Best Plumbing Services in Washington, DC
Hector and his crew were very prompt and professional. They competed the work on budget and within their estimated timeline. Also, their pricing was very reasonable. We would definitely work with them again should the opportunity present itself.

Excellent service, courteous workers. Came right on time, repainted our deck rails, fixed a soffit and repaired and repainted two back doors that we're rotting a little.
We thought the price was reasonable and he even left us with little cans of the leftover paint they used.
We'd definitely use them again.

The Customer service rep and Chris, the plumber, were both wonderful. Chris didn't mind my unruly dogs jumping on him. He was fast and efficient. I will use Alpha the next time I have plumbing issues.

I ultimately selected another service (someone who's worked extensively in my neighborhood) to replace my water heater but the quality of the customer service I received warranted me giving Sami's their due kudos. I had called and spoken with Eric who asked for photos--he replied quickly and provided me with an estimate to replace the water heater when promised. This brief interaction was enough for me to continue to reach out for quotes/estimates/service in the future.

Abe was great! Talked to him on the phone and described my problem and he knew exactly what it was that needed to be fixed. He came out the next day. He even gave me an estimate range based what he thought it was. Once he got here confirmed the problem and proceeded to fix it. He even gave me advice on what to do so this problem doesn't happen again.

I would give this business 0 stars if I could. They stated they could schedule a call on Monday 1/4, but never showed up as discussed because they needed a credit card on file. After corresponding over Yelp for 3 days. I told them to call and I would provide the CC number via phone, but they never called for the CC number or showed on Monday. They stated that they couldn't ahold of me via phone, which was patently untrue as I had no missed calls. Also, why didn't you send a message if you couldn't get a hold of me via phone? The customer service is terrible and the lady on the phone was RUDE. Terrible vet owner company (from a current military member).

Bob at Allied is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. Looks out for his customers and is way more than fair on pricing. Highly recommend!

Axel was punctual and answered all my questions. He did a great job installing my shower. This is the person you'll want to have as your plumber. Pricing was fair & I was very pleased with $50 military discount as well. I will definitely be hiring him for future plumbing needs.

Double check the price when dealing with them. The $179 flat rate plus materials was inaccurate. I asked the owner, Carlos, if the price included materials and he said yes. Well apparently it only included the materials he had in his head would be needed to for the job, because when his team arrived and did something more...it cost me more.
Integrity in business is everything. You may get me once but not again. That's not how you do business and certainly not how you get repeat customers...
The team he sent was superb and I would have used them again if the owner hadn't tied to blame his employees for the higher costs. Not good business...
They get a three star because of his employees' work...

Very prompt reply and a no obligation evaluation. Gave a fair price in one day and completed service on the spot.

We recommend them whole-heartedly. We've had them out for a variety of things now, including to fix work bungled by another plumber. They've also fixed a leaky sink and installed a faucet and a toilet. They are very reasonably priced and their work is very high quality. They've diagnosed a few things for us, and if nothing was wrong they said so. This alone makes them our go-to plumbers now, but they are always really nice guys, clean, and quick. Thanks for everything so far!

I have used this company twice. Once for an emergency outgoing water pipe problem and they were amazing! And the latest was for a number of fixes and upgrades (fix the regulators for water going to outside faucets, the main water supply shutoff, and two toilets that were either leaking or running all the time, and upgrade a showerhead/tub faucet). They show up on time, are so nice, very transparent in the pricing, careful with how they treat your things, explain things well. I plan to have them come back and replace some other things that are getting old. Cannot recommend them enough!

While they did a great job on the first repair, we asked them to come back to fix our dishwasher and they ended up breaking it worse. They need to stick with what they're good at.

I have used Roto-Rooter twice in the last month because of freak drain issues. Each time they came quickly and as scheduled. The staff were very cheerful and upbeat even though it was raining on one trip and they had to pull a dead animal out of the drain on the other. Nothing fazed them and each time the drain cleaning worked like a gem! Nice to have a service that does what it says in the time frame promised! Thanks Roto-Rooter!

Received an estimate for repairing and replacing outside drain by breaking concrete and repairing pipe up to 5ft into the home as needed. Estimate also including back-filling with concrete up to the previous level. I authorized the ESTIMATE OF SERVICE and the credit card was charged by the vendor 3 days before the work was scheduled and almost a full week before it was actually performed due to rain. After contacting vendor 2 days after the rains to obtain a schedule for the repair, I was advised that it would be the next day but the time estimate didn't seem certain. After having someone wait all day for the service, I advised the vendor that if repair wasn't performed by the rescheduled date, a new plumber would be contacted.
The work was done on the rescheduled date after 5pm. The actual repair required only replacing outside drain and 6-12 inches of pipe. SIGNIFICANTLY less work than estimated. When I inquired as to a discount for the service that was performed, I was advised that there are no discounts because the scope of work was with the anticipation of having to go further. I advised the vendor that the auto repairman doesn't charge me for what he could have done when the work turns out to be something different, and that I was disappointed, but learned a lesson. To that I received no response. Had I been there to monitor the work, I would have asked about revising the estimate and had I known there would be no change in the amount, I would have had them dig out and replace the full 5 feet of pipe to get my money's worth.
I advised the person who recommended this vendor that I was disappointed and would never use or recommend them for future work. She indicated that she had never received a negative response from any recommendation and I told her that I guess someone had to be the 1st.
The shame is that had the work been more than estimated, you can guarantee the vendor would have required additional payment. But since the service was less, I as the customer, am SOL. Sadly, not even the 10% discount from the vendors website was offered as a concession.
I would love to retain business cards and request or recommend repeat business by the service providers I've used, but after having dealt with 5 contractors in 5 years. I have yet to find 1 who doesn't do sloppy work or sloppy business.
This is my review. Take it for what it's worth.

I was hesitant about using Michael & Sons as they have very mixed reviews - but a coworker whose opinion I respect on such matters indicated that he uses them regularly, and that while they are not the least expensive provider on the block, they have done consistently good work for him...
So when I needed to have my gas range disconnected and reconnected in order to have new flooring installed, I called them.
Efficient service, including digital copies of invoice and recommendations. The technician who did the work was on-time, and was affable and efficient.
Not cheap - but they did a great job and ensured the work met my needs. Would definitely use them again.

I was forced to go with this company because it's the company used by my Home Warranty.
A week in advance, they scheduled an appointment for a 3 hour window on a Thursday. Instead, they showed up Wednesday, and then didn't show up during their 3 hour window on Thursday.
After they already wasted 3 hours of my time, I called in. The lady admitted it was her mistake, and they tried to schedule a new 3 hour window the next week. I asked to schedule a specific time so I don't lose another 3 hours due to another one of their mistakes. They got rude on the phone and then said they can't guarantee a specific time- after we already learned that they're not in the business of meeting any of their own guarantees anyways.

We had a plumbing emergency on Memorial Day. Uh oh, I thought. We're about to spend some big money. Nope. Len the Plumber sent somebody over right away. He was friendly, didn't track mud in the house and wasn't freaked out by an old house in the city. (Many contractors are.)
He diagnosed the problem and actually recommended a much less expensive fix. He could have done the work and charged hundreds, but instead he recommended a more common-sense approach and saved us a lot of money.
First class, all the way. I'll call them again.
