I paid S&D Plumbing $595 for an incomplete leak detection inspection. I knew I had major sewer line leaks under my slab after getting my house leveled. Both sewer exit lines failed hydro-static tests after the leveling. I wanted to get a leak isolation report from a reputable company so I could collect repair bids based on the report.
The receptionist who booked my appointment said the inspection would be $310 with a $40 coupon. She did not mention that only covered the first 1.5 hours of the inspection. Each additional hour is $285. I didn't hear about the additional charge until Melvin arrived at my house for the inspection.
After 2.5 hours, Melvin was only able to complete isolation for the first floor sewer lines. We did not discuss continuing another hour for an additional $285 to isolate the second line. I wanted the experience to be over. I'm guessing Melvin did too.
The report he submitted called for two access holes, 35 feet of tunneling, and only addressed fixes for the first floor. I used that information to get competitive bids. The three other companies I contacted came in at least $5,000 lower than S&D's bid. The company I chose offered to complete isolation on the second line for free because they knew I already overpaid S&D for the initial inspection.
The complete job ended up requiring 44 feet of tunneling. Even with the additional 9 feet, I paid $3,300 less than S&D's quote for 35 feet.
I would not recommend S&D Plumbing, especially not for major repairs. From my experience, their pricing is not competitive.
On a lighter note, Melvin was knowledgeable and professional. He was the only bright spot in this whole experience.

We bought a home and needed several plumbing items. David was prompt to meet our availability to give a bid to install items we had purchased and to perform repairs. We accepted that bid and set a date. Circumstances forced me to reschedule twice, and David was accommodating. His two guys, Jimmy and Tony, arrived when expected and installed a new kitchen sink, disposal, reverse osmosis system and dishwasher. And repaired a shower mixer valve. And replaced a toilet. And made provisions in the garage for a refrigerator ice maker. Jimmy and Tony obviously knew their trade and worked steadily and cheerfully to complete all tasks. I recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work.

I returned from vacation to find my gas water heater overflowing with water from the top, and leaking at the seams. I called Austin Plumbery and they sent Travis out within a couple of hours. Travis was upfront with pricing and what the price included. After agreeing to the terms, he left to gather the needed parts and returned within the hour to install the water heater. After completion, and for a small extra fee, he hauled the old water heater off for disposal. The process was fairly quick and seamless.
As far as customer service, Travis was equally professional and friendly, and made a stressful situation tolerable. I'd highly recommend Austin Plumbery for your plumbing needs. The added bonus for me was working with a woman owned business.

Andre was very nice and professional. He was on job site promptly, and unclogged my garbage disposal pipe, replaced a part, and cleaned up the work site afterwards. His hourly rate was the best quote I got out of 10 places I contacted via Yelp, and he charged me less than that for the job that took half an hour (he didn't ask for the full rate because it is the first hour). He also accepts online payments via Venmo. Recommended.

Our clothes washer was stopped up. In no time about 30 min tops. RC got his machine out snaked the line ran the clothes washer thru a drain cycle and has his machine put up. I can say RC knew his stuff. I had a state plumbing license for years.

I called late in the afternoon, Jared turned the car around from where he was going and serviced my issue(s).
Great service, smart, quick, knowledgeable, & honest. Did I mention patient? After he explained to me what the problem was, at my request, he called my husband and reexplained to him what the problem was.

Have had two great experiences with A & A Plumbing now. Back in May we had our kitchen sink replaced as well as put in a reverse osmosis drinking water system. Chris worked efficiently and completed the work same day. The completed job looked great and has been working well ever since. Unfortunately this month, our main water line broke due to ground shifting. Josh came by same day to diagnosis the problem and help set up what he recommended giving us different estimates depending on the job we wanted to do. We went the long term route and not only got the main line fixed but replaced our water heater and had it installed in the garage rather than the attic where it originally was. Josh and his team came back the next day and had all the work completed. Customer service is also top notch and the receptionist was always helpful & polite whenever I called with any questions.
Highly recommend!

Awesome service! We had a backflow problem over the Christmas weekend, and they were able to come out and fix the problem the Monday after Christmas. Mike took the time to explain what happened and how we can prevent the problem from happening again. They have my highest recommendation!

Home emergency repairs can be scary when they happen, especially when it comes to water. How bad is the issue? How much will it cost to fix? Who should I call?
I'm glad we stumbled across these guys. They really are the best. We've used them several times over the past year and a half, since the beginning of glorious 2020. Everything from a leaking water heater, leaking toilet, busted pipe in our wall, faucet installations, and water heater install. They do it all and each time they came through the quality of service has been outstanding. They have this friendly-neighbor feel to them. Whenever we have a water issue we do not hesitate to call them. Each of these guys perform consistent quality work.

I needed a leak found and repaired. It was a complicated job, but they stuck with it, even when fixing the leak caused another plumber's faulty repair to fail and they had to return the next day to fix that. I will use Pennington's again.

This is a different kind of review because I didn't actually use this company. But if they have amazing employees like Logan who work there Id recommend them to everyone. This morning I had a flat and the only person to stop was Logan. He was so nice and very helpful. He showed me that chivalry isn't dead. Y'all truly have an amazing employee!!! Thanks Logan!
