A previous plumber had tried and failed to remove the leaky cartridge from our shower.  He had said the only thing to do was the replace the entire shower valve, which meant breaking through a wall in the living room!  When we explained the situation to Denver's Plumbing, Donnie said he was pretty sure he could get the old cartridge out, but given the hard water in our area it might be corroded to the point where plumber #1 was right and he'd have to replace the valve.

But he succeeded where a lesser plumber had failed!  And I am extremely relieved.

He also came on time, did some other plumbing chores, and charged a reasonable price.

Highly recommend this small business!!

Pablo is the real deal. Not only is he extremely responsive, but he has impressive turnaround time.

We were able to schedule an appointment with him Sunday night, for the next morning all through the yelp app. He promptly arrived on time and fixed two appliances in what seemed like minutes. I cannot recommend this business enough.

Hopefully we don't have any other appliances that give us trouble in the near future, but if we do, we know who to call.

Roto Rooter Manager, Mr. Purcelle, contacted me after reading my customer survey. Not only did he apologize profusely, but he also returned my $125 and offered me $75 off any plumbing repairs if I use their service in the future. He also talked to the technician about what he did wrong. Mr. Purcelle's actions tell me that Roto Rooter is interested in providing good, fair service to their customers. I retract my 1-star review and give them 4 stars. They have an opportunity to earn the fifth star at my next service appointment.

We just recently replaced our furnace, Hvac compressor, hot water heater and put on a brand new deck in our back yard.  Everything went amazingly smooth.  Carlos was the upmost professional and very responsive to our questions and requests.  We ended up adding on additional work at the end because he did such a great job with the initial contract.  Without hesitation- I would recommend C&S to anyone looking to do any home improvement.  He does it all and does it all very well!

I recommend going elsewhere. I had a clogged kitchen sink. I called first thing in the morning and they responded quickly. But I am very unhappy with the service. First, the plumbers who provided the service could not get the snake to go around the corner. Other plumbers have not had this problem.

This led to a doubling of the price to put a Y-pipe at the end of the drainage pipe. But the best part is that after charging $500, the fix lasted less than 7 hours. From nothing more than doing dishes!

Called them to do irrigation system blowout which was fine but the tech didn't instill any confidence with his expertise - first he was video chatting with someone asking some question when at the backflow device location (I have a very standard setup) and second he wanted to let me know that since I had already taken out the backflow device, I shouldn't use the system as the irrigation water could flow back into the city supply contamination the water (yeah, the water will jump through the giant gap where the backflow device was). Undecided if I want to use them for future needs.

If I ever have the need for a handyman, I will only reach out to Luis for his services. He is very knowledgeable and reasonable with his prices. I needed an exhaust fan and didn't know which one to pick, Luis gave me great useful information so that I can purchase the right one for him to install. Thank you Luis!

Awesome doing business with Howard Plumbing.  Our water heater crapped out on a Monday night so I called 4 plumbers at 6:15AM on a Tuesday morning asking if they could replace my water heater.  Howard Plumbing called back right after they opened at 7:00am and asked if they could come around 12:30pm.  I was immensely pleased that they could do it that same day (cold showers suck).  Around 10:00am, I got a call from Howard asking if they could come early.  He showed up around 10:45 ready to go.  90 minutes or so later, I had a new water heater installed.  
The plumber, Patrick, was very knowledgeable and professional.  He worked quickly, happily explaining what he was doing as he worked (yes, I'm very curious and I ask a lot of questions). He cleaned up after his work too.  I'd highly recommend him.

My ejector pump downstairs got stuck. Jay gave me a quick fix over the phone and didn't charge.  He stated he'd come over ASAP if the fix didn't work.  The fix worked and saved the service fee cost.  Very responsive, professional and efficient.  I'll keep Jay on my call list.

I had a mystery leak, which the two very smart, very efficient, and very kind Hayden plumbers figured out briskly within the one-hour minimum. Hayden's is top-notch and was recommended by friends, so I expected them to be expensive, but they found the problem fast, because they're smart and efficient, so they actually cost MUCH less than the Jiffy estimate. I didn't get an estimate from them, but their reputation was so strong, I called them. They have a big enough staff to be available really fast, too. I will absolutely call them first from now on.  This is Paul C. Hayden and Sons I'm writing about.

I had a great experience with Excellence Plumbing! They called me within moments of sending a Yelp request for a quote. Steve talked me through what would likely be the cheapest options to address my plumbing issue, then found time to come over that afternoon. He remained communicative and was very friendly when he arrived with either his son or one of his other employees/colleagues, and they were a pleasure to have over. They fixed the problem within minutes, so I wound up just paying the rate for a call (which is more than I wanted to pay, but is on par with everyone else - I'm not sure if it would have been cheaper if I'd needed to do more work than was required in just the initial call). Definitely recommend, especially as so many plumbers in the area are a) back-scheduled for months, b) exorbitantly expensive, or c) only service MD and VA (can't tell you how many people I called first who told me they just won't come inside DC--super frustrating!).

Turns out when you have an old house you are bound to have a lot of plumbing issues. Well, we've had them all. Since my husband and I bought our house, we've had Shannon come out to do several smaller jobs - like 2 toilets and a shower - and some bigger jobs - replacing pipes to a shower, fixing an exploding garbage disposal drain, and helping completely rearrange the plumbing in our kitchen as we were gutting it for a reno. Once he fixes something, it stays fixed.

