Thank you so much Alex and Puget Sound Plumbing. You turned our nightmare 2 bathroom reno into a dream.

You know those phone#s that are like gold and you are really really careful to never ever lose? That's Alex's phone# for us. I am so thankful to have found him and will call only him going forward.

We had been conned by a general CON-tractor who did plumbing work unlicensed, caused 2 different leaks in 2 bathrooms, flooded our house, and everything he did needed to be torn out. Plus he was threatening me with a lien on my house, and his insurance won't cover the damage because he wasn't licensed to do plumbing. (no, a general contractor being licensed bonded and insured is not enough. Learn from my expensive mistake!)  We were pretty traumatized.

Alex came in and saved the day. He came in and tore out all the bad leaking work, installed everything properly, and worked long hours diligently until it was finished so the tile contractor could start. He was exhausted but we were so grateful.

He and his team were a pleasure to have working in our home. He had a great attitude and even had a sense of humor that helped to lighten the mood. I highly recommend Alex and have already given a couple of people his phone#.

Do not use this company!!! Overpriced and they take advantage of you when you are in an emergency situation. They charge$1700+ for water pipe burst behind the toilet. The worst thing is we've been calling them multiple times( both we and the insurance company called) to write us a detailed itemized pricing for what was fixed for insurance claims, but they did not respond back to us at all.

This company preys on the elderly they wanted to charge my 87 year old parents $680.70 to change a $13 refrigerator water shut off valve.  It took only 15 minutes . These type of people make me sick . I hope God has a certain place in hell for them. Don't use these complete thieves.

Mr. Chris, what are you talking about, I received a great deal for the services we got from your disgusting company? It's very clear, your company overcharged customers and just horrible cheats! Do you even read reviews, they don't lie! You guys should be out of business! Not a reputable company to trust!!

What outstanding review? Check again, Mr. Chris! You can say whatever you want to say, but these people had experienced your poor service and just saying, reviews don't lie!!!!

Overpriced and poor communication.  $650 to 'attempt' to clear a clogged sewer line; note they also wanted to charge me an additional $350 for scoping the line with a camera before/after. Also beware that if they do show up, they tell you there is a $99 fee for them to arrive, which is waived if you spend the absurd amount they are going to quote you.

When they ran their auger, they only used a small retrieval tool, didn't properly clear the pipe, and the clog showed up a few days later. I got another company to properly clear it AND scope it for $300. Don't let them hard pressure you to pay that much, they are just being predatory. I learned the hard way.

I called this company as well as 6 more for an estimate and the person that called me I believe MIA, was so disrespectful and dismissive that they were and IMMEDIATE no from me. Why would I spend my company's money on all of these upcoming projects with these people? Then, 2 days later another person called me to see if we had and appointment and he was rude too! Too many options out here that will treat you right and not charge you for doing so. I manage many properties with a huge re-pipe coming for one of my apartment buildings. PUGET SOUND PLUMBING WILL NOT GET THE CHANCE

Called this company in to repair a drainage pipe I'd pierced while mounting something to a wall; I hadn't tealized a pipe ran though that wall, and my stud-finder read it as a stud.

If you're concerned about COVID exposure, do not use this company. I answered the door wearing my mask, and the two plumbers walked in barefaced. When I asked them to put on masks, they argued with me. When I insisted, they went to their truck and returned wearing neck-gaiters, which all current data shows are worse than not wearing masks at all, from a virus-spread perspective. When I called the company to suggest they train their staff better, I was told that since different homeowners feel differently about masks, they don't make a big deal out of making sure their staff work safe.

And don't expect them to provide anything related to the job that isn't actual plumbing hardware. They don't repair or replace the drywall they open to get to the pipes, they don't remove any insulation which may have become wet or contaminated as a result of the leak (and definitely don't replace it); they don't even have insulating spray-foam to seal where the new pipe pierces the house's envelope. And the clean-up was left to us.

Otherwise, they were personable enough, and their work wasn't shoddy.

I'd give them a zero if that was an option. I called for a quote to replace my garbage disposal and they came back with $1100!! I'm no dummy, I know even a highend disposal is not going to be more than $300 or so. so they wanted me to pay $800 in labor for less than an hours work. No way. Went to Lowes and bought my own and had the Lowes guy install it all for just under $400. Lesson learned

I believe the work I had done was done correctly, however for the amount of time they spent here and the amount of time they actually spent working in my bathroom, they grossly over charge. I would consider other options before going back. $1,900 for 2 hours of work is not reasonable. Reading reviews after the fact, Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating seem to have a pattern of this behavior.

Update: this review was some how deleted from the original on 6/8/22

Beware, these guys started to be in the business of just driving to your house and give you an absurd quote just to get the $100 mandatory visit. They quoted $900 for a toilet that doesn't flush because of $10 part replacement which takes 5 minutes to replace.

They would show up at your door because you called one of their cover companies which transfer business to this company.
They ask ridiculous rate ($1000+), expect that you take it out of desperation. Fortunately I am aware of these power sale tricks, paid them visit fee and sent them away.

Called another company with 20 years experience, finished the job within 1 hour and paid less than 30% of what PSPH asked for.

They unclogged a drain line from the kitchen sink but did not run the snake
far enough down to clear the clog. As a result the sink clogged again within hours and I could not get them out again for 4 days at which time I rented my own power snake and did it myself and it is now clear of clogs. I called to get at least the $100 the rental at Home Depot cost me but the manager is a jerk and would not refund anything! I told him I would leave a bad review and he said he did not care. I would not do business with this outfit if it were
giving refunds! Poor service, poor public relations! The bill was $457 for the sink they did not unclog and they wanted more for any other sinks! So high it is highway robbery especially with results that don't solve the problem and like I said the worst possible public relations you could have! Lots of other plumbers in business and this one stinks!

Wouldn't hire them again. They were referred by a service and I assumed that they would have a good reputation based on that. They overcharged me for sure - which is my own fault for not looking into it more beforehand but we needed someone to come out and they were available.

Paid $800 to have a drain unclogged that was backing up into my dishwasher and a new disposal installed. As they were about to leave - they turned on my dishwasher to clear the water that had backed up. I asked them what would happen if the dishwasher wasn't working - since they weren't going to wait around for the cycle to finish. They said the work was guaranteed for 30 days. Then, when I called an hour later saying that the dishwasher didn't have any water going to it and wasn't working - they said, Oh - that's not covered and told me to get out the user manual and read up on it. He also said, I know you want to get your dishes done, but maybe just wait for your husband to come home and he can fix it for you. I passed out at that point because I was trying to set him on fire with my mind.

Oh, and the drain is still slow.

Negative stars would be more appropriate, but one is as low as it will let me go. We had them come out to inspect a furnace that wouldn't come on reliably. We were told it was fried, destroyed, that you couldn't order the board, that we needed a new furnace.

A new furnace is really, really expensive.

We decided to get a second opinion from Washington Energy Services...who correctly found one of the intakes was blocked and it had water in a switch Switch is on order, furnace is running well while we wait.

I wish I had read these reviews. I wish I hadn't wasted time with them.
Don't trust their diagnosis.
Don't give them money.
Just don't.

If you want to be completely ripped off, then give these guys a call.  They charged my son over $2,000 to install a dishwasher and a refrigerator!!!!!!!!!  They gave him a scope of work that said $600, as they had to run a line from the sink (literally within 2 feet) for the ice maker.  My son, first time home buyer, couldn't reach me or my wife and okayed the estimate.  The plumber then said it was 2k after the job was done in 5 hours.  How is this possible??? Talked to Chris, what a liar and a cheat.  The only positive reviews must be from his family.  I hope Karma prevails.  SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

They robbed me $ 750 for a 30min under the sink job and quote $560 for putting the dish washer in. (Btw Home Depot charge 150 for installation). Good lesson learned for me, if it is a good business w high customers review it won't send mail coupon. If you have nothing else to spend money try this.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. These people are crooks. Use someone else, ANYONE else.
I was Charged 3 times what it should have been to replace an outdoor hose bib with isolation valves. When afterwards I called and asked for an itemized statement ( so I could determine how much for parts vs how much for labor) they said they couldn't do that. We can't itemize it......it's not how we do it.... we just charge by the job. Before I wrote this I called around and asked a plumber I know about the cost of plumbing parts and not including trip fee and tax which I completely understand. it looks like the labor charge was about $700-$800 dollars per hour. With Puget Sound Plumbing refusing to break down the bill that is what I have to assume. I'm upset that I could've had this job done for a third the cost with someone else.

My sinks backed up and Puget Sound Plumbing attempted to clear the pipe with a snake but couldn't reach the block because the pipe was too rusted, looked under the house at the pipes, and recommend I replace the kitchen pipe for $3,000. They still charged over $500 for being at my house for less than an hour.
Another company looked at the pipes under the house and used the clean out under the house to clear the block.
This company must make a pot of money recommending unnecessary work for a high price. I'll be steering anyone I can away from them.

This place is the absolute worst. I received a magnet and a coupon for $60 off any service in a mailer, and thought I'd give them a try for a simple kitchen faucet installation.
I made an appointment, and come day of the reservation received no confirmation call, no updates whatsoever. I had to call THEM to see if anyone was coming. The dispatch person said they would be several hours late. Said I could wait or reschedule. I chose to wait for them. Several hours came and went before I received a call cancelling the appointment. They rescheduled me for the following afternoon. Nobody came. Nobody called.
What kind of customer service is that? Who does business like that? No plumber of mine, that's for sure.

Puget Sound Plumbing came to my office to check on why my toilet was clogged. The so called plumber immediately told me my toilet was old. I thought that was strange given it was a fairly new toilet. He proceeded to spend 2 minutes attempting to unclog the toilet, the told me the clog was int the toilet so I would need to hire him to replace the toilet. I told him it was obvious the toilet wasn't the issue and he said, Are you a plumber. After he left I removed the toilet and confirmed it wasn't the toilet. I then rented a snake a fixed the clog in the drain. They refused to make things right. DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS.

I had to give it one star to be able to write this.

This place got me with the marketing offering... $60 off for any service. That was a bunch of crap! I took part of the day off work to be there with the plumber. I was given a 2 hour window. I called 10 minutes before the end of the window. I was told that we had a series of emergencies and no one is coming. I tried to keep it together and asked how can we fix this. I stupidly gave them another chance and they said they'd be by the next day (Saturday) sometime in the afternoon. I explained that since they messed up, the appropriate thing would be to add me to the calendar first thing and not waste another day. He told me we have other appointments and that we can't do that to a customer. I replied but isn't that what you just did to me!?!?... Long story longer, no one called and no one showed up for the second time in a row.

Moral of the story is... stop freakin and call beacon (or any other plumbing outfit) - just not these guys. I wish I would have looked at the reviews first.

What a joke! We scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for them to come out today (Saturday) for our tankless hot water heater for today 9 to 11am... they call me at 9:30 this morning to tell me they don't have anyone certified for today to come out!
I cant believe that I waited 4 days for this... her response was.. well I wasn't here to take the appointment.

I wish I would have read the reviews before calling!  Had a running toilet that was not an emergency, more of an annoyance.  Called PSP and tech came out the next day to stop the running.  There were 2 techs, came in, said that's a really nice toilet (?!) then gave me an estimate to replace an already new toilet with another toilet for the whopping price of $1300 not including tax.  Keep in mind I didn't request a new toilet.  Never said what was wrong with my current new toilet, which is what I called them for.  Total waste of time!

I called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating and I stated that my garbage disposal was leaking and would need to be replaced.  I offered to purchase a replacement disposal to speed up the work, however I was informed that they carried replacement disposal units on their trucks.  The work I had done was done correctly, however it only took about one hour to complete, and we had the work space under the sink cleared and ready for them.  They sold us a garbage disposal that they had on their truck and I do not know the price as they do not itemize their invoices.  One hour of labor, one garbage disposal, a Dispatch Fee, and the bill was $1662.66.  Afterwards, I searched for the median prices, for replacing a garbage disposal, in the Tacoma area and I was shocked!  Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating billed us at three times the average price.  I recommend contacting another local plumbing company.

They did a simple installation of a kitchen faucet and a basic laundry tub faucet. Not only were they late by 4 hours but they charged $935 for the kitchen faucet and $646 for the laundry tub faucet. After taxes this minor job was $1,839.00. This company overcharges and takes advantage of people. Talking to Chris about the ludicrous cost he kept saying this was the standard cost based on their books but refused to provide proof of standardized pricing. There was not breakdown for labor cost or material cost. Based on my experience and other reviews I recommend you find another company that is trustworthy or do it yourself.

Maybe I should give them 2 stars for teaching me how to recognize and deal with scam artists. I had a sink that wasn't draining. The working theory was that it wasn't properly vented. I couldn't quite manage the job myself even though I hypothetically had all the parts. So I contacted Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating to help me out. They did warn me that it would be $100 for the trip. That was fine by me.

The guy showed up, looked at it, and told me he didn't have the parts with him so he's going to cut a hole in the sink tailpiece. He quotes me $650. Taken aback, I asked how much the part he's missing is, because I'd probably rather do it myself. He told me that I was at something like $400 in charges. When asked why, he told me it was the cost of driving his very expensive van out. When I asked him why it was different from the $100 dispatch fee, he said I was also paying for his many years as a journeyman plumber. So, like an idiot, I thought, Well, I might as well pay the rest if I'm already out $400 and let him do the work.

He cut a hole in the sink tailpiece and came to me with the invoice for $715 (after tax). He then asked me Do you want to save $50? and tried to strongarm me into going onto Yelp to give his company a 5-star review. Let's read that back. They were charging me $50 for not giving them a 5-star review. At that point, I said Uh. No thanks. I'm good. because I wanted him out of my house as fast as possible so I could call his company and see if I could do something about the insane cost. He wanted me to pay and I said, Let me call your office and pay them. He was very reluctant, but finally shoved some paper in front of me. Again, like an idiot, I signed it.

Once he left, I called their office to see if they were more reasonable. I told them I wanted to discuss the price that was given because it seemed high and that I was strung along. The lady answering immediately went into script mode: I see, sir, so do I understand correctly that you are refusing to provide payment in breach of the contract you signed? So I backed away from that, paid them, and looked at the paper the guy left me. And of course I had signed the Acceptance of Work Performed. Interestingly, I hadn't signed the Work Authorization. I guess he didn't want to let me know I had a choice to say no after his claims that I already owed him $400.

But we're not done yet. An hour later, I tried the sink. It leaked. So I called them back. I asked them if they would fix it and if they planned on charging me. The office said they stand by their work. I was very clear about not intending to pay more and they were expected to complete the job. A couple guys showed up, complained about how the other guy's work was weird, and fixed the leak. Then they handed me an invoice for something like $250. But the first guy prepared me well! I told them I was very sorry for any miscommunication, but that I would not be paying or signing anything. They called their office and relented.

So for the low low price of $715, I got some great education about how to handle contractors. As a new homeowner and a pretty naïve person, this lesson was invaluable. It's just too bad that now I have to be a distrustful jerk to all future contractors.

I called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating to have 3 shut off valves replaced, pretty routine work.  First they were 2 hours late and when they finally got to my house they wanted $457 for 30 minutes of work.  When I told the plumber that was rediculous and that it should only cost $250 he said that was their flat rate. I told them I've always used Done Right Plumbing and they charge an hourly rate which is much more fair. I only called them because Done Right doesn't come out to 98053.  All the plumber did was talk smack about my usual plumbers, so unprofessional.  I told him they were great and I'd use them again in a heart beat. Had them do the work because I needed my water back on, but I'll NEVER call them again.

If you need plumbing help call anyone else, Puget Sound Plumbing only wants to rip you off.

Edit: Response to Chris. B. Yes. You were upfront. I'm again as stated before am disappointed with myself for allowing you to come give me a ridiculous quote plus charging $100 to give me that ridiculous quote! Basically free money in your pocket just knowing you'd give me an asinine quote. Rooter-Man came out for free to give us a quote and even without your rip off quote fee he came in $200 less than you. Your guys who gave us a quote even told my husband he isn't going to find anyone to do it for less. Making it awkward for him while they were here! Again enjoy your $100. Con-artist!

Disappointed with myself! I should of known that a company that will charge you $100 just for an estimate is a huge red flag! There are so many people who want/need work at times like these we are currently experiencing. I should never have contacted or allowed them to charge me for an asinine quote! I think that is ridiculous. Shame on me, please learn from my lesson. Do not pay someone ever to give you a quote! Their quote was ridiculously high and they were here 2 minutes and left with $100 in their pocket! Enjoy your $100 for 2 minutes of time!

Neither you or anyone else at your company told me the info that you just did in this comment.  If I had received this information I would not have wasted over a week trying to get your plumber Matt to just return my call... no one from your company even told me that you had even gotten in touch with my warranty company, so even IF that were true, you NEVER passed that info on to me which would've saved me a lot of time AND I would have never written this review if you had just been upfront.

The company I had come out after yours by the way  charged me LESS THAN 50% of what your plumbers were trying to charge me.  So I ended up paying them the full amount out of pocket instead of going through warranty because they were willing to be honest, expedient, and FAIR with me.

Your company is at best full of people who are not knowledgeable and don't know how to communicate with customers and at worst downright scam artists

i have absolutely never written a review in my life but wanted to share my experience with this company.

Two days ago one of their repair trucks hit my car and knocked off the side mirror completely and left long white scrapes on my car. They left a note saying they did it and are now not taking accountability making the insurance process twice as difficult. Im beyond upset and want everyone to know what this company has done. I would absolutely never give my business to this company.

Mike from Puget Sound Plumbing came in for an estimate and told me about a lot of things that I did not know was wrong he was very very honest with me and I trust him with all of my plumbing needs at this point. I have had seven plumbers at my house and none of them told me that my plumbing to my washing machine was not vented and that it was undersized.?I had multiple p traps when there should only be one. Which is why I will never go anywhere else. I highly recommend Mike and his assistant Junior who looks like my cousin. LOL

I was very disappointed with this service but what was even more disappointing was that when I reached out to the business to try to rectify the situation, they never responded.  They quoted me quadruple the price that another company quoted so I did not have them do the repairs and they also broke my shower head during the consultation.

I made an appointment with Puget Sound Plumbing for an estimate.  Scheduling was prompt and while the dispatcher was nice and communicative, they rescheduled with me three different times.  I was not given advance notice and each time I was called that other more important plumbing emergencies had come up and that they would not make it that day unless I could wait another ~5 hours.  These calls came towards the end of the service window I had scheduled which means I wasted several hours of my time waiting around my house for the plumber to come.

