Best Plumbing Services in District of Columbia
Cant say anything about his work since he didnt show up. Said he would come out. Then was delayed. Then no response and said maybe tomorrow!

Quality and professional service at a fair price. Showed up on-time each day as scheduled with a full crew who were very courteous and polite, ensuring furniture was covered and protected. Worked neat and clean, and did complete walk through when done to ensure complete satisfaction. Highly recommend and would use for all my future projects!

It was possible the job might have to be done in two installments. I got a quote which included a trip charge of not $100, 200 or 300, but $600! I contacted the owner, stating my opinion - that the charge was excessive - but apparently he didn't have the time or interest to respond and discuss it.
The job is clear now, and I would CERTAINLY have used this Company, but NOW will ABSOLUTELY use someone ELSE.

FANTASTIC 5+ star service! Having recently built a home from the ground up, I've interacted with at least 35+ different home-service providers in the last year and have never been compelled to write a review -- or been this pleased. Sami's is clearly an honestly run company and beyond refreshing to do work with. Rates were VERY reasonable and competitive with other service providers (believe me, I've done the field research on this).
TLDR Preview:If you're researching plumbers, you probably have a time sensitive issue and aren't browsing reviews for kicks. You just found your plumber -- good luck!
Longer version: Had a very significant leak coming through a garage wall, which I thought may have been our fault for not winterizing early enough. In theory, this would be an out-of-pocket expense and not covered by the builder, so contacted Sami's (based on Yelp reviews - thanks!). Got an immediate call back from Eric and a SAME DAY service visit (whaaat?! unheard of).
Turns out, it wasn't a frozen/burst pipe, but a builder-installation error.... grrrrr. Eric could have easily done the repair and taken my money, but instead strongly encouraged me to bring this to our builder's attention first, since they should be accountable and responsible for the repair. He even wrote some notes for me to share with them! I was so impressed by his honesty and quality of work -- would/will definitely use Sami's again!

Abe is amazing, he's a civil engineer by trade and obviously incorporates these skills into his plumbing work! I watched him do the entire job at my house after a pipe burst. He was meticulous, confident, clean, and very friendly. He showed up at our place on short notice on a Saturday morning! He's awesome and would call him again without question for my future plumbing needs!

Excellent service and professionalism! I needed my rooftop AC inspected and then replaced. Allied came out on very short notice, arrived on time both days, brought all the tools they needed (this had been a problem with other companies), assessed the problem, explained them so I understood and was willing to discuss options with me. The pricing was extremely competitive and the work was done quickly and competently. I will be using Allied for all my future needs.

Axel was punctual and answered all my questions. He did a great job installing my shower. This is the person you'll want to have as your plumber. Pricing was fair & I was very pleased with $50 military discount as well. I will definitely be hiring him for future plumbing needs.

Very knowledgeable and professional consultation and repair - I am really impressed and highly recommend!
1. Extremely responsive and flexible. I appreciated how quick the owner was able to schedule a date and come at the time frame they proposed. Within less the a week we had a quote and our sink fixed!
2. Fair pricing and sticks to the quote given - no surprises.
3. Was kind enough to take the time to inspect other repairs we wanted and provide us details and quotes on the spot. Above and beyond customer service!
Definitely hope to use this business again.

Fast and efficient service and strongly recommend! This is the second time we've called them for a plumbing issue. They are our go to plumbing company!

Had an emergency plumbing repair that needed to be done on a Sunday. Not only were they able to come out, they showed up early. They were extremely professional and polite. They had the problem fixed quickly and correctly. I really cannot day enough about how polite and professional this company is, from the person who took our call to the repair men. Excellent experience. Will definitely use them again.

We had Crown Plumber install a new bathroom toilet for us a few months ago and were very pleased. Yesterday he installed a whole house water filter for us and it's great! Pricing is very fair, he does excellent work and is super nice. Highly recommend.

While they did a great job on the first repair, we asked them to come back to fix our dishwasher and they ended up breaking it worse. They need to stick with what they're good at.

