Best Water Heater Installation in Seattle WA
We called Green Planet to have our 40-gallon gas water heater replaced. The work they did looks good and I haven't experienced any issues, however I found their pricing to be $500-600 more than I would have expected for the job.
Based on asking friends/co-workers on their replacement costs most ran between $1000-1300 (for normal tank replacement). When we called Green Planet we were told over the phone it would be around $1000 which was inline with my expectations. However after the installer showed up the quote was $1500 for the tank/install. Plus he recommended replacing the small pressure tank on the top for around $200. So total price was $1700 and after tax just over $1800.
When we questioned the difference between his quote and the phone quote he said they were likely talking about just tank costs. Looking up the Rheem prog40s-38n rh62 model tank they installed it appears to cost around $600, so their labor install cost was about $900. This is in a 10-year old house with the tank in the garage, so there weren't any complications or modernizations that needed to happen, just a basic swap of the tanks and configuration.
So if I would summarize my experience. It would be they do quality work, but seem to charge much higher than average.

Will helped us install a new outlet, and fix 2 other outdoor outlets on our home which work great now. He also repaired an outdoor faucet which had started leaking. That was more complicated because of how it was integrated into the side of the house and needed some patching up afterwards, which he also did. It's been a little while since he completed the jobs and everything works great now. Highly recommended.

Wow, Bill and Diane are awesome! Love the service. What an honest company, with a great and informative work ethic. I would recommend them again and again.

Ben White of Whitelaw Plumbing replaced my electric water heater in my 2 story condo (the water heater is on the 2nd floor) just yesterday. It was an odd setup and the quotes I received from other companies were astounding (in a bad way). He was completely upfront and confident about the quote he gave me (after I sent photos of my setup). He was polite, knowledgeable, respectful and extremely trustworthy, which is a huge asset for a first time homeowner like me. I have complete confidence in recommending Ben and although he just installed my water heater yesterday, I have already recommended him on Nextdoor and to friends in the area. It can be a nerve racking experience to have someone work in your home that you're not familiar with (especially if you're not particularly well versed in home appliances :). Thankfully, Ben was completely professional and helped me to understand the process of the installation (and how to check efficiency in the future) without being patronizing in the least. And not that this is entirely necessary, but Ben quoted me 2 hours for the work and he was done at EXACTLY the two hour mark. We laughed about how well timed it was. FYI - Ben is most easily reachable by email since he is in the field during day.

I have used Mr. Rooter plumbing before and they have done a great job again. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter plumbing for your household needs. The first time I used them for a normal plugged kitchen sink. This time my outside faucet wasn't working because the anti syphon thingy was broken and water was spraying all over the place.
Thier plumber Tom came out and qickly assessed the situation, proposed a solution and then fixed my faucet. He was so nice, super respectful of my home and did a wonderful job.
Mr. Rooter is my plumber of choice and I will definitly use them again.

A genuine thank you for helping and making it out to our house in the ice storm and being able to fix our water heater that was spewing water everywhere, due to a burst shark bite. Then telling us, young naive folk, how to unfreeze our kitchen pipes and everything to do if it infact burst due to freezing. I can't thank you enough for your company being awake at 5am and then coming out bright and early to get it fixed so we then had hot water.

Excellent work. Very professional and timely assistance in getting a broken kitchen faucet fixed at a reasonable price.

Erik did a simple outdoor freeze proof faucet replacement. I was going to do it myself but every time I try a simple fix, there is always a problem. Sure enough the connections were so tight that he needed the really big wrenches to bust the faucet loose. He was fast, respectful and did a quality job. Since there is minimum one hour charge, I had him clear up a slow running bathtub drain and adjust a sink stopper as part of the hour charge. Will use him again since I can trust him to do the job right.

I cannot even begin to say how AMAZING Tech City Plumbing is, and especially Tim! This is our second time using Tim. Originally we were referred to Elvis (great customer service) who referred us to Tim because of availability. Number ONE: they are so honest!! Let's get to the point, no one wants to pay more than they need to. Tim was honest, and told us what we needed to repair but also told us things that didn't need to be done. He looked out for us. Number two: he responded to our request (arrived at our house) within 24 hours, both times! One of the visits we actually didn't have a problem, he showed us and didn't charge us. Who does that these days? I figured he would charge us a big fee for coming out, and instead told us that he values our business?!?! Where do you see that these days? I don't. The point is: when you hire a plumber, you look for integrity, honesty and a strong work ethic. Tim has all these. I would trust him with any plumbing job, big or small. I will be telling all of my friends and family about him. Look no further, go with Tech City and ask for Tim! Know that your money is going in the right place.

