Please forgive me in advance - the assistance I received from Pat of Drain-EEZ today requires nothing short of waxing poetic or rhapsodic praise.  If nothing, I need to just full post appreciation for everything.

A few things, my house is a gut rehab house, the shell is 1890's but the inside is all 2012. However, we've had a weird run with the new plumbing and already had to get to know plumbers on a first name basis. There was flooding in September 2012, pipes freezing in the Polar Vortex of 2013, toilet replacement in the master bath, and etc so we developed a relationship with a plumber and were pretty happy with his work despite his poor phone call return rate.

Our basement toilet has been turned off for MONTHS - because that's what our plumber had recommended IF we couldn't replace it with a higher grade of toilet (he quoted us $650) since in his mind FIXING this inferior toilet (plumbers thoughts not ours) was only a temporary solution. Since we were dealing with leakage on a 4th bathroom (that we never use) that necessitated replacement and with baby bills and an at-the-time out-of-work spouse, 3 other working toilets, and etc we prioritized accordingly and just shut off the water flow.

Long backstory short, I called Drain-EEZ today because I wanted to talk with someone who answered my calls and get my toilet working again. (Mind you this is only after calling former Plumber #1 1x a day for 3 business days trying to get some variation of his recommended fix accomplished),

Pat picked up immediately, and on listening to everything, gave me his mobile number and told me to text him pictures and he'd call me back, saying this may not necessitate us coming out.  If someone's handy they might be able to fix.  Who does that?  Seriously, I find this amazing to a degree I can't even explain.  

I went downstairs, took 3 pictures, texted him and he called back immediately. He walked me through the fix, he stayed on the phone to ensure the fix work, I started CRYING and THEN he talked me through that. I'm usually not a crier but the generosity of a professional who wouldn't take money just because it's easy pickings is a concept that is so honest to goodness rare.

I've been unemployed for 4 months, am planning my daughter's 2nd birthday party, and was concerned because I definitely was going to be paying the $650 the previous plumber quoted to replace a toilet (if I ever got a hold of him).  I can NOT say enough how grateful I am for good people like Pat.

Considering the luck we've had with our plumbing I will be utilizing him often and sincerely look forward to the day when I hand him my cash, check or credit card because I know he'll be better than fair. He'll be good and his work will be excellent.

Our water heater broke during the first cold front in October. We contacted Fastplumbing247 and Jim came by and said he'd take care of it. He drained our water heater and never came back. He also ghosted subsequent calls and texts. It was unprofessional and we wasted time waiting for a return call/text when we could've been contacting other plumbers.

Rescue Plumbing to the rescue again! We have had Victor and his helpers out to our house twice this month to take care of a leak under our sink and a new faucet install. Both times, the guys were amazing. They explained the issues thoroughly, went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of, and gave us excellent advice about things we can do moving forward. They were super quick & efficient and even friendly with our kids. What a joy it is to FINALLY find plumbers we can trust and who are so responsive. Thanks again, Rescue Plumbers!

I needed the valve on my water line under the kitchen sink replaced because it was a saddle valve that is no longer code and was also corroded; I couldn't shut the water off and needed a new fridge installed.
Messaged Rocket through Yelp and they got back to me within the hour. They gave me a quote online after I described the job and sent them pics, no need to send anyone out. The quote might have been a bit high at $409, but it was extremely easy and convenient and they had a $49 off coupon. The other six companies I contacted said they flat out couldn't/wouldn't do the job or it would take two weeks before someone could come by for a quote which would cost a dispatch fee.
Dan came by and did a great job replacing the valve. It's been a few weeks and no leaks and the fridge was successfully installed.
Rocket Plumbing is great and I would definitely use again.

If you are looking for plumbers, just call these guys. They are the best you can get! No worries because they are very responsible for their job. I remodeled my entire condo in the past few months and I had too many contractors. I have to say Jose and his team are the best among them all! They are the best because they are very responsible for their works. As we all know, contractors make mistakes sometimes. So do they. However, Jose responded quickly! He came to fix the problem on the next day. Additionally, their price is fair. I had many quotes from other companies that were much more expensive than them. I don't know how well those other companies can do according to their prices but I do know they cannot beat Jose and his team for sure. Jose will always make you satisfied and he never gives up on his customers. What else do you expect from your contractors? Save yourself some time and stop hesitating.  just call them! You won't regret for this choice!

