Ceasar came over, got my new toilet out of my car and installed it. Everyone at Tip Top I've encountered has been polite, helpful, and just cool. Sorry this wasn't a story, but they were just good. Reasonably priced.

Andy seems to think that his time is worth more than the time of President of the United States :)
I invited Andy to give me a quote for a VERY simple job, just need to install the new shower valve and connect the already installed sink. After checking everything, he gave me a flat rate quote of $650.00. So I asked him how long would the job take ... He said that it'd take all day, I asked him to tell me the specific number of hours and within the first 5 second, the time went from 2 hours to 3 hours to maybe 4 hours ...
Realistically, I know that a simple job like that won't take more than 2 hours 'cause I've already had quotes from other plumbers and since I've had all of the materials, the whole $650 was just the cost of his labor, which means he wanted to charge me $325 per hour :)
As a comparison, US President's salary is $400k a year, if you divide that by 2000 avg. work hours per year you'll get $200 - normal hourly rate for a President of the United State :) Mr. Andy here thinks he should be making nearly 2x as much :) I barely held myself from laughing in his face when he told me that it wouldn't be fair to charge a client an hourly rate, 'cause he might need to go to a store to buy something for me and spend time in a traffic :) Unless he thought he'd spend in traffic over 10 hours, he really had nothing to worry about :)
Another comparison - an avg. salary of a plumber in the state of California is $26.22 (from the entry level of $15.10 to the expert of $47.52) yet for some reason, Andy seems to think that his time is 10x more valuable than any other plumber in CA :)
He also said that he has a min. charge of $150.00 which is absolute MAX that he should possibly ask for a 2-hour job and even, in that case, he'd be making $75/hr or almost 2x the amount of the most expensive plumber in the state.
So my advice - do not waste your time! He will NOT give you a fair flat rate fee and will refuse to work on an hourly rate basis.

Chris from Rocket Plumbing did outstanding work. We initially got an estimate from another plumbing co. to fix a shower/tub diverter for $1800 that would have required cutting a whole in the wall behind the shower.
Got a second opinion from Chris at Rocket Plumbing. He was able to replace the diverter unit, no cutting for a total of $315. Great job. Very trustworthy. Highly recommend.

Being a first time owner of a Noritz waterless heater, Ryan and Jose have always been professional and have responded to me in timely manner. They patiently take the time to talk you through solutions and what is going on with your system. They have fair pricing and document all visits so you can be rest assured that they know your history and that your not just a number!

Emailed them last night at 10 pm on their website about a plumbing issue at my place in Venice. They called me at 8 am and the plumber showed up at 9 am and was done by 915-920. He has seen my apartment before with the last tenant and knew the plumbing was a little tricky.
Highly recommended. Fast. Professional. Will definitely be using them in the future.

My son flushed a Minecraft block down our only toilet and it got wedged in there pretty good. We tried everything ourselves and could not get it out. Thankfully we found Castaneda's and they were at our house first thing in the morning. Service was fast and pricing was extremely fair. Thank you so much, Joel! You guys are the real super heroes! Thank you for saving us from a shitty catastrophe!

My water heater stopped working, but parts were still under warranty. I replaced the thermocouple myself, and GE sent me the master control valve, but it was a bit more than I wanted to take on myself.
Ralph was very responsive, friendly, and helped me install the valve quickly on a Saturday. He is an honest person, and I was so pleased with the repair, we gave him an extra baby gate that he had remarked he liked!

PM Plumbing repaired several minor issues that had accumulated in my home. Leaking tub faucet, running toilet, two sink faucet replacements, ice maker repair and garbage disposal repair. The plumber was professional and friendly and got the work done quickly at a reasonable rate.

Owner is great. They have 1 really bad employee. They never seem to get it right the 1st time but they do show up and correct it.

