Performance Pro Plumbing Plumbing Service
Awesome service and great prices. I recently had water in the basement and didn't know why. Suspected that it was the sump pump. I called a few places and found out that it's probably cheaper and easier to purchase a bar of gold. Finally I got ahold of Shannon at performance pro. He quoted me half the price of everyone else and personally showed up to my house two hours later. You could tell he was good at what he did because he was so meticulous but at the same time he knocked out the job in no time at all. Would recommend to anyone!

Excellent service.  Paul installed my water softener and garbage disposal.  He arrived on time and worked very efficiently.  He provided me with a lot of helpful information and was very honest.  We will definitely use him again in the future.

Forte Plumbing Plumbing Service
I had to reach out to Forte because they were on a list of authorized servicers for my hot water heater warranty.   Other plumbers refused the job outright because of the brand, and my original installer even suggested (repeatedly) that the warranty would not be valid. The first authorized place I called answered with voicemail and never did call me back.

Forte Plumbing actually had a real live person to answer the phone, a very nice lady who took my information and arranged for someone to contact me as soon as they were available.

Even though it was apparent he could not fit the job in on a busy Friday, Robert Forte made several calls on my behalf to determine how I could get a replacement for my hot water heater.  He spoke with the supply company and was able to give me specific instructions on how I could get the unit on my own in the meantime.

Mr. Forte wasn't actually able to do the work, and he realized this from the start.  He could have just said, Sorry, call me Monday.  But what he DID do was enable me to have another plumber handle the job because I was able to satisfy the warranty issue.  I WILL contact Forte Plumbing when I next have a need.  And I WILL recommend them to anyone that asks.

Rick and Sam came out yesterday, and with ease fixed two major issues I was having for a fraction of the price a prominent competitor had quoted me! They were awesome, quick, explained everything well, did only what they needed to do and no more, and they gave me great advice to prevent future issues too! I highly recommend, they won a customer for life.

Sump Pump Doctor Plumbing Service
I wish I could give Dominick ten stars! 2am and the sump pump alarm is going crazy and pouring rain outside. I frantically call two contractors I have dealt with and four other ones trying to find somebody and then happen on Sump Pump Doctor as Dominick picks up the phone and shows up within the hour. He replaced both my sump pumps (the other had not been working for quite a while), explained that the previous guy put in a Zolar and to stay away from that brand. He also put in a different check valve that doesn't sound like a mini thunderclap every time the pump discharges. And the emergency price was $750 with the pump, install, radon pipe modifications which is less than most would charge during non-emergency hours. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and responsiveness of Dominick. He also does injector pumps (which I wish I knew when mine went down last month and I got a good soaking not only from the water in the basement but from the guy who changed it). Thanks Dominick! You are a life saver!!!!

R J Till & Sons Plumbing Plumbing Service
We have been using Ray as our plumber for 15 years. He's gotten us through some nasty plumbing problems. He's quick to respond to calls. His work is dependable. His prices are reasonable. But today, he earned a permanent place in my heart: he hooked up an icemaker for me!! I love ice in my drinks and hate making it in ice trays. Now, I won't have to thanks to Ray.

Mark and his crew are fabulous as well as Kim in the office. We had our house re-piped with copper as having a cracked second floor main stack replaced all the way down, and they were just great. How often is a visit from the plumbers FUN? They do great work, very reasonably, and show up when they say. They will be at the top of our list if we ever need plumbing work.

RMO Plumbing Plumbing Service
I had a leaking valve by the water meter. Mike was the first to respond to my request, and based on my pictures of the problem gave a quote. In two days, Derrick came and replaced the valve. He was personable and skilled.  I was impressed with Mile's responsiveness and Derrick's efficiency. Since I only got one quote, i don't know how competitive is the pricing. Overall I am very satisfied.

Four Seasons Heating and Air Conditioning Plumbing Service
I called Four Seasons on two separate occasions this winter because my furnace went out during evening hours on a very cold winter day. They advertise emergency services around the clock, which to most people means help is available around the clock. But on both occasions they told me there were no emergency services available and I would have to wait at least 12 hours before someone would come.

I agreed to wait without heat until morning, accepting that there would be an $85 charge for the service call. In my experience with other companies over the years, this service call amount is almost always credited to any service that would be performed (it's a way to prevent people from taking advantage of free diagnostic visits, and truthfully, designed to prevent people from doing their due diligence as smart shoppers and soliciting multiple bids for comparison). But Four Seasons, instead of crediting me with this amount, proudly tacked it on to an obscenely high total after completing a relatively quick and surprisingly expensive repair, the details of which I feel obliged to share.

First off, I should note that the technician who came out was polite, seemingly knowledgeable and respectful in my home. I appreciated that he took the time to explain to me what he was doing and the issues he identified. He pinpointed one potentially problematic area (a loose fitting vent on the exterior of the home that he glued), but said the real issue was related to a faulty low pressure switch.

