We were looking to install RING security cameras in the front and back of our property.  Stefan came out the day after I reached out to him to assess the situation. He worked with us and our busy schedule and spent the entire day making sure the job was done correctly and up to our standards.  Stefan was extremely professional and we are more than pleased with our new lights and the excellent service we got on this project.  I will be reaching out to Stefan with any electrical needs in the future.  Thank you, Stefan!

Sims and Sons was very flexible with their schedule. Enis showed up at the scheduled time and was able to fix my issue in 10-15 min. He also took time to explain the issue. If needed, will definitely use again.

Joe was awesome! On time, friendly and extremely efficient. He replaced 5 overhead chandeliers and installed 4 dimmer switches in 2.5 hours. We will call him again for sure and would highly recommend his services.

So I just purchased a new home and having some circuit breaker issues. Found Chris on Yelp very nice guy. Very responsive. Received great and prompt service from Edward and Julio to install a nest doorbell that needed extra work than the simple install on the packaging. Julio was very respectful of the end cosmetics and worked with us on very professionally the project. Bonus points for mask wearing!

I called Ryan in the early evening and within 3 hours he was at my apartment and installed an outlet.   He is knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with.

I would highly recommend this company for any electrical job.  While home renovations have a reputation for running over schedule and over budget, Highlights finished our job on time and on budget, keeping us apprised of every step.  Raul and his team were courteous, prompt and informative.  
Raul was very thorough and detail-oriented asking questions regularly to ensure that our expectations were met. He not only communicated well with us, but also with the other contractors working simultaneously on other aspects of our renovation.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

I don't think five stars are enough to rate them. A class organization from top to bottom. I'm so happy I used them to rid my home of some pesky knob and tube wiring. They really are craftsmen when it comes to the old homes that dominate the Oak Park and surrounding area landscape. Tom and his crew do such great work! Highly recommend them. They installed 4 outdoor outlets in our yard and also trenched wires underground so they were no longer exposed to the elements. Alex did a great job replacing a broken switch. He responded quickly to my initial request and was fast in communicating throughout the scheduling process. We are very happy with the quality of work.
We'll likely have to have most of our old wiring replaced and are looking forward to have Alex and his team back. Seems to be a newer company, and I'm glad we took a chance on them.

I had two little jobs that had been hanging around my neck for several months. Finally, with a 30 person event happening at my house that night, I submitted a work request with Fixer at 8:00 on a Monday morning. In a little more than an hour, Edgar arrived. He fixed my light fixture in minutes and the rubber gasket on a toilet in a little bit longer.

He arrived 15 minutes earlier than expected. Worked efficiently and was out of my door in close to an hour. Worth every dollar in my book.
