Best Electricians in Illinois

I've used fixer about 10 times in the last year and each time was a very pleasant experience.  They even did a partial remodel of two bathrooms for me with new paint, vanity, mirror and light and I paid much less than a general contractor would have charged.  Very easy to book and responsive.

Steve is the electrical contractor you are looking for! Quick response time, friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up. No surprises with pricing, what he quoted was what we paid. Will definitely use him for all future project's!

These two electricians are the very best.  I would highly recommend them.  My outside lights were all out and they fixed them quickly and efficiently.  They are prompt, neat and fairly priced.  I would trust them with any of my electrical needs.

We have been researching for a reputable electrician and somehow stumbled upon Art's review in Facebook and then Google. We told ourselves, he must be really good with all the positive review he's got on both site.
All the reviews were accurate.  He came out very professional and yet friendly. He offered very competitive price so we decided to hire him for our project.  
We cannot be thankful enough for the job well done, definitely exceeded our expectations.  We didn't even know he was there as he cleaned up before he left. Will definitely hire him again for our next project.

As part of the sale of my home, I needed to get an electrician in to fix my attic fan. Donatello made arrangements to come in quickly and take care of the job.  I had used them before and was very satisfied with their work that time as well. Good company to work with.

Purchased a new house and had a few electrical items to address.  Found Prolite Electric on Yelp and felt good about their reviews.  After leaving a message, Jack called me back that day.  Went over his pricing and I felt he was very reasonable so I made an appointment.   He sent his technician Matt over to fix the items and I was very pleased with Matt's service.  He was on time and very professional.  I'm looking forward to using them in the future.

Update 1/3/2017.  Again Matt does another great job.  Had a laundry list of items to get done and  Matt's work was perfect.  Jack is very affordable and this will always be the company that does my electrical work.

Tried to repair Puron leak after problem the year before.  No charge due to the hassles prior.  Not many companies would do this for a customer.  Still leaking but at least they tried to repair and did work for no charge.

Needed about five overhead lights replaced, some with bad wiring and others with very old fixtures. Jeff came out to our home, resolved some of my 'creative workarounds', offered suggestions, spotted some bad wiring, addressed said problem, and gave me an estimate for other wish list work.

Overall, Jeff was very easy to work with and I'd have no problem recommending him for this type of work.

We had Safe Electrical Service out to do some upgrades recently.  We were very pleased with the service we received. We wanted several things done but were unsure about which to do first. Charles broke down the work into three proposals which made it easier for us to decide, based on our budget and needs. He also helped identify some safety issues with the current wiring and load panel, which we had him correct.  His crew are all very professional and highly skilled. They did an amazing job installing recessed LED ceiling lights as well as extra outlets, dimmers, the circuit breaker panel, and even helped troubleshoot an issue we had with our rec room wiring. Safe Electrical Service is our go-to electrician from here on out! Thank you Charles!!!

I am so glad that I found David on YELP. I read the reviews and contacted him through an e mail on his website. He replied immediately and I set up a date for him to come and give an estimate. He was on time and not only gave a very reasonable estimate but was able to stay and do the job. He spent over 3 hours at our house and we love the results. I highly recommend David and will not hesitate to call him back or recommend him to others.
I am writing this 6 months after the above review to again recommend David for his professionalism and reasonable prices.

What a pleasure to meet such a consummate professional. We reached out to Matt late one evening for an emergency call to address a possible short in a wall switch. We were fortunate in that he had an appointment cancellation for the next day and he arrived right in time.
I have never seen any tradesman as competent, thorough, and meticulous as Matt in their work. He checked out all connections in the panel and a suspect wall socket.
He spent two hours including a trip to purchase some parts and the cost was extremely reasonable to boot!
I am very impressed by Matt and I am confident that you will be as well. He is busy so call in advance to schedule your job.

