We called them in the morning and they were able to respond in a very timely fashion.
We had to have a weather head replaced and had to co-ordinate with PG&E, they were very accommodating.
They did excellent work, although a little on the pricey side. We would use them again.

Their license is online and they had all five star reviews. They are practically around the corner from the place that I am selling that needed some repairs prior to close. They were very nice and changed the date due to the storming weather I didn't want to drive almost 200 miles in and were right on time. They fixed everything they were supposed to, and I even threw in one more plug to fix. The price was reasonable (it was a little more work than any of us had anticipated ( electrical box too, fixed in minutes!) so the cost went up slightly, but expected and reasonable. They were very efficient and fast. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

We have so many things going on during our renovation - exterior electrical, interior electric, HVAC, plumbing, demolition... It was a giant relief choosing to work with Ben and his team at Sepanta Electric. It was one of the few things that took away our stress rather than added to it! They handled upgrading our exterior main panel (and added a subpanel). After working with many contractors and getting various quotes, we chose and were happy with Sepanta for these reasons:

- Quote was reasonable. Wasn't too cheap or too expensive. Fell right within what we expected to spend on the project. The proposal was professional.
- Ben was very easy to communicate with and responsive via email and phone. He was always on time, showed up when he said he would, and followed up when he said he would.
- Scope of work was very clear, and was completed within the estimated time. For us, this included the labor, materials, and permitting.

Even after payment, Ben offered to come back to create some temporary solutions for us to make things easier during the renovation. Really appreciate this, as some people will just go radio silent once you've paid them. I highly recommend Sepanta Electric.

I recently used Ben and Sepanta Electric for three jobs at my house: install a large 8ft-tall chandelier, another large, fragile fixture, and install two additional outlets in a pantry and a closet.

I highly recommend Ben and Sepanta. He responded quickly on Yelp, came by the same day, and gave me an estimate the next day. His estimate was the best of three, so I scheduled him.

He showed up at the agreed upon time with his assistant. The job was difficult, and I requested some changes midway he could have charged me for, but he was gracious and didn't. He did a great job. On top of that he's friendly and courteous.

Ben is great! I scheduled an estimate, and during the estimate, he helped me solve two outstanding questions on the spot even though he was just there for a free estimate: He figured out that I had a light switch in the garage hidden behind the fridge that controlled the garage light I had been trying to figure out how to control. He also figured out that one of the switches I wanted to replace had Romex wire with a neutral wire, and the other was knob and tube without a neutral wire. This enabled me to replace one of the switches with a wifi switch myself thus saving me money.

Now keep in mind all this is without charging one cent. That's the kind of guy that Ben is - he is happy to help and impart quick knowledge, even though he would have been perfectly in his rights to include troubleshooting the garage light and identifying the wiring in the switches in his estimate rather than helping me without charging me.

On top of that, his estimate came in lower than other estimates I got, and he was able to complete the job by himself in five hours. He installed a new fan box and ceiling fan, replaced two switches and made them wifi, removed an old bathroom exhaust fan and installed a new bathroom exhaust fan, installed a new outlet in the attic and drilled holes to run charger cables out to security cameras that I had pre-mounted, ran the cables, connected the cameras, and caulked up the holes afterwards. He also inspected the attic electrical and closed up 4 open junction boxes. Two other companies I had gotten estimates from wanted to charge me for two guys over two days to get this work done.

So basically Ben is friendly, generous with his time and knowledge, and really affordable. He is super experienced, skilled, and fast - those go together I think. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Ben came to give me an estimate to upgrade my electrical service panel. He explained what the project would involve. The project would require PG&E to replace underground conduit which would be very expensive $5-$10 grand and another $4 grand for the service panel.
He would not recommend an upgrade. He also gave me some good advice on my future projects.
Although I didn't hire them I appreciate Ben and his advice and wouldn't hesitate to call Sepanta if needed in the future.

I had an emergency situation with my sump pump and also some mystery sockets that were not working.

Ben got here super quickly, he figured out where the short was coming from, and why some of my sockets mysteriously stopped working and prevented my home from flooding. He quoted me quickly and then showed up promptly and explained everything.

Ben came by to replace 2 pendants above my countertop. 2 stars for being punctual.

Unfortunately the pendants were damaged so we couldn't move forward with the job.

Here are the reasons for my dissatisfaction: Contrary to other reviews, which state that Ben was respectful and wore booties in their home, he did not wear booties in mine (during pandemic time) and he stepped his dirty sneaker on top of my clean countertop. He also appeared rushed/ irritable when I was trying to decide on the pendant height.

Then after placing the old pendant back he charged me $150 for 30 mins of his time. This is contrary to other reviews that said he didn't charge them for coming out to do a simple job.

