I rarely write reviews. I cannot say enough positive things about Noel and his company. He came out a few years ago to fix an issue that a prior electrician had left a mess. He fixed it properly and efficiently and was much cheaper than other quotes I got. On top of that, he was very pleasant while performing the work. This review however pertains to a recent issue that I just had. I came home to find that the majority of my house did not have power. I scrambled trying to call COMED and I tried to reset my circuit breaker. Nothing worked. On a whim, I called Noel since he was so great a few years earlier. He called me back right away and talked me through the issue, and gave me suggestions to fix the problem. One of his suggestions worked! I offered to send him compensation for the consultation, and he refused. I have referred him to many friends after my initial positive experience, and all have also had very positive experiences. But I could not have been more impressed with his integrity during my most recent interaction. He is the only electrician I plan to ever use, and will continue to recommend him to others without hesitation. You will not be disappointed.

I needed a new outlet in our garage for a refrigerator.  Mike responded immediately, provided a very fair quote, and corresponded in a timely fashion.  For installation, Mike provided options and got my buy in before starting.  Mike was professional, informative and he completed the job as expected.  No hesitation using again if I need an electrician.

Frank and Chris were professional. Showed up on time. Got four jobs done in out house in less than 1 hour. Excellent work.

We have used Current for over 9 years.  They were the electrical contractor who was hired by our general contractor to build our house.  They did an excellent job.  Since then we have used them more than 10 times for various projects large and small.  They are timely, responsive and provide detailed quotes. The staff is nice, professional and well trained.  We have had no issues.

Skyline Electric was the kind of service provider you hope for.  We had a catastrophic incident (a utility pole fell into our house) and we called Skyline but didn't leave a message, as they weren't able to answer at the time.  But they called us back because they saw a missed call, and they came out the same day (within a few hours of them calling us back), and they resolved our issue in less than 15 minutes - some luck, some obvious experience.  Kent was very helpful and knowledgeable.  I am duly impressed - this company deserves their high rating.

In a Chicago winter, there are always going to be plumbing and heating problems and technicians get swamped with requests for emergency services (missing appointments) or want to charge an arm and a leg when they arrive at your house. I have used these guys twice now and both times they were reasonable and helpful. They gave me a reasonable quote through the yelp app, and upon arrival, seeing the problem not as big as before, adjusted the price even further. They always respond within 24 hours, and schedule arrival within a day or so of your infractions. Morever, the tech, Jose, is easygoing and pretty accurate in his assessments and handy enough to address various types of problems I've had with water heater, furnace, and showerhead water flow.

We needed our old smoke detector fixed. Volodymyr was quick, straightforward, and professional. He also replied to messages within a reasonable time frame. Highly recommend!

I had an electrician from Bartlett, IL, but he was always too busy to come out. I tried LMV because of reviews here, and their proximity. This was one of my best decisions. The electrician they sent was very skilled, and did a good job at a very reasonable price. He even put down a tarp to protect my counter top, and cleaned up after the job. Good company. You can even text them pictures of the job and get quote in return. Highly recommended.

Attempts to overcharge on basic jobs, attempt to charge $100 per surge outlet, changed pricing, do not use this company

Todd came out and was great.  First, he answered the phone.  A seemingly small task; however, plenty of other electricians in the city failed to return my calls, answer my calls, or respond to my e-mails.  Second, Todd was able to schedule an appointment quickly so my electric issues didn't continue.  And lastly, he did a great job, was super knowledgeable, fixed a light in about 2 seconds, and then fixed a light switch and installed a fan.  The best part was he identified that the bracket for the previous fan was not safe and he was able to install a new bracket, which required some non-electrician work, but he was easily up to the task.  Thanks Todd!

He replaced a light fixture in our bedroom,it was an older electrical setup,he was able to figure it out and installed a new fixture.This is the second time I've used him and will be calling him again,I highly recommend him.

Ed and his team are simply amazing. I've used him at least three times and feel badly for not writing a review sooner. This last job was a big one. He and his people were always on time, super thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, very conscientious and more than fair/competitive on rates. Small jobs to wiring a brand new commercial building - do yourself a favor and call Ed. Guys/companies like him are hard to find. Besides, he as a personality and is a pleasure to work with.

AM&L did a great job on the electric wiring during my kitchen and bathroom renovations. They are a nice family owned company and clearly take pride in their work. Definitely would recommend them.

Top notch business with buttoned up employees! Unfortunately we have many electrical issues at our home and we stick with Alternating Currents. Today James diagnosed the issue we had with a dedicated microwave outlet , explained everything throughly and corrected the issue. He then triple checked the wiring in the junction box and aligning areas. He was a pleasure to have in our home too!
