Bowman's did all the work to convert my home from oil to natural gas including removing my old furnace an installing a new carrier gas furnace and humidifier. They also installed my gas fireplace set and gas range and later I will have them install a gas water heater.
Honestly, it was a pleasure to deal with this company. My wife and I looked at many of the companies that Washington Gas lists and these guys were the most helpful.
Dean Stine, the sales manager, took his time with us and explained the process for converting to natural gas. He was always responsive to my phone calls and I always had the feeling that they would do a good job. THEY DID A GREAT JOB!
The price was very competitive and Dan and his crew were dependable, skilled, friendly and efficient and took time to answer my many questions. They were careful to put down drop cloths and kept our house clean. The staff was considerate and friendly.
Do yourself a favor and call these guys. You will not be sorry.

Our kitchen sink was in bad shape, and this was after the last plumber fixed the leaks. Having an old cast iron sink, I thought everything had to go. Sa's Plumbing was the only company that I could find that would not charge for an estimate. They turned out to be a pleasant husband and wife team who work hard, show up on time, use quality parts, clean up afterwards, and give honest opinions. They salvaged the sink and valves, replacing lines and hardware. It looks great and after one month, no leaks! At the time we had the work done, the company did not take credit. I recommend!

Dennis was respectful of our home by wearing a mask and booties. He went above and beyond the plumbing job by helping me move and install our bathroom vanity. He was helpful in explaining all aspects of the job and even walked around the house with me to check out other problem areas and offer his advice. All around great service at a fair price.

Kurt is always helpful on the phone to help diagnose a problem before sending someone out promptly. Work is always done throughly no matter who comes.

I had an emergency at the end of the business day and Woodbridge Plumbing was available after hours to meet my needs. The after hours overtime was reasonable, about the same rate that I paid for a normal business hour repair by another plumber 9 months ago. Leroy, the plumber who fixed my issue, called me 30 mins ahead of time to let me know he was on his way, was then promptly on time (even with slick streets from the days earlier snow storm), was clean and courteous. I even got a discount for being in the military which saved be a few dollars. I plan on using this company again in the future as they exceeded my expectations! Thanks again Leroy, fantastic job!

Nate arrived a little later than promised but considering the distance I'll factor in traffic from MD to NOVA. He went straight to the issue and was able to troubleshoot without going to the most expensive option, which not only fixed the issue but was much appreciated! He was friendly and courteous. Things you don't find with most plumbers in the Arlington area, plus he beat their prices by a long shot! Definitely a keeper!

I was very impressed with George - he is very very professional, friendly, responsive to communication, and cleans up meticulously after his work is done. Very fair pricing, prompt, and just generally great to work with. Highly recommended!

The service provided by OTECH was prompt and effective. I recommend it to anyone looking to have reasonably priced plumbing work done. I had a kitchen sink backup in my condo in Alexandria upon arriving from Florida. This was really an unexpected inconvenience since the kitchen became unusable. Jafar was willing to come out as soon as I finished work on Friday. I thought that was really accommodating and traits of good customer service. I had called other plumbers on Yelp but either they didn't work after hours or wanted to charge after hours rates. One company even asked me to call the building maintenance staff first to determine if it was a building line problem. I thought that was an odd recommendation for a company looking for work. My building doesn't offer this type of service so I called OTECH, and I'm glad I did.
Jafar answered and we agreed on a rate/price and we were set to go. It turned out to be a severe clog in the line. Furthermore, I asked if he would change the garbage disposal as well, which had needed replacing anyway and he agreed for an additional fee. He got the garbage disposal from his supplier so I didn't have to buy it at Home Depot. I appreciated this service as well, which allowed me to come home directly from work.
The plumbing work was successfully completed and Jafar cleaned up everything and tested for leaks. I have a one year warranty for labor and 2 years manufacturer's warranty for the garbage disposal. He took American Express for payment and didn't charge a 3% convenience fee like other plumbers do. I definitely will call OTECH again for any future plumbing work.

As first time homeowners, we were hesitant to begin the process of converting our electric stove to gas. After careful research and based on the reviews, my husband hired R-Plumber for the job.
Well, suffice to say we now have permanent plumber! Rene and his crew were awesome! Professional, extremely knowledgeable...we had no idea of permits and inspections, but Rene did. The job was completed when they said it would be, at the price they quoted. They even went out of their way to assist us in working a solution to a problem that arose when we installed our new cook top (our fault, the size of the cook top was off; the installation was perfect). Then, when they were finished installing the gas pipes, I was impressed again by the patch job on the dry wall...it is barely noticeable! A little paint and no one will know any work was done. We already have plans for more jobs with them.
I absolutely, highly recommend you hire R-Plumber for ALL your plumbing jobs. You will NOT regret it.

