MTZ Plumbing sent a uniformed plumber very quickly free of charge to detect the leak. He arrived on-time. Other plumbers came and didn't find any leak. With a puddle of water on the ground and the drywall damp, there was obviously a leak... MTZ Plumbing was not afraid by the challenge and finally found the leak: I saw myself the water pouring when they were able to replicate the problem. They proposed a few options, one for $200 and another for $1,200. I picked the cheaper one and got an appointment scheduled for the fix. The day after, another uniformed plumber showed up on-time and fixed the issue. No leak anymore. The insurance sent an expert a few days later to assess the damages. The expert confirmed the drywall were dried.
Pro's: showed up, on-time, quick, sober, clean, professional, licensed, good communication
Con's: no competitor was able to issue an estimate since they were not able to detect the leak, I cannot compare.

I emailed for a quote. No response. I called and was promised a quote upon sending pictures. Sent several pictures and No response.

This is a long overdue review.   My whole house was backed up a day before 4th of July this year - the clog was somewhere in the street.  I called several plumbers on friday night July  3rd trying to find anyone who would come out that night because I assumed no one was working on the 4th saturday and I would be stuck with family over, and BBQ, and no working plumbing.  

Several of the guys I called could not make it friday night.  Others were not avail sat and one guy who was avail to come sat morning gave me a very expensive quote.  So I decided to wait and try again sat morning. Called a few more people and luckily found Henthorn.

Matt came over when he said he would, gave me a very reasonable quote, and worked to clear the line which took a 200ft snake.  He normally worked saturday so didn't charge me any premium for it being a holiday  - he easily could have.   That told me right away what type of person he was.   Then when he ran the snake - it didn't clear the clog - he tried a second time, then a third - I think it took the 3rd  time to start to clear  - and I believe he ran it again just to make sure everything drained.   It was looking like it would not clear at first but he kept trying.  It probably took him 3x as long as he planned but he kept at it until he got the job done.

I was so impressed with his determination to get it done and satisfy his customer and the fact that he politely asked if I could pay him a little more for the extra time.   At the end what I paid him was still 30% less than the quote I got friday night from another person who was clearly taking advantage of the situation.

Overall, his service, cost, quality, and attitude were outstanding.   If I could give 6 stars I would.

My beef with Phil at Garrison Plumbing is that IMO he has an unprofessional work ethic. I made an appt for a small plumbing job (replacing a section of copper pipe on a water heater) for a couple days out..I got a text from his employee changing the appt to a couple weeks out..no biggie. So a couple of weeks rolls by and on the day they were supposed to show up..nothing. Texted Phil about the missed appt...nothing, no text back just nothing. If a biz owner can't even communicate why they didn't show up for a job they scheduled, then I don't want to do business with them. YMMV.

We had a few things installed for our new home - new Toto toilets, shower valve, bathtub faucet, kitchen faucet. They came in person for an estimate. Communication was very prompt and courteous. All items were professionally installed and even went beyond expectation. Date of completion were a bit delayed but were due to the missing part problems and were solved soon after we got the replacement parts. Overall very pleased with the service done and will definitely recommend.

We used Smart Plumbers to replace an old water heater that suddenly sprang a leak. They did a wonderful job and were a highlight to a rather trying day.

We have used several plumbing services in the area and Smart Plumbers was by far the best. In particular, the price was reasonable, the quality of the work was high and I was impressed with their attention to detail.  I felt that they were giving us honest appraisals of the work needed, and never felt like we were being sold unnecessary services.

I also want to call out our plumber, Yohvany, for his persistence and hard work and for his positive attitude.  The job had a couple of setbacks that required him to stay longer.  Without asking, he put in the extra work and remained cheerful.  I also appreciated the advice he gave us about other plumbing issues in our house.

I have already recommend Smart Plumbers to others and will not hesitate to use them in future.

I renovated two bathrooms in my SOMA Loft recently.  Although I had initial issues, I was very impressed about how the owner, Jonathan, really stepped in and went ABOVE and BEYOND. Sean was the new plumber assigned to my project and he was amazing! Brandon, the Project Mgr, was very helpful throughout the process.  This is an amazing team who helped me through two major bathroom renovations and they really are exceptionally good at what they do.

We are very satisfied with the communication and cost of service with Team Contractors. They were very kind and generous to help us out two days in a row with two separate issues during the holidays! The beginning of the year was extremely hectic but it was comforting to have the problems dealt with by a contractor we could trust.

Julio was fast, reliable, and kind. His crew performed the job extremely fast, efficiently and professionally.  They cleaned up their work and patched up all the drywall they needed to cut. Their prices were also significantly lower than all the larger plumbing companies we got quotes from, and stayed competitive against smaller plumbers' prices. We're very happy we went with them.

OMG! What a find! Honest, personable, knowledgeable, reliable and quick to respond. After a sewer backup we were told by another reputable company we needed all lines replaced to the tune of 20k!! They seemed so pushy we felt we needed to get a second opinion and so thankful we did! After lengthy inspection, climbing on the roof  and thorough camera inspection , George concluded it was just a simple clog that had needed to be cleaned. George explained every step and what we were seeing on the camera. Wow! Being an old house there will always be a need for a good plumber and so grateful we found this wonderful tradesman. Don't use anyone else...he is the best!

