From start to finish Noel and Kyle did an excellent job.  It was the first time I called this company and Noel answered and they were able to fit me in that day.  Not only were they friendly, their work was superb and I highly recommend them.

I hired Advance Electric to run underground electric out to the detached garage in the new house we just bought.  The previous owner built a new garage but they never installed electric.  They did a great job. Permit, trench, ran the conduit, installed interior lights, workshop light and various outlets for the garage door opener, tools, etc.  The work was inspected by the city and was immediately approved.  They were prompt, professional and easy to communicate with.  Highly recommended.

Good service, but no clear fee structure.  I recommend getting in person estimate or risk being over charged.

Peter is great; he is fast, kind, and responsible.

Peter installed a new electrical 240v line for an outside waterproof outlet to our second floor condo. He worked off an existing line that ran to our air conditioning unit. It only took a day to install, and about a week total after the initial quote. Peter was clear to describe what he was doing and provides a five year warranty on his work! YAY!

I highly recommend hiring Peter if you live in Hyde Park. Support local businesses. :)

I found Frank a couple years ago when I needed some updates and code issues resolved. He's super knowledgeable and honest!

Our most recent business with Frank was a hot tub installation. The location of the tub posed some issues making the electrical end of it more complex than normal. Frank came in with the best ideas and a creative solution. His price couldn't be beat and the final result is gorgeous. No visible cables or conduit. He did a super job. I will be using Franks services again soon.

I had an amazing experience with Current. Called to set up an appointment to get an estimate for exterior lighting put in on my home. Phone was answered - this might seem silly but a lot of places don't answer the phone or return messages. Anyway, Don arrived when he said he would (called when he was on his way), Don was knowledgeable and helpful in deciding where and what kind of lighting would be best for my home. And, when he wrote up the estimate (sent later that week via email) it was listed out so we could see the cost of each part so we could pick and choose if we wanted to do all the lighting or just parts. That was super helpful. Anyway, scheduled an appointment for the lighting installation and the technicians were very nice and professional. They didn't mind at all as I watched them work and asked questions. I cannot recommend Current Electrical enough.

We were housesitting for our son who was on his honeymoon. We found that he has an electric line problem and a ceiling fan that did not work.  We called Skyline Electric because it had such a great Yelp rating.  They had a cancellation and were able to send an electrician the same afternoon after I called.  They were quickly able to fix the electric line problem, but the fan was a little more difficult.  The ceiling fan was removed and replaced from a 14ft ceiling. They had to bring a 12ft ladder up 4 flights of steps.  After replacing the fan, it was found that the switch that came with the fan was defective.  Keith, the owner, came with a new switch that provided 3 speeds for the fan.  This switch is actually better than the one provided with the fan.

This is a family run business that is every bit as good as the other Yelp comments indicate.  My wife and I are so happy that we found a great, honest electrician for our son and his wife.   Larry S

We needed our old smoke detector fixed. Volodymyr was quick, straightforward, and professional. He also replied to messages within a reasonable time frame. Highly recommend!

Lukasz and Maggie are great people and very reliable. They were so quick to respond and accommodate our needs on a service panel upgrade and dishwasher wiring installation. Lukasz came on time, answered all my questions and did a great job. I would work with them again if I ever need electrical work done.

Todd Hardt came and fixed an outdoor lighting and wiring issue.  He was prompt, meticulous, and knowledgeable about wiring.  He was efficient, trustworthy, and went the extra mile.  I would recommend him to anyone needing an electrician.

Mohammed was great! He communicated well and was extremely timely. I had him install my ceiling fan and he did his due diligence to make sure it was done properly. I also asked him to removed a few light fixtures for me and he didn't hesitate. Thanks so much for making this so simple!

Ed and his team are simply amazing. I've used him at least three times and feel badly for not writing a review sooner. This last job was a big one. He and his people were always on time, super thorough, incredibly knowledgeable, very conscientious and more than fair/competitive on rates. Small jobs to wiring a brand new commercial building - do yourself a favor and call Ed. Guys/companies like him are hard to find. Besides, he as a personality and is a pleasure to work with.

Completed several projects including resolving problems with 4-way switch that another contractor was unable to resolve.

Fantastic company.  Marty came out to my house to go over some options and give us a quote.  Once we paid our deposit we were put on the calendar, they showed up on time, did the work in the contract and cleaned up.  His employees are all very nice and do nice work.  I would definitely use Alternating Current again and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of electrical work.
