Best Businesses in Illinois
I never received a call from your business. You failed to show for this appointment. When I contacted your business directly no follow-up was done to complete the work. My number is a Cell number and I'm always available due to the nature of my job. Like I stated I waited all day with no call from this business. I had to find another plumber that did the work after hours.

Jake and Brandon were terrific ! They came out at short notice (didn't charge an emergency or late fee because he's a decent human being!!!) and replaced two sump pumps. We only bought the house a month ago and with the threat of heavy rain, needed to have these checked out. He walked in and in 10 seconds diagnosed our issues. Within 30 minutes two new pumps were in. He showed us how they work, what they're made of, etc. He truly knows and takes pride in the work that he does. Cash or check only, but HIGHLY recommended!!

Martin went above and beyond for a minor repair, he not only answered my call and gave me a same-day appointment (without upcharging like some do), he also arrived, looked at my bathroom hose, realized it needed replacement and not fixing, and that the company that provided my bathroom sink/hose also provides a lifetime warranty. He even offered to place the service call for me. But then he realized it might take a week to get it replaced by the company, and given it is the only bathroom I have, he said he will see if there are alternatives. 10 min later he calls me and tells me he went out to BestBuy he found the needed part and asks if it's ok to come back and replace. Now tell me if you ever had a handyman who also cares, well now you do. Thanks Martin!

This is a long-overdue review of an excellent business! I've had them come for two jobs at my house: redoing closets and refinishing a cracked and peeling ceiling in the kitchen. Both jobs were done flawlessly by workmen who were professional and friendly. Compared to many conrators that take your money and do bad work, or take your money and leave a project half-finished (I've experienced both), these folks are conscientious, careful, and make sure that you're happy with the product. I will definitely come back with more work for them!

I was happy with their no nonsense straight forward approach that fixed my leak. Their charge for the work was more than reasonable. Would recommend. Thank you.

I would definitely recommend these guys! Bobby and his crew were right on time, efficient and professional. Great service and a fair price. They will be my go to guys for any drain problems going forward.

I called them because they were in the area. They came fast and very convenient. Not sure if they where pricey but got the job in less than an hour from time of call.

You have absolutely no idea how important a water heater is to your home, lifestyle, and well-being until it decides that it has had enough! After more than 10 years of service, our 6-year Bradford White water heater started to leak profusely from the top. Having had mixed experiences with multiple local plumbing and HVAC companies, I decided to finally give Excel Plumbing a shot at installing a new Bradford White water heater--and that seems to have been a great decision! Reasonable pricing, consistent communication, professionalism, quality equipment, and products, and no upselling. They also helped with City of Evanston permitting. Ed C. Thom, Dmitry, and everyone involved were fantastic. As a real estate broker, I highly recommend Excel to my clients and colleagues!

This company is wonderful! They came out the same day to fix my shower drain and toilet. They called when they were on their way and showed up a few minutes early. The owner is so nice and helpful as the company name implies. He's the type of guy you want sit and have a beer with!! The only slightly negative I have to mention is the cost. They rodded out my shower drain and removed the toilet clog in 20 minutes and it cost me $300! Yikes! After they left, I found out that plumbers are crazy expensive no matter who you call. Similar work would've cost me $250-$400 with any other company, so their prices are, in fact, reasonable. Just be prepared!
Overall, great reliable service. I would definitely use Helpful Plumber again!

Staff is very professional, efficient, and prompt. Had stoppage issue in bathtub and plumber came out to fix it the same day. Great service. Will definitely use them again.

Highly recommend! I am so pleased with Tim's service. He is very knowledgeable, quick, clean, and competitively priced.
We have an old house, with very old plumbing. One of our bathroom sinks was leaking, so we called Good Guys Plumbing and after making us wait at home an entire day while they kept pushing back our appointment, they sent a guy who took 4 hours (including 2 trips to the hardware store), tracked mud all throughout the house, left the bathroom in complete disarray, and handed us a huge bill. Not to mention, we had the work inspected and it is not done to code.
Needless to say, when our other bathroom had the same problem, we didn't call the same plumber. We called Tim and are so thankful we did!
Tim did the exact same job in an hour, correctly, less expensive, no mess, and arrived on time. He left the bathroom spotless because he took the time to lay down blankets and then cleaned up after himself.
Don't make the same mistake I did. Call Tim first and save yourself the headache.

We called Body plumbing to repair one of our leaking backflow valves. He gave us good price on the repair and he even came twice to work on it after the first attempt did not come out right at no extra charge. His pricing however on testing was good but we found better so we will use another company for yearly testing. We will definitively call him again to get pricing in the future though.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb. I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.
I'll look forward to working with Chicago Backflow again on my annual inspection next year. Thanks again, Mark S.

