I cannot recommend Alltown enough. They completed the entire electrical scope for a large renovation I completed. They gave a good and fair price, but most importantly, they were able to meet my schedule. Very accommodating, professional, and had great communication throughout the project. I will be using Alltown for all my future electrical needs.

Called him 3 times.. over the course of 2 weeks.
He never got back to me. He may be a good electrician but his customer service sucks.

SO HAPPY! Another electrician wanted $1600 for something Victor was able to complete quickly and for a fraction of the price.

Victor is worth 10X what this company charges, and I'll be hiring E Contractor for more work that I need for the old-ass 1960's wiring in my condo.

We are extremely happy and satisfied with Peter McCarthy Electric!  We first met him three years ago when we needed wiring for additional recessed lighting in our kitchen and living rooms.   I called Peter McCarthy (by way of Angie's List) and got an appointment for him to come and give us an estimate. We were in a hurry to finish this work as we were also doing a lot of other larger projects in preparation for the arrival of our twins, which could be started only after we finished the electrical end of things.

I gave Peter five stars right on that first day when he showed up not just on time but ahead of time. I explained to Peter about what needed to be done.  While talking, I realised that he was completely booked for the next month with large projects in Hyde Park.  However, Peter agreed to start the work within two days, in between projects and only asked that we be a tad flexible since he and his team would have a sporadic schedule. Peter and his associate, Matt, made sure that the work was done in a timely manner. They were extremely professional, respectful and left the areas clean with no hint that they had been there!

After they finished that project, we had some other smaller ones that arose throughout the years.  I emailed them again without any hesitation and most recently a few weeks ago to add an outlet in our children's closet to keep things as cord-free as possible in their room.  Peter and his team are consistently a pleasure to work with and fair in pricing...

I have had a lot of good but a few bad experiences with my other contractors during several remodeling processes throughout the years.  But there is no doubt one can definitely learn about professionalism from Peter McCarthy Electric.  Thank you Peter and your team!  I always glowingly refer you guys to our neighbours/friends for any electrical needs!

Aardvark Electric did an excellent job replacing my light in my foyer.  The 2 electricians that came were super nice and very efficient.  The price was very reasonable and I love my new light fixture.  Would highly recommend this company!!!

We've now had two exceptional experiences with Current, and would highly recommend them.  Most recently, they provided us with a thorough estimate for upgrades to our home, and then scheduled an appointment to complete work soon after.  When completing the work, they were professional, polite, tidy, and most importantly, willing and able to tackle the difficult quirks of upgrading electric in a 90 year old home.  They even went as far as using a label maker to note which appliances need to be plugged into certain outlets due to voltage requirements.  Overall, they consistently go above and beyond, are responsive, and are extremely skilled in their line of work.

Great service, very friendly, made me feel like I was in good hands. Not an easy job but they never gave up and kept coming up with solutions until they got it exactly right. I could not be happier. Thank you again!!!

Prompt response to my plea for assistance with a circuit breaker that prevented my thermostat from functioning. No thermostat, no A/C, no fun.

Gino came out to take a look at a long exterior run of low voltage cable that I needed replaced in order to get my busted AC working. He told me it would be better if I contacted a company with HVAC licensing as he would be able to do the run but not actually hook up the condenser afterwards. He referred me a company that could do the full job and will hopefully be interested in taking it on. (I've been through 3 contractors already now trying to get this central AC unit fixed!)

Replacing electrical outlets, switches, and light fixtures by myself is not a problem.  But faulty wiring concealed behind a wall scares the bejeebers out of me.  After reading all of the genuinely positive reviews of Hardt Electric on Yelp and Angie's List, it was clear that I could trust this company to do the job.  

I emailed Todd, their residential guru, over the weekend and he arrived at our home Monday morning.  He was phenomenal, diagnosing and fixing the problem as though he could see right through the walls.  30 years' experience and friendly, too (he also likes dogs!).  Todd enjoys what he does and offers helpful suggestions.  The price was fair; Hardt does not gouge or 'nickel-and-dime.'

So, I join others in giving this company a Hardty endorsement!

Needed a repair in a hurry as a piece of my siding came off my house and the wood behind it was rotted.  It was at a 4 foot height so I hoped a handyman would be able to repair.  I contacted others who either wouldn't do this type of repair or never responded.  Rossi Handyman contacted me quickly and asked for photos of the repair.  Said he would confirm later that evening if he could schedule me in.  He replied exactly as he said he would and was able to come out the very next morning.  Mo was on time and pleasant to deal with.  He did a wonderful job replacing the rotten wood panel and checked the other areas to make sure there were no other damaged spots.  I could see he was meticulous about the details and took pride in his work to do it right the first time.  He was careful not to leave any debris or nails on the ground.  I will be happy to have him back whenever the need for a handyman arises.  Thank you so much!

Ed and his team are simply amazing. I've used him at least three times and feel badly for not writing a review sooner. This last job was a big one. He and his people were always on time, super thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, very conscientious and more than fair/competitive on rates. Small jobs to wiring a brand new commercial building - do yourself a favor and call Ed. Guys/companies like him are hard to find. Besides, he as a personality and is a pleasure to work with.

AM&L was referred by my Oak Park based Plumber. I spoke with the owner, Steve.  AM&L installed an exhaust bathroom fan/heater/light combo unit.  My house is 121 year old Oak Park Victorian. Dave, the electrician and his assistant worked diligently through a few challenges over a two day period to run the wires  - all inside from the basement floor circuit box to the second floor.  AML was very reliable, consistently followed Covid protocol and did an outstanding job. The best electrician I have hired in my 28 years in Oak Park. Highly recommended!

Had an emergency situation and within a hour Martin was out at the property and we had power again.  He was so kind to not charge a emergency fee on a Friday night after hours!
