A good plumber...
I have used Wayne over the years. He does most of the work himself and handles the job from start to finish. We have had him replace faucets, rod sewers, re-pipe, and layout new bathrooms. The work is done right and the prices are fair. I would not hesitate to hire this company again. Good work at a fair price.

They are very responsive and professional. Definitely recommend! Friendly people that come out right away and go the extra mile.

I contacted D & L through yelp. Travis responded immediately and was willing to come on a Sunday evening. It was not an emergency as we still had access to another bathroom. Travis came on Monday and had to work very hard to clear our main line out. It was pretty bad and had to spend more time that he originally thought. All was good when he left and he even honored his original quote. Will definitely call again.

I have read a review that was negative about a clogged drain.
They paid 375 or something. And were unhappy about having to call someone else to finally fix it .

I had a family friend who spent 10 hours with two people trying to unclog from the house to the street.
We had a caregiver for an elderly person who didn't understand large wipes don't go in the toilet.

The first charge was like $1,000
And the rodded out 10-5 gallons of wipes.
.it was still running slow and they came back and spent another 10 hours for 2 people to keep rodding out the sewer until they went to the street and heard it was running freely.

You got of lightly.

If these family friends had not kept trying to get past the roots if the tree in the yard it would have required digging up the whole yard and relaying the whole sewer.

All I mean to say is you may have been disappointed by a less than $400 bill for rodding out a sewer but it can be a tough job.

Next subject. I have used Stephens Plumbing for over 30 years in Downers Grove.
Yes they are a premium plumbing company.
But, they has e always backed their work.
They lived in the neighborhood and their kids played all the sports etc.
If you were unhappy then you should have brought it up to the owner.

I like to have everything go smooth but the true judge I use for a service company is how they handle an unhappy costumer.

I have always been holy with them and ik is if you brought it up to Matt who was the owner when I dealt with them, he would have taken care of the problem.
I have never heard of a dissatisfied costumer that didn't get their problem resolved.

It is a fair and responsible company.
Give them a chance to resolve the problem.
Ask to speak to the own6, he is vert5 approachable.

Excellent experience with them when I had a leak under our sink. Tavis was friendly and knowledgeable, explained everything as he went along.

Tom and his guy Mike are awesome! Same day service with great affordable prices. Came after hours without the expense. Even without the after hours where less expensive then the 'big' companies. Didn't walk away from crawling under my deck to get into the crawl space. I needed my main sewer line rodded out where the only clean out as I know was present and these guy did it without hesitation. Gave great suggestions to prevent tree roots from reoccurring. I've saved them in my contacts and plan on using them and telling friends/family about them for any future needs. If I could give 10 stars I would. You guys are welcome back for a brew anytime. Lane will never know how grateful I am for his prompt and courteous service.  I was in such a bind, but he came over at 6:00 pm and shut off the water to my refrigerator.  I am forever in his debt.

The plumber I last used was very good, but he does not work on Saturday.  I did not want to wait until Monday because the drain I had a problem with was the laundry tub drain that my water softener and iron filter also use.  I already pulled the tub out and when my hand snake could not clear the drain I called Chalmers after I saw the very good reviews on Yelp.  He gave me an estimate for rooting the drain over the phone and I told him to do the job.  He came out within a few hours, cleared the drain and charged exactly what was quoted.  The 60 day free rooting service warranty for the same drain was a nice warranty they offer.  I would highly recommend Chalmers for 24 hour or any regular plumbing service.  I can tell you who not to call.  You have probably seen their yellow billboards all over advertising 24 hour plumbing service.  If you do not mind giving someone all your money call them.  You will probably end up paying the monthly rent for one of their billboards after you pay the bill!

I keep going through plumbers.  I think I found one I like.  They were easy to deal with, promp and reasonable.  They are family owned and service orientated.  They seem to believe in the customer and will work to keep your business.  I hope I can use them again and again.  I will surely call them again.  GREAT SERVICE.  THANK YOU.

Installed a new kitchen faucet, and Arrow did a solid job installing it. They completed the job within an hour and the price was very reasonable. They got here within the time range they initially scheduled, and called us when they were close. Highly recommend them!

Our ejector pump went out and John was able to be here within an hour. He provided excellent service and we couldn't be happier.

This is the first time using this company and the service was great!!  Called in the  morning and Mr. Travis was here by early afternoon. He is professional and knowledgeable.  If you're in need of quality plumbing services at a fair price, he's your man.  Would definitely call again.

Bought a washing machine as it was being installed the pipe broke, call karl and he was there within 30 minutes and within a hour everything was fixed  he is very professional and polite. Will definity us again

An excellent company who made sure everything was taken care of.  Vitali protected my home with drop clothes and cleaned up immaculately.  I had a new hot water heater installed.  No one want to have to do that, but he and Alex made it as painless as possible.

Bill, I'm happy to send you a photo of the contract, which states you will replace the floor tiles as a courtesy. If you don't want to do it as a courtesy, then you shouldn't say you will. As for the dirt & spring check, I'm also happy to send you screen shots of the calls & text messages Aaron sent to you, that you have ignored. We already paid someone else to take care of the dirt. Given the bad end we had in communications at the end of this project, with the floor, coupled with your ghosting again this spring, prompted me to write this. You can't cash a check, disappear & then be surprised when people are displeased with your service.

Discovered the problem moments before plumber (Justin or Jason?) arrived. Plastic tubing from my fridge ice maker sprung a leak just above floor boards before the tubing proceeded down to basement to connect to water valve.  Was immediately told entire valve needed replacement assuming he would not be able to unscrew the nut without even trying first.   Then was told cost to replace plastic tubing with copper tubing was $1,496 for the job.  When I said I can't afford $1500 copper tubing and asked if we couldn't just replace it with the same plastic tubing, he told me they don't carry plastic. (BTW 15 feet of copper tubing only costs $36 at the hardware store). He then proceeded to ask me how much I thought I should pay. Odd, right? When I said closer to $200, he laughed, turned around and walked out without so much as an explanation or a thank you for calling J Blanton.  I called my local hardware store and the helpful clerk explained how easy this was to fix.  I spent literally less than $5 on a coupling and fixed the leak in under 5 mins by myself with nothing but a pair of scissors.  Had the plumber explained this to me, I would be calling them in the future to replace my toilet that needs replacing, but I WILL NEVER CALL J.BLANTON AGAIN. No one wants to be taken advantage of and this plumber tried to pull a fast one.  What a rude jerk!
