Very responsive (a rarity among contractors from my experience), friendly, professional, and fair rates. They did a great (and fast)  job replacing a toilet for me and based on this experience I would certainly recommend them to others.

I'm in a 55+ condo development and a neighbor recommended Hopkins Plumbing.  A different neighbor, the one in the unit below me, was getting toilet water  dripping down his wall when we flushed our toilet.  My neighbor completely remodeled her kitchen, and she was very happy with all their work.
I called Hopkins and they were at my location within a couple hours.  The owner works with one other person.  They removed the toilet, replaced the seals and problem was solved.

I mentioned to Brian, the owner, that Horizon Services came out a few months ago to fix a leak in my sunk in tub.  They replaced the cartridges (hot and cold) but the faucet was still leaking.
The tech. from Horizon told me that major work would need to be done, tiles removed, and would require a construction team.  The cost of one cartridge part was $300 and labor was another $275.  I didn't pay for the service since nothing was fixed.
I turned off the water to the tub from the main water lines and decided not to use the tub ever again.

Brian took a look at the tub today, removed the new cartridges and told me that the two small pieces (they look like tiny screws and washers) were old and not replaced.  
He went to his truck, replaced the two small pieces, turned the water back on and NO LEAKS-
He knew exactly what the problem was, and the tech. from Horizon was just completely wrong.

He reset the toilet, replaced the seals, fixed my bathtub, and we're completely satisfied with his work and prices were very reasonable.

Needed plumbing work done and Mark (the owner and Master Plumber) was very responsive, efficient, and was on-site for all the work doing most of it himself with his son (also a plumber) assisting. Definitely a great company and person to deal with!

I owned my home for several years and had no ceiling light in my living room. My home was over 100 years old, so it was originally gas lighting. Manny placed 6 recessed lights in my living room ceiling and included a dimmer switch! Then he installed baseboard electric heaters in every room including my living room. He did an excellent job and I was very happy.

I worked with Matt on a unique plumbing issue and he was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. You can trust in A&P!

Greg is awesome!  We had a problem with our garbage disposal and our landlord hired Greg to fix it.  He was there *the next day*.  He handled the electric *and* plumbing!  Problem solved.

I was in need of prompt service, they were able to come out same day to diagnose my issue and performed the needed service the next day.

Quick turn around between appointment call and actual visit. Service man was professional and neat.

I was having issues in my house where appliances were turning off during operation and lights were flickering.

A google search indicated that this could be a fire hazard.  I called my usual electrician and waited.  After several hours of waiting and never hearing anything back I called four other electricians and didn't hear a single thing from any of them either.

I reached out to my plumber and asked for a recommendation -- he recommended JDV and they called me within a few minutes of me reaching out.  The woman on the phone was extremely polite and helpful and let me know someone could come out that same day.  She even called me prior to their arrival so I would have an idea when they would be here.

Joe was on-site and diagnosed the issue.  He was able to diagnose my problem quickly and was able to do the repairs the same week (permits were required so he had to come back).

Overall I am extremely happy with JDV -- I already recommended them to family members and will be using them for more work within the next few months.  You can't go wrong with JDV!

After having water issues with the plumbing connection to my washer, and two plumbers out to deal with this, the wash machine wouldn't turn on and the plumber thought it was an electrical issue.  I contacted iTech Electric and within an hour after hanging up the phone, an electrician was at my home.  Talk about great service!! The electrician (I didn't get his name and should have) listened to my story then proceeded to rule out what the problem was.  He checked the electrical panel and found the switch to the wash machine was off.  He turned on the switch and the wash machine turned on.  I was grateful for his expertise, that he listened before tearing through things, and all at no charge.  The next electrical issue I have will definitely be handled by iTech.  They are simply amazing and made my day since I wasn't having a good one.

He replaced my heater and ac system it was done quickly and at a very good price. The owner is a little quirky but very nice. I found he and his sons went about their work with efficiency. They left the workplace clean and  disposed of the old equipment. I would use them again .

I gave Generation 3 Electric almost no notice that I needed them to come to my home to rehang and wire my chandelier that had fallen.  Chad was incredibly polite, worked with my schedule, came over and got the job done within a half hour!  Fantastic service!

The experience with FMJ Electrical was exceptional from the start. A wonderful person answering the phone, smart and efficient. It was an emergency and they arrived so fast. Frank was very professional , his shirt was so clean and pressed. First impressions are everything! Frank and his crew fixed the electrical service in hours. His crew was well prepared, qualified and knowledgeable and they also recommended a inspector to come out to do a complete inspection for PECO. Everyone is so personable. Work ethics are top notch!!! I will definitely make use of their services again and will highly recommend. I was so impressed with the professionalism and level of expertise. Call them first!

From my tune-up w/ George that revealed a failing boiler to Bob showing up in 30 mins to estimate a replacement to Mike and Tim installing the new boiler in less than 24 hrs was TOTALLY beyond my expectation for a service call. My old boiler failed during an ARCTIC BLAST & with the coldest night time temp in over 8 yrs - single digits! My first-time experience speaks VOLUMES for a company READY, WILLING AND ABLE TO MEET THE CUSTOMER'S NEEDS, BIG AND SMALL. Regret not affiliating yrs ago. Most highly recommend to everyone!
P.S. Ladies taking service calls were TOP NOTCH all the way - a real pleasure to deal with.

The leak detection side of their offerings was fine.

However, I made the mistake of hiring them for their plumbing. Their plumber found the most roundabout, expensive way to resolve the issue and turned a $400-$500 fix into a $2500 fix.

Even once it was fixed, it started leaking again a few weeks later. This was supposed to be covered by my warranty, but they wanted more money.I ended up paying another $250 so they would do the fixe the way it should've been done in the first place.

If you use them to find your leak, do not under any circumstances hire them to fix anything.