When the plumber finally did make it out he was nice but quoted me $1200 to fix my leaking bathtub faucet and said he would need to go through the drywall. He also said that this price would not include repatching the drywall after the plumbing work was done.  He mentioned that he may be able to do it for $600 by replacing a part, but that he would need to order the part and could not guarantee this would fix the issue.  He told me that even if it did not fix the issue, I would have to pay the $600 and then do the other technique which would cost an additional $1200.  I also asked him to take a look at my dual shower head while he was here which was dispensing water from both shower heads at once.  He told me I would need to replace a part and that it was an easy fix but after he left I began to notice that every time I took a shower the shower head would spray from the pipe onto the ceiling and several other directions.  This is really what I called about afterwards as something the plumber did broke my existing shower and I requested a refund of the cost for the trip out.  They charge $109 for an estimate and put it towards the service if they end up servicing in the same trip.  Their quotes for service were so high that it seems like a scam and my feeling was that they were either going to charge an arm and a leg for the service, or come out for 15 minutes and simply gather their $109 and be on their way.  I was able to have my bathtub fixed by another plumbing company in 30 minutes for $300 without going through any of my walls.

When asked why the prices were so high, they had no idea. Because the book says so.

Note to plumbing companies: If your plumbers aren't educated enough to explain the price of a job (HINT: It's labor plus parts where labor is your extrapolated run cost) then don't send them out.

DO NOT use this company: overpriced and uneducated.

Do not use this company, and if you do and Matt R shows up slam the door on this fraud. the reason his uniform is clean is because he will charge you 743$ on top of the 99$ just for coming to your place, so after you sign the paper work he will tell you he can't fix the problem. Then your out 928$ and your problem is still not fixed. -5 Stars I hate, Hate, HATE!!!! this company!! please trust me and never use

Either trying to scam for money or surprisingly inefficient.

Called them home for appointment to fix a Faucet that wouldn't work (unable to stop water so had to switch of main supply).  I had called a few other folks but only these people were able to make it on that day. Although they didn't make the initial time, i was told in advance that they would be late by a couple of hours.  This is the Good part.

I had the Faucet Knob and the spring (no washer/seat) on the counter. So, i would assume that there is a spring in play as well. And if you look at the faucet i think as a professional, they would have known that.

Two of them came over and they took a look a the faucet while commenting to each other that the knob does not have any traction while they tried to place it over the knob and rotate it over a couple of times.
After which, here is what they mentioned.  They indicated that the part  is not available (agreed it might not have been easily available) and would take 2 to 3 weeks. And upon arrival, Fixing this would cost 520$+Parts+Tax (Should have asked for the price for parts, i guess, i would have been fleeced there as well). (Note: There was a similar part in Amazon that could have reached in 4-7 days with priority shipping.)

I was offered another suggestion i.e. replace the valve completely by cutting open the drywall. Ah and what would you know, it would cost $1200 + tax (not sure about parts as i didn't ask).  I had to decline both options as both of them didn't seem right.
And the kicker, again they were talking to each other about how the knob didn't have any traction.

Expectation from a professional for this job:
1)Suggestion on where i could get this cartridge
2) Point the actual issue ( i am paying 99$ + tax for the visit)
If i could fix it yourself, what i would do
i.e. they could have suggested, that Seat/Washer is missing and for the knob, all i needed was a screw
3)At least not mislead by the fake twisting of the knob indicating that there is a big issue.

Anyways, went to Lowe's, they didn't have the part so suggested me to try Anderson/Larry's.  Larry's had the part that i needed, since i saw on amazon that the spring came with a washer which was missing at my place, i got the washer+spring as well.  Larry's guy pointed out how i could get it fixed and it shouldn't be difficult.  There was a Another contractor at Larry's and he mentioned the same.  And suggested that i i couldn't get it to work call them.

Long story short, it was less than 5 minutes of actual work to stop the leak, attached the Cartridge (might not have needed one but just to be sure used a new one) and the washer/spring and hey presto, the water stopped.

Next day, our Handy man came over took a look at the faucet knob and screwed it in less than 5 minutes and it was good as new.

Just had an amazing experience today with Puget Sound Plumbing!!!
Starting with Brianna who answered my call to Taylor who came to repair and replace my expansion tank that sprung a leak. The whole upsetting episode began at 1:30 pm and by 4 pm the entire job was completed and working better than ever.
High quality workmanship and professionalism stands out!! They now have a lifetime customer in me. I could not be more pleased or impressed with their kind service and the price was right too!

Seems like a scam. They offer coupons for $60,  but refuse to provide estimates without an in-person visit, while the dispatch fee is $100. At the time they arrive you have a sunk cost of $100 and they can quote you anything they like. I imagine most people agree and are taken in for a ride. Yelp folks -- don't put yourself in a position where a contractor has leverage over you. Most estimates can be done based on photos, description, etc. (at least ballpark).

Expensive!! I was told that they do not have a set hourly rate and the charge is based on the job that needs to be done. There was no set rate per job so it sounds like they charge arbitrarily. Lesson learned. I will be sure to get a solid quote next time and definitely use a different company.

Never use this company, was charged $650.00 for less then an hour of work to change out an exterior faucet that was not an emergency. They were not even willing to give me a labor and materials breakdown. Do yourself a favor if you like your money and get someone that charges a reasonable rate.

This the worst company I have ever met in my life!! There is a dispatch fee $100 even if they do nothing (as long as they come and enter your house) they charge me  $750 for connecting an fridge waterline. I asked the guy go out as it is totally insane and robbery. Later I ask another handy man costing me only $124 for labor and parts. I will give them 0 star if I could!!

Absolutely horrible service, cannot believe that this place is still in business.  Our kitchen faucet head was leaking, so our landlord called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating.  They gave us a two hour window in which they would arrive the next day.

The next day, at the end of that two hour window, they had not arrived. Nor had they called to tell us or our landlord that they would be late.  When we called them, they said that they would be another two hours.  The landlord rescheduled for the next day.  They gave us another two hour window and again did not show up.  The landlord rescheduled again.  We got another two hour window, and again they did not show up and did not call us to tell us they would be late.  When we called them, they said they would arrive sometime in the next two hours.  An hour or so later they called and said that they had arrived.  But they were at the wrong address.  We gave them our address again and they finally showed up twenty minutes later.

When they arrived, they came into our home without any personal protective equipment, ie no mask, even though that is currently required by law due to the coronavirus pandemic.  The plumber took one look at our sink and said that it could not be repaired and that he would have to replace the faucet.  He told us that this would cost, at a minimum, $850.  To replace a kitchen sink faucet. $850.  After a quick google search revealed that this price was as absurdly high as it sounded, we opted to look elsewhere for our plumbing needs.

In sum, this plumber failed to show up multiple times, did not bother to tell us he was delayed or unable to make it, did not take proper precautions due to the pandemic, and tried to massively overcharge us.  If you need plumbing services, find someplace else.  This place doesn't deserve your business.

They were a day late in showing up after booking the appointment a month in advance.  I was very clear when I made the appointment this was low level preventative maintenance.  They assured me on the phone they would charge accordingly.  They got to the site and quoted me over $7000 to the work.  My wife was on site, and clearly they were taking advantage of her.  $1300 for less than 3 hours of work.  I was told when I made the appointment they would do it on time and materials.  Now they say it is by the job.  Stay far away.

What a waste of time. I waited 45 mins before walking down the block to get some food. I got a miss call from Ryan and called him back after 2 mins and 43 seconds, I checked caller log. Ryan stated that the installer left because he had another appointment. Why schedule a time when you are already booked with somebody else? They expect us to give them 2 hrs, but they can't give us 5 mins.

I decided to give them another chance. The second day, I waited 1 hr but never got a call from anybody, so I decided to call Ryan. He kept saying that the installer was working somewhere and don't know when he will be done. Again, why give us the 2hrs window when you can't make it? Ryan said he will call to check and will call me back after. I waited 25 mins but never got a call back, so I gave Ryan a call. He stated that the installer is still at another and don't know if he can make it or not.
I told Ryan to cancel my appointment and I don't to reschedule. Ryan became rude and said well, you weren't there yesterday. Really, Ryan?  What horrible customer service!!!! Safe you're money and time, do NOT call them.

Horrible horrible horrible.  $2K+ to repair kitchen sink.  Sink started leaking within a month.  They came back and fixed it.  Stayed fixed for approximately 4 months.  Came out and fixed it again. Next time we will have to charge you.  Within one month the entirety of the kitchen sink plumbing is disconnected.  Absolutely worst work I have ever witnessed in my entire life.  Do not hire these people.

Plumber attempted snaking drain, found blockage/ decayed old concrete sewer pipe under our concrete pad in front of our auto repair garage. They pinpointed exact spot w/ camera system. Concrete sawed and removed a square to access. Put in a cleanout and snaked some more. Recommended new pipe to street but said I could get by with the newly installed cleanout. They installed a metal access point w/ cover and re-poured new concrete patch so cover sits flush. Concrete patch quality looks better than the existing concrete poured in 2007. They did an awesome job. Nobody wakes up one day and wants to spend money on their sewer pipe but when you need to get flowing again you want somebody experienced and trustworthy. I'd have Dave do any plumbing job you need.   Mark H (Burien WA)

I decided to speak with a manager about my unsatisfactory experience, so I called on 7/24/17 and spoke with Chris. He seemed genuinely concerned by what I reported to him about my experience. He said I should have had a written estimate including the cost for repairs--and agreed to that price by signing the estimate--BEFORE the repair was done. I was not provided with any paperwork until all work was completed, and I was asked to sign it then. Chris explained that this was not their standard practice.

Chris also apologized for the mess left behind by the technician, and he offered to send him back to our home to clean up the black mark in the shower and anything else that he left behind. I told him I did not want the technician to come back into our home, and I cleaned it all up myself.

Although I still do not feel good about the experience I had, I have raised my level of satisfaction by one star because Chris was responsive and concerned.  He agreed to refund me about 1/4 of what I paid, and the check arrived in the mail today.

Well, I got a leaking bathroom tub and called them, they did finished the job on the second day, but is extremely expensive and left a big hole on my wall when they leave. The technician claims that the he needs to replace the whole valve system (which I still have concern right now because it is only a 7 years old house), open a big hole on my wall and billed me $1,500 for three hours of work.

Up to here it is expensive but not unacceptable, but at the end of the work the technician says that he is not an expert of fixing walls, and I need to pay him extra to cover the wall he broke, and he cannot guarantee that it will look the same as before! If I pay $1500 for a leaking tub I would expect the work to be done in perfect quality, not a half-way done project.

Called last night at 9:00pm to get a plumber out in the morning to look at my drains in my house. They were draining slowly and backing up a little bit. So not an emergency. They called me this morning to set up an appointment.  Was going to be between 12 and 2. Then they call me at 2 and said we can not get out to me today. So now I'm calling around trying to find somebody that's not going to be over time  pay. I would not count on this company if you need them to come out.

Never choose a contractor for plumbing or any repairs unless you can get an estimate first ! I called to get a estimate over the phone.  I need a plumber to install a hot water tank in my home.  The scheduler said the plumber will meet me on site and give me a quote at that time.  I asked for a 'rough estimate' as I wanted to compare what other plumbing companies might charge.   The person Chris refused to give me a range of what hot water tank replacements normally would cost.   I understand that they cannot give me a firm fixed price but after debating with him for 5 minutes and getting no where I have to say to anyone reading this - CALL ANOTHER PLUMBER !
Don't waste the customer or the companys time scheduling an appointment BEFORE they get on site and start figuring out how much they can charge you!   Three other companies were happy to tell me their hourly rate and a range for installing a tank.   All of them also were honest to say that the cost may vary once they came onsite to assess the job.   I can only guess what they would mark up a hot water tank - after they arrive on site if one were to have these guys purchase it and install it as well.

Who orders a dinner and then expects the waiter to informs you they restaurant's cook will quote you a price when your food is delivered to the table !

Obviously this company cares more about making lots of money off of unsuspecting homeowners.  SHOP ELSEWHERE !

They came out to do a camera scope of my sewer lines and quoted 20-40K for repair/replace.  Asked for the video of my $500 scope so I could just get a second opinion before spending that kind of money and they reminded me I did not ask for a video before they scoped?  Be sure to always be thinking ahead of the professionals who don't even ask/offer the option!

DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS - we had a burst water pipe in our bathroom and water was going everywhere, but they did not take control of the situation and give constructive advice, and instead seized the opportunity to do incite fear and saying things like, It's REALLY BAD, it's going to cost you a lot / Black mold is deadly. All they did was to shut off the main valve, and tried to hard-sell us services costing over $2K!!! They could not provide any solid basis to justify the estimates of repair costs, and gave us a really sour look when we declined. Really rude and they just seemed like crooks. Oh yes, they also charged the $109 dispatch fee just to switch off the valve. Go with another (honest) company for your plumbing needs instead.

The techn. was a nice person, but they didnt really do much. We had a water leak outside and there wasn't much they could do. So I asked can you atleast check the crawlspace to verify there was not leak down there. The guy was down there for like a min or two and came out saying it was fine. They then wanted us to cut all the shrubs in our yard to determine where the leak was. Which was totally fine, I would have done that. But I had been interviewing multiple plumbers to get their bids etc. The next plumber then went down in the crawlspace, spent like 10-15 minutes down there and found the leak. It was actually in the crawlspace - they totally missed it, or didn't look that hard.

But nice people overall it seemed like - just not sure about knowledgeable.

We were having issues with our water heater and our gas stove. The pilot light on the water heater kept going out and the stove would intermittently work. Sometimes the burners would light and sometimes they wouldn't. Also, the oven would take over an hour to preheat at times. We were thinking we had a gas problem, so we called Puget sound plumbing to come take a look. We had a guy come out and he was supposed to be there between 1-3 and didn't show up until 445pm. We told him what was going on and the first thing he said was that he couldn't help us with the stove because he wasn't an appliance guy. Then when he looked at the water heater, he just looked at the date on the heater and determined we needed a new one. My husband didn't trust the guy, so we decided we needed a second opinion and man am I glad we did!
We had another company come out and they actually listened to what we had to say and he recognized that it was a gas problem as well. He found that the gas meter valve was almost all the way closed and was making the appliances compete with each other for gas. It was a simple fix that cost us nothing while the Puget sound guy wanted to charge nearly $4000 for a new water heater. We will never recommend or use this company ever again!

I have no idea how a company like this stays in business.

I called as I needed a shower valve replacement done on a bathroom remodel.   The dispatcher who was very pleasant said they can have someone come out within 1 hr to give me an estimate and do the job.  There was a dispatch fee of around $100 but when I balked, they waved it.  Ok so far so good...

So the service man shows up on time, nice guy, he looks at what's obviously a pretty standard replacement job and he checks his some type of pricing guide he has from his company and says the job will be $1500!   I was shocked, that's not even including the shower assembly which I already bought from HD.    Pretty much just labor and bit of copper and soldering.   I asked what they charge per hour as I was floored to which he replied they don't charge by the hour but by the job.   I asked how long it would take, response was around 3 hours.   You guess their rate.

I thanked him for coming, patting myself on the back for not paying that dispatch fee.   I called another plumber from yelp the next day who got the job done for $300.   Took him less than 2 1/2 hours.

Pretty much just a waste of my time with these people.  I can't imagine they get much work for the ridiculous prices they try to charge.   I guess with their business model, they can afford to have their service guys spend most of their time driving around town giving laughable bids until an occasional poor sucker who has a real emergency takes them up on their rip off prices.

They are just as bad or maybe worse than notorious Beacon Plumbing.

During the recent snow storm I had an issue and needed to replace a water faucet in my garden. It took them less than 45 minutes to do so and still charged me $902 plus $59 for opening the wall!!! When I asked about the amount, they told me it's a fixed fee that could not be adjusted regardless of it being a simple fix. Stay away, they promote heavily promote on the yellow pages cover. I plan to report them across other sites and bureau. Beware: They also make referrals to other companies that are also overcharging their services.

Don't call this company unless you want to be overcharged! A friend passed me along a FB recommendation and so I took it but luckily I wasn't charged the $99 drive to your house pre-overcharge fee (the one that they do to assess if you're dumb enough to let them gouge you). My water line from the meter to the house had a small under ground leak, it was seventy feet and they quoted me $11,000 dollars! Completely outrageous and criminal in my opinion. I didn't take the bait, I paid $2,200 which was reasonable enough. Three guys with shovels dug it out in 2.5 hours and the Pex pipe and hardware was probably $200 max (so still someone covered their costs and then some) but no backhoe, no street closure, no water geyser shooting from my front yard etc. So to sum it up, don't call them and like in healthcare get a second opinion! Cheers

If I could have, I would have left negative stars.
These guys came out to fix or replace the bathtub faucet diverter. They were at my house for less than 30 mins, put on a plastic faucet that sprayed water all over the wall and floor AND charged me $500.00.
When I called the plumbers to come back out and fix the spraying they told me that was normal. WHAT???
I called the manager, Chris. He told me they would come out the next day and put a higher quality faucet on. They didn't. I called the the next day and he said they were just leaving. Right.
They did put on a nicer faucet, but for $500.00 I was expecting solid gold.
This is the worst company I've dealt with. I really don't know how they're still in business.

This was one of the worst experiences getting an estimate. Service tech was over an hour late and very unprofessional. We were told we needed a part that would cost $1000. Plus another $1700 in labor for what we were told would be a few hours of a job.
Thankfully we did some research on our own and found the same part at Home Depot for $110.

We started a DYI plumbing project that revealed a leak in our ceiling along the way. Unable to fix the leak ourselves, I called Puget Sound Plumbing around 12:45pm. By 4pm, Mike and his apprentice Matt were at our door. They diagnosed the issue and we showed them what we'd been trying to do with the DYI job as well (changing out an old hose bib). Mike gave a quote for each job, told us how they would handle it and possible risks that may come up as they work that would increase the cost. I felt informed and like I knew what was at stake with the different options I had based on our conversation. Incredibly professional, and friendly toWe wanted the leak fixed as soon as possible and we asked them to fix the hose bib while they were at it. They were done with both jobs by 5:10pm, way faster than I'd expected. Less than 5 hours after I contacted them, they'd fixed both the leaky pipe in the ceiling and our hose bib. It ended up costing less than their original quote, too, which was a blessing. Their work reminds me of that adage, Cheap, fast, good: pick two. These guys are fast and good and worth it. I would hire Puget Sound Plumbing again in a heartbeat.

