Best Electricians in Illinois

I guess I don't understand all the glowing reviews. I contacted them to check the lack of power to my dining room. I was told they would see me the next day at 9 am. Not only did they not show up, but after I called two hours later to inquire about whether they were coming or not, I didn't as much  receive a return call. This is beyond unprofessional. If they weren't interested in my business, they simply needed to say so. Instead, they wasted my time, when I could have had professionals, who take their business seriously, handle my issue.

Awesome service. Super helpful.  He just gets done what needs to be done and isn't freaked out about messy projects. Mike helped me with 2 projects in the past - I needed a backup generator wired up to my garage sub-panel and his crew got it done quickly.

I also had a small basement water leak behind another home's electrical box - so I needed an electrician and leak sealer present at the same time. Mike was able to work with our schedules to get the job done - he removed the entire box and gave us access to the leak to seal up, then he re-assembled it back to normal.  Really happy with his old school style of getting things done.

I needed an electrician to install sconces at my place. Victor did an awesome job: he was quick, very efficient and the price was very affordable. I definitely recommend him and I will work with Victor again,

I recently hired Peter to install a simple pendant light in my dining room, upon recommendation of a friend of mine.

Even though the project was small, Peter arranged to stop by and give me an estimate on the installation, as well as to answer my questions about related electrical projects I wanted to complete.  During the installation, his crew gladly answered my questions and were quick and efficient.  I was particularly impressed that they didn't have to cut any new holes in my ceiling or walls.  

I plan to hire Peter again as soon as possible to complete my other electrical projects.  He does good work at a fair price and is helpful and responsive.  He has my highest recommendation.

So fast and efficient! Spoke with Frank. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Within a few days, Frank was able to get someone out to take care of it for us. Michael who came to do the job  was courteous and even showed up a few minutes early. Loved that they were able to share their business with us on such short notice and I highly recommend Aardvark! We've used Current Electric for 20 years, from the very small jobs to the larger. Would never use anyone else. They do exactly as agreed, are always prompt and polite. What more can you expect?

We had a short circuit in the conduit that tripped the breaker constantly. The only way to diagnose the problem was to pull new wire via the existing conduit. Aldo was excellent. He can think and figure out a problem quickly. His attention to detail is also great. He is experienced and it shows. He is able to look in a junction box and know where the wires are coming from and going to.

All in all the job took over 4 hours. The lights are back on.
They are courteous, the initial estimate was quite accurate, the knowledge was good, and they were there on time. I would hire again.

Happy to write this review since I know how hard it is to find an honest, reliable plumber.  We had another company try to charge us $600 for a part that I went and bought myself for $30--pandemic pirates! But not here. The company was responsive and fast, and honest with their service and price. Highly recommend. Will use them again no doubt about it.

We needed our old smoke detector fixed. Volodymyr was quick, straightforward, and professional. He also replied to messages within a reasonable time frame. Highly recommend!

Contacted Lukasz about a possible blown fuse. He responded right away and was willing to come the next morning. I eventually figured it out, but he was so nice to come out so quickly. Will definitely use LMV in the future!

Gino helped me get my apartment up to code with some bad electrical outlets. He was very prompt, friendly and efficient. I know it's difficult work trying to upgrade old wiring and construction. He was very resourceful in getting that task done for me.

We had a complicated electrical issue in our condo, where our furnace was connected to the building's shared meter electrical panel and we needed to reroute it to our own unit's electrical panel.
Hardt's electrician Todd was able to come out and fix this issue for us on short notice. He did a great job on a difficult wiring problem, and was able to investigate, diagnose a reliable solution and complete the job quite quickly. I highly recommend Todd for his skill, general know-how and integrity.

I am not reviewing for services BUT i reached out for a quote, Russo wasn't able to help with the services but took time to review my request, asked for more info and then recommended whom i should reach out to. I appreciate this and if i need a handyman will definitely reach out again. Thank you

I would not trust or recommend any other company than RED Electric. I was so lucky they were referred to me. Ed and his team are truly fantastic, professional and provided super high quality work. I had my entire house (1939 Georgian) rewired and upgraded to a 200 amp panel, plus they removed a ton of old low-voltage wires. It was about 3 weeks worth of work total and lots of holes in the walls but totally worth it  to have a safe, newly wired home. Emilio was the main technician at my house. He was so nice and friendly and professional. Not only did he do great work, he helped me practice my spanish and my skills improved dramatically while he was here. Even the inspector who came over knew of Ed and his team and said he has one of the best electric companies out there and is highly respected.  So do yourself a favor, just go with Ed and his team, don't bother with anyone else.

Steve & Quinn did a ton of electrical work in our house, including but not limited to all of the wiring in our kitchen, powder room, and home office.  They even pointed out that our smoke/carbon monoxide detectors were past the end of their useful life and should be replaced.  We were very impressed with their timeliness, professionalism, and work product.  I  recommend AM & L without hesitation.

My garage door wasn't working and it was determined the cause was a problematic electrical connection.  Cal repaired the problem and explained it clearly.  He got the job done for less than the original estimate.  I feel this company is honest and handled my issue in a prompt and professional manner.  I plan to use Alternating Currents again for any future electrical concerns.