John did a fantastic job analyzing my water heater, giving me an appropriate estimate, and scheduling a follow-up to quickly replace my broken water heater.
John was able to text me to notify me of changes in his schedule, and even texted me after his work was complete just to check-in and ensure I was satisfied. He educated me on my new hot water heater, and even chatted with me about which tools would be most helpful for me to purchase and have on-hand for my new condo.
Thanks, John!

We just moved into our new house, (new to us, built in 1947) and immediately realized we had a leak from our kitchen sink into the basement. It quickly became a serious issue. Eric and his helper came and he assessed the problem and quickly devised a plan of action. He then fixed our problem in a timely and professional manner. He turned what we thought would be a costly and lengthy repair into a quick and affordable fix. I recommend him highly for whatever plumbing issues that you may have. We will certainly stick with North Coast Sewer and Drainage when/if other plumbing issues arise!!!

I had called 4 different plumbers within a half hour (had to shut off my water kind of situation) a few days ago and all were slammed with customers. Now even though I used a different company because the owner happened to answer the phone, I want to compliment this company because they called me back within a half hour. I appreciate that!

We live on the 4th floor of a 40 year old condo building. The building often has water pressure problems (particularly after a condo-wide water shut-off for servicing). Some years ago, Jay and his father from Pressure Pro came out and fixed the water pressure problem we were having. We recently started having another water pressure problem and the hot water was down to a trickle. Our Condo Management tried to send out another service company, but they would not come out on a weekend. We remembered Pressure Pro and insisted that our Management Company use them. Jay came out and had strong water pressure back in no time. While he was here, he took the time to explain how to help prevent future pressure problems, and also made some recommendations for fixing some other unrelated issues. Jay and Pressure Pro are one of those rare Chicago area services that are honest, friendly and reliable. We cannot say enough good things about Pressure Pro.

This is THE worst review I've ever written and I patiently waited for months until I lost all faith after every opportunity we gave to the owner as he promised again n again. DO NOT HIRE JBLANTON! OR YOU WILL REGRET!!!
Our guest bathroom was destroyed by upper unit, JB was hired to do a bathroom repair project in Jan. First they came n made a sales pitch- they were 3 times higher than the highest quote at the time, but I thought I were paying for quality, so I bought it - HUGE MISTAKE!
The first crew did the rough in after the dry wall was removed - the perfect time for the most basic plumbing job. However, they screwed up so epically, every plumber we hired after JB when we showed them the pics had to laugh, the job is so basic and easy, but extremely important, if you do it wrong, nothing can be installed on top of that, and you shouldn't call yourself a licensed plumber, you should go back to school and take some lessons, simple as that!
The first crew assured us everything was good to go. I asked him twice, he claimed he is a 30-year veteran, I mustn't doubt him. So we closed the drywall and installed new tiles wall to floor...they came over to complete the project, however, they tried several times with different crews and asked us to buy many useless, expensive and non-returnable parts... I must have made a dozen trips to the stores, and stayed on the phone with the tech support for hours then days....The last crew finally told us, the rough in was done incorrectly and we should hire a different company to give it a try. Since then, we had many companies came over and tried to fix it, all failed after spending thousands of dollars on labor. The bottom line - we have to remove the tiles and reopen the wall. Here are the problems we discovered - Missing air chambers which are required on all plumbing fixtures. Shut off valves were INSIDE the wall which is inaccessible. Terrible job of soldering copper all over pipes, no Consumer Rights Acknowledgement Form which is a violation. Most importantly, rough in was done wrong... IT IS A MESS! And the cost to rectify this is astronomical - materials ( if we can find matching tiles that has been discontinued), IF we can reuse the same system which has been cut by many companies, and labor cost...Since then, the owner Kyle offered that he will fix this by opening the master bathroom wall which also has floor to wall tiles to fix the guest bathroom rough in. Either way, we are going thru another major construction and risking losing another bathroom and potential damage to the building.
This repair project was the most challenging we had due to the cause, Covid, and bad weather, to the point, we were physically and mentally worn out, the neighbors also had enough. To go thru this again by a team who couldn't do it right to begin with is just too risky. We said no. We asked for refund which they wouldn't do, we had to disputed long and hard with our CC company. We asked them to pay for the plumbers we hired to fix their mistakes. The owner has been promising us a check for weeks, then months, then he said if we didn't get the check by last week, he promised he would personally deliver the check. At this point, there was nothing and no more promises, we have a non-working bathroom and will not pass inspection. And don't even know HOW and WHEN we can fix this mess. My head hurts so much just thinking about it ! How much money do you honestly think this experience can justify!?
we are SO glad we didn't take his promise to fix the mistakes, we would most likely lose another bathroom and dealing with a bigger mess. DO NOT TRUST THEM NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY AND S.T. A.Y A.W.A.Y!
As to the owner - please allow me to explain the word promise - a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that guarantees that a particular thing will happen otherwise, it's called a LIE. I PROMISE I will never hire your company, and will try my best and hardest to share my honest experience to all my friends and metaverse.
