We bought a new dryer that was causing an electrical fuse to blow whenever we used it. I called PB Electrical Services and they came right away, diagnosed the issue as needing a new circuit breaker, and fixed it same day. Great service and I'll definitely use them for future electrical needs!

High recommend this electrician!!  Service could not have been better!  Tony showed up on time, wearing a mask.  Very friendly and polite, very efficient, figured out what was wrong with my light fixture and switch and fixed it, no problem.  Everything works great now!  Very reasonable price as well.  All Power will be my go-to electricians from now on.!

I have worked with Omar and his team for a few years. He has done multiple installs for me as well as consultations. I have been happy with all the work he has done. More importantly though he is friendly, communicative and he doesn't make you feel intimidated at all about something you don't have a lot of knowledge about. I will continue to use him and his team and cannot recommend Excel and Omar enough.

Frank Perlongo did a lot of electric work in my old Berwyn bungalow.  He's very reasonable and does top quality work. He's a perfectionist!  I will always call him for any job, big or small. I highly recommend him.  He had to re-do my ceiling fans and other electric that was done incorrectly. He really knows his stuff!

I scheduled an appointment with John to install a ceiling fan and check a potential loose wire connection in an outlet. We made the appointment a week in advance. He was on time and did an excellent job plus he's a nice person. The new fan installation needed  some more work since the building still had an old gas pipe so he took care of that and the other project and the bill was very reasonable. We're so happy we found him.

Malek is reliable and honest.  Very thorough and they never recommend unnecessary work.  We have used at three different homes now.  Highly recommended.

I'm really not understanding why my experience was a complete 180 from other reviewers, but calling it a nightmare would be a supreme understatement.

I needed a dedicated outlet for the sump pump in the crawlspace because you cannot use an extension cord for it in my town. I called Vlad, believing I had called him before and he never got back to me (this was my error). He was very polite and came immediately to look at the work needing to be done. So far, so good! He quoted me a very fair price and said he could do the job the same day - even better! I made sure I said that the sump pump needed to be plugged directly into an outlet. He said he needed to go to the hardware store to pick up what he needed, after 2 hours I called him to make sure he was coming back. He replied yes, he would be here shortly.

And this is where my nightmare began.

A couple hours later, I notice that it had gotten very warm in my house. AC is usually set at 72 and when I checked the thermostat, it read 80. I politely asked Vlad if he did something to the AC, and his reply was too many wires and went back to what he was doing. That really wasn't an answer but I went back in the house and turned some fans on, sure that he would fix whatever he did to cause the AC not to work.

As the hours progressed (he started work at about noon). the AC still wasn't working and the WiFi thermostat was turning off and on and re-setting every few minutes. He was messing with the breaker box for a REALLY long time and would NOT answer my questions but rather just shrugging his shoulders and ignoring me. You have no idea how frustrating that was.

At about 6:30 (still no AC, mind you), he comes into the house and asks me for an extension cord. I ask him what for. He replies that he needs one to plug the sump pump into the outlet. Excuse me, what??? The whole reason I needed a contractor was because I needed the sump pump to plug directly into an outlet! He tells me that he thought it was better to put the outlet close to the crawlspace door and that's why he needed an extension cord, because the outlet was too far away from the sump pump cord. I tell him that he did not do the job correctly and that I needed the outlet close enough to the sump pump so that the cord could be plugged directly into it AND he still needed to address my AC not working.

He insisted that he did nothing to the AC wiring and that it must be an issue with the AC or the thermostat. Both are fairly new and it was highly unlikely that it was not his fault. He insisted that I needed to call an AC person to come look at what the problem could be and repeatedly insisted that he did nothing wrong.

At 7:30 he comes back into the house and simply says, Money, give me money. My husband came home from work at this point and told Vlad that he must have done something wrong, crossed a wire, something, because there was no way this was not his fault. We wrote him a check for less than what we agreed on, because come on! He got a bit ugly at that but finally left.

We had no choice but to call the AC company that services our furnace/AC. That was a $155 service call. While we were waiting for them to show, I went to do a load of laundry only to find that there was no power running to the washer and dryer. My husband went to the breaker box and found that the washer and dryer were now connected to the furnace breaker, so YES ABSOLUTELY he caused the problem because the washer and dryer were previously on their own (correct) breaker.

So, the AC company could not help because it was not an HVAC issue, and I then had to find an emergency electrical company that had a $195 service call fee. No way in hell did I trust Vlad to come back and fix what he messed up. Although the electrical company came Saturday morning, the repair was so extensive (and required an HVAC tech along), the repair could not be done until Monday. We spent 72 hours without AC.

Attached you will see the invoices, showing that yes, it was very much Vlad's fault. We have had to pay over $1300 to fix what he did.

Installing a new outlet on a dedicated circuit breaker is basically Electrician 101.

In addition to this review, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and seriously considering pursuing legal action - something I have never done in all my many years of being a consumer/customer.