I had a plumbing problem and called Action Jackson. I explained the problem to them in detail and they agreed to send someone out for a mandatory pre-charge of about $120, which would be applied to the bill, should I accept.
The plumber showed up, assessed the situation and told me he could not fix it and that I needed to call a full service plumber, as Action Jackson did only simple plumbing and he did not have the necessary parts to do the job.
It cost me close to $140 in total to be told they could not fix the problem.
I was not impressed. Look elsewhere. Their business practices are not customer friendly.

Our hot water heater went out on a Sunday, after a few messages back and forth we scheduled a 8AM appointment for the next day for a tankless hot water heater to replace our leaking tank heater. They showed up right on time and we're done in a couple hours. A+ job Will definitely have them do all our plumbing work in the future.

An inspection of our lateral sewer pipes found significant gaps between the pipes in several places, with plant and tree roots getting in and clogging it up. Also, the ~60 year old concrete 'Y' that connected our lateral pipe to our neighbor's lateral line was cracked and needed to be replaced.
Recommendation from several sources was to have the pipes lined. Our neighbors had recently had their lateral line repaired, and spoke very highly of Price Busters. Price Busters gave us a significantly better quote than the estimates we got from other plumbers; and they were obviously very experienced with sewer pipe lining when they gave us the estimate.
The work was very well done, including the excavation and the clean-up work afterwards (they left the place in our yard where they had to dig looking great -- you couldn't tell anything had been excavated if you hadn't seen the work done.)
Price Busters has specialists for each job; Beau and Mike did the excavation, fill-in and clean-up; James, Jeff and 2 others did the actual lining job (in 2 phases). All the Price Busters plumbers we met were very polite and informative, and were very good about keeping socially distant and wearing masks due to the pandemic. There were a couple of minor communication issues, but with that many guys working on the project, things like that are bound to happen.
We're very satisfied with the work Price Busters did, and the price; and we would definitely recommend them, particularly for this kind of work.
Included is a picture of the finished work, before they filled in the excavation hole -- new 'Y' connection, and a new sewer clean out (the pipe going up to the surface.)

I woke up to the sound of water rushing out of my hot water heater in my garage this Sunday morning. I called Joe's and they called back in minutes and were able to walk me through shutting off the water to the hot water heater until they could get here. Angelo got here in about two hours and got the tank replaced quickly. Her was courteous and professional. The price I paid was consistent with what my neighbors paid for a similar water heater. They did charge an extra $99 for an emergency Sunday visit, but that seemed reasonable to me.

Needed some pipes moved for a window install and JAFCO was able to come out the day after the request and have a worker at my house 2 days later. Wyatt did an excellent professional job and kept me abreast of any and all issues. Great quick job, would highly recommend.

On time, efficient, clean, good value, fast.
I really like this company and will have more work done through them soon.

Hugo and Jair showed up this morning to look at an issue with my toilet. They were about 20 min late but they did send a message that they were on their way, which I appreciated. They spent about 15 min checking things out, and fortunately didn't find an issue. They were respectful and honest, and did not do work that didn't need to be done. There was no charge for the visit, so I didn't pay a cent. They recommended replacing the toilet if I continue to have problems. I'm keeping their contact info in case I need their services in the future.

Had a wonderful first experience with Top Gun Plumbing. Initial call was to fix a broken hot water line in the bathroom sink, but also had them replace a kitchen sink faucet that was leaking and rusted on. They had no issue with adding to the work queue and were very professional, gave the work estimate up front and got both jobs done in just over one hour for what I considered a very reasonable and fair price. Definitely going with this company for all of my future plumbing needs!

James and Thoren came out on short notice working around the time I needed to go pick up my son from school and were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the issue presented. I was very pleased with the responses of this company and the 2 people who came out to manage the emergent issue with my toilets clogging the same day as I called.
Thank you so much Thoren and James.

I called Issaquah Plumbing (for a job in Issaquah by the way) & somehow this company showed up in a big truck with 2 guys. I had waited 3 days for a service & a 2 hour window for them to arrive, so I figured what the heck I will give them a try. The main guy/the driver was cranky at best, but again I thought well he could of had a bad day. I did ask about Iss Plumbing and he said they are out of business (look em up..they are listed with reviews), so I have no idea what to make of that. Knowing the repair was the simple replacement of the plunger gadget inside the tank, it was definitely going to be the minimum service call, which seems to be about $250. The part is about $65 at Home Depot and I was quoted $480 + tax to replace. I asked how long it would take to fix and he said about 20 min. I'm all for people being paid industry rates, but this was robbery. He said it cost him $300 just to bring the truck to me. My comment back was that I thought I was calling a local company in Issaquah, not someone who drove 2 hours to get here, in a huge truck, with 2 guys. Through conversation, he dropped his price down to $410 and found me a coupon. I made the comment this was grossly overpaying, which made him very angry. He stormed out of the house saying screw this, I don't need this. His #2 was a nice man and shrugged his shoulders and off they went. In reading the reviews now that I know who they are, this is not a company I would have called for service, so it's pretty frustrating to have them show up. Something is broken in the way this company does business.
