Best Plumbing Services in District of Columbia

I have never used this company. I wrote a very poor review for a different company bearing a similar name.  The VERY, VERY, VERY WRETCHED company I reviewed is in Harrisburg, PA.  Again, this company is innocent of any damages to my home.

Wonderful. Would recommend and call Mr Sa again if needed. Fixed two toilets and a few minor sink issues. Responsive and very quick scheduling, good pricing.

Fast, friendly and professional. Jim fixed our toilet within minutes. Will call again when needed. Highly recommend.

I was getting reminders from WSSC about backflow prevention testing.  Turns out I have a non testable device and the part needs to be replaced every 5 years.  It had come up on our home inspection but I had forgotten to get it taken cared of.  I consulted the list on WSSC site for approved companies to work with and selected a competitor.  That competitor was mostly responsive but did not have the part with them and gave me a very high quote to replace.  

I read the reviews here on Yelp and decided to reach out to Durance.  Not five minutes after leaving a voicemail, I got a call back and an appointment on the day I had chosen.  I got a follow up reminder the day before and the gentleman, didn't catch his name, appeared bright and early and got right to work.  He told me what needed to be done and the amount the part would cost and got right to it.  He even took a quick look at a leaky bath faucet I had and suggested the part be replaced- even suggested I try to contact the manufacturer in case they could replace it for me as it would be costly.  I didn't follow up on that but did appreciate the diagnosis and tip.

I left for work but my husband told me the part was tagged and an invoice was left so that I would be all set if the WSSC came after me again!  I'm pretty sure they even contacted WSSC for me but I wasn't there so I am not 100% certain.  All I can say is I am extremely pleased with the customer service- prompt and professional and got the job done in one visit for a fraction of the cost the competitor was trying to squeeze out of me.  Thank you Durance!

I am so happy i went with this company! From start to finish - GREAT WORK! I contacted them through yelp, they responded in timely manner, and provided all the rates and terms upfront. I first was hesitant , because they charge for first 30 min , and then for each 15 min. Not the set price for the project. So i just had to count on their professionalism and honesty. And i am glad i did.
They arrived within given time frame, called me prior to arrival as i asked. Two gentleman came on company van with the logo, uniformed, and smiling. They  We needed waste dispenser to be replaced. They finished it in 20 minutes. Tested it , checked everything , made sure that everything worked the way it should be. My bill was in accordance they told me before. I ended up paying 2 times less than the other companies quoted me. Plus their work comes with 1 year labor warranty. They were in and out in 30 minutes. AMAZING work! Nw i see why they have such a great rating here on Yelp. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend them to others!

Professional fast and polite. The give reasonable prices. I have used over the last 5 years and no problems.

Today is the second time I've used Calabrese Plumbing. They are dependable, knowledgeable, and fair. The response I get from them is very quick, even during a pandemic!

They are the only plumbers I've ever used that I feel like they're treating me as an important customer, not someone who is going to fund their sailing and skiing habits!

Called to get a quote on a new HVAC unit. The guy came out same day and said I would have the quote the next day. It has been over a week, I have followed up twice and I still haven't received the quote. The guy seemed knowledgeable but I'm not going to beg someone to take my money.

Technician was polite and arrived timely but did not understand my ductless minisplit system and offered no useful solution while pushing an expensive cleaning I didn't need. Another company came out and actually did something to get the system working.
I would not recommend Cardinal.

Fully recommend George and Ahoy Plumbing!  Was extremely quick to respond to my call.  Great communication and scheduling.  Explained my issue and clearly laid out what was required.  The quote was fair and reasonable.  The workmanship was excellent and fully resolved my problem.  A true professional!  Just wish I had found him earlier.

Had to get water pipes going from the outside bibbs on the front and the back done, along with updating the shutoff valves on the bathroom. The sinks and bathrooms were checked to make sure everything is up to code and no issues.

The work quality is excellent and recommend to do business!

Today we had a water heater installed and our fall HVAC check-up done.

Received a call from a very pleasant lady at 7:50am saying the technician was on his way. At 8am he was at the front door with everyone he needed to start work. He did not seem to mind me watching what he was doing and explained everything. When he finished he started draining the water heater so the next crew could get right to work.

At about 8:30am the two technicians for the water heater arrived and started immediately. Same deal; they did not mind me watching and asking questions, did a fantastic job, cleaned up everything and we're done by 10:45am.

Great service. I strongly recommend them and intend to use their services for all my HVAC and plumbing needs.

What a disappointment. This used to be the premier stone showroom in DC. Sadly, the Georgetown Waterworks staff is burned out, error prone and utterly indifferent to quality or customer service.

In attitude and execution Waterworks management says every day: we really, really do not need your $ business.

Sloppy, unprofessional and rude.
I had a really unpleasant experience with Stevens just last week. I hired them to do three things: replace the bathroom sink, replace bath/shower plumbing (I was having it retiled) and install a new gas stove. The gentleman that came gave an estimate of 1 hour for each project - which I thought was rather high, but agreed.  In the end, he was at the apartment from 11:30am - 6pm.   I was not there during the plumber's stay, but I had painters who were.  They told me that the plumber took a lot of trips out of the apartment.  
When I got home, the stove wasn't in and the bathroom was a complete mess. The plumber had even used one of my good towels, it was completely soiled with black gunk, wet and just left on the floor.  There was debris in the bathtub and all over the floor.
When I called the next day to complain, I spoke to a gentleman, Mike - who was extremely defensive and rude.  He was clearly more interested in defending the maximum number of hours he could preserve on the bill - didn't really care that he had an unhappy customer who had come home to a complete mess, soiled towels and a stove that wasn't completely installed.
Really terrible experience - worst experience I've had with any service provider ever.

Our toilet got flooded due to the refrigerator. He agreed to fix our bathroom ceiling with paint and living room ceiling for $600 total. Once he started working he started complaining and started saying its too much work i and I am just helping you we paid him $300 to get the supplies. He messed up our walls and said he never said he will be painting the whole ceiling. This guy was trying to find ways to get more money out. He simply refused him and asked him to leave. We were not going to pay more for the job which is still unfinished and very poor job. Now he started to post my pictures my kid's pictures my house pictures on social media and he has started to harass me and my wife. I would not recommend this person at all. If anything happens to me or my family this guy Edward would be responsible

I think this place is run by a plumber and his wife, which is pretty cool.  We called because we were having problems with our garbage disposal -- before she even sent her husband out to take a look, she took us step by step on how to fix our certain model.  No charge.  And our garbage disposal works now!  I love these guys!  So knowledgeable, and so honest to help us out first before charging us to come out.  I am a very thankful customer, even if I never paid. :D

Ashburn, VA - For a water leak estimate, their technician came on 9/2/20, but finding it complicated issue, another technician came on 9/3/20. He promised to give em estimate by the evening of 9/3/20. I made 5 calls and one email to their sales manager Ken- [email protected], still have not got any estimate. Today morning when I told that I am going to post -ve reviews online, they said they have sent me estimated several times. I do not see anywhere in spam folder or otherwise. They are not responsive to my messages. Poor customer service. Will not give business to them. They advertise promoting giving free estimates, but they are giving hard time to give one

Have dealt with them several times.  Usually pretty good service, but very expensive.  Last time I used them, the plumber was over 30 minutes late for a 2 hour window appointment and didn't fix the problem I paid him to fix.  I will need to have someone back to redo the work.
