I'm a home owner and recently did a complete gut of bathroom plumbing in my home but unfortunately I didn't get it all quite right.  When the Village inspector came by he was very kind and gave me a specific list of things that needed to be reworked to bring the plumbing up to code.  At some point I decided I'd rather just hire a plumber who can do the work.  That's when I called Connell.

They arrived on time which I appreciated but that was the only place they scored positive points with me.  The two men who came out were boisterous, loud, rude and talked all over each other - which was very confusing to sort through to figure out what they were actually saying.  One of the men stepped into a brand new tub with his work boots... really?  You couldn't have pointed out the copper work from outside the tub?  But I digress.

What they did tell us was this - We're going to have to pull it all out and start over... well, half the water can stay but everything else is wrong.  When I asked specifically what was wrong with the PVC I was told that I used the wrong kind of PVC to which I replied, I thought Schedule 40 PVC was acceptable whereby they informed me that I had not used schedule 40 PVC.  The pipe has SCH 40 printed right on the side.

When I asked about the water I was told that all my water lines need to be 3/4 and I had used 1/2 in certain places.  The men from Connell informed me that while the 1/2 wouldn't affect performance that it was simple not up to code.  I challenged the men on their point as 1.) I had specifically asked the village inspector what size copper to use BEFORE I installed it and 2.) the inspector had already come by and had no quams with the diameter of my copper pipe.  After a pause one of the service men responded Well, it depends on the specific situation but when I pushed him to tell me which circumstances required the treatment he was prescribing he informed me that it  specifically pertained to the installation of a whirlpool tub.... which we don't have and could be clearly seen as our normal, standard tub is already in place.

Did we end up using their service?   No, we didn't so I can't speak to the quality of the work.  They wanted $6000 to do the work and of course that's before complications and scope creep which are inevitable with a project of this size.  FYI- we had another plumber give us a quote and he quoted us $1600 for the same work.

Final verdict - pass on these guys or at the very least get a second opinion.  I was appalled by the dishonesty displayed on our site visit.

We had a kitchen sink that was backing up and tried the standard plunging and Drano without success.  D & L answered the Yelp quote quickly and on a Sunday morning and on top of that came out within an hour without an emergency fee and took care of the problem.  This is not normal, and it's exceptional service.

Highly recommend Jason from Stephens plumbing. Our kitchen sink needed to be unclogged by using a power auger. We also needed a pipe replaced.  The price was very reasonable.

I had a pipe that was corroded and all the rust was leaking onto my washer. The pipes were old and it was leaking severely. I needed someone to take a look it quickly before it got worse. I went onto my neighborhood facebook group and everyone recommend orange line plumbing. I called the owner Augustin and he told me he was out of town but that he would find someone to help me while he was gone. The next day someone came out and fixed the problem immediately. Problem fixed quickly. I was super thankful.

Tom and his guy Mike are awesome! Same day service with great affordable prices. Came after hours without the expense. Even without the after hours where less expensive then the 'big' companies. Didn't walk away from crawling under my deck to get into the crawl space. I needed my main sewer line rodded out where the only clean out as I know was present and these guy did it without hesitation. Gave great suggestions to prevent tree roots from reoccurring. I've saved them in my contacts and plan on using them and telling friends/family about them for any future needs. If I could give 10 stars I would. You guys are welcome back for a brew anytime. Whiting Plumbing does quality work for a reasonable price!  They don't advertise too much so you must have been referred to them by family or friends.  Lane is knowledgeable and prompt!  We've used Whiting Plumbing to re-pipe our old house with new copper pipes, put in a new higher toilet, unclog and put a new wax ring on our upstairs toilet, and complete the plumbing when we installed a new tub!  He also installed a new wash tub and faucet in the basement and installed a new faucet in the kitchen!  I feel Lane is honest and reliable.  I would recommend Whiting Plumbing to anyone who needs a plumbing problem solved!

I had and issue with a shower and called another plumber that told me it would take days to get parts. I then called Heritage for a second opinion.  They showed up and had everything fixed in less than 20 min and at half the cost. Highly recommended!