I live in Bucktown now - not Orland Park.  I had a slow drip in my ceiling and couldn't figure out where the water was coming from.  Eugene came out and immediately figured out my problem and had things back to normal in no time at all.  While he was here, he fixed my toilet that was constantly running, as well. I'll call First Chicago Plumbing again!

Very happy.  Small job, needed a new sump pump.  Scheduler said they could have someone over pretty quickly.  Technician came out within a couple of hours although I told them it wasn't an emergency.  We talked about repair vs replace.  I thought he was very reasonable, no high pressure sales / anything like that.
Installed a new pump, tested it out.  Everything working great.
Scheduling was super easy.
I really liked the technician.
Everything was great / painless.

Great experience with J Sewer & Drain Plumbing. Diego texted in the morning to set expectations for when they would arrive. They were thorough rodding out our sewer line and gave a full report on their work. I will definitely call them next time I need maintenance on our sewer line.

Kevin was courteous in answering my questions about a possible pipe issue, and walked me through steps to help address it over the phone. Kyle came over within 20 minutes, and was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely call them again in the future with any issues.

Ridiculously fantastic.
So, we live in an old bungalow. We purchased a new range for our kitchen - it was delivered, and beautiful, and basically sat in the middle of the room - ok, I may be exaggerating a bit - but it did stick out a good 4 from the wall. The gas pipe coming up through the floor was to blame. Ugh. We called our usual plumber, they took a week to come out to tell us it would be super expensive, they would have to come back a week later to do it, it would take all day, and they would have to go through the exterior bricks of the house.

I felt like this seemed off. After a quick yelp search, I found Captain Rooter, a phone call, a knock on our door the next morning, an estimate of LESS THAN HALF and the job DONE in less than two hours - gas pipe moved over, no disruption to exterior bricks, and oven range in place snug against the wall. So happy.

Our electrician was friendly, timely, and resourceful. When he encountered surprises installing our new bathroom fan, he went out and got what he needed to resolve the issue and did it well. Darrell was also great at communicating with us by text and phone to let us know what to expect, when. I'll gladly work with them again!

Excellent plumbing service.  They responded quickly when I sent a request.  Pricing was very fair compared to others.  I had them replace an outdoor water faucet that was leaking.  Ivo did an great job and was so friendly and helpful.  I would highly recommend ABV Plumbing and will use them again for my next project.

Working with CJ plumbing was great. Dmitri was very responsive for setting up an appointment and helped me pick appropriate parts.

Lenny came out to our place to install new fixtures in a shower. He showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Altogether a great, professional company.

We love Mike The Plumber and highly recommend him.  He just assisted us with two small plumbing problems at our new house in Rogers Park.  He was so pleasant to work with, fixed the issues quickly, fixed a few other issues in the process, recommended some changes, and was so reasonable in his price.   He also loves dogs, and took time to pet and play with our two pups in the back yard.  Mike is now our go to plumber, and I suspect our pups will be trying to clog our pipes so that Mike gets a call to come back.

Juan is the only plumber provided the estimate of the water heater model that I wanted.  He arrived on schedule and performed the installation.  The unit was defective, not Juan's fault, where he called Rheem to expedite the part.  The part arrived the next day and Juan came the following day and got my new water heater resolved.
Recommend A&Y Plumbing and Juan is responsive and provide good service.

Sometimes the third time is the charm. We had an insidious leak from our upstairs bathroom to our main floor.  We had two other resources come out and no one could figure it out. I saw Noel's sterling Yelp reviews and decided to give him a try.

First, he asked me specific questions on the phone, giving me some possibilities and also providing me with a strong comfort level. There was no hard sell; he told me it was fine if I wanted a few days to think it over. I hired him on the spot and once here, he diagnosed the problem with lightning speed -- it was a tub/pipe issue from our guest bathroom. Noel needed to open the ceiling and cleaned up the entire mess before he left.  His price was reasonable, considering the time and effort he put in.

I'm in awe of Noel!  Everything you read here on Yelp is absolutely true. I will be recommending him to friends and to the entire Yelp community.  He is an absolute gem!
