Fast, on time, honest service.  We asked for a pre home inspection of our electrical panel, expecting news that we'd need to a good amount of cleaning up (it's from the 1970's) but Ted took his time to thoroughly examine, and confidently determined it's in great order, safe, etc.  He said it was up to code and there was no reason to do anything to it.  What a huge relief.  He is putting it on letterhead for us, for a future home inspection for peace of mind.  Very minimal charge for his service.  I am highly recommending Kinetic Energy (and Ted!) - they were honest, amazing!!

Cliff came out and installed an EV charger in my garage. He gave me a fair price, the work was outstanding, and he fit me in to his busy schedule. I couldn't be happier with the job he did. He asked all the right questions and the job ended up being right what he had quoted me. He would definitely be my 1st call if I needed any future difficult electrical work done!!

I found Hilman Construction on Yelp during winter break vacation. Chris was out of town, but called me right after the holidays were over. I had a few handyman jobs that had to be done.  Chris was very nice,professional and very honest. He told me his price per hour, and said that my work wouldn't take that long.  He suggested that I wait until I had more work so I wouldn't waste my money. He was very nice and helped me over the phone by telling me how I could try to resolve  one of the problems myself. Then on 1/27/13(today), I called him because I had water leaking under my sink. He told me they were not working today because of the extreme cold weather, but this was a small problem and he would stop by.  Chris fixed my leak without any problem. I then showed him things I need done when the weather warms up, and he took the time and looked at all my jobs, and suggested what could be done. He wouldn't even let me pay him, because he said he  really didn't have to do much. He is going to have  someone come tomorrow to do some other work I need done. I have used my fair share of handyman services and contractors and  I highly recommend Hilman  Construction. It's not easy to find a nice, honest and knowledgeable contractor. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to have met Chris and have him help us with our projects, both small and big.

In a recent phone call home, my mother mentioned to me that her dryer had died on her, thus requiring her to go to a laundromat. I did some research on this (price to repair vs. buy a new one, namely) and decided that the best course of action was to hire someone to come out and take a look at it and hopefully repair it.
I reached out to a few companies on Yelp, but ultimately landed on J&J Repair. The man I spoke with on the phone was incredibly nice and was able to come out the very next day to take care of things. He also offered a reasonable price that included his service fee, labor, and the parts needed for the repair.
The repairman just left my mom's house and was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. His quote was accurate and there were no sneaky fees. As an added bonus, he was able to accept payment via credit card. The dryer is once again in working order thanks to the fine folks at J&J Repair! My mother has even lined up an appointment to have her garbage disposal looked at in a few weeks. This was a great experience and we look forward to doing business with them in the future.

I will be eternally grateful to Keith and his awesome partner for coming to our rescue on very short notice.  We recently found ourselves in a predicament with a horrible contractor we hired to finish our basement.  I called Keith in a panic and asked him when the soonest was that he could come look at our electric in our basement.  He came out with his partner in record time, and upon looking at the basement, he determined that the electrical that was installed was a complete mess - the wiring was wrong in every fixture (we have 20 can lights and 16 outlets on the wall!!) and the wiring from the main panel to the subpanel was incorrect, which would have caused our A/C to overload.  Keith and his partner immediately figured out what all the problems were and got to work, fixing it all and leaving us with a beautifully lit basement.  Not only were they both completely efficient, but they were very thorough and knowledgeable about how to precisely configure the wiring to ensure our safety in our home.  As they were close to finishing the job, Keith made a special trip to Home Depot to get more wiring and the correct breaker to fix the mess the other contractor made of our electrical in the main fuse box.  I'm sure this would have cost us much more money than what he quoted us at, but Keith didn't charge us more than what he originally estimated.  We cannot thank Keith and his partner enough for a job very well done!  I can finally have peace of mind in knowing that my house is not going to burn down, and we owe it all to Keith and his partner!  I highly recommend Enigma and I will be referring Keith to any friends or family members looking to have work done.  His knowledge, experience, and professionalism is top notch, and we couldn't be happier with his performance.

