Best Electricians in Illinois

Ok.  I was looking to help a family member with a complicated electrical problem.  Wasn't sure where to turn.  Found H.S.E. on Yelp.  The guy on the phone was helpful.  He told me the path I was currently taking was incorrect.  Saved me some time.  I was grateful for that lil' bit of info.

In my book, that's worth 3-stars.

Mike came this morning to install a new fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen. He did a great job working with the old wiring. He was polite, efficient, and cleaned up when he finished. This would be a five-star review except that I was told he'd arrive between 9 and 10 and he didn't arrive until closer to 11. Other than that--great job. I'd use this company again.

Goran arrived on time, identified and addressed the issue while on site, and had the best rates of anyone we found in our service area. Two thumbs up!

Norh was so wonderful to work with! He responded very quickly, gave us a clear estimate, talked us through each aspect, and then went above and beyond to complete our major project. Will definitely use again and highly recommend!

I hired Scott Nelson Electric (found by doing a web search) to install pendant lighting above a butler bar / island in my kitchen. There was no existing electrical there so, they needed to run electrical to existing switches and cut a hole for the electrical box.

I could not be happier with the work. Everything that was discussed while scheduling was what actually happened on site, nothing unexpected.

The cost was extremely reasonable, and the electricians that did the work were polite, knowledgeable, communicative, and had a sense of urgency about the project.  They even patched my ceiling, and well, too.

I would definitely hire Scott Nelson Electric again.

Mike Gordon of MPG Electric did an outstanding job replacing under cabinet lighting as well as hanging a fixture that I hesitated to buy due to review after review saying how hard it was for their person to hang. I liked the looks of it and decided to take the chance despite the reviews. He had absolutely no trouble because he really knows what he is doing. In addition, he generously offers his time to answer questions as well as help with purchasing. His patience is extraordinary.

Our previous electrician left us with dimmers that didn't work for years. Mike knew exactly what to use and they work fine for the first time since we lived in this home. He is honest and charges fairly. We intended to add a dimmer to our kitchen fixture but then we weren't sure if it was needed. He was fine with letting us check it out at night, where we could judge better, and get back to him. He offered to come back and not charge the initial first hour charge or return it depending on our decision. He really cares about his customers! We highly recommend him!

Honest. Good in Troubleshooting.

He corrected the ground and open neutral on multiple sockets. Then installed self grounded GFCI outlets on all.

I got the parts in advance, replaced some 10 outlets and added wall plates on my own. The remaining 20 outlets are rusted, and some even broke when i tried to remove it. So i hired the electrician.

I purchased plenty of outlets and confirmed that they are the right ones prior to appointment. The wall plates, i installed them myself once the electrician installed the sockets.

First, I am surprised there are not more reviews for this business as they are awesome. I've dealt with lots of contractors, and I am the go to phone call for my entire family and wife's family when there are problems or construction needs in the home. Penco is my first and only phone call for electricians, and I have dealt with lots before.

They are super courteous, on time, in communication, competitive on their pricing, and capable of all levels of work. I have had small issues from fixture installs, to the build out of my dad's basement, to fixing a wiring mess at a bar I managed.

I've referred Penco to many people all of whom have taken the time to thank me for the referral. They are making me look like a rockstar. I encourage you to give them a call for anything electrical. Paul the owner is the type of businessman that people need to know about.

I found this contractor through the Yelp app, and decided to use him. The prices I was quoted were very competitive, and the outcome was phenomenal. Working with Chris was a delightful experience. I found him to be very easy to work with because he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The site was left very clean upon completion, and the job was finished in a timely manner. I have even requested a second quote for this contractor to work on our next project.

Highly recommend this company. I had a faulty circuit breaker leave us without power to our coffee bar and bathroom. They were out early the next morning to fix it and also switched out a faulty GFI outlet. They knew what they were doing, were prompt and professional. I'm so glad my home warranty referred me to them. Will definitely call out again for any electrical problems I need fixed.

Sam came to my home to add a 220 line for a hot tub I had installed.  the work was impeccable and he took the time to explain things, did my special requests, and even came back to hook up the hot tub after they delivered it as part of my job. he is very reasonable and quick to respond.

I've used their services twice in the last 5 years.  They are friendly, give you a reasonable quote and time frame.  They do their work quickly and clean up after themselves. You couldn't deal with more professional people who also are just nice people.  I highly recommend them
