Tom responded to my inquiry immediately and provided an estimate of time for replacing some older, corroded pipes, fixing a leaky and half-stuck faucet, and replacing some older shutoff valves after I provided him with some photos of the work I needed.  He was fully booked out for a few weeks, but we were able to schedule a day, and Tom finished all the work in time as quoted.  He was friendly, and explained what he'd done and showed me how to work some of the new hardware.  I would recommend him, and will definitely go back to him next time I need some plumbing work done!

Tom has always done a great job at my house with big and small jobs.  He is responsive, professional and very clearly knowledgeable.  I feel much better now that I know a guy that does good work at a fair price.  I don't plan on hiring anybody else for any of my plumbing needs.

I have used a couple times this past year. Always reliable and on time and wearing a mask. Very helpful not only in fixing the problem but also in answering my related questions. And reasonable rates. I've use several plumbers in the past few years this is my favorite one.

When our very old three-knob shower faucet began leaking into the kitchen below, I searched for a local plumber and called Tom. He answered immediately, listened to my explanation, and asked for a photo of the leaking faucet. He told me he would return my call later that night, since he was in the middle of another job. He called back as promised, said he could order parts to rebuild the faucet, and we set a time for him to come to do the work a couple of days later (this was not an emergency, as there was no leak when the faucet was turned off).

On the agreed day, he texted ahead and showed up on time. He was friendly, courteous and careful in our house, answered questions and explained things clearly. He got right to work and gently moved a few of our things out of the way in the bathroom. He was careful, not hasty, and clearly had plenty of experience with old hardware.

Most importantly: he successfully rebuilt the old faucet in a couple of hours, and it works like new without a leak to be found! He also made some friendly recommendations about how to keep our other out-of-date bathroom hardware going for a few more years.

If I could give Tom 6 stars, I would.  From now on, when I need a (seriously knowledgeable) plumber, he is the guy.  Tom is a pro in this field and his service is outstanding.  He's gone out of his way to make sure we are happy with his exceptional service and got the job done under a tight deadline.  He is honest, hard working and excellent in his trade. Tom was incredibly responsive and despite having a booked schedule, managed to squeeze my job in. He is professional, knowledgeable, a great communicator, and has an easy going disposition --- which in my experience can be a challenging combination of positive traits that isn't always easy to find.
He came out as scheduled, took a look at not only the sink, but also had to move some ceiling panels in the basement (not an easy feat to access) to diagnose the issue. Within just over an hour, my tenant's sink was fixed and the area Tom worked in was cleaner than how he found it. His rate was completely affordable. He also gave some additional advice regarding updating my home's plumbing for the future.
I would highly recommend Tom for any / all plumbing needs. Highly.

I called these guys regarding a low pressure shower head. I thought it was not calibrated correctly and asked for some help. The owner was busy and needed a day to come out but provided me with perfect advice over the phone which solved my issue. It is hard to find good advice that's free and this guy really helped me out!

Tom was on time, professional and honest.  He estimated it would take 4 to 5 hours and was done in 4.  He advised us on our old and deteriorating plumbing.  We were already aware we needed a redo.  He could have told us it needed to be done right away, instead he found the immediate problem and made a repair that gives us time to prepare to redo the whole bathroom.  Instead of selling us on any one contractor he named one he works with but advised us to get at least three quotes.  He is not the cheapest plumber out there, but he is worth the money.

I have contacted a couple company but no one really responded but Tom. He came to check my heat really fast after I called and offered a great help. Super helpful!

It seems that several of Tom's customers have beaten me to the 5-star review.  I will add my voice.  In addition to being reliable, fair, very very responsive, and doing wonderful work, Tom is a pleasure to have in the house.  He also takes questions from customers seriously, exploring the issue and working together to solve the problem.  I really appreciate Tom and his work.

