Mike Hickey answers his phone, is prompt, and does great work. What else can you ask for? We've hired him for adding baseboard heat, extending a gas line, and a bathroom plumbing remodel. The jobs were done on time and were of high quality. I highly recommend his company, and will definitely call him next time we need a plumber for anything. Don't waste any time, just trust me and call Mike first!

They are always professional, on time and know what they are doing. We had a problem one summer weekend and a guy named Steadman, presumably the owner (not Oprah's boyfriend) came over fixed it himself. It seems increasingly rare to receive that level of service these days. Keep up the good work.

We've had a few repairs completed by Jeff and he is excellent. He is trustworthy and provides honest evaluation of the problem. Prices are fair and he always fixes things on the spot! We highly recommend!

Gary came on a Saturday when our circulation pump died. He swapped it out with a steady efficiency. He also noticed an issue with our damper that he corrected which he estimated will save 10% annually. At least four other plumbers over the years failed to notice that! Great work! Thank you, Gary.

If you're looking for gas fireplace sales or service stop searching and call these guys. I was shocked to see the consistently bad reviews of all the the other fireplace stores/installers in metro Boston.
I recently purchased a house with a gas fireplace in serious disrepair and was expecting to have to replace the insert. I called Mazzinini at 8:30 one morning and they were at my house at 1:30 the same day. Within an hour the tech had cleaned and repaired the insert, saving me the $5000 cost of replacement. He explained everything to me in detail and even saved me another $200 by offering to find a new battery cover for the old fireplace remote, rather than having to replace it.

These guys are the REAL deal. They understand service and are courteous, prompt, professional and super responsive. I needed an emergency eval done on a condo in Allston on a Friday, and at first, he said he could go first thing Monday, but when he heard the story, he said he would get over there that very day. He explained everything clearly, quoted me the price, and was reasonable. He even stopped to pick up a key to my unit since I was out of town. Talk about above and beyond, I hope these people are sitting on piles of money because they deserve it for their hard work and incredible work ethic. I can't tell you how many times I have referred them. I would take out a billboard!! Thank you AF Ventolieri!

Our zone valve was about 1/2 century old. There was a question about whether the shut-off valves would hold. Our plumber was able to get the old shut-off valves to work and was able to replace the zone valve in less than an hour. The replacement zone valve that Alewife Company recommended has replaceable innerds so the next repair will be much easier, hopefully in another 50 years. The plumber was very courteous and timely.

Great work! Very reliable! On time and helped me clean up a mess created by another plumber. Fair pricing. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Mike. He is very nice, dependable, respectful of your time (will call if running late) and does great work. It was a really good experience hiring him.

I called because a person who I don't think was a certified plumber told me I needed a $2,000-$4,000 repair. And I didn't trust him because once a broken drain was removed , I had no problems. I called this Co and the owner, Paul, was so helpful and saved me a lot of money and stress! Will def call if I have any plumbing problems in future.

I wasn't able to hire Rich, but he gets five stars for immediately answering my call and providing thorough and honest recommendations when it turned out that he doesn't offer the particular kind of installation I was looking for. Based on the friendly and responsive customer service alone, I will definitely try to hire him for future projects. Thank you Rich!

I called Dan first thing in the morning, he returned my call by mid morning and was installing my hot water heater by mid afternoon. I have been between plumbers for awhile, it's hard to pick the right one. God knows I should have yelped the last crazy, with a capital C guy that I picked! Several calls around, Dan was strait forward and the best price! The work was done within the hour, and the cellar was left neater than when he arrived! I was referred to him by my neighbor, who called everyone in the book last winter when his heat went out. Dan was the only one who returned his call and then came out to see if he could get it going on a Sunday. I am no longer in between plumbers. Dan and his right hand guy Brian are definitely the guys you want to call.

Trying to keep tenants happy in a 100+ year old 2 family when you live several hours away can be frustrating to say the least. However, Charlie King consistently and fairly makes my life easier by performing repairs and fixing problems, quickly and without breaking the bank. He is as good as it gets, everyone should be so lucky as to have FA King & Sons as their plumbers.

White's performed a fantastic oil to gas conversion (and indirect hot water heater) in my home. I can't say enough good things about this local, small family business. A few things of note:
- Tom came to perform an estimate about 6 weeks before the work. Boilers don't grow on trees, so plan ahead, they need time just to get parts.
- That said, Tom is a plumber, not a salesman, so his on-site estimate was spot on and they had everything needed to do the job in a single day.
- Winter is busy season. Took a few hours to hear back after leaving my initial message, that's because these people are working sweating pipe, not answering phones. Be patient!
- They take credit card as a form of payment (except things they contract out, I.e. chimney lining). Saves from needing to move large sums of money and writing big checks!
- In by 0830, done by 1630. No mess left behind, professional, courteous, and they take their time to do it right the first time.
- Tom explained how the system works, and verified correct operation before he left. And it's still working great. Also helped get the rebate paperwork in order so I can get some money back in a few weeks.
- One last point... the whole Mass Saves thing is a bit confusing. MassSaves is nothing more than a zero-percent loan for a heating system. That said, it also comes with strings, i.e. their money, their rules, and limited options on heating systems. Efficiency is based on a particular size system, and not one-size fits all, and your home may not fit the mold. For example, a motorcycle engine is very efficient on a bike, but won't work to power a car, right? Tom and his family are professionals who know their stuff. If they think the system dictated by MassSaves isn't right for your home, it probably isn't. F.Y.I. you can still get rebates back even without taking the MassSaves loan. My personal advise: ask them what you need before going the MassSaves route if you have sufficient time and can potentially afford a loan through a different avenue.

Gave an incorrect diagnostic, didn't fix the problem, and attempted to charge full price. Called another company and it was fixed the day they got there. Steer clear of these guys

I was very impressed with the work done by Boston Standard and Plumbing on my water heater at my home. They also put in a burner at my business. They did such a great job on everything. I loved that they wore booties over their shoes while they were working. Also, the women in the office were very accommodating whenever I called to schedule an service appointment. Very professional company to work with.

$75 to show up. $782.05 to replace two leaky faucets. I understand that those are fun bernanky dollars but still, the ¢0.05 just doesn't make sense. I don' t think they need my business, or any business for that matter.
12 Essex St, Lynn, MA 01902
Charged $940 to hook up a dishwasher and attach an ice maker. Feel the price was very high. They came to our home twice, included in the charge was a transportation fee of $125 per visit that was not disclosed prior to scheduling. We were taken advantage of and I warn others. If the appliance dealer suggests a plumber go with who they recommend, we did not do that and regret our decision.

I called Rodenhiser out of the blue when my furnace didn't start up this season. A technician came out the next day, and with my furnace being 50 years old decided it was time to replace it. Rick, who has been with the company for 30 years, came out a few days later and gave me an estimate. Lacking heat, Rodenhiser worked with me to have the new furnace installed within a week. The crew worked for 2 full days installing the new gas furnace (combined with water heater) and piping. They also connected me with the state program that offers a $2500 rebate for saving energy. Everyone I interacted with at Rodenhiser was courteous, professional, and trustworthy. I can't recommend them highly enough.
