Eddie and his team are awesome. My water heater broke on a Tuesday, leaving me, my wife, and my newborn baby without much needed hot water. Understanding the urgency of the situation, Eddie not only quickly located a replacement but also worked with my home warranty company to make sure they covered most of the cost. By Wednesday evening he completely replaced the heater with a new one, and we had hot water again. I could not recommend him more highly.

We hired Ben's plumbing to find and fix a leak in our gas dryer line.

Their technician Rob came out same day and explained everything calmly and patiently. He didn't pull and punches and explained that the couplings probably were sealed properly originally.

He said he was happy to replace the entire line as he would have to take it completely apart to assess anyways. After he took it apart, he reported he was certain the couplings were the problem and they were clearly sealed improperly. He revealed and reinstalled quickly and we haven't had any issues since!

I really appreciate his honesty and professionalism. He did what was best for us and was polite, professional and very respectful of our home! He could have replaced the whole line and we wouldn't have know any different!

I found Roy on a freezing cold night when I turned on a water faucet and no water came out. I thought the pipes were freezing, and I called my former plumbing company and got no response at all. I found Service Force online and Roy allayed my fears (not the emergency I thought) and came next day and fixed the problem. Service Force immediately became my go-to plumber. Since then, Roy has installed a new toilet and Japanese wash-let (a great and much less expensive alternative to the bidet I had thought about having installed). He just left today after relighting the pilot light on my water heater--which I was afraid to do myself. His prices are very reasonable and his work superb. Best bonus of all, he cares about both his work and his customers.

Had a faulty relay replaced. Brandon unfortunately had to come out multiple times due to a silly loose wire that knocked the whole system offline after he was done. The issue is now resolved and we are happy as can be. Would recommend again.  10/10.

We contacted Gary after reading his stellar YELP reviews, to replace a leaky kitchen faucet. Gary talked us through the type of replacement faucet we needed and came out an hour later to install the new one. Gary exceeded my expectations for the work, the price and most important, his professionalism. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone needing plumbing work and will definitely keep his business card at the top of my list. Excellent work! Stellar Job! Great person to do business with!

Did an awesome job in my home!! The worker hung my tvs FAST and effectively, as well as fixed a few other problems around the house. Prices were reasonable!! Work EXCEPTIONAL!! Will definitely use them again and recommend to ALL!!!

Really disapointed with this company and will not use them again for any of their services - plumbing especially.

Bear in mind I'm giving them this rating AFTER reaching out to them at least THREE times so I don't give poor ratings for the heck of it - I'm giving it on the basis of what I thought was very poor work, and even worse customer service. Very 'loose' sense of ethics overall. In brief, after they started the job and left a massive hole in my wall I had to get two other FULLY qualified contractors to visit my property to finish the work. The quotes they gave me confirmed Modern Mechanical was ripping me off. When I challenged M.M on this there was NOT even the slightest effort to correct the work or apologize (which is essentially why I decided to write this review.) The only excuse they gave was that their worker was very experienced. Complete rubish.   Many other workers are also experienced and they don't use this as an excuse to rip people off. They told me some complete nonsense about having to 'flush the entire plumbing system'. At that point I knew their worker was full of it.

If you have to use them make SURE you get ANOTHER quote from at least one other company.  M.M's quote was a wopping  4x a comparable plumber's work - that's right - 4x. To add insult to injury once he started the job - cutting a hole in my wall - he said it would take him another week to finish it!!!   I then called in the other workers and found out what nonsense M.M was telling me. The new workers I called in did the job in about 3 hours total.

By the way - MM - if you ever read reviews - maybe you should just apologize when you're caught out and fix poor workmenship while you're at it?

Great experience from start to finish! The owner was very quick to respond to my quote request and came to our house to evaluate the problem within a few days (he could have come sooner but my schedule couldn't accommodate it). He was also very knowledgeable and fixed the issue during the same visit. Our water heater is working perfectly now and he also followed up a few days later to make sure the issue was resolved. Would definitely recommend this business, and will plan to use them again in the future!

I have used several other plumbers over the last few years with no favorites.  

I called and talked with a real person.  I needed a new toilet.  Once I picked up the toilet, they sent someone out.  They installed the toilet in a professional manner and was very neat in their work.  

I was more than pleased  and now have a new favorite plumber.  They will be my first call next time.  Thanks Dan and Brian!!!

Today we had exceptional service from Jermal. He arrived 30 minutes before we were expecting him, which in our case was much appreciated. He was clean and considerate, even took his shoes off at our front door. He didn't mind that our young daughter wanted to watch him work. He worked efficiently and even showed us how to prevent needing the same service in the future. Couldn't be happier with the service he provided or recommend him more highly!

I left two messages on 3/30.about having my water heater replaced starting at about 10 am. When I didn't get a return call I went on the web site to request a quote that evening. I had hoped to use this company after reading all the good reviews. I called again on 4/1. It's 4/4 and I still haven't received a return call. Had Sears install my new water heater on 4/2.

This is by far the best experience I've had considering it was an emergency situation. Troy responded quickly and fixed the problem same day and without any issues. I highly recommend Troy for any heating and cooling issues you may have. I will be using his service exclusively from now on!

My tenant toilet was clog after another plumber came and messup a perfectly working toilet! I called plumbline because of yelp review, they (Vendell) were here on time, the guy told me that snaking will cost $290 + $40 service fees!!! I was chock but didnt have much choice because my tenants need the toilet fix asap. He tried to snake and it dint work et came back and told me that he going to have to remove the toilet for another $75, thats when I said I cannot do it, too overpriced, I argue with him and he accepted to do it anyway for no additional cost. I fixed the issue, i pay $330 instead of $405, still way overpriced!!
I fill like they did a good job but the price is just a rip off for 30$ work, I actually asked him if there were brain surgeon, why there were so expensive???

Beware, this company is not responsive.  Nearing two weeks since my initial visit and acceptance of their verbal proposal.  I have yet to receive a paid receipt, the written proposal for the scope of work, the copy of the Certificate of Insurance and a copy of their DC contractor's license which I need to submit to the condo board for approval for replacing a gas stove with a new one.  I have called daily and emailed five times, spoken to no less than 10 individuals in customer service, each one stating they will get the information to me promptly.  I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

John G Webster came to do two different jobs for me.  Both technicians were very polite, on time, and did not try to upsell me on anything...I was surprised how fair their pricing was.  For one of the oldest and most respected HVAC and plumbing companies in the city.  Highly recommend!

This is a scam and a ripoff. Someone came in to look at our garbage disposal in the sink for 15 minutes. They fixed the clog and charged us $165 for it! Then they said the garbage disposal had a crack and we should replace it. When we inquired how much it would cost, they said it would cost $565 including service. The garbage disposal costs $130-$150 at home depot. We pushed back and said that they were significantly marking the price up. When we checked the prices online and let them know, they said it could be done for $425. We refused. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. The guy who came in looked like he didn't want to be here. I do not recommend using them. The big mistake we made is that we should have inquired about the cost before having them come over for servicing.
