Jessie is the best plumber period. He's honest, stands behind his work and very competitive.

Badger Plumbing did, as they always do, a great job fixing a problem with our kitchen sink and waste pipe to the crawl. We've had the problem off-and-on for years, so they offered several options for a permanent fix. Both options sounded very reasonable and the estimate was also reasonable for the amount of work that would be done. I highly recommend them. We've been using them for years.

My family, friends and I have hired Don to help with all sorts of different tasks: plumbing, clean up, door lock repairs, he even hung a large picture on the hall above my stairs, which was really tricky to get at. He does it all! Very responsive, reasonable rates and Don is just a pleasure to work with.

I reached out to Petersen with a request to re-hang a door that had blown off of the hinges leading to my garage door. Jason Petersen was fantastic from the first call: I sent him pictures of the issues, we talked a bit over text as well as on the phone, and he was able to squeeze me into his schedule truly saving the day. Upon seeing the actual door and frame, he was able to explain why the original builder set up the door the way he did. He put in new hinges and sunk much stronger screws. His price was very fair and he cleaned up after himself. I am super pleased with the outcome and will be calling Jason again for future projects.

I had to write another review about Marhofke Plumbing because honestly Scott has bailed me out quite a few times. This last go around was because my 5 year old kitchen faucet was just coming unglued. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was because it had been installed improperly. After Scott replaced it, not only did it work well but the ease of how it worked was unbelievable. I had struggled with it all those years and didn't know. Scott of course gave the previous plumber the benefit of the doubt but there was no doubt in my mind. One knows what he's doing and many others do not.
So if you are in his Bartlett, Streamwood, Hanover Park area don't even look for anyone else.
This is the tradesman you want.

The company service was excellent. Showed up as promised and Gerald was great. He is a good, honest employee. The price was better then fair. I will use them whenever i need them going forward. Thank You Zoom

Most people aren't aware that some of us still have grease traps in the basement, i had one! It exploded and distributed stinking grease all over my laundry room, foul odor! Called the first plumber (won't mention by name), who gave me a time but they were a no show! Started the search over and First Chance popped up, young man answered the phone, gave me the same day time appointment and he showed up! Thank God! He gave me an estimate, which I felt was reasonable, Daniel and Bob completed the work, which looks good and works perfectly! Highly recommend First Chance plumbers!

Usually, I dont do reviews, but I have to post and rave about Eugene.
1. Responsive time was within 10 minutes
2. He quoted me a price for one of my showers that wasn't draining, and I asked for a $20 discount, which he agreed(price is super reasonable)
3. He said he would arrive between 6.30pm and 7.00pm( He arrived at 6.45pm).. Punctual
4. Fixed the problem, then proceeded to check all the other bathrooms and sinks to make sure everything was draining properly for no extra charge.
5. Paid him the original price he quoted for a job well done; he sent a text 1 hour later saying I overpaid him by $20( discount) and would zelle it back( Honesty)
All these qualities are rare to find nowadays... I highly recommend him for all your plumbing work..My new go-to guy..Thank you Eugene..

Our basement sump pump was making a noise do to it's age so we had CCP come out and replace it. We are extremely happy with the work that was done. We can now sleep peacefully at night without the old pumps noise. Also their rates are reasonable. Very nice and respectful plumber. I highly recommend this plumbing company. I'll post some pictures my wife took.