They were sent out to do an insurance job. Move the water heater today to a temporary location so water mitigation crew can fix the sub-floor then come back in a few days to move it back. Simple? Not really. Complicated? Not Really.

First thing the guy did was try to sell me a new heater. That's not why you're here. Before even really looking at the water heater, Well this kind of furnace is prone to heat exchanger cracks so you need to replace it. Literally first words out of his mouth after hello.

Then he wrote up a bid and the insurance person who was here called it in to get approved.

Then I heard him call in to his dispatch to say that I'm not gonna wait around here more than another five minutes. He had been waiting so far five minutes from the time he handed the quote to the insurance guy.

Then he left.

Then 2 minutes later the insurance guy got approval on his bid via text.

So he was a impatient. He tried to upsell. He's going to submit his $100 dispatch fee to my insurance because he didn't get a dime from me. And he walked on a $2500 job.

But now I'm preapproved by insurance so the company they send tomorrow will get that money. Good business model, settle for $100 and piss people off instead of waiting a reasonable amount of time and getting $2500.

I could call him back and tell him the job and payment are approved but why would I?

Wow, what a rip off. Thankfully we got some more estimates, which saved us over $1,500! Although we had used them before,  we hadn't had a comparison.

For starters,  they charge a dispatch fee of  $99, whereas others came out free of charge.
Then they claimed that the water tank (which is not even 6 years old) should be replaced, because the connections were corroded so a replacement of the elements would only be a temporary fix. This evaluation took only about 2 minutes.

Turns out the tank is perfectly fine and the parts only rusty (which is normal) but not corroded. Furthermore,  other companies would have charged us only about half for a water tank replacement and also only half for the replacement of the elements only. And then finding out the total relacement is not necessary leaves me speechless. What crooks!

Repsonse in regards to the manager who replied to my previous post: read reviews, people have been having issues with this company and specifically the manager I also had issues with..  Yelp may filter reviews as chris says, however there are plenty of reviews that are bad and we are not all lieing, about our experience we had.  If there are that many bad reviews, there are not that many people lieing.  The manager (chris) actually was yelling at me and I said absolutely nothing slanderous as put in the response to the review.  There were 3 leaks fixed and I actually did pay for all them.  I was told by the technician the 428 charge for coming out a second day was taken off (since they did no work the first day) but because there was another leak found (the third one)  it evens out to the same amount.  I did not get  absolutely any credit or free work.  I was charged just under 2000.00 for three leaks that is what I paid. If the manager was not yelling at me there would have been no reason for me to ask him to be quiet and stop talking over me. I also on two occasions told him to stop putting words in my mouth as he kept saying I was saying hostage which is not a word I use.   I also never threatened.  I am a person who when I have had a bad experience I let people know and I told him that's exactly what I was going to so (as people should) not once did anyone apologize I had to argue on the phone with Chris for over 7 mins before he told me he would call the technician to take the charge off for the second day coming back when it should have been fixed the first time.  He kept telling me to go and talk to the echnician to take the charge off myself.  He was rude and did not have any empathy for someone who lost two days worth or work because they couldn't be on time or manage their schedules correctly.

Joshua came out because our water heater needed replacing and we had an issue with our shower. He was very thorough and diagnosed the issue with the cartridge. He not only replaced our water heater, but cleaned and made the area safe and up to code so we don't have to worry about it. He also educated us on draining it yearly to avoid sediment build up. He explained all of the pricing well and any suggestions he had. Very pleased with the work done, and them going above and beyond to leave us with a much better situation than the previous owners left us. Highly recommend these guys!

Need to write a review for additional discount?
The job is not finished so all I have to base on is interaction with tech.
Friendly and seems quite knowledgable, but cost seems high.
Company will not quote job guesstimate over phone which is understandable, but a ball park number would have been helpful.
With final cost around $2,500.00 I would have searched for additional bids.

I called to tell them I had a clogged kitchen sink and the receptionist said they would be out between noon and 2pm.  They arrived at 2-ish and Rick was the first person out.  He ran his big restaurant size snake twice and still couldn't get the line cleaned.

I had to go to the vet and pick up puppies that had been their for dew claws removal.  I told them I'd be 20 mins at the most.  While I was there I got a call from their office to say they had to leave but they would send someone out later that afternoon.  I waited from 3pm until almost 8pm for someone to arrive.

I called twice asking when they would be sending someone and was told as soon as the rep finished the job he was on they would be out.  Carlos is who came at almost 8pm and only had his small size snake.  He said he'd hit a hard spot and it wouldn't go any further so I was probably going to have to have a new line installed.  He said depending on the length of the line it could run anywhere from 2000.00 to 5000.00.  Holy Moly..!!! I'm a senior, husband retired and in the hospital and I don't have that kind of money.

While he was packing up though he started running water and lo and behold we found he had loosened the clog and water was running... Thank the good Lord!!!  So far so good... I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  Cost to have them out was 420.00 including tax... they did give us a senior discount and a 59.00 discount and the 99.00 response charge was applied to the total of the invoice...

Would I use again... maybe.... but I'll be looking around more for reviews and pricing before I would even consider re-piping...

UPDATE:  AFTER A MESSAGE THEY LEFT FOR ME SAYING SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG BUT GLAD THEY GOT THE JOB DONE..... REALLY???

I've change my stars from 3 to 1 because of the fact that this company just doesn't get it..

Took from 2:30 in the afternoon until 9 pm that night.  They left in the middle of the job while I had to go pick up pups at the vet that had been there 6 hours and should have been picked up earlier... and then you sent another plumber out at 7:30 at night after I called two times wanting to know when he'd be there.  No, I don't consider that service, let alone good CUSTOMER SERVICE. And then, in going over my invoice I saw I was just given a flat rate for the service, not showing a break down for the services rendered.  Didn't show anywhere where the 99.00 trip charge was credited off the charges for getting the drain running, but the coupon and senior discount showed.  Then I was told if I went to Yelp and gave a good review they would give another 5% discount which they did, but I wasn't going to give a good review in light of the shoddy treatment of workers leaving with no notice and having to wait 5 almost 6 hours to wait for another to show up.

Then when I had to call the NEXT day to have you come back out to tighten connections because they were leaking you said it would be another trip charge of 99.00.... REALLY??? You said that they were only out to unclog a drain, not stop a leak... They have to take the connections apart to get the snake down the drain... they had all my connections apart... they put it back together and now we had a leak.  NO, no trip charge... but better come out and fix what was broken.  They did but that again was at 7:30 at night when I'd called 7 hours prior...  Understanding I was dealing with a husband 7 days in the hospital, a new litter of pups with issues, a car that quit working after dealership had made a new key fob for it and had to go to the shop, and a whole bunch of stress going with a clogged drain and a kitchen torn up... and your company just added ten times more...

I won't be using your service again and suggest other should read the flaming negative reviews of your company, and operating practices. I'm surprised the Better Business Bureau and/or the Attorney General's Office hasn't been notified by now of your poor business practices.. But I believe it's just a matter of time...

I was very satisfied with my experience with Puget Sound P. and H. The lady who answered the phone was easy to communicate with and the technician that came to do the estimate, Jordan was pleasant and professional. I liked the fact he had an apprentice with him, the world needs more reputable plumbers and teaching someone else adds to your workload, so good job Jordan for being the mentor. I did get a second estimate but went with Jordan for the job even though his estimate was higher. Having already paid $99.oo for the first visit was an incentive to have them come back but Jordan's attitude and the company's high level of communication won me over. They replaced the broken item and were done in a timely fashion. They were quiet and tidy and I would call them again next time I need a plumber or heating professional.

Beware of flat-rate charges that are highly inflated!

I needed some non-emergency plumbing work so I consulted Angie's List/HomeAdvisor for a quote.  Puget Sound Heating & Plumbing called very promptly after I submitted my online request and they offered a free consultation.

The plumber came out and quoted me flat-rate costs from a book.  When I told him that the prices were outrageous (e.g $700 to install pop-up assemblies in two sinks!), he asked me how much I'd expected to spend.  When I told him that I'd expected to pay 25% of that price, he said he'd talk to his manager who likely would be able to provide a discount.  Eww - felt as if I were being totally gouged so, needless to say, I did not hire them!!

Give them 5 stars for prompt response time and  -1 star for business practices!

I called Puget Sound Plumbing to my home to give me a quote. Their tech name Steve was very pushy.  He gave me a very high quote to install a hot water tank.  Over $4,000.  Beyond over priced!  He insisted he do the job now.  I told him not today.  He charged me $2,250 for the service call.  He took advantage of a woman.  Tried to reached them to settle the over charged service charge but their manager name Chris is not returning my calls.  They are crooks!  They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people.

Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating will not provide estimates, even when it is reasonable to do so. We had a leaking toilet. My wife tried to get an estimate to replace the flush mechanism and float. Unfortunately she agreed to let them come without securing some ballpark cost for the work. They provided a $600 estimate to do the work. Meanwhile, I called Beacon Plumbing another local outfit that gave me a $200 estimate for the same work. We were out the $108.41 visit fee, and I refuse to ever call them again. When I called to complain about this shakedown, I was informed that my wife's call to them was recorded, and if we didn't pay the site visit by the next day then it would be sent to collections.

FYI - I eventually bought a new toilet at Lowes. When the Lowes installer showed up, he asked me why I was replacing the toilet then proceeded to tell me all it needed was a $5 gasket.

You don't want to do business with these PSP&H characters!!!

Brand new, first time home owner and I come home to significant water damage coming from the walls upstairs and flooding 2 rooms downstairs. Devastated! Rick and Mike came out first thing in the morning and found and fixed the problem within 30 minutes! I got tears in my eyes, thanking them for the immediate relief they brought to us! They even hooked us up with a follow up crew to fix the sheetrock and help with drying, and eased us with clear explanation on how the insurance process will work out. These guys saved my home and saved my Christmas! I couldn't be more satisfied!

Stay away from them! They over charge their  work! I got them from Amazon service. I trusted Amazon to filter out bad providers but I was wrong. They charge $99 for dispatch fee to inspect the toilet, then $469 to pull and reset the toilet. Then after they took out the toilet, they saw it was missing a flange kit and charge me another $417 for installed the flange kit.  With discounts, They charged me $900 in the end to reset a toilet and add a flange kit.  Other places only charge $300 or less!  I asked them to break down their cost and labour and they refused to do so saying this is a fixed job charge and can't separate parts and labour. They say they charge expensively because they have a 30 day warranty. But other providers do the same for much cheaper!

I called them for a price dispute and the only thing I got was a $99 coupon for the next job. I will never ask them to do anything ever again!

I can't say how lame this company is. They sent two so-called plumbers to investigate a dishwasher that wouldn't drain. After just glancing under the kitchen sink, they wrote me up an invoice for their visit ($99) and a price list for a $3500 new dishwasher or a $700 new air pipe and hose. They couldn't tell me which one would solve my problem, so they told me to guess, and if I guessed wrong, then I'd also have to pay for the other option. They were idiots!
There wasn't even anything wrong with the dishwasher (which they *never* even tested). The next time I ran it, it was fine, and has been ever since. And they refused to give me my $99 back for the sales pitch.

I feel taken advantage of. We needed a plumber to fix a few things in our rental before we could finish closing on purchasing it and were in a time crunch. While the guys were friendly, they way over charged us for things we needed done and told us they'd give us a discount if we wrote a good yelp review....I will never call again.

Don't use them!  I called and made an appointment as I had a leak in the garage ceiling.  They said about 1 hour.  1 1/2 hours later they called and said he was not going to come.  Had to have the city come and shut off water at street until I could get another plumber to come the next day.

If I could give them NEGATIVE 5 stars I would. This is a long overdue review but I had Puget Sound Plumbing come out to check my AC before it got too hot in the summer and to fix the thermostat on my heater. The guy who showed up didn't know anything and claimed my AC worked fine (which we later found out was untrue; it was out of freon so didn't blow cold air which we didn't know until we tried to use it a few months later) and that he couldn't do anything about my heater because I didn't have the user manual, and then just tried to sell me their heating system. Then to top it all off he CHARGED ME $108 (incl tax) AFTER HAVING DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because they charge $99 to come out. TOTAL SCAM!! Wasted my time and took my money. I really wish I had read the Yelp reviews before I called but got a flyer and it seemed ok and local so decided to give them a try. Bad mistake.

I was completely ripped off by this company. Twice for the same job and $ 1200 each time in a span of 5 days. I did not shop around because my tenant was inconvenienced. And this is beyond robbery.
My neighbor was also quoted the same amount by the same artists but he got the job done for $ 300; and by a Mercer Island based company!
Fry in hell! Never see me again for ANY reason!! God bless your utterly sorry soul. Deal with it.

These folks showed up on time (good) but completely wasted my time faffing about with my broken gas furnace. They said it was just throwing lots of error codes and it would be too many parts to fix it and refused to elaborate on what the errors actually were. Then they left without telling me and emailed me a quote for a furnace replacement. If I'd known they weren't even going to bother diagnosing the issue, I would have scheduled a number of other people the same day for a last minute repair. Ridiculous.

I waited for this company to come yesterday and was told just 15 minutes before my 2 hour time-slot that they were running late and wouldn't be able to come until another 1.5 hours after my 2 hour window expired. Since I had changed my work schedule to accommodate them I was frustrated but wanted to give them another chance, so I scheduled with them after work the following day. (Again changing plans in order to accommodate a 2 hour window from 6-8pm in hopes they would come and do the work I hired them to do).  Alas At 515pm I was called and told, I'm sorry we don't gave a technician that can come    tonight, and we don't have anyone available until next week.  I am not sure if others have had this experience with this company, but this is a troubling thing to experience as a customer, this company did not value my time and I changed my plans to accommodate them. I wanted others to be aware of this treatment, just Incase they want to avoid it for themselves.

I was told the charge for an estimate was $99, so when Taylor arrived he gave me the estimate of $600 to replace a kitchen faucett! I WAS STUNNED and no thanks, so I got charged the estimate PLUS TAX $108. He said it would take 2 hours and because the was a farmhouse sink it was more complicated and things would fall on his face. Goodbye.

As soon as he left I called Beacon and with 30 mins they where at my door, charged me $235 and the job was completed in 45!!! HOT DOG.

Lesson leaned for $108, call BEACON for any plumbing and Heating Service you might need.

For your own good, find out more about this establishment before engaging them to do any work for you. I learned the hard way: called them to work on my toilet leak without checking out their reputation or the lack of it. (You can see it for yourself in other postings of Yelp.)
Toilet has a leak in water tank and cannot be fixed. Toilet need to be replaced and the technician has a toilet in truck and proceed to replace the old toilet. Charge: $1,200 of my hard earned money.
They will not provide a breakdown of the cost. Here's my breakdown:
New Toilet: approx $200, Labor: approx $150 per hour. Charge for 2 hours of work around $300. Reasonable total charge $500 to $600.
Talked to their operation manager Chris and he insist that they will not provide any breakdown of costs. This is just another indication that they intend to ripoff whoever uses their service, without reasonable justification.

Avoid this outfit!!!  Bear with me.   I had a downstairs water leak.  They did the camera inspection and the plumber showed me the break in the line and explained why the water was showing up on the surface of the tile.  He recommended a new 8-10 ft replacement line which would require breaking out the tile floor.  Job would be one day and his estimate was over $12,000!!!!  I got two other inspections and both indicated that there was NO break in that line at all.  It was determined that the water leak was from the UP STAIRS kitchen sink drain line!!!  At best this was a very bad misdiagnosis and at worst something more calculated and VERY suspicious!!!

Don't do it. Find another company. We were manipulated from the start. Called the company, spoke to a dispatch lady who informed me that someone could come out and identify the leak for $99. If we chose to go with them to resolve the issue, that $99 would be absorbed into the cost to fix it. The technician came out, started shutting off valves. Then paused to inform me that to proceed, it would cost $550 for an hour and run a test. After I explained to the technician that the dispatcher informed us that they could determine the cause of the leak for $99. The technician said that we were misinformed. I declined any further service and call the dispatch back to express our disappointment. It's clear that she must get calls like this often, because she was immediately defensive and flat out lied, saying she never informed us that they will determine where the leak was for $99. SCAMMERS. This was a waste of time.

We had Steve come out and help us with installing a new faucet. He was extremely professional and worked efficiently within his time period. Steve has multiple recommendations and cost points in which he was able to help us with our price point. This was important to us because we live on the fourth floor of a condo and getting a plumber is not always easy. I would highly recommend Steve to anyone who is looking for a highly effective plumber and overall great person that you can trust with your home!

I signed up for a yelp account just to write this review.  Be forewarned if you are thinking about using this company.  They are dishonest.
Our hot water tank started to leak on Dec 22.  We called a few plumbing companies and puget sound plumbing and heating were the first to come out. A plumber named Dave came out.  We needed a new tank so he gave us an estimate.  For a 50 gallon Rheem Direct/Power vent including install, we were given an estimate of $4315.05 plus tax.  To compare, we were also given an estimate of $4787.25 for a tankless system.  In the estimate, there is no breakdown of how much the parts are and how much labor costs.  We decided to call around.  Other estimates were around $2800 for the same tank and install.  We ultimately went with home depot which was even less.  Not going to go into anymore detail, but the numbers should tell you something about their business practice.

I had a flooding problem from a downstairs toilet. I fixed the toilet. Unrelated to flooding (but required to be repaired prior to home owners insurance assessment the next morning) I had a p-trap dripping from an upstairs shower.
They agreed to be here between 2-2:30. Showed up between 5-5:30. The estimate for the job was $1411.44. It had to be done before morning for my insurance adjuster so I felt compelled to have them do the repair as it was too late to get another plumber out. Repair statement, Shower drain and trap-3 piece, installed/replaced, adapting to existing piping. The repair took less than 2.5 hours. The leak was repaired with no problems. I felt the cost was too high for the repair.
Chris, the manager reached out to me and we discussed my frustration. We came to an amicable resolution to my problem.

Buyer Beware.  I contacted PSP&H on a leaking shower head.  They said they could have someone out this afternoon to take a look.  The gentleman contacted me after taking a look and said the shower likely needed a new cartridge.  ($24 - $38).  I asked him how much and he quoted me $350 plus tax in ADDITION to the $99 fee to come to the house.  I asked him to verify for me that this was likely a 15 minute to 30 minute job, inclusive of testing the shower and turning back on the water his explanation was, Yeah, we are a fixed price plumbing shop  Whether it takes 30 minutes or 3 hours, the price is the same.

