While I didn't hire them, I found them to be very thorough in the repair explanation, extremely responsive from the first call and the written estimate very thorough. I am postponing the repair.

He was able to explain everything to me as a first time homebuyer in a way that made sense. He also went over my home inspection with me and found issues that the inspector didn't. Great service. Friendly service. They performed a thorough inspection prior to beginning the service. They also give you a quote at 3 price points. They do NOT pressure you to pick the most expensive option. After service was completed, everything that was done was overviewed including what was the issue. It is worth noting during the initial phone call they tried to walk us through troubleshooting at no additional cost. An Excellent Black Owned Business. We have found our electricians for the foreseeable future.

They said they'd have a technician call me a week ago about a doorbell transformer placement. That never happened.

My Wife has been on my back for 2 years about this chest freezer we purchased but needed a dedicated electrical outlet line for before hooking it up. The freezer had been sitting due to the fact I was dreading looking for an Electrician to do the wiring. So many contractors waste your time by not responding, not showing up, inaccurate pricing, incomplete work, and of course shoddy workmanship. The research process in finding a contractor is very tedious because you want to avoid any of the above from becoming your reality. I am ecstatic, thankful, and joyous that my vetting process matched me with FMJ Electrical. Here's why:

Prompt - Contacted me the night before to remind me of the appointment. That showed me they valued not only my time, but also their time as well. Arrived on time the day of appointment and was ready to work.

Excellent Work - Flawlessly performed my new outlet installation. Ran it directly to the box inside the wall. Another quote I received from another provider would run it through tubing outside the wall and have the outlet external on top of the wall. FMJ did everything behind the wall and recessed the actual outlet. Also, the placement of the outlet was better than what I had imagined. I thought it would be higher up the wall for him to save time. He actually lowered more towards the ground which made less stress on the plug. Beautiful!

Price - I was quoted an excellent price for the work I needed done. Work was completed, I paid the bill, FMJ gets paid, my Wife stops nagging me, everyone wins!!!!

Promised, masked (thank you) and was respectful of our home with covers over his shoes, cleaning up along the way and always communicating where he was in the process. He gave us 3 options to choose from and was patient while we weighed the pros and cons. I would use this company again.

Fast response and great service. My Yelp message was responded to within a day and my call was returned immediately. Good communication, on time, and great work. We're very pleased with the two pendant lights  we had installed. The price was significantly less than other companies. This is a nice young professional worthy of your business.

The experience with FMJ Electrical was exceptional from the start. A wonderful person answering the phone, smart and efficient. It was an emergency and they arrived so fast. Frank was very professional , his shirt was so clean and pressed. First impressions are everything! Frank and his crew fixed the electrical service in hours. His crew was well prepared, qualified and knowledgeable and they also recommended a inspector to come out to do a complete inspection for PECO. Everyone is so personable. Work ethics are top notch!!! Maleik was excellent.  He was flexible with the scheduling and ensured that I understood the work that he was completing in my home.  I definitely recommend FMJ Electrical.

The company is actually called Electric Geeks, I believe. When I had a crazy electrical emergency, Maleik and his brother were the quickest to respond and the only ones I could find willing to come out within just a few hours. They wanted a substantial deposit via CashApp before they would agree to come out, and would not accept credit cards. I was quite skeptical but went through with it since we were desperate to get power back. They proved to be legit and worked hard to get us back on. They knew what they were doing and did a great job.

My only issues were 1) not taking credit cards, and 2) I had to run to Home Depot because they got the wrong part (and blamed the store worker). They did dock it from my bill. Otherwise, if you are ok with paying cash and want reliable and quick service, I highly recommend.

I highly recommend FMJ electrical.  I called them Monday to install a wire from ceiling fan to  power outlet near the floor.  Next day technician arrived on time to estimate cost and do the job. It was made complicated because the wire had to traverse an air duct.  Mike estimated the cost of the job on the spot and I am very happy that he used an estimating book and gave me a great price. Took him two hours to install wire and patch the five holes he had to make.  Mike did a perfect job.  I will definitely use them again.
