Showed up on time, worked hard and fast, charged me a fixed rate, and when a wrinkle emerged (turns out the job needed to run a new wire/breaker), Stefan called a colleague who lives nearby who joined him and got it done quickly and efficiently. He stayed masked throughout, and was unfailingly polite. Will most definitely work with them again!

Easy communication and scheduling, Anil provided excellent service. Very quick and efficient and gave options for solutions and was transparent about pricing differences.

I would definitely use T & D Electrical again. We are currently renovating our master bathroom. We had can lights installed as well as vanity lights and electrical outlets added and moved around to better suit our needs. Greg was easy to work with, on time, friendly and cleaned up so nicely! I can not say enough in praise! Ted and his son came on time and installed 4 fixtures and 3 dimers for me. He even redid a fixture I had tried to install - poorly. They cleaned up and took everything away...old fixtures, packing materials  - everything, you could not tell they had been there.  I am calling them back before the painters come and have them go to work on replacing all the switches and outlets! Call Ted NOW!

Joe was responsive, on time, fixed the problem quickly and for a fair price. Can't ask for more than that. When he left I was confident the job had been done correctly.

Totally recommend if you're in need of any electrical jobs. Edward was great about providing a fair and accurate estimate. Esteban was on time, very professional and did a great job in installing our new living room light fixture. Job required him to move and center a new box on our sloped/vaulted ceilings. Also appreciated the follow-up call to make sure we were satisfied. Couldn't be happier!!!

Had some electrical troubles in our new house we needed fixed and addressed. Ryan was out at my house within an hour of calling him. Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to not only do a thorough job but explain everything he did each step of the way. Was quite a long project as we couldn't locate the problem immediately, but after some troubleshooting and enjoyable conversation, he located the problem and solved it. I don't know anything about electrician pricing but was told from my family who knows a thing or two about the business that his pricing was great and extremely fair for the job he did the length of time it took. I needed a dedicated circuit installed to supply power to the heated floors that were being installed the following week. Highlights worked around my schedule to provide a free on-site inspection with quote. Highlights' price was less than half the price that I was quoted by another electrician I had used twice before. I'm very happy with the work performed, and the electrician was willing to answer some electrical questions that weren't even related to the job.

The only negative about this experience was that they didn't give me much of a heads up when scheduling my appointment. I received an email around midnight saying we'll be there between 12:00-2:00 pm tomorrow.

Overall, I highly recommend this business and I will definitely use them for my future electrical work.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Would highly recommend. These guys worked around our schedule to get an emergency job done and handle a couple other fixes around our house. Will definitely be calling Tweaks & Finishes again in the future!

Had an awesome experience with Jake. I got into some trouble trying to swap out a light fixture and created a bit of a wiring mess for myself that he was able to skillfully clean up. He was able to go pop out and buy a replacement light fixture that would fit my junction box and install that too. While he was at my house he added a plug to a closet that we had been wanting installed since we moved in. Super efficient work, very pleasant interactions, reasonable pricing- I will definitely be calling Jake up again for future work.

Worst service experience ever. I called this place today and just got a texy back saying in meeting can't talk....um ok. That's cool.

Texted him saying I needed help fast and that my lights in kitchen and that I read all his amazing reviews on Yelp.com and I was calling him first based on the reviews.

I heard nothing.....this was 2pm.

At 3pm, I asked if he was still in a meeting. Nothing.

I called Mr. Mighty Electric who was helpful and got here reasonably fast...and it's not that I needed someone super fast....a response would be nice.

Anyway, so I texted again at 5:30pm, saying hello? ...nothing until around 6pm where the dude is telling me he can't do a voice call but can just text me and help me troubleshoot. Um...no. If that was what I needed, I have Google and YouTube for that. I called because I needed someone to come here. I guess I was not worth it.

I used Kinetic for a variety of small projects at a building I used to own in Oak Park. Always did quality work. The electricians were always friendly and great about explaining what was wrong. Would always recommend them.
Kinetic installed a motion-sensor light on my garage. Less than a year after it failed. Called them. They check the records, called me back within an hour and had a guy out here by noon. He tested it and it was defective. Three hours later I had new light on my garage at no cost.

I recently hired this electrician to install a Ring doorbell in my home and I couldn't be happier with his work!