I certainly appreciate the fact that there is a convenience factor of NOT having to drive out to Issaquah to do this myself.  For that convenience I would have GLADLY have paid $200.  Based on my math, this would be about $100 margin on a $200 job assuming the part is $50 and the plumbers wage is the other $50 - $75.

Anyway....I can't speak to the quality of the work as we never got that far.  Wish I would have checked out YELP first.

I caution anyone who is reading this looking for another review for Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating. Do NOT use this business for any services. When the guys came out to assess the job they first of all charge $100 to merely show up. Red flag number 1. After being given a huge estimate I called my husband who was traveling out of state. He stepped out of his meeting and told me to have them stop digging. It had been 5 minutes, max. I told them I wanted to verify w/my husband so they knew about that. Once they stopped we decided to get more estimates and wait until my husband got home. They tried to charged me $350 of which I told the man at the office I would pay $200 then but the rest to bill me. He proceeded to question if I even had the money to get the repair done. He was condescending. He proceeded to bash Yelp reviewer and say it was a site for people to complain. Btw I've written only good except for this. I then was contacted by an awesome employee, Rachel, who wanted to rectify the situation by refunding my $. I agreed to this and after taking down my original review I have had to contact them NUMEROUS times to try to get the refund they offered to begin with. It has been over 4 months now and it's not even about the $ at this point. Be warned. This company had no integrity, lack of respect for customers and I highly recommend to avoid doing and repairs with them. Aside from the employee Rachel I have only terrible experiences with the guy, Eric I believe his name is. When I called to explain I took my review down he said he still sees them on BBB which he Shiism know that once you post a review with them you can't take it down. Says so on the first page. He proceeded to tell me my review was still on Facebook, which by the way I have never used that social media site... bottom line- you'll get screwed by a Alie & cheat that runs this company. Oh & I ended up getting the repair for over $1,000 less. Cahill's is who I went with. I recommend you do the same!

I had a plumbing emergency and was unable to find anyone available to come out to Camano Island. I called and they were able to get a plumber out right away. They were here and checked everything to make sure the leaking had stopped and they continued to check everything until they were sure everything was taken care of. I appreciate them being quick, courteous and professional. Ben walked me through step by step what he was doing and kept me informed of what they were finding.

They did tell me when I called that the dispatching fee was not going to be used towards any work and that it was just a dispatching fee. There was no confusion about this at all. They were completely upfront about fees and did no work without telling me what was what. I appreciated that very much!

One word - opportunists. I wish I had read these yelp reviews before having them come to my home. I am so embarrassed that I let them overcharge me but i was worried about leaking water.
The cost to replace the cold water connector on the washing machine was over $400. And guess what - the cost to replace the hot water one was over $200 - this was done at within 30 minutes total = $700. Each service they provided cost no less then $179. It added up quickly to almost $3000. I was foolish to accept these prices and when all was said and done I realized that the plumbers labor rate was around $400 per hour.
Do surgeons even make that much?

If I could give less stars I would.  They were an absolute rip off.  They (Adam was service tech with other guy) did three hours worth of work and charged me $4,159.91 to fix a leaking union on my water main.  Is plumbing job worth more than $1,000 an hour?
If you don't want to get ripped off, find someone else.  They were able to come out within a few days, I'm guessing because they done have enough work because they cheat you.  Wait the few extra days for someone who won't charge you $1,000+ an hour.
Update:
They called me and offered to give me $100 to remove my review.  I told them they overcharged me $2,000 and they want me to not warn people for $100?  You decide if this is a company you want to hire.

We wanted a utility sink installed and called these guys up as they had done some work for the previous owners of the house.

Two techs showed up and didn't seem too thrilled to be there. They looked over the existing plumbing and made it sound like an easy job. I asked for a quote and was blown away by how high it was. After literally 5 minutes of discussion, they cut the price in half. Even then I felt it was way over priced. I said I would think about it and get back to them.

Next day I called a diff plumber that we have used before and based on a picture I had taken, he was able to quote me over the phone a price that was 1/4 of the half price quote these guys gave me.

Needless to say I kissed the $110 service call fee goodbye and chose the plumber we had used before.

Overpiced, cocky and dishonest (odd that 51 of their reviews are filtered???)

Understand the $50 dispatch fee and didn't seem that bad when I initially thought that it would be applied to my bill.  BUT, then a couple of young guys arrive and give me some outrageous quotes for some basic plumbing.  One of which was to simply cap two 1/2 in plastic pipes.  They quoted me $450 for this and claimed it's so expensive because it requires a special tool that costs $400.  After they write up the rest of my quote, they said they could cap the pipes for free if I let them do the rest of the project (amounting to over $4,000).  That obviously showed me that capping the pipes wasn't a big deal if they were offering it for free.

I told them thanks for their time, paid the dispatch fee which ended up being $55 (for some reason included tax - how can you charge tax on a service call, and service call only?  I'll have to talk with an accountant about that one - seems sketchy, but I guess fitting).

5 minutes later a quick google search found that I could buy two Sharkbite End Stops at Home Depot for about $10 and very, very easily solve this problem on my own.  What happened to needing a $400 tool...

I'm sure they find their business out there, which is too bad.  I'll certainly be looking elsewhere for my larger plumbing needs.  I really was looking to support a small local business, but they sure blew it.

Do not use this company.  They over charged me once for a sump pump which less than 6 months later did not pass a home inspection so I called them back thinking that they would make it right, but they only said that it was a valve which cost me $741.  Later I was told by another plumber that it was a $50. part which should have been replaced with the sump pump for which I paid $1600.   I never would have called them back, but thought that they would make it right.  They really took advantage of my lack of knowledge, urgent situation and my age.  NEVER, NEVER use this company.  I did contact them before I wrote this review to see if they would make it right, but they never got back to me.

These guys are awesome. I can't say enough good things about this business. Our store was flooded by a busted pipe hidden in the ceiling and these guys took care of our concerns. They came out quickly, fixed the problem, and reassured us that the problem would not persist. To be honest, it's hard to find truly good businesses these days, and these guys exhibited the utmost professionalism. I'm glad I found them by happenstance and that they took care of our family business.

HORRIBLE!!! RUN AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM... called on wed for sat morning appointment. Showed up 4 hours late. Asked for two pin hole repairs on the water heater hose; did not get repair cost instead, I got estimate of $1200 remove and replaced. Called office to have manager call back on monday. No call received from office. Not to mention shawn or sean likes to yell at you and hang the phone up on you.
I went to Home Depot with pic and estimate  and got upgraded materials. paid $200 for brass fittings, tank and copper pipe.

I highly CAUTION you to use this business unless you want to throw several thousand dollars down the toilet. I have never written a bad review (negative if I could), but I want to help people considering this company save thousands of dollars.

Sept. 2012, we contacted Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating (Seattle) for deals they were running on tankless water heaters.  Elliot came out and highly advised against a tankless, but highly recommended the latest hybrid heat pump AirTap tank by AirGenerate that has a lifetime warranty.  Install went fine and Elliot was great to come back out to fix a few things as needed and was very responsive.

Sept. 2013 right at the 1 year mark, a loud alarm was audible throughout our large 2 story home that wouldn't stop at all hours in the middle of the night. I took time away from work be home to have this serviced.  First tech didn't even know how to work on these units.  That was a waste of everyone's time.  So I had to take more time off work so Drew (the tech could work on these units) could come out during a certain window.  Nearing the end of the provided window, I would get a call from the coordinator that he wasn't able to make it and needed to reschedule.  After 4 times of me taking time off work and rescheduling, I wasn't as nice and came across frustrated, but still mindful of not being rude (which I had every right to be, but wasn't).  So I came across very firm that we could not tolerate this random loud alarm anymore.  Our kitchen was being remodeled at the same time so I asked my amazing contractor if he would be so kind to let Drew in when he needed.  When Drew finally arrived, he walked into the kitchen and asked my contractor literally - where is that b****h.  My contractor was so angry at Drew's unprofessionalism since my contractor knows what a great client I am (after 3 major remodel projects) so he advised Drew to walk away and do his plumbing job.  Turns out Drew couldn't fix it and the unit needed to be replaced which it finally was by another Puget Sound Plumbing tech who hauled the unit on it's side even though the box clearly says not to lay it on it's side.  The tech signed a piece of paper that he did that in case there were any problems.  The owner came out to double check the work and brushed off my horrible experience.

Fast forward to September 2015 as a different alarm has been going off on the new unit and won't stop.  I won't dare contact Puget Sound again after being treated so poorly.  Instead, I got smart and called several true professionals in the area.  I found only 1 person in Seattle that services these units!  He comes out to tell me several problems about this $4K unit with a lifetime warranty:
* The ducting wasn't even attached!
* The fan went out
* The pump went out
* The manufacturer went out of business this year - so no parts are available and there is NO lifetime warranty
* To top it off, the unit should have NEVER ever been installed in the small closet to begin with.  The units are designed to be in a garage with open space so that air can circulate - that is more than likely why 2 of these units have gone bad

I decided to get another opinion from a company that has experience with hybrid water pump tanks and they also came out to look at the situation and gave the exact same opinion that the unit should have never been installed in the closet!

Today, I am investing with a reputable company for a simple storage tank that will be backed up and will service their work.  Unfortunately, what I thought was an investment 3 years ago wasn't and I am out thousands of dollars.  I would never on earth call Puget Sound Plumbing to rectify the situation putting us deeper in a hole.  Rather cut losses now.  So please look elsewhere on Yelp for better companies.  I wish I did.

I called the Seattle office for a repair on my toilet which has a slow leak causing the toilet tank to quietly loose water and refill. I anticipated complete tank gut replacement would be in order. The parts are likely at the most reliable $100 and not more than 1 hour repair. The 2 man crew spent 15 minutes in my bathroom, brought no tools or supplies in the house and then quoted a one line $703. Plus $99 service call. The main guy who likely dictated the price to the younger employee had the younger man come out to show me the price, no breakdown, now explanation.  I'm a single woman in her 50's so perhaps they thought they could bull**** me or they just did not want the job.

Too bad they didn't know I estimate building repairs for a living. I threw them out and called the office to advise I wasn't paying a service call either.

Don't waste your time with this company.

Wow! Maybe this was a Covid-19 ripoff but plumbers just arrived to install a new dishwasher which had already been delivered by reputable appliance company.  They wanted to charge us $747+ dollars to install the new dishwasher.  What the heck!  And he was confrontational - told us that it looked like the new dishwasher would not fit and there may be an extra charge for that.  When in fact dishwasher is exact measurements of previous one; same make just an updated model with same measurements.  Do not use this company.  We felt ripped off and really uncomfortable in our own home.  Additionally, they came into our home at this scary time with no protective gear (no gloves, mask, shoe covers, etc).  We were spraying and wiping everything down and were shocked to see they took no protective measures.  Our bad.  Our lesson learned.  Happy to hand wash dishes until Covid safely behind us and we can get trustworthy plumber here to install at reasonable price.  But it will not be this company.

I called Puget Sound Plumbing for water heater inspection because I received a $59 off coupon from them. The first appointment, no one came and I received a call for rescheduling at the end of the two hour arrival window. The customer service was polite and professional. So, I gave them a second chance. A technician came 30 minutes late for the second appointment. He did nearly nothing as he thought the water heater was fine and they would charge $200 more for a real inspection. I didn't order the real inspection of course. As the other reviewers mentioned, they charge $99 dispatch fee. I think a dispatch fee makes sense but their charge is a bit too high. I assumed that I could use the coupon to reduce the dispatch fee, but the technician didn't accept the coupon. I told him that I need to call their customer service to confirm. He immediately lost patience and became very rude. He said I was wasting his time. He threatened that I had refused to pay the fee and there would be consequences. He jumped in his truck and was leaving. I was scared by his reaction and stopped him to pay the fee. Puget Sound Plumbing has totally ruined my weekend.

Company technician responded to replace two water supply lines to a water heater. Job required cutting existing copper pipe, soldering male adaptor, and connecting two water lines to water heater. Job took just over 1 hour to complete. Bill was $535 and totaled $581 after tax. I was able to speak with the manager (Chris) 2 days after the service. I was informed the price came straight from their book and was considered reasonable. I didn't feel the price was reasonable or fair. He offered to refund me $100 to which I declined. I felt $481 was still over priced for the work. He increased his offer to $150 with the understanding it was in lieu of writing a negative review of the business. I declined his offer, feeling the price was still to high. My complaint is with the pricing or over pricing of service. Seems to be a common complaint among the negative reviews. Was also quoted a price of $315 for installing seismic straps to water heater. Just an idea of their pricing guide.
Learn from my mistakes and go elsewhere.
Clarification on manager's response.  He never offered anything over $150 money back.  He was very adamant that asking for money back above $150 was extortion.  I chose to decline the $150, feeling a price of approximately $431 was still high for the hours worth of work.  He's come up with some price numbers that were never discussed in our phone discussion.
Gives me a new impression on the manager of the business.

When we awoke to a cold house, Ben and David came right over.  It turned out we needed a new furnace, which one of them went and got while the other stayed and removed the old one.
They stayed until the job was complete - until 7:00 pm!  We are still impressed with installing a new furnace in one day.  They were courteous, polite and professional.  We highly recommend them - and have to our neighbors.

After paying $1500 to repair a leak in the waterline. I recently discovered that on 1/3/17 my elderly mother in law (83) had repairs completed by this company.  They repaired two shower valves and one facet that were leaking.  The repairs were completed by Joshua C. and he apparently had an apprentice with him.  They were there for approximately 45 minutes.  The parts for the repairs cost less than $100.00 (not itemized on the bill), yet they charged $1,486.55 plus tax.  I contacted them on 2/20/17 and spoke with Shawn who identified himself as the Customer Service Manager.  I explained to him that surely there must be some mistake.  It seems unreasonable to be charged over $1,000/hour to make a simple plumbing repair.  His explanation was that they have a book that they use to price their services and don't charge by the hour.  I asked him if he would be happy paying the prices listed in their book at over $1,000 an hour.  He would not answer that question, but kept referring to his book.  I'm not sure what book Shawn was referring to, but perhaps the book is what is wrong in this situation, or perhaps it was interpreted incorrectly by Puget Sound Plumbing.

I have spoken with several plumbers as well as the estimator at Consolidated Plumbing Supply.  All felt that a reasonable charge for the services provided would not exceed $500.  I am therefore requesting that a refund of approximately $1,000 is fair and still allows Puget Sound Plumbing a marginally acceptable rate of $400/hour

Our toilet kept on running, and it was a comfort height.  So my short self, and my son hate it.  We called them on Wednesday at around 4:30pm, and managed to get someone out on Thursday morning. They finished a prior job early, and the office asked if I was availiable to have them come a bit early, said, yes.

They came out and checked it and gave an estimate for replacing or repairing it. I opted to get a shorter one. They had to go pick one up for me, I have an odd floor plan, so a standard size would not fit, I knew this going in. So they still managed to get one, and install it the same day.
The two fellows worked quickly, and got the new one in place.  I didn't compare costs to other plumbers, but it did not seem unreasonable for the work they did.  They did not make a mess, they cleaned up after they were done.  As good an experience as one can have when you have you have plumbing issues.

Had them install my bathroom vanity fixture and replaced the waterlines for the sink and the toilet.  $1200.  I felt that it was WAY over priced but I needed it done because i hurt my back and could not do it myself.  After it was done, and $1200 later, the toilet leaked and I fixed it myself.

Was talking to a neighbor and his friend.  Just so happened his friend was a plumber.  I told him how much I was charged for the two jobs and he rolled his eyes and said, I do not know how people like that can sleep at night!  He said that on the high end, he would have charged not more than $400 including parts.

Lesson learned, but at least I found an honest plumber that i can call in the future.

The plumbers were very courteous and did the work in a timely manner. Will definitely call them again for any further plumbing or heating needs. If I could give zero stars I would. Service was promised between 2-4 for a plumbing issue- main line clog. I phone at 4 when no one showed. I was told then someone could come between 5-7. When they came they didn't have the correct equipment to unclog the line. I called to express my concern and was yelled at by the receptionist. They came back the following day and wanted to charge roughly $1,500 to snake the line. This included $220.55 to take off the toilet and put it back on. I said the last company had to get on the rough to snake the drain they said they would not do that. I told them to leave and called someone else who fixed it for $360.

The reviewer who posted 9/1/2016 is the franchisee of the restaurant where the work was done. I represent the ownership of the property, who is ultimately stuck with the bill for this work. Yes, Puget sound Plumbing arrived on an emergency call after 6pm and quickly fixed the issue. However, this small leak ended up with a price of about $2,000.

The plumber on-site called me with the estimate, and I told him I had little choice but to approve it, as the leak was inundating a restaurant and had to be fixed right away.

Still, I feel this company grossly overcharged. I called their business manager and all she had to say to me was that the restaurant had posted a 5 star review. I guess Puget Sound Plumbing is happy with a handful of 5 stars, just a few 4 stars, and the VAST bulk of their reviews in the 1-2 star range.

Says all that needs to be said,. Overpriced, inconsiderate, and not well liked by the Yelp community....

Use at your own risk and EXPENSE.

Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating came out to my house and fixed all of our plumbing issues. I called several other companies before I decided to use this company. Puget Sound Plumbing had professional people answering their calls and scheduling appointments. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants a professional job done well and timely. This review is a long time in the coming. On 6/16/15  we were moving and had a slight water leak at our water heater. Service tech Ben shows up and tells us that we just need to have a new elbow joint installed . No big deal. But since we had a moving truck in front of our house, he gave me an estimate of $586.70 to fix it. I told him that was crazy and he said, maybe, but what am I going to do as he turns and looks at the moving truck. He showed what kind of person he was and what kind of company this is by taking advantage of someone in a situation like that. Go elsewhere! They will screw you!

Horrible company- and a business model that will eventually fail the business.  We called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating early on a Sunday morning, after moving into our house the night before and found we had no hot water, and the kitchen sink was completely clogged.  After multiple calls explaining that if they could not come, please let us know so we can call another plumbing company.  They ASSURED us they would come out, but it would be close to 5:00 pm.  We waited all day, and at 6:00 pm, I called them (they did not even have the courtesy to call us!) to see when they were showing up since they were an hour late-  I was told, Sorry, our guy cannot make it tonight.   No phone call, waiting all day, do yourself a huge favor and STAY AWAY from Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating.   BTW, I called Beacon, and explained what had happened and they called someone in just to take care of our problem.

