I would highly recommend Dennis with Veteran Plumbing Services to anybody. I reached out to Dennis via Yelp for a quote and he was quick to respond and schedule an appointment with me for a few days later. On that day, I received a 20-minute call-ahead and Dennis arrived on time for our scheduled appointment. He was kind, respectful, and wore a full set of PPE (gloves, booties, mask). He gave me an estimate for a burst pipe valve that was fair and patiently answered my questions. He performed the work immediately and was completed within an hour. He also stayed to give me an estimate for another project at my request. No complaints and I'm happy to have a working pipe again!

VPS came by today to replace exterior hose bibs.  He did great work and was completed quickly.  The work area was cleaned after and overall the work was great.

Awesome service . My shower knob was stuck and the valve was not turning off. They came the same day and finished the job quickly. Also co incidently there was a leak near my sprinklers which we would have not noticed, they located the leak and helped me to shut off the leak. Reccommend their prompt response and service.

So here's my story. I needed to replace some fixtures in our bathroom -- you know, old leaking builder-grade faucets. They'd been leaking for a while, so I went out and got some new ones.  

When I went to install them, I couldn't turn off the cold water valves. Now maybe I could have fixed that, but I have had self-induced leaks before and wasn't keen on the idea of replacing the feed valves, so I started looking for a  plumber.  

As a member of NextDoor.com, I saw a good review of VPS. I like the idea of supporting veteran owned business, so I gave them a call and scheduled an estimate for a few days later (Last Friday.)  

It was a 12-4 kind of scheduling, but that was no problem. At about 12:30 I get a call that they'll be here in 10 minutes. Excellent.  Drake, son of the owner showed up and we talked about want I needed done. I showed him around and he gave me advice about the tasks.

In the process, he offers help with a mis-behaving toilet and to install the fixtures. (Not for free, 'mind you. Just as a result of my showing what I needed.) He told me he could do the work right away if I wanted.  

Heck, yeah.  

I decided that I wanted all 13 valves in our house to be replaced. The toilet to be fixed, and to install the fixtures. After a quick estimate he got to work.

About 3.5 - 4 hours later, it was all done. If not for another appointment, he would have finished everything.  We set up a second appointment to fix the toilet and install the fixtures (I had bought earlier as mentioned above).

I paid for all work (both for what was done and what was to be completed later) and he left. Everything was cleaned up nicely.  

Drake did a great job. He used quarter-turn valves. They look good and they are very easy to shut off/turn on.  

Over the weekend I got an urge to be useful, so I decided to try my hand at repairing the toilet. It was a LOT of work to remove a stripped nut from the handle. I also replaced the inner mechanism. After finishing, I decided to complete the other work myself as well.  

I tell you all this because --and this is the great part --- I wrote an email telling VPS about the development and that I wouldn't need help installing the fixtures, etc. They replied ... I'm glad to hear your other plumbing needs have been taken care of this weekend. Great job! :) and proceed to refund the difference for the cancelled work. That's professional!  

Now I haven't had a lot of plumbing work done recently , so I don't have a sense of cost, but I am very happy with the work and I thought the price was reasonable.  VPS repaired/replaced what I needed, was very professional, and I felt it was a very good value.  

So, If I need a plumber, I will call VPS again in a heartbeat. You should too.

On a Saturday afternoon, our shower sprung a major leak and we had to shut off the water supply to our entire house. I called 9 different plumbing companies and messaged even more on Yelp to find one who would do an emergency, weekend service. Veteran Plumbing Service responded quickly on Yelp (most other companies never even returned my call) and sent technician Drake over first thing the next morning. Drake was not only polite and a friendly person, he was incredibly professional. He assessed the situation and then walked me through the pros and cons of two possible solutions to the problem. He then expertly fixed the leak. Payment was easy (they accept check, cash, or card), and it was honestly a pleasure to work with them. I cannot recommend VPS highly enough.

I saw what I thought was a minor leak got several estimates. Veterans plumbing were the first estimate to give me a full comprehensive explanation in person. Then when Chris came to do the job, amazing person, was very diligent and took the time to let me know why and what was going on. He fixed the leak in a very small space and found mold he was able to get me with a quaility restoration company that came out same day. Will always use this company again and great cost they weren't trying to over charge or up sell anything the focus was fixing my problem. Thank you!

