Best Businesses in Illinois
I made an appointment and within two days they came and installed a garbage disposal and replaced a pipe under our sink. They were amazing and even gave us a bunch of super helpful tips. They also were able to drill a hole in our cabinet so we didn't have to call an electrician to plug in the disposal. I would highly recommend them and plan on using them when replacing the pipe under our bathroom sink.

Fantastic people and work. Had a drain installed into my basement floor. Responded quick, quick appraisal, quick appointment, worked quick, very friendly, great pricing. Felt like a person and not just a dollar sign.

Paul the Plumber is great! Water heater went out yesterday called him this morning and new water heater already installed. Work took less than 30 minutes! Very honest, fair price, included warranty and clean up / disposal of old water heater. Just great service all around! I highly recommend his services!

I needed to satisfy the village code of Elmwood Park because I sold my house. I already had a membership with Larry's Plumbing, so I called for their approximate rates. When I was told the cost would be around $800 (with the member 20% discount, mind you) at the minimum, I immediately started asking around. Our handyman told us to call Forte Plumbing. They're local, have a great relationship with the surrounding villages, and they couldn't be nicer people to deal with. Best of all, they told me they could do the work for $250! When they came to do the work, it took them 4 hours. STILL only charged me $250, even though it was certainly more work than expected. I would have happily paid more. I wish Forte serviced the far western suburbs -- when you find a good plumber, you should never let them go! Thank you Carmen and Michael!

I got a very prompt response on a weekday morning for an emergency when I really needed help, water backing up all over my floor. The plumber who came out was polite, very competent, and very careful to communicate to me every step of the process of diagnosing the problem and what the likely cost was shaping up to be. I was very pleased with this experience.

we have used md plumbing for over 10 years. they have provided major as well as minor services in a timely and very conscientious way. they are totally dedicated to the best service and explaining exactly what the customer is needing, all options available and costs that are realistic. they have been the top service providers to our house which as it ages has needed more of a variety of plumbing services. they are very focused on the relationship with the customer as well as the quality of the work!! all round great company to deal with.

Updating my previous review. The gentlemen who came to our house was strongly affirming we did not have a plumbing issue. Turns out after doing some additional investigation, as curious homeowners, not certified plumbers, we DO in fact have plumbing issues.
So after spending a few hundred dollars fixing our roof, since we trusted this plumbers assessment that it was NOT a plumbing issue, we were still experiencing a leak. It turns out that the vents for the sink and toilet are not properly connected, or fitted. This is NOT the work of courtesy plumbing mind you, but they failed to identify this issue, given 2 opportunities. I would also have to give some benefit of the doubt to the gentleman who came out, as this construction should have never passed inspection, and I'm sure is fairly uncommon.

Everything everyone else said is true! Mom's sewer was chock full of roots, causing a terrible backup in her bathroom. He arrived within a half hour and had the problem resolved quickly for a more than fair price. Why is it the people you don't want to have to deal with are always the kind of people you want to deal with all the time?!? Thanks, Greg!

They were available to work quickly, and did good work. David was patient and explained not only what the issues with my plumbing were, but how they were caused.
All in all I felt like they took good care of me.
Work done was replacing a pip with a root rupturing it, cleaning a grease trap, and replacing a toilet seal.
They worked with financing partners that allowed for flexible terms that worked for me.

Had my kitchen sink back up, I did all the work in an attempt to get it unclogged myself but nope! Called Miguel at RMO, I explained it all to him and he gave me a price before he even came over, which I liked. He was courteous, on time and very professional.
The job was done quickly, and no mess. I'm sure I would've of saved a few bucks somewhere else but, it's nice you speak to someone right away, even at night, and can get it done when you need it. I would recommend!

