My water heater needed replacing. After my umpteenth headache with my home warranty company (and the typical dragging of feet that came with their hired contractor), I reached out to JB Plumbing, based purely on the Yelp reviews. After hanging up the phone, Mark was at my door within an hour (!!!), gave me a diagnosis and price, and offered to replace the water heater that day. (They were actually more available that day than I was.)

Mark and I kept in touch via text, sorting out the time and payment arrangements. Less than 24 hours from initially contacting them, I had a new quality water heater. Brian and his crew even checked out our boiler, which had also stopped working, and gave a lot of helpful advice.

When dealing with a home warranty company, it's easy to forget how a company can actually be responsive, responsible, and efficient. JB Plumbing is the real thing.

Manuel and Daniel got my tough clogging issue resolved within an hour. They were polite and professional and took care of a very difficult issue. They even drove further than they normally do to get the job done. Great prices and service. I would highly recommend.

We had a slow leak from a section of cast iron drain pipe that wasn't replaced when the rest of the plumbing was upgraded. Brandon was amazing. He communicated clearly every step of the way, was timely, professional, and knew exactly what to do. Completed whole job in less than 4 hours and left the house spotless. This guy is outstanding. We're very grateful.

I had a cracked trap under bathroom sink so I bought the trap and a faucet to replace the old ones. He gave me a price of 295 to replace the trap which is the U shaped part that I bought by the way. But the 295 was ok...but he then said in order to install the faucet it would be over 700 hundred dollars.  All the while never getting out of his van but instead sent his worker in to check it out. I don't know if the job was too small for him so he over priced it but he clearly wasn't interested in working that job unless I overpaid for it. Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

The job was well done and the workers we nice guys.  They did the work in one day, including digging up my sidewalk and then cementing it.  They workers showed up with masks.  They also cleaned up their boot tracks on their way out.  These guys are my plumbers now.

Wouldn't choose anyone else for my plumbing needs. Kit was professional and maintained constant communication throughout the entire process. Had issues with my bathroom toilet and tub for years that I thought would not get resolved after going through multiple people for help. Kit was the one who figured it out, and I couldn't be more grateful to him for it and I know who I'll be contacting in the future.

I have used Goodman several times. Not only has everyone who has come out been fast, efficient, fair, friendly and explained everything so I could understand. They also helped with figuring out my unique situation of having my wheelchair and sink pipes fighting.

Highly recommended!  I needed a plumber to fix something I tried doing myself (water supply line for an ice maker) but I screwed it up and needed a pro.  In the meantime a bucket was catching the drips.

Earlier in the day I had a plumber come from one of the bigger companies whose trucks I have seen in our area for years, come give an estimate.  He took a look, said he had to go call the boss, then came back with an absurdly high estimate.

Using Yelp I found Rick Lucas plumbing locally and called.  Rick answered the call, said he could be there within 1-2 hours, would call first.  He called back as promised and arrived shortly thereafter.

Rick took a look at what was needed.  He also determined that some additional copper piping adjacent to what I messed up needed to be repaired as it was corroded, and verbally gave me a price.

Rick not only replaced all the necessary piping including the additional areas that he recommended, he also added the necessary fittings and connections and shutoff valve and flexible steel supply hose and completed the connection to our new refrigerator.  Rick worked non-stop, and is professional, courteous and friendly, and cleaned up afterwards.

Best of all his price was 33% less than the first place that came.  (Plus I returned the parts I previously bought to Home Depot and Lowes so saved even more).

I am very pleased that I had Rick Lucas Plumbing do this job at our home, and wouldn't hesitate to call him the next time I need a plumber.

We needed help with our shower plumbing on a Saturday afternoon and could not find a plumber that was available. However, Mike answered his phone right away and was able to come over.  He only works until 4pm on Saturdays but stayed at our house helping us until at least 5pm.  My boyfriend loves to learn all things home reno related, so mike took the time to show him the problem and teach him how to fix it.  His prices were great and he was very honest and helpful. Would DEFINITELY recommend!

We use John Neill for our 2 mixed-use buildings in Fishtown and for our plumbing at home. They are friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and great to work with. I highly recommend them.

Billy was amazing.  I called on a Sunday and he was here within less than an hour.  He tore through the task like it was nothing and then done.  Fast, efficient and absolutely professional.  I would recommend Billy and Valdel plumbing to anyone.

Great service so far. Called them out tonight on emergency hot water heater flood. Came out within an hour and it was after 9:30pm. Keith was awesome and explained everything to me. They will be out first thing tomorrow to replace and get us back up and running. Thank you Keith.

Our garbage disposal broke so I sent out inquiries via Yelp. Within minutes, Zip to Zip called and scheduled an appointment to come the next morning. They arrived exactly when they said they would down to the minute. They did a great job replacing the garbage disposal and the price was very fair. If I have any more plumbing needs I will definitely hire them again!

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!

He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. If prefer to work with someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, go with Chris!

Stay away - they can't be trusted.  I took time off of work to get an estimate on 5 jobs in my house.  They canceled my appointment the first time because they ran too late on other jobs.  I was flexible, we rescheduled for the following week.  After the technician looked at the jobs, he said no problem - you'll receive an estimate in a few hours - we can knock everything out in a half day.  It's two weeks later and no estimate, no response from business even after I left a message.  And believe it or not, I'm a repeat customer!  My experience was similar to Patrick C who posted on 7/23/19.  I just read other posts - the owner seems to apologize A LOT after the fact.  If you run a business properly, you don't have to apologize so often.  The owner should probably retire or sell his business to someone who cares.

Our hot water heater died suddenly in the middle of the night. We called Mr. Rooter and they sent someone out immediately the next morning. Good, fast, polite work! Would highly recommend - Sean & PJ were fantastic and walked me through all repairs prior to doing them. Will definitely use again.

Vinko came out quick.  The job was on our old house with a copper drain that leaked at the I bend.  Quickly shored it up and now we can use our bathroom again.  The price was also very reasonable.  No unnecessary upsells. Very appreciative of the work they did.