Sump pump went out late Sunday night. Called office Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. Spoke with Janet who was pleasant and understanding Fit us in when the next plumber was available, Matt arrived at 11:45 a.m. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient worker. Submitted a request on Sunday and Jeff responded quickly scheduling for Monday. The price was quoted, and Jeff was on time. He got to work unclogging the sink and we discovered the clog was further down the line, and went to work cleaning it out from the basement. Jeff remained calm, professional, and got the clog removed, while also teaching g me a thing or two. Jeff even looked at something else, continued the education, and quoted me for another job. When it came time to pay the price charged was the agreed upon price even though he was here longer than either of us expected. I've had my eyes ripped out by plumbers in the past, but I now feel confident that I found a company that will charge a fair price for fair work.

This is the first time using this company and the service was great!!  Called in the  morning and Mr. Travis was here by early afternoon. He is professional and knowledgeable.  If you're in need of quality plumbing services at a fair price, he's your man.  Would definitely call again.

Alex and his assistant quickly fixed our problem (trees are gonna have roots, and they're going to work their way into your tiles).  They were early to arrive and very efficient.  Alex even offered some advice on an anticipated bathroom upgrade.  We've used Karl's plumbers since moving here in 1992 and have always been satisfied with their work.

I scheduled an appointment to get a service estimate 3 weeks ago.  I went significantly out of my way to be here this morning.  No one showed.  When I called 3 hours after the agreed time, I was told we sent you a text to confirm.

But here's the thing: I had a phone call, I spoke to Alex, I agreed on a time, I provided my address.  No one mentioned that they would need a text response and I did not agree to communications by text.  When you make an appointment orally, that should be enough.  If you need a text confirmation, say that you need one.

I get that lots of people prefer text communications, but you should not assume that you can require one AFTER YOU ACTUALLY SPEAK ABOUT IT.  Serious lack of professionalism.

Revised review:
1. Bill, the owner, called and offered to refund the $99 house call fee if I removed this review.

2. Paul, the technician who came to our house, did not have any obvious issues with his back and tried to pressure me to make a decision that afternoon.

3. Paul, the technician, did not tell me he could have a rheam water heater delivered that day, Sunday, and instead he focused on trying to commit me to a Bradford and White in Monday morning.

4. I would call DRF partners who works with home depot or some other reputable contractor, not Four Seasons.

My original review from November:
I had a broken water heater that happened on Saturday evening...

I called four seasons and they said they had two crews on Sunday and would send someone around noon..

I did not see a plumber until later in the afternoon, and when he arrived, he confirmed the water heater would not start, had water in the power vent, and needs to be replaced.

However they recommended a brand with very poor reviews, Bradford and white, and could not replace it until Monday.

I called home depot, hired their subcontractor DRF, and had a Rheem water heater installed that night... That plumber told me Bradford and white is not as good as Rheem but that many plumbers can make more money on these from the manufacturer..

Choose your plumber and water heater wisely..

We recently used J. Blanton for a disposal repair. We were told it can't be repaired, it had to be replaced. The price was incredibly high. I paid it because I didn't get a quote. My bad.

Got a quote at that time to replace two failing wall valves to a 1/4 turn valve for a toilets. I was told it would be more cost effective to do all the valves in the condo. One quote was around $800 for 2 valves or  $1970 for all remaining 9 valves.

We waited over a year to do the job because of the price. When we called back to ask if the quote was still good, they said no, that they needed another plumber to come out and look at it. So this young man showed up, he had such a bad attitude, asking us why he was there if we already had a quote, I immediately asked him to leave. He got the hint that he was being unprofessional and he straightened up real quick and offered to do the quote.

Same quote came back to us. I wasn't comfortable with the price or the guy with the bad attitude. We checked another plumber our building uses. Glad I did!

He just did the two failing valves for $275, FOR BOTH VALVES! Was super cool, in and out in under 40min. (Try Moody plumbing instead!)