Jaime saved us from an almost-midnight plumbing emergency. We feel so grateful for his quick response and skill. We came into our kitchen to find water gushing from under the sink- even after turning the water off! We called Jaime desperate (not many plumbers answered their phones at 11pm!), but he came over within 20 minutes, diagnosed the issue, fixed everything onsite and explained everything to us in layman's terms. He had great customer service and saved us from our entire place flooding. We'd definitely use him again!

Great Service....Honest....Good Pricing. My water heater decided to stop working on a Saturday night and they sent their technician, Harrison, out at 7:00 pm. He was so nice and respectful.....but I needed to replace the water heater. The next morning, David came out to install my new water heater. He was very nice, professional and knowledgable. So thankful for the great service! Being a single woman, I was worried about being taken advantage of on pricing/recommendations, but I HIGHLY recommend them for your plumbing needs!!! They were VERY respectful!!!! Great service AAA+++

How many times can you say you've had a plumber in your house and, aside from the problem being fixed, never been able to tell? Well, with the care that Mitch took, you'll never be able to tell he was there. From the moment he entered with booties, to protecting our floors, to draping our sink tops, his respect and care for property was evident and a welcome pleasure!
Mitch was confident, working quietly and efficiently. But, in addition to fixing the problem calmly and methodically, he also took the time to explain what he was doing along the way.
Before leaving, he asked if there was anything else I needed, then made a final check to make sure everything was clean and working.
I can't think of a better experience and truly wish every tradesman rose to the level of Mitch and Western!

Used them again for major issues. They came out immediately, completed major job, were very professional and helpful. Would recommend highly.

Jorge is great! I had a jammed garbage disposal. Requested quotes on Yelp, and he was able to come over within an hour and fix it in 15 minutes. He was so nice that he didn't want to charge me for the easy fix, but help is help and should be compensated! Would definitely call Jorge again with a future problem.

Did 3 stars because I didn't receive services.
Buyer beware: Quote provided is double the price compared to the price by 2 other plumbers.

Waterworks Plumbing came to assist my clients for inspection on a drain with a camera on a purchase of a home. After my clients completed the purchase they hired them to replace the sewer line. They were very professional and quick. Thank you so much for such a great workmanship.

Had a broken sprinkler valve that was leaking and broken sprinkler shut off valve.
Chris came by the next day as scheduled. He explained everything clearly and got to work to replace the valves with new ones. Chris was prompt, professional and friendly. As for the company's rates I have no basis for comparison as I don't need plumbers often but the rates seemed reasonable for parts and labor as well.
Definitely recommend.

I spoke to them about us wanting to replace a water heater. There's no diagnostic involved but the person told me they have a hard rule to send some over to talk to me. Given the current situation with the pandemic and high gas prices, I don't know why they purposely make it more difficult. I already know when the person shows up, he will try to sell me things and then schedule another appointment to install.
When I spoke to them, I was hoping the dispatcher can transfer me to a manager because we have an urgent issue and get a straightforward quote. instead, she gave me this mean girl attitude and basically expressed they would not have a problem even if I left a bad review. I had no plan to write one honestly but since this business really doesn't care, i guess here it is.
Edit:
I want to note that I was not rude. I was just expressing concerns about an urgent issue because our tank was literally spraying water like a broken water hydrant. we needed a tank replaced and we were ready to hire. The business has no sense of urgency, did not care and she never ever offered to have me speak to any manager. It was not an option. The owner, below, clearly took the dispatchers side of the story and went out of his way to invalidate a customer's experience and making me look like a horrible human being all because I left you a bad review? His response is classic bully behavior.
If you hire this business and encounter a problem, do you think you can even trust this owner? This man is on attack mode. I just got the impression that your team doesn't care and my intuition was correct. Now they are accusing me for being rude and make excuses for their sales tactic. In conclusion, thank you so much for not taking my business, not that I was going to hire you anyways. . By the way, we literally just hired a reputable licensed company (with amazing reviews) to install a water heater right after my negative interaction with this company. Quote was straightforward, no sales pitch and they are coming at 9am tomorrow.
