Best Electricians in Illinois

What can I say?  Alltown Electric saved me.  I had another company completely mess up and really leave me in a lurch (and gaping holes in my house in the middle of construction).  I got Noel's information from a neighbor and he came right away, did a bid, and started work immediately.  The work done was absolutely top notch and was done in a timely manner.  He was fair and efficient and pleasant to work with.  
In short, you would be nuts to hire anyone else to do your electrical work.

Called to have a line run for our new pool. Mike was prompt, thorough, and his estimate was totally reasonable for the amount of work that his team had to do. With my many schedule changes he was super flexible throughout the whole process.

When can anyone say that a contractor was an absolute delight to work with!  I can, so much work to do in my money pit but at least I know I have an electrician going forward!

Victor was one of the most competitive bids for the outlet that I needed for my tesla.
I have an older house that requires a lot of extra detail and he was able to accomplish with 0 problems. He is friendly and knowledgeable and that is why I chose him over others.

Although I haven't had the chance to use Peter McCarthy Electric for a repair, I'm giving him 5 stars based on the conversation I had with him last week.  After finding him on Yelp, I called for an estimate on some problems we were having with our ceiling fans.  He called me back & spoke with me for some time regarding possible causes & solutions for the issue.  He thoroughly explained everything & couldn't have been nicer.  Unfortunately I had just spoken with another electrician & scheduled an appointment with them, which is the only reason I didn't go with Peter.

A few days later I received a letter from him thanking ME for my time! Wow!  If I ever need more electrical work done, I'll definitely call Peter.

Cannot say enough how great these guys are.  Frank always picks-up the phone and is excellent with working around my schedule.  Chris who came out to do the work was fantastic.  Extremely professional and did an excellent job.  In addition, my car was in the shop and both Frank and Chris offered to drive me back to my office - how's that for customer service.  Five-stars isn't enough.  Will only use Frank & Chris for all things electrical.

This company is as good as it gets!  So professional and courteous!  They were always on time, respected my home, left it cleaner than when they arrived, were friendly and knowledgeable.  The work they did was fantastic. I would completely recommend them for any electrical work that needed to be done!

I'm so glad I called Kent.  He made a housecall but because it was something so easy to fix (a switch out of place...  I swear, I troubleshooted), he didn't charge the normal rate for the visit.  Honestly, what a great guy to do that...  I was totally on the hook for the full amount.

On another note, when an appliance in your house breaks, you probably want it fixed asap.  I called Kent on a Saturday, prepared to leave a message, and was shocked when someone picked up.

I will come to this team for every electrical need I have in the future, for sure!

Two problem with my past experience with the company
1. The estimates they quoted are so much higher than others.
2. The business owner is not open for price negotiation and seems very inpatient.

The good part is the technician Jose explains things in great details and is very patient when answering questions.

Quick service and installation of a tricky light fixture! Took two hours for a new chandelier, but that was with needing to do a little re-wiring. Professional and easy to work with!

I had a dining room light fixture that kept flickering on and off. I also needed a GFCI installed for the garbage disposal & outlet by the kitchen sink. I called Monday and spoke to Maggie who was very pleasant and professional. She advised me to get a new light fixture in case the old one was not worth fixing. An appointment was made for Wednesday morning. Lukasz, the electrician, was on time and did a terrific job. Installed the new dining room fixture & had him do 3 GFCI's in the kitchen.
Very satisfied with the prompt response & service.
Price was fair. I would definitely recommend this company.

Eugene was very helpful in explaining main circuit breakers and junction boxes without requiring a service call.

I am 8 months pregnant and wanted to fix some minor electrical issues before the little one arrives.  I had limited knowledge of our issues, but was told they needed to be fixed from our building inspector when we were buying the place.  I saw Todd's reviews on Angie's List and a week later he was at my door.  He is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest.  What more could you want?  He also didn't make me feel silly for not completely knowing/understanding what my issues were.  My home feels safer now that he's been here and fixed those issues.  He's definitely my go-to guy in the future for any electrical needs.

Mo was so helpful in fixing my convoluted outdoor hose issues. He had extra parts in his van as well and explained each issue in detail. He also fixed our gate when he noticed something off. Would hire again!

I would not trust or recommend any other company than RED Electric. I was so lucky they were referred to me. Ed and his team are truly fantastic, professional and provided super high quality work. I had my entire house (1939 Georgian) rewired and upgraded to a 200 amp panel, plus they removed a ton of old low-voltage wires. It was about 3 weeks worth of work total and lots of holes in the walls but totally worth it  to have a safe, newly wired home. Emilio was the main technician at my house. He was so nice and friendly and professional. Not only did he do great work, he helped me practice my spanish and my skills improved dramatically while he was here. Even the inspector who came over knew of Ed and his team and said he has one of the best electric companies out there and is highly respected.  So do yourself a favor, just go with Ed and his team, don't bother with anyone else.

These guys are amazing!  We moved into 99-year old house and had no idea what the wiring was like.  I removed a fixture to put in a new ceiling fan and had no idea what I was looking at, but I did know that it crumbled in my fingers.  It turned out to be cloth wiring so we called these guys and could not be happier with the work they did.  They were beyond respectful of our space, were creative with their solutions for replacing the wiring to minimize cutting into walls, were on time and dependable every day, were friendly, and were extremely competent.   It's a family-run business and it really felt like it was their home they were working on when they were here.  I highly recommend them to anyone needing anything electrical done in your home.

Called the day before Thanksgiving and the owner walked me through my problem over the phone. Was a huge help! Will definitely call back!
