Super reliable and responsive!! We've worked with a lot of plumbers over the years and Mark and his team were absolutely the best.  We ran into all sorts of plumbing issues when we bought a house- big (full water line replacement needed) and small. Mark and his team handled it all and was even willing to work with our insurance company. Mark will definitely be our first call if any issues come up in future!

They responded quickly to my request to inspect and clear out a very badly clogged sewer drain. They completed the job quickly at a very reasonable price and gave very good advice to remove a tree on my sidewalk that was endanger of seriously damaging underground pipes between the house and curb, potentially saving me thousands of dollars!

Brandon came out for an emergency toilet repair. He was thorough and friendly and courteous. I would recommend him to anyone in Manayunk, Roxbourough and surrounding areas and will call him again for future projects.

I am in the trades myself so I know how one is supposed to act and conduct business.  And Warren checks all of the boxes. He is polite, on time, has a great professional attitude and his prices are fair. I have used Warren multiple times for drain cleaning services. He is the only drain cleaner that I recommend to all of my customers. And on top of everything he's a really good guy. In my book you can't ask for anything more.

I personally don't like to read a book when going through reviews so in a nutshell, I had another company who came out, took a look and said I need a sewer line replacement because they said the line can't be cleared.  Well, I wanted second opinion and am soooo glad I got one.  Kit came out and BAM!  He cleared it!  Saved me money!  
When he came, I told him the whole story, how the prior company told me I need a sewer line replacement and so I'm ready to do it if he gives me a better price.  He actually cleared it, no replacement needed!  He could've just gave me a slightly less quote and milked more money from me but he didn't.

Among the bad experiences I have had with contractors, what happened with Goodman Plumbers is in a category of its own as being an act of pure evil. This happened on September 17, 2018, five months ago, but I have been deliberately waiting to make sure the way the problem was ultimately solved did the trick.

The background is as follows. Two workmen came to install a new washer, and to do so they turned  off the house's main water pipe.  Old and much mended, the pipe burst from the pressure, spewing water everywhere until they turned off all the water in the house.  It was already early evening and they began calling all the plumbers they knew to see  who could come repair the pipe that very evening. The person who agreed to come (for $175) was Stan from Goodman Plumbers.  He said I had the original iron pipes and this meant that a very large section of the pipe would have to be replaced. The cost? $2000. And he couldn't do the job until the morning, so we'd have no water all night.

He had me over a barrel and he knew it.  It was getting late, people lived in the house, and I needed to put a solution in place. But $2,000 out of the blue? Somehow I found the strength to look him in the face and, to his great surprise,  say no.  Stan stormed out in a rage.  The washing machine installers found me another plumber, who drove over. He was shocked by how Goodman Plumbers had handled the matter. He fixed the pipe for $450 with a repair that was far less radical and which, five months later, is working just fine.

Rick came by to address some concerns I had from a previous general contractor doing some work in my shower. He gave me so much information and was so kind. He also introduced me to a great electrician who will be helping me upgrade my electrical panel. Excellent company to work with!

I hope this review makes it to the recommended page instead of the not recommended page. It makes Yelp look dishonest when they hide good reviews as not recommended.  The not recommended reviews there look similar to the recommended page, positive.    I also hope Yelp puts this on the recommended list, so people can see more up to date reviews that are hidden.       BTW....I still love you and need you and recommend you Yelp, just would like to see more fair business practices by you.                              For my review......