I had done some research as part of my own troubleshooting and knew that replacement switches typically run between $20 and $30 on eBay or Amazon. So when he said he had bunch of them in his truck and it would cost five thirty one, I assumed his bulk rate was $5.31 for this relatively small and common part...not the $531.00 he ended up charging me (for what amounted to about 15 minutes of work). When presented with the total, I asked him for a price breakdown and he said that the price included parts and labor and that Four Seasons doesn't break them out. A convenient way for them to charge whatever they think you can pay, regardless of the material cost of the equipment, and oblivious to the concept of a fair labor rate.

Working backward from the max cost of the switch ($30) and factoring in the amount of time required to make the repair, I calculated an estimated labor charge of $2000/hour. And this didn't sit well with me. Especially after he tacked on $170 for the gluing of the vent, and another $85 for the service visit.

All in, it was $770 to get my heat back on (a third of the cost of a brand new furnace!). I couldn't help but feel I was being gouged, but with a four year old to care for, I had little choice but to pay...especially after waiting an entire night without heat for someone to come, and house temps in the low 50's.

There were no written scopes of work provided at any point. Everything was approved verbally and via initials on a smartphone. I suppose this could be considered a convenience, but it made it more challenging to review and question the terms of the agreement, as they were driven by the tech on his hand-held device. A paper proposal or contract would have at least given me the time and freedom to consider what I was being asked to agree to.

Then we got to the guarantee part of the conversation. You may have seen the TV spots they are running now, or received an email promoting their no breakdown guarantee. It's all part of a furnace tune-up special that costs about the same as a service visit. I was unable to discern the difference between what I was getting for my $85 versus the multi-point inspection and guarantee that came with their $89 special. Was it a question of semantics?

In any event, there was no guarantee. He said the only thing that was guaranteed was that the one small part he replaced would continue to work, but would only guarantee that much if the furnace was cleaned annually...and only by Four Seasons! So their guarantee is a fairly obvious means of creating repeat business.

Hours later, I received a phone call asking how things went. I expressed my dissatisfaction, but the person making the call was not empowered to do anything about it. My concerns were not elevated, and I was left to my last resort - filing a complaint with the BBB.

Just prior to submitting my complaint, I received an email survey asking about my experience. So I shared my written complaint; shortly after I received a phone call from someone who wanted to make things right.

They agreed to reimburse me for the $85 service fee and miscellaneous gluing charge, but were unwilling to negotiate on the cost of the switch. While I did appreciate their willingness to work with me, I still feel I was misled by the marketing, profiled by the tech, and taken advantage of by their ambiguous all-inclusive pricing structure.

Ed the Plumber Plumbing Service
Please beware they will charge you a arm and two legs!!!  My husband found Ed the Plumber information in our  church bulletin and expected them to be trustworthy, honest and resonable or simply industry service rate  ( which does not mean cheap), but no they are absolutely the worst wanted to  replace a toliet, they quoted me over 1,750.00!!   I asked what type of  toliet costs that much... he said a Gerber so I wanted to research it  I asked for a model number and was told I DON'T KNOW, the most expensive one I found was 389.99 so are they charging 1300.00 to install, hypothetically even if the toliet costed 750.00 are they charging 1000.00 to install??  Then he said if you purchase the toliet we will install for approximately 700.00!!! I also was going to get my tub caulked since they would already be here they quoted 385.00 for just around the tub!!! This company is the absolute worst type of ripoffs ever, they prey on parishioners seeing  their advertisement in the church bulletin and believe they are contacting a honest business, but the truth is Ed the Plumber is   just using a cheap form of advertisement with a very large potential customer base with a lot of word of mouth. I really wish I could give them a  -0 for a rating!!!

Midwest Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Where to even begin.....

We hired Tim Shey, the owner, to do some plumbing work. Initially he came off as being a normal tradesmen... His bedside manor was a little abrasive but not so bad that I didn't think to not use him.

Well, I wish I would have cut ties the moment I picked up on that abrasiveness b/c my experience with him turned out to be an absolute nightmare. My experience with him was absolutely abusive and for no reason. For a long time i asked myself what I did to deserve him being so rude and disrespectful and then I finally realized that I did nothing at all to deserve the treatment bestowed upon us.

On top of the abuse, here I am, months later and i've had issue after issue with the plumbing. Very basic things were missed. Most recently, we had to hire a plumber to come out to fix one of the toilets he installed. Lord knows how long it's been leaking but I happed to notice one day that water was leaking out the back every time the toilet was flushed. It turns out that he didn't install it correctly as the top wasn't tighten to the base. The damage this has caused ....... I wonder if he did it purposely? I really do.... We also have had issues with every faucet he installed. Every single one had to be reinstalled. Additionally, one of the shower heads was leaking . That was another plumber visit. I keep going on and on with the issues but I'm sure you get the point.

This was not my personal experience but I spoke to another person who hired him who needed an additional week to pay him for his services and instead of waiting, he went to her home, pushed himself through her door and ripped out all of her plumbing so that she couldn't access any water! Who does that!

Please note that this was my personal experience with Tim. I'll never understand why I didn't just ask him to leave my condo the minute he was disrespectful.
