The bots and text messages are a coverup for a lack of communication and customer service.

We made an appointment with Fixer during a weekday, for which my wife stayed home from work. 15 minutes after the time they were scheduled to arrive, we received a text saying that they wouldn't be able to keep the appointment, asking us to reschedule and offering a $50 discount. My wife makes well over $50 a day!! This bad news was sent via text and after I responded and prompted a reply, we heard no more from them.

The $50 discount would've been easily absorbed by the Fixer's exorbitant fees. I'm leery of a home repair company that can't even honor their own appointment schedule. I understand that things happen, but at least take full responsibility and go above and beyond to remedy your mistake.

Steve is the electrical contractor you are looking for! Quick response time, friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up. No surprises with pricing, what he quoted was what we paid. Will definitely use him for all future project's!

Greg and Steve of Duplex Electric are great! I found a recommendation for them on next-door.com, and have since had them out to fix a few different issues. Both times I've called they have responded within hours to my voicemail messages and have come out that day or the next day. They first came out to replace a basement ceiling light. Through this they discovered that the switch was improperly wired. They explained clearly what the issue was, and fixed the switch and replaced the fixture quickly. The second time they came out to install two ceiling fixtures and to replace our kitchen outlets with GFCI outlets. Both times they explained to me clearly what the issues were, worked with safety precautions, arrived on time, and charged a reasonable amount. They are super professional, very knowledgeable, and on top of that were friendly with my crazy dogs - I will for sure call them the next time we need anything electrical fixed. I called and spoke with a man who was not able to come to my home to view the project and provide a quote because he didn't have the time to do so, he wanted me to send photos and/or video to him. Other than that he was polite and offered some suggestions over the phone.

We had a great experience with OneStop. From call to service completion was 3 days for a non-emergency water heater replacement. They were profesional land gave us great tips. We really appreciated their work!

Due to the COVID pandemic, our GC decided he would not be back to finish installing the electrical outlets and make the wire connections until things settled down. After 3 weeks of not hearing back and needing our kitchen wired so we can finally cook again, we decided to give Jeff a try.

He made an appointment to come out in two days and get everything straightened out for us. We were super nervous there would be issues, but within 1.5 hours, success! He wired it all and showed us it worked. So now we can FINALLY connect our appliances and install our cabinets and cook once again.

If I could give David Wilczak of Next Level Contracting 6 stars, I would.  I'm a real estate investor in the Chicago market, but I live in NY.  Because I'm rarely onsite I needed someone I could trust from afar to get my jobs done properly and on time.  I've been burned by contractors before.  David exceeded all my expectations and went above and beyond what was required.  In the past 2 years he has rehabbed several properties for me from top to bottom.  He has an innate sense of how to approach a vintage restoration to preserve period features.  He pays strict attention to detail and has strong communication skills.  I trust him to keep the keys and come and go as needed.  He is an electrician by trade, but he's highly skilled in all aspects of home renovation and repair.

Had a great experience with Randal Electric. I'm selling my condos in Chicago and some very minor electrical work popped up on the home inspection report. I called a few different electricians on Yelp in the area and a lot hung up on me because my request was too small for them to set an appointment. I communicated with Randy what I needed to be done and he was confident that it would be a quick and easy fix, plus he'd be able to put me down for an appointment the next morning. Eddie was my electrician who was right on time this morning. He was polite and professional and after he was finished with the breaker he even asked if he could review the home inspection report to make sure everything needing an electricians attention was covered. I appreciate honest businesses in home services. While searching for electricians I ran across CR Electric and they tried to upsell me on an entire new panel a 4-6 hour job that would have been unnecessary and over the top. Eddie was able to make the breaker safe and eliminate the double tap breaker installed by a 10+ year old alarm system company that I never used in 7 years of owning the property. I'm glad I called Randal Electric and if I need electricians for the next 4 condos about to go on the market I know who I'll be calling!

We had a potentially large electric problem with some lines from our house to our garage.  They were old, frayed and hanging low.  It was easy to set up getting a quote from Edwin though the Yelp site.  He responded very quickly and arrived on time at the appointed time.  He diagnosed the problem and provided a quote via email.  I accepted his proposal and he let me know when he was available to come and do the work.

He arrived on time, on the scheduled day.  It was a big job which included taking down the old wiring and, digging a trench and sending all new wiring out to the detached garage.  Since the home and garage are both over 100 years old, diagnosing our wiring is like a million piece jigsaw puzzle. Edwin did a great job and everything works great!  He even did a great job to not disturb the landscaping.  You can't even tell that there was a trench dug.

Homer is a fabulous electrician.  It is obvious that he knows what he is doing and is very responsive when contacting him.  He does his work quickly and stands behind it.  He is also very punctual.  He has done work for us twice and I highly recommend.

I waited until I had a nice little list of stuff and called Handico (who about three years ago did a great job painting our building's balconies.) My list had plumbing, tiling, carpentry: a real variety. The guy they sent, Tom, was amazing. He did everything and was extremely nice. I can't praise what he did enough.

Corey and his team installed an overhead light in my bedroom and did wonderfully. He provided me with a honest quote and came to provide the service promptly. I will definitely call Perfected Electric for future needs!

This company ran a credit check without my permission. Can you imagine, I have an inquiry on my credit report because I had a small light fixture installed. Also, two years later, I am getting calls from Diamond Home asking if I have any remodeling needs. I recommend finding an electrician  with better  business ethics.

Called them on Thursday and they were able to show up the following day to change out my outlets. Cheap prices, priceless work. Clean and efficient. Great service and would definitely recommend Gomez Electrical.