Technicians seem to be good and understand the issues. The company however, even if you have a service agreement which supposedly includes discounts, seems to always overprice repairs significantly. Have gotten 3 quotes from them for simple repairs (ac and plumbing) under our service agreement. Concerned that their estimates for repair seemed above what we believed was standard, prior to the repairs we got additional quotes. In every case the competitors were significantly less expensive for the exact same work. In multiple cases the competitor quotes were 30-45% lower! The idea that a repair that takes 30 minutes or less should require $350 or more in labor does not make sense to me. Looking at quotes we received from Cardinal, then comparing to the time it took to do the work, it is hard to accept that plumbing or ac services should cost $600-$800 per hour. For each of 3 recent repairs, though we have a service agreement with Cardinal, we used another company to deliver the services. Doesn't make sense. Except for their pricing practices, we would recommend and continue to use the services of Cardinal. With so many options locally it doesn't make sense.

I highly recommend George Baker of Ahoy Plumbing. George does great work, he shows up when promised, he's an excellent communicator, and I found him to be honest and trustworthy. His prices are fair and reasonable. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

Had to get water pipes going from the outside bibbs on the front and the back done, along with updating the shutoff valves on the bathroom. The sinks and bathrooms were checked to make sure everything is up to code and no issues.
The work quality is excellent and recommend to do business!

We used a builder who used CB Lucas. The HVAC system was built completely inadequate for the finished space in the house. Aside from providing only 1 vent to condition over 1,200 Square feet of finished space (including exercise space), the units provided never worked properly. The AC leaked (photos) and damaged the ceilings. The heating does not work still and Michael Lucas wrote he will not honor the warranty. If zero stars were allowed, that is what I would put. Find a reputable company and save yourself a lot of time, money and aggravation.

This place has an amazing selection of beautiful things. Great for window shopping (I guess more if you have the funds :) ), and the staff is very friendly and approachable. I've never seen so much unique tile in one place.

I am always scared that I'll be taken advantage of when getting home repair services, so I was pleased with Stevens Company.
I had unexplained mold and water damage in my basement, and long story short, a pipe was leaking. I found Stevens Co. on yelp and gave them a call on a Monday. Alex--the plumber assigned to me-- came later that week. The company called me before to make sure I was home, and Alex was on time. He took off some dry wall, identified the leak, explained his proposed course of action and sought my approval before he went forward, which I appreciated because I've had folks just go forward and assume I'm cool with what they want to do.
The thing that moved my 4 star to 5 is that Alex needed to wait 20ish minutes while someone from the office brought him some supplies, and he did not charge me for that time (the company charges $85/half hour, plus a $75 service fee).
I paid by credit card and received an invoice that clearly noted the issue. I am very satisfied by the experience.

Our toilet got flooded due to the refrigerator. He agreed to fix our bathroom ceiling with paint and living room ceiling for $600 total. Once he started working he started complaining and started saying its too much work i and I am just helping you we paid him $300 to get the supplies. He messed up our walls and said he never said he will be painting the whole ceiling. This guy was trying to find ways to get more money out. He simply refused him and asked him to leave. We were not going to pay more for the job which is still unfinished and very poor job. Now he started to post my pictures my kid's pictures my house pictures on social media and he has started to harass me and my wife. I would not recommend this person at all. If anything happens to me or my family this guy Edward would be responsible

Called them to replace a broken toilet flange and they came out with in an hour, job was done quickly and correctly and at a fair price. Would Highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services.

If I could give a zero rating I would. I had an appointment scheduled for service at a rental property. They cancelled it and rescheduled TWICE on short notice after I set aside time to be available for the technician each time. That was very inconvenient. Then for the third appointment they called my home phone instead of my cell phone to confirm the appt. while I was at the property with my cell phone so I couldn't confirm the appt. So I called to reschedule and made sure they would call and text my cell number in advance, like they originally said they would, for appointment number four. I waited until the end of the time window on number four appt. and called them to ask what's going on. They told me they tried to call me three times. Well, they didn't. I confirmed they had the correct cell number - yes they did. I have no clue what their disorganized issue is. I suggest you try another company unless you don't have an urgent need, and you do have a lot of time to waste. And I'm talking about two weeks to waste...

I rank their plumbers highly - the quality of the work is fine, the plumbers are clean and show up on time.
But the Grayton front office is a MESS - the receptionist is the worst person to deal with - it took me forever to schedule an appointment, she is very shady on price estimates, and so rude - and yes, i also had a lot of trouble trying to redeem their on line coupon. The coupon is a joke - the plumber said he would honor it, I confirmed that i had a coupon when I made the appointment, but at the end of the day, the receptionist overruled it.
While the plumbing services themselves were fine, it was such a hassle dealing with Grayton's admin office that I would not go back.
If I pay someone hundreds of dollars, a thank-you and a friendly attitude should be standard.
Spend your plumbing dollars elsewhere.
