Tom has been our plumber for more than 5 years. He was recommended by a friend and now we recommend him to our friends and others in our small condo association.

He has worked on our gas hot water heater, gas stove and numerous faucet, toilet and dryer issues.

He is a great communicator, arrives on time, does the work and cleans up afterwards. Tom's goal is to make sure the job is done right. He always answers my numerous questions.

My wife and I are extremely grateful for the work he has done over the years. He gives us peace of mind whenever he resolves an issue (which is always)!

When I interviewed Brendan I got a good feeling. He is serious about the service he provides. I have used him 4 times and he came through all 4 times. If he says he will be here he is. He will not overcharge and his work is neat and clean. I got lucky!

Max has done work at our home several times and the quality of his work is beyond exceptional and we have referred him to several friends, and will continue to do so. Recently, we needed to call him to help with an emergency, but I was nervous about having someone in the house during quarantine as I have family members who are high risk for COVID.  Max came in the back door to the basement wearing a mask, completed the work as quickly as he could and he cleaned every surface that he came in contact with before he left - again - though the basement door to prevent any contact with my family.  He not only assisted us during the emergency, he made sure that my family was safe.  He always arrives on time, always completes work within the scheduled timeframe, and always cleans up when he's finished.  If you are looking for an A+ plumber, call this guy.

Robco Plumbing is the best, I cannot say enough great things about them. I've used them countless times for plumbing issues since buying my condo. They are so efficient, were prompt with scheduling and coming by to help install my new faucet or dishwasher or to check out my water heater. And could they be any friendlier? Jay and Niko are the friendliest guys - even played with my dog while they were here. Sometimes in the service industry people can be all business and no customer service skills but that is definitely not the case at all with Robco. So thankful they are always able to lend a hand and that they are in the city. Definitely would recommend them to any homeowner/renter/friend!

Sorry not a fan of the attitudes. Good work but the attitude and demands threw me off.

He was a little late, but how could I be mad when he was coming the same day I called and it was a Saturday!

John was super helpful. He walked me through everything he was doing, went out of his way to use the basement back door as to not bring his equipment through our house, and was quick and courteous.

He will definitely be our go to guy from now on.

My main sewer line clogs up every so often with tree roots invading it.   The last time was four years ago on Christmas Eve, and now again a couple days after Christmas.   I called ABC and they took care of it promptly at reasonable cost.  I have used ABC Plumbing for my plumbing needs (e.g. hot water heater, new kitchen sink faucet install, kitchen/laundry drain unclog, advice on drain for a dehumidifier) for more than a decade now and have not been disappointed.  Brian is good about making and keeping appointments.  He works efficiently, he works to code, and he's more about doing the work right than about maximizing the billing.  Brian is in demand, so at times when he's heavily booked he may refer you to another plumber -- that's his overflow valve.

Kumar does wonderful work. He was very responsive and fit us into his schedule quickly. We had our garbage disposal replaced and he not only did the installation but gave us a walk through on basic maintenance on it and other things to watch out for in the future. We are new home owners and his advice was very helpful. I would highly recommend him.

We realized at 8pm on a Sunday that our garbage disposal was spewing water into the cabinet underneath our sink. My husband made the call to Pinzone Plumbing. The call was returned by 9am Monday, he was in the house checking out the problem later that same day and by Tuesday at 8:30am the job was done.

He was amazingly fast with the response time, wore booties in our house to not track in dirt, gave us an honest assessment of the situation and choices and then completed the job with incredible speed and we are left SO happy with the new garbage disposal which is powerful, quiet and well-installed.

When he left my husband loudly exclaimed Now THAT is how you run a small business!   A pleasure to work with all around!

I've used the services of HER PLUMBING from the 1990s up through today.
I couldn't be happier. I moved into my new place that needs a lot of work. Todd helped me today. He fixed the tub, kitchen sink and put a new garbage disposal in.
The new dishwasher will be next.

I had been using a large company for air conditioning and had them do some maintenance work on my heating system as well.  Within a few months I had some burst pipes and had them come out to asses and fix the situation.  The guy they sent out felt he couldn't fix my system, my boiler was about to go and said he could install a new one for just shy of $15000 on top of what they'd already charged without actually fixing my system.  Upon receiving the quote I called a couple of other companies to get second opinions.  They all said I had another 25 years left on my boiler.  