Tom has done numerous plumbing jobs for us over the years.  He comes when he says he will.  He's very neat and charges what he says he will.  That gives him high marks in my book :)

Tom told us that he could fix our specific model of boiler, but when he came he spent a day and a half on the phone with tech support for the manufacturer and told us in person that he'd never worked on unit like this before. His final charges were almost three times his initial estimate. Not only that, but he went ahead and installed other parts that he didn't ask us about beforehand or satisfactorily explain the need for (and pf course charged for). To top it off, less than three months later we had further problems with the boiler (seemingly related to the pump and valve the Tom had replaced). As we had water pouring out of the boiler Non-Stop and flooding our basement we had Tom back -  to his credit he came within a day, this star 2 - but he claimed this was a completely unrelated problem and charge us almost another thousand dollars  to fix this new issue, along with a few additional parts that he didn't  clear with us before installing. I've just got my fingers crossed we're not going to having more problems with the boiler. I can be sure of this, I won't be calling Tom again, at this point I do not trust him.

Tom has been the plumber for our home in Newton for many years.  He came yesterday in the 11th hour to fix a shower drain. I realized that in a world filled with unreliable professionals, that Tom is a unique gem.  He is extremely good at what he does, he arrives on time and his fees are more than fair.  Sometimes he will tell me the job was too small for him to charge me.  I have to argue to pay him for his time and good work. MOST graciously, Tom teaches me little things so that I can make the repair should it occur again.  He is the consummate professional and I can not recommend him highly enough.

Tom has worked on projects big and small for my house and rental units.  He is always professional, honest and punctual.  I have relied on Tom for heating system overhauls, kitchen renovation and emergency service.  He always comes through, best plumber I have ever employed.

We used him when the main water meter for our condo building failed. He did such a good job that when the city was replacing some lead piping under the street and the sediment from their work clogged up my shower, I brought him back in to do the repairs. He's not the cheapest plumber around, but you're paying for experience, excellent communication, punctuality, and honesty. Would happily use him again, and would recommend to friends.

Tom returned our payment and asked us to pay what we thought the job was worth.  He was very professional in his response to our complaint and at this point I would highly recommend him as a trustworthy plumber.

Tom's company has been very helpful making fixes to an old boiler that was converted from oil to gas many years ago.  He has all the tools and knowledge to be able to diagnose and fix problems fairly quickly.  He is very pleasant to work with and good at explaining the potential causes of problems. One time he replaced several parts that an inexperienced Winters plumber installed poorly and another time he determined a problem with week pressure on the gas line was making it hard for the heat to start up and helped me get a utility worker to come over and replace a leaking connection on the gas meter.

We recently bought an old house with many problems. After noticing a missing valve off our laundry plumbing and a leaking valve along the same line, we gave Tom a call.

Tom was very professional- he explained his hourly rate and asked for pictures of the valves to ensure that he arrived with the necessary parts. As it wasn't an emergency, he scheduled us for a few days later. An opening came up sooner and he asked if we'd like that instead!

He arrived on time and, after asking some diagnostic questions, got right to work. The job took him as long as he stated it might and his costs were reasonable. He had some time afterwards and looked over some additional concerns we had. Couldn't have been happier! We'll definitely call him again if needed!

Tom responded within hours to my inquiry, and scheduled time on his weekend to look at a leak in my second floor bathroom that was causing water damage. Even though we only scheduled an evaluation, he was able to apply a patch that fixed it until he was able to come back for a full repair. Tom answered all my questions, provided proof of his licensure and insurance at my request, and did the work I requested at the rate he quoted. Tom was professional, courteous, and straightforward, and I highly recommend his services!

It was a wonderful experience having Tom work on a few small plumbing jobs around my parent's 1970s home. He was very professional, honest, and upfront regarding the costs of the job.  I sent Tom a service request through Yelp's message system and he was able to respond within hours to my request and schedule a timely appointment. I had a multitude of issues with my 1st floor half bath and 2nd floor full bath including two slow flow toilets, one leaking shower faucet, and one broken sink faucet. On the day of the appointment, Tom arrived on time, was quick to evaluate the situation, and provided me with a game plan/estimate and options for quick fixes vs long term fixes for each of the problems. I was content with each of the fixes he made. Along the way, Tom provided me with some future home improvement project suggestions to better maintain the home. He provided me with a clearly written receipt of the jobs he performed and the cost of the supplies. It was a pleasure having him work on the home and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Tom provided amazing service. He was in touch before the appointment, asking good questions and providing updates on his arrival time. Always very friendly, including offering some tips for around the house that were appreciated by first time home owners.

We contacted Tom about fixing a mostly blocked train and replacing the valve in the shower. He was able to do both in a timely manner and the new valve looks (and works!) great.
