I needed some minor electric work done at my house to get a U&O Permit.

While these guys did the work properly and were friendly enough, their rates appear to be made up on the spot, with no breakdown of cost, and are ridiculously high.

They wanted $150 just to put in a panel directory, and charged me $800 for relatively minor electrical work. I didn't know any better, and was just desperate to get the certification at the time, but even the inspector suggested I was ripped off at that rate.

I asked for a breakdown of the cost at the time of the estimate, after finding out you guys wanted $150 for the directory, just to find out if there was something else I could take  out to DIY and save money. Your employee told me they don't have that, and it's just a general amount for the work in total.

If I knew you were charging $255 just to change a 20watt breaker to a 15w, I definitely  would have done that myself. Not sure why only after a bad review I'm
getting this breakdown, when I asked for it before.

I had an issue with one of my properties in port Richmond losing power in the kitchen and bathroom. We tried flipping the breakers off and on and that didn't work so needed a solution quick. I sent out a request on Yelp for electricians and Charles replied promptly. He offered emergency services to come out and troubleshoot at a reasonable rate (this was Friday night at 9pm) and mentioned if it could wait, it would be a lesser rate the next day. I decided on the next day and he offered me a generous time window. The next day he arrives half and hour early and texts me to give me a heads up and then he proceeds to work. In the end the voltage loss was due to wiring and he redid some of the wiring for a reasonable price. I was not at the property at the time but Charles gave me an option to view the invoice over email and make payment securely online. Overall I was thoroughly impressed with his response time and his ability to help me out when I was in a pickle without overcharging. Definitely will contact Charles again for future electric projects.

PG came out to restore power to our doorbell. They replaced the transformer quickly and without issue. They were right on time, professional, and did good work at a good price. Also good communication

I'd call them....amazing. The tech was very professional, knew exactly what to do, and completed the job. The cost was quite reasonable, as well. Our tech, Hector, arrived exactly when we were told. The team at Thomas Edison were really nice and easy to talk with. So, yeah, amazing.

PEM is a very knowledgeable and professional electrician company though not low cost. They took on a project to inspect and update all of the aluminum-copper junctions in our house. We had them install some new lighting fixtures as well. They were very conscientious about conforming to Lawrence Twsp code, buying extra tools to ensure tightening the connections to specifications. Then they worked with the inspector's schedule to support the Inspection.

Service was fast and the electrician was knowledgeable and thorough in diagnosing and resolving several wiring issues in my older home.

I was happy with the work done by EP Electric; they were very responsive in December when I needed 2 outdoor outlets replaced. They came within a day of the request sent to several electricians.  While at my house I asked for an estimate to have some switches changed to dimmers. The next time I needed an electrician was to change out some light fixtures. Again, EP Electric was pretty responsive and available in my timeframe. Since I had used them before, I was comfortable having them come out. When that job was complete, I again discussed the dimmers I wanted and we discussed when I wanted to get the work done.  We are working on a schedule for this week and I think it will really add to the ambiance of my house. Looking forward to it.

We couldn't be happier with the service from Todd and crew.  Professional service, cleaned up so good reasonable, so polite and an absolute joy to be around.  Our entire family will use this company from here on out...we can't be more happy.

Bob and Team were great. Prompt communication and super friendly. I had to get an gfci outlet installed and they came on time and briefly explained what they had to do. They also took the time to go over a few quotes with me.

I want to do additional work with them so book with them fast because they seem to getting jobs constantly.

Found him through yelp. Owner came out to do a free look and sent me a typed estimate. One his employees came back on promised date and installed 2 ceiling fans and 2 light fixtures.  Owner sent me receipt and remained professional and polite even when i fussed at him about something that was not his or his tech's fault. (That alone would've earned him 5 stars!)
This is my first home and of all the people I've contacted for different repair/maintenance services he has been the most professional, least pushy and decently priced. I'm sure I'll use him again.

We hired Stahl Electric to do a full rewire on our house to remove all of the old knob and tube wiring and upgrade to a 200 amp service. The job included adding a number of ceiling fans and light fixtures throughout the house, more electrical outlets, and a new doorbell. It was completed May-June 2017.

I can't say enough about the phenomenal job that Ira's team did for us!  The estimated time for the job to be completed was 4-6 weeks and they finished in exactly 4. Every morning, the guys (Lou and Alex) showed up right on time. I'm at home with a new baby at the moment so I was around a lot while they were working. They were extremely polite, friendly, and answered all of my questions knowledgeably. They did a full day's work, and always spent the last 30-40 mins of each day cleaning up, vacuuming any bits left on the floor, and moving furniture back to where they found it. You could barely tell they had been there after they left!

Another thing I really appreciated was that they knew we were very concerned with keeping the job as close to the original estimate as possible. So they always pointed out when unexpected things came up, and gave us options of how the issue could be handled.

Finally, now that the job is complete, we have a few, VERY SMALL places where we need to spackle and touch up paint but nowhere near what I assumed we might be left with after a huge job like this. It's almost like magic!  They replaced all of the old wiring in our house and you can barely see any evidence that they were here at all. And now our house is safer, more comfortable to live in, and our homeowners insurance is going down by more than 50% per year!

We'll absolutely use Stahl Electric for all of our electrical needs in the future and would 100% recommend them for any job, big or small.

Alba showed up on time and did a great job installing our Nest doorbell. They were extremely courteous and cleaned up any mess made from the installation. Will definitely use them again for any electrical needs in the future.

Chris did a great job on doing the electric work to enable a garbage disposal to be installed. He also installed GFCI outets, an above the sink light and additional switch. He communicated the job effectively, worked hard throughout the project and was reasonably priced. He ensured that the area was clean when he left. I talked to him about another possible job in the future. He knows his business. Will use again. Highly recommend.

Joe showed up in a mask and upgraded our circuit breaker professionally and quickly. I tried reaching several electricians before getting ahold of Thomas Edison Electric, and they were non-responsive. Once I found these guys, they responded right away and fixed our issue the following morning. I will definitely call them again next time I need an electrician.

Brian and Michael arrived as scheduled and were very professional and polite. They worked quickly and efficiently. I now have a dedicated outlet for my new over the range microwave.  If needed I would gladly use them again!

Love this company and the two staff electricians that were dispatched to my home. I was pretty nervous to contact an electrician from an online google search, but I was pleasantly surprised. They were honest, fast, explained well and repaired shoddy electrical work that I had done. I am truly grateful that they quickly restored electricity to my home, in time for my first Thanksgiving in my new home!