Out of the group of second opinions, I chose Wellesley Heating and Plumbing.  They ripped out and replaced what the first company did at a lower price than the first company had already charged me.  No boiler replacement, and the system is running better than ever.  That was in January this year.  Now it's November and the heating is still working the best it ever has.  I'll definitely go to them again.

9/18/2018 - Still using them, last week they came out to help with my AC which was acting up.  It worked out well and was affordable.

They did a world class job replacing the steam boiler in our 1890's house. Fair price, outstanding skill, prompt service.

Had an emergency with a pipe breaking coming out of my water heater on a Saturday night. Called a bunch of places that either didn't pick up, said they would have someone call me back (which they never did), or that they couldn't come out till Monday. Joe said he would be able to stop by shortly and he did. He fixed the problem and educated me on a few things. I also feel that his prices were fair.

If you have a plumbing problem, save yourself money and headaches, and go elsewhere.
I don't know whether I will be able to upload photos of my basement that show the aftermath of McGough plumbing's work. The work is not up to code and I must have it redone. Yes, you read correctly: not up to code! And this was a $1000 job.  I was sold when I spoke to the owner who assured me he can get his guys the next day to fix a problem in my basement--a broken cast iron pipe that flooded my basement.  He agreed to send his men the next day which was a Saturday, and on top of that, he knocked $200 off the original quoted price.  I was grateful, and appreciative. Now I realize that I was cheated because I am about to pay another $1000 to fix what they did!
Do not waste your money and do not give them your business.
If I am unable to post the photos here, feel free to contact me and I will share them with you.  What you'll see is a PVC pipe protruding from the concrete floor, which is damp. It is damp because they did not seal the work properly. Based on the work they performed in my basement, these guys are not professionals, and I regret giving them my business.
I always hire locally because I like to encourage small and local business, but I regret giving McGough my business. Shame on you McGough!

This company is OUT OF BUSINESS yet still charging my credit card for a service plan!!!!!

Steve may be the best plumber in the world, but I found his utter failure to respond to messages a complete deal-breaker. I purchased a dishwasher from Tri-City in Salem and part of the deal was to have him install it. I was told he was about a week out in his work, and he makes his calls at night. When six days had gone by and I hadn't heard from him, I started trying to reach him. I left 3 messages over several days asking for him to let me know when he was coming. I also contacted the store, and the service representative sent him an email. He didn't return any of these attempts to contact him. I finally got my own plumber, and left a message with Steve canceling the service. A day or so later he called, saying he was ready to install the dishwasher. He claimed he had not gotten my messages.

Had a call from my tenant on the first cold days of late autumn that the heat wasn't coming on. Its an old-school steam boiler. Temperatures plummeting, I called three places, all which were referred to me by other happy customers. Of those three, only Puopolo responded the same day (one never responded and the 3rd called back many days later) and sent someone out who seemed really young but turned out to be smart and able to figure out what was a tricky and rather unusual problem! He was SO good and thorough, nice, professional, came out on a holiday weekend Sunday, I would happily recommend! I am grateful to my real estate agent friend who made the recommendation and said they may not be super cheap but they are reliable and know what they're doing

We specifically requested Hohmann as part of the P&S on our new house to be the ones to inspect, clean, and repair (if necessary) the boiler. The first visit was ok - they fixed a few minor items and tuned the boiler. There was a stuck valve for the basement zone that they said they would need to come back to fix. Due to scheduling issues on their part, they couldn't get back until after we closed on the house (closing 11/15, return visit 12/12), so we held some money back at the closing to deal with the last open item.

Their tech came back on Dec 12. I called later that week for a follow up and was told the invoice would go out in a few days. I've called at least once a week since then, and been continually told that it was coming. I'm _asking_ for a bill, folks. Last week I was told that they couldn't find anything in the system and they would have to check with the tech and call me back. No callback. I called again today and was told that NO REPAIR WAS DONE because they apparently needed an electrician. It's January 12 - it's been a MONTH of phone calls. Supposedly the tech who did the work is going to call me back with more details. I highly doubt I'll hear from him. Their front desk people are also rude and unhelpful.

I'm disgusted. Hohmann used to be my go-to company, but I'm never using them again.
