we had a sewer issue that was very challenging to solve, they never quit. In my previous experience with other companies they never would have tried to solve the problem so diligently. They kept thinking and working for several days, and ultimately solved the problem, and at a very reasonable price. Christian and his manager Dave really treated my home as if it was their own These guys are great! They really made my day today !

Awesome service and great prices. I recently had water in the basement and didn't know why. Suspected that it was the sump pump. I called a few places and found out that it's probably cheaper and easier to purchase a bar of gold. Finally I got ahold of Shannon at performance pro. He quoted me half the price of everyone else and personally showed up to my house two hours later. You could tell he was good at what he did because he was so meticulous but at the same time he knocked out the job in no time at all. Would recommend to anyone!

Had Paul out over the summer to fix a clogged drain. Super professional, prompt, and overall a great guy. He takes pride in his work and really does treat it as if it was his own house. There's a reason this guy doesn't have to advertise, his work ethic and the quality of work speak for themselves.

Yesterday (Sunday) morning we noticed that we had no hot water. Opened the basement door and could see water on the floor, I called Paul right away. He walked me through the steps to turn off the water supply and drain the tank to avoid a bigger mess. He didn't want to have to charge me for a Sunday call so he moved his schedule around so that he could come first thing Monday morning. A few minutes later he called and said that he lived 5 minutes away and would come over to make sure everything was shut off and hook up the hose to drain the tank. The man stopped by on his way to church at no charge! He pointed out how the previous water heater was not properly installed and fixed the copper and PVC pipes accordingly. He is as clean as he is thorough and went above and beyond as he did the first time I used him. I would not hesitate to refer him to anyone I know in need of a plumber. I hope I never see him again (haha) but should I ever be in need of a plumber, there's no question as to who I would call....

I needed to satisfy the village code of Elmwood Park because I sold my house. I already had a membership with Larry's Plumbing, so I called for their approximate rates.  When I was told the cost would be around $800 (with the member 20% discount, mind you) at the minimum, I immediately started asking around.  Our handyman told us to call Forte Plumbing.  They're local, have a great relationship with the surrounding villages, and they couldn't be nicer people to deal with.  Best of all, they told me they could do the work for $250! When they came to do the work, it took them 4 hours.  STILL only charged me $250, even though it was certainly more work than expected.  I would have happily paid more.  I wish Forte serviced the far western suburbs -- when you find a good plumber, you should never let them go!  Thank you Carmen and Michael!

I woke up with no hot water in my kitchen sino, but hot water in the rest of the house. I attempted to fix it my self....to no avail. Called Rescue plumbers and within a few hours, Logan and Jenkins were at my door!  They found the problem and fixed it right away. Super kind, knowledgable, clean and talked me through everything they did. I would HIGHLY recommend them and will for sure use them if there is another issue.

We have been using Ray as our plumber for 15 years. He's gotten us through some nasty plumbing problems. He's quick to respond to calls. His work is dependable. His prices are reasonable. But today, he earned a permanent place in my heart: he hooked up an icemaker for me!! I love ice in my drinks and hate making it in ice trays. Now, I won't have to thanks to Ray.

We had an issue with water backing up in the basement. In my frantic state, I called another company first to come and clean out the line. It resulted in a temporary fix and a $14k quote.  We then called Advantage (we have worked with them before and should have called them in the first place) and Scott and Harry came out and fixed the problem with no issues. Informed us of some work we may need done in the future but nothing urgent. What a relief! From now on, if there is ever a plumbing issue, I will not hesitate to call Advantage. They are always courteous, timely and honest. I highly recommend!

Easy to work with and professional. They respond quickly too. I requested an estimate, signed contract, they requested permit, scheduled installation, installed and I paid online. All without ever speaking or seeing them. I'm glad Yelp made this possible for someone like me with a busy schedule.

When I bought my home, the kitchen sink had a nice feature where I could push the faucet handle, rather than lift the handle, in order to get purified drinking water. But that became a problem when I learned that the manufacturer has stopped selling the filter cartridges, and it looked like I might have to purchase a whole new faucet. Mark was able to adapt my faucet to a different kind of cartridge, and I am very happy with the results. Mark is a very efficient guy, so it was nice to find out that - when the situation calls for it - he can also be a creative problem solver.

Courtesy sent out a plumber who explained what he thought was the problem & let me know upfront how much the price of rooting out my sewer line would be. Most certainly courteous and professional. I look forward to using them in the future and I highly recommend them.

