Mr. Burris is professional, informative and knows his business. In addition to addressing the problem that I called him for (low pressure in my multi-unit building), the things that he taught me about regular maintaining my plumbing and things I can do to prevent problems, made his reasonable service fee more than worth it.

Jake couldn't have been more kind and professional. He was at my house first thing on a Sunday morning. He identified the problems and was patient with us. He discovered our problems were a more severe than we all thought. He referred us to another company to handle our major repairs and even called to check in later on our progress. Although Jake wasn't able to to fix everything I couldn't be more impressed and I would use him again without question.

Martin went above and beyond for a minor repair, he not only answered my call and gave me a same-day appointment (without upcharging like some do), he also arrived, looked at my bathroom hose, realized it needed replacement and not fixing, and that the company that provided my bathroom sink/hose also provides a lifetime warranty. He even offered to place the service call for me. But then he realized it might take a week to get it replaced by the company, and given it is the only bathroom I have, he said he will see if there are alternatives. 10 min later he calls me and tells me he went out to BestBuy he found the needed part and asks if it's ok to come back and replace. Now tell me if you ever had a handyman who also cares, well now you do. Thanks Martin!

This past winter, our pipes froze so we had to cut a hole in the wall in order to access the pipes. Months went by and we kept putting off getting the hole patched. The Evanston Moms FB page had recommended Fixer so I reached out and they were able to respond quickly and with a competitive quote. They did a great job patching the hole, were very quick and quiet, offered to take off his shoes and wore a mask, and at the end of the day, the guy pointed out my walkway had both a dead bird and a dead mouse (eww) which he offered to dispose of if I could get him a bag. I told him I would take care of it but I really appreciated his kind offer and going that extra step to do something completely unrelated. The best part? I referred my sister to their services and I got a credit! I'll definitely be reaching out to them for future jobs.

Emergency plumbing installed our toilets in three of our bathrooms. They even pointed out things to us we hadn't noticed about a pipe that had been leaking which was so helpful! We were so pleased with this experience that we asked them to come back to cap pipes in our basement. Very reasonable price and great on timing.  Very friendly!

We had a horrid sulfuric smell emanating from our basement and making the entire house smell like an exploded port-o-potty. A problem with our sewer drains and grease traps were the culprits. This was a reoccurring problem in the house, but this was the most severe case. Frustratingly enough, we'd recently had another company come out just a few weeks before to (expensively) address the issue permanently. Clearly, it didn't work. When ACE responded to my call, Rich had a thorough conversation to help understand the problem and history. When ACE came, they were friendly and on time. After the assessment, Rich explained the previous company addressed only one of the FIVE drains in our basements. The last company didn't even note/check the other drains. Rich could not have been more patient walking me through our problem, the sources, his remediation plans and recommendations for future maintenance. Pricing was clear and competitive before the team started any work. It has been months and I'm so glad ACE's fix was truly a permanent solution!
Lastly, I had another plumbing issue (much simpler), and Rich was so kind to give me a diy solution that worked like a charm--his rationale: I don't want charge you for something that could possibly be an easy fix. He even offered to be on the phone and walk me through the solution if I needed help. These guys will be my go-to moving forward.

Charge me $380 Ron out the basement it only last for four months and I had the same problem came back out here I wanted to charge me another $250 do the same thing again  do not guarantee they work

We can always rely on Excel plumbing to get the job done right and at a reasonable cost.  They are very courteous about advising of timing of the technicians.  Technicians are knowledgeable and polite as well..Have used them over the years for complex jobs such as installing a new water pressure pump to toilet repairs.

AS HONEST AS IT GETS. I found these nice guys on yelp and I was not disappointed. You can tell they are just good honest hard working guys. They were right on time on both meetings and were ready to get the job done. What a pleasure. I got reasonable estimates and they even came in lower than expected. Great experience

Staff is very professional, efficient, and prompt. Had stoppage issue in bathtub and plumber came out to fix it the same day. Great service. Will definitely use them again.

I had Tim out last spring for a pipe problem that no one else was able to figure out.  He knew right away and did a great job!  I just had one of his men out today for a new toilet and sink drain cleaned out.  Kyle was so pleasant, helpful, and did a great job in a short amount of time.  In the past, getting the sink drain cleared meant someone coming with a big bucket, tools, and spending a lot of time.  It never was cheap either.  Kyle took a quick look with  his flashlight, knew where the clog was, and cleaned it out in a few minutes at no charge.  Who else does that!!

Both Tim and Kyle were a pleasure to deal with and I recommend this company to everyone I know.  I'm a distance from them in Mt. Prospect, but it was no problem. You can't go wrong with this company.

Body Plumbing did  our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system).  He came in about half the price of a few other places we called.  He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork.  Highly recommended, great experience.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

Our faucet stopped working. One second there was water coming out, the next second, it was as dry as a desert. We had a ton of dirty dishes piled up on our kitchen counter, after just having prepared dinner.  It was almost 8 p.m. I panicked.  Yelped plumber and narrowed it down to those who were still open and in my area.  Called the first number I saw and John answered the phone.  I explained the situation and he diagnosed the problem in 30 seconds: Did you try replacing the batteries??

DERP.

He could have charged me $200 to come out on a weeknight to tell me the same thing and I would have been none the wiser.  But instead, he said, very patiently,

Just try changing the batteries.  If that doesn't work, give me a call back.

Needless to say, it worked.  And here I am, so impressed, that I'm writing a 5-star review.  

#Integrity.

I had a problem with main sewer line draining and needed the job done as soon as possible. Even though Eric had a job before me that took much longer than he expected he came out the same day and fixed my problem, Communication , professionalism , reliabilty, quality of work, all top notch. Other people I called were either not availble till the next week, didn't answer their phone or when they came out their estimate was twice what they had quoted me over the phone.
Eric even made a follow up call the next week to make sure everything was A-OK. I will use him for all my plumbing needs in the future!

Ed and his team were incredibly responsive, helpful along the way, and did a fantastic job with our sump and ejector pumps. Felt like a good value for quality work. Going to reach out for HVAC services as well!

Jim responded quickly and fixed my problem right away.  My kitchen water was down to less than a pencil thick trickle.  For $85, he was in and out in  minutes and I've got a beautiful geyser-like flow.  I couldn't be happier.
Bonus:  jim is a real nice guy with a sense of humor and a willingness to do a little more.  He volunteered to check my bathroom flow and even tried to fix a leak until he discovered the extension arm had a little crack.  But he told me where to go and whom to ask for when I got there to get that little problem resolved.
This is the way it should be when you call for help!

I contacted them for a diagnosis of my water heater issue. There was excess water in the water tank tray.  Two plumbers came out and did a visual inspection and immediately told me the tank is leaking and I would have to replace the whole water heater within 3 mins of just being there.  Didn't even open or check the heater.  The remainder of the time was going over the package deals they're offering, ranging from $2,400 (cheapest package quoted) to $6,000 to replace the heater. They also tried to sell me on an annual service agreement for like $200, promising some discount on the heater replacement. I was very disappointed with their inspection, and the fact they kept trying to up sell me.  And they charged $79 for this visual inspection!!!! See attached estimate!

I went and got a second opinion, and the plumber was actually more professional. He actually open up the heater and found that the insulation to be dry, no water was leaking out.  Stayed for over 30 minutes testing out the heating and cooling systems.  No leakage.  He noted the water was due to the drain backup, and not a water tank leak. Quick, easy and CHEAPER fix.  I posted the notes from the second plumber for reference.

Called to complain to management, still no responses.  Please avoid at all cost. They're just after the $$$ and will up sell you at all costs!!
