the direction of a competing business that would be ultimately be able to perform the permanent repairs I was looking for.

I made a Yelp profile just so I could post this review, in which I can't even describe all the things that upset me about Mac's time as our building handyman and still keep under the character limit. I can't think of another experience I've had that was this negative in the service sector.

At first, I was happy with the level of responsiveness/service that Mac was providing (through my landlord) and he seemed like a nice enough guy. However, for a basic leak above my shower that had caused the ceiling to start bowing downward and in his words This whole thing is about to come down, it took him over a month and a half to fix/seal it. I kept checking in regularly and had to keep nagging him to come back and finish so there would not be a big hole in my bathroom ceiling. Rather than waiting another couple of weeks for him to get around to painting, I just did it myself.

About this time, I also followed up with him for at least the 5th time about some window latches that he had told me he was ordering 2+ months prior. I expressed my frustration that he still had not gotten around to this, because it seemed like a simple task, and he mentioned that he just had to order them. He came back saying It's Sunday I work 16hr a day 6 days a week I'm tryin to spend time with my family text me tomorrow if I like. Sentence structure and punctuation aside, I was able to walk to a hardware store, check if there were any compatible latches for my window, and install all of the ones that were broken in less than 35 minutes... It's pretty ironic that a service called FastPlumbing247 took nearly 2 months to not even finish a project that could have been done in 2 days. Maybe he doesn't like his family, could explain why simple tasks take that long.

Had a pipe leak and the team at Rescue was able to make the repair within 24hrs of my call. Logan and his partner were very professional, taking the time to explain the issue and the needed repair. Would definitely use them again.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Definitely took the customer service to another level with that. Plus, the 10% coupon helped..

Great service at a great price! We had an issue with our garbage disposal and a back up in the plumbing. Scotty fixed the issue quickly and we haven't had any issues since!

This was my first time I ever used a plumber, usually I try to take care of the problem myself. Unfortunately after renting a sewer snake/rod, trying to fix the problem for several hours, with my sewer slowly backing up, I called Rocket Plumbing. I spoke to Brain who was very helpful,polite, and quick to helping me.

Tony, who I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, was sent over to help. He was very knowledgeable and gave me great advice about the maintenance of my sewer problem. Being very stressed out with my sewer problem, Tony was very reassuring to fixing the problem, along with his great sense of humor.

I needed someone there as an emergency and Rocket Plumbing was there. I will definitely use their services again and recommend them to everyone.

I had water backing up in my basement in Pilsen area and needed help quickly. I put a request on Yelp that sent to 7 different companies and these guys responded under 2 minutes it was crazy fast. David came out the next day and had to trouble shoot a few things because I have an odd setup in my basement. He figured it out fairly quickly after some conversation with his manager and they ended up having to hydrojet my pipes because we use too many flushable wipes. (Ladies and gentlemen learn from us those wipes are NOT flushable. Well they flush they just don't break up as easily as toilet paper) I really appreciated the fact that David took the time to explain that to us. We aren't plumbers and just go about our days. He sees this Sh!+ (pun intended) on a daily basis so to hear what caused the issue has already changed our bad habits. David fixed the issue and even came back the next day with his manager to make sure it was all good for us. I will use Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals again. Hopefully not too soon but will recommend to family and friends.

Another HuGE note here is I have had plumbing issues in the past because I had a bad contractor so had to have things rechecked and redone the right way. In the past I have always felt bamboozled or swindled by having to purchase something more or felt as though the issue was bigger then it really was and therefore cost more money then originally quoted. I can tell you I didn't feel taken advantage of Infact I felt the price was extremely fair here for how quickly they responded and had my issue rectified.

Jose and team really do a great job ensuring their work is meeting the customer's needs, informing of potential future problem spots, and charging very reasonable rates.

It may sound a little generic, but these guys have been super-helpful and I would whole-heartedly recommend them!

P.S. they're always on time for appointments (yes, I have a lot of old house piping issues) and that's a huge plus!

We had a great experience with First Chicago Plumbing. They gave an estimate ahead of time based on a photo we sent them and arrived with everything needed to fix our 2 plumbing issues. The price was reasonable, and Eugene was very professional and efficient.

