This company is the best!!!  Usually when you have to call a plumber it's not a good thing but brownlee plumbing eased all my worries and got me fixed up with lighting quick response and turnaround time .  They were very knowledgeable and friendly , and made my experience excellent.  I highly recommend this company .

Brownlee Plumbing recently replaced my old gas hot water heater.  They were very professional and efficient.  I was very happy with their services and will use Brownlee Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs.

So, our sewer backed up on a Friday.  Brownlee plumbing was on it in a flash, clearing the line and preventing some major unpleasantness!  Jotis Brownlee suggested running a camera down the line to make sure it was ok and not very surprisingly found that the pipe was nearing collapse--and from the video feed, it was pretty clear that disaster was looming.  Flash forward a week, and the problem's solved and a quite reasonable price--new sewer and water lines, all done in a day.  Can't recommend Brownlee Plumbing highly enough--they are the best.  Have a plumbing issue??  Give them a call!

Mr Jotis and his team are very professional. They arrived on time, texted us before arrival, very reasonable pricing. We used them to replace the main water line back in June 2020. We would recommend and will use them again.

I gave Brownlee Plumbing a call to check out possible low water pressure and pipe noise.  I believe Jermal came to check out the issue. Somehow the noise couldn't be recreated so no work was done to the house.  I asked him a couple of questions and he gave me an honest answer.

Brownlee Plumbing is a skilled, professional, trustworthy organization. I needed a plumber immediately for what I thought was an emergency. Other plumbers pushed me off and were unable to make time to assess my issue. When I explained my concerns to their receptionist, she immediately contacted Jotis to see if they could squeeze me in at the end of the day and she did. They had great communication throughout the day, notifying me by email and text of their status and when I might expect them within the appointment window. When they arrived, they were in full COVID prevention gear which made me feel safe having them in my home. Their work and equipment was state of the art and they explained things thoroughly to me. I hope I don't need a plumber again - but if I do, this is my first call. I give them my highest recommendation.

I've lived in the DMV for 13 years and Brownlee is by far the best plumbing service in the area. There are no gimmicks, no tricks..you get a thorough explanation of the problem and you understand right away what you're paying for. Their scheduling service is prompt and professionalism is #1. I'm a very satisfied customer. I've used Brownlee for 2 years and have had nothing but a good experience.

Today we had exceptional service from Jermal. He arrived 30 minutes before we were expecting him, which in our case was much appreciated. He was clean and considerate, even took his shoes off at our front door. He didn't mind that our young daughter wanted to watch him work. He worked efficiently and even showed us how to prevent needing the same service in the future. Couldn't be happier with the service he provided or recommend him more highly!

My wife and I just recently purchased a townhouse, and we already have a water leak!!! It was crazy, my wife takes my newborn downstairs Wednesday morning and then starts screaming bloody murder. I jump up to discover the ceiling in the living is drooping down because of pooled water and about to cave in. I knew I had to shut off the main water valve, but was at a loss after that. I pulled up plumbers by zip code on the internet and Brownlee Plumbing was the first entry. So I decided to give them the first shot. After initial contact I was told they might not be able to see me until the next morning, but after sensing my desperation and dire situation they told me they could move there schedule around to fit me in same day. Within a few hours they arrived, quickly diagnosed the origin of the leak, and saved me from further damage.  I am still completely blown away at how professional and courteous they were to my personal needs and how quickly they were able to resolve my situation.  Definitely saving their number if any future problems arise, which I hope isn't anytime soon. I will say it's very hard to find high quality, ethical, straight shooting tradesmen these days, but Brownlee is a cut above the rest.

These guys took my call at 10pm on a Sunday and had my sewer backup cleared by midnight.  They were up front with pricing, accurate, and fair.  Because I did not have a sewer access point, they had to remove a toilet temporarily, and it is now reinstalled much better than it was.  We are very happy overall.

Second time I write this review (lost other one on different website), so I'll be short. Do yourself a favor and consider Brownlee. They were the second plumber to service my issue (slow draining pipe / all they way outside), which they fixed. Other plumber was good, but Brownlee was better for the job. Would hire them again!

