I would recommend Mark and JB Plumbing wholeheartedly. Personable, efficient, and willing to schedule service on a moment's notice. Truly tries to accommodate his client, working around schedules, et cetera. I have used this service twice and on both accounts Mark was quick, efficient, and honest both in terms of price and his availability. No windows like a cable service, he truly arrives right at the scheduled appointment time making the client's life much more manageable. Would absolutely recommend!

Had a slow running bathroom drain. They were 1.5 hours late, but I had told them I was home all day, so it wasn't a big deal. They snaked it quickly, and they were in and out in about 30 mins. The price was very competitive as well.

Brandon has provided top quality plumbing service for our home on several occasions. He is responsive, knowledgeable, transparent about what needs to be done, timely in providing a quote, 100% dependable/reliable to get the job done on the timeline he provides, is an excellent communicator, and takes pride in his work. We recommend Brandon highly and with full confidence.

Warren is great to work with. He did a fantastic job on an emergency sewage repair I needed to do at my property. He also came promptly and took care of an issue with a leak in the basement. Will definitely be using him in the future, thanks!

They are not thorough...they do not have appropriate equipment to do a proper job...added the cost of toilet seat removal which ended up being more than the cost of having them come out for the drain clean.
Added to all this, they did a shoddy job...I will NOT recommend them!

2/11/19 Update
The agreed upon rate was $125 an hour for repair of the pipe. There was never any mention of the charge being per person as there was never any mention of an accompanying assistant. Bottome line, there was either a charge for the work performed for free or there wasn't and if there was I should have been notified upfront so as to make an informed decision about whether I wanted to proceed and for which tasks, but for JS to act in the manner of pro bono and then inflate the cost of an agreed upon job after the fact IS dishonest. Yelpers take note.

1. How niceness (is this even a word), can be deceiving?
I didn't realize right away that I had actually contacted JS in December for a nagging issue with my water heater only to be told he was too busy to help at that time. Now, having a situation in late January, where I had no heat, no hot water and a clogged sink with a jammed garbage disposal, I was at my brink and sent a mass message to most of Yelp. 41 degree house? Fine, dress like an Eskimo, heat one room like a sauna. No hot water? Does the stove work? Do I have a pot? Yes, to both? Then what's the problem?? But couple those two issues with, single kitchen sink clogged and suddenly it's hell on earth. This time, John responded within minutes, after hours, while enroute to an emergency call on a Friday (nice, right?). He was booked thru the weekend, but agreed to check his schedule and get back with me by Monday. He called on Tuesday, able to stop by in 2 hours. Luckily, I was able to be home. By the time John arrived, me, a handy friend thousands of miles away and Youtube, resolved the clog, but in all my understanding  and my friend's expert explaining, I couldn't fix the garbage disposal. John took 10 seconds to connect a loose hose and 20 seconds to explain how it all works, for no apparent charge (nice, right?). John took a look at the water heater, which may or may not need to be replaced and by chance at the furnance also. In thouroughly explaining the system to me (nice,right?), we found a leak in one of the pipes. John agreed to return in 2 days to fix both issues. Price: Water heater replaced at $1200 and $100/per hour for the cracked pipe. I passed on the work for the water heater, having already received a more competitive quote. Without the work for the water heater, the charge for the pipe work would be $125/hour. Sure.

2. How does 1x1 equals 3?
Having had the same work done previously (& recently), which I observed from start to finish, and having consulted people that I know and trust before John arrived, I knew the job should be straightforward, relatively simple (it was both) and take no longer than an hour (though John somehow guesstimated 3-4 hours). For whatever reason, (you be the judge) in all his experience and having seen the exterior pipe he would be working on, when John arrived, he claimed to not have any of the necessary replacement supplies (i.e. the standard 3/4 90 (basic elbow) and a 3/4 union pipe). Not sure that I buy that a 17-year plumber that drives a van and presumably has repaired countless pipes, didn't know what would be needed beforehand AND didn't already have the supplies. If not, what a waste of the van's space and so said experience. While you're at it, you may as well tell me that the earth is flat too. At any rate, he left for nearly an hour, obviously at my expense. All told the actual work lasted hardly an hour at best, but with included 1 hour trip to supply store, 2 hours. Lucky me, I have a security camera, so I can be accurate with times. Arrived-8:55. Left- 9:22. Returned- by 10:05. All work completed-10:51. $125x1= $125 right? Not with JS-BS math, as my total was $350. I didnt contest it initially, expecting the invoice to explain further. I don't cheat, I'm not conniving and I have morals, so if I owe you, I'll certainly pay. Instead, the invoice I received (which I checked in email after he left-major no,no I now know) shows one line item for a single, inexplicable, overpriced total. I've reached out requesting clarification twice, by email on the day of service and by text the following day. Two full days have now passed with no response. Guess he's really busy.