Ultimately, I won't be calling this vendor back.

Cannot say anything more positive about Ben's service as an electrician. Contacted him in the morning and he was able to come by later at end of the day. Even texted to say he was running late. He did a really thorough diagnosis of the outlet issue I had in the kitchen (even went into the crawlspace to assess the wiring). I actually have a go-to electrician, but he is usually booked up for a month. That said, I used my Yelp app to request a quote for a small electrical type of project.

As soon as I clicked on Request a Quote on my app, I noticed that Sepanta Electric was tagged with a Responds in about 10 minutes message. In my mind I was thinking there is NO way that is accurate. Low and behold, Ben from Sepanta Electric sent me a text requesting my address within 5 minutes. If that isn't FAST, I don't know what is!

We began to exchange a few texts, and Ben agreed to swing by to give me an accurate estimate. My project was to add an additional outlet in my garage, which would be used to charge a vacuum. I had a few moderate electrical repairs/replacements that needed to be done and I had a very clear vision of what I wanted. I bid the job out to a couple of electricians on yelp but they either didn't seem to care or charged too much. Then I called Ben at Sepanta. Within minutes of explaining my vision, Ben had a plan that reduced worked time, made the process cleaner and more tidy in the yard and saved about a half of a day's work. As you can imagine, that saved work time made his fee so much less than his competitors.

The most impressive thing was that I had a bad connection somewhere that was not allowing two connected lights to work. I had THREE electricians total look at it, with no solution, before Ben saw it. Ben started looking at it and I walked out of the room...I walked back in 10 mins later and he was putting the outlet back on. Because of the previous 3 electricians having no success, I said, Can't figure it out? And he replied No, I already fixed it.

Ben and Sepanta Electric are reliable and efficient and I will never hesitate calling them.

Ben from Sepanta came in last week to check out our EV charger. After troubleshooting he figured out that the issue was with the charger. He replaced it with another charger that we had. His work was meticulous. He cleaned up and tidied everything making the experience great.

Based on his performance we had him come in this weekend to run an additional outlet, and replace the exhaust fan in our bathroom. Once again he did a great job.

Ben is not cheap but he is on time, is very methodical, does the job perfectly and leaves the work area clean. I would highly recommend him.

Response time was great, was able to schedule an appointment within a few days. Wanted a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed for EV charging, and was not pressured with any upselling of any sort. Installation itself was speedy and well done with no issues so far.

Only criticism I have is that while on time for the work evaluation, Ben was a half hour late from the quoted installation window of 11am-1pm. Normally this wouldn't have been a big deal, but my in-laws were visiting and we had a lunch reservation that I had to miss due to the timing. I seem to be in the minority when it comes to this, so I would count it more as a one-off. I'd still recommend Sepanta to others, and for any future projects will most likely work with them again!

We hired Ben to perform major electrical upgrades to our 100 year old home including swapping out an old fuse box with new breakers and adding a second breaker box to support a new guest house in the back as well as adding a new Tesla charging station. AMAZING job. I had 2 sets of track-lighting in my kitchen that suddenly died in a very complex pre-1970's wiring system. I made the mistake of calling an inferior electrician (PDO) prior who came over and just tapped the system and the switch to see if the current was flowing and told me it was the ballast, assuring me it was just a simple job of switching that out. Well...no...total misdiagnosis, but took my money easily enough. I had taken apart the entire system to expose the wiring, so after texting the technician from Sepanta Electric what was going on, he stated he knew exactly what to do and gave me a very reasonable quote. He came in, did the repair AND installed the lighting good as new in less than 45 minutes. He insisted on taking LESS than what we quoted, but I was so grateful I just couldn't pay him less than what he was worth (and IMHO that was twice as much for the expertise and peace of mind). I seriously cannot speak or recommend Sepanta more highly. THIS is your go to guy or any electrical needs in the Bay Area.

In the midst of all that is going on right now, with the pressures of maintaining school and work from home - this morning the room that is home to our modem/router and AC unit lost all power. I've had worked with a dozen of contractors, Ben is undoubtedly the most honest, professional, capable and reliable. He answered my questions quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. He's punctual. While he examined the whole house, he informed me about electrical issues and potential hazards. Because of some poorly wired outlets and switches, he had to check almost every one of them in the house to find out the root cause of the problem. He's very patient. Although it took extra long time, he didn't give up and he was able to get all the problems resolved. He charged me the previously agreed flat rate. I hope I have known him earlier!

Requested the Yelp quote feature and Ben was one of the quickest to respond. Not ONLY was he the fastest to respond, but he gave a quote which he stuck to once the work was complete, and came out to fix the problem within a few hours. Fixed my breaker fuses... In pouring rain on a Saturday no less. 5 star service all around!