I have to say, it looks like Four Seasons is VERY RESPONSIVE to customer complaints. I posted here, and then, noting the responses from the company's David M. , I called his number and left a lengthy message about my service. Within an hour (perhaps even less) I was called by Joe in Customer Service (David M. is out today). He listened to my message and read my yelp review. And he assured me that they do want to keep my business and ensure a good customer relationship, and in doing so they are happy to work with me to ensure my satisfaction.
While he did say that their prices are en par with the national average, that just makes me think this is an industry wide problem... And the research that I have done suggested replacing a pressure switch should run between $40-$350 (gasfurnaceguide.com/2012…), or $125-$175 (buzzle.com/articles/gas-…), etc. Of course, that's not taking account winter... or Chicago...
Will still hope for more transparent billing practices in this industry to become the norm. In the meantime, adding a star for the super response time.

I feel taken advantage of...
I'd had good experiences with this company in the past (I think), so I called on them when our furnace went out reading the reviews here (silly mistake)... Miguel came out in a timely manner. He was polite, and efficient, and all manner of good things. However, the quoted price for the replacement pressure switch was $504 - more than 100 times the price I later found for the same switch online. Yes, this includes lifetime guarantee and installation (which according to an online video I found, is so easy I could have easily managed it). I've run into this before with other companies the past several years, which is why I haven't settled on one before now. And yes, once I was given a discount of 15% (for being a yelp customer? Go Yelp!) I paid the still exorbitant amount because it was either that or eat the $85 service charge and entrust my furnace to another company who will probably just do the same thing...
A note to Four Seasons management: Bumping up prices on parts to insane levels is no way to get business. You'd profit more by keeping customers coming back and attracting new business by word of mouth. I didn't even go to business school and I can tell you that. If that's the way everyone in your industry is doing business, then be the one to buck this trend. We'll throw you our business and shout out loud and wide how much we like your service. And if you're going to claim that your $504 part is that expensive because of the 'installation', then break out that installation into a separate line item and charge a reasonable price for both.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, for anything!!! Charges $125 to walk in your door, whether you hire him or not. Was told on phone when I made the appointment, if I hired them the $125. would be waived. I assumed that meant deducted from bill. NO... it did not!!! I found Ed the Plumber information in our church bulletin and expected them to be trustworthy, honest and reasonable. Quote was $498.00 to replace my kitchen faucet (which I purchased separately). Since I choose NOT to hire them I had to pay the $125. !!
Next day I hired someone else and paid $175.00 TOTAL for this simple job.
This guy is a thief and using the church bulletin to rake in the $$$. I had to ask about the parishioner discount and then ask for senior discount, which only reduce the quote to $438.00. Ridiculous, definitely out for the bucks and not to earn a good reputation.

Where to even begin.....
We hired Tim Shey, the owner, to do some plumbing work. Initially he came off as being a normal tradesmen... His bedside manor was a little abrasive but not so bad that I didn't think to not use him.
Well, I wish I would have cut ties the moment I picked up on that abrasiveness b/c my experience with him turned out to be an absolute nightmare. My experience with him was absolutely abusive and for no reason. For a long time i asked myself what I did to deserve him being so rude and disrespectful and then I finally realized that I did nothing at all to deserve the treatment bestowed upon us.
On top of the abuse, here I am, months later and i've had issue after issue with the plumbing. Very basic things were missed. Most recently, we had to hire a plumber to come out to fix one of the toilets he installed. Lord knows how long it's been leaking but I happed to notice one day that water was leaking out the back every time the toilet was flushed. It turns out that he didn't install it correctly as the top wasn't tighten to the base. The damage this has caused ....... I wonder if he did it purposely? I really do.... We also have had issues with every faucet he installed. Every single one had to be reinstalled. Additionally, one of the shower heads was leaking . That was another plumber visit. I keep going on and on with the issues but I'm sure you get the point.
This was not my personal experience but I spoke to another person who hired him who needed an additional week to pay him for his services and instead of waiting, he went to her home, pushed himself through her door and ripped out all of her plumbing so that she couldn't access any water! Who does that!
Please note that this was my personal experience with Tim. I'll never understand why I didn't just ask him to leave my condo the minute he was disrespectful.