We had Dennis came out today to fix a leak under the sink.  The office called ahead to let us know he is on his way.  It turns out to be a user error on our part.  Dennis showed us the problem and tighten the pipe and made sure the leak is fixed. Seriously the best plumber in town!

Just moved in to a new house. Toilet was making a jackhammer noise when flushed. Booked Veteran Plumbing Services the day before. Jim came out on time and fixed the toilet and two others quickly. Very cost effective and excellent work. I highly recommend!

Cannot say enough about how great Dennis and Drake were. Came out right away to fix our leaking pipe.  It was very clear they know what they are doing. They fixed the problem and were totally honest. Your company & services went above and beyond expectations today!  There was a significant plumbing issue at this home which my husband was unable to simply fix. He 1st called Rotor Rooter to come out and they didn't show, then he called Modern Mechanical and they said sometime next week. I had just gotten to the house so I told him to contact Veteran Plumbing Services, Dennis Rollins, gave him the ph#, and Jim McCarthy came out in a very timely matter.  Jim did a superb job, very professional and thorough!  Art was very pleased (as are the residents who live there). Veteran Plumbing Services is now their Go-To plumbing service from now on.

Veteran Plumbing replaced my water heater and did a great job.  Jim McCarthy was my tech and he kept me up to date on his arrival time.  He arrived with all the materials needed to complete the job. He worked quickly and didn't mind a question or two from me as he did the work.  He made sure everything was operational and I was comfortable with how it worked and what to expect.  Their price was competitive and their customer service very good.  I already have plans to have them back for a few other repairs, and would definitely recommend Veteran Plumbing to others.

VPS installed a water heater for me on Friday. I think the total time from first contact to the swap being finished was about 6 hours. They were very upfront about cost and everyone I interacted with was extremely professional. I'll definitely be using them again!

Awesome service, thank you! Asked for my availability upon scheduling, advised he would Call 15 minutes prior to arriving. Called and arrived at the front end of the window of timing I had provided, which ultimately meant I could get on with my day after the repair.
Provided upfront quote after assessing and then diligently completed the repair like a champ. It's been over a month and the repair has held solid. (Had a bath/shower faucet Combo that would not shut off... was constantly running).

He's awesome, prices are reasonable-  highly recommend!

Dennis did an amazing job putting in a new toilet in the downstairs of my condo. He was professional and knowledgeable throughout the job. Dennis was also the most reasonable plumber in town. We had our water main Pressure Reduction Valve replaced by Dennis Rollins. He did an outstanding job at a competitive price. He was friendly, timely, knowledgable, and he patiently answered all of my questions. I'm happy to recommend  Veteran Plumbing Services to anyone in Fairfax Country who is looking for an outstanding local plumbing service.

Had our water main Pressure Reduction Valve installed yesterday by Dennis Rollins, founding proprietor of Veteran Plumbing Services, who did a great job at a very competitive price.  It was a tricky installation in a tight spot behind drywall at the back of a pantry, but he took care to try to minimize disruption to the area.  He showed me how to operate the PRV, and assisted in calibrating current pressure to our desired level of about 80psi for us.  If you call Veteran Plumbing, I'm pretty sure you'll be as happy as we are with the outcome.  
For those who've received notices from Fairfax Water recommending installation of a PRV due to likely increased pressure from the updated GMU water tower coming online soon, you've still got time to get the work done and get compensated for the expense by Fairfax Water, but that time is running out quickly (end of Sept.2020?).

Very nice people at this company. The tech was wonderful. We took off a point only because of price being high for such a small matter.. But they everyone was reliable, professional and courteous.

Great customer service - they responded quickly and got the job done. They were also great about answering questions and looking at a few other minor plumbing issues. Definitely recommend--they are the plumbing service I will be using from here on out.

The team at Veterans Plumbing did a great job clearing a VERY stubborn kitchen sink clog.  They stayed committed, switched approaches when the snake couldn't clear it the first way, and kept at it until the job was done!  Even though I'm sure it took longer than your typical job, they didn't try to nickel and dime me with any extra charges.  They pointed out a couple of other plumbing projects I might want to tackle in the future, but not in a way where I felt like they were trying to upsell me.  They were very courteous and professional throughout the entire process (which is important when you have someone in your house!).  I do a lot of the minor plumbing (fixing toilets, etc.) myself but if something big comes up again, I'll be sure to call them again.

