My husband found Mr Burris after a quick google search of African American plumbers. We called about 1pm that afternoon by 4pm Mr Burris was at our home. We have had a slow draining/clogged kitchen sink for over a month that my husband just could not get cleared. We called 2 other well known plumbing companies, they wanted to cut open our wall to clear the clog with a VERY expensive price tag.
Mr Burris was able to unclog the sink quickly and was able to tell my husband how to prevent this from happening again.
Timely service at a great price  from a man who is obviously very well skilled at what he does. Thank you Mr Burris we appreciate you.

I had an outstanding experience with Jerry's Pump Service today when they installed my new sump pump. They were the very best that they could be about everything. Punctual, friendly, experts at what they do. You name it. I'll definitely be using them again when I need any plumbing done, and I highly recommend them to one and all.

Martin was phenomenal!! He was very patient with the whole process. My boyfriend got the wrong wall mount unit, and Martin waited for him to run next door to get the right wall mount. He was very quick with the installation and once we got the right unit the tv was up within 30 mins. He then spent about 15 minutes making sure everything is nice and neat. He bounded all the cables together with electrical tape and wiped down the area after he was done. Absolutely a great experience!! Highly recommended!!

We made an appointment with Fixer during a weekday, for which my wife stayed home from work. 15 minutes after the time they were scheduled to arrive, we received a text saying that they wouldn't be able to keep the appointment, asking us to reschedule and offering a $50 discount. My wife makes well over $50 a day!! This bad news was sent via text and after I responded and prompted a reply, we heard no more from them.

The $50 discount would've been easily absorbed by the Fixer's exorbitant fees. I'm leery of a home repair company that can't even honor their own appointment schedule. I understand that things happen, but at least take full responsibility and go above and beyond to remedy your mistake.

Sent out a request for a plumber to fix an exterior hose connection and by noon the next day Emergency Plumbing had fixed the issue. They were very easy to communicate with and gave a quote through Yelp (rather than making you pay a $50 service call to give an estimate like most other plumbers). The fix was quick and easy and payment was a breeze as well. I would recommend this business and use them again if necessary (but hopefully not necessary!)

We had a horrid sulfuric smell emanating from our basement and making the entire house smell like an exploded port-o-potty. A problem with our sewer drains and grease traps were the culprits. This was a reoccurring problem in the house, but this was the most severe case. Frustratingly enough, we'd recently had another company come out just a few weeks before to (expensively) address the issue permanently. Clearly, it didn't work. When ACE responded to my call, Rich had a thorough conversation to help understand the problem and history. When ACE came, they were friendly and on time. After the assessment, Rich explained the previous company addressed only one of the FIVE drains in our basements. The last company didn't even note/check the other drains. Rich could not have been more patient walking me through our problem, the sources, his remediation plans and recommendations for future maintenance. Pricing was clear and competitive before the team started any work. It has been months and I'm so glad ACE's fix was truly a permanent solution!
Lastly, I had another plumbing issue (much simpler), and Rich was so kind to give me a diy solution that worked like a charm--his rationale: I don't want charge you for something that could possibly be an easy fix. He even offered to be on the phone and walk me through the solution if I needed help. These guys will be my go-to moving forward.

During the Spring of 2017 my basement flooded at least w inches of water during heavy rains in chucago.  I had the lines Roddenberry 3 different  times thinking each time this will work.  Nope.  I purchased submersible sump pumps to send the water wherever it's supposed to go.  Finally, Spring 2019 was the food that broke the camels back.  I called United Sewer & Drain.  These guys came out with cameras and showed me the water pipe from the city to my property was broken on my side of the sidewalk.  United took out the old pipes, installed new pipes and Voila, no more flooding until the next heavy rain.  I called them back, they returned and discovered the pipe goongbto the drain at the back of the house between the basement back door and steps was broken.  How does that happen?  They dug up the concrete, installed bew pipe, concrete the area, made the drain a little larger than the ol one and I am now a happy camper.  Call these guys if you are having flooding problems.  Oh, by the way - before calling United I called the City, no help at all.

