****UPDATE AFTER FIRST REVIEW****(1 STAR INSTEAD OF 2)
TL;DR - Owner and technician sent very rude comments to me after leaving a very fair review of services provided to me.  In my original review I recommended them for their good availability but I no longer recommend them for their extremely rude and condescending messages.

I thought my review was pretty fair (two stars out of five) - the tech spent almost two hours trying to fix the problem but ultimately couldn't.  I was very clear on the initial communication that our toilet was leaking and was on the second floor.  I had to pay $65 for a visit when the problem was not fixed or even slightly remediated which at the time I thought was a little bit fair due to him trying to fix the problem for two hours.  Also, expanding on my a very slight rude attitude comment, my wife and I asked him two questions throughout the visit and his responses were literally: it's not funny and give me a second in a very rude manner.  I guess he thought we were being rude ourselves or making fun of him but we absolutely weren't, we were just asking about the problem.  

I was going to leave the review as-is with the two stars but it is a poor business practice that both the owner and the technician wrote to me privately mocking my wife and I.  In this age of social media where the success of a business is mostly driven by feedback left by consumers in these types of forums it amazes me how a well reviewed business could operate like that.  I frankly find it almost comical because the content of the messages don't upset me, what upsets me is that businesses operate like this.

I am attaching pictures of both the private message that the owner sent to me through Yelp and the laughing hard emoji that the technician sent to my personal cell phone after I posted the original review.  If you read my original review carefully you will see that it almost matches the private message that the owner sent to me.  Also, it is funny how the owner has a public and private persona as you can clearly tell from the public reply to my comment that he is very nice and apologetic whereas on the private message sent to me the story is quite different.

Next steps for me - propagate this review through other sites, including my community's Facebook page which includes around 600 households.  I cannot recommend a service that acts in such a childish manner.  Also as next step will be to dispute the $65 charge with my credit card company for services not rendered.

- Did not fix the problem and I still had to pay $65 for service visit, it's a little bit fair because he spent almost two hours trying to fix the problem, but still not good as the problem is still there and now I need to contact someone else to fix
- A very slight rude attitude

City Plumbing & Rooter is our absolute go-to for any plumbing related issue!! Our first experience with them was when they responded to our emergency request THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING when we couldn't get a hold of ANYONE else and there was a pipe spraying sewage water all over our garage! They ended up repairing work by a previous company that totally messed up our entire building's plumber and we wouldn't have trusted anyone else with what ended up be around 40k in whole building repairs.
Today, George came and replaced our garbage disposal and was an absolute hero. They saved us from a disastrous experience with our home warranty company and delivered a perfectly installed, beautifully working garbage disposal! We've been dealing with a broken and leaking one since we moved in a YEAR ago, I'm so grateful to George and City Plumbing and Rooter, they're professional, reliable, and always get us a great result we can feel confident in.
Also, we had to reschedule a few times and I've always had the most lovely experience with their administrative/customer service team. Last year Johana was great and this year Jose has been awesome too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 10/10.

Armando who fixed our 2 faucet was knowledgeable about the job, clean and quick. I thought they gave a fair pricing and concern about customer satisfaction.

The worst irresponsible  service there is. First Giovani gave me a quote, then his worker Frankie came by and replaced the wrong part. Then he said he will be back to fix it and never came back. I called and the owner called me a stupid beach over the phone. They never fixed my water heater and will be suing them for this. I would not recommend this service to my work enemy.

Luis from Sal's Plumbing Company came out to find out where a leak in the upstairs master bathroom shower/tub was dripping into the ceiling of my kitchen cause damage. I thought it was in the supply lines, but after some quick investigative work by Luis, he determined the leak was actually coming from corroded tile grout. The water was seeping through there and working its way down to the first floor. Needless to say, it was an easy fix for me. I still needed to do some patch work in the kitchen, but at least he didn't tear out any tile from the shower stall which I was bracing for.

Highly recommended!

Shahar and his team did a great job at installing a tankless water heater on my exterior wall to replace my older water heater in the garage.  They did a great job, very professional and great at following up after the job to ensure satisfaction.  I would certainly use BH Plumbing again and highly recommend them.

These guys are great. John came to check out my water booster system, assessed all the possible problems and didn't charge me an estimate charge for the diagnosis. On a Saturday!

Hired David to replace an old garbage disposal. He responded quickly to my initial inquiry on yelp and was very upfront about his pricing.

The job was done fast! Less than an hour to get the new disposal in.