3. Why it's IMPOSSIBLE to find credible (read, honest) contractors in Philly?
Enough said.

Rating: Decent work, Bamboozle Pricing  -20 stars for the riduclous pricing. 22 stars for the solid work and patient service. TOTAL: 2 stars

What a great experience.  I messaged him and he got back to me right away with a quote to fix a running toilet.  He came the next day, on a weekend, and fixed it right away.  He was so nice to my wife and I and updated us throughout.  Definitely will call him again when we need plumbing help.

These guys just saved my New Years Eve from total disaster. I had water leaking through the ceiling from a toilet upstairs, and these guys were here, identified the issue, and fixed it all in a few hours...on a weekend, and on a holiday!! Thanks guys!

We were having issues with the outdoor sewer backing up into the grass.  Called Rick and his team and they responded tentatively.  The gentleman arrived on time and snaked roots that were over grown into pipes. Our hot water tank cracked and started leaking suddenly. Mike came over the same day and was able to install new unit within 48hours. It is evident that he knows his business and does things the right and safe way. Have been looking for a reliable plumber for years! Mike is the guy.

We had a water leak for over a month that was continually getting worse. The landlord sent another plumbing company who replaced the water heater but the leak didn't stop. Two other people came and couldn't solve it.  John Neill came out and found the leak within 2 hours, was back the next morning with a saw to cut the floor open and had it fixed within two hours!  Highly recommended. Super professional, respectful, knowledgeable and A+++ service.

I can not say Enough about this company!! I read the reviews and called for them to fix things throughout our 55 plus year old home. We had toilets replaced, faucets changed, pipe work upgraded. A day full of improvements. Tim is outstanding! We worked with him the most, He is such an asset and so professional. Eitan was wonderful as well. Very polite and hardworking. Joe the owner came over and helped as well. I highly recommend this company. We spent a good amount but we had quite a bit of work done that was much needed.
The work is warranted for a year. I would definitely use this company again!!! I am so thrilled that other yelps directed me to this outstanding team.

Was able to get out to the job I had fairly fast. Gave great advice and did a job well done.

During a late afternoon last week I noticed a leak under our sink. When I held the drain pipe to tighten the trap, the pipe broke in-two between the trap and the sink. Later that day, within minutes following my request Zip To Zip Plumbing contacted me, and an hour after that their plumber arrived on time and quickly fixed the drain. His work looks good.

The price given made no sense for the proposed work. He could have just said he didn't want the job instead of insulting me. Women and novices get a second quote.

I have SO MUCH gratitude towards Mike from My Plumber- I called because of a kitchen sink backflow/leak- he took the time to hear what the presenting issue was over the phone and diagnosed the issue (clog in the building's main water line, not my pipes) just from hearing details of the story, and gave me advice for what to do to get the issue solved, even though he didn't make any money off the transaction and didn't end up doing the job. He could sense I was nervous about the issue and was super encouraging. This just goes to show how truly knowledgeable and actually just a kind person Mike is. Definitely will call them for future plumbing needs.

Wow what a great team!

Needed to replace the hot water heater and not only did the team of professionals quote pricing for a decent temporary fix, but also competitively quoted the cost for a full replacement (incl. labor).  We went with the replacement and couldn't be more pleased!

Both quotes were very competitive! Service was fast and comprehensive. Didn't take long to schedule the prelim evaluation or the replacement service/repairs.

Very responsive and quoted me a great price.
Kevin was the worker who came out and he was friendly and explained exactly what needed to be replaced and showed me the finished product after.

I would recommend this business and would be using them again.