Avoid this company. Incompetent people who lie and cheat.
They diagnosed that to stop leakage of sewage water, I should replace pump and clean tanks.  They charged me $1750 to replace the pump and cleaning. After few days, I notice the same problem. They bring in the sub-contractor and realize actually pipeline is broken and want me to foot the bill ($400-$500) for the job.
Besides financial matters, their work can risk your health and safely. I trusted them to fix problem but sewage water continued to spread for several days. There are other horrible stories as well. If you have had same experience, please contact. These people should not have license to work.

I called this company because I also had one of their coupons.  My issue was a small crack and leak in the fliexible pipe that leads up from my hot water heater and carries water into the house.  I thought it would be an inexpensive part and it would take a plumber just a few minutes to remove the old pipe and install a new one.  I was surprised to find that they wanted $535 to do this.  The plumber also recommended another part that he said was required by code, and that the total for both items was going to be $1173.  When I said that was a lot more than I was expected to fix the one small problem that I called about, so I would like to get other quotes, he stormed out of my house in a huff and did not even say bye or something like thanks, let us know if we can help you with that.  He didn't replace the pipe with the crack, and never explained why he could not just replace that one item.  When I called their office to complain, the person I spoke with was argumentative and defensive.  At one point he said I was changing my story...no, I was not changing my story, I was telling you more things I did not like about my experience with the plumber.

After the plumber left my house, I tried calling several other companies to see if someone else could replace that pipe for a reasonable cost.  I ended going to Home Depot and found the replacement part/pipe for under $30 and replaced it myself in under an hour, including the trip to Home Depot and watching a 3 minutes YouTube Video on how to install the pipe (and I have no idea what I am doing.)  They had that part on their truck and could have replaced it in 10 minutes and solved my problem.  They wanted $535 for something they could have done in less time then they spend talking about it.  There are many other plumbers out there, don't waste your time or money here.

Don't even bother calling these jokers, it would be a waste of your time. Had them come out to estimate running 20 feet of gas pipe for a new gas kitchen range. The estimate was over $2,700!!! I'm a home inspector with over 14 years experience (and told them so up front), the job shouldn't cost over 1k. To add insult to injury, Matthew the plumber/estimater had the slimiest, creepiest smirk on his face as he looked me in the eye and gave me the estimate. That's robbery and immoral. Robert and his colleague went above and beyond the call of duty.
They were extremely professional and courteous.  They worked late on a Sunday to  fix a complicated plumbing issue regarding c-pvc pipes that another plumber broke.
They were able to make tiny cutouts on the walls to fix the broken pipes, without having to tear the wall open.
They didn't hesitate to inspect the crawl space for water damage.  They were tidy, and cleaned up any mess they had to make.  They also used high-quality materials in their repair job.

Robert gave me a callback the next day to ensure that things were still working well.

I would recommend them any time.

I called Puget sound due to a friends recommendation and I'm sure glad I did. The dispatcher I spoke with was very clear that there would be a $50 charge to come out to quote me on the work which I think is appropriate, these guys are taking time to come out to look at the problem and if I used them it would be counted to my service, understandable time is money people!

Drew and his apprentice James showed up and were very clear what needed to be done to fix the leak and provided me with a quote. After talking with my husband we agreed that it was a fair price and would have them complete the work after having a few other companies come out to give a free quote we thought the professionalism was worth the extra money. SO happy with how the work was done and how quickly I had my shower back!

We have used Puget Sound Plumbing several times now for various issues in our condo. Adam was the technician who was sent out to us, and he did an awesome job of repairing our valves to our kitchen sink, the fixture to our bathtub, and both our toilet tanks in our bathrooms. We asked Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating to take a look at our hot water heater, which was leaking from the bottom, to determine if repair was possible or replacement necessary.  The service technician removed a bottom plate, peered at the rust and told us the tank was done and needed to be replaced. That 3 minute conversation cost us $108. In fairness to them, they told us the service call would be $100.

We asked for a quote on installing a new 50 gal tank direct vent hot water heater.   The technician went out to his vehicle with his helper, returned a few minutes later looking rather sheepish ... and quoted us $3700 for a tank or $5400 for a tankless installation!!! When I commented that their price was much higher than what I expected, the helper's response was that most businesses do not install straps for earthquake protection.

Sad and infuriating that they decided to try to take advantage of us.  We now have a brand new quality 50 gal tank hot water heater, installed and working well for well under $1000.

Really great work, and amazing communication skills.

Contractors are rarely known for their tact, hence my amazement at the way these technicians were able to handle our particular situation. We hired this company to perform a home safety inspection followup of the plumbing of the home we are in the process of purchasing.

Right as we were discussing one of the more unsafe fixtures in the home, the homeowner dropped in. I was very impressed the way that Chris and his partner handled themselves. They managed to politely inform the homeowner that the renovations were not to code, and were dangerous in some cases, all while deescalating the conflict.

At the end of the engagement I was extremely relieved that I called Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating for help.

Oh, and they gave a complete rundown of costs, why those changes were necessary, and I was able to contact them afterwards for a quick question I had forgotten to ask. I'm very happy with the service they gave, and will be utilizing them for any/all of my future plumbing needs.

I have never felt so ripped-off in my entire life!!!  First of all you better get it in writing if you want a free estimate.  I scheduled an appointment for them to install an under the sink water-filter (Apec) they arrived over 4 hours late, and told me it would cost over $1,100.00 to install it.  I was in shock because others will install the same unite for $200.00 - $250.00.  They arrived after 6:00pm and I think they wanted to go home so they wrote an unbelievably high estimate, knowing I wouldn't accept it and made me pay them $100.00 for the four minutes they were in my house.  I attempted to talk to a manager or owner the next day about what had happened and was told they weren't available and would call me back.  They never called me back!

I called Issaquah Plumbing (for a job in Issaquah by the way) & somehow this company showed up in a big truck with 2 guys. I had waited 3 days for a service & a 2 hour window for them to arrive, so I figured what the heck I will give them a try. The main guy/the driver was cranky at best, but again I thought well he could of had a bad day. I did ask about Iss Plumbing and he said they are out of business (look em up..they are listed with reviews), so I have no idea what to make of that. Knowing the repair was the simple replacement of the plunger gadget inside the tank, it was definitely going to be the minimum service call, which seems to be about $250. The part is about $65 at Home Depot and I was quoted $480 + tax to replace. I asked how long it would take to fix and he said about 20 min. I'm all for people being paid industry rates, but this was robbery. He said it cost him $300 just to bring the truck to me. My comment back was that I thought I was calling a local company in Issaquah, not someone who drove 2 hours to get here, in a huge truck, with 2 guys. Through conversation, he dropped his price down to $410 and found me a coupon. I made the comment this was grossly overpaying, which made him very angry. He stormed out of the house saying screw this, I don't need this. His #2 was a nice man and shrugged his shoulders and off they went. In reading the reviews now that I know who they are, this is not a company I would have called for service, so it's pretty frustrating to have them show up. Something is broken in the way this company does business.

I called with an emergency on a Friday afternoon. They were not far away so their dispatcher said they could come. She quoted a $99.00 show-Up fee plus. I told her it was a simple job - I had flushed a can of whole beets down the toilet and they were clogging the line. My plunger cleared it a bit but I was expecting company that weekend and wanted to make sure the line was totally clear. They showed up, used a 6 foot snake for about 60 seconds and charged me $250.00  Total price-gouging. Scott was talking fast out of both sides of his mouth about the bill.  I would never call them again and I don't recommend that anyone else does either. There are plenty of honest plumbing businesses out there and this isn't one of them.

Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating installed a new gas water heater for a total price of $2,344.29 which was high but I was anxious to have my tenant have hot water.  This hot water heater has only a 30 day warranty which is incredible.  I called to find out how a new water heater could only have a 30 day warranty, I was told I saved $300 by not having a warranty.  This was not explained to me when the installation was done.  I know I paid too much for the installation because of the pressure to provide hot water to my tenant.  I can deal with that but a 30 day warranty on a new water heater?  That is really low down.  I am also going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the manufacturer.

They never even gave me a chance to review them.  I called on Thursday night with a plumbing emergency.  They said they would be at my home the next day between 2-4.  At 4, I called them and they were stuck at a job many miles away.  Then they called me about 4:20 and said they would be at my place in 35 min (hmm...they were in Kirkland and I am in Maple Valley, the traffic in this area is not that good). Then they called and said the truck broke down, but they can come at 7:15 pm.  Then they called and said they couldn't make it but would be at my home this morning between 9 and 11.  Well, they just called and said someone called in sick and won't make it until 11.  I canceled and called another plumber who had much better reviews on Yelp.  I hope they don't stand me up, I am leaving town tomorrow. Wish I would have checked Yelp first.

Not even worth one star, but that is the lowest that I can give.  Terrible customer service for those who have issues with eternal tankless water heaters.  They touted them as the best thing since sliced bread.  Okay...I fell for them, but it has been nothing but issues.  Spent over 6000.00 for the system and installation and now that they want to replace it, they want to charge me 1000.00 more (half of the installation charge) to install a different tankless solution.  They said that they don't make any money off of 1000.00 installation charge...Hard to believe.  The lady melissa, which is the owners relative, would not let me talk to the owner when I had a complaint.  They were suppose to contact me on 2/27 to schedule a date for installation of the new system.  They never contacted me.  I filled out a BBB complaint and now they call. Melissa stated that they can not help people who fill out BBB complaints.  This company and the owner(s) think that they can hold people hostage, but I have had enough.  I will continue to complain and let everyone know that this company does not stand behind their products or service.

Don't do business with this company, unless you want to have heartache.  Melissa is suppose to be the relative of the owner, she was so rude.  She hung the phone up on me.  Who does that...and stays in business?

Go elsewhere for you plumbing and heating needs.

They clearly didn't know how to repair my hot water heater and essentially said if it didn't have a control panel that gave them a code they could look up online, they had to replace it, for over $6000. First, I can buy a new tankless heater for $1000 at Home Depot rather than the $5000 unit I was quoted, and second, lack of knowledge doesn't mean you just replace because it's easier. Just tell me you don't know how to repair it. I found someone else that did the repair that same day, in less than 30 minutes, and for $250. I now have hot water, and I know who not to call in the future.

I had a pipe burst under my house and started to panic. I called numerous plumbers and Puget Sound Plumbing was the only one who could come right away. Not only were they fast to respond, the plumber they sent was so professional and went above and beyond to make sure that leak was fixed and checked to see if we had other problem areas. Even though they weren't the first I called, I am so glad they were the ones for the job. I have found my go to plumber.

I was heading to France for a month and needed a plumber, quickly. I called other companies but PSPH agreed to come immediately and did. They diagnosed my problem  and of course, like other plumbing companies they were NOT cheap. But I was stuck and do not have an uncle Al to help. They definitely worked with me on the pricing, especially Chase who was extremely sensitive to the issue of cost. Thanks!!!

Never, never, never use this company for your plumbing needs.  All the one-star ratings you see here are well deserved.  We just paid $960 (plus tax) for the installation of a disposal that retails for less than $200.  Bad on us for not shopping more carefully.  We were in a hurry.  So that works out to $760 for less two hours of labor by two plumbers.  Having done this work in the past myself, I'm a little puzzled by the need for two plumbers.  Buyer beware.

Unfortunately, I cannot give a rating less than 1!

I had a very simple job to do: remove my existing dishwasher and replace it with a new one that I had bought. Both these dishwashers are from the same brand: GE Profile performance.

I had called around an talked with family and friends and found that a cost of $120 to $150 was a reasonable cost for getting this work done. In fact Home Depot, Loew's, Albert Lee etc. also quote the same.

I called Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating and gave them the job description and was told that a basic installation would cost around $99.00 and if there was any complication or extra work then there would be an extra cost. That sounded reasonable and I booked an appointment.

Two guys showed up about an hour late and after looking at the job gave me an estimate of $650.00 to remove my existing dishwasher and install the new dishwasher.
When I asked for an explanation of the cost, he said that is what it would cost - no explanation. My dishwasher cost is in the same ball park, this is daylight robbery.
Plus I had to pay a dispatch fee of $99.00 even if I did not get any work done.

I called the home office to confirm why I was being charged such a large amount and why was I not told about the dispatch fee when I had first called. While I was speaking to the lady on the phone, the guy just handed me the bill, banged my door and left - how rude and unprofessional is this.

I described this event to the lady on the phone and instead of apologizing for the act of her plumber, she condoned his behavior as natural since I did not want them to do the job. Great!!!

She also went on the record to say that I should have been told about the dispatch cost, which I clearly refuted. I even asked her to go check her phone logs if they keep a recording - she said she would have to have her manager do that.

Please be aware of this scamming plumbing company.

Called them in a pinch a few months ago.  The guy didn't know what he was doing and was rude. Charged me $350 to tell me to call an electrician and left me with no running water. I at least had cold water prior to the rip off.  All pregnant women need flushing toilets! I will never call them again!

Similar to so many reviews these guys are outrageously over priced and smug.  To replace a section of a leaking drain pipe that was easily accessible they quoted $950 and went on explain how they have to cut into walls and bunch more crap.  These guys are dishonest crooks.  They must think consumers are bunch of idiots.  I had the drain pipe replaced by a 30 year veteran plumber for $100.  Avoid these dudes like Eboli.

Questionable on a few levels. My electric water heater started leaking over the holiday weekend. The other company referred by Home Depot was hard to reach but provided a quote by phone and a choice of water heaters. However, they couldn't come out same day. This company would not give an over the phone quote and collected no details about my water heater beyond the nature of the problem. They said the estimate was free, but did not mention the trip charge until I said to cancel the visit if there was a charge. They then said they would waive it. The guy then gets lost and I get a call to confirm my address. He shows up with his partner and tells me that I need earthquake straps. I am also told there are 2 water heaters in the truck. One is gas, the other electric. I am asked which one I want. Seriously? Are you a professional? He then goes off to his truck to write the estimate and returns with an estimate at least 60% higher than the other company. I decide I can wait one more day and tell him thanks but no thanks. He tries to change my mind by talking about the importance of being licensed bonded and insured. Like the other company isn't. Wholly unprofessional. Will not call them again.

I made the mistake of just googling a random plumber to clear a clog in my main sewer line and ended up with this company. They got off to a bad start by showing up late. Then charged me a very steep price of over $3,100 to install a clean out and clear the roots from the line. With sewage backing up into my bathtub and just went with it to get it cleared but definitely overpaid. They left to go get a jackhammer and took over 4 hours to come back without any call to update me that they were going to take so long. They cleared the line but after told me they have no warranty on their work of clearing the line so if it backs up again too bad. They said they would run a camera through the line but then said their battery was dead and the power cord was't working. A week later the line backed up again. I called Roto Rooter this time who was furious when they heard what this company had done to me. They said that there were still a lot of roots in the line that they had missed and couldn't believe they did;t warranty their work. Roto Rooter guarantees their work for 6 months. Not only did this company overcharge me but they didn't even fix my problem. So I had to call a different company. Stay away from Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating!!!

Never again. Thought I had a leak in my yard. I asked for a quote to determine if there was a problem. They told me it would costs $99. Upon arrival we were informed that the $99 was a dispatch fee and that it would costs another $225 to determine if we had a problem. Feeling somewhat stuck I agreed to the charge. Long story short, they spent less than an hour and told me there did not appear to be a leak. However, they recommended installation of a back flow preventor  for $3,500. I declined that service. Be careful.

Just had the PSP over to fix a leaking pipe that was attached to a corroded coupler. All he did was replace a small amount of pipe and left the corroded coupler. When I asked why don't you fix it right he just replied standard repair. Really not in my book, have some pride in your work and do it right. And way over priced like what $400 an hour. Never again will I use them. They really give plumbers a bad name

Kitchen garbage disposal stopped working in July. Found Puget Sound plumbing and heating online, called them and scheduled for them to come out and fix it. The plumber said it can't be fixed it has to be replaced. This may have been the case since he is the expert and I know nothing about garbage disposals however there seems to be a trend in the reviews for this company that they recommend replacing parts instead of fixing. Maybe a reset would have worked. The plumber quoted $904 to replace the garbage disposal. We went along with it, we did not know what a garbage disposal actual cost is. After the work was done we realized we now own probably the most expensive garbage disposal on the market. I called the company to inquire about the $904 bill, they were going to call me back once the plumber submitted the invoice to the office. They never called me back. I remembered about it yesterday and called the company to get some clarification, I didn't ask for money back. Spoke to the manager who seems to spend a lot of time online apologizing to unsatisfied customers and I found him to be quite rude. It's my fault the work was approved based on the quote we received, it's my fault I had no idea a garbage disposal costs somewhere between $60 to $200, it's my fault I allowed for them to rip us off, indeed it is. This company's mission is to be a one hit wonder, rip you off good the first chance they get because obviously they are not the people to call back for more work.

We had our water line replaced by this company May of last year and got a generous 5 year warranty for our $5000 job.  We recently got a call from the water company to inform us of a leak.  The first workers who came out told us it was a $1500 repair but no worries, it's all under warranty.  They had to get a part and would be out the next day to fix it.The next afternoon, get a call that it's not under warranty and it's $1000.  I called them that evening and asked how it could be.  I was told, brass fitting at the meter, not under warranty, $1000.  After consulting the water company and another plumber, i was convinced that the fitting should have been replaced when the water line was replaced.  It was the only four inches in the 35 feet between the meter and the house that wasn't replaced.
I waited four days to talk to a manager (identified to me as DAVID) to find out the difference in price and warranty status from initial contact.  I was ignored for two days despite twice daily calls.  A full week after initial contact, i was finally able to talk to DAVID.  He was a soft spoken man who was apologetic but wouldn't come down on price more than $150, despite saying We replaced the line from the meter to the house, which I took as an admission the four inch fitting should have been replaced along with the other 35 foot of line.  He placed me on hold and within seconds, a rude, bully of a man identifying himself as DAVID... the other David... told me he had done enough for me, he wasn't responsible for the failure of a fitting and I had 2 seconds to make a decision.  I tried to interrupt his loud talking at which time he stated We are done here and he hung up on me.   I never found out the reason for the difference in price and warranty status from the initial contact.
Shawn and Rachel in the office are professional and courteous (as was the first DAVID, if that's even his name).  Second DAVID, not so much.

