To me first impressions make a big difference, like calling you back when you leave a message. I can't tell you how many companies don't do that and miss out of business.
Minutes after I called Anytime Rooter, Broc texted me to let me know he could make it to my place in the morning and he'd call me once he's done. He kept his word, so we went with him.
He diagnosed our problem quickly and since we live in a condo complex fixing our kitchen sink was more complicated than the average job. Each step he walked me through and was very thorough about it.
I let him know I was hesitant to pay for anything that our (bum) HOA wouldn't cover, but he insisted on doing a complete job which was refreshing to hear.
In times like this people can take advantage of you because you are in need, but Broc didn't do that. Instead he was a straight shooter, but asked for permission before he started a task.
At the end he wrote a nice report proving it was not our fault. I'm looking forward to the reaction from our cheap HOA who asked for evidence before they step in. Broc tremendously helped our cause.

David came by to look at my sinks today. He was excellent: easy to talk to, safe (wearing his masks at all times), helpful (explained everything that was happening), professional, and capable. Will definitely hire him again.

Had a minor emergency with a shower drip that turned into not being able to turn the shower water off. Could only stop it by turning off the main water line. I called Fix It Plumbing around 8:30 AM last Friday and asked if someone could come out and fix it in the afternoon that same day. I was told they could support a 4:00 -5:00 PM service call. Around 4:30 that afternoon Armando showed up as promised/scheduled and fixed the issue. Hard to find companies that do what they say they are going to do, but these guys do just that. I will definitely use them again the next time I have plumbing issues. They also have email/text features that confirm appointment times and advise when the person is on the way which is cool!

Very prompt, responsible, and conscientious. Ruben was very thorough in looking for our underground water leak, proposed a logical and reasonable solution, and completed the job timely. He took his time to test and make sure everything was properly done. Great attitude and professionalism, explaining his thought process and creating the least disruption possible. They go above and beyond. Highly recommend them.

Thomas offered great service and it was an easy fix! Really recommend this service! And will call them again if I encounter similar problems.

My garbage disposal wasn't working and BH called me within five minutes and -- before coming out -- asked me to try a quick fix that instantly fixed my garbage disposal free of charge. That sort of honest and integrity is rare, and made my entire day. Will definitely be using them in the future for more substantial problems.

Carlos came out on time and cleared our clog with ease. He was very communicative and polite. Thanks Carlos!!!

David did a great job. He installed a facet for us and a few other minor repairs. He was on time, quick and very reasonably priced. He is a very nice guy too. Highly recommend!

Two workers for Ford's Plumbing, Martin and Israel, work on our gas lines for several days. It was a tough job since the house is old and there was hardly any room for them to maneuver, let alone lay pipes. But they worked hard for several days and managed to fix the system. We think they did a great job and recommend them highly!

I've used their services before and have been pleased. Called them on a Wednesday afternoon and was able to schedule service for the very next day however my schedule worked better for Friday. Matt came out to my house to check out a water hammer issue that even after going under my house to inspect and attempt to repair found out that it was an issue inside the walls of my house that I wasn't going to pursue at this time, didn't even charge me which was cool. I also had him do a sewer inspection since he was out here. I will definitely use their services again, no pushy up selling at all and easy to deal with.

3 star for price gauging. Hired them because of the reviews but feel ripped off. Came for an hour or two to troubleshoot a few basic plumbing issues (running toilets and a leaking sink). Simple basic stuff. They charged me a service fee PLUS a absurdly high per fixture repair fee instead of at an hourly flat rate like all my other plumbers. Each repair tool maybe 10 minutes. Had I known I would have replaced the flapper valve myself. My fault for not asking big assumed since they were already there the price would be cheaper to do several minor r repairs at once. Nope. They slap me with a $700 bill!!!??? My jaw dropped. I've worked with plumbers for 40 years. Never been so over charged. I was able to negotiate $100 off. Wahoo. But the overall feeling was they are just trying to gauge you for as much money as they can. It doesn't feel ethical or fair. I told him I could never use him again and he didn't seem to care one bit.