Had water backup into the basement and needed a plumber quickly.  Looked online for a good plumber as I don't have a regular plumber.  Saw reviews for Greg, the sewer guy, quick response, fixed the problem and was a nice person to deal with so that's who I chose to call.  He did return my call immediately, gave me a two hour arrival time, he immediately identified the problem and fixed it.  The outside catch basin needed rodding out. He even rinsed down the basement.  Would call him again and highly recommend him.

They were great! I had a gas leak and needed a plumber to fix right away to turn my gas back on. They even gave me an estimate and fixed my pipes in 1 morning. The work was great quality as well.

RMO Plumbing is the best. He answered my phone when we were new in town at night around 10 pm. The owner of RMO plumbing helped me over the phone with how to stop the water as I was new in Chicago (moving from the California Bay area) and had no clue how to shut off the valve.

The next day, he prioritized our work although we were new. He came, he fixed, and used as many parts possible (from a new shower that we bought) so that we can have a new/newer bathroom. It was significantly more work for him, but he did it out of a good heart. In the end, he charged us less than what he quoted over the phone.

They send what is supposedly a licensed union plumber who should know what he's doing.  He installs a new hot water heater and vents it only to the chimney, not to the liner in the chimney.  That's mistake #1.  Plus the flue slope is incorrect and can lead to gases not exiting properly (mistake #2).  I'll throw both these into Mistake #3:  He told me he cannot see well. (Thanks for sendinig over a plumber with vision issues, that instills confidence!). And, rather than putting his tools down on the painted basement floor, he drops them, which left a number of scratch marks on the floor.  Will never call them again. Their hold music should be Send in the Clowns.

Again, as in other reviews, BEWARE of Four Seasons!  We woke up on saturday morning and our furnace was making a terrible noise.  We called Four Seasons and they gave us a service window of 9-2.  That's fine.  The office person was professional and pleasant, the tech showed up at 9:00 and was also very pleasant.  This is where the nightmare begins:

After charging $85 to look at an induction blower fan assembly, he confirmed my suspicions that it was bad bearings on the motor.  Let me just say here that I am a Professional Licensed Mechanical Engineer and have dealt with many contractors over the years.  The technician then quoted us a ridiculous, reprehensible price of $1356 to replace the fan motor assembly, I had already researched the part and found the price to be $145.  I asked why was it so expensive and he gave me an explanation about labor, parts, shipping and their guarantee which is only the installation not the part.  I could tell by the look on his face that he knew that I knew differently.  Felt like highway robbery, which it is.  When Four Seasons called after the tech left for a satisfaction survey, I told the guy that his quoted price was outlandish and he could not explain why the price was so high.  He promised to talk to the owners and then get back to us, but so far nothing.  Doesn't surprise me!!!

Now, this is when the story gets better.  We called Econotemp in Downers Grove on Sunday, after a very cold saturday.  Luckily the outside temps were in the 40's and 50's that particular day and we used our fireplace to keep us warm during the day.,

Andrew, the owner of Econotemp answered the phone understood our dilemna and checked his inventory and found he had the part in stock..  the installation was simple because I was able to remove the unit after the Four Seasons tech left in less than 10  minutes!!!  Installation of the new unit was just that simple, within 10 minutes and we now have heat!!!!

We have never reviewed a business before.  However, my husband feels morally responsible to warn the unknowing homeowners of this travesty.  what happens to the retired, elderly woman on a fixed income when her furnace dies and Four Seasons takes her for more than $1,000 more than they should.  We are also going to write a letter to the BBB AND to Lisa Madigan about the predatory practices of Four Seasons.   Please tell everyone that if you want fair service and honest pricing, use Econotemp.,  Avoid Four Seasons at all cost.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, for anything!!!  Charges $125 to walk in your door, whether you hire him or not.  Was told on phone when I made the appointment, if I hired them the $125. would be waived.  I assumed that meant deducted from bill.  NO... it did not!!!   I found Ed the Plumber information in our church bulletin and expected them to be trustworthy, honest and reasonable.  Quote was $498.00 to replace my kitchen faucet (which I purchased separately).  Since I choose NOT to hire them I had to pay the $125. !!  

Next day I hired someone else and paid $175.00 TOTAL for this simple job.

This guy is a thief and using the church bulletin to rake in the $$$. I had to ask about the parishioner discount and then ask for senior discount, which only reduce the quote to $438.00.  Ridiculous, definitely out for the bucks and not to earn a good reputation.

Dishonest company.  I have eight furnaces for my building and they solicited me for a tune-up and turned off the tenant heat, demanding money to turn it back on BEWARE!!
