I never received a call from your business. You failed to show for this appointment. When I contacted your business directly no follow-up was done to complete the work. My number is a Cell number and I'm always available due to the nature of my job. Like I stated I waited all day with no call from this business. I had to find another plumber that did the work after hours.

Jake was awesome!!! I called on thanksgiving expecting to get voicemail, but Jake answered in the first three rings!!! He came out promptly the next morning and had the water up and running before noon!!!! Best experience I have ever had with any home repairs. The service was awesome and Jake was very friendly. He answered all my questions. I'm truly impressed with the service. Call Jake you won't regret it.

Martin is exceptional! This is our first home, and with young kids he has helped us with everything from basic maintenance, fixing dings and damage, to larger projects like tiling and renovations. He gives excellent options that are cost effective, safe, and beautiful. He has a wide range of expertise and he always wears his mask and takes safety precautions very seriously.

During the Spring of 2017 my basement flooded at least w inches of water during heavy rains in chucago.  I had the lines Roddenberry 3 different  times thinking each time this will work.  Nope.  I purchased submersible sump pumps to send the water wherever it's supposed to go.  Finally, Spring 2019 was the food that broke the camels back.  I called United Sewer & Drain.  These guys came out with cameras and showed me the water pipe from the city to my property was broken on my side of the sidewalk.  United took out the old pipes, installed new pipes and Voila, no more flooding until the next heavy rain.  I called them back, they returned and discovered the pipe goongbto the drain at the back of the house between the basement back door and steps was broken.  How does that happen?  They dug up the concrete, installed bew pipe, concrete the area, made the drain a little larger than the ol one and I am now a happy camper.  Call these guys if you are having flooding problems.  Oh, by the way - before calling United I called the City, no help at all.

The whole team was great with communication. The plumber arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. I'll definitely be using Excel Plumbing again!

Tim is awesome what more needs to be said?  I called him at 6:30 AM with a leaky pipe and he was at my house as soon as I let him know the City was coming to shut off the water.  Took a nerve wracking situation and handled it professionally.  Very friendly and straightforward and had everything needed for the repair with him.  Quoted me a price on the phone and stuck with it.  Even brought 'inside shoes' because he thought his boots were too dirty (they weren't but much appreciated).  Will definitely have him back for future repairs.  Highly recommended!!!

We called Body plumbing to repair one of our leaking backflow valves. He gave us good price on the repair and he even came twice to work on it after the first attempt did not come out right at no extra charge. His pricing however on testing was good but we found better so we will use another company for yearly testing. We will definitively call him again to get pricing in the future though.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

Jon is a lifesaver and is absolutely my go-to plumber from now on.  Last night our basement's ejector pump suddenly failed.  It was an emergency as the snow was melting and I had a trip planned with my wife for Valentine's Day the next day.  The first people I called canceled after two hours, so I called the Plumbing Doctor.  Jon first talked me through how to possibly fix it myself, then arrived in exactly the time he gave when that did not work.

Jon was very considerate and patient with our situation, as well as cost-conscious.  It turned out that the pump needed to be replaced; he explained to us exactly what the problem was and how to avoid it in the future.  He offered to fix it the next day using our key, but replaced it in good cheer when we changed our mind and asked him to come back out (at 10pm!).

I can't say enough good things about the Plumbing Doctor.  He saved our plans in an emergency situation, was completely transparent and sensitive about cost and was patient with our indecision at an incredibly late hour.

I highly recommend Eric and his team... very trustworthy and responsive, high quality work and follow up on jobs both big and small.  Highly recommended!

The reviews on Yelp are much more consistent with my experience with J.Blanton plumbing than the reviews on Google. No trip charge and friendly service certainly wins people over. I hired J. Blanton plumbing to replace an O-ring at the bottom of a toilet a few years ago. This is a part which costs a few dollars. I sent a family member to oversee the repair because I had to work and somehow this turned into me being sold an entirely new toilet for $750. I had told them at the time I placed the call that I had a coupon $50 coupon. They didn't ask for it and didn't apply it. When I asked them to refund the amt of the coupon, I was told I could use it on a future service. So argued and threatened a negative review until they agreed to refund the amount of the coupon.  

Fast forward to yesterday. This past Sunday, I replaced the flush handle and flapper in a different apartment occupied by a tenant. Yesterday received a call from the tenant that the toilet wouldn't flush or fill at all. I felt bad that I had argued and called J. Blanton Plumping to give them some repeat business. (Terrible idea.)   They explained since it was the middle of the day, there'd be no emergency charge and could be there within a couple of hours. (Great!) When I asked for an estimate, they said, they charge by the project, not by the hour, and I would be quoted on site. Ok. About 90 minutes later I received a call from Shane Waycoff from JBP who informed me the bowl was not filling and I would need to replace the pump valve. I asked how we went from a broken flush handle a couple of days ago to needing a new pump valve and how much would that be.  (Obviously I assumed something about our installation hadn't been done correctly.) He said he didn't know how we got there, but it would be $702. (!!!) I said that was ridiculous and that this same thing happened to me before with this company - that I went from needing a $5 part to replacing the entire toilet. (My fault for calling them again.)  Shane then said because my toilet had old parts (photos of my NOT old toilet valve functioning perfectly below,) he could get me a whole new toilet for some obnoxious price over $1000. I said, no thank you to both services. I went by the apartment to check out the problem before trying to contact anyone else for repairs.  After a 15 second inspection, I could see the slack of the chain connecting the flush handle and the flapper was caught between the flapper and the drain pipe. I cleared the chain and adjusted it so there wasn't as much slack. The flapper shut over the drain securely and the toilet filled perfectly. This could have been an easy opportunity for them to get a raving positive review had Shane addressed the ACUTAL issue. I would have been happy to pay some fair amount for someone making the trip. Instead, that guy tried to charge me $700 for a repair I didn't even need!

So if you feel like you have money to burn on repairs and equipment you don't need and extorted for not being handy, call J. Blanton Plumbing.  I'll just wait for their rude response to my negative review now.
