Best Plumbing Services in Philadelphia, PA
This is one of the few instances I feel like Yelp steered me wrong on this one. I just so happen to be only the 3rd elite yelper to review this place which is odd for a place with over four hundred reviews.
Called JB in a pinch because there was a leak coming from my ceiling in which I thought it was coming from a 3rd floor bathroom. They mentioned over the phone it's be $255 to come out cut drywall and diagnose where the leak would be coming from. I will say they were prompt and receptive and could get out the quickest which is why I had them out.
After some examination it turned out that leak was not due to the third floor bathroom but there was maybe a leak coming from the third floor waste overflow. It was minimal and not really noticeable while running the water but had them do the work. The work was only 60-90 minutes in total. It involved cutting (and not replacing drywall) replacing a trap and adapter and overflow for the tub. All and all should have costed a few hundred dollars but was a whopping $1275! I told a few friends in the trade industry and they mentioned that waa wayyy too much money for a routine job that was less than two hours.
The drywall cutting was the sloppiest parts with no replacement. I would consider revamping the score if you had some patch up the dry wall for the price paid or if the overall cost was more reasonable for the amount of work done.
I've had dozens general contractors, plumbers, roofers, electricians, and chimney people out in the past couple of months and by far this was the least satisfying experience.

Brandon is great! He was very responsive, and was able to fit me in soon after I called him. He gave me a very reasonable set quote to replace my kitchen faucet and completed the work quickly with no problems. I also showed him around the house to other things that needed to be done and he was helpful in explaining and advising and gave me a quote for those items as well. I would highly recommend him!

I have used John Snyder plumbing three times and every time I'm impressed at how professional they are and the quality of repairs. I've worked with John and Xavier on different occasions and both were a pleasure to work with.

I don't' give 5 stars unless the business goes above and beyond.
I wanted to leave a review for Kit from Plumbing N Things because he totally deserves it.
I live just outside of Washington DC and my elderly mom lives out in Philly by herself. She'd been having issues with her toilet and the water not filling up properly after she flushes. All she could say is that she hears leaky sounds every couple of hours.
I finally scheduled an appointment with another company rated high on yelp, drove up to Philly to be there for my mom and no one showed up!!! The other company gave me excuses about the other job taking so long and forgot to call us and said they can come another day. Are you kidding me???
Frustrated and angry I continued down the list for another week calling and leaving messages.
Kit from Pluming N Things got back to me right away. He was so nice on the phone and told me that I didn't have to drive up from DC again. He offered to go out to my mom's place the following day and face timed me to explain what the problem was, gave me an estimate and because it wasn't a huge issue, he offered to fix the problem right away.
I saved 6 hours of RT driving time, toll, gas, and not to mention he was really nice on the phone and facetime, AND he didn't rip off an elderly lady and take advantage of her.
Thank you so much Kit, for restoring my faith in plumbers. I really appreciated your professionalism and kindness.

Our main line backed up and was causing my toilet to overflowwhich left me no choice but to call a plumber. I work an office job and none of my family were in the trades growing up, therefore, I'm always terrified at the thought of having to hire someone for stuff like this. After stumbling on a recommendation for Goodman plumbing on our neighborhood web site, I took a chance and grabbed them a call on a Saturday, just after 12pm. The plumbers arrived at my front door by 1:30. I showed them the area and they went to work immediately. After they dislodged the blockage, black water came gushing out of the cleanout access. As I watched this occur, I realized two things. 1 - that I could never be as plumber. 2 - I was willing to liquidate my kid's college fund to make it all go away. Without missing a beat, the guys had the leak contained and they were cleaning up the spill as they made progress on the pipes. Within an hour, they had our pipes back in business and the area was even cleaned up. They were professional, polite and they respected my house. The cost for the line service was $195, and frankly, after seeing what they did, it was a bargain. As with most businesses who fix stuff, I honestly hope I'll never have to see them again, however, with an almost 100 year old home, I'm sure I'll be in need of their services at some point and I will not hesitate contacting them in the future.

Our hot water tank cracked and started leaking suddenly. Mike came over the same day and was able to install new unit within 48hours. It is evident that he knows his business and does things the right and safe way. Have been looking for a reliable plumber for years! Mike is the guy.

We use John Neill for our 2 mixed-use buildings in Fishtown and for our plumbing at home. They are friendly, knowledgeable, reliable and great to work with. I highly recommend them.

Came out quickly and their call out service charge was reasonable compared to others.
They use quality grade parts, reasonable price.
Steven Ault did a good job, a clean site, and thorough work. His apprentice (Matt, I believe his name was?) also did a great job. Even took time to explain things to me and did not seemed rushed.
10/10. Would hire again.

Trusted professionals all the way!
We had a leak in our downstairs bathroom which was clearly caused by the master shower directly upstairs. We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did.
Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan.
Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. They keep you apprised of your plumber's whereabouts on the day of your appointment. They even send a picture of your plumber so you know what they look like ahead of time. This was a great touch and much appreciated, as you can never be too careful these days.
I cannot recommend this company enough. Don't do what we did and call Bommer Plumbing second...call them FIRST.

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!
He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. If prefer to work with someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, go with Chris!

Bernie called back the same day. I told him I was at the pediatrician and he told me to text him when I got home. They came that evening. Mike came to the door and I showed him the PVC pipes and garbage disposal I'd recently installed. He was super friendly and quickly resolved the leaking. Of course I'm going to call them again.

Wow what a great team!
Needed to replace the hot water heater and not only did the team of professionals quote pricing for a decent temporary fix, but also competitively quoted the cost for a full replacement (incl. labor). We went with the replacement and couldn't be more pleased!
Both quotes were very competitive! Service was fast and comprehensive. Didn't take long to schedule the prelim evaluation or the replacement service/repairs.
Tyler is amazing! What an awesome technician, knowledgeable and super friendly.
Curtis is the owner and he scheduled the service. Also super friendly and excellent to work with.
Absolutely top notch business! I highly recommend if ever you need anything