I called Brownlee on Wednesday to request an appointment to get an estimate on moving pipes from a bulkhead into the ceiling and had an appointment scheduled the next day. So, that was amazing. Mr. Fox showed up (on time). In about 15 minutes he evaluated the job, gave me a ballpark estimate (which was more than I wanted to spend) and explained why it was that high, and then recommended to me that I don't move the pipes and why. I really appreciate the straightforward honest assessment of a professional (who could have easily suggested it would be worth it for him to take my money). Again, amazing. Brownlee is now at the top of my list for companies to call when I need a plumber. Thanks (oh, and we had a good laugh about rival sports teams)

These are some great guys who take pride in their work. It's not often you call a plumber for a good reason. I've called on Jotis for a broken sewer line (8 feet deep in the front yard), leaking toilet valves, new construction, and everything in between. He and his crew get it done right and done well. His prices are very fair.

We used Brownlee for several years but their model seems to have changed. They have a service answering their calls, so the people who answer the phone can only pass your message along, they don't have any information or plumbing knowledge. For a recent service call this meant many back and forth phone calls and then waiting for someone to call me back (which didn't always happen). The second issue is cost...the estimate they gave us was a full 30% higher than another company recommended by a neighbor and the work was identical. We went with the other company.

Great Plumber!!! Reasonable prices, super friendly, quick service, and will go out of their way to make sure you're happy with their work.  I've used Brownlee Plumbing twice now and I'm recommending them to all my friends and neighbors. Honestly, you can't go wrong with these guys!!!

I set up an appointment due to a kitchen sink leak. I received a call the morning of my appointment to get more info on my issue. During the call he was kind enough to first troubleshoot the issue with me before coming out and that was actually enough to fix the leak. Saved me a lot of time and money which he really didn't have to do. This was very much appreciated and I would be happy to call Brownlee Plumbing again in the future if anything else comes up.

We needed a plumber in our new location in Alexandria and we picked Brownlee based on good reviews and word of mouth.  We have been extremely pleased with them.  They've taken care of three issues in two visits, and we were really thrilled to get good work at a great price. Definitely recommend.

Quick response, had all the equipment and materials they needed, and were thorough. I didn't like hearing I need to replace my main sewage line, but that's not their fault. I could see it plain as day on the video as it unfolded, and they were patient enough to answer all the questions I could come up with. Would use again.

Would not recommend this company - we found them to be unreliable with scheduling (multiple no-shows) and unprofessional.  They demonstrated poor attention to detail and were very difficult to work with.

Fortunately I knew this was going to happen sooner rather than later since the existing unit was 16 years old and living on borrowed time. I contacted several plumbing companies in advance to get a feel for the cost and Jotis at Brownlee Plumbing impressed me with his knowledge, prices, and customer service. I saved his number in my favorites and told him I will be in touch when the event occurs. Figures it was the Sunday before Christmas when I spotted the leak. I called Jotis and he immediately scheduled me for the next morning first thing. They were prompt, professional, pleasant, and it was all a job well done. His prices were much more inline to what they should be compared to other plumbers in my specific area who overcharge for everything. I will definitely use Brownlee Plumbing anytime a plumbing issue comes up without hesitation.

We had an extremely slow leak coming from the pipe that connected our sink to the main sewer line in our utility room. We found these guys through our realtor and I'm very glad we did. They came out the next day, didn't charge us for an emergency, and did their best to minimize the damage to our cabinets while they looked to find what was wrong.

Once they realized our options were to put a man-sized hole in the back of our cabinets or remove them, they found a contractor and contacted him for us. It was decided a hole should be taken out of the side of our house instead of removing cabinets ($600 VS $6,000) to get at the pipe. It took all day but they fixed the leak and even replaced our old cracked cast iron pipe going to the county lines. They replaced it with PVC pipe which looks much cleaner and installed an access valve in case we ever have to have our sewer pumped; this was a nice preventative measure for them to do without prompting.

It took them until about 7PM but they stayed to get the job done and I totally appreciate it. It was a bit pricey but for the work involved I still feel it was a good value. I will absolutely use them the next time something else in my house breaks as they were quick, friendly, and reasonably priced.