One of the few times when I didn't check Yelp before making a decision.  I need to replace a shower head and after a quick Google search, I found Puget Sound Plumbing. My handyman had told me this would be about a $100-150 job so I was shocked when I received a $395 quote.  However, given that I live in San Diego and this is for my rental property, I didn't feel like I had a lot of options at that point.  I later found out the entire job took less than 30 minutes and other plumbers have told me I was definitely had for that price. Lesson learned to always check with Yelp first!

I had a suddenly clogged mainline. Stuff started seeping back up and out of my basement floor drains. Poop stuff. My diy drain clearing methods weren't working. Called up Puget Sound plumbing and they showed up quick and got it cleared out within just a couple hours. Easy Cheesy. Ben the plumber was quick, efficient, and professional. I posted a review before about this company and them overcharging without doing any work. Then they called and offered me $100.00 to remove my rating on Yelp and said no one could see my rating. Double to them and regularly just to have a reputable company come out. Just terrible

All we asked for was washers replaced on two faucets. Instead they gave us a $900 estimate for a faucet replacement, repiping of our house and water heater replacement. Oh my god! How far off can we get! I would not recommend this contractor unless your pockets are deep and you plan to remodel your house instead of just have a minor repair. Note these guys only do really big jobs.

We were charged over 700 for a 15 minute air pressure test and they made no fixes. Our inspector was quoted a minimum of around 250 dollars over the phone, but the final price was outrageously expensive for just hooking up an air compressor to a pipe. The techs on site also told me it was standard pricing that could be looked up, but when I called into the office they can give no pricing over the phone at all.  This company feels like a scam.

These guys are 100% professional.  They were at my house from 8:15 pm to 11:15 pm and they behaved as though it were their first job of the day.  The head plumber's name was Drew and he was very professional and personable.  They provided me with a cost estimate list before performing any of the work so we were able to complete each job on a step by step basis.  They also went beyond the call of duty to ensure that my home remained as clean when they left as when they arrived.  They had to remove the toilet to get to the main line and they even put the toilet in a bag, as well as covering all the floors and wearing the usual booties on their shoes.  Great job!  Would definitely recommend.

I agree with the reviewers who called them scam artists.  To make a very long story short, they misdiagnosed a simple problem, did unnecessary work, overcharged me for it, created new problems, denied any responsibility, and refused to compensate me when I had to hire another plumber to undo the problems they created.  Avoid them.

A little background: My kitchen disposal unit had been having problems for a long time.  I have had plumbers come out to address the issue before, but the issue always returned (not caused by what was put through the disposal).  When the disposal finally died and started clogging up the kitchen entirely I decided to try someone new.

PSPH was able to fit me in quickly, and the plumbers showed up on time with a courtesy call 30 minutes before hand.  They quickly identified the root issue, which was an old disposal coupled with a bad pipe setup that caused debris to build up in the pipes and back up into the disposal.  They replaced the disposal, reworked the offending pipes, and cleaned out the remainder of the pipes in a short time.  It has worked perfectly ever since.

The only reason I am not leaving 5 stars is because of the high prices. There is a $99 dispatch fee (which did not count towards my bill) plus fairly steep labor costs.  With that said, you often get what you pay for.

I called around afterwards to get quotes from other plumbers for the same work, and while PSPH was the highest it was not unreasonable.  Considering the bad experiences I have had with other plumbers, I honestly don't mind paying a little more for someone who will respect my time and get it done quickly and properly on the first try.

NEVER AGAIN!!. i have an outside faucet that has a slow drip and was looking to get it repaired.  I just moved to puyallup and received a welcome to the neighborhood flyer with a coupon in the mail so i decided to give them a try.  I made an appt for someone to come out and give me an estimate. My appt time was 10-12 i stayed home, at 12:45, i get a call where they told me they were running behind but i was next in line and they would call when someone was on the way.  1:30 received another call, still running behind, 3:30 i called, same response, I'm next in line and they should be here soon.  6:30 received a call that they would not make it so i rescheduled for next day for 4-6. Received a call at 3:50 stating tech was on his way and would be here within the hour. Waited..waited..waited. At 6:00 i had to call again to find out if they were coming or not. They finally showed up, looked at my faucet (didnt even touch it) said it would be better to replace it rather than try to fix it and ends up quoting me $1300!!!!.  I was absolutely stunned.  Not only does this company NOT respect their customers time but $1300 to fix a leaking faucet?. I did a little research prior to calling them and what i found was average cost to replace the faucet bib would run between 125-250 and they wanted to charge me $1300?. Unbelievable.  I made a comment that i paid $2000 to have my whole house repiped (which i had done at my old house prior to selling and moving here) and the techs comment was well it probably wasnt done by a reputable company. It certainly was done by a reputable company and i will certainly be calling them for this repair and will be gladly throwing my welcome to the hood coupon in the trash.

I would give this less stars if I could. They asked me what time I would need to get someone out there. They said between 2-4. At 4 pm Jennifer, the scheduler(?) calls to tell me they won't be there until 5 pm. Then AT 5 pm, she calls to tell me 6:30 and then at 625, she calls to tell me that the person just got a flat tire. How convenient. After 630m, the lines were closed and I could not reach anyone. My guess is that they had their last call and then she pushed me to the next day when Brianna would be working and basically leaving me to be her problem. I think this is awful customer service and a complete and utter WASTE OF MY SUNDAY. And for the record, I will be reposting this on every website that allows you to provide a review. After waiting 4.5 and half hours on a Sunday, what's another 30 min? Also, if you cannot get through to them, there is another number posted in one of these yelp reviews that you can then actually reach a human being. I used that number to call back and let them know to not bother sending Rick in the morning. There is no way that I was going to take off work to have these people waste more of my time. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Also, I'll be posting of follow up of useful plumbers I reached out to who actually showed up on time.

After several attempts with another service who cancelled three times, I contacted Pugret Sound Plumbing. They arrived within the scheduled time frame, gave me a call when they were about 30 minutes away, and did a great job. Their price was within pennies of the lowest quote I had and significantly less than one of their competitiors. They even had to do a little unplanned work which they did at no additional charge. Kudos from me! Have already scheduled them for another job.

NEVER! NEVER! NEVER use this company, their rates are outrages.
They came to fix broken hose bib, spend about an hour and charged $800.
It was just $100 shy of a sum I have paid for water heater replacement including water heater, done by the other company.
There were two guys and one of them seems didn't do anything (as previous commenter mentioned). I would've send them away, but was leaving next day and problem must been solved.

Frank the electrician, sent by Puget Sound Plumbing, came on one day's notice to install two ceiling fans in my condo. He was skilled, courteous, and got the job done--but there was a small mishap with the innards of one fan (making a noise). He took it apart again, took a part home and fixed it, then came back to finish the job. He sent me a video of the working fan. I like his work ethic and will hire him through PSP again!

IF YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY IN TOILET, CALL THESE GUYS.  Yesterday, July 30, 2015, our Highline Water Dept. evaluated our problem of low pressure to our house.  They showed us we had plenty of pressure to our property from the water line (90 psi).  The problem was a very old PRV (pressure regulating/reducing valve) that over the years had finally reduced our pressure to 20 psi.  We are in a 30-year old neighborhood in Des Moines  WA where the PRV valve is in a cement encasemeent box directly adjacent to the meter by the curb.  It is very accessible, minimal digging to get under the valve.  The PRV valves are often purchased at local hardware stores for the do-it-your-selfer with the 3/4 inch between $75 and $100.  We asked Puget Sound Plumbing for our free estimate:  Diagnosis:  low pessure.  Cost Estimate:  $976 for the PRV valve, and $569 for labor  (dig expose pipe).  That's $1,545.82 before tax.  We are retired seniors, they probably expected us to say sure, go ahead.   When we started to say no, they magically waived the $569 labor fee, so now it's only $976 before tax.  Wow, what a great savings.  We sent them packing.
The good news is we found more than one certified plumbing company that charges by time and materials which means they tell you the cost of the valve, or buy it yourself, and only charge by the time it takes to install it, in this case 1.5 hours start to finish.  Under $500 total!
I'm still angry with them.

This locally owned and family operated outfit is actually a dispatch service which sends independent contractor plumbers out for jobs and charges according to a fixed rate which is almost exponentially higher than other plumbers charge, plus a $99 dispatch fee. Punch line: they only pay their plumbers 16% of the collected fees (see below).
My sad story (just like the others, so no need to read on unless you want to share my misery): I was quoted $599 to install a toilet. Mind you: this is *after* the flange installation--essentially the charge for putting on the wax seal, screwing in the two bolts, and hooking up the clean water. And the toilet would be extra! And--they would not warranty the work because I would be using my own brand new toilet! (Read other reviews for more of these fixed rate quotes.) So, I decided I could install the toilet myself, but I agreed to pay $199 for help with a work-around to a rusted flange in a cement slab. One guy stomped my pre-purchased Home Depot flange into the drain and bolted it to the slab. (The other guy stands and watches.) It took less than 30 minutes to do the actual work (estimating took maybe 10 minutes), and to be fair, I could not have done it myself because it required putting bolts into concrete, and (as always) I was in a hurry. But then I saw the written estimate which included this $99 dispatch fee and brought my total to $326.31, including tax. I am ashamed to admit that I felt put on the spot and wrote the check, since the work was already done. After stewing on this overnight, I complained the next morning to the dispatch (Melissa, who will almost certainly write a rebuttal to this review). Melissa immediately agreed to issue a $99 credit for further services (from this company? not likely!!) but would not issue a refund. Period. When I told her I would put a stop payment on my check and replace it with a check for the total minus $99, she wrote back with a list of threats about triple fees, collections, liens, court actions, etc. So, I decided to pick my battles and give up, since I'm in the middle of a home purchase and don't want my credit threatened even temporarily, but I am furious. Why, oh why, did I not read the Yelp reviews in advance?
**The plumber himself actually called me back (by accident, as it happens) and told me he was really sorry but couldn't change anything. This is when I learned that he has to charge according to this fixed rate from a book, but they only pay the plumbers 16%. He and his sidekick together made $47.68 on the whole job. Hm - I guess it is indeed a Family operated business.. Run, run, run!

I am furious with Puget Sound plumbing. The first floor toilet had water coming up from below and flooding the bathroom when someone would turn on the water from somewhere else in the house. They said that my septic system was backing up into the house. So I had them pump it out in October despite the fact that their quote was triple the price that I was expecting it to be. It had to be done so I felt like I didn't have much of a choice.

Fast forward 5 months later and the same thing started happening again. The only reason I called them and not someone else was because it was the same issue and usually a good business recognizes when a job wasn't entirely finished. I figured that they would come out and find what was missed the first time and I would just have to pay for the service charge. They came out while I was at work and said that it was a clogged septic tank filter and that it would be $280 to fix? (Actually, it was $310 because they always quote you the before tax price.)  I thought that was extreme just to get the filter cleaned. Another question I had was isn't that suppose to be done when the tank is pumped? Over the phone she said that it didn't need cleaning then so they were trying to save me the extra $300. Are you kidding me? That insane amount they charged to pump the system didn't even include a filter cleaning? Anyway, I was reluctant to agree to the work because it should have already been done but I figured if that fixes it then just get it done and I won't ever use them again.

Oh no, that didn't fix it. Once the washer started up the toilet overflowed again. They came back out there and said that it was a totally different issue. That is ridiculous, they didn't fix it. They said that this was a clog in the outlet. They also said that it would be another $300 to fix? These people are either just out to get your money or are incompetent.

Avoid at all costs!

Incompetent and overpriced.

This company failed to quote the job I requested accurately.  They said, while on site and looking at my plumbing, that they would not need to break into the wall, and that this would save me some money.  They were wrong.  The plumber I had do this job did in fact have to break into the wall.  So I guess they would have started and then tried to raise the price on me.  The price they quoted was ridiculous - around $560 + tax (and presumably would have been higher if they had quoted the job correctly) for a job I had done by a different plumber for around $180 + tax.  I am glad I turned them down after their estimate and will definitely never call them again.

I have to start by saying that the problem they came out to fix was pretty routine...a clogged drain line. So I can't review them on a big or technical job. However, the 2 guys who came out, Robert and Chase, were fantastic. Polite, knowledgeable, on time, tidy. They actually went above and beyond the simple problem to help me understand what I further needed to do down the road. It was a real pleasure to do business with them. Thanks again guys!!

Do NOT use this company! I got their name from ServPro and since our horrible experience, they have apologized for referring us to them. Buyer beware! They over-charge and then, in our case, the work wasn't even done correctly. We had a leak from our shower when a pipe broke and they charged us $1850 to fix it but then when the drywall worker came to finish the repair, he found it was still leaking a little. Shotty work at a ridiculous price. We will never use them again and will tell everyone we know to go elsewhere for their plumbing needs.

Please don't waste your money with this place. I hired them to replace a water line that was leaking in my yard, there work lasted about four months. The leak came back from the  same place they repaired. When I asked about the warranty they said it was up after 3 months. They said it was probably a different leak in the line and that there was no way it was there work.. I dug up my yard where they replaced the water line and sure enough it was leaking where they said they fixed it. I then called them back and let them know it was there work that was leaking. They told me that is why the only give 3 months because they never know what a water line will do. I hired a different plumber to fix the leak with 30 years experience and he was shocked that they didn't honor there work. I hired this big company for protection and got screwed. Please don't make the same mistake.

I called this company today to fix my clogged toilet and I feel completely ripped off. The job took less than 10 minutes, and I could have bought and installed a new toilet for what they charged me.
When I called, they told me I would be charged a $99 service fee. I wasn't surprised about that, as I have paid $100 to $150 in the past to have toilets unclogged. But I was shocked when they arrived and told me it would be an additional $200 to unclog the toilet! At that point  if I had told them to walk away, I still would have been charged the $100, and then had to pay for someone else.  I have never had a company do it this way in my 35 years of dealing with service companies-- if you are paying for a service, you never have to pay the dispatch fee on top. And, I see by the reviews that they have doubled their dispatch fees in the past year.  With tax, it ended up costing me $326, and I didn't even get a warranty with that. (I had tried for a week to unclog it, but nothing worked. They do have good augers, but I bet I could buy one of those at a plumbing supply store for a lot less!)
The guys were nice, and I felt sorry for them that they work for such a rip-off of a company. I will never hire anyone again without reading the reviews and asking more questions. My regular plumber charges half this, but he wasn't available today.
I googled it, and I could have bought a toilet for $125 and had it installed for $117-- and that's on the high end-- so I am really angry.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  THE MANAG
EMENT IS UNETHICAL.

My wife and I actively discourage anyone from using Puget Sound Plumbing based on their horrendous customer service, ludicrously inflated prices, and bottom-of-the-barrel quality of work.  We first contacted Puget Sound Plumbing because we noticed our ceramic tiles coming up in our master bathroom, and were told that our shower pan was cracked and was leaking water underneath the tile and into the sub-flooring.  We were quoted approximately $6200 for the replacement of the shower and flooring.  After tearing up the floor and taking the shower out, we were referred to a separate company to dry the sub-flooring.  American Restoration was just as bad as Puget Sound Plumbing, not answering or returning our repeated phone calls over a three week period.  After the floors were dried, it took over three months for us to get Puget Sound Plumbing back to our house to finish the work, and when they did, they were poorly prepared.  They did not have the matching tile or moulding to finish the work.  After nagging them for another month, they finally came back out to finish the job, but showed up hours beyond their expected window of arrival and weren't finished until almost 11pm.  All in all, it took six months for the work to be completed, and costed $7500, $1300 over what we were originally quoted.  But the worst part is, after an additional six months, we realized that the tiles were once again coming up in the bathroom and there was water in the sub-flooring.  We called Puget Sound Plumbing to come out and fix the problem, but were told we would have to pay for any additional work needed to be done, even though they did not fix the original problem.  We got our insurance company involved, and our representative was astonished at how she was treated by the management of Puget Sound Plumbing.  Between myself, my wife, and our insurance representative, we experienced being yelled at, hug up on, and threatened by management at Puget Sound Plumbing.  After three months of attempts to have Puget Sound Plumbing come back out to fix their work, they sent an intern out to our home who proceeded to damage our drywall and replace our moulding with silicon caulking which couldn't be painted over.  He said he would come back another time to fix the damage and the moulding, but he no-showed at his follow-up appointment.  Puget Sound Plumbing then took another three months before coming to our house and fixing the issue, which to them meant leaving the silicon caulking and plastering over the damaged drywall, which looks as if a five-year old installed the texture to the drywall.  They refused to do any additional work unless we purchased a shower door from them at a cost of over $800, even when they admitted Home Depot sells doors for around $150.  All in all, it took nearly two years for Puget Sound Plumbing to half fix our bathroom, leaving it in horrible shape.  Why try to fight for two years to get your bathroom fixed by a company that charges you $1300 more than they quoted?  Save yourself the time, constant frustration, and money, and steer clear of Puget Sound Plumbing.

***Update 4/14/15 based on Melissa's response to the original post***

Melissa continues to demonstrate why you should avoid Puget Sound Plumbing.  Even after the fiasco, she continues to fight and argue instead of apologizing and providing actual customer service, despite the fact that she is a manager/owner.  Melissa, as I have told you many times before, my wife and I were NEVER ONCE told that we needed to install a shower door upon the initial assessment and fix of our bathroom.  You and your company only used it as an excuse of why your work failed after water started leaking under the tile again six months later and then refused to fix the work unless we paid over $800 to install the shower door.  I only agreed because you refused to fix the initial job otherwise, which I still can't believe you wouldn't stand behind your own  work.  And when it came time to install the door, I refused to have it installed because your worker himself told us we could buy one and install it for around $150.  So no way I'm going to pay your company a ludicrously inflated price to do absolutely terrible work that probably would've looked awful or started leaking again in six months anyway.  Everyone, please see Melissa's comment as what it really is, an insight into Puget Sound Plumbing's failure at customer service and avoid them at all costs.

