I had just closed on my house on 03/26/20 Wednesday, and then discovered a little puddle of water in my basement by the floor drain and furnace today, 03/28/20 Sat. I have not even moved in my house yet so I was freaking out. The home warranty company I purchased, American Shield Home Warranty, were horrible! When I called them to send a plumber, they said they would send one asap and have them call me. Well, I kept calling them, and gave up after waiting for three hours since no one would follow up on my service request.

So, I decided to do a google search for plumbers and found Mr. Burris' company. I decided to call them. Mr. Burris called me in less than an hour and asked what the problem was. When I told him the problem, he said that he was coming right away.

Not only did Mr. Burris diagnose the problem right away, he fixed it. The water turned out not to be anything major. Mr. Burris was honest and he did not try to advantage of me since I was a new homeowner. He went above and beyond his duty. He educated me on my heating, cooling, and plumbing system and that is priceless.

Thank God for Mr. Burris. I highly recommend him

Jake came out on a Saturday Labor Day weekend to help with standing in my basement. He was so friendly and professional explained everything and it turned out to be just a jammed float in our ejector. He refused to even charge the full service fee and just took a small amount of money! Blown away! Highly recommend and will definitely be calling them when we need to do the next project! Great work, great price. Fixed a running toilet and a drain that had come loose from the bottom of a sink.

$150 up front then $90/hr there after.
He does not waste time, he had to take the toilet off a few times to get the seal perfect, all of his work has held up well for over a month.

Will def hire again in the future.

This is a long-overdue review of an excellent business!  I've had them come for two jobs at my house: redoing closets and refinishing a cracked and peeling ceiling in the kitchen.  Both jobs were done flawlessly by workmen who were professional and friendly.  Compared to many conrators that take your money and do bad work, or take your money and leave a project half-finished (I've experienced both), these folks are conscientious, careful, and make sure that you're happy with the product. I will definitely come back with more work for them!

Excellent response time by Konstantin. Martin arrived on time to deal with drain backups in laundry and kitchen sinks. He identified the problem to be in the laundry area and quickly cleared it up. Martin was very personable and professional and the price was fair. I've been in my house for 30 years and have used many plumbers. I highly recommend Emergency Plumbing and will definitely call them next time!

Not an emergency, but noticed water was draining slowly in shower. Called Ace and had the guys out within 2 hours. Bobby called me and told me when they were on their way and there they were to save the day. Turned out to be some nasty hair clogs (my fault) but Mike and Mitch (I hope I remember the names right) took care of it all super fast, cleaned up after, and even made me feel better about the whole situation with some lighthearted jokes. Not everyone's experience would need/warrant that last part, but for me it made me feel better about clogging my pipes with chunks of hair and what not. Bobby called later to follow up, much appreciated.  
Bottom line, was it cheap? No, but plumbing hardly ever is and they are experts for a reason. We couldn't and wouldn't want to do it ourselves.
Was the crew responsive, effective, and fast? Absolutely.

Very responsible and highly recommended. Come for estimated and fair price and repaired my front yard sewer within 4 days . Follow up with further concerns. Will hire them again for my maintain .

Was very pleased with the service from initial phone call to completion.  Called for an emergency fix of a clogged kitchen sink in a tenant's apartment.  Plumber was there a few hours later and explained everything that needed to be done to fix.  He cleaned up after himself and was done quickly.  I would definitely call them again for plumbing work!

The crew arrived on the scheduled day and called ahead to let us know they were coming and what time they would arrive. They were polite, explained everything and had the job done in 2 days. They cleaned up after. They answered all my questions. Fabulous job! I would definitely hire them again!

Outstanding to work with....Installed 2 hot water heaters. They showed up on time, explained what they were doing, cleaned up, and did it at a fair price....

We called Body plumbing to repair one of our leaking backflow valves. He gave us good price on the repair and he even came twice to work on it after the first attempt did not come out right at no extra charge. His pricing however on testing was good but we found better so we will use another company for yearly testing. We will definitively call him again to get pricing in the future though.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

Rude, condescending jerk acted like he was doing me a favor. Fixed clogged sink, was to replace another, but after providing the estimate and promising to pick up new sink and fixtures, would not return calls.

