I needed to have a pipe replaced under my kitchen sink. I called several plumbing businesses. Jimmy from 718 called back within ten minutes. His techs were booked for that day, but he said if I wanted service that day, he would find a way to get one to my house. I told him it was not an emergency, and he booked an appointment for the next morning. The tech, Rich, arrived on time. He assessed the job and quoted a very reasonable price. He did the job efficiently and thoroughly. He was pleasant and answered all my questions.  I now have a place to call with confidence for any subsequent plumbing issues. Thanks again.

Got quoted $2500 for sewer hydro-jetting when everyone else was giving me quotes for $400-$500 range. Thiefs and very unethical because originally they quoted me $500 and then after agreeing to do the job, within 5 minutes om the same phonecall they changed the price to $2500. FYI i got the same job done for $400. They upped the price because I was very cooperative and willing to pay the $500 and they thought they caught a big fish as I heard them giggling ik the background.

Had a clogged kitchen sink drain. Asked for a request from Yelp, response was nearly immediate. I called the number and spoke with Mike (mechanic). He was super nice/helpful even though I'd not gotten the office directly. Said I'd call back when I was sure. Chose them out of the bunch. He was here in an hour and done in 15 minutes. No mess, cleaned up after himself and was, for lack of a better term, very easygoing and positive. Great experience and great results. Adding the number to my contacts for future services.

I called Tom for a steam radiator valve replacement. My call was answered immediately and appointment was scheduled with no problem. On the day of the appointment time but he called to notify me that he was running late. This was not a problem for me but I was glad that he called so I didn't have to wait for him. The job was in a confined radiator box and Tom completed the job in 2 hrs. It would have taken less time but he brought the wrong valve. The replacement valve was not the standard type. Overall Tom did a nice job. He cleaned up and made sure there was no steam leak before he left. My only problem with Tom is his follow up on paperwork. I told him to send me a receipt but I still haven't received one yet even though I texted him.

Prompt, quick, and answered all our questions. My go-to when in a bind. He was flexible and honest when I asked him to see a product on Amazon to check for compatibility. Although it was less pay for him, he advised me that it was compatible

I'm giving HUB one star. I would give fewer stars if I could. HUB repaired a leak under my kitchen sink last month. Three weeks later, my co-op board requested access to my apartment to address a plumbing issue with a neighboring apartment. When the new plumber took a look under my sink, he told me I had a leak. I told him I had the leak repaired three weeks earlier and he did not believe the repair was done by a professional plumber. He then proceeded to remove HUB's work with his hands - no tools required. He put the sink back together so it didn't leak and asked our resident superintendent to come to my apartment. When my super looked under my sink, he said the repairs were substandard and should be replaced.

I contacted HUB and told them what the plumber and my super said. They told me my warranty had expired (I actually had NINE MORE WEEKS on my warranty). After several phone calls and emails, HUB just flat out refused to send a plumber who was capable to repair the damage their plumber had done. Throughout my exchanges with HUB, they never seemed to be surprised that their work was substandard. They were confrontational rather than apologetic. They were not at all interested to see the poor quality of work done under their name.

We all make mistakes and I don't think it's always fair to judge anyone by his/her mistakes. However; I think it's entirely fair to judge based on their response to their mistakes. HUB told me they would happily return my money. I guess providing substandard service and refusing to stand by their warranty makes them happy.

Also, my sink was leaking and there was a plumber under my sink. You think it's ridiculous that I allowed the plumber to fix the leak. Really? I suppose you think the better choice would have been to allow the leak to continue and destroy the ceiling in the apartment below mine.

Chris from Intrepidus was very quick to respond to my plea for help fixing a leaking tub faucet. What impressed me was his willingness to immediately address my problem and propose solutions, as opposed to piece-meal exchange of information. He was able to make it out the following day and worked relentlessly to help me out. I will be using Intrepidus for my plumbing needs going forward.

Found Top Pro Plumbing via yelp.  I needed a pipe in the basement fixed that had developed a leak.  Benny responded very quickly on yelp.  We set up a time to meet and he came and gave me a free estimate.  It was fair and very reasonable so we set up to do the work the next day.   Benny called and showed up on time and the pipe was changed quickly with no surprises.  I am setting up an appointment now for other plumbing work that needed to be done that I had been putting off.  Thanks, Benny!

Only thing I would like to point out is that, I never got the bill email I was promised or the drain cover photo or link email that will work better for me.