The most dishonest company I have ever hired.  They said they would obtain a permit before working on broken water line.  No permit was obtained.  I had to loan them tools to fix the repairs.  Total dishonesty regarding cost of hiring a company to determine where the water leak was under ground.  I was told that their cost for hiring the company was $1,500 when in fact they paid less than $500.  Oh, and a little over a year later a part they installed failed.  Called the company and they said they would send someone out to look at the problem.  Also advised I was out of warranty.  I declined to have someone come out as I wasn't going to pay their dispatch fee.  I talked to Chris a few days later and he said they told me they would waive the dispatch fee.  The person i talked to did not mention that to me.  Chris refused to reimburse me the cost of hiring people to dig down to the area where the part they had installed failed.  He also said if I wrote a bad review he would respond saying I wasn't telling the truth.  Humm, now we have the original person who came out to repair the water line and Chris both being untruthful.

I had a great experience with Puget Sound Plumbing.  I was woken at 5am on a Sunday morning by the dripping of water in the bathroom.   I got up and it there was water all over the floor - the toilet tank had a large crack in it and was flooding the bathroom.  When I called Puget Sound Plumbing later that morning they picked up right away (other places didn't) and the woman was really friendly.  I figured I needed a whole new toilet and since I live in a condo with only 1 bathroom, I needed to get it taken care of as soon as possible.  It just so happened that one of the plumbers, Jalal, was there and he came on the phone to answer my questions.  He was very polite and explained things well, giving me an estimate of what it would cost.  The price (~ $700)sounded a little high, but I don't know what is average for this kind of thing - plus I had a coupon from their website and there was no exta fee for coming out on a weekend which made it better -  and it seemed worth it for me because:
1.  They would be able to come out that day and do it
2.  They would bring the new toilet, a Toto, which uses less water and is a high quality brand
3.  They would take away my old toilet

I don't have many tools or home fix-it skills and I have a small car so having someone come with the toilet and install it was important for me.

They said they would be there between 2-4 and at 1:40 I got a call saying they were on the way.  Jalal ended up being the one who came and he did a great job.  It was quick and he was very professional - everything was clean and wonderful when he left.  As we were talking afterwards he mentioned that it was actually his day off, but he had to come in for something else that morning and then had offered to help out since there was too much work for the one guy who was scheduled that day.  Great attitude!  Everyone I had contact with there was friendly, polite, and interested in making me happy.  I felt like I could trust these people and they would stand behind their work.  If I have another plumbing problem, I'll give them a call.

Hired this company to replace 2 water supply valves for my washing machine. I called them on a Saturday. They arrived promptly and there work was done well, however I was charged $794 for a job that took a little over an hour and a half. I wish I had spent a little more time and looked at the other reviews here before calling them. I feel I was ripped off and will definitely not recommend this company to anyone! Costly lesson learned!

BEWARE:  This company has deceptive pricing practices.  I looked up plumbers in Maple Valley and this company came up as they own www.maplevalleyplumbers.com. I should have been more careful with my search for a plumber to fix a simple leaking elbow on a source line in our crawl space.  They said the could have someone out there quickly, which was appreciated. They also openly disclosed they had a $99.00 minimum dispatch fee.  I figured the fix would be around $250 to $300, so I had no issue with that. So far so good.  The guys showed up and after a quick look at the job said it would be $639 (!).  I asked how that was broken out (parts and labor, eg) and he simply said 'This is my flat fee...we don't break it down by labor time which I found odd. I was already into them $99 and they were there, so even though I knew I was being gouged, I agreed. They did the fix in about 90 minutes with about $20 in parts.  But THEN, when he totaled up the bill, he added BACK the $99 fee....so with tax I was asked to pay $802 for a VERY SIMPLE and fast plumbing repair.  I argued that the dispatch fee should not be applied if you actually agree to the work and that's there only if you don't get the work for the time to provide an estimate. He said that's not our policy. Note that nowhere on their paperwork is that disclosed. I was getting the impression that this was a racket and I decided to take my dispute up with the manager/owner and not the plumber.  I called them and was told the owner Dave would call me. No call. I called again and they said he will call you tomorrow at 10AM. No call. I called again. I finally got a voicemail from a John. I called them back and asked for him...but they said they did not have a John that would have called me.  They said the owner would call me for sure. That was over a week ago.  Any small business owner that doesn't have the guts or gumption to follow up with a customer must know they are in the wrong.  Oh, they cashed my check THAT SAME DAY the work was done...as they were clearly scared of me stopping payment.  I should have.  Make sure you get at least one more estimate if you call these guys out. Don't be rushed to agree to their pricing!

I found this company through the internet using a search for drain cleaning services and picked them because they were the first people I could get to my job. I also was somewhat influenced by the term Plumber in their business name, assuming they actually had plumbers and not just generic roto-rooter technicians. It is being charitable to say the two guys they sent out were unimpressive. They could not clear the problem, charged $317 and said the blockage was on the outside of the house, probably due to a broke pipe. Based on their assessment, I spent the better part of the day digging up the pipes as they come into the house to provide access for them to further triage the problem. When they got there later in the day and we had further discussion about next steps it  became really clear they had no idea how to trouble shoot the problem ,,,,when one made a comment about water wearing out the pvc pipes causing them to break, I knew they did not have a clue. I should have known better that competent plumbers would not be available within thirty minutes for two call outs on the same day. These guys were not real plumbers! There did not seem to have any real interest in fixing the problem just in selling very overpriced services.

I then got a referral from someone I trusted and called 206 Plumbers for a second consult. Although they could not eliminate the blockage they could think, troubleshoot the problem and identify options for next steps. The problem is inside the house and so all of the excavation that took a better part of day was for nothing. 206 Plumbing charged a lot less for much better service, good advise and a level of professionalism that was entirely lacking with Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating.

I would not recommend Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating for any plumbing related issues.

I am very unhappy with Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating. I needed a very simple job performed for my tenant. I was first called and told plumber would show up at around 8am. They then called back saying they made a mistake and had to re-schedule for the afternoon. This happens sometimes, not a big deal, except that I was not reachable by phone at the new time. I had to auto-approve the work to be done. The plumber fixed the trap that was leaking under the sink, no parts needed, took about 20 minutes. A very simple plumbing job. I was charged $250. I called and politely complained about being charged so much money for such a trivial job. That amounts to over $500 an hour for a plumber. I won't be using this company again. I was told they would make a note in my file for management that I feel the price it too high.

STAY CLEAR!  Would not provide even a ballpark estimate over the phone, which should have been a clear warning sign but I let them come out anyway and ended up paying the you've got to be kidding me fee.  The estimate to fix a simple leak in a cpvc water line was simply absurd - $1100.  They offered to wave the over $400 under the house fee, which was still ridiculous. I was able to have the leak fixed by a very courteous and professional plumber for a fraction of the cost the very same day.  The company's strategy is very clear - steal as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers.  I feel sorry for their victims and I regret not researching them on yelp before I called them.  Lesson learned.

Had this company come out to give me a quote on a kitchen disposal that wasn't working. After turning the water on and looking under the sink, without touching or examining anything, the 2 guys decided that we needed to replace the disposal completely, and re-pipe the entire plumbing under the sink. A quote for $1200. No discussions of fixing the disposal, or even finding out why it wasn't working. Let's just replace it with a brand new one. And why not also add all new piping, no matter the $600 cost for that. Without even telling us the prices or explaining the quote/services, they asked for a signature to begin work. Complete rip off and pretty despicable customer service.

Hopefully people reading this know to stay away from these guys.  This is a poorly run operation with commission based plumbers that do nothing more than try to take advantage of the customer knowing little about plumbing.  Had these guys out and they of coursed suckered my into their repair.  The plumber tried to sell me discounted additional services, but said heck no at those prices.  Not an ethical or honest provider.  STAY AWAY!!!!

Called their office because I had a plumbing stoppage. Water was coming back up through the shower and toilet, so I needed help. When I asked about pricing they said they couldn't tell me but would send someone out to assess the problem. Two guys came out, said that normally  they could use a snake to clear the line but I would have to sign off because the snake was so powerful, it could damage the room if it spun out of control! That option would have cost about $400 plus tax--$188 to pull the toilet and reseat  it and about $200 to run the snake through the line.

Far too dangerous though, I would be taking a risk they said-- but wait...they had another option, they could run a camera down and I would not have to risk damage to my house. You guessed it, this safe option was even more expensive. It would cost $353 to run the camera and $188 to pull the toilet. with tax about $600!

WOW.---$$$$$. But they assured me, their rates were comparable to anyone elses, and all plumbers have the same equipment.

Not true, I actually found an honest plumber who charged me less than $300 compared to their $600 option. Think twice before you call Puget Sound Plumbing, they won't hesitate to rip you off if you buy into their fear based sales pitch. Just wonder how many people have fallen for their scare tactics,..

If you want the price of project to change many times, this is the company for you. They changed the price on me several times during the project after my sewer line was dug up and inoperable. They take too long to complete the job and do in my opinion  substandard work. They told me the repair of the cement they tore up wouldn't match exactly but would be close upon completion. They left me with an eyesore of a repair.
Maybe I am the exception and your experience will be different than mine. Bottom line, this project left me many thousands of dollars poorer as a result of working with this company. They refused any partial refund.

Our expansion tank on our hot water tank failed causing water damage to our home. Peugeot Sound Plumbing came out to assess our problem. We decided to replace everything with all new to alleviate any future problems. The plumber had everything on his truck! He replaced everything that day!! He even went above and beyond and removed some of the soaked drywall so the remediation team didn't have to remove our water heater to do the same work saving us both time and money. I would call these folks again in a heartbeat.......fingers crossed no more emergencies, but I have their card on my fridge just in case.

Wow! I wish it was possible to give a fraction of one star! $99 to come out and 'diagnose', and the offer to generously apply this to the $450 fee to basically replace a toilet flapper!! When I balked at the price (I could buy a Toto for this ridiculous quote), the guy flippantly tried to justify the amount. Paid him, sent them on their way...oh, yeah, an 'apprentice' was with him, called the office and was promised a call back the next day. It never happened - not surprised. Kicking myself for not checking them out, first! Called Day and Nite Plumbing. They were out promptly, at a fraction of the price - finished in 10 minutes! Don't ever call this company. Their service call just to come out was $100 and it did not even apply to the work they performed. They were here less than 45 minutes, running a snake to unclog a kitchen sink. Price:  over $500.  They invoice stated they attempted to clear the drain - this was a way to get out of a return call at their expense even though the drain was unplugged?  I was so shocked at the price, the technician said evidently you haven't had a plumber lately.  I paid it, having signed the authorization prior to an estimate. Fool me once. Not again. Stay away from this outfit or get a firm quote before service!

If I could give negative stars, I would for this company.  My situation is very similar to previous post. I have 3 toilets that needed parts replaced and have already bought original replacement parts but I just don't really know how to change out the old parts. I called this place from searching online and two people came (I didn't have good feeling when they came). The quote that they gave me was jacked up. It would cost more to use the parts that I have purchased then the parts they have from their truck. I got a quote of $410 to get one done and $800 if I get all 3 done using their parts and $50 each more if I used my own parts. Thank goodness I called someone and they told me that I was getting ripped off. I ended up getting a handy man who is more skilled and educated than the plumbers that came and who is also an engineer for a large airline company and was moon-lighting as a handy man. It only cost me $100.
I think maybe this plumbling company is in the business to just create outrageous quotes so they can charge $50 and move to make the next quote. If a customer end up getting fooled by them, they make even more money.

I recently hired this company to do plumbing on one of my jobs(I'm a contractor, 17 years, and work totally off word of mouth). Dave (the owner) came to check out the job and quoted me $3000 more than my usual guy, making the total $14,200. In a meeting with myself, his guys and the homeowners he said I should hire him b/c he was gonna 'throw a ton of guys at it' and have it done in 2 days, I could pay him half down and the rest when the job was done. He agree, at my request, to include a $1500 waterline to the street to make his price more competitive, the waterline he said that property desperately needed. I found out days later from one of his workers that he told his guys he had no intention of getting it done in 2 days, changing our original agreement but not telling me.
By this time it had been 2 days, and only 1 plumber and part-time helper. THEN they start digging this water line through the costumers yard and saw one was not needed! The homeowner had to point that out to them, no one even bothered to check! After days of arguing the fact that I shouldn't have to pay for a waterline that wasn't needed, Dave began to have other people call and harass me. He finally, grudgingly agreed to take the $1500 off. Shortly after that Dave started demanding the rest of the payment and sending other workers out to get it even though I told him I would not pay him until the job was finished; pipes were laying out in the yard, fixtures not hooked back up, old water heater still connected to gas piping, a service ditch they dug was still open in the backyard, uninsulated pipes laying under house, waste never tested, on and on. One of his employees actually told my client that this list was 'crap' as if they didn't really think they needed to do these things!
Dave, his office manager, and his secretary continued to call several times of day and threaten me. Under the guise of finishing the job, Dave and secretary ambushed the client at home on X-MAS EVE threatening them with a lien and no use of their plumbing over the holiday if they did not sign some paperwork and pay them directly, all behind my back. The homeowners had decided to do their kitchen/bath without a permit and as a form of extortion, threatened to turn them in! The homeowners were shocked and extremely upset. I told him I intended to pay him but he had to finish the job, but he had now changed his mind again and now wanted the $1500 from the waterline! I finally payed him the total minus the waterline even though the above mentioned things weren't finished. I just wanted it to end, for my sake and the homeowners. He or people working on his behalf continue to call me several times a day even after being paid in full! This guy has no integrity and is NOT a professional! He pushes and pushes until he gets what he wants, invades your privacy on the phone and in your home, hoping people will get intimidated and give in. I refuse to let this guy bulldoze me into paying him for work he didn't do. BEWARE!! Save yourself all this trouble. He is not someone you want in your home.

Fixed a leak with a tub spout on a Sunday.  Made sure the problem was resolved before they left.  Followed up to make sure we were happy with the service.  Price was in line with other plumbing services we have received.

Well, I wish I had read reviews on this company first but I didn't so am also adding a 1 start.  Yesterday we had a leak in our outdoor hose faucet.  I called and they sent a guy out who quoted us $500. It was a Sunday but really? I said no way to which he then dropped it down to $350.  Watching him do the job made me cringe at the price I paid,  All it took was a unscrewing two screws, unthreading the sillcock and putting in the new sillcock, rethreading and screwing back to house.  SImple!  Why charge me so much?  I called the business today to give them an opportunity to fix this but they didn't and continued to say I should be grateful the tech dropped the price.  That came out of his pocket.  Do not ever use this company.  I can't imagine anyone has been happy with the work done by them.  Oh yeah, for the same job, I was quoted $175 from a licensed tech.  I could have bought the part for $35, some plumber tape for $5 and done it myself in 10 minutes.

DO NOT USE THIS company if you value your dollar.  Very overpriced.  I had a simple issue, the hot and cold tap to my washing machine were dripping.  I purchased the parts necessary to repair it but unfortunately I did not have a tool needed to remove the pressure ring inside the pipes.  These were easily accessible pipes, the hoses and all parts were there and available, the hot and cold water were already turned off and although the technician and his helper were very nice, they were at my house for less than 40 minutes.  I was charged a whopping $680.00 for less than an hours work.  I provided all the parts, none were brought by the technician.  When I called the office and spoke to Melissa, she said she would have someone call me back, she did not.  I called again and again she said someone would call me back and they never did.  In reading the other comments here my experience was not unique.  I can not emphasize this enough, complete disregard for customer satisfaction and extremely over price.

Buyer beware. This company did show to our emergency water leak within two hours. After the diagnosis they got out their book to give me the rates. The rate for a pipe in between floors (and having to open the ceiling) was 721.00 per three feet for parts and labor. They fixed that leak but noticed more water dripping and opened another 3 feet of ceiling for another 721.00 for parts and labor.. Additionally they added 540.00 for labor so I questioned the 3 separate charges for labor and was told the 540.00 was for the liability from having to go up and down a ladder. That job cost over 2000.00. I then asked if WA State created the rate book for all plumbers and they said no, it was their company's book. They had come 2 days prior and fixed a broken wax seal around the toilet directly above the leak. That cost 680.00. Putting this job up at 2800.00. I had asked the office to review a part credit back for the first repair as that did not fix the problem and was told that the first tech told my husband that he would fix the toilet but the ceiling should be opened to look, but my husband refused to have it opened. The exchange of words was that this wax seal should fix the problem but if it didn't they would have to come back and open the ceiling. It was never about us refusing, but hoping the wax seal was the fix. I never did get a call regarding a partial credit.

Beware of this company.  First they cancelled two appointments in a row because they just couldn't make it out.  They waited until the time of the appointment to cancel so I had already taken the afternoon off from work. Then I had another company come out and diagnose the problem.  They didn't have the part in stock so I call puget sound plumbing to see if they had the part in stock.  They said they couldn't give me a price quote over the and they would have send someone out.  I said no thanks.  They called back later and said that they could give me a quote.  The price for the blower motor was $650 - on the high end of what it should cost  but not ridiculous and then they decided to overcharge me.  They told me to replace the motor they would also have to replace the capacitor which would cost $480.  This is a $10 part and is as difficult to replace as a battery.  I thought maybe i misheard and so I asked for clarification of the price and it was indeed $480.  I should mention that this took place during a cold spell when people are desperate to get their heat back on.  Gotta love a company that is willing to take advantage of you when you are desperate.  The good news is Greenwood heating replaced the motor for $450 and did the capacitor for free.

We had an outdoor leak and needed someone urgently.  It happened on a Saturday, so we weren't too hopeful in getting immediate assistance.  But they answered our phone and set someone up to come right away.  The plumber showed up earlier than appointed which was nice, and was able to figure out what caused the leak.  Overall, the experience was easy, fast and pleasant.

don't waste your time.

This company is dishonest...just read the other reviews.  I called them to have them come out and provide an estimate on my sewer line repair and they told me that they would come out for no charge to provide the quote.  Sounded reasonable considering several other companies said they would do the same thing (and they did).

When the day came for them to come out and check the sewer I got called and was told it would cost $200.  Unreal.  the operations manager then asked for my help to understand which companies are offering the service for free.  I did not offer the information and told her thanks for a waste of time.

Called them for an emergency sewer clog.  The guy seemed shifty and more concerned about giving me a quote than the details of the job.  Quote I got was really high for scoping the line and roto-rooting it.  Plumbers are expensive but this estimate was more than twice what I paid another very reputable company previously, who unfortunately don't answer the phone on weekends.  I complained a lot.  I was desperate, and it was a weekend, so I said OK, but that I would be writing about it on the web.  Then he said he did not want my business and left.  I did not have to pay the show up fee of $99.  I don't think this is a good company, based on all the bad reviews, but at least he gave me the outrageous estimate at the beginning, and left when he could see I was not happy.