We own a rental property in Glenview and after our current tenants departed decided to investigate the root cause of water in the lower level family room.  A sewer backup system was installed about 12 years ago by another company but we still had rain water during really heavy storms.  We had the Village of Glenview send paid engineers to inspect the property and assess how water may be coming into the home.   One of their recommendations, among others, was to call a plumber and video the storm lines and make any necessary repairs (I didn't have to pay someone to tell me that)

My wife found North Coast through Yelp and so Eric came and gave us an assessment.  His description of how water enters a home was very similar to what the Engineers said, in fact he was better than them.  He was able to quickly assess that our clay tile storm line had collapsed in front of the house and this was probably the main culprit.

He gave me a quote that included digging the front yard, putting in a new PVC, and also included the annual maintenance of the sewer backup system and fix a leaking faucet in the bathroom to boot.  Sounded like a good deal so I said yes.  Eric pulled the city permits that day and was about start the following day.   But because I did not shop around I was having second thoughts given that this was a big job.

So I put a hold on the job and called two other plumbers, including the company who initially installed our backup system and did the annual maintenance.  They weren't even close.   One plumber wanted to charge me just for videoing the storm line.   The other suggested cutting off the storm line completely from the city.  When I asked if this was legal, he said he's doing this all over Wilmette and that village has approved it....but hinted he would not pull a Glenview permit for this job!

Both plumbers quotes came in at twice the cost of what North Coast was quoting and it didn't include the other two things Eric threw in (maintenance of sewer backup and fix leaking faucet)

We went back to North Coast, and Eric being the nice guy he is, had no issues and since the permit was already pulled, he got to work a few days later and was finished in 1 day.  They did it while I was out of town, so I don't have any pictures of the work.   But it obviously passed inspection.  We also added a catch valve to the new storm line just for additional peace of mind.  Eric also did the annual service for the sewer backup system as promised.

The kicker was the leaking bathroom faucet that was also part of the original quote.  It was a European made faucet we installed when we did a remodel years back and the parts are not easy to come by.  Eric went to the original store we bought it from to pick up the part himself....but they gave him the wrong piece.  Eric made the effort to go back to the store several days later and return with the correct part to fix the leak over a weekend.

The bottom line is that Eric came off much more knowledgeable and trust worthy than the other plumbers including the one I've been using for years.  He also has more practical experience than the village sanctioned engineers.  I will definitely use him again or refer him to others based on his honesty, work ethic, fast service and competitive pricing.

We contacted these guys when we found our sewer vent line corroded through behind our kitchen cabinet, leaking sewer gas into our house!

Daniel showed up same day to provide a quote.  He knew right away what the problem was, and mentioned that it was common among homes in our neighborhood.  He explained thoroughly that there could be discovery work, as the line may be leaking in multiple (inconvenient) places.  He gave us a range for how much it could cost depending on what they found once we removed the cabinet.  I was nervous this could be a chance to charge us the max, but I had nothing to fear, these guys are very honest.

Marty and Daniel were able to come out the same week and arrived on time.  Sure enough, the line was leaking in two locations, but they were able to perform all the work inconspicuously behind our kitchen cabinet using some clever techniques.  The price was more than reasonable and they were done in only two hours.

I'm so glad we found these guys - I don't have any more anxiety about calling a plumber. They've earned a customer for life! Or at least as long as we live in Elmhurst :)

Pressure Pro got the job done. Our building building and our unit was notorious for weak water pressure, especially in the bathrooms. Jim and his guys got the pressure back up to a level I didn't think possible. Pressure Pro Rocks!

Again, after coming out a 2nd time and telling me they would have an estimate report for me within a day I haven't gotten anything.

I have no idea what their issue is but they need to figure it out. I really can't believe this is a sustainable business model (charging people $79 for estimates and then not providing anything) so I don't know what's going on. It's very strange, but either way I'd say use a different plumbing company

Edit: After posting this review they called me and told me they had email problems. They sent out the estimate right away. I'm going to shop around and will report back if it's a good quote or not
