Fixer came told us the water needed to be turned off. Led him to where the shut off was located. He then informed me he was not allowed to assist in shutting the water off. So, we couldn't shut water off. Charged $130 for nothing!! Next day maintenance man turned water off, I did the job myself in 5mins!!

Steve is the electrical contractor you are looking for! Quick response time, friendly, knowledgeable and cleaned up. No surprises with pricing, what he quoted was what we paid. Will definitely use him for all future project's!

I found Steve and Greg through a Moms of Western Springs FB group. We had a switch go out and there was an arc of electricity so I was concerned about fixing it as soon as possible. I called Monday night and they got out Tuesday morning and fixed the problem. Their response was remarkably fast and the quality of their work was exceptional. Thanks Steve and Greg!

We have been researching for a reputable electrician and somehow stumbled upon Art's review in Facebook and then Google. We told ourselves, he must be really good with all the positive review he's got on both site.
All the reviews were accurate.  He came out very professional and yet friendly. He offered very competitive price so we decided to hire him for our project.  
We cannot be thankful enough for the job well done, definitely exceeded our expectations.  We didn't even know he was there as he cleaned up before he left. Will definitely hire him again for our next project.

I contacted Donatello Electric to handle a large electrical repair that I needed done immediately.  Don answered on the first ring and explained that he is very busy right now and does not have time to take on the job. However, he gave me the number for another electrician (competitor!) and told me I can contact him back if that electrician is too busy. Well, the other electrician was too busy! So, I texted Don and he gave me yet another referral to a competitor. This referral ended up working out and he was able to do the job. I was just so impressed with DOn's responsiveness and his willing to help me solve an issue even though he would not be getting the business. He is a true professional!

Prolite Electric has been great to work with. Very fast and thorough communication from Jack. I love when appointments are confirmed!  Matt arrived right on time and was a pleasure to work with. I had a list of minor electrical fixes around our house. He took care of everything and made recommendations for anything that could not be fixed the day of.  Pricing matched the quote that I was provided. I would highly recommend the Prolite Electric team!

To be fair, I had a very stupid issue that I called them up for, so if you're looking for feedback on a bigger plumbing project, you can skip to another review.

There are a few reasons why I'm giving them a good review.  Initially, there was a problem with the scheduling getting someone out to my place.  They didn't let me know they wouldn't be able to show up until about 20 minutes before the scheduled time (10 a.m.).  This was for an appointment I intentionally scheduled far enough in advance to avoid a) getting ripped off on a short notice appointment and b) having it get cancelled.  If I had been at work, I would've been on my way home by the time I got the call with the cancellation (fortunately, I wasn't, I had the day off).  I did call them though after I got the message and explained what just happened, and they got someone out to my place by about 1:15 p.m.  So kudos for making it right.

My issue was a really dumb one (cringeworthy).  They didn't charge me anything for it, though.  Because they made it right, that's why I'm giving them the five star review.  Also they were very honest, and that counts for an awful lot when dealing with any kind of technician.

I would definitely call them again in the future.

I left a voice message after hours. Jeff called me with a quick reply. I explained my electrical issues. Luckily he was able to address them on Saturday as he was available. He was on time, found and fixed my problem the same day. My husband said he was a great guy! I definitely would use Jeff again.

YES, I would call them again. A human answered the phone  on a holiday. Tech was here the next morning. Quality diagnosis & service, quick response, personable, dog friendly, reasonably priced.

If I could give David Wilczak of Next Level Contracting 6 stars, I would.  I'm a real estate investor in the Chicago market, but I live in NY.  Because I'm rarely onsite I needed someone I could trust from afar to get my jobs done properly and on time.  I've been burned by contractors before.  David exceeded all my expectations and went above and beyond what was required.  In the past 2 years he has rehabbed several properties for me from top to bottom.  He has an innate sense of how to approach a vintage restoration to preserve period features.  He pays strict attention to detail and has strong communication skills.  I trust him to keep the keys and come and go as needed.  He is an electrician by trade, but he's highly skilled in all aspects of home renovation and repair.

Matt showed up early on our appt day and completed the project as agreed.  Everything was professional, clean and tidy.  The whole process was painless. The cost was fair compare to other quotes I received (not the cheapest or the most expensive). I will ask for his help for our future electrical projects.

Very professional and knowledgeable tech.    After getting a couple quotes from different companies I decided to change the electric panel and  install the ev charger with Electric Castle . Mike and Bogdan explained the process and the steps they have to do in order to get the job done. Very careful around the house, clean and outstanding job overall

Owner of the company is honest.  Did all work as expected.  His workers were puntual and professional.  Calls were returned, problems addressed quickly.  Solid contractor.