I am writing this review because of disappointment with the price.  We called because our water tank was over heating and turning itself off.  We would reset and it would do it again.  We knew that was bad so my husband called them to come fix or replace.  We didn't know what it would be.  They said the heating element was wore out.  He said they could replace the part but no guarantee how long it could last and we did not know the history of this water tank so we agreed to replace.  The price blew me away it was 1900.00, now I know you can get a new tank for maybe $300. - $400.  I at first said I would like to look elsewhere but my husband was wanting to just get it fixed.  I feel that it was way over priced so sad we had to pay that price but when I looked online I saw a Veteran discount and senior discount.  Neither were offered to us.  My husband is a Vietnam Purple Heart Vet and we are both seniors.  I think the least they could do is offer any savings we could have had.  Even with any discounts it is way over priced.  You must be on top of things all the time because they will just take your money.  I would not recommend Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating.

Called them for an estimate to repair or replace an outside hose bib.  Person who took my call said they could come out that same day, between 4pm & 7pm, but that they would call me approximately half hour prior to their arrival.  At approximately 5PM,  2 plumbers arrived in a very large truck (not a pickup!).  They didn't call ahead of time to give me a 30 min heads up as promised, but that was no big deal.  The proceeded  to look at the hose bib, turned off the water and took the bib apart.  Long story short, they said they couldn't fix it and the whole bib would have to be replaced, and proceeded to give me and estimate for almost $900!  I almost fell over!  Installing the original bib approximately 2-3 years ago was only $200!  The guy from Puget Sound told me that they had to charge that much  '... because it costs alot of money to run a big company like this...'  and added  '...advertising is really expensive... UNBELIEVABLE!

DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE. These guys are Crocks... Plummer Guy only came out to give an estimate, gave me an estimate asked is I wanted the work done right now, told him the estimate was too high, went with it any way thinking that reality and estimates are two different things. At the end of the Job he billed me the estimate plus some. After looking at the work performed and time spent and materials used, what was billed was twice as much as it should have been. To get some clarification into their estimating and billing I called several times; well more like 8 or 9 times over the period of 3 weeks only to get the run around.

Another company that just loves to take your money. I had Puget Sound plumbing come out to replace a control valve in a shower. 2 guys came looked at job and then told me it was going to be $1117.85. Stupid me i was in a hurry, had my wife on my back to get this fixed. The 2 guys did OK work. cut a 1 foot sq hole on the back side of my shower. Replaced the control valve ($85.00 at Home Depot), did not fix the hole, and the with the tax and less than one hour work . Gave me, my bill for $1224.07. I called to question the cost and they send out some guy who makes all kinds of promises about how much they will take off your next over priced bill ($300.) went on to tell me how much it cost for L&I, gas, wages and keeping the trucks stocked so that they can come and over charge the next guy. I would never use this company again or a company that tells me that they just go by the book cost not reality. This same smuck also said i would get a letter telling me that i would get this great $300. credit. NEVER DID. Not that I or any of my neighbors (yes i did pass the word around Marine Hills) would EVER make this mistake i did. Don't be stupid like me. But don't use PUGET SOUND PLUMBING AND HEATING. unless you like giving your money away.

I had their service January 2013, they came and checked the home electric heaters, it was a fairly quick process and turned out that only one electric wall heater need to be replaced, they charged $1200 + tax, total $1400 for the service and parts, I checked the parts at Home Depot are actually cost less than $200, considering the work they performed and the price they charged I have to say I will never use this service again.

Ugh, if I only read the reviews before calling Puget Sound Plumbing and Heating, I wouldn't have been their next victim.  They charged me five times what I would have paid the other two companies I called for quotes after being screwed over by them.  They charged a $99 dispatch fee which I assumed would go towards the service if needed (it doesn't and most other companies do put this toward the service).  I needed someone right away since we were going out of town the next day but that is what they charge no matter the urgency.

My heater needed a new pump, something that took them 5 minutes to determine.  I am clueless as furnaces and they obviously knew this but I did question the $556 quote they gave me.  Drew Clayton of PSP&H told me the pump was about $150 and the other $400 was for labor.  I assumed it must be a lot of work.  In the end they were done within 30 minutes and my total bill was $717!  I went and looked at the pump and got the name and model number and looked it up.  The cost (for me which would be much less for PSP&H since they buy wholesale and in bulk) was $35-$45, that was about 400% mark up.  The $400 for 30 mins of labor means they apparently charge $800/hour for labor.  I called Burien Natural Gas, who is our regular furnace people but were not able to come out that same day, and asked for a quote on a replacement pump using the part number, pump=$40 and labor $110 for the service call and install.  PSP&H charged me five times what a reputable company would charge for the EXACT same quality of work.

I called PSP&H and explained, very nicely and calmly, my concern and let them know I assumed it was just a mistake and they would credit me back the over charge or some of it.  I had to call back every day for a week and got the run around from Drew (who at first told me he would look at and find a fair resolution) and Melissa (receptionist who kept telling me Drew would call me back).  I finally got a call back tonight from Britney who explained to me that their pump (Diveritech Condensation Pump model#CP-22, check it out online $35-45) was a much higher quality then I could get online or at another company (three times nicer? - perhaps theirs is gold plated) and that their service is of such high quality ($800/hour + $99 fee to come to your door) that they would not credit me back anything because I got a fair deal (paying 5 times more than any other company).  She did offer me $100 off my next service call if I would ever want to be screwed over again.

Bottom line, I was an idiot and was desperate because we were leaving on vacation and needed it fixed right away and they knew it, however any reputable company would have 1) not extremely over charged and 2) fixed an extreme overcharge if they had the chance.  Please use Burien Natural Gas or Evergreen Heating and Energy (who I meant to call but couldn't remember their name at the time)

We have a rental property and the tenants called to inform us that the circulation pump was making noises. The tenant called Puget Sound Plumbing to take a look and give an estimate for repair.  The repair was for $1,200 PLUS tax, so let's just say a total of $1,300 and it would take about 30 minutes.  This seemed very high to me.  So I got a 2nd opinion and found a very reputable plumber to do the job for $325!  About a thousand dollars LESS!!  The part itself is just under $200.  This company is a complete rip off and it burns me to no end that a company would attempt to take complete advantage of consumers like this.  Absolutely no morals and values.  Always get a 2nd opinion!  And get the word out to put these dirty rats out of business so they can't continue taking advantage of people.

Avoid this company at all costs. They charged me $496.96 to install a kitchen faucet that I supplied. It took them 15 minutes at the most and they put the hot and cold water backwards. I called to discuss this and they were extremly rude and do not deserve your business. They have been in business since 2007 but I assure you that this company will not be in business for long with these practices. Their invoice has a pre printed dispatch fee of $50 but the crossed that out and hand wrote $99 and told me the owner raised the dispatch fee. They are crooks.

I had a very good experience with Puget Sound Plumbing at my home.  Had a toilet blockage issue that was extremely difficult to fix.  Harry gave me an estimate beforehand, offered a couple different repair options, and worked very hard in resolving the problem (probably more than he was expecting!).  Price was reasonable for the amount of effort involved.  There is a base fee of around $50 to come out, but adding on multiple services will give you a discounted rate.  Spent about $400 to augur (augur only is about $150, but it wasn't working) and remove the toilet (and extricate the blockage from the opposite end).  Very clean, courteous... just that timing was a little bit later than expected.  I'd highly recommend them.

So I picked the wrong profession. I should have been a plumber. I called PSP to remove and install my dishwasher and replace the valve which was leaking. $100 dollars just to show up and give me an estimate which would go towards the repair cost... So basically you are committed at that point to them because what are you going to do call 5 companies to get the best price and spend $500 doing that? Anyway, 750 to replace my dishwasher with the new one in my garage... And since they were there I was getting a discount on replacing the valve at 200. I told them to go scratch on the install and to fix the leak which now is 500 dollars because it was no longer a combo job. I called Sears to do the install for 170 and got fleeced by PSP for 500 bucks since the valve was leaking pretty badly. I always support my local businesses before big companies but Puget Sound Plumbing I shall not support you. You are crooks in my book.

When the plumbers came out to our house they did not communicate the issues that can be involved with snaking a home with the septic tank. They broke the inlet baffle and when asked to either fix the problem or pay for another company to fix it they were extremely rude and uncooperative. They would not return the phone call initially until we complained to the BBB then they were so concerned about the slander of their name that the owner called us yelling at us for actually posting a complaint. A business should know that when they do not return phone calls or when they do shotty business that people will complain. They refuse to fix the damage they caused and now we will not be able to sell the house unless we shell out $1500.00 to have the issue fixed. I suggest never using this company.

Puget Sound Plumbing was great. They worked with me to get someone out to fix a plumbing problem I had after installing a new vanity where the plumbing was 12 inches away from the bottom of the sink. One guy told me he would have to open my wall up and move the plumbing I knew doing that would cost me way more than I planned for. But Drew from Puget Sound told me he would not have to do that and he was willing to educate me as to why that was not needed. He then started work and was done with my new faucet installed in less than an hour. Puget Sound Plumbing you rock and thank you for sending someone who cared about the customer and took the time to answer all my questions. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that plumbing work is way to expensive and I felt that it could still have been a little cheaper for the time it took to do the job but they were still the most reasonable

I called Puget Sound Plumbing to get an estimate for a bathroom remodel.  I have an older home and needed to completely gut my bathroom.  I was concerned about how much this was going to cost, but I was pleasantly surprised with the estimate.  And since the company doesn't charge by the hour, they give you one flat rate, I felt comfortable pulling the trigger.  The plumber they sent out was fast and professional and did a quality job.  I would recommend Puget Sound Plumbing to a friend.

Called Puget Sound Plumbing a few weeks ago when my sewer backed up cause they were the 'new kids on the block'.  They would not provide any pricing over the phone and warned me against any plumber charging hourly, and said they could send somebody out to assess the situation. Fine.  I had already told them that my problem was more than 50 ft out as it had already been snaked to that distance.  The plumber said $300 for the sewer line, $200 to remove and replace the toilet, and another $200+ to run a camera through the pipe.  I took care of my own toilet and refused the camera, and felt that $300 was still rather high for a domestic snake job, but ok.  Well, the plumber calls me at 50ft and didn't find the problem, and wants to know if I'd like for him to go further.  Of course, I said, that's why I called you.  He informed me that the next 50ft of snaking would be and additional $200.  What a scam!  So he spend 2.5 hrs at my house from arrival to departure and charged roughly $500.  He also left sewer spatters from my ceiling to the floor that I had to clean up.  I will never call them again, nor will I refer them to anybody.

Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating was recommended to me after I tried everything to unclog a rain water sewer line including cutting into the line and vacuuming a large amount of roofing granules but unfortunately there was just too much to overcome by myself.  I contacted them and got an appointment within 24 hours (this was not urgent).  Dave and his crew arrived on site and immediately went to work and had my sewer line up and running within 2 hours.  As it was getting dark and unable to carry out a good cleaning late on Friday afternoon, a member of the team came back Saturday morning and ensured that all traces of work evidence had been removed.  Great job.  Now I feel confident that my rain water sewer line will be good to go for many years to come.  This was not inexpensive work but it was professional, efficient and timely.  I would recommend Puget Sound Plumbing & Heating to anyone who is in need of plumbing fixes.  I gave it a 4 star because 5 would have meant that I was given a bill to pay far less than I had anticipated, which frankly never happens.

I have been stewing about this Since 5/19/14.  We had a toilet inlet hose break after we had a new water tank installed.  The water was off and we had bailed most of the water out and Servicemaster was taking care of the water damage.  I jumped on line and found a plumber that serviced Issaquah and called them after telling them what I needed.  They came over within a 2 hour period with the hoses and  quoted that they could do put stainless steel hoses in for 4 toilets and under 5 sinks for $1391 and they knew that I needed to get them fixed right away, as the water was off.  I must have had a mental breakdown of some kind and told them to go ahead with the job.  I thought the price was really high for a relatively easy job, but with all that was happening, I just wanted them to replace the hoses.  As they were working away, slowly, I might add, I started doing a little math...which I should have done in the first place.  Stainless steel hoses for hot and cold water inlet hoses sell at retail for $15.00 each - if they doubled the price of the 5 sets of hoses it would have been $300.00 total and if the toilet hoses were doubled from $10.00 ($20..00) = $80.00 for a total of $380.00 in parts vs $190.00 from Home Depot) - their markup was obviously higher, but if you take the original quote at $1391.00 - that leaves $1011.00 which is $337.00 an hour fro labor - they did give me a 10% discount when I brought this up, but they were originally going to charge me $299.00 per set of sink hoses (=$1495 and with Home Depot would charge only $150.00).  I am Ok with the job they did, and I can see up-charging for parts that they probably got for wholesale for $100.00) - but, the markup must have insane because if plumbers are getting $337.00 an hour for labor, My BMW mechanic is half that...I will not do business with these guys again - when I told them that they were really high, I was told that they had overhead to pay for trucks, wages, parts inventory etc...They were not worth $337.00 an hour...

Do I even have to rate them one star? Their snake broke in my sewer and they couldnt get it out and told me I had to pay $6000 to get it out. I could have them do it, or someone else. I hired someone else after a month of trying to save up the money. I called Bj's Construction and Landscaping in Auburn. They replaced my whole sewer line, new water line (old one was galvanized) for $2500! They hand dug the entire line and replaced every square of grass like they were never there. Then I got a call from Puget asking if I got my problem fixed and told them yes then they asked about their snake. I told them that the company had to cut it to replace the line in sections. They picked up the broken snake then proceeded to harass me and the company. I laughed it off and couldnt wait for them to take me to court, but BJ was so sick of them he gave them the money. BJ is the best guy around, Puget SUCKED! Every permit by BJ was purchased and they were fast!!

They came on time and did the job, but the plumber had a very bad attitude.  He first quoted $1500, then came back and quoted $899 plus the 99 fee to come out to the house.  He then said I should buy him lunch too.  It may have been his attempt at humor, but at $900 for a relatively small pipe repair it was not funny. He also pushed to get my wife to agree to the $1500 repair, despite the fact that she asked him to wait 5 min for me to get to the house.   When I told him that the dispatcher said the $99 fee would be waived if work was being done, he said he would waive it for me. He said they need to get a part and would be back in a couple of minutes...and returned over an hour later.  He then shut off water to the house without telling me first and didn't bother to cover up the street access after leveling.  He clearly didn't want to deal with homeowners and it took four calls to their main number to get a manager on the line.  They still have failed to provide a copy of the pricing on how they arrived at $900 for the leak in one joint that was fixed.

Was going to purchase a deal from Groupon for a $69 furnace tune-up and called the company to make sure they serve our area before I purchased deal. The receptionist told me I could just pay the $69 Groupon rate over the phone and schedule appointment. Awesome, so I scheduled the appointment. The technicians were over an hour late and when they got there they asked where furnace was located. My husband told them it was located in the attic. The technician told us it would be an additional $184 on top of the $69 rate I was given over the phone because the furnace was in attic. I told the technician that I was never told that it would be an additional charge or asked where my furnace was located when I made appointment. We asked if we could get $69 back if we went with another company and they said no. We are moving out of our home and before we can close we had to do the tune up so we let them do it which only took 10 minutes. We spent over $269 on a 10 minute job! We called to talk to supervisor and she would not do anything to help us. She said the Groupon rate was to bring in more customers but no where does it mention any extra cost for furnaces located in attic. We got totally scammed! 0 stars

Do not bother!!! I wish I could give NO stars to Puget Sound Plumbing. I called in the early afternoon to get plumbing for an easy job - - a simple line clog in our kitchen sink plumbing. The dispatch said between 3m & 5pm. So I wait at home. I get a call at 5pm that they'll be out in 20 minutes. Then another call, then another, etc. Well - 6:20 rolls around and they finally show up AFTER I called Rescue Rooter to come fix the plumbing. But wait! There's more. I tell the plumbers when they finally drive in to our front yard area that I have already called another plumber and they are actually combative & rude with me - in front of my house.  Serously? (I am still kind of shaking.) Then! Yes, there is more: Phone rings and it's the dispatch gal saying I owe $50 for them to come to my house even though they are one and a half hours later than the hours later they were going to be in the first place .She stayed on the line to argue with me about how it will go to collections. She did not ever ask how they can make it right. So in a nutshell: DO NOT CALL PUGET SOUND PLUMBING. Save yourself the headache and concern. I ended up calling Rescue Rooter, told them my story, they sent a guy out PDQ and it's all good.

This company was scheduled to come out today between 10am-12pm.  I was home and waited patiently.  Around 11:45 they called saying he was running late (fine) and left it open ended to when he'd be there- I figured it wouldn't be long.  Around 1:30pm I called to see when he would be by.  She said he would be there between 3-4pm.  So I waited.  5pm came and still no sign of them.  I posted a complaint on their facebook which they promptly deleted and then (only after I complained) did they call to say their guy was still planning on coming tonight sometime at which point I told them off.  We have little kids who eat dinner, get a bath and go to bed relatively earlier, we don't need some plumber barging in unannounced at 8pm (if he would even ever show). My partner stayed home from work today just to meet the plumber and deal with this (we had a bad leak last night) because I know nothing about it.  So he lost out on a day at work, just to deal with this crappy company who wasted our time.  They do not value other people's time at all.  We won't be using them ever again and will tell everyone we know.

Appear personable and professional but SERIOUSLY ridiculously OVERPRICED and either DISHONEST or incredibly incapable of diagnosing and fixing a simple worn washer on an outdoor hose faucet.  I specifically asked if the faucet which had a pretty heavy leak, was just a washer needing to be replaced, they told me no, it was a broken valve due to freezing and not just a washer.  I was given a price of @$450-$550 just to replace my twin faucets with only one, plus a dispatch fee of $50 plus tax.  A $500-600 repair that I later trouble-shooted at the hardware store plumbing dept. and fixed myself for only 59 cents!  DONT TRUST THEM...If they can't diagnose or bother to diagnose a worn out washer and are too quick to say something is broken and let your faucet leak instead, they are UNETHICAL. Nice enough guy in appearances, but WATCH OUT!  Also, they proposed replacing basically everything and redo-ing all of my indoor plumbing from the main stack on (which is not a lot of runs and fixtures) for an insane amount, saying it was all bad.  I'm in the construction management and architecture field, so I believe I know when a sub-contractor is Overpriced to put it mildly!!!  Very smooth CON Artists.
