Jake came out on a Saturday Labor Day weekend to help with standing in my basement. He was so friendly and professional explained everything and it turned out to be just a jammed float in our ejector. He refused to even charge the full service fee and just took a small amount of money! Blown away! Highly recommend and will definitely be calling them when we need to do the next project! We've been renovating a condo for the past few months and used Martin the past two nights to finish up a few final things. There have been more than 20 workers through our doors and he was my favorite. Wish I had found him before we were finishing up our renovation. He's very honest, hard working, knowledgeable and friendly. He also has evening slots which is nice for people who work during the day.

Quick: I needed to replace my overhead microwave unit in my apartment. I reached out to 8-10 different handyman services, fixer was the first to respond. They also were the first to give a quote that was responsible and didn't look the haggle.

Communicative: when fixer reaches out, they have a texting service that they communicate through and have you save in your phone. The texting service Walk's through payment, scheduling, and any changes or updates. After scheduling me a few days later a new appointment time opened up and the texting service alerted me and I made the appointment for the new time.

Professional: fixer had two people come. As soon as they checked in, I received an email/text that said the people had checked in and their estimate for job length. They best their estimated time by 30 minutes which saved me substantial dollars from the initial estimate.

Pro tip: use the Yelp handyman feature for looking for a handy man.

Konstantin was great. Responded almost immediately, scheduled the free estimate the next day. Very fair price and very professional. Competed the work quickly, even replacing two additional things day of.  Walked me through all the work and showed all water was back on. Would definitely recommend

I recently moved into a new house and the plumbing in the Tub needed some major work!! We tried everything to unclogged the tub. Nothing worked. I finally gave up and call these guys from a recommendation on one of my moms group on Facebook. They answered my call immediately and they arrived within the hour. They were done within minutes! A huge clunk of hair came out of the drain. They also did my sink while they were at it. Thank you so much!!

United Sewer & Drains is pretty awesome.  Can't say enough good things.  Did a great job, fast & didn't cost too much.  Definitely recommend.  These are good people.

I had to have our kitchen sinks unplugged and was in somewhat of  a time crunch.  I called several plumbers and wasn't happy with the answers I got in terms of time available and costs.  When I contacted Excel, they were very responsive to my needs and quoted what I felt was a fair cost as compared to some others.  I also asked if they had either military, or senior discounts and they did.  The best part was that they were at my home in less than an hour and Yuri, their plumber worked quickly to unclog the drain.

Should I need a plumber again, they'll be the first one I call.

Had Steve come out, he did a great job. We had a unique situation with our current sink - it was improperly installed and ended up needing a new vanity. Steve was very patient with all the problems from living in an older home. We ended up having leaks two more times because of the vanity and they came back very quickly at no charge. Real stand up business!

What a gem of a company...seriously.  We had used another local plumbing company that charged us an arm and a leg, and didn't even get the job done.  When we had water coming through our ceiling, we called Thompson Plumbing and Nicholas came out same day.  It took several hours to diagnose the problem and fix it...which he did successfully.  I was terrified to get the bill based on our last experience, and was pleasantly surprised that it was 1/4 of the price the prior company had charged.  I highly recommend Thompson Plumbing...they will be my first call from now on!

Great work! Fixed our water heater right away.  Fair pricing.  Checked in to make sure it was working later.  It was easy to schedule a time as well.  I will definitely use them again in the future.

Body Plumbing did  our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system).  He came in about half the price of a few other places we called.  He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork.  Highly recommended, great experience.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.
I'll look forward to working with Chicago Backflow again on my annual inspection next year.  Thanks again, Mark S.

Do NOT hire this guy.

The TOTO plumbing supply store recommended John to fix our toilets. After no-showing and missing appointments, he finally showed up to do the work. He did most, but not all of the work. When we were waiting for him to come back and finish, some of the work broke. When I told him he has to not only come back to finish, he needs he get back right away and fix the toilets again which were broken. He wouldn't return phone calls or come back.

His best/worst excuse was, calling minutes before one of my scheduled appointments and said he is on the way to my house to do the work, but an emergency came up and he had to reschedule.

I was irritated -- again -- buy said okay, and to come the next day.

Then he asked me for my address. MY ADDRESS.

If you are currently on your way to my house, how do you not know my address? How do you know where you are driving...?

Don't hire this guy.

BTW -  the plumbing supply house who recommended me made an extra effort by driving the replacement parts to my house and apologized profusely about the situation.

I've used North Coast several times and I didn't have good experience EVERY single time - I found them to be very expensive and wanting to charge me work that is not needed.  For example, they told me that my sump pumps need to be replaced but they are actually working properly.  I shouldn't have to compare work with other companies if they can just be honest and with good integrity.  I will never use them again.

he came to give a estimate and was able to do the job right away we needed an old water softener taken out and a pipe replacement it was done quickly  also he was on time and we were very  happy with the work and will call him if needed again

Jay just called me back (after I left 3 messages - however to his credit he called me left me 1 message and another time didn't leave a message). However this was during a 2 week span. When he called back right now he was in an accusatory tone saying we had a conversation that I told him last week to call me this week. Also that it was about my kitchen sink which only produced cold water. That is not true. The messages I left were about my bathroom and kitchen sink being clogged. When I tried to explain this to him he wasn't having it. When I told him that I didn't hear back after almost 2 weeks I had another call out to someone else, he got mad and said we'll go with them bc I know we talked last week. No we didn't and the fact this guy takes a few days to return a call is a joke.

HORRIBLE - do NOT use this company. I never write Yelp reviews, but my experience with this company was so epically bad that I created an account.  Absolutely unprofessional, terrible customer service, and crappy plumbing work. It took 3 months to finish my sink repair work, they did not properly install the water filtration system, and installed the wrong faucet. They came out in Dec 2022 for an initial estimate/assessment and I am STILL waiting for my issues to be fixed, three months later. I still have the wrong faucet and a broken filtration system. Management refuses to respond to any of my calls or emails. Belle Untalan or Luis (?) are the managers but they refuse to respond or provide solutions.

My friend recommended the plumbers Fettes Love & Sieben (773) 935-7260 and said they were fantastic. Wish I had started with them.....
