Jake and Brandon came out extremely fast to remove and replace our well pump. He explained everything up front, and quoted me a approximate price and did the job fast and they even moved a heavy fountain that was in the way. Some others locally weren't as professional on the phone and even one came to the house in a argumentative mood. I had to send him away. Not Jake. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and won't hesitate to call him again. Excellent service/job.

Martin was phenomenal!! He was very patient with the whole process. My boyfriend got the wrong wall mount unit, and Martin waited for him to run next door to get the right wall mount. He was very quick with the installation and once we got the right unit the tv was up within 30 mins. He then spent about 15 minutes making sure everything is nice and neat. He bounded all the cables together with electrical tape and wiped down the area after he was done. Absolutely a great experience!! Highly recommended!!

Fixer did an excellent job replacing the basement front door on my house.
The door is not standard dimensions, so the job took two steps:
1. Have Fixer order the door and wait for it to come in
2. Have Fixer pick up the door from Home Depot, abd Fixer install the door.

Excellent response during a flood from back flow with the city , gave excellent advice , good pricing, do not take advantage of the emergency

Overall, just an unfortunate experience.  I wish I could relate to some of the other ratings touting their professional, honest and timely work but while the initial conversation with them seemed promising the end result was far different. Repair was completed in two days but when it could have easily been completed in 1 day. They got there closer to 10 and were out by 3 on first day. Next, they didn't return on second day without any notice only to learn they would return an additional 2 days later but only after I reached out to them late in the afternoon on the day they were suppose to return. Changed the quote on me multiple times and got them to stick to original quote through end of project (with the understanding that i might go up which I was ok with) It turns out the items on the final invoice were ridiculously marked up . Im a project manager by trade and regularly work with contractors so was able to see through the BS during these conversations and low and behold was not far off...... $1500 to replace an ejector pump?
$600 for a pump they picked up at Home Depot for $418 + tax (another $250 was charged of supplies,materials,etc by the way), $300 to clean a sump pit (10 minute job at most w/ wet vac). Then another $600 to drop the sump pump in the pit and tie it up. When I disputed this I didnt even get the full conversation going when they quickly offered to reduce the cost by $200 and while it brought the cost down then you know when this happens you've been screwed. WTF, Im ok with extra costs but DAMMN!!. Wanted to trust these guys, really did but just another example of  dishonest and shadey buisness practices. I can't recommend these people and please due your diligence when you get work like this done. DAMMMMN!!. Ill be more then happy to share the invoice if you want to see the details.

Have used United for years now. They always come through and are consistently reliable. I'd be hard pressed to go with another plumber. Very highly recommend!!!

Just had our water heaters go out in the home we bought last year ( water heaters were only 6 years old and one exploded)... I called excel last week and they were responsive and quickly came over.. We have a large home so we needed replacement  water heaters that could handle 6 bathrooms/ two laundry rooms...  They also noticed that our sump pump had been malfunctioning and gave us a quote for it...  The service was fabulous, price was slightly higher than the other quotes I got but their team was the most skilled ..

We had emergency leak at our tenants apartment.  It was midweek and after 5pm so i was really worried that i was going to have to wait for someone to come out.  We found this plumber through a google search and they were willing to come out the same day.  It was definitely more but again i can appreciate someone coming out the same day and he was there in an hour.  The leak was coming from the toilet on the 3rd floor and already coming through the ceiling of the 2nd floor tenants.  Terry's team was quick and he followed up to make sure everything was going well.  They also have a 1 year warranty.  Needless to say that we have not had any problems!

These guys are the best!  When they say they'll be there at 9am, they are there at 9am.  They work quickly, efficiently, and will let you know how to bring the cost down on any job.  I've been using them for about the last 12 years or more and never been disappointed.

Our water heater broke leaving a water leakage in our basement. Called Tim on the recommendation from our realtor. After telling him our issue, he gave us an estimate over the phone. Being a Friday afternoon, he told us he wouldn't get to us that day but said he could be out early afternoon on Saturday after another job that morning. A little while later he texted saying he'll try to get to us earlier and to our delight, the next morning he let us know that he could. Two hours later, a new, working water heater, professional installed. It was a smooth experience from start to finish. Tim is a very nice guy and his work is excellent. Don't hesitate to use his expertise. He is fantastic and will be keeping him at the top of our call list for plumbing needs! Thanks Tim!

