Great work, great guy.

We knew we needed an electrician when smoke started to come out of one of our light switches.  After removing the old switch and capping the wires, I started looking for an electrician who could replace the switch and do some other stuff that I had been putting off for a while.  I reached out to some friends for recommendations, and Brian was one of them.  I left him a message and he returned my call within a day, and a couple days later he came out to look at the work that needed to be done.  He wrote up an estimate, tweaked it a few times to reflect some minor changes, and then we were all set.

He came out today to take care of it all.  Among the things he did was replace a clunky old ceiling fan with a dim light, exchange out all the fan and light switches with new LED-compatible controls, replace the energy-burning halogen hall lights, upgrade the wiring in the garage, and install a new exterior outlet.  He arrived precisely on time and got everything done inside of five hours, and left the place clean and neat.  Outstanding work all around, and the cost of his expertise was very good.

Brian is just a nice guy all around - very cheerful and chatty, and always happy to explain what he's doing.  It's also great to hire a local - he was raised here in the south bay and even went to the same schools as my kids.  Excellent experience - highly recommended.

Brian installed some recessed lighting in my living room this month. His estimate was reasonable, his work was solid, and he was reliable.

I would use him again and recommend his work to my friends and family in the area.

Brian was awesome. I called about stripped screwholes in an electrical box, thinking I'd have to replace the entire box, which would've been a pain. He took the time to talk me through the problem, quote me over the phone, and even stopped by same-day to take a look at the issue.

Funny enough, he came up with a quicker, infinitely cheaper solution, and solved it for me. Not only that, but I even learned a nifty new trick to fixing stripped screwholes that I'll definitely use in the future. Can't recommend him enough.

Brian was a great local electrician, he came and did a free consultation on electrical problems with our lights, and found one didn't need to be replaced, and then came by quickly to replace the others after we bought replacement lights. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and conscious of fair pricing for his services.

Now our kitchen and bathroom shine brighter (and happier) than ever.

To start off, I have plumbed my own house, weld often and do a fair amount of woodworking.  I feel like electrical is wizardry.

Brian and Jeff did a 4 day job at my house (kitchen redo, garage redo with 220, panel upgrade) and must say I am 100% happy.

I heard of Brian from my friend who is a building inspector with a South Bay town. Brian did my friend's house during a major remodel and if my friend hired Brian, I would too.

Brian and Jeff were super courteous, friendly and professional. I was so confident with them that I actually left my key with them while I was at work.  The work was done perfectly and Brian was very good at including me in the progress. I am a hard critic and I must say HIRE BW ELECTRIC!!!

The bottom line is the work was done RIGHT and proper.

We found Brian of BW Electric through Yelp. How could we not go with Brian given his high rating. Glad we did. Not only did he do an excellent job for us, he was courteous, friendly, and professional.

So what did he do for us? To begin with, he installed one picture spotlight and 6 LED lights in our family room and replaced 4 traditional overheads with LED lights. What made the task challenging is that the family room is below an upstairs bedroom which means he didn't have the luxury of an attic to run the wiring. Even so, he did the job with a small amount of cuts/holes in the ceilings and walls, something I really appreciate because that means less plastering and less painting.

In addition to the family room, Brian also installed 4 LED lights in the master bedroom and replaced 3 traditional overheads with LED lights.All of this was done in one day as he had told us up front and when he left, he left the house clean. Gotta love it when a job gets done on time and you don't have to clean up afterwards!

Not only was the job of high quality, it was also fairly priced. Yes, we had another electrician give us a quote for the same job and it was quite a bit more. Brian was also very patient in educating us on LED lighting. LED lighting is not like your regular lighting and requires different considerations.

It was a pleasure to work with Brian and we will definitely use him again in the future.

Brian is very honest and has a great work ethics. Which you don't
see anymore theses days. He stayed true to his bids and made sure
the work was done safe and up to code. I would recommend to a
friend. The only ding I can give him is you have to call to confirm him
the day before. If you do you will be fine.

Working with Brian was great. Knowledgeable, insightful and a great sense of humor ^_^. We knew when we bought that the electrical needed work. Brian quickly sized up the situation, provided a reasonable estimate for time and money - and did great work! We value him as much for the great work he did as the insights he brought to our project e.g. a great media room setup, future-proofing us for a endless pool and a tesla plug (... maybe the next car).

Brian came out to install a level 2 charger in our garage. He was personable and creative on how to use our 30 year old breaker box and run the conduit. The end result looks great. My friend paid more for a guy to spray wasps.

Brian at BW Electric was very responsive and on time for all appointments that were scheduled.  Both Brian and Jeff quickly and efficiently installed two ceiling fans/lights in my children's rooms in under 3 hours.  They were both very considerate and helped to educate me on some of the nuances and safety considerations regarding the existing wiring they found.  I wouldn't hesitate to call Brian up in the future for more work.

Brian is awesome! A bunch of lights and outlets weren't working, and he fixed everything cleanly, explaining what he was doing at each step. His pricing is also fair. I would definitely call him again if I need help.

Called Brian for a weird gizmo at my house (circuit breaker issues). He called me that night to schedule an appointment. He was very professional: at the time of the appointment, he called a few minutes ahead and came at exactly the time he said he would.
When he came in, he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it.
I found those guys to be very friendly, professional and the price was fair.