He really does a great job and I don't see any reason why you would call a different plumber.

I've had the Brian B Quick crew out to replace my HVAC and to fix and emergency leak in a bathroom sink. They're courteous, respond very quickly, and their rates are competitive from what I've seen. They do everything above board, make sure everything is well-cleaned after they are done with their work, and even went above and beyond on my HVAC repair when it was evident the original installation wasn't done correctly. Randy was super helpful in explaining everything to me, sent me pictures before and after and/or showed me the issues and the end result in person. Not only that, but they were able to fit me in for both my HVAC and plumbing WAY more quickly than anyone else.

Can't recommend them enough!

I can't recommend Brian more highly! He saved us a bunch of money and a lot of hassle that would have been replacing our main sewer pipe. Another company told us that we needed to replace it, but Brian said that we could take the roots out and get several more years out of it before we need to replace it. I am so happy that my husband and I didn't have to fork over a bunch to change the sewer now--we just had a baby and with me still not back at work, finances are tight! Brian and his employee worked diligently to get the roots cleaned out, at a very fair price. I will definitely be using Modern Plumbing Systems from now on for all of our plumbing needs!

Not only does my plumber of choice have to believe me when I say I wasn't the one who clogged the toilet, they also have to be affordable, trustworthy and fast-acting. I'm pumped to have found Nicholson, which gets a check in every category!

Nicholson gave me the best quote when I called around a few weeks ago for a non-functioning shower, even explaining the different price points that could arise if the problem was A, B, or C. A couple of the other companies I talked to told me that the problem was definitely going to be the most expensive one, never mentioning the cheaper possibilities Nicholson informed me of. Lo and behold, when Nicholson arrived and did some investigating, it was in fact the cheapest problem, and they fixed it for the price they'd quoted me.

When the shower started malfunctioning again a few weeks later, I called them up and they came out and fixed it up again immediately (it was just a loose screw), without ever suggesting they might charge me for their time.

I've always talked to the same person when I've called, which is great, and all the servicemen who've been over have been friendly, respectful of the house, and more than accepting of my crazy dog. Can't ask for more than that!

The team at DMV Plumbing has helped me several times and always come through. For me, I like to understand the issue, and DJ takes time to explain the problem and how he is planning to solve it. While the initial connection was based on a plumbing issue - problematic piping leading to leaking - they have helped me with electrical issues as well, including installation (ceiling fan, under-cabinet lighting, new GFCI outlet), as well as correcting a wiring issue presented from an earlier contractor.

Our A/C Unit quit working in the late afternoon on the 4th of July. It was hot and humid and the inside temperature of the house climbed quickly. I started to contact companies and left messages on answering machines and online forms. Followed up with several again in the morning and everyone was booked or I was on hold for too long. I called John Nugent & Sons and was able to speak to a live person in less than 2 minutes. Told them we had a senior citizen living with us and we were concerned about the heat. They told us they would fit us in between 8 am and noon. We received a call shortly before 9am stating the tech was on his way. Chung was very knowledgeable and professional. Checked the system and diagnosed the issue in munites. Within the hour the AC was back on. The technician does not oversell you because it's an urgent call. They offer great advice on future maintenance and tell you about things you should consider. I believe we will take out a service contract with this company. I like the way they conduct business and I appreciate them going out of their way to fit us on such short notice.

We can't say enough great things about this company. I sent a query on Yelp on a Sunday - I received a call within 2 hours. They were the only company on Yelp we contacted on Sunday that did get back to us that day, even though others stated 24/7 service. Cross Country Plumbing was able to go out the next day (Monday) to examine the problem and did the work on Tuesday. The owner is amazing - he's so responsive, kind and honest. We felt like we were dealing with a very reputable company who cared about doing good work and providing honest fees for the clients. We had an issue related to a corroded pipe that was leaking into our basement so it wasn't one of your run of the mill issues. They assessed the situation, were spot on with the solution and we could not have been happier in dealing with this company. Would highly recommend. They are going to be our first go-to company going forward for any plumbing needs we have.

3 Day Holiday Weekend massive pipe damage from the cold weather and these guys were at our home within 45 minutes from the call. Friday at 7:00 pm on a Holiday weekend, and we were not gouged with pricing. Actually, from the start, a LIVE person answered helped us and said the plumber would call within 30 minutes, it only took 12 minutes for him to call. Fred was the plumber that showed up and he was kind, professional, very precise on everything that needed to be done. We called 6 other Plumbers that are 24 hours on call emergency and no one could assist for almost 3 to 5 day! We had a massive water problem with the temperature being 9 degrees. ALL I HAVE TO SAY, PROFESSIONAL, HONEST, AND I WILL RECOMMEND. Thank you to your Company for delivering when no one else could and price was very fair.

Worst servicer!!  Elevated plumber came out to replace a water heater, which was covered by my home warranty.  So many issues!

1) Although this was considered an emergency, took over 2 weeks to get the new heater installed.
2) When it was installed, the tech completely botched the job, got water in the electric panel, got soldering on the floor, and cracked the transition step between my basement rooms.  
3) The water heater had to be fixed, took days for them to get someone out to repair it, again even though this was considered an emergency.
4) Even though the company (Dwayne) said they would take full responsibility for the damage, they refused to act on it. I had to file litigation through my home warranty.  Again - he said that they would fix it... it's more than two months later and they STILL have not repaired the damage.

All in all - TERRIBLE WORK, shady business practices, all around awful.  DO NOT USE THEM!
