I had just closed on my house on 03/26/20 Wednesday, and then discovered a little puddle of water in my basement by the floor drain and furnace today, 03/28/20 Sat. I have not even moved in my house yet so I was freaking out. The home warranty company I purchased, American Shield Home Warranty, were horrible! When I called them to send a plumber, they said they would send one asap and have them call me. Well, I kept calling them, and gave up after waiting for three hours since no one would follow up on my service request.

So, I decided to do a google search for plumbers and found Mr. Burris' company. I decided to call them. Mr. Burris called me in less than an hour and asked what the problem was. When I told him the problem, he said that he was coming right away.

Not only did Mr. Burris diagnose the problem right away, he fixed it. The water turned out not to be anything major. Mr. Burris was honest and he did not try to advantage of me since I was a new homeowner. He went above and beyond his duty. He educated me on my heating, cooling, and plumbing system and that is priceless.

Thank God for Mr. Burris. I highly recommend him

Jake came out on a Saturday Labor Day weekend to help with standing in my basement. He was so friendly and professional explained everything and it turned out to be just a jammed float in our ejector. He refused to even charge the full service fee and just took a small amount of money! Blown away! Highly recommend and will definitely be calling them when we need to do the next project! I've hired Martin 3 separate times for various different jobs: appliance mount, ceiling fixture removal and patching and electrical work. I've been happy with the quality of work in all of them. He is honest, skilled, reliable, a great communicator on-site and his rates are straight-forward and reasonable.

One point of criticism: I wish he was stronger in responding to inbound service requests and follow-ups until the appointment date. He's been inconsistent about this but if you are patient enough to roll with this flaw, I believe it is worth it. To be clear, Martin has never skipped any appointments that he had confirmed with me.

I have full confidence in him and will continue to be a repeat customer. So many other corporatized handyman shops will charge you two limbs for a basic job that oftentimes give you an average outcome. With Affordable Handyman Services, I'm so glad I can give my money to a business owner who actually deserves it.

They are fantastic!  It's always easy to book them.  They're always on time and fix the problem quickly.  They do a great job.  I really recommend them.

I moved into a new house and recently finished our basement. The old owners had an Old Watch Dog system in which the cables were in terrible condition and every now and then the battery would beep randomly.

I was getting tired of it so it was time to buy a new battery backup. After days of research I was sold on the Wayne WSS30VN. Bought it off Amazon with prime, got it within 2 days and then when I opened and compared it to the old Watchdog I was like umm yea, time to call for some help.

Found Emergency Plumbing online and thought I'd give them a try with all the positive reviews I saw.

Man am I so happy I hired them. The business resides in Cary so the commute for them isn't crazy for emergency plumbing situations for me.

They gave a very reasonable quote, I agreed on, they came on time and did a empacable job.  
Within an hour they took out the old Watchdog system, adjusted some PVC tubing and installed my new Wayne WSS30VN. Once it was done they brought a hose they had with them, tested the system and also told me about some other things I never knew like flushing out sediment once a year from the water heater.

They also helped recommend me with some water softeners and sediment filters for the future.

Man I'm so happy I forgot to include their names.

Konstantin and Nick are some or the best in the plumbing game.  I have found my go to plumbers.

I recently moved into a new house and the plumbing in the Tub needed some major work!! We tried everything to unclogged the tub. Nothing worked. I finally gave up and call these guys from a recommendation on one of my moms group on Facebook. They answered my call immediately and they arrived within the hour. They were done within minutes! A huge clunk of hair came out of the drain. They also did my sink while they were at it. Thank you so much!!

Very responsible and highly recommended. Come for estimated and fair price and repaired my front yard sewer within 4 days . Follow up with further concerns. Will hire them again for my maintain .

Nothing is worse than getting a phone call at work during the day of an emergency plumbing leak.  After calling around to a few places, the team at Your Helpful Plumber were extremely helpful and accommodating in getting a plumber to my house within a few hours.  

They were extremely helpful, friendly, and got the problem fixed under 30 minutes.

Most satisfying was that they didn't take advantage of a terrible situation and were completely understanding.  The charged a very fare price for a water leak emergency, when most places will gauge you or try to rip you off.

Body Plumbing did  our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system).  He came in about half the price of a few other places we called.  He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork.  Highly recommended, great experience.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

I have hired The Plumbing Doctor a number of times. First two times, he was great. Within the last year, I have hired him, he's given me a 4 hour window and then did not show up. Cost me a day off of work. Previous to that I hired him and he sent other plumbers out to do the work, which they messed up and broke a light in my kitchen and he took no responsibility for it and never rectified the situation.

I would stay away from him.

After our flood control company during routing told us that our sewer lines  collapsed, we called the Village of Skokie for advice.  The first question we were asked was how does that outfit know its collapsed?  The company wanted $450 to video the line.  The village sent us a list of sewer contractors who do work in Skokie (did not include our flood control company) and after checking reviews and Yelp, we settled on North Coast Sewer.  Next day Eric (owner) came out, did a video at no cost and said he doubted we had a collapsed line.  He explained how the sewer system is structured, how proper courting is done, and recommended installing an outside cleanout access on the street side of our flood control system.  He also explained the worse that could exist but doubted that was the case. He spend a lot of time with us, told us what costs would be involved and didn't charge for his visit even though he didn't know if we would use his service.  As promised his crew showed up two weeks later after utilities had marked the area for digging.  They installed the access line, properly routed, and and said there was no problem with the sewer line.  The service was not cheap but done so professionally and honest that there is peace of mind.  Everything was clean and neat and new top soil with seed was put in place where digging occurred.  These guys are first-rate.

Daniel was great!! Very educated, professional, friendly, and took the time to explain all of the important details. A pipe froze in our basement and Daniel was over within 2 hours on a Sunday.  He even went over the steps of how to troubleshoot the problem on our own over the phone before he arrived. Would highly recommend to anyone needing plumbing services!

Our condo is 100+ years old.  Last 6 months, barely any cold water in our shower.  Got name from our maintenance man.  Called and left VM in the AM and in the evening.  Jim called me back the next morning and came out in a few hours.  Fixed in 30mins. $160.  Hot/Cold flow is amazing. Should have called 6 months ago.  FYI...they rarely answer the phone but will call you back.  Great service.  Highly recommend to get the job done fast.

We had been experiencing serious plumbing issues for several years, literally spending thousands of dollars trying to resolve our issue. Jack came in and assessed our situation, and showed specifically what he was going to do, as well as the cost. In his appraisal he ran two scenarios-best case and worst case...frtunately for us the best case scenario played out. Jack was fair and accurate, clean and courteous, as well as timely in the completion of his work. Great to have finally found a reliable, professional plumber!
