I received several quotes for a 240 V hook up for a new hot tub. GE electric was the best value. Edmond and two helpers showed up on time at 8:30 in the morning. They ran into an unforeseen obstacle with the slab which extended the job by half a day. The finished product is very professional and works perfectly. Edmond did not try to get more money for the added time nor did I hear any grumblings from any of them. They were a pleasure to work with and I will keep them in my contacts for future business. I highly recommend GE electric.

CJ and his team are thorough, hardworking, communicative and courteous. I needed to have my 100+ year-old home completely rewired from knob and tube electric. PG came out to restore power to our doorbell. They replaced the transformer quickly and without issue. They were right on time, professional, and did good work at a good price. Also good communication

Alex was great! He was nice, patient, reasonably priced, and efficient. It was very clear that he knows what he is doing and takes the time to explain some things about the electrical wiring in your house, if you're interested. I will definitely use him again.

These guys are awesome. Rod was very good with responding and getting time scheduled. Nate, the technician came out and was flawless. Extreme attention to detail made sure everything was just right. Didn't rush made sure I was comfortable with everything and adjusted heights until I was happy with it. Super tidy made sure the place was spotless before he left. Prices are extremely fair. Rest assured I have plenty more lighting projects for my new home and I know I am giving these guys a call again without a doubt. Highly recommended!

We had Joel come out to help us with a broken GFI outlet on the outside of our home.   He was so knowledgeable and friendly.  He explained what was wrong and how it needed to be fixed.  The price was very reasonable as well.  I recommend this company to anyone looking to have electrical work done, whether an urgent repair or if you are looking to do some upgrades.

I recently purchased a washer and dryer that were set to be delivered to my new home on Saturday. On Wednesday I realized that I did not have an outlet to put the washer on. I called Strickland Electric and told him what my situation was. He came out that same day to give me an estimate. The price was $25 cheaper than another estimate I received and he agreed to do the work before the washer and dryer were set to arrive. He arrived within the time frame he set and started right to work. He cleaned up his work area when done. Last he showed me how to turn the socket on and off and explained instances where it would turn off on its own. He was very polite and professional. Strickland Electric is going to be my go-to electrician from now on.

I've used Stahl Electric ever since I first moved to Philadelphia almost 20 years ago and they were recommended by Arch Street Lighting.  I've had them in my current house at least a half-dozen times for new outlets and light fixtures, as well as little things like fixing my doorbell and broken switches.  When Alex told me the last time he was here to install some new ceiling fixtures that I had knob and tube wiring that really should be replaced (something I'd always suspected due to the age of the house but didn't really want to know about), I decided I'd better just get it done instead of brooding about it.

Ira came to give me an estimate; he went over the whole house with me, explaining what would have to be done, counting all the fixtures, outlets, and switches so he could give me an accurate estimate (which ended up being exactly the price I paid, no unpleasant surprises at the end).  They were so busy that the rewiring had to be scheduled a couple of months later, but when the time came for the work they were able to put extra crews on the job and instead of the predicted week and a half it only took four days!

The guys who did the work were absolutely fantastic; they carefully covered everything with plastic (furniture, the clothes in my walk-in closet; I mean EVERYTHING) and dropcloths on the floors.  They made only very small holes in the walls, and not nearly as many as I expected, and patched them very nicely.  They cleaned up so thoroughly every day and moved my furniture back into place so perfectly that I could hardly tell they'd been there.

Matt was very good about explaining everything they were doing and letting me know when I had choices about things like the locations of switches and outlets.  And all the guys, several of whom I knew from earlier jobs in my house, like Louis and Alex, were friendly and courteous -- as Stahl's electricians have always been -- obviously mindful of the fact that they were invading my home and disrupting my life, and trying not to make it any more unpleasant than necessary.

I have to really mention Kelly in the office as well; she is always so helpful and friendly and efficient when I call that I couldn't ask for a better customer service experience.

I had been really dreading having to have the work done, but in the end it was not a bad experience at all and was over with so quickly that I was absolutely thrilled.  I will continue to use Stahl for all my electrical needs.  Thanks again, Ira, for running such a great company!

Working with Ilir from Alba electric was an absolute pleasure. Ilir and his team are extremely professional and competent. They replaced our entire power panel, add a 220 for our dryer and another few more jboxs and outlets. Our house is very old,  and mid remodel process we realized some outlets and jboxs were not working, Ilir and his team came right back and made sure to repair all items promptly. We tried to call several electrical companies in our area with no answer and no response despite leaving messages. We called CWC and our call was answered right away. Chris scheduled an appointment for us the same exact day. He was punctual, pleasant, professional, and he fixed our issues immediately. The pricing is great, the service unmatched. We were so impressed with his work that we've got him coming back later this week to get more things done! Definitely would recommend this company.

Once I found these guys, they responded right away and fixed our issue the following morning. I will definitely call them again next time I need an electrician.

I called this company on a hot summer day when my tenant called me and told me her power went off.  I was running around town with my two kids, so in a hurry I decided to call the first company I saw on yelp. I really wish I had taken more time to look for a more reputable company.

First, be aware that this company has multiple listings for different locations all over the city. If you look at their other listings, you will see the many poor reviews that they have received.

I received multiple phone calls from different people after my initial service request. They repeatedly told me that there is a $165 charge for emergency dispatch, and that once they do an inspection, they will let me know what the cost of the actual work will be. When the technician got to the house, a guy named Steven Miller called me and said he wanted me to pay the dispatch fee upfront before anything is done.  He then sent me an email to get my written authorization to charge the credit card. All of this seemed a bit odd to me... the multiple phone calls, the written authorization, the fee up front... but I didn't think too much of it and just proceeded.

About 10 minutes after I paid for the dispatch fee, Steve calls me back with his technician on the phone to tell me that they have to charge me another fee for the diagnostic. I told them that my understanding was after spending $165 they would be able to tell me what's wrong and give me an estimate on the cost of the work. He then proceeded to repeat everything that he and another one of his employees had already told me over the phone multiple times. I told him that I did not feel comfortable proceeding forward and that I was going to call around to see if other companies have similar practices. He then had his other employee (a woman with a courteous voice) call me to try to reason with me. I told her again that I was going to call around and if this is common practice, then that's fine, but if not then I will be leaving a long review for them.

I got off the phone with the woman and called another local electrician. This man was honest, prompt and straightforward. He came out within half hour and fixed the problem for me under 10 minutes and charged me a third of what Thomas Edison had quoted me for simply coming out and finding out what the problem is (not including any work done).

Needless to say, I will be sticking with my honest electrician from now on. Steve did call me again to tell me that he would not charge me the $165 as a courtesy to make me happy. I thought for a second about not leaving a bad review, but I decided that I cannot let this company get away with unethical practice. This company needs to know that people are not stupid and this kind of bait and switch business practice will only backfire. Simple honesty, trustworthiness and respect for people is the way to go.
