This is the 3rd or 4th time using Fixer for a home improvement project and these guys are great.  The are always in time, very professional and work quickly and efficiently.  If you have any home improvement project it seems like they will be able to do it faster and more effectively than anyone else at a very reasonable price.  I look forward to using them in the future they are now my only choice when it comes to projects I can't do myself around the house.

I had purchased a new washer/dryer and was stressed out when I found that my electrical wasn't up to code. I called about 5 different guys, 2 didn't call back, one told me he'd have to make huge cuts in my ceiling to do the job, and one was going to take 3 weeks before they could come back.

Duplex Electric came out quickly, explained the process that they planned to use and scheduled a return appointment in a reasonable time frame. They were so friendly! They have top marks on Angie's List, and are also the electricians for St. John of the Cross Parish.

They did a great job on what I needed. There were two working together, so they worked efficiently, and they explained everything to me in detail so that there was no confusion (much appreciated). I felt confident hiring them, and they made the process stress-free. I also referred them to my parents who also had an excellent experience. I would recommend them to anyone!

I need a wired patio motion detector light replaced. I reached out to AZ Electrical and others with a Request a Quote. Art responded quickly with a competitive price.

When I hired him, I actually hadn't recalled that I'd hired him previously. Eep.

Things went great. He texted with an ETA about 30 minutes before arriving, which is appreciated. He took down the old light, installed the new one, and tested it for me. He offered to throw out the old light )not necessary, but nice).

As part of the sale of my home, I needed to get an electrician in to fix my attic fan. Donatello made arrangements to come in quickly and take care of the job.  I had used them before and was very satisfied with their work that time as well. Good company to work with.

Extremely easy to schedule and work with! Matt arrived slightly early (which I appreciated!) and completed our ceiling light install in no more than an hour. I was nervous he would have to rip out drywall to set up the wiring, but thankfully he was able to wire and install the light without any wall damage. He was professional, friendly, and the cost was reasonable. I would definitely call Prolite again!

I tried to fix a very slow drip on the main water shut off valve in our basement.....the valve that goes out to the street. I made the leak much worse and realized I needed professional help. Josh and Jose from OneStop arrived right on time, had the parts needed for the repair on the truck and completed the job in about an hour.

Jeff came out to give a quote for some electrical work in my two bathrooms.  It was pretty simple stuff: four can lights on dimmer switches, low voltage LED lights, and a bathroom exhaust fan.  I was totally unimpressed by Jeff's knowledge as I was having to tell him how to do things (you'll need to cut this 2x4 and put in a 4 slot electrical box, you'll need to run a whip here and run a box here....).  Basically I had zero confidence that Jeff knew what he was doing.  Jeff also said he would send me a quote and he never got back to me.

I had a terrific experience with this company. I left a message and received a call back in less than 24 hours. I was able to schedule a convenient appointment. The serviceman showed up on time and offered a reasonable quote for the service. He was able to get the job down in a timely fashion which was very helpful due to travel plans. This company is professional, the work is of great quality and I'm already making plans to call them again for more work that I need completed.

Long overdue review on an excellent job done.
I contacted David when my house in New Lenox was being sold and the fuse panel needed to be replace as an inspection objection from the buyers.  I contacted a few other electricians but David gave me the best price, time to complete and was very responsive with our contacts.
He showed up on time (2 days from when I called), was able to do the job on a tight timeline, but took enough time to do a clean job on the wiring.  He's professional, easy to talk with, has good communication and did a great job.  He's the kind of electrician you keep on using when projects come up.  Thanks David for the excellent work.  We ended up selling our house easily thanks to the upgraded panel.

Matt installed 12 ultra-thin LED wafer lights with dimmers in my basement for us and I couldn't be happier.

Communication was excellent.  After I contacted him and told him what I was looking for, we quickly worked out a plan using some pictures of my basement as well as a diagram of my proposed light layout.  He had some good recommendations on how many switches to use due to my layout (2) as well as going with wafer LEDs due to some ceiling joists and duct work that may have gotten in the way.

He showed up right on time, had all the tools, equipment, and parts that were needed, and was done about 7 hours later.

My basement room is now much brighter, and the dimmers have already come in handy.

I would use him again for any future electrical work.

I was very pleased with Randel Electric. Randel Electric did work for me over a holiday weekend. They showed up on time, fixed all my issues knowledgeably and quickly, and were very fairly priced.  It is hard to find dependable service professionals nowadays, but Randel was top-notch. I highly recommend.

Installed a new outlet for a wall mounted tv. Did a great job and was quick. Great price and great service.

These guy's are great! I had called several electricians, including the people I had been using for the past three months, and could not get anyone to come out; scheduling for service was at least several days out and I needed service right away.

I looked further in Yelp and discovered Homer's, who happens to be right in Rodgers Park (don't know why I didn't find these guys earlier because I sure as hell would have used them). My previous electrician, I could never understand his pricing because it seemed as though he would never have an idea what the costs of the job was going to be until after the he finished a job, and I really hated writing checks at the end of each job.

Anyway, Homer and his partner came on the same day I called and discovered the problem I was having was so minor that they didn't charge me. Don't find that happening very often. Aside from that, they were very friendly and give me great advice. I will be using these guys moving forward.

I used HandiCo for the first time last week to repair quite a large section of drywall. Their service was excellent. They responded quickly to my emails, arrived promptly and cleaned up when they were done. The work was to a high standard and the final invoice came in under the quoted amount.
Very happy, will definitely use them again.

I would not recommend this company. When they replaced the breaker box they had to remove wood paneling on the wall, which was fine - they put it back. But in doing the work they damaged the tiles at the bottom, and then refused to take responsibility. They said they were broken before they began work and wouldn't fix it. We have proof they were not broken as our house had detailed photos and videos taken right before that to be put on the market.
The only positive is that they were the only electricians able to get the work done quickly. But I still wouldn't hire them again.

Called them on Thursday and they were able to show up the following day to change out my outlets. Cheap prices, priceless work. Clean and efficient. Great service and would definitely recommend Gomez Electrical.

I contacted Fixer last Wednesday to see if they could take on a small task that just required supporting a couple of bolts on the hinge of my fence. When I called, the representative couldn't quite understand the scope of my project, so he decided it would be best to schedule a consultation. I explained I only wanted a consultation if the project could be completed that same day. He said it shouldn't be a problem. He confirmed the cost would be $139 at time of consultation and that would be applied toward the total project of hired, also that would be the hourly rate. Knowing there's no way that project would be more than an hour. I was desperate and needing it to be done ASAP and so I agreed.

My scheduled time came and went and then I received a notice that my appointment was rescheduled to the following day and they would Credit $15 toward the cost of the consultation. I reached back out and again reinforce that I wanted to cancel unless the project could be completed on the same day. Again was told it should not be a problem.

Nino came out the next day. He was very professional, and nice. He explained he couldn't do the project the same day because he hadn't been booked for it, and even if he had, it was too cold for him to make the repair.

This was a blessing in disguise. I paid the consultation fee, and later got the estimate and was in shock - the total for this project was nearly $300. I had no idea they were going to charge $89 for their handy person to walk into a hardware store, on top of charging $50 (+20% upcharge) for parts which was a couple pieces of wood and a couple of bolts and the hourly rate.

My dad made the repair today in less than 30 mins with a drill and two bolts. He also used a saw to level out the bottom of the fence as Nino had also offered to do.

I just can't believe the cost, it's outrageous. I would not recommend this company based on cost and also the administrative to field miscommunication.
