I had just closed on my house on 03/26/20 Wednesday, and then discovered a little puddle of water in my basement by the floor drain and furnace today, 03/28/20 Sat. I have not even moved in my house yet so I was freaking out. The home warranty company I purchased, American Shield Home Warranty, were horrible! When I called them to send a plumber, they said they would send one asap and have them call me. Well, I kept calling them, and gave up after waiting for three hours since no one would follow up on my service request.

So, I decided to do a google search for plumbers and found Mr. Burris' company. I decided to call them. Mr. Burris called me in less than an hour and asked what the problem was. When I told him the problem, he said that he was coming right away.

Not only did Mr. Burris diagnose the problem right away, he fixed it. The water turned out not to be anything major. Mr. Burris was honest and he did not try to advantage of me since I was a new homeowner. He went above and beyond his duty. He educated me on my heating, cooling, and plumbing system and that is priceless.

Thank God for Mr. Burris. I highly recommend him

Jake came out on a Saturday Labor Day weekend to help with standing in my basement. He was so friendly and professional explained everything and it turned out to be just a jammed float in our ejector. He refused to even charge the full service fee and just took a small amount of money! Blown away! Highly recommend and will definitely be calling them when we need to do the next project! He does not waste time, he had to take the toilet off a few times to get the seal perfect, all of his work has held up well for over a month.

This is a long-overdue review of an excellent business!  I've had them come for two jobs at my house: redoing closets and refinishing a cracked and peeling ceiling in the kitchen.  Both jobs were done flawlessly by workmen who were professional and friendly.  Compared to many conrators that take your money and do bad work, or take your money and leave a project half-finished (I've experienced both), these folks are conscientious, careful, and make sure that you're happy with the product. I will definitely come back with more work for them!

Emergency plumbing installed our toilets in three of our bathrooms. They even pointed out things to us we hadn't noticed about a pipe that had been leaking which was so helpful! We were so pleased with this experience that we asked them to come back to cap pipes in our basement. Very reasonable price and great on timing.  Very friendly!

These guys came out in the middle of the night and saved our basement.
Not only did they have a vacuum truck on the scene to pump out our backed up catch basin, they used hydrojetting to break through a clog that a rod wouldn't budge.

Fairly priced for a middle of the night emergency.

United Sewer & Drains is pretty awesome.  Can't say enough good things.  Did a great job, fast & didn't cost too much.  Definitely recommend.  These are good people.

I had to have our kitchen sinks unplugged and was in somewhat of  a time crunch.  I called several plumbers and wasn't happy with the answers I got in terms of time available and costs.  When I contacted Excel, they were very responsive to my needs and quoted what I felt was a fair cost as compared to some others.  I also asked if they had either military, or senior discounts and they did.  The best part was that they were at my home in less than an hour and Yuri, their plumber worked quickly to unclog the drain.

Should I need a plumber again, they'll be the first one I call.

Inspection on a property we are trying to close on. They were prompt to the appointment. Even called an hour before to verify! I was worried about some plumbing in the basement, they assured me there was no problem. They quoted for some repairs and if I end up using them for their services, I will update this yelp review!

What a gem of a company...seriously.  We had used another local plumbing company that charged us an arm and a leg, and didn't even get the job done.  When we had water coming through our ceiling, we called Thompson Plumbing and Nicholas came out same day.  It took several hours to diagnose the problem and fix it...which he did successfully.  I was terrified to get the bill based on our last experience, and was pleasantly surprised that it was 1/4 of the price the prior company had charged.  I highly recommend Thompson Plumbing...they will be my first call from now on!

Tim was amazing -- he came out right when we called, fixed the problem AND MORE! He fixed a tub that was not draining (gross!) and now it works fabulous. He also helped fine a water line off valve that many other people, including another plumber, couldn't find. He was very patient and did all this work at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend to anyone!

Body Plumbing did  our City of Chicago Backflow Device testing for our house (we have a home sprinkler system).  He came in about half the price of a few other places we called.  He was on time, very nice and professional and did all the paperwork.  Highly recommended, great experience.

People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

If it wasn't for the Plumbing Doctor we would be frozen in the winter. When our old faulty hot water heater started acting up, we dialed Jon and he was available almost immediately to come out and replace our hot water heater. On top of that it was extremely affordable!

Our darling money pit of a house had a few sewer/pipe related issues (not a shock when it was built in the 50's and had never had any pipe work done). Eric came out to diagnose our issue (drain in basement was backing up) and offered us two solutions: one, to have our main pipe rodded out from the interior going OUT, or to have it rodded out from the exterior going IN. The first option was quite reasonable, and the second, while expensive, was way under what even our contractor estimated it would likely cost.

Ultimately we went the more expensive route - which proved to be the right choice. Eric csme out and used a camera to see that roots had completely overtaken our pipe - not uncommon here in Tree City, Winnetka. So the next day he sent his wife to collect our contract and pull permits from the City. The day after that they were hard at work digging up our yard but it was amazing to me just how careful and neatly they did the work, considering they had a mini-excavator in our front yard. The pipe broke in the process (again, this was not a surprise, it happens a lot) so they just fixed it. It was an all-day job but they were fantastic.

So we think our problems are over but we are still getting a back up in our basement. We place a call to Eric and he comes the next day, ready to fix it. It turns out it was a few different problems meshed together, but after clearing pipes downstairs and doing a MAJOR unclogging job upstairs, (this whole thing took about 3 hours), problems have been solved and HE DID NOT CHARGE US A DIME. That's right - he came back to fix it and didn't charge extra.

I will tell you this - it is hard to find quality work and integrity, and Eric and his crew are the real deal. Timely, polite, smart, hard-working. We are so grateful to him and his team, and we would not hesitate for one second to refer him to anyone else in the area (yes, Winnetkans, you live in a flood plain, so take Eric's number down, you will likely need it at some point!).

I've used All Suburban for my sump pump, ejector pump and just recently they repaired a broken sewer line.  All 3 have been emergency situations and they've been extremely responsive, friendly and professional.  

They're my go to for plumbing and highly recommend.

We live on the 4th floor of a 40 year old condo building.  The building often has water pressure problems (particularly after a condo-wide water shut-off for servicing).  Some years ago, Jay and his father from Pressure Pro came out and fixed the water pressure problem we were having.  We recently started having another water pressure problem and the hot water was down to a trickle.  Our Condo Management tried to send out another service company, but they would not come out on a weekend.  We remembered Pressure Pro and insisted that our Management Company use them.  Jay came out and had strong water pressure back in no time.  While he was here, he took the time to explain how to help prevent future pressure problems, and also made some recommendations for fixing some other unrelated issues.  Jay and Pressure Pro are one of those rare Chicago area services that are honest, friendly and reliable.  We cannot say enough good things about Pressure Pro.

I called Jack Blanton because I saw and ad for $50 off any repair and my toilet was broken.

He showed up ontime, fixed my toilet, charged a fair price and honored the coupon. I'd use him again if the need arose!