They were fantastic from start to finish. Professional demeanor, communicated with us very well throughout. They initially quoted us on the job based on my explanation and a picture but then we soon realized after they got to the job this would not work because of a brick pillar that would have been very difficult to fish wire through. They assessed the situation and gave me different options and were very fair on the price.  Cleaned up afterwards and were willing to answer all of my questions.  Thanks again to Edwin and Brian. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Where shall one begin? This was the question that plagued myself when searching for an electrician and now has beset once more. In the latter case it is about how to describe the immense work ethic, professionalism and unfathomable attention to detail that these electricians possess. As a matter of course one should assume to be nervous while having others check and repair a utility that has the potential for catastrophic consequences if done incorrectly, but in this case, that anxiety was relieved as soon as I witnessed the replacing of a single electrical receptacle (outlet), deservedly so since about 20 more needed replacement and/or repair. The attention to detail and most importantly, safety that was undertaken when doing the work, was carried out so eloquently, so refined, so meticulous, yet at such an impressive speed was truly a conglomerate of qualities that no other contractor or tradesmen could possibly hold, at least not in my experiences (especially having worked in trades). This was the real deal and so very comforting due to the age and condition of the amateur endeavored wiring practices in my home from previous residents that could only be described as a patchwork of old and barely useable to ancient and likened to a powder keg with a lit match on the rim. Electrical work is absolutely not my first 'rodeo', I do know quite a bit and the parts that I didn't, were refined by being privy the sheer and unadulterated professional installations by these guys, as well being shown technique to improve my own electrical work. In essence, I know what faulty, shoddy work is, and the work done, namely by Erik, and Homer, is the opposite. For lack of better terms the work was; top notch, dead on, perfect in every possible way! The only thing that was better were the rates for the volume of work (whole-home and garage device replacements). I can sleep at night knowing that my building will not perish in flame, nor myself in my sleep due to the absolutely top quality work done by these men (especially Erik). I am still astounded that I actually found honest contractors who stuck to quote, were really reasonable in cost, and best of all did the work with integrity and pride and even arrived before they were due, very likeable and courteous as well. No shortcuts, no trickery, just quality and solutions. If you are in need of an electrician, there is absolutely no other choice. You will absolutely not find better. I worked in trades and I couldn't, until now.

Tom from HandiCo took care of a potpourri of small jobs for me. He was great and even called to let me know he'd be a few minutes late because of a delay at the previous job. All the items look good and seem to work well.

I reviewed Perfected Electric Services over a year ago. I called on them again a few weeks ago in August. Still a 5 star good value operation. Having some remodeling done in the bathroom so I got an estimate from the electrician recommended by the company doing most of the bathroom work. Perfected Electric Service installed our lighted mirror, bathroom fan and updated other lighting as we requested for nearly half the  price quoted by the electrician they recommended. Difficult install for the fan but once again creative problem solving by PES got it done without having to open up the ceiling.

I would not use A to Z Electric again.  

They broke the lens on the porch light I had them install.  They had agreed to install a timer on that light.  Upon installation they claimed they didn't have on in their truck.  

They also installed a ceiling fan and came up with additional excuses why they couldn't install a similar wall switch to the other ceiling fans we have in our house.

A to Z also moved our kitchen light.  They drilled a hole in our ceiling without confirming whether we were o.k. with the position.  I was sitting in the next room while they were working.  They then lost the screws to our fixture.  

The work was o.k. besides the fact that they didn't do exactly what they agreed to do in the quote.  With so many other contractors out there it's not worth dealing with someone who doesn't take pride in their work.

Angel, did a great job.. Was polite, explain work and pricing.. I will definitely use his sevices again...

If I could give zero stars I would! What a total joke! They were responsive as in they came out. But, didn't say what they quoted as far as how long it would take.
One guy came out and he couldn't bring in dishwasher by himself (no dolly?) so he called another guy to come help. So he left until the other guy got there. Then the other guy did all the work, installed dishwasher and replaced the valve that broke under sink. All the while first guy,  only thing he did was change the arm on toilet flusher! Here's where the joke begins.... The guy who changed the toilet arm charged $139 per hour and the guy who did most work $89 per hour. First guy said he was there for  3.5 hrs and guy who did all the work was there for 1.5 hrs. So, yeah the first guy had to go to Home Depot for the part and that was included. I can tell you without a doubt it would not take 3.5 hrs to go to home depot and get the part then change it! I could do it in less time( this is my father in laws house , so I was there while guys were working). WE WILL NEVER EVER USE  AGAIN! The bill was unreasonable and after several emails, because nobody would call me ...I did get them to come down some on the bill. But, I  still feel like they took advantage of an old man with dementia! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE SCAMMERS.