They would not provide an estimate over the phone and then quoted me a price that should be considered highway robbery. The tech showed up with no mask and wanted 4 bags just to put in a garbage disposal. And another 4 bags to replace pvc pipe and p-trap... craziness

Received an estimate for repairing and replacing outside drain by breaking concrete and repairing pipe up to 5ft into the home as needed. Estimate also including back-filling with concrete up to the previous level. I authorized the ESTIMATE OF SERVICE and the credit card was charged by the vendor 3 days before the work was scheduled and almost a full week before it was actually performed due to rain. After contacting vendor 2 days after the rains to obtain a schedule for the repair, I was advised that it would be the next day but the time estimate didn't seem certain. After having someone wait all day for the service, I advised the vendor that if repair wasn't performed by the rescheduled date, a new plumber would be contacted.
The work was done on the rescheduled date after 5pm. The actual repair required only replacing outside drain and 6-12 inches of pipe. SIGNIFICANTLY less work than estimated. When I inquired as to a discount for the service that was performed, I was advised that there are no discounts because the scope of work was with the anticipation of having to go further. I advised the vendor that the auto repairman doesn't charge me for what he could have done when the work turns out to be something different, and that I was disappointed, but learned a lesson. To that I received no response. Had I been there to monitor the work, I would have asked about revising the estimate and had I known there would be no change in the amount, I would have had them dig out and replace the full 5 feet of pipe to get my money's worth.
I advised the person who recommended this vendor that I was disappointed and would never use or recommend them for future work. She indicated that she had never received a negative response from any recommendation and I told her that I guess someone had to be the 1st.
The shame is that had the work been more than estimated, you can guarantee the vendor would have required additional payment. But since the service was less, I as the customer, am SOL. Sadly, not even the 10% discount from the vendors website was offered as a concession.
I would love to retain business cards and request or recommend repeat business by the service providers I've used, but after having dealt with 5 contractors in 5 years. I have yet to find 1 who doesn't do sloppy work or sloppy business.
This is my review. Take it for what it's worth.

First experience with this company as I tried to hire them for some minor electrical work. My impression is that this company is garbage, has no integrity, lacks any accountability. After they called me multiple times to reconfirm my appointment I expect prompt and good service. Opposite of what I experienced. I was basically no showed for the 4 hour appointment window. They called once in the middle to notify me The tech was wrapping up the current job and I was next. I didn't receive another call for another hour and a half at which point I called to check if they were still coming. It was a only at that time I was informed that they were short handed because someone called out of work and that the tech was very behind with no ETA for when they could come. This was 10 minutes before the end of my 4 hour window. When I let them know that I could not wait and had to cancel I really got no sympathy. The property I needed work for was not my primary home. I asked if there was a discount or credit I could get for my wasted gas money, wasted time, and the money I had to pay for a babysitter for my kids. All I was offered was waiver of the appt fee of $69 which gets credit back to any work done anyways. It was basically nothing and in my opinion a half heart attempt retain my business. I was out $250 and didn't even have someone show up. Don't waste your time and money with this garbage operation! Plenty of other reputable businesses out there that take more pride in their work and word.

I was forced to go with this company because it's the company used by my Home Warranty.
A week in advance, they scheduled an appointment for a 3 hour window on a Thursday. Instead, they showed up Wednesday, and then didn't show up during their 3 hour window on Thursday.
After they already wasted 3 hours of my time, I called in. The lady admitted it was her mistake, and they tried to schedule a new 3 hour window the next week. I asked to schedule a specific time so I don't lose another 3 hours due to another one of their mistakes. They got rude on the phone and then said they can't guarantee a specific time- after we already learned that they're not in the business of meeting any of their own guarantees anyways.

I called Len the Plumber for several different plumbing needs. The person who answered the phone seemed very nice (I later found out it was the office supervisor). Everything seemed fine until I asked that the plumber wear a mask as there is an elderly person in the house who has some existing health conditions and hasn't been able to receive the COVID vaccine because of a reaction. At that point, I was told they would not come because of the risk and liability. When I assured her that the person would be in a completely different part of the house, and we would be doing a thorough sanitizing after the plumber left, her response was the same. Gee Len, you run a great business when it serves your needs! I will make sure that I spread the word about Len the Plumber not working where elderly people are involved.