I have been far from the most active member of the Yelp community.  But today I had the pleasure of connecting with Kevin at Sound Plumbing and felt moved to say a few kind words.  As most of you know, it's generally miserable to deal with contractors when things go wrong in your home.  You don't know where to start, you don't know who to trust, and you feel like everyone is giving you bad information.  We had some pretty bad water coming from around the shower and had Kevin take a look.  Kevin helped get to the bottom of the issue, and quickly identified the 'real' problem, even if it wasn't a problem that resulted in much (or even any) plumbing work for him personally.  I'm appreciative for people like Kevin that have such professionalism.  And while I hope for no future plumbing issues that require his services, if they do arrive I know where to go.

Although Jesus is friendly and punctual, he didn't meet my needs. Had a water drain that was clogged and was causing a leak with the AC working on the hot days. He came quickly but was not able to fix the leak after 45mins.  He said that he might need to open the wall bc his snake was getting stuck somewhere down the line!! He wanted to charge me $200 (of the $250 he quoted to fix the issue). I refused to pay that for an unfinished job, but I did paid him $100. I regret doing that bc the next day I got another plumber who said that if he couldn't fix it with a snake after 1 hour, there was no charge. The next plumber fixed it in 30 minutes.

GreenTech did a great job installing a flood control system at my house. They explained everything, we're professional, and honest. System  is running well. I can now sleep well at night knowing I won't get anymore sewer back up. Many thanks to Kevin & the green Tec crew. Danny and team did a very good job. Mike the owner was very pleasant and nice They are very knowledgeable and skilled in this field. I had to get the rodding and hydro jetting service and they did an excellent job. I would definitely hire them again for all my plumbing needs. Thanks again Danny, Mike and Jose!

We had an emergency plumbing issue with our gas pipe. Manny and Brandon came out and worked through the night. The were determined to stay until the job was complete. They did an awesome job and the price was amazing!

I had a burning smell coming from my electrical box and they responded immediately! Darrell was so professional and explained everything to help me understand the repairs and work needing to be done. I really appreciated his overall professional and impressively fast skills. He's someone i will be using for future projects and recommend to all my friends.

Hristo from ABV plumbing showed up on time as promised. He had a mask and a pair of bootie to cover his shoes. We weren't able to use the kitchen sink for exactly 1 week which was so inconvenient. He worked so hard to open the drain that the previous company couldn't resolve. He used a 50 ft cable to open the drain. He was so patient and kept cool the whole time. I'm so happy that we now have a working kitchen sink again. I woupd strongly recommend using them again. Thank you so much. Great job Hristo!!!

The best, most efficient plumber I have ever used. We had several longstanding issues we had fixed while disconnecting our plumbing for a foundation repair. We decided to kill many birds with one stone and we're extremely happy we did, the work these guys do is immaculate. The coordination and timing was very helpful with our particular situation as someone was coming home in the middle of all of this from a prescheduled chemotherapy treatment, great customer service all around. As a side note I would never trust someone that my dog didn't like and our dog wanted to leave with Dmitry....like we weren't even here.

I had a rocky toilet that was supposedly fixed by Chicagoland Handyman in June of 2022, but five months later the rocking was back. I searched for a plumber to fix this unsteady toilet once and for all. I called Mike the Plumber. He was able to come out the next day and was able to to stabilize my toilet. Mike the Plumber was very nice as he explained what the problem was and what he was going to do to fix it. He said if the rocking comes back (which it won't) he will tend to it. I will definitely call Mike the Plumber for any future plumbing issues in my old building. Thank you Mike!

I had a leak in my water heater and put a request on Yelp for a plumber. Juan was the first to respond and gave me a quote over the phone. 30 minutes later, he was at my house doing a hands-on inspection. He came back the next morning with a new water heater. He noticed that some of the pipes attached to the old heater were out of code, so he replaced them at the original price he quoted over the phone, even though the job took much longer than expected.
he noticed a small gas leak coming out of the area where the gas shutoff valve was and he replaced that as well. There was an extra charge, but I was happy to pay it.
I was very impressed with Juan's responsiveness, professionalism and price. I feel like I got more than what was expected for a lot less than I expected to pay. I highly recommend A & Y Plumbing

We had a clogged sink and could not get the water in either basin to drain. Noel was at our place with in 45 minutes and it took care of our problem in no time.  Very helpful and a nice person.  If we need services again, Noel will be getting the call.