Super nice and helpful. Our power went out overnight, I called Brian in the morning and he showed up within 20 minutes of us chatting over the phone. He was very meticulous in his diagnosis of the issue, and gave very good recommendations as to what we have to (and don't have to) worry about in the future. He fixed our power w/in 30 mins and his price was very reasonable.

I highly recommend BW Electric. Pricing is fair, the work is superb, and they were very responsive and on time. I had some goofy problems in the kitchen, in a 53 year old house, and Brian had some very creative solutions to an old-wiring scenario. An electrician you can trust.

This is the second time Bryan has helped out our family. The first time our daughter called him to help out her grandmother's electricial issue last year. We were impressed with his care, professionalism, and time he took to fix the problem. This year we are trying to upgrade in small ways so we can sell our house. We called Bryan for an estimate. Once we settled on the job and when it could be done, Bryan & Jeff showed up promptly and worked like pros to complete the job. He was tidy, efficient, and didn't mess around. We had Brian replace two ceiling fans in our kitchen, and install a chandelier on a covered porch.  He did a great job with the fans - they look and work beautifully.
The chandelier presented quite a challenge, including previously non-existent wiring that ran through an attic and the installation of a new electrical box and switch.  Brian did it all flawlessly.  He methodically thought everything out, and was very knowledgeable and resourceful. We couldn't be happier with the outcome. Brian was a true pleasure to work with and he will definitely be our go-to electrician from now on!

I've used Brian on upgrading my electrical to 220, replacing an electric panel, installing GFI's, upgrading bathroom electrical with motion sensors, and installing a new baseboard heater.  He is easy to work work, reasonably priced, and always does what he says.  I highly recommend BW Electric.

I was having a problem with the electrical panel's circuit breakers. Brian returned my call promptly and then arrived 15 min later.  He fixed the problem quickly, and he checked a few other things just to make sure everything was in good working order.  Very reasonable!  Everything is working GREAT!  I would definitely call him again.

I hired Brian solely on the Yelp recommendations.  They are all right on.  Brian is a nice guy, very responsive and reliable (something not usually found in tradesmen.)  He will call you back and he will show up.  

 We had him install 10 recessed lights and a ceiling in a lofted upstairs bedroom that had no crawl space; consequently, he and his partner had to do this work from the outside while we were having the roof repaired.   Brian worked with the roofers -- who tore off that section of the roof so that he and his partner could install the lights from above and not tear up our ceiling fishing wires across the room.  They did a great job -- the lights are perfectly aligned, they didn't tear up the ceiling to do it, and Brian and Jeff left the room cleaner than they found it.

I would hire Brian again in a heartbeat.

Brian is a professional. I got my house rewired and he did a pretty good job. I had previous heard good reviews about him, hence asked him for a quote. I got quotes from a couple of other people. Brian's quote was in between the other two quotes. The lower quote I got was from a electrician whom I did not trust too much. He said he cannot do permits and what not. Hence, I went with Brian. Brian gave me a list of things he was going to do and he was very thorough. He finished the work in a couple of weeks, got necessary permits+approvals. It was nice working with him. I am very happy with his work. He left a couple of things unfinished but he promised to come back after I move into my house.

I called them up on the Monday of memorial day weekend asking when they could have someone out for a ceiling fan instillation after giving me an estimate I asked is it possible to be done today he said no earliest they could it is Thursday I thanked him and as i was about to hang up he called me a dickhead definitely will not be using him.

Brian and his assistant were just finishing a job and were able to come by today within one hour of my call. The source of my problem took some effort to locate. The men worked efficiently and methodically and explained to me what they were doing. I understand enough about wiriing to know they were doing the right things. The price was what they had quoted me on the phone. I found them to be friendly and professional, and would be happy to use them in the future.

Brian was great--was willing to work around my busy work schedule. He was also super knowledgeable, helpful, and fast. Really pleasant attitude and reasonable price. Would def. recommend him!

Brian and assistant came out to run a dedicated circuit to my microwave (previous owners hacked in a plug - eek!). They were super prompt, gave me a price quote upfront, and stuck right to it. He even programmed the time on the microwave once it was working. Thanks, Brian!

Brian was recommended by a friend, and we are very happy to have had his help with the installation of a ceiling fan for our toddler's bedroom. His quote was very reasonable (a quote from another electrician was ~30% more - and enough to make me procrastinate about it for almost 6 months.)  Upon calling Brian, he immediately responded, and set up an appointment for the next business day. When he did arrive at our home, he was on time, courteous, efficient, professional,  friendly and honest. I would definitely recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Brian solved a problem we had in our 70-year-old Mountain View house - lights were blinking and sometimes cycling on and off. Some of the wiring is original, and some was added-on in the '70s or '80s, with obsolete Zinsco breakers and panels. I had replaced a breaker and opened up wall boxes and light connections to try to fix it - no luck. Brian troubleshot the problem and isolated it to 1) the breaker I had replaced was no good 2) some downstream breakers in a sub-panel were also no good. Brian was very patient, and did not get frustrated when things didn't work right away, but kept after it until the problem was resolved. Thanks much for excellent work, Brian.
