After seeing the reviews here I decided to call Mark at JB Plumbing and Heating about my toilet, which would not flush- at all, in addition to overflowing onto the floor three times in the past week. I called at 3pm Monday and he said he could be here the next morning but understood if I wanted to call around, as it is the only bathroom in my house. I said okay, let me call you back and went to look around for other plumbers. After an hour of looking through reviews of any plumbers I could find I was feeling more and more desperate for a reliably reviewed one, so I called Mark back. He took down my information, verified my street's location (a small side street that only exists for a few blocks) and the arrival time. He said he had a job scheduled for 7:30 in the morning and asked what my schedule was like and what time I needed to leave for work in the morning and offered to come over beforehand at 6:45am. I said that I'd be home all day and he said he could come at 6:45 or 8:30 and left it to my preference- we agreed on 8:30. At 8:30 the next morning he was at my front door handing me his card and a call magnet (to 'verify his identity' and all). He looked at everything that needed done (a working toilet was the priority, he also looked at the sink and shower which need repairs of significantly lesser urgency) and after seeing the toilet and asking about any other draining issues, said I needed a whole new toilet. This is exactly what I expected to hear- it was very old, had clearly been replaced in bits and pieces (which he also noted) and was way overdue to be replaced- I'd even been told last April by another contractor, who had previously proven trustworthy, that it was really on its last legs. Actually, I was downright thankful to hear that he'd replace it (rather than trying to sell doing some patchy stuff that maybe would buy a couple more months and end up being more expensive, as some lesser apt contractors might be prone to do). He took down my landlord's number and said he'd call her and get back to me.
Five minutes later I got a call saying he was out front. He'd spoken to my landlord already, got an okay to do work on the toilet (and the other work next month, by my landlord's preference) and asked about my schedule. He said he wasn't sure he could get it in later today after another job, but would pick up a new toilet for me this afternoon and could be here in the morning, impending snow storm allowing, and would call me later.
Two hours later I got a call saying he was on his way to pick up the new toilet and could be here in half an hour if it was okay with my schedule. I cleared everything I could out of the bathroom (because it is very small) and he was here in exactly half an hour. He and his assistant, Steve, unloaded everything (still in original packaging), parked and were working within ten minutes. He estimated thirty minutes for the work. Steve put drop cloths over all the carpeting outside the bathroom and under their toolbox, took all the pieces from the old toilet outside in boxes as soon as they were coming out, kept everything neat and orderly and had all the new pieces assembled and ready to go. They checked in with each other that each item was ready and all tightening and whatnot was done and seemed to be a good and conscientious team. Due to poor craftsmanship (i.e. totally wrong) by a prior contractor, a tile piece, which was stuck with the old toilet, came up and needed to be patched, which they took the time to do very nicely. The job took maybe forty minutes rather than the estimated thirty, but in forty minutes they took out the old toilet, boxed and disposed of (took with them to dispose of) all the old pieces and all rubbish, bits, etc. created, replaced the entire toilet (and seals), patched in the floor around it (an unexpected ten minutes), cleaned the bathroom and their prep area and were completely finished.
I would definitely recommend Mark (and Steve) to anyone. They were professional, very courteous, prompt, remarkably efficient and kindly entertained all my questions about whats and whys. In 22 hours I went from initial contact to having a completely new toilet and clean bathroom. Mark really seems like the kind of contractor that does the work that needs to be done and does it right because his reputation is attached to it. This is a number I will definitely keep in my phone for future use and will call again for my sink and shower repairs later.
-On another note, I happened to be off and home for the day already, but I would feel comfortable with these two coming in and doing work if I couldn't be here.

From the first contact over the phone with April through the project with Anthony and Steve, I had a great experience. We had a clog in our sink drain which affected the disposal, dishwasher in addition to the drain itself. It started causing leaks under the sink which we weren't sure was even related when we called them. We also had a faucet which wouldn't run any hot water for some reason - only cold. I called Economy at 11:00 AM, April said she could have someone there between 12-1pm. Anthony called around 12:15 and said he was about 4 minutes away. They assessed the situation and Steve got to unclogging the drain right away. After that, they reinstalled the disposal, and reconnected the dishwasher to the drain, installed the new faucet (we bought ourselves the day before) and were out by 2:00. I would definitely recommend Economy and will use them again any time I have any plumbing work.

Top notch customer service right here! I had a leak spring up on my main pipe feeding the entire house. Called this company and Brandon had asked to send pictures so he could estimate a quote. At this point, I had two other quotes who were priced very high. Brandon came back extremely reasonable, but wasn't able to get out to my house until after the weekend, on Monday. I explained I had that it was an emergency and I am not sure I could wait that long. When he heard me say that I shut off the water to the entire house, he said he'll call right back, and next thing I know, a guy (Eric) was on his way. Couldn't be more happier with that right there.
Eric came on by, took a quick look, ran out and guy a couple of parts. He fixed the issue within 10 minutes. Extremely professional, quick, and explained everything to me of what he did.
This is the first time I used this company, but certainly not the last. Do yourself a favor. If you're reading this review, call them up and get an estimate. That's the least you could do.
Thank you again Brandon and Eric. Much appreciated!

I called and asked for a written estimate because that's what businesses usually do, I was willing to pay for one but was denied because I wasn't sure who I wanted to hire for the job...Warren told me what he thought the problem might be, gave me a price and asked me to text him my info, I received no response after that. I sense a little arrogance with this company, No Thanks and moving on to the next one...

Literally could not recommend more highly. They fixed a leak in my shower and then also replaced the same problem in another bathroom as a preventative measure. Reasonable prices, affable crew, quick responses and high-quality work. I would choose them again for any plumbing work in a heartbeat.

