Best Electricians in New York

I've had a number of different things go wrong in my apartment lately; and Electrician Techs have come to the rescue every time.  Mo, Juan, and Andrew fixed every problem (installation of ceiling fans, and more recently, installation of a wiring box for my new refrigerator - Mo schedules the appointments, always within a day or two - no delay, a real sense of them knowing what they're doing, and very reasonably-priced.  I can't recommend this company enough - well done!

Returned our call and fixed our circuit breaker issues very quickly so our a/c can start working again.

I cannot speak more highly of Rich. Last night several outlets were sparking in our kitchen, and we were terrified. After calling several electricians who wouldn't come by, Rich gladly offered to stop by our home the day after Blizzard Juno! Rich was kind and extremely professional on the phone, and came earlier than he told us he could. He made sure all of our outlets were fine, checked the fuse box, and tested our appliances to make sure they were not sparking. Rich was funny, professional, knowledgeable, and a hard worker, and he answered all of our questions. If you ever need an electrician, call Rich. We could not speak more highly of him. We definitely got lucky in finding him.

I had contacted two days prior to schedule a day to install two small Chandeliers, Mickhael responded promptly with 10minutes.  Work was done as scheduled date.  The chandeliers were installed on the ceiling very nicely without any issues.

An electrician named Ralph came and took care of some messed up outlets on my roof; he was super-professional, got everything replaced and working quickly and clearly (the wiring had been done badly when the building was put up) and was really pleasant to work with too.  Highly recommend this company, if guys like this are the ones doing the work!

I called Nair to install pod lights in both the kitchen and living room area of my apartment. Gaston came the same day to look and quote me a price. After agreeing on the price we quickly set up a schedule for the work to be done in a few days to my surprise.  The work done was amazing and I couldn't be happier with the look and work done in one day! I definitely Nair electrical for any needs you may have in your apartment or house as the level of professionalism and work is first class. Gaston and his assistant wore masks and were very accommodating to any needs we had while keeping the work and any mess to a minimum.

Took forever to schedule an appointment. Wish I took that as a sign. The guy who showed up was knowledgeable but never came back with an estimate as promised. Also, followed up but ignored my messages. I don't have a lot of time in my schedule so you wasted 1.5 hour that could've been used elsewhere. Thank you. Only giving an extra star because your colleague seemed knowledgeable, otherwise I would've given it one.

Here is an update to my original review.  I have written this as a reply to the business owner's response as Yelp does not appear to allow me to reply publicly to the business owner.  As a side note, I am considering lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding this incident.

Hitch, as I noted in my initial review, a civilized and normal response to a bounced/bad check should be to reach out to the person who cut the check in order to rectify the problem in a business-like fashion.  Why was I singled out to bear the burden of your mistrust of others?  As you say, you have encountered this issue before with other customers, some of whom I am sure were perfectly honest and were, like me, a victim of a misunderstanding.  Were you as duplicitous with them or did you make an exception for me thinking that I would just roll over and let this go?

You lied to my face about a problem with work that you performed.  You made me anxious about (i) the safety of the people staying in my apartment (which included a 2+ year old child), and (ii) the potential for property damage.  Hopefully you can see how twisted that is.  If not, then I feel sorry for you.

Sure, you do not have the time to wait for a few weeks for a check to clear or go to small claims court.  I understand that as I am a busy man too and I certainly did not have time to waste for you to come to my home under false pretenses.  Do you think that I have ample time to read through fine print that does not constitute a contract that I am (1) agreeing to, or (2) attaching my signature to?

If you were not comfortable with a check or if that was not your preferred payment method, you could have told me while we were conducting business in my home that Venmo, Paypal or credit card were alternative payment options.  The onus is on you (as the business owner) to inform me (your former client) of this.  Why was this not done?  Please do not rely on the fact that you sent me something in writing more than a month ago at this point.  We met face to face to settle payment when the work was done.  This could have easily been avoided if you spoke up.

More importantly, your first instinct should not have been to lie to me.  You have seen the building and the apartment I live in.  Does it look like it belongs to someone who (a) could not afford to pay your fee, or (b) would willfully and intentionally avoid payment for services rendered?  If you had even thought this through for a minute and reflected on our course of dealing, I do not think you would have approached this the way you did.

