I HIGHLY recommend Main Man. We had a sprinkler company in to turn on our system. They broke the valve which turns the water off and on and then high tailed it out of here when they realized that the also couldn't locate the main water valve in the street to turn the water off. We called a few people and one company who has multiple yelp positive reviews said we would need to open up the street and change all the pipes as well as replacing the main pipe in the house. They said they would have to rip up our blue stone and would not be responsible for any damages. They also said it would take 2 days and cost nearly $14,000. We called Scott at Main Man and he called us immediately. He came in SAVED the day. He did his homework and knew exactly where the main outside valve was. He told us the pipes outside were fine and did not need replacing. He turned off the water, changed the inside pipe and was out of here in 4 hours for less then  half of what the other company quoted us. If you want someone who is super honest, fast and a PRO. . Our toilet had a stoppage in the middle of the night. After consulting with multiple plumbers, Akeim of Sturks Sewer Works was able to clear the blockage and get the toilet back into functional order at a very reasonable rate. Thank you so much Akeim!

I first started using Robert from a recommendation from my management company. He has been prompt and very professional the two times I've had to call him. The first was for a noisy heating pipe that he was able to fix that two other companies were unable to. He also repaired my heating system and the final price was half of his original quote. It's hard to find a reliable/honest plumber and I would recommend Robert and Star Cities plumbing.

Eddie was responsive, we spoke on the phone, and I sent him photos of what needed to be done. He gave me a rough estimate that was better than another company that was recommended to me.
I didn't get to meet Eddie, but his guy Gus was great, ontime and even early. He was professional and was able to accomplish the following in a couple of hours.
-Leaking faucet with faucet replacement
-replaced bathtub spout (it was broken)
-installed my bidet
-replaced sink shut off valves.
I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Mike saved us from a potential disaster! We had a leaking water heater, and no prior experience with anything of this magnitude since we bought an older home. Outstanding service ! James and Pete faced a pretty difficult job tracking down an in-wall leak as well as a few other pipe leaks along the line. Very difficult to get to. They weighed all available options so as to do minimal access damage to walls or bathroom tiles. They were able get access through a small hole in the boiler space avoiding any damage anywhere else. There pricing was definitely reasonable. They'll be the first i call when needing further work in the future and I'd recommend them highly to anyone needing plumbing services. Terrible service!  Long story short, I waited almost 8 hours over the course of two days for the plumber to never show up.  Willie said he would be at my apartment between 1-2 and never showed up.  When I asked to ask when he thought he would be there, he repeatedly said he was just finishing another job up and would be there soon.  Finally at 6pm, I asked to reschedule.  He gave me this long guilt trip about how Friday is his day off, but he could come early in the morning.  Again, he never showed and claimed that he could be here in a few hours.  I totally understand that some jobs take longer than expected, but I took two days off work waiting for a guy to finish up another job and be right over.  Maybe the other plumbers who work for the company are fine, but my experience was terrible.

While there are undoubtedly many plumbers in the NY area who have the technical ability to do a job well, what's much harder to find is someone who can both do a job well and whose judgement can be fully trusted.

Colin Lee has consistently demonstrated both qualities throughout the many projects he's done for us over 3+ years, whether it comes to properly diagnosing a problem, providing accurate time/cost estimates, thoroughly executing a project, running all of the proper tests to verify completion, and his overall reliability.

We had an issue with a leak at our restaurant. No one was available.  When we called and spoke to the owner, not only did he make sure to get someone out right away. He followed up after to make sure we were taken care of.

Samir was great to work with. We needed to make space in our kitchen for a dishwasher installation (which included putting a new outlet in and taking out some cabinets). Samir was super responsive and easy to work with. Scheduling was a breeze and he came and did the job in an afternoon. The price for the job was really fair and better than all of the other quotes we got. Samir is also a really nice guy. I couldn't recommend him highly enough and we are very happy with our new dishwasher!

We needed to replace a kitchen faucet and received a quick reasonably priced quote online. Set up an appointment and Oscar came to do the installation. He was very professional and very considerate of our safety as he came in with safety mask and footwear. He did the installation and it was very good and efficient and he addressed all our questions and concerns. After the service was done, we paid what the agreed quote and it came with a year of labor guarantee. Very happy with the service and we finally found our go to plumber and hvac servicer!

I had a great experience with Urgent Drain today. We had a very bad back up in the basement which needed to be addressed ASAP. Robert was very professional and efficient. Three weeks ago I had contracted Cheap John's to clear a stoppage,by the time he got here the water went down but I asked him to service my sewer anyway. He went to his truck and came back with a hand drill operated snake with auger which you would use for a sink. When I  pointed out that the auger w as to small and snake to short he assured don't worry it's guaranteed. Well it backed up again and when I called he said it would be $90. When I told him it was still under the 30 day coverage. He said that's only during business hours.
If you are looking for a company to do the job the first time don't call Cheap John.

These guys rock! Definitly a Supply house for professional plumbers, but if you heed somthing done, you might meet one us there.