Body Plumbing did  our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system).  He came in about half the price of a few other places we called.  He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork.  Highly recommended, great experience.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

We contacted these guys when we found our sewer vent line corroded through behind our kitchen cabinet, leaking sewer gas into our house!

Daniel showed up same day to provide a quote.  He knew right away what the problem was, and mentioned that it was common among homes in our neighborhood.  He explained thoroughly that there could be discovery work, as the line may be leaking in multiple (inconvenient) places.  He gave us a range for how much it could cost depending on what they found once we removed the cabinet.  I was nervous this could be a chance to charge us the max, but I had nothing to fear, these guys are very honest.

Marty and Daniel were able to come out the same week and arrived on time.  Sure enough, the line was leaking in two locations, but they were able to perform all the work inconspicuously behind our kitchen cabinet using some clever techniques.  The price was more than reasonable and they were done in only two hours.

I'm so glad we found these guys - I don't have any more anxiety about calling a plumber. They've earned a customer for life! Or at least as long as we live in Elmhurst :)

We live on the 4th floor of a 40 year old condo building.  The building often has water pressure problems (particularly after a condo-wide water shut-off for servicing).  Some years ago, Jay and his father from Pressure Pro came out and fixed the water pressure problem we were having.  We recently started having another water pressure problem and the hot water was down to a trickle.  Our Condo Management tried to send out another service company, but they would not come out on a weekend.  We remembered Pressure Pro and insisted that our Management Company use them.  Jay came out and had strong water pressure back in no time.  While he was here, he took the time to explain how to help prevent future pressure problems, and also made some recommendations for fixing some other unrelated issues.  Jay and Pressure Pro are one of those rare Chicago area services that are honest, friendly and reliable.  We cannot say enough good things about Pressure Pro.

So let me begin by suggesting that it is not my intention to badmouth, disparage, assail or perpetually punish a retail establishment or small business owner for the experience I endured that may or may not be indicative of J Blanton Plumbing's myriad customers. I wish this plumbing contractor health, wealth and continued success. Having established that, here is my narrative. I purchased three Kohler Veil Intelligent Toilets and needed them installed. The dispatch service arranged for the date, time and location and confirmed that it would be US$79.00 to come out and assess the work/repairs. Very straightforward and easily understood. Spoiler: the estimate was going to be (read: should have been) lower than a conventional toilet estimate for several reasons. To expedite the process I previously (1) removed all three, two-piece toilets (2) cleaned up around and relocated the vanities in the area where the toilets were to be dropped (3) measured, drilled and screwed in the Kohler Veil studs necessary to stabilize each toilet (4) purchased three wax rings (5) tested and trued the water flow rate of the new supply stop to the new water lines and (6) secured silicon and plumbers tape to assist with the install. All that J Blanton would need to do is the following: (1) turn off the water (2) place a wax ring on the four-inch conduit flange (3) center and drop the toilet (4) tighten the nuts to the studs (5) attach the water line (6) turn the water back on (7) test for leaks (8) silicon around the base of each toilet and (9) enjoy what remains of its earthly life. J Blanton Plumbing's quote: US$478.99/toilet. That's right. With taxes, I would be paying over US$1,600.00 to install three toilets. Needless to say, I obviously did not hire them. In fact I remember stating that I would sooner leave the US Department of Justice and join Al Qaeda before I pay someone, anyone US$1,500.00 to install three toilets. Subsequently, I enlisted a dear friend to help with shutting off the water and centering the toilet drop. We finished all three toilets in 75 minutes. Looks amazing! Now, I defend the right of J Blanton Plumbing to charge US$10,000 + LIBOR per toilet if it wishes. I mean, it's a free Republic. But unless you're a consumer who pities the economic health of our divided nation and wishes simply to transfer your own wealth to the pockets of another, than there is categorically no reason to hire J Blanton Plumbing to install your toilets. Again, this is simply one, sub-optimally brilliant Norwegian's opinion amidst a sea of many. Lesson: Be smart!