First time reviewing a business on Yelp, just had to give this business my positive feedback and gratitude. I had a fast leaking pipe under my house and called Plumbing Solutions based on their Yelp reviews. I actually called 2 other businesses first and at one there was no answer and the other got voicemail so decided to try PS. I'm so glad I did. Joe picked up quickly and sent his specialist the next morning first thing. Andres showed up promptly and was super courteous, respectful and a pleasure to work with. He was able to crawl under my house in very muddy and tight circumstances and fix the problem, and in less than an hour I had running water again. Thank you PS for the fix, I will definitely use you in the future for any plumbing needs and highly recommend you and Andres!

Lee and Dakota were awesome!! I called and they happened to be finishing a job nearby. I told them we had a shower that was now giving only very hot or very cold water. The pipes used to rattle and thump loudly while shower water was turned on. I am embarrassed to say that they had been rattling for many months before the water temp got too intolerable to deal with! I was dreading finding a plumber. But Lee said over the phone what the problem probably was. He and Dakota arrived, quickly took apart the price/fister fixture, found a tiny plastic piece that was broken and showed me another cylinder piece that was slightly bent, then they went to a nearby supply store, got new parts, fixed our problem... all in less than 2 hours! I highly recommend them! They also said that the type of fixture we have is an older kind (about 11 years old) and actually easier to repair that the newer models, which break sooner and are more expensive to repair/replace.

We live in Santa Rosa and discovered that our neighbors' (larger) home was using half the heating energy as ours for the same heating settings.  Our heating system was installed in 1995, so it was time to head to Costco.  We first met with Robert (with Bellows), and he did a thorough look-see with our home, including an analysis of where our energy hits might be.  He looked at possible factors: crawl space between-stud insulation, ducting, heating system, walls, windows, infiltration, and ceiling.  We worked together back and forth through six or seven quotes, and finally decided that the following Lennox system would work best:  indoor air handler with gas furnace (96% efficient),  outdoor heat pump, and EcoBee TStat (I purchased this at Home Depot).    Please note--we got a second quote from a well known local company, and up front, they said we just cannot beat the price you will get from Costco.
It is my opinion that CA will always have natural gas at a better cost than equivalent energy for electric.  However, a heat pump (electric) for winter time heating is almost 3x more efficient than blowing air across metal from gas flames or electrical elements, but being that using more electricity will bump us into a higher electricity energy cost (natural gas about 10c/kWh equiv, our current electricity now  18c/kWh, and probably 30c/kWh next tier with heat pump), I'm guessing that energy costs may be the same between furnace only and heat pump.  With the EcoBee TStat Robert recommended, we have the option for aux heat (all gas) or heat pump.
Lennox is a reliable brand; one of the best, along with Trane and just a couple of others.  There are many options for heating and AC.  And Robert helped us with costs per system vs rebates.  It is a complicated thing to wade through if you're trying to do this on your own.
Once we picked our system, Del came out for a site preview prior to installation.  Very knowledgeable, friendly, and used to be an installer.  He suspected we had a duct issue, crawled under our very tight crawl space, and identified a 15 foot run of bad ducting (which we had replaced during our install).
Just before the install, Robert stopped by again (on his own time) and did a preliminary HERS test.  Above the call of duty... All the air supply registers are taped over, and a fan/large flex pipe are attached to the return grille to pressurize it and measure the CFM leakage.  Very helpful to compare with when we get the formal test soon (ie, how much leakage did we get from the one bad duct pipe).
Installers Alexis and Mark finished two days ago and just did an excellent job.  They spent time in the attic, and our awful, awful crawl space.  One of those crawl spaces where you have to let your breath out to squeeze between beams and joists.   Both very talented, Mark with a fun sense of humor, and both have a positive attitude.  I'm a retired engineer, and in the past 30 years, have done most of home repairs solo--so, I have a darn good idea of how things should be done, and these two guys were tops.
Patrick (operations) and Terry (scheduling) got involved a number of times.  
There are many pieces that have to fall into place to get a heat system in place...I had no idea.  Costs/choices, equipment and installer availability, rebates with Costco, etc.  They help me navigate/schedule with HERS testing after install, and then, the city inspection.  You can actually talk with Bellows people right away without all the crap I often deal with where you can't reach someone, or they're in a country and cannnot help you while you wait on the phone....

I highly recommend Wilmar Plumbing!  We had a dishwasher that wasn't draining properly b/c the hose was connecting to the garbage disposal.  Wilmar and his colleague Andres, fixed the hose and put in an air gap so that the water would now properly flow and not backup in the dishwasher.  Wilmar and and Andres are courteous, kind, smart, and do a good job of prep and clean-up.   Responsive and trustworthy. Building a family business so Wilmar takes his work seriously and cares deeply about doing a high quality job!  Thank you!!!

Their price was a bit high @ $175, but the soft water was returned to service by this firm for the second time in 6 months. It appears my attempts to fix the conditioner did not work.

Hard to reach. Rude service and poor workmanship.

Sewer line needed to be snaked. I called at 11am confirmed that I had my request booked at 11:41am no one called until 4pm when they asked if anyone had come out. Nope still needed someone to come out. They called me back around 5:15pm saying they could send someone between 6:30-7:30pm well the guy who came was useless looking for a reason not to do the work probably because he wanted to go home. Our past good experience with this company must have been luck because this time is was crap...
