Best Electricians in Illinois

We had some small electrical projects to be done and Noel came out as soon as he could, within a week.  He and his employee spent a half day and all was done well and professionally.  The fee charged was very fair.  I would recommend him for sure.

Called him 3 times.. over the course of 2 weeks.
He never got back to me. He may be a good electrician but his customer service sucks.

We had Victor come by to install two ceiling fans. He was very responsive while scheduling and did the work for a reasonable price. The work was fast and he was clearly very knowledgeable about how to get everything done. We'd definitely have Victor come back for additional electrical work.

Electricians are notorious for not returning calls, missing appointments and flipping a coin on what the problem might be. Peter McCarthy and his crew are far from the average electrician. I emailed Peter and told him I needed brand new service (200 amp) installed. I got lucky because although I live on the north side and his biz does not head this way due to traffic, parking and tickets, he said that one of his crew lives in my neighborhood and would be able to stop by and assess the situation. I was very happy! Matt called me and showed up when he said .. on the money! He looked at everything, explained the work in detail so that I could understand and assured me that it could be done before Thanksgiving.

When the work was to begin the weather was not on our side. The job consists of work inside and outside the house. Matt, said he would do all the work needed inside while it was raining and complete all the work outside, the following when the forecast called for clear skies.

When the dust cleared, the lights were all working, the new panel in the basement looked extra clean, the outside meter and pipes looked flawless and it looked like nobody had even been in the area of where the work was done. Matt swept the floor and tidied up the existing wires/cables.

All the paperwork, permit and biz side of the job went without a problem. Peter is a sharp and smart guy. Cool Irish dude!

During the city inspection the in inspector said this is a neat job. I totally agree with him. BTW the quote I received from another electrician here on Yelp was was $100 higher for 100 amp service than the price I paid for 200 amp service. YES! {pumps fist}

My only complaint is that Matt would not accept any food, water, soda or beer from us. That's a big no no when you enter a Latin household. We make anything an excuse to have a party, dinner or a drink...ha

Boy would I love to give this place a review based on their work but I've called them three times and not a single call back. I've left detailed voicemail messages. Communication is non-existent.

Called someone else first on yelp list but changed mind after
he said he would set aside 6 hours work for me. I then called current and Andy came out and could not have been more professional and nice.
Job was done promptly and all was cleaned nice

I used Skyline Electric to do a full days worth of work on my condo in the city, basically fixing everything the inspector had found when we were closing on the condo.  Kent and Aldo were fantastic, completed the entire list, priced fairly, and gave advice throughout on the best way to do this or that, so it was both safe and cost effective.  They were able to adjust on the fly as I added things to the list as I identified them, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the final product.

Out of 7  Companies the only one who could come on that Day.  A bit high, but the price is displayed on the web site.  On  time and in and out in 30 minutes.  Very nice . I would hire again

We needed our old smoke detector fixed. Volodymyr was quick, straightforward, and professional. He also replied to messages within a reasonable time frame. Highly recommend!

I had a dining room light fixture that kept flickering on and off. I also needed a GFCI installed for the garbage disposal & outlet by the kitchen sink. I called Monday and spoke to Maggie who was very pleasant and professional. She advised me to get a new light fixture in case the old one was not worth fixing. An appointment was made for Wednesday morning. Lukasz, the electrician, was on time and did a terrific job. Installed the new dining room fixture & had him do 3 GFCI's in the kitchen.
Very satisfied with the prompt response & service.
Price was fair. I would definitely recommend this company.

Eugene and this company went ABOVE AND BEYOND for an extensive project that was done remarkably quickly and effectively.  Everything was explained CLEARLY. They came out IMMEDIATELY for no extra cost. They did extra work that they didn't charge for to ensure that the work done on my older property would last. I cannot say enough about this company.  You need electrical work, THIS IS WHO YOU WANT.

I would  recommend Hardt Electric without question. Todd was great. He responded to my call immediately and set up a time to come look at my house within the next 5 days. He replaced the ceiling fan in my room and brought it up to today's standards. I feel much safer with the new fan. He also added two outlets. I was so pleased with his work that I am having him come back in a couple weeks to install recess lighting in my family room.

Rosso did a great job with the shower faucet, replaced a light switch and 4 ceiling lamps for me.

I would not trust or recommend any other company than RED Electric. I was so lucky they were referred to me. Ed and his team are truly fantastic, professional and provided super high quality work. I had my entire house (1939 Georgian) rewired and upgraded to a 200 amp panel, plus they removed a ton of old low-voltage wires. It was about 3 weeks worth of work total and lots of holes in the walls but totally worth it  to have a safe, newly wired home. Emilio was the main technician at my house. He was so nice and friendly and professional. Not only did he do great work, he helped me practice my spanish and my skills improved dramatically while he was here. Even the inspector who came over knew of Ed and his team and said he has one of the best electric companies out there and is highly respected.  So do yourself a favor, just go with Ed and his team, don't bother with anyone else.

AM&L was referred by my Oak Park based Plumber. I spoke with the owner, Steve.  AM&L installed an exhaust bathroom fan/heater/light combo unit.  My house is 121 year old Oak Park Victorian. Dave, the electrician and his assistant worked diligently through a few challenges over a two day period to run the wires  - all inside from the basement floor circuit box to the second floor.  AML was very reliable, consistently followed Covid protocol and did an outstanding job. The best electrician I have hired in my 28 years in Oak Park. Highly recommended!

Jim and Dave were prompt, courteous and cleaned up their work. They worked through a day long list that included replacing outdated outlets            (inside and outside), installing new ceiling fans and clearing circuit routing issues. They provided clear, practical options when questions arose. In short , they were a pleasure to work with as were the office staff in preparing the final estimate.