John is amazing!! Our pipes backed up flooding our basement not allowing showers or the use of the bathrooms this happened after hours during the Covid19 situation. We called multiple plumbers finally getting one and when they never showed up we called John he was out in 30 mins and fixed our issue, he came with all the PPE to make us comfortable, did his job quickly and proficiently I would highly recommended him to anyone.

I noticed I had a leaking shutoff valve under my toilet, looked on yelp for plumbers and noticed Plumbing and Things had great reviews so i sent a quote request (this was on Friday evening) Kit actually called me back about an hour later. I described what was going on, he told me what the problem most likely was and gave me a price, I agree because it was a good price. He was able to come out the next morning, he was on time , very professional and was very nice. The problem was exactly what he said it was, he completed the job and even cleaned up the area. The price was what he said no add ons and no surprises. I definitely would recommend calling Kit and getting Plumbing and Things for any job you may have.

Had the joy of waking up to a broken water heater and 2 inches of water in my (thankfully unfinished) basement. I called Goodman at 8:15 a.m., and they had two guys here by around 10 a.m. They quoted me a fair price for replacing the water heater (with a good quality one and warranty, etc.), taking out the old one, adding necessary connections, etc. They were done with everything before noon. They did a fair job of getting out the worst of the pooled water too. Although these kinds of emergency repairs are no fun, at least I was able to get it fixed and have hot water back on the same day. Will definitely use Goodman again for plumbing needs.

Rick Lucas is the best plumber in the area hands down. Rick and I have worked together for over 25 years. Quick example - today we had a plumbing underground inspection and passed without a problem. To quote the inspector verbatim he said it's nice to deal with professionals. Probably the best compliment around. It's a pleasure to work with Rick and I will continue to use him for all our plumbing needs!

We hired Mike to replace a toilet and sink in our half bath. His quote was competitive, and we really appreciated that he took the time to recommend new fixtures that would work well for our bathroom -- fixtures which were reasonable in price and easy to find at Lowes. He was able to do the work in our tight timeline, cleaned up after himself and was friendly and respectful while in our home. A few days after install, we noticed a slight leak in the new toilet which turned out to be a manufacturing defect. Mike was at our house ten minutes after we called him about it, and went out of his way to fix the issue even though it was in no way his fault. We are so glad to have found Miller Plumbing and will use this company for all our future plumbIng needs. Can't recommend Mike highly enough.

Jack (the owners son) installed a new fixtures for my bathroom and I couldn't be happier. It took him a little longer than usual b/c of unexpected problems with the pipes and he didn't overcharge me on the count of it. Very considerate and nice. I am very happy to have a reliable plumber (they actually called me back and came when they said they would!) I highly recommend this company.

Quick friendly honest service and no hidden charges. Technicians Billy and Joe were polite, professional and kept me up to date during the install. Will use this company over and over.

Main drain backed up into the basement and needed it snaked on a Sunday morning. Bommer had an emergency line and came out within 90min of phone call. Emergency/weekend fee was very reasonable! Started working immediately. Back to normal within an hour. Technician was knowledgeable and gave us recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and potential support from the township. Would absolutely recommend! Great price and service.

Leo came out the same day, only an hour to two after I called. He gave me the lowest quote, and actually told me how much it was going to be to snake the toilet. The other companies I called could not give me a quote to snake a toilet, and told me they may have to remove the toilet, it could go upwards of $700, they needed my card information before they could tell me when they could come out, etc. this company made it very easy, and my toilet was easily snaked the same day in less than ten minutes. Amazing!!

I want to thank Chris Williams for what he did for my wife and I today. We were watching water seep into our house from a pipe outside. I called several plumbers and everyone told me they could not help because they were booked solid. When I spoke to the nice young lady at Williams Precision Plumbing (sorry, I didn't remember her name), she told me they too were booked solid. However, she sounded truly sorry to tell me that, so I felt comfortable asking her if she could recommend someone who might be able to help. She agreed. Within a minute or so, Chris Williams got on the phone and calmly asked me to explain what was going on. After listening to my explanation, he suggested that I text him some pictures of the outdoor pipe I was speaking about, which I did. Within 5 minutes, he told me that the reason the shutting off of the main water valve in the house didn't help, was because this was an irrigation pipe. He told me to trace the pipe back into the house and find another valve that would control the irrigation system. He did all of this, while calmly apologizing that he couldn't come by right away because they were involved in a major job where an inspector was present. I followed Chris' advice and within 5 minutes was able to identify the correct shutoff valve and the water finally stopped running. In an age where many will not go out of their way to offer help unless they are directly profiting from their assistance, Chris offered help because he is a true professional and a very decent guy. You can rest assured, the next time we need a plumber, Chris will be the first person I call.

I have never been more impressed in my life with service that this company provided. The plumbers, Mike and Bernie were outstanding. They were on time, quickly installed my hot water heater, cleaned up and left in just about an hour. They provide a great service and they are great human beings. The price was probably the best I could've ever got. I highly recommend my plumber to anybody out there in south Philly Or anywhere else in the city if you need an honest reliable trustworthy plumber. Thank you

We had a clogged drain pipe outside and the rain was getting into our basement. After multiple plumbers said they couldn't handle that type of work, we got Mr. Rooter on the schedule ASAP. Lenny came first thing in the morning and completely fixed the issue. He said he's seen it all and assured me he could get the job done, and he did. Extremely reasonable prices compared to some of the other quotes we were given. Lenny rocks!

It's never good when you have a plumbing issue at 4pm on a Thursday. After calling a ton of folks and not hearing back from anyone and searching emergency plumbing Philly I stumbled upon Vinko plumbing and now have a new plumber in Kevin! He was very responsive, did the work thoroughly, walked me through what was wrong, what he could fix now, and what we should do later, and was an all around nice guy. Highly recommend him for your plumbing needs!