My new home was in need of a ton of new lighting and electrical work. When Jonathan came out to give his estimate, I knew he was the right guy for the job for many reasons. He was communicative, thorough, and very knowledgeable. I had a pretty clear vision for what I wanted, so he listened and made sure he understood every detail to get the project done right. There were also a few areas where I was uncertain and he provided me with some really awesome options that ended turning out even better than I could have imagined. Jonathan is a real pro and he will definitely be my go-to for any electrical needs.

Our Generac whole house generator failed to come on during a multi-hour power outage on a Sunday morning. The Generac support line recommended AL Electric as the closest dealer. Andrey picked up the phone after two rings, came out within an hour, and had our generator running within 2 minutes. (The generator had an error code that required dealer service.) His charge for an emergency visit on a Sunday morning was very reasonable and he will be coming back later in the week to do full maintenance on the unit. As the Generac support person said, you need to have a dealer do maintenance on it yearly so AL Electric will be our regular service. Andrey is also very friendly and knowledgeable.

Our Condo building uses ABS Electric for our common area electrical repairs and equipment replacement.  Have not had a job they could not do.
My wife and I had used them in the past in our condo unit for a chandelier move and adding a couple of dimmer switches.  All went well.
Today we used them to add two ceiling can lights with dimmer switches and rough out a wall in our bedroom so we could add an electric fireplace.  More work then I imagined but they tackled the job of moving conduit pipes that where there, adding a junction box and another  two outlets. Brian and Jason were on time, worked hard, did a couple of great installations and left the area neat and clean.I thought the price was fair. I feel comfortable recommending ABS Electric to my condo neighbors.

I requested a quote for the installation of can lights in my kitchen, and Tom from InTown Electric was one of the first to come back with a quote.  In addition, Tom actually provided a cost estimate without coming on scene, something others were not willing to do.  Tom, and Nick, were a pleasure to work with from the very beginning.  They made my small job feel like it was as important to them as it was to me.  Not only was scheduling easy, Nick finished the install sooner than expected and below the quoted cost amount.  Tom came by after the job for a quality inspection.  I would highly recommend InTown Electric, and I will be calling them for all my future electrical needs.

We can't say enough good things about David Patterson.  He does outstanding work, is incredibly responsive and helpful, and is a pleasure to work with.

David integrated a complete landscape lighting/electrical system into our new patio/landscaping project. We had no experience with this type/scale of project and David patiently explained every step of the process, answered all of our questions, and was always brimming with great ideas.  He is fabulously knowledgeable, his guidance was spot on, and we are extremely pleased with how everything turned out.

I called Sonar Electrical today, for the first time ever. Sal was at Home Depot in Evanston when he answered my call and was at the house within 20 minutes. Not only did he fix an outdoor garage light we were having trouble with, but he noticed jumper cables starting to smoke as one of our cars was charging in the garage. Sal is priced reasonably, super knowledgable and a true professional. He is very detail focused, too - going so far as to tell us what kind of lightbulbs (LED) were a good buy for our garage light fixture and where they were located at Home Depot. Also - you could not find a nicer guy to work with! Sal treated us like family. We will call Sal for all of our future electrical needs.

They were at my home on 2 occasions in Rogers Park. The work was excellent and finished in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks from Norm.

My wife and I have been talking about getting an EV car for the last few years when it came time to replace her car. As a result, I wanted to ensure we have a safe place to charge it. Therefore, we needed a Level 2 charger. I talked to some EV owners, and they all recommended a NEMA 14-50, 50 amp outlet installed in the garage.

Here comes Shock Tech 2. I used Yelp to ask him about a quote. He responded very quickly and asked for some information about the house. We talked about the location of the house, and he was able to give a quote based on the house and some pictures I sent regarding the panel, the path to the location, and the location itself. I liked this approach since I contacted other companies who, either, didn't respond or claimed they had no openings soon for a quote. I also liked how Shock Tech 2 kept in constant contact such as letting me know he is on the way. I've had companies in the past now show up at all after I took the time to take time off of work. From the start to finish, Jaime/Shock Tech was courteous, and professional.

On the day of installation, he was very professional. Got some cloth to protect the floor. He asked if our pets were allowed in the basement or not so he was kind to close the basement door behind him. There was no mess and he ensured everything was clean afterward. Not to mention, he found an issue with my electrical panel which he fixed too.

In the end, the quote was exactly what he asked. Compared to others, his quote was within the average price, but the quality was second to none. I had some quotes to add a bunch of, possibly, unnecessary wiring. His installation was simple and straight to the point. Also, he installed a breaker/emergency off switch next to the outlet, which was not mentioned in the other quotes. Therefore, his quote was actually more reasonable than others. My wife and I have other electrical plans for the house, and Shock Tech 2 will be getting all my business and recommendations to family/friends.

Don is a bit slow on the draw, and forgets to follow-up at times.  He is climbing up in his years, and I think should be about ready to retire, but despite his occasional forgettfulness, he is a great guy, down-to-earth, and knows his electrical buisness.  He is fair and guarantees his work.  I highly recommend Don Carmen Electric

Had my faucet fixed recently by them & was very satisfied. They're polite,  efficient, skillful, & knowledgeable handymen. 10/10 recommend!