Dennis came to our house to investigate what we thought was a more involved toilet issue. It turned out to only be a clog that just needed to work itself out. He was kind, professional and thorough. We obviously thought we would be paying him for his time, even though he didn't have to fix anything as that to me is standard protocol. He would not accept our money. My husband is a military vet and we like to support veteran owned businesses. We recommended Dennis to my parents and would recommend him to others and will also call him with our future needs!

If I could give this business 10,000 stars I would, but Yelp will only limit 5.

If you are reading this review, most likely you were like me looking for a plumber that did not upswell you on everything, then charge you these incredibly high prices for parts and pieces that cost less than a few hundred dollars. I shopped around a lot!!! I spoke to 5 plumbers, three coming to my house and one company that just never showed and I could not stand any of them so I looked again on Yelp. Lo and behold VPS.

I called and wondered if I was wasting my time- no way! They rocked. I spoke to Dennis the owner, a retired navy engineer and family man with a lineage of family who are plumbers throughout the US.

Dennis came to my house and was beyond friendly, accommodating and understanding. He walked me through what we needed done, and how his workmanship is done at a higher caliper. There was zero pressure. He was the first plumber I actually trusted. We determined that the PRV and emergency shut off needed to be replaced, in addition to a new flange on the gas fireplace, and talked to us about our water heater.

The very next day our water was fixed and the day after our fireplace. Wow what service. Well they have earned my business for life!

These guys were honest and had integrity. We will absolutely be calling them again for our plumbing needs.

My sewage pump went out. I read many reviews and gave a 5-start rated,  with many good reviews plumber a call. On said day, the person from the company arrived and said he didn't know what happened. He took some pictures and went out the house in an attempt to see my sewage pipe.... later he gave me a call with a pricy quote.

I called Veteran Plumbing Service and wanted to just have a quote, thinking if people had no clue could send me a quote, why bother to come on site. VPS insist to come to site to give a quote. After meeting Dennis, he explained the importance of seeing the work site before the quote and gave me quotes on two options: labor only and labor + parts. His quote is very reasonable. Dennis said that I may not need to replace the check vault and told me the place to purchase parts - totally different from the other plumber, recommended for all replacements regardless.

Dennis is correct. There is need to replace the check vault. He got the work done in about 30 minutes. Other than no way to contain sewage smell, Dennis took care of everything and kept the work site no stain. He even honored the military discount.

Dennis didn't ask me to write a review, I did it on my own. He is truly an honest person who runs a decent business. This experience tells me not to reply on someone who seem to have many good reviews, they may ask for it. It also tells me that VPS is a company anyone can trust with plumbing needs.

Although I eventually did not end up using them and their services, they have the sense of urgency and were the first to send someone over to examine the work and provide me with a quote (which was pretty competitive). They also followed up with an email.

Outstanding job! Like some others I was disappointed in my most recent job by Marines Services (they were great when they were Marines Plumbing), so I looked for another veteran-owned company and I am happy to provide Veteran Plumbing Services another 5 star review. They responded immediately to my Yelp inquiry and provided two options (both windows within 24 hours of my request) for appointment windows to come out for an estimate/repair if I approved. They also called me a half an hour ahead of when the technician was going to arrive. When Brandon arrived, he put on booties and gloves and went to work. He was very friendly and professional (an outstanding representative of your company, Dennis!). He inspected the leaks I was dealing with and was able to provide a reasonable estimate electronically right away. I approved the work and he got the necessary parts & started into it. He kept me informed throughout the project and really did a beautiful job on the valve and pipe replacement. I'm really happy to have a plumber I can count on again.

Veteran Plumbing Service is prompt, professional, and competent.  I had a backed up kitchen sink, and it refused to be snaked out from inside.  So VPS went up on my roof and cleared the clog from there.  Afterwards, they gave good advice on how I might avoid getting this type of clog again.  Could not be happier with them and will definitely use them the next time I need a plumber
