I thought this was going to be The Big One. Black sludge gurgling out of every drain in various parts of the house. The overflow tanks oozing everywhere. Broc comes within an hour of my mid-afternoon call, doesn't flinch, quickly assesses the situation and gets to work. In fifteen minutes, he has all the drains flowing, all the stink gone, all the anquish vanquished. Then he snaked the pipes again (at the same low, low rate) with a bigger claw thingee just to make sure it was clear. He's now our go-to plumber. We've tried many and he's the best in the Marina, Westchester, Del Rey, Venice, Culver City area. And at an exceptional price. No BS, no attitude. Just done.

Excellent service from Mike who came on time, evaluated the situation quickly, and made the necessary repairs to my shower. He was clean and efficient. Very pleasant and helpful. Would absolutely recommend them and use them again if needed.

We had flooding on the exterior of our home twice and each time they came out within 15 min and were able to identify the problem quickly. These guys are professional and efficient, could not recommend them more.

Timely response and excellent work.  I had 3 flow value replace in my toilets.  All 3 toilets working perfectly.  I noticed one minor issue with one toilet.   The plumber was there the next day to resolve the issue.

Did very good work for us, we had two faucets that weren't draining properly and both are now good as new. One necessitated getting new parts and was difficult to fix but it's working great now.

When I contacted Cali Rooter, they told me they weren't able to send someone out until a few days later, but since it wasn't urgent I told them that was fine.  Each time I contacted them, someone responded to me within the hour with the information I needed.
On the scheduled afternoon, John sent a message when he was on his way, and arrived about half an hour later.  He walked through what was needed for each issue (I was dealing with several minor problems), how he would fix them, and what each would cost.  He gave me a few discounts since there were multiple issues, and then headed off to get the parts needed.  He called to let me know the parts weren't available at the first location, so he would be a little longer before returning, which was nice, since I would have started to wonder.  
He came back and fixed everything and left the areas clean and dry.  I mentioned offhand that the water never really got very hot in the upstairs faucets, and he went down to the water heater and opened it up and found that one of the gauges was set too low.  He reset it, and now there is actual HOT water upstairs!  Fancy, right?
Fast response time, pleasant and effective communication, lovely person, good work, and a bonus/free fix for my hot water problem.  I would absolutely recommend John and Cali Rooter & Plumbing to anyone looking for a good plumber! A+

David is an honest, reliable, and responsive plumber!  We've used him several times.  The most recent was this week.  We had an issue with our water heater, and he came out for three days in a row to tweak things until we resolved the issue. He did not over charge for visits, and he did not take the easy road out which would have been for us to just get a new heater.  He is fantastic!

My water heater was on the fritz when we got home from vacation. Called Ford's up and they had a great guy here in less than 3 hours. Work is done, the price was very reasonable, I'm happy.

I had them come out for an estimate for my storm drains backing up. they were the third plumbing company that i contacted. Alexis was the plumber who came out. just as i thought, the underground pipe would need to be fixed and concrete broken up. alexis was very professional and understanding. He gave me options for the concrete and this company was very fair with their pricing. i have decided to try out a sump pump first before i start breaking up the ground. if the sump pump doesn't work, this will be the company that i go to. thank you! my wife wants to remodel the whole backyard in the future so i may do the piping then because the ground will be broken up anyway.

Very professional attitude, and yet friendly as well. Went straight down to business, and fixed the problems I had without any hiccups, the response to my call was extremely good, since I had called a lot of company plumbing services and they were all busy, definitely recommend this dynamic duo.

I had a problem with my Water Heater. I got a quick response, within 2hrs after my call. The problem was diagnosed and resolved by Rueben 30 minutes after he arrived.

John and RJ Plumbing is not just the best plumber, but probably the best contractor of any type that I have worked with since first becoming a home owner in 2002. I'd give them 6 stars, if I could.

I called about five plumbers to help re-build my tub drain and trap. Four came for an estimate, but just three actually provided an estimate. My house is on a slab, and two of them wanted to jack hammer the slab under my bathroom to get at the drain. It would also mean that I would have to find new 12 tiles, which would never match. John took a little extra time to analyze how the original drain was constructed and came up with a much faster and much less expensive solution. I awarded the job on the spot. The key is EXPERIENCE. Other plumbers will send out a newer technician or a sales person to provide your estimate. As the owner, John has the experience to see the most options and provide the best solution. Fortunately, he also does his own estimates.

He arrived on time, worked with limited access and finished on time and on budget. The work was elegant and completed with a high level of craftsmanship (see photo). Amazing and wonderful. For your next plumbing project, feel free to get additional bids if you like, but make sure that one of them is from RJ. Even with just one job completed, I have a high level trust with RJ Plumbing.

Alex and Antonio were great at installing 2 toilets! One of them wasn't the right size and Alex was able to return it and get a new one for me. They work really hard, are fast and reliable. Great people to work with and would recommend them for any plumbing needs! Thank you so much!