Our Main House Breaker Went Defective During The First Quarter Of The Super Bowl And We Lost All Electric In Home.  Called Adrian Electric From Their 24 Hour Online Ad & Frank Responded Immediately. After Our Initial Phone Conversation,  Frank Said He Would Have Someone At My Home Within The Hour.  20 Minutes Later, One Of His Electricians John Was At Our Home With The Correct Breaker. Although John Had Been Interrupted At A Super Bowl Party, He Was Very Patient, Thorough & Friendly Going Threw Every Breaker To Make Sure There Were No Other Issues With Our Electrical Panel. Our Electric Was Back Up & Running By The Fourth Quarter! Last, The Emergency Appointment Was Very Reasonable With The Price On The Phone Being The Price Paid With Receipts For The Breaker Being Showed To Us. I Would Highly Recommend Frank Adrian & John For All Electrical Work & Have Put Adrian Electric On My Preferred Contractor List At My Real Estate Office In Downers Grove.

We needed a handyman to complete some repairs for our mother's Gold Coast/Near North condominium following an pre-sale home inspection.  The buyer asked for repairs by a licensed contractor and an invoice to verify the repairs had been completed.  After searching high and low we selected Joe because of his location and the rave reviews he received.  Those reviews are well deserved and now he has ours as well.

Just needed some simple electrical work and an assessment for possible other work.  Joe was able to make room in his schedule to meet our immediate needs.  We worked out the details of the work plan in advance by phone (I'm in California) and he executed the plan to perfection.  He called me when he completed his assessment, we agreed on the work to be done, he got the necessary materials, completed the work and then called me with the details and sent me photos and an electronic invoice which I paid for using Chase EasyPay.  When I needed some followup from another trade, he was able to refer me to someone.

We could not be more pleased and would recommend Joe highly.

Half of the outlets didn't work in our kitchen and we couldn't figure out why. We called JMR and Jose was very polite and professional on the phone. Luckily he was going to be in the area so he got us in quickly. He was very through! He would not stop until he found our answer and kept us informed the whole time. He was very reasonably priced too. Jose is the owner who serviced us

Very responsive, polite, and reasonable in cost for the work that was done. Didn't charge a diagnostic fee which most other electricians were requiring to even pay us a visit. We had a few issues with our electrical (a light that wouldn't turn off and another confusing wiring situation in our bedroom). Jaime was able to quickly identify our issue, correct it, and even corrected another issue that we didn't know could be easily fixed. I would highly recommend using Good Guys Electric. Very happy customer here!

We had intermittent electrical issues - Lou provided a thorough and thoughtful appraisal of our situation.  He showed us the problems, took photos and outlined the specific steps to resolve.  We received other estimates - none were as thorough as Lou's - and it was less expensive.  Lou and Rosario (sp? - if incorrect sorry) replaced our entire electrical panel, and resolved a mysterious issue in one room.  Lou and Rosario refused to give up.  They carefully evaluated multiple scenarios that could cause the problem, and finally found and repaired the problem.  We have such confidence in Lou and his work - his expertise is evident and he takes his time to help customers understand his work.  Fail Safe should be your first and last call.  We highly recommend Fail Safe - outstanding service and work, and a genuinely nice guy to boot.

JD electric.

 I gave JD electric a professional detail  work in writing through text/email of the work needed to upgrade my homes electrical panel material and all. JD electric then gave me an estimate that was within our budget. 

However, after stopping by the house he quoted another estimate that was $1200 dollars over the original quote.

Im not mad or disputing his new quote.
If that is the price that he is charging.
I would not want him to be cheated from his work pay.

However, after shopping around for more rates we were able to find a local license electrician
(5 Star review) that was able to work with us at a very reasonable price.

James was very professional. Helped me with installing a new 4 prong outlet. Even went out of his way to help me move my appliances.

Terrible service, felt scammed the entire time. Tried to up charge me by hundreds of dollars. Took advantage of me not knowing electrical issues. Tried to charge me $650 for what second electrician I called told me was $120 worth of repairs. Beyond frustrating company to work with.

They probably nice people having a bad day, but I called just to get some info and got hung up on twice. The first time I was hung up on soon as I finished my question. Then I thought the phone might have just messed up, no biggie. I call back get immediately put on hold and 90 seconds in it picks up and I get hung up on again. Not trying to be a bother, just was interested in your services and prices.