Lastly, I want to fully acknowledge the fact that you saved me significant cost with respect to my light fixtures.  Thank you for that.  However, I will also say this - cost was never an issue for me and I would have gladly hired you to do more extensive work if it was necessary.  What is important for me is that my home not be a fire hazard and that the lights function properly.  In addition, we agreed on a fee rate for the work done (in your words, let's get this down to the minute) and you wound up overcharging me for the work.  How is that fair or honest?  Again, please do not try to rely on a set of terms that we never agreed to for this work.  Especially when we had reached a hand shake deal on cost during our course of dealing.

I am sorry that things have turned out this way as well, but I have not done anything unconscionable, unethical or dishonest here.  Sadly, I cannot say the same for you.

Danny has stellar customer service and while he was unable to fix my issue due to his license being valid in NY and I live in NJ he was still willing to offer a long and very informative explanation on my issue. Not too many ppl are willing to help without any financial benefit.

I am certain that if Danny was licensed in my state that I would hire him in a heartbreak.

Quick to respond and set up time with me! I needed a burned out outlet replaced and they came by a day or two later. Pricing was slightly higher than with others I reached out to but not too much. Would work with them again. Thanks!

I will definitely call Eco Electrician for future needs. I just had an issue with my outlets blowing, and was troubleshooted through how to get them back on without requiring a home visit. All the other electricians I called previously quoted hundreds of dollars to come by and troubleshoot, and Eco Electrician just talked me through it quickly on the phone. Thank you!

Yonaton and his assistant was quick and detailed. I reached out to him at a time when I needed someone I could trust to resolve the issues that were created by the previous electrician. Not only was he able to fix and install outlets in a swift manner, his prices were fair. Fast and efficient. I would recommend him 1000 % and look forward to hiring him for any electrical needs I may have in the future.

Ilya and his team do great work! I've hired them to do two separate projects in my house over the past year - one was to install a new electrical panel and the other was to replace outlets. Ilya and his colleague were prompt, did the job well, charged a very fair price, and they cleaned up the area when they were done.

I would recommend them to anyone looking to do electrical work. I plan to keep calling them for any other projects.

Don did a number of projects for me including installing light fixtures and outlets. His work is of the highest quality and timely. He was also very good about communicating. I'd use him again if needed.

When I called, I didn't expect same day service, but I'm grateful I was able to get someone to come out 40 minutes after my phone call! I bought a tv mount and neither I or my bf could figure out how to make sure it was secure (since it is in a baby room) Sergio showed up in a mask and even put on shoe covers upon entering my house. I directed him to my baby room where I wanted him to mount the television.  He asked me the height I wanted the tv I showed him and he got to work. In about 20 minutes, he was done. He showed me how to take the tv off (should I need to) and how the mount worked. He was fast and efficient his work was neat and the mount is sturdy. I will definitely be calling him in the future!

My wife and I were having problems with a low-voltage track lighting system that was over twenty years old and no longer manufactured.  Avi was terrifically helpful in accommodating to our schedule and getting someone out to assess the issue as quickly as possible.  Gerry was on time, professional and extraordinarily helpful.  More specifically, he patiently diagnosed the problem and ingeniously found a way to rewire the failing track segment thereby bringing it back to life.  All the while, he was a gentle, easy presence in our apartment (and tolerated the occasional interference from our three cats with good humor).  Not if -- but when given its age -- our lighting fails again we will not hesitate to contact Electrific, just as we would for any other electrical problem we might encounter.  All of which is to say, we can't recommend them more highly.

Katie is amazing! I called her to help with fixing a slide-out cabinet that had come off its track, and that was not staying shut properly, as well as replacing some floor trim that had been removed when I had a new dishwasher installed. As the scheduled date approached, I kept realizing all these other things I'd need fixed! Katie told me to make a list, and when she arrived, she knocked out every item on my list, even late-breaking ones! When she didn't think one solution would work to solve a problem, she came up with another. Katie clearly has tremendous expertise, but she also was great at thinking creatively, even for tasks I hadn't told her about in advance. She was totally transparent about pricing, which I appreciated, and still got the additional tasks done in the estimated amount of time. Beyond that, she is super friendly, and someone I felt so comfortable having in my home. I've recommended Katie to other friends who have all had as excellent of an experience as I did. This might sound weird but, next time something in my apartment goes awry, I'll feel relieved that I know I can call Katie!

I've contact Conquest Electric over the phone to have an electrical issue sorted out in our dining room. Roman answered promptly and took the time to answer all my questions. He was able to come shortly after to fix the problem.
Upon arrival, he was very friendly and explained what went wrong and assured me that it'll take less than an hour to have it fixed.
I appreciate how genuine he is when it comes getting things done fast at very fair costs.
I've dealt with other electricians in the past and he is by far the best for the job.