I then asked him to check on a clog in the piping where the disposal was installed and he was able to clear it.

Fast friendly service at fair prices. Would recommend to anyone.

Fast, reliable and fair! In a time of emergency or for regular repairs these are the guys to call. They gave me a quote and were professional and courteous and followed through on what repairs needed to be done. I would most definitely use their services again!

Prodigy was my second bid on a big plumbing job to replace my 1926 plumbing.  They were very thorough in their investigation and pointed out an issue the first bidder didn't identify.  I chose Prodigy for their competence, communication and professionalism, and they were terrific!  Accommodated my specific needs and performed the job professionally in great time!  A special thanks to Luis, Jose, Juan and Marvil - they were kind and compassionate in a stressful situation for me, handled everything professionally, and made it a smooth and successful project!  They are now my go-to plumbers and I highly recommend them!

I'm writing a review for 2 jobs. One was a bathtub clog and another a tripped earthquake replacement valve. I manage a few small mom & pop apartments in Culver City. For each call, Paxton was able to service them quickly (within a few hours). He was very efficient and didn't over scope the project. A service call is ~$100. Will use him for future needs and update on how those go.

Is it possible to love a plumbing company any more?? I think not!! These guys are the best!!!!! The absolute best. Ruben, owner of the company, has a ton of experience going on 15+ years and Gio, his right hand man, has over 8. That's 23 years of hardcore, honest experience coming at ya!! Our home had so many plumbing issues and they're getting everything up to code for us.

They do excellent work from small to big items- from a toilet hose spray to a new main line (ugh!). I like learning about what's happening to our home and ask a lot of questions. Both Ruben and Gio are patient with me and answer every last inquiry. They never make me feel like I'm in the way or bothering them.

Doing my due diligence, I called multiple companies for quotes. Ruben was the *only* plumber to tell me what *needed* to be done and what could wait so that I got the most for my money. It was clear he was not trying to max out his own profit but was actually looking out for us. It's such a vulnerable thing to leave your home into the hands of strangers but Ruben made it easy. He's trustworthy and straightforward and is no longer a stranger! We even consider him a friend! I'm so glad I found them!

I could go on and on about how much I love them. I wish they did everything (electrical, handyperson services, construction etc). But alas! They only do ALL THINGS plumbing. Don't hesitate to call them. I promise you won't regret it.

I've got professional envy!  I wish I was as good at my job as Mainline Folks are at theirs!  My nightmare morning started with a broken water main jetting water into the front yard.  I called DWP, and they turned off the water source at the street, but told me the water main repair was entirely my responsibility, have a nice day, call us if you need the source turned back on.  

My wife got on the neighborhood sites and asked who they'd recommend for emergency service, and Mainline was the most recommended.  This was about the same time I was finding Mainline on Yelp, with its continuous supply of 5-star reviews.

We called, them and they did not disappoint.  Mainline had a team here in a about 20 minutes to get things started, and worked in triple-digit heat until I had a brand new copper water main, pressure regulator, and shut-off in place.  Just a quick note: when I moved into this house, there was no pressure regulator.  Without one of those, your whole house is subject to all the pressure variations that come off the city mains.  When they put in the regulator, it fixed two drippy faucets inside the house, because the pressure had been normalized!

Did I mention they also re-routed the new line away from a bunch of tree roots so I wouldn't have to worry about those roots getting at the new pipe, or the fact that they dug a 30-foot trench without harming the sprinkler lines, and that when they were done, they filled in the trench perfectly, and put all the original grass right back on top where it came from?

Mainline Plumbing & Rooter gets a big 5 Stars from me!

I called and text this business on a Monday and didn't get a response till 2 or 3 days later. The owner told me that he was out of town and couldn't get back to me.

I might be wrong but I think you can update your business status on Yelp. Not too sure but I didn't get a response till a few days after texting/calling.

I gave the job to someone else

These guys are the absolute best! They are knowledgeable and efficient and the fact that they are willing to work on mobile homes is just icing on the cake. Alex responded to all my texts and kept me updated. Anthinio is a genius as far as making it work under somewhat trying conditions. They even helped out my son who was attempting his first solo tiling job on my shower. They make sure the job is done well and to your satisfaction.
I highly recommend them!

Super impressed with the professionalism and excellent service from Major League. Had an emergency clog in one of our units and they responded and arrived within an hour. Definitely keeping these guys on my preferred list of providers and would highly recommend.