Got to my apartment on time and did the work as quickly as possible. Solved my nearly week long clogged bath drain and showed up ASAP. So, yap, I am satisfied with the service. Thanks! (:

Igor saved us. We had a blockage in our main sewer line. This was a true emergency the line was backing up into our basement. No description necessary. Finally found out if we waited a long time it  slowly receded ,cold quick showers and limited flushing made life miserable. We called several plumbers but no-one concidered our problem an emergency. Finally Watermac was suggested. They responded immediately, worked fast knew exactly what to do. Fast, efficient, clean, friendly. I could go on but you get the idea.
  I have recommended them to others who also received excellent service. Give them a try, you will not regret it.

Needed a hot water tank replaced right away. Got quotes from a few other local plumbers. GG Plumbing's quote was the second cheapest. However, Gasper was very quick to respond and he gave me a firm quote. After calling back the lower priced plumber who then gave me the price starting at... spiel, I went with my gut and gave Gasper the green light to start the work. The guys showed up the same day at the promised time and got it done in a couple of hours. Quick and painless experience for a plumbing emergency. I am happy!

We recently had an issue with needing a sign-off and he responded immediately.  

He has a master plumber license and that means he can get things done directly with Department of Buildings.  Uptown property owners needing to find a good plumber should seek him out.

It is very difficult these days to find a good plumber who is both competent, honest and fairly priced. I can highly recommend MKC Pipes and Drains as having these qualities.
I had an issue where hot water for 10 seconds would be coming out of my cold faucets throughout my house including the showers. I had two handymen come and they could not figure it out.
I found MKC Pipes and Drains on Craigslist and gave them a call. What was so impressive is the person (Rudy) came out the same day I called. It took him 5 minutes to diagnose the problem (a defective cartridge in the shower that regulates hot and cold as well as pressure). Best of all is he had the replacement part (Kohler) in stock in his truck. He was able to make the repair quickly and efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. My boiler was not working. I had a company come out and say that it was so old and carbonized the best bet was to replace it.  I called other companies who either refused the work of attempting to fix and clean or suggested a full replacement. Upon recommendation of my realtor, I called Franco Belli Plumbing.  I spoke with the manager there, Manny, who after seeing photos of my boiler, insisted he could fix the boiler.  And fix it he did! Manny knows what he is doing, he's like a boiler artist, a Mozart of heating systems. He just gets it. My boiler is up and running perfectly, and judging from the way it looked on the inside before and after - is running even better than it was before.  Such fair pricing as well, after a lot of researching and calling around - Manny did this amazing work and saved me from using another company and their easy way out of installing an entire new boiler at $5K when I could get another 10 years out of this one. Don't hesitate to call Franco Belli Plumbing & Heating!  Manny is the best!

Highly recommend.  Installed new shower tub valve in East Village coop. Super fast and affordable.   We plan on using again for all our plumbing  needs in East Village.

So far so good!!! The plumbers showed up to repair a boiler in an emergency ON CHRISTMAS DAY!!! They showed up within 20 minites of the earliest window and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes!!!

If all goes well-heat will be on in our building for a warm and  fuzzy Christmas!!!! Will expand on this  review as we proceed with the repair!

So-actually the automatic water feed needed to be replaced! Parsom went to his warehouse and got the part and replaced it very quickly! All told the repair took less than 2 hours and was done in an extremely expedient and professional manner!

I believe in providing my tenants with top service and so does Bargain Plumbing-they rock!!!

John is not only an expert in his field and he is an honest man. He told me what the issue was and how that could be fixed. He went on further that if the issue was inside the wall it should be the building's responsibility and asked me to speak to building management. He cares about his customers and thinks for them. I highly recommend him and trust his business will do great because he is an honest man and a real customer centered service!

Needed a check valve installed for my sewage main line as well as cover caps replaced. They gave a fair quote for the work. Arrived on time as agreed (15 minutes early actually) and finished the work relatively quick. Answered any questions I had. After they finished up I had a completely separate question about my sump pump which was leaking and Allstate looked at my problem and patched it up real quick for no charge. I was amazed and grateful for their generosity. Overall they were very prompt and professional and I would not hesitate to contact them for future work.

We had an appointment window of 11a to 3p and called repeatedly, someone shows up at 8p.  We called to have a bathroom faucet replace and they wouldn't give any pricing over the phone - said we would get it on site. When the plumber got here, he quoted us $450 and said it was a 30 minute job. This is outrageous pricing for 30 minutes or work (in addition to all of the extra waiting time). We said no way and sent them away.