I had a bunch of outlets fail due to a short of some kind. Couldn't figure out the problem on my own, and I needed to solve the problem quickly, so I reached out to several companies for quotes. Ben from Sepanta responded immediately and was able to work me into his schedule with only a couple hours lead time. He showed up promptly and was very courteous and professional. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem quite quickly after testing a few things. He even discovered and fixed a few unsafe wires in the fuse box. I would recommend this company for fast, efficient, and professional residential electrician services.

Replied very promptly; asked a few questions and then came back with a definite quote (which was quite reasonable). In contrast with other contractors who wanted to come out and look at he job (this was a very standard job of installing some lighting fixtures, the details of which could easily be communicated by responding to a few questions). Came promptly, wore a mask (it's COVID time), did the work efficiently and professionally. Was quite pleasant. Explained special features of lighting fixture. Would definitely use him again.

Awesome job and quick to respond. We had a major issue with our circuit box (didn't know it at the time we called) and only half our house had power. Ben came out, assessed the issue, and managed to get us back up and running by the next day when we got the parts we needed. What a relief! Contacted Sepanta on a Sunday to install two new wired boxes for new ceiling fans in two rooms. He responded quickly and was able to come out on a Sunday within one hour of contact. He came out and did a quick job of installing the new boxes for the ceiling fans. Great response and very professional. Thank you for accomadating us at the last minute.

Outlets were not working in my house. After basic troubleshooting -
checking breakers, GFCI's, etc. - still could not figure out what's going on. Sent out requests via Yelp to get help the next day. Most could not help for days or even weeks. Sepanta wrote back, and we scheduled them coming by from 10-11AM the next day. They came at 11AM - coming within the stated window is important to me. They figured out the problem (one bad outlet), replaced it, and were gone in an hour. $250 - a tad expensive, but I paid for the fast service. They were pleasant guys, who didn't mind as I watched them - so next time I have more troubleshooting techniques. The lesson cost me, but now I know more. In any case, I recommend them.

Ben was awesome. He came out today, a holiday, and gave me a free estimate. His price was fair. He worked quickly and efficiently. I had him install a 240 volt outlet in my garage for an ev charger.
Very nice gentleman and friendly.
English is not his first language but he has 17 years of electric experience. He knows his stuff.

I asked for an estimate using clear language and received an immediate response from the owner of, Hi; no further communication was received. It has been a day of waiting, so now this review exists.

I believe that this business quickly replies in this manner to abuse the Yelp! response time and response rate mechanism and cause it to provide inaccurate data. Do not believe this metric for this business, it is based on falsehood.

I am not interested in doing business with someone who isn't willing to compete with others in their industry on an even playing field. Please keep this in mind when considering choosing them

He came by to fix my ring door bell. He helped me locate the transformer, changed some wires to increase voltage, and then also help fixed the chime so it worked with ring. Was quick efficient and professional. Very happy with the result - it works now!

Had Ben install a Ring floodlight above my garage, which had an existing motion sensor connected to the exterior garage lights. He installed the floodlight no problem, very quickly, and with no interference to the existing motion sensor and lights. Ben is extremely professional and courteous. We had a home inspector trip a circuit in our house during the process of putting our house up for sale. It happened one day before our listing went live....very stressful. We heard a click so we thought it involved a GFI outlet, but we could not find it! We called Sepanta Electric. Ben arrived less than two hours after we called. He spent at least an hour opening outlets and tracing our circuits. Ultimately, he found a GFI outlet hidden behind a blank plate. Get this: He didn't want to charge us since nothing needed to be fixed! We were speechless. He spent the time, found the problem, put everything back to it's original state and we paid him against his protests. Ben was prompt, courteous, thorough and beyond fair. What a rare experience. If you need electrical work, call these guys. You can trust them and they do great work.

I had a great experience with Sepanta Electric. The other day I needed an electrician for an emergency situation and they were able to send me an electrician within a couple of hours. There was a little work involved but still required an expert. He finished the whole thing in 5 minutes or so and had to use some material too. But at the end he didn't take anything for his time and expertise, and said maybe next time. I'm sure there'll be a next time.

I called Ben on a Sunday morning. He answered and said he could be at my home within 2 hours. Shortly after I received a text confirming the appointment and price. With a quick conformation reply he was right on time. I had a breaker pop and with in minutes he had isolated the line. With a quick plug and play he found the short. I was impressed with his accuracy and efficiency. He was done in in 30 minutes leaving my house in better shape than when he arrived. I was happy that he didn't try to sell me anything but what was needed. Sad to say i never want to see him again, but if I have an electrical issue, I will be calling him immediately. 5 stars for being on time and being prepared. Thanks Ben.