I have never left such a bad review on Yelp, but my experience with Roto Rooters this weekend is worth me writing a very long complaint. TLDR: I had to change plans my entire weekend to be home, they didn't show up twice (for two FOUR HOUR windows), dispatch was rude, the plumber was even ruder.
I called on Thursday night because our water generator was making noise and I wanted someone to come look at it and see what was wrong. The person I talked to was fairly nice and said that it would be a free quote, and they told me they could come Friday between 5-9pm. I changed my plans so I could be home from 5-9pm. I called around 5pm and they put me on hold for ~15 mins before someone told me that the dispatch was busy and they would have to take my name. Nobody called me for an hour. I called them back at 6pm and after a shorter hold, I got to dispatch and they could not tell me more specifically what time someone was coming--and that probably nobody would be able to come tonight at all because they were on an excavation and they didn't know how long that would take. The dispatch kept repeating that they'd be on an excavation (without really explaining what that was, or why it was taking so long, or why they had scheduled me at this time in the first place if there was an excavation) and insisted that I should reschedule to tomorrow morning and I'd be a priority and they'd definitely come right on time.
I couldn't do Saturday morning so we agreed for 3PM on Saturday and he said he'd move me to priority so I wouldn't have to wait. Again, I changed my plans so I could be home by 3PM Saturday. 3PM came and went. I finally called around 3:30PM and a fairly rude dispatcher told me that they were running with severe delays and that I was scheduled from 3p-7p and that someone would come in that time frame. She dismissed me saying that yesterday the dispatch had told me I was 'priority. Around 5:30pm i got a courtesy call saying that they were running with severe delays. Around 7:30pm I got a call from a very apologetic and nice person at Roto Rooters who told me repeatedly that this I shouldn't have happened, etc. etc. and I tried to say it was okay and that I'd just schedule with someone else but he said someone would definitely come Sunday morning 8a-12p and that I'd get a discount. I reluctantly agreed.
Around 7:35am Sunday I got a call saying someone was on their way and would be there in half an hour. Someone finally showed up an hour later around 8:35am. The plumber came in and started looking at our garbage disposal. I said it was our water heater and showed him where it was. We had some cat food in the area where the water heater was stored and he pulled it out and put it on top of my cat's current food, knocking it over and making a huge mess. He looked at the mess and did not apologize or verbally acknowledge it. He looked at our water heater and said it needed to be flushed. He told me it would be $320 and it would take anywhere from 1-3 hours. I asked for the discount and he said he'd give me the senior discount for $40 off. I was hesitant to accept it because I didn't know anything about plumbing or price points, so I asked if I could get a quote and I could call back later to schedule if I decided to do it. He told me, fairly rudely, that he had just given me a quote and was I going to get it done now? I said I didn't have enough time to do it now. He just looked at me and then proceeded to walk out while calling out have a good day.
I was probably most upset by the behavior of the plumber because it was my understanding that there was a free quote. While I do understand that he'd come all this way to look at it, his attitude was SO rude. I've had other people come for pest problems, etc. and they'd come for a free quote and were all very nice about it and willing to give me a written quote so that I could decide later whether I wanted to go with their services. That, on top of the excessive delays that basically ruined my whole weekend, made my experience with Roto Rooters worthy of my first terrible Yelp review.

The guy is always bug eyed and had a white powder substance all over his nose.
His wife wasn't much help because she doesn't know how to spell or text.
Aggravating service. Not worth it. Find actual Professional people who are up to date with plumbing... He still thinks it's the late 70s.

Since my first review was removed by yelp, let's try again.
the positives: Kuhn has friendly staff who promptly responds to calls. Also, they begrudgingly gave us a small token refund after it took three trips to fix a sump pump issue which in the end cost us as much as a new one.
So heed my warning: if you are going to consider doing business with Kuhn, first, make sure to get competitive quotes. Their hourly rate is quite high. And second, do your due diligence when engaging their services by asking questions and not just taking what they say at face value.

No Call. No Show. No Response. Had a new kitchen sink and faucet installation scheduled for this morning at 8:00. Cristian and I spoke on the phone and via text, I sent photos at his request, and he gave me a price of $500 for the job. I reached out last night to confirm the installation this morning, but I received no response. I tried calling and texting this morning as well but received no answer and no response. It's now after 9:00... At least I didn't give these guys any money.

By far one of the worst of the lot!!
Communication should have been the first red flag.
I picked the place because of the proximity to my property. I figure I could use a trusty plumber since I had multiple properties in the area.
Bill gave me an appointment time and promised to call an hour in advance. Fail! Did not call and did not show up at advertised time.
When i called, he proceeds to make all types of excuse.
Finally sent someone out who showed up 3 hours after the fact.
The man quickly assessed the situation and said he would get the job done for a quoted price. I haggled with him for a cheaper price. He agreed to the price but did a cosmetically terrible job. Plumbers should take pride in the job they do. Not this service.
That didn't bother me as much. My problem is that the drain is still leaking. How can you proudly fix a drain as a plumber and the drain still leaks? At least glue the leak properly
Called Bill the next day to let him know that the job done was terrible and he made all types of excuses why. He says the drain needs rodding and there's grease everywhere. I wasn't told this when i was making payments. So why not offer that information when you fixed the drain in the first place? When I go to the mechanic to change my oil but my engine has a hole in it... he'll mention it to me.
Not with this service. Patched the problem and took the money and ran. Not even a receipt.
Do yourself a favor. Do not use this service.

This company isn't actually a local plumbing company and is just a shell. They're Beverly plumbing and asked me how to spell Damen Avenue. They told me they'd contact a tech and and get back to me about how fast someone could get out to me. Ten minutes later I called back and asked for an update and they had forgotten and asked me to call back in another two minutes

They advertise on Angie's List by offering $99.00 for 2 hours of plumbing labor, so I purchased this deal and this company never showed up. The first day they rescheduled, the second day they didn't show up at all. They also lied and said they were on their way. I took 2 days off work waiting for these people, they didn't have the decency to even call. I finally called and left a message for the owner himself (Terry Cox), he FINALLY called me back much later and suggested that I cancel the service call. What kind of business does this? I'm typically very fair when I judge businesses, but this is some of the worse customer disservice I've ever experienced. Strongly advise you to consider alternatives before you hire them.