Very professional and knowledgeable tech.    After getting a couple quotes from different companies I decided to change the electric panel and  install the ev charger with Electric Castle . Mike and Bogdan explained the process and the steps they have to do in order to get the job done. Very careful around the house, clean and outstanding job overall

Had a great experience with Randal Electric. I'm selling my condos in Chicago and some very minor electrical work popped up on the home inspection report. I called a few different electricians on Yelp in the area and a lot hung up on me because my request was too small for them to set an appointment. I communicated with Randy what I needed to be done and he was confident that it would be a quick and easy fix, plus he'd be able to put me down for an appointment the next morning. Eddie was my electrician who was right on time this morning. He was polite and professional and after he was finished with the breaker he even asked if he could review the home inspection report to make sure everything needing an electricians attention was covered. I appreciate honest businesses in home services. While searching for electricians I ran across CR Electric and they tried to upsell me on an entire new panel a 4-6 hour job that would have been unnecessary and over the top. Eddie was able to make the breaker safe and eliminate the double tap breaker installed by a 10+ year old alarm system company that I never used in 7 years of owning the property. I'm glad I called Randal Electric and if I need electricians for the next 4 condos about to go on the market I know who I'll be calling!

Installed a new outlet for a wall mounted tv. Did a great job and was quick. Great price and great service.

Showed up on time, was knowledgable and friendly. Did a fairly long investigation of my electrical problem before suggesting a cost-effective solution. We are in the process of identifying several small problems and I'm confident that he is the right partner for that. SW

We hired Handico to help us with our kitchen renovation (just completed in May 2021) for the demolition part. (The company we bought cabinets and countertops from only does installs).  This our third time working with Handico for different household repairs/projects.  The previous two times turned out great, so we had no hesitation calling them for this job.
Working with Joe to set up the dates and the work to be done was easy... all over the phone, with some images shared via email.  Since Handico works on a time-and-material basis (ie hourly rate), it really makes arranging the work so much easier (in my opinion, anyway).
We needed the following done: (1) Take down and remove all existing cabinets and counter tops, (2) remove the soffit that the upper cabinets were anchored to, (3) patch-up where the soffit used to be, and other areas as needed, (4) relocate electrical outlets for the range and Microwave hood, (5) hook up new plumbing to the new sink.  Joe was very keen to our needs; he even sent one of his guys over to check the soffit as an advance scout to eliminate any surprises and secrets the soffit may be hiding (it turned out to be empty).  Joe also requested the drawings and spec sheet of our new kitchen provided by the cabinet company to ensure that the area is properly prepped.  He definitely knew what needed to be done.
The work:  Joe sent Luis to tackle the job.  While a 2nd guy came aboard to help with the demo, Luis was clearly the guy in charge.  Luis was very professional and he knows his trade very very well.  I'll try to attach some pictures to show what was done.  Whenever possible, Luis would ask what needed to be asked.  When necessary, Luis would pull me aside and explain what he needed to do.  And when I wasn't catching on, Luis was also very patient with me.  I did my best to stay out of his way.
In the end, Luis and Handico left the site how it needed to be.  The day after, our Cabinets were installed uneventfully.  Not a single complaint from the installers.  The upper cabinets were mounted where the soffit used to be.  Base cabinets were put in.  All cabinets were cut out for new plumbing and outlets; perfectly placed by Luis the day before.  Aside from the fact that we discovered my walls aren't square (typical for a home built in 1949), the whole project went without a hitch.  Luis did come back to finish the plumbing after the sink and countertops were put in.  Handico delievered!
This was definitely a big job.  While I can't say it was stress-free (hey, it's still a kitchen reno), I couldn't be any happier on the end result.   And without Handico, it wouldn't have turned out the way it did.  We will hire them again in the future.
Oh yeah, the Cabinet people were great, too... but that's for a different review.

When we needed to have electrical work done on our home, it was easy to decide to contact A to Z since we have used them successfully in the past. We provided a list of necessary work and we reviewed it with A to Z. They went over the list with us when they completed the job. The charge was fair. Workers came on time and did the work in a professional and timely manner. They advised us that repairing something we thought necessary wasn't necessary at all.
I would definitely recommend working with this company. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional. They were available after the job to address any concerns.
One of the projects A to Z Electric completed was what I called an electric spider web in our basement utility room. As you can see by the photos, A to Z Electric was successful at repairing this.
