I wanted to follow up with 2 points:

1) The repairs from last time have been fine.  No more poo smell in the basement and first floor.

2) We recently had a clog that backed up our dishwasher and kitchen sink.  I called Mark around 5pm on Wednesday, he picked up, I described the problem, and he said he could probably send someone the next morning because he had to go to NJ to continue some repairs stemming from super storm Sandy.  Then, he offered to come out himself if I could be available at 6:45am.  I thought that was an amazing offer.  Ultimately, I was able to unclog the pipes and canceled, but I thought it was worth expressing that Mark was willing to come out that quickly.

these guys were punctual, and straightened out my issues pretty quickly. Very personable and chatty as well.

I needed someone to assemble my 12 ft Christmas Tree. It weighs nearly 200 pounds and needed to be carted from the basement to the first floor. Within 3 hours of my posting I had an appointment with A-1 Handyman and Home Plumbing. Brandon and his uncle arrived this morning ahead of schedule and within 45 minutes had the tree together and did not break a sweat. Brandon was great. He is polite and respectful and obviously someone who takes pride in his work. He was careful to leave the house as clean as when he arrived. I will keep his number handy for other home repairs that may be needed.
I should also add that he typically does not like to work in my area because of the parking. He likes taking care of Yelp customers so he did agree to complete the job.

Warren and his team did great work on my duplex! I called him and he came out within 2 hours. He found the problem and offered a solution. He also worked with me on the price which was GREATLY appreciated. If I ever have a plumbing issue (which I'm sure I won't because they did a fantastic job) him and his team would be first people I contact. I highly recommend Boss Plumbing & Heating to anyone. 5 star work!

Great service, communication and a knowledgeable plumber. Highly recommend Aqua- Mike was on time and very honest about my issues. He was professional, courteous and friendly.

John and his crew are the very best!! John literally saved my house.  I did not know my pipes had corroded under ground. John was the only plumber who took out the toilet and looked underground with his camera ..and found the problem. I had to get extensive work done. John was very understanding of my situation and gave me a very fair price. He is an excellent compassionate human being and treats others the way we should all treat each other. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable professional. Zach and Anthony are pros as well.  Courteous and prompt. John Snyder is my plumber for life! Call him!! See for yourself! I wanted to leave a review for Kit from Plumbing N Things because he totally deserves it.

I live just outside of Washington DC and my elderly mom lives out in Philly by herself.  She'd been having issues with her toilet and the water not filling up properly after she flushes. All she could say is that she hears leaky sounds every couple of hours.  

I finally scheduled an appointment with  another company rated high on yelp, drove up to Philly to be there for my mom and no one showed up!!! The other company gave me excuses about the other job taking so long and forgot to call us and said they can come another day.  Are you kidding me???

Frustrated and angry I continued down the list for another week calling and leaving messages.

Kit from Pluming N Things got back to me right away.  He was so nice on the phone and told me that I didn't have to drive up from DC again.  He offered to go out to my mom's place the following day and face timed me to explain what the problem was, gave me an estimate and because it wasn't a huge issue, he offered to fix the problem right away.

I saved 6 hours of RT driving time, toll, gas, and not to mention he was really nice on the phone and facetime, AND he didn't rip off an elderly lady and take advantage of her.

Their prices are ridiculous. Firstly I think they are incredibly dishonest. They always send someone who's good at talking to you and giving detailed  explanation of what's needed. Whether what they recommend is needed or not is a whole different ball game. After all the sweet talking, They hit you with a big service charge. They have ripped me off several times I would recommend going with a smaller Company. Goodman plumbing has developed a market of customers and now is ripping people off

Needed to have an Instant Hot Water Dispenser and garbage disposal remote button installed. Had to drill two holes in my granite countertop to install. Rick was quick to respond with a fair quote. Made the entire process painless and explained everything in detail. Very meticulous and left the place cleaner than he found it! Would definitely recommend and plan on using again soon!

We hired Mike to replace a toilet and sink in our half bath. His quote was competitive, and we really appreciated that he took the time to recommend new fixtures that would work well for our bathroom -- fixtures which were reasonable in price and easy to find at Lowes. He was able to do the work in our tight timeline, cleaned up after himself and was friendly and respectful while in our home. A few days after install, we noticed a slight leak in the new toilet which turned out to be a manufacturing defect. Mike was at our house ten minutes after we called him about it, and went out of his way to fix the issue even though it was in no way his fault. We are so glad to have found Miller Plumbing and will use this company for all our future plumbIng needs. Can't recommend Mike highly enough.

We love these guys. They've come by a few times, they're always friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and even willing to teach us something. They can be a little hard to get a hold of in short notice, but John always calls back soon and he's really nice!

I highly recommend them for large and small jobs.

Have a plumbing issue? Call Valdel and ask for Tim. Tim has replaced a bathroom faucet, modified a kitchen faucet, and replaced a toilet at my house. I appreciate that he tries to educate me on his plumbing repairs while he's there. He does great work quickly, is friendly, timely, and I have found the prices for everything to be reasonable. I hope I don't have a plumbing need any time soon, but I know who I'll call if I do!

Main drain backed up into the basement and needed it snaked on a Sunday morning. Bommer had an emergency line and came out within 90min of phone call. Emergency/weekend fee was very reasonable! Started working immediately. Back to normal within an hour. Technician was knowledgeable and gave us recommendations to prevent reoccurrence and potential support from the township. Would absolutely recommend! Great price and service.

Amazing experiences twice with Luan. They are fast to respond, come out to do the job ASAP, and are reliable.

We are currently using Williams Precision Plumbing to renovate the hall bathroom. Chris and his team do an amazing job and are professional and polite. Chris came for the free estimate and spent time answering all my questions. He is also very responsive via email and text which has made scheduling very easy. I will use them again for our future plumbing needs!

It's so nice to find a plumber in Roxborough that actually shows up when he says he will and fixes things the first time.  His pricing is competitive and he does what he says he will do the first time.  Follow-ups and call-backs are much faster than average for the area.  Thank you so much!!

Mr. Rooter plumbing was great. We had a huge crack in our sewage line into the concrete. They were able to give a consultation same day and snaked the drains same day as well. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They even followed up with us and were able to schedule their work in the same week. They came 2 days in a row to drill into the concrete, remove the old plumbing and insert new PVC pipes. They did a great job and for a reasonable price. All their workers are very friendly as well.
The only thing that wasn't 5-star worthy is they left some old piping in our front lawn for a couple of days. We were told someone would come pick them up next day but we had to bug them for a couple of days to come get it.

We just moved into a new house and got in touch with Kevin when our water usage was significantly higher than it should be. He fixed a major leak from the upstairs shower, and then surveyed the remainder of the house for potential sources of excess water use. Since he left, our water usage has returned to a reasonable level.  Kevin was friendly, professional, on time and efficient.  Would highly recommend!