I'm afraid if I tell everyone how great Miller Plumbing is, he will get too busy and I will have to wait a long time to get him back.  Mike Miller has so far, in our opinion, been professional, prompt when scheduled, there for you in an emergency, and his prices are competitive.  In addition, this guy knows about electric and plumbing, so if you need to install or remove  something involving water and electric (like my dishwasher), he knows how to shut off the water, disable the electric switch in the breaker box that goes to the appliance, AND he knows wiring as a result of so many years having to do both.  Many of the Home Depot /Lowes delivery guys don't know how to do installations, so they try their best, and often people end up with leaks and problems.  it is also a 3 hr job to take out and then install a new dishwasher.  Home Depot quoted me $70 for installation, which sounded low.  it was.  Mike says the whole job for him would be $285 including new valve, for three hours work, which is competitive.  Home Depot and Lowes tell you $70 for the install, then they arrive, and tell you that you don't have the right part needed to do the install, and that a plumber will have to come and cut a few pipes, and add a new cut off valve.  This is so the hard/dangerous job is done for them.  also, the delivery/install guys arrived at 8 a.m. And as they were leaving at 8:15, I heard one guy on the phone with the scheduler, complaining that he had twelve more deliveries, with a few of them being installs.  So, it appears they do the you don't have the right setup and parts thing to lessen their schedule.     Several people have reported this problem recently in our area.   Apparently this is to buy them time, especially since three hours will eat up their time.    So you end up paying a plumber, and then supposedly they come back another day to finish the $70 job.  I have heard that often, they never even come back, and service doesn't return calls for help to finish job.  We shall see....they are supposed to call tomorrow afternoon with the time to come back to install the next day after Mike has been here.  I am probably stupid letting them come back to save $100, but this month, I have to do it.  All the hassle with Home Depot and Lowes is not worth it.  Better to call Mike to do the whole job well and at a competitive price for a plumber who knows electric. He is also nice, courteous, and a perfectionist and we have used him successfully 4 times for very different problems.  Even my parents are thrilled with Miller Plumbing.  Great...now I've said too much....never could keep a good thing to myself.

UPDATE: 1 Month Later....changed my mind about letting Home Depot do the job.  Decided Mike was the guy, he came, did the whole thing in 3 hrs with his assistant, cleaned up totally and took away old dishwasher all for the price quoted.  I just didn't want to deal with plumbing problems down the line because I wanted to save a hundred bucks.  All is running well now, thanks to Mike!

We use John Neill for our 2 mixed-use buildings in Fishtown and for our plumbing at home. They are friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and great to work with. I highly recommend them.

Just had my kitchen drain repaired going into the main stack. Billy arrived before estimated time (which was good), was courteous and got the job done. Plumbing isn't cheap but my feeling is that they are not high priced. They will be my go-to plumber next time.

Our sump pump broke and our basement flooded. I contacted Bommer after hours through yelp asking questions and getting quotes and they responded right back to me! They came the next next morning and installed our new sump pump. Jim was so helpful and knowledgeable! Thank you again Jim!

Leo came out the same day, only an hour to two after I called. He gave me the lowest quote, and actually told me how much it was going  to be to snake the toilet. The other companies I called could not give me a quote to snake a toilet, and told me they may have to remove the toilet, it could go upwards of $700, they needed my card information before they could tell me when they could come out, etc. this company made it very easy, and my toilet was easily snaked the same day in less than ten minutes. Amazing!!

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!

He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. If prefer to work with someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, go with Chris!

Very helpful guys. Ended up saying that I don't need them and could work through the problem myself, gave me some pointers on how to do it and didn't take my money. Will definitely use them when I really do have a need.

Kevin H. came out to fix our kitchen sink drain within 45 mins of my initial call. He was courteous and fast, fixing all of our problems!! Not many companies do free estimates anymore it was great to see. Definitely recommend

Our hot water heater busted late in the afternoon, so by the time I started asking around for quotes, it was after business hours. Kevin responded quickly (within an hour-ish?), gave me a quote right away, and answered all my questions. (and I had a lot of questions!) His quote was very reasonable---and, it stayed consistent. The price he quoted was the price I paid.

When I asked him to check on a warranty thing, he said he'd call the supplier in the morning, which he did. This might seem like a small thing, but he was the only one who responded to my late night message with, I'll verify this, instead of trying to hurry me into a decision.

This next part seems pretty basic? But I promise it's not. *He actually answered messages consistently, and showed up when he said he would.* OK??

He did a professional, quick installation, and again, answered all my questions when I had them. I hope we never have water heater or plumbing issues again... but if/when we do, we will call him.