AJ is the guy! This is the spot. Trustworthy, reliable, honest...what more can you ask for? Water heater was fixed in a jiffy with follow up in case the issue comes up again. Non Stop is absolutely my new go to.

Mainline is absolutely the best plumbing operation in LA! We came back after being gone for 4 days to water damage in our dining room and texted them on Sunday. We received a response in 2 hours and by 11:30 am on Monday, Carlos and his partner were curing into the drywall and repairing the leak that caused a lot of internal damage. We couldn't be more grateful for their responsiveness!!! Thanks for being there when we needed you.

Called T-Max to locate a leak in my garage. Tony was responsive and reliable. He located the leak and fixed it quickly and provided exceptional service. I would recommend this business!

My husband called and talked with Diane about an old leaking sewer pipe in a house we own in El Sereno. We had removed the toilet on the top level and floor boards, along with the paneling and wall boards on the lower two levels. Dave came out to assess the damage and give us a quote. He agreed to come the next day to replace all that was necessary. He and his assistant did a great job at the price he had quoted. Could not have asked for more. Highly recommend; would happily use again. Thanks D&D,

Five stars, again. Called Wednesday about a clogged kitchen sink in our home in Pasadena, that we were unable to clear. Dave arrived early Thursday morning (wearing a mask ;) as promised, ran the long snake and cleared the pipe. Back in action by noon.
So glad we found D&D. Thanks again for your prompt, efficient, professional, affordable service.

Thanks to Yelp, I've found an awesome new plumber.
Backstory:
For several years I've been using a plumbing service that drove a distance to get to my area. I liked that they were avail 24/7 (and I did have emergencies) but the older, experienced guys I've worked with are no longer there. So I went to Yelp searching for a local plumber, hopefully a small family-owned company.
R.J. had 5-star reviews up the wazoo.
John works alone & I like that. You can't call him at 2am on a weekend so know where your main water shut-off is, just in case.
My immediate problem was declining water pressure/volume as I tried to water landscaping the past couple weeks. I disabled all the sprinklers a few years back during the drought & discovered it's more efficient to water by hand, although very time-consuming.
So there I was recently, with water exiting hoses like a limp noodle as I stood in the blazing sun ready to tear my hair out by its bleached blond roots.
A pressure regulator is a good idea (so your pipes don't blow up) & I always have one installed wherever I live. I suspected mine might need adjustment & I was right. John increased the pressure.
Meanwhile, I learned about water volume - different from pressure. To increase the volume I need to get the water dept. out to change the meter - my next task.
John had some great ideas to make my watering experience easier, like adding a hose bib, etc. & I will consider his suggestions.
But for now I'm back in business with the hoses & the interior faucets are functioning more like normal.
And John is wonderful. I learned so much. And he was kind to my cat who was in his face as we checked out an ancient toilet in the bathroom.
As long as I'm on the subject of water:
I have a big two-tiered concrete fountain in my back yard that doesn't work & leaks but is too heavy to move so the previous owner left it here & I fill it daily to use as a bird bath.
The birds not only drink from it but they congregate on it. I see at least 3 different varieties of birds, chattering away, hanging out by the pool. Like I should bring them a pitcher of margaritas & some sunscreen.
Cat lazily watches the action from inside the house.
Everybody's happy.
H2O, yo, let it flow.

I called Sal's with two minor plumbing issues and received a quick response with technicians able to come out the same day. The office staff did not correctly communicate one of the issues to the tech though so initially arrived with wrong equipment. They thoroughly explained the issues to me and were able to complete the work in a couple of hours for a reasonable price. Unfortunately, one of the repairs is now leaking a few days later (unclear if this could have been avoided given age of house and underlying issues).

My Kitchen sink was clogged for a month. I called a couple of plumbers that turned out to be to rich for my blood. Then I turned to Yelp. I found Major League Plumbing. Rodrigo was courteous, punctual and most of all his prices is right for the pockets!! I will be calling on him from now on! Thanks Rodrigo
