We hired Howard Simons to install a light fixture over a stairway, a couple of fans, and to convert some light cans to regular light boxes from which to hang fixtures.  We thought we needed to convert the cans to light boxes to allow us to insulate in the ceiling.  Howard gave us an estimate and then came out to do the work.  Long story short, he told us that we could accomplish the insulating without having to replace the cans, installed the light and fans, and also repaired three outdoor outlets and then charged us only 60% of his original estimate.  We would recommend him to anyone and will be sure to hire him again when we need electrical work done.  Thanks, Howard!!!

North Shore Electric is fantastic! I have had them out for two small projects in my older home, and the work they've done is perfect. Bill is a great electrician, very thorough, timely, and performs high-quality work. Well worth the expense (which is reasonable), and highly recommended.

Frank maintained a clear line of communication via phone calls and texts throughout the estimation and scheduling process. I found him to be polite, professional, and competent. I had him install a new outlet for an over the range microwave and had him swap out an old two prong outlet with a 3 prong. Great honest service from someone who is dedicated and hard working - not easy to find these days.

Incredible is the only word that comes to mind. The guys showed up on time with smiles on their faces (which can be pretty hard to do at 7:30 A.M.) I found myself in a slightly difficult situation I needed some work done but was on a bit of a time crunch, (I work crazy hours) but leave it to Scott and his team to move efficiently and get the job done when I needed it to be. Great job guys nothing beats these Professionals and I will recommend you to everyone I know!

Mike was able to help me over the phone fix a track lighting system that had a transformer that tripped. Cannot say enough great things about Mike and his responsiveness! Not to mention my lights are back to working and it didn't cost me anything. Highly Recommend!

Great service, fast, and professional. I had a minor repair for some switches and reached out to a few electricians via phone and Yelp quote messaging. MJP responded the fastest and had a reasonable quote, providing me with available slots. He messaged me when enroute. Marcin arrived on time, evaluated the problem (asking a few questions), and was able to repair quickly. My job was simple and would use MJP again.

Twice Penco has been able to come out the same day to help us with electrical problems. The first time we had no power after a winter storm and called about 5 electricians before finding Penco who was available to help us that day. They sent a manager over very quickly to assess the damage and then an electrician later that day to do the repairs. We asked about the hours charged on the invoice and they corrected it right away. Very friendly and professional service in the office and in the field.

We used Christian and his crew to redo our condo. Excellent experience. He was very upfront about what needed to be done and costs associated with the project. Being relatively new to rehabbing, he was able to do our project, bringing in outside expertise when needed.

Also, he told us what to avoid to reduce our cost. Very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a small or large job done.

Sam came to my home to add a 220 line for a hot tub I had installed.  the work was impeccable and he took the time to explain things, did my special requests, and even came back to hook up the hot tub after they delivered it as part of my job. he is very reasonable and quick to respond.

Consumers beware. Overcharging senior citizens and ripping them off. Was hired to fix one switch. One. Charged almost $300 just for diagnosing? That didn't even include fixing what he was hired to do

There are definitely reputable electricians in the area. If you're reading this please look for another company

I live in a very old apartment building (about 125 yrs old) and I was in need of getting two closet lights fixed.  I found Dosie Electric here on Yelp (who was nearby my residence) and called to request help.  Mr. Dosie explained his pricing and set up a date to come out.  This man is very prompt and very professional.  He had to get some parts for the job and was able to come back the next day and was able to use my existing fixtures which saved me money.  He will not sell you what you don't need...he does only what is necessary and it's very important to me because we know how expensive an electrician can be.  It's wonderful to have somebody who is old school and won't try to rip you off. His prices are VERY reasonable and I cannot say enough about Mr. Dosie.....I will definitely keep him in mind if I have any other electrical work that needs to be done.  I highly recommend him!

I couldn't be happier with the service provided by this company. Tom was incredibly responsive and had his team on the job the same day I contacted them...a real blessing after all the problems I have had with my contractor. They did an exceptional job and were a joy to have in my home...even my cat loved them! They were professional, conscientious, knowledgeable, and highly skilled. I will definitely have them back and I would recommend them to anyone.
