Best Businesses in Illinois
I never received a call from your business. You failed to show for this appointment. When I contacted your business directly no follow-up was done to complete the work. My number is a Cell number and I'm always available due to the nature of my job. Like I stated I waited all day with no call from this business. I had to find another plumber that did the work after hours.

Jake couldn't have been more kind and professional. He was at my house first thing on a Sunday morning. He identified the problems and was patient with us. He discovered our problems were a more severe than we all thought. He referred us to another company to handle our major repairs and even called to check in later on our progress. Although Jake wasn't able to to fix everything I couldn't be more impressed and I would use him again without question.

Martin is exceptional! This is our first home, and with young kids he has helped us with everything from basic maintenance, fixing dings and damage, to larger projects like tiling and renovations. He gives excellent options that are cost effective, safe, and beautiful. He has a wide range of expertise and he always wears his mask and takes safety precautions very seriously.

Fixer did an excellent job replacing the basement front door on my house.
The door is not standard dimensions, so the job took two steps:
1. Have Fixer order the door and wait for it to come in
2. Have Fixer pick up the door from Home Depot, abd Fixer install the door.

I was happy with their no nonsense straight forward approach that fixed my leak. Their charge for the work was more than reasonable. Would recommend. Thank you.

United Sewer & Drains is pretty awesome. Can't say enough good things. Did a great job, fast & didn't cost too much. Definitely recommend. These are good people.

Highly recommend this company. Prompt service, very reasonable estimate after receiving outrageous ones from another for unnecessary work! Yury was polite, a very hard worker, efficient, and made sure everything was working before he left. I will definitely use Excel in for my future needs.

Had water heater installed by them few months ago on my 2nd floor unit. The job was not done properly and water leaked to 1st floor ceiling, floor and to finished basement. I texted them and the guy said he would come the next day but no call, no show. I'm paying another contractor to fix their work that was not done properly. They're nice enough guys but I am super disappointed and now basically it's costing me double. I do not recommend.

Tim, Andy, and the Keeley's Plumbing crew are outstanding plumbers and even better professionals. Extremely easy to reach, phone never goes to voicemail. Fair, reasonable, pricing. Punctual and polite. I highly recommend them for any sized plumbing job.

Body Plumbing did our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system). He came in about half the price of a few other places we called. He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork. Highly recommended, great experience.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb. I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.
I'll look forward to working with Chicago Backflow again on my annual inspection next year. Thanks again, Mark S.

Back in April this year, I had an issue with my kitchen faucet where it all of a sudden stopped working. The faucet was at least 10 years old, and was a cheap Delta model. I needed to get a replacement, and called up a few plumbers in the Chicago area. Other plumbers I talked to try to upsell me to buy specific faucets they carried, indicating that because they were solid brass they also came with the higher ticket price. I also called The Plumbing Doctor (John), who was very helpful and had recommended Grohe faucets as a great reputable brand -- he also mentioned that the brand that the other plumber had tried to sell me was way overpriced for what they had quoted me.
John was very honest and open about faucets, and was fine even with me buying my own faucet. I ended up getting a nice Kohler since it was in my budget, and John came by and quickly got it replaced within 45 minutes. He did a very timely and clean job. Would recommend him to others, as I'll be calling him back for any other plumbing needs!

In September of 2022 we had flash flooding in Portage Park and many homes had sewer back-up flooding, including us.
I called about a dozen plumbers for estimates for a flood control system for our home. Eric from North Coast plumbing looked over our house and quoted a fixed reasonable price for a double valve flood control system.
Sure there a few other options out there but most of them would give us a low price and then all the extras (light electrical for the pump is extra but required), some of them did not even bother to look at the basement.
Eric explained how they would do the job and what kind of materials they would use. I liked they they would be installing precast concrete rings instead of building the pit with blocks. Using blocks is cheaper but I wanted rings.
Basically from start to finish we had a really good experience with Eric, Nicole and the crew.
Thanks much North Coast Plumbing!!

So plumber came out the same day, rotted one stack said the other didn't need rotting. Now my plumbing is more screwed up then it was before he came. I ran the washer and all the water for the washer is now being pushed into the kitchen sink, and water is leaking from the stack. Not sure what he did to screw up the plumbing, but now I need another plumber to come out and fix the mistake this company made.

We had a 3rd floor condo bathroom, where the hot water pressure was barely a trickle. Showering, was incredibly refreshing, but with the really cold weather, it became impossible.
The issue was not a building-wide issue (the hot water risers had been replaced a few years ago), so this was something within our unit. We called plumber #1 who said they'd have to rip out the tile, break into the wall, replace all of the pipes at a cost of about $2,500-$3,500. Yikes! $150.00 for the visit.
The building's management company gave us the name of plumber #2 who said nonsense! 'Dis is a Chicago Faucet... we do 'dis kid of 'ting all da time... no problem! They came out, pulled the faucet, pulled the handles and valves... and in the long run ($350.00 later) they couldn't fix it.
Each of these visits from plumbers #1 and #2 we had to have the water turned off in the tier... (no small feat).
The building maintenance guy told us to give Pressure Pros a call. Jay came out quickly... we didn't have to have the water turned off. He was on time, he was a nice guy... he lugged this unusual home-grown device, on two wheels, up three flights of stairs... plugged it into the shower nozzle, spent 20 minutes pushing pressure back and forth, back and forth... while we sat and talked.
When he pulled the device back off the nozzle, miraculously... without turning off the water to the tier... without damaging the bathroom tile, and without needing to use our Home-Equity-Line-of-Credit... we had more hot water pressure than we'd ever had. And all for less than $100.00. He didn't accept credit cards... but he said he'd mail me a bill.
I can't say enough nice things about Jay and Pressure Pros. They saved us thousands, they were professional, nice, neat and showed up on time. What more can you ask!?

This crew worked on a blocked sewer at my home some time ago soon after we moved into our home.
We were unable to get sewer outflow anywhere except onto the basement floor. Needless to say we were desperate for help.
After less than an hour of trying to clear the block they gave me a proposal to dig down to the sewer, through my basement floor. Total cost was estimated at over $8k.
I'm embarrassed to share how far down the road we went with that scheme before I realized we hadn't correctly identified where the sewer ran and that there was a clean out access they hadn't tried to clear the line through.
Sure enough--using the existing access that they cleared the line but not before pulling up some basement floor.
Honestly the crew was incompetent but still managed to bill me for the excavation.