I had to have our kitchen sinks unplugged and was in somewhat of  a time crunch.  I called several plumbers and wasn't happy with the answers I got in terms of time available and costs.  When I contacted Excel, they were very responsive to my needs and quoted what I felt was a fair cost as compared to some others.  I also asked if they had either military, or senior discounts and they did.  The best part was that they were at my home in less than an hour and Yuri, their plumber worked quickly to unclog the drain.

Should I need a plumber again, they'll be the first one I call.

Would never trust or use anyone else. Friendly, professional and honest. You can't get any better than that. Called when my hot water heater broke. In less than 24 hrs I had a new one. The service man (can't remember name sorry) was professional , knowledgeable , friendly & trustworthy. Came out in a heck of a snow storm & on time wow! In one hour he had remove & replaced my water heater he sure knew his stuff! Have used them for a few years now and will continue to do so.  Thanks for the great service TP!

What is better than having your expectations beaten?  Having very high expectations constantly met.  Living in an older home, plumbing issues are bound to happen. I'm glad when they do, I know that Tim and his guys will be there to handle it.  Very knowledgeable and professional.  Pricing is transparent and fair.  Just a no nonsense quality contractor.

We called Body plumbing to repair one of our leaking backflow valves. He gave us good price on the repair and he even came twice to work on it after the first attempt did not come out right at no extra charge. His pricing however on testing was good but we found better so we will use another company for yearly testing. We will definitively call him again to get pricing in the future though.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

Called around 9:00pm on a weeknight to ask about a clogged kitchen sink / dishwasher drain. Tried to work out a time the following day to come by but schedules didn't align, so I said I appreciated the offer but would have to try to find someone that could come by in the morning. A short while later, John called back and offered to come right away. Was at my place within a few minutes. John assessed the problem, fixed it, and was out the door within 10-15 minutes.

Original quote over the phone was higher than I expected, but final price was quite a bit lower because John didn't want to under-quote without seeing the problem (which I appreciate).

Highly recommend. Will be leaving the business card he left me with the doorman at my building in case anyone else has any issues.

Had them install a gas line for an outdoor grill. Received multiple quotes and they were much more reasonable. They showed up on time and made fast work of the project.  I liked that they discussed different options before starting to make sure we were on the same page.  Will be using again.

Daniel was great!! Very educated, professional, friendly, and took the time to explain all of the important details. A pipe froze in our basement and Daniel was over within 2 hours on a Sunday.  He even went over the steps of how to troubleshoot the problem on our own over the phone before he arrived. We live on the 4th floor of a 40 year old condo building.  The building often has water pressure problems (particularly after a condo-wide water shut-off for servicing).  Some years ago, Jay and his father from Pressure Pro came out and fixed the water pressure problem we were having.  We recently started having another water pressure problem and the hot water was down to a trickle.  Our Condo Management tried to send out another service company, but they would not come out on a weekend.  We remembered Pressure Pro and insisted that our Management Company use them.  Jay came out and had strong water pressure back in no time.  While he was here, he took the time to explain how to help prevent future pressure problems, and also made some recommendations for fixing some other unrelated issues.  Jay and Pressure Pro are one of those rare Chicago area services that are honest, friendly and reliable.  We cannot say enough good things about Pressure Pro.

I have spoken to Attorney General's office on the phone to give an update on this case.
I was informed that The letters and wrongful accusations from J Blanton plumbing company to me and letters from attorney general's office to me is confidential and cannot be posted on yelp. It is legal to give an update in regarding to the matter. It is encouraged to report to attorney general's office for business like this, the more they know, they more they can be aware and take actions to protect consumers, they said. I am thankful that they are there for us consumers. The office of attorney generals did speak to me with care. Even that they cannot force the business to refund. But they have stated that they want to know and it is encouraged to post the link to let people know how to file complaint. In my case, I encouraged the business, J Blanton to refund me the $300 or give the money to a local charity, off set their bad karma, but they did not refund either way and lied more about the situation. I opt not to go to small business court due to the time investment. The most effective way to help you to make this right and to help others is to use the link below, file complaint regardless of the time of occurrence. I hope J Blanton will do the right thing moving forward by not taking advantage of the elderly, and people who are alone.
