Best Electricians in New York

I called Electrician Techs to check out the outlets in my new apartment and to install a new flush mount. They were great - super responsive and I was able to schedule quickly. I needed them to come a week after I contacted them, but they did have next day availability, which I appreciated. They sent over all the COIs and licenses my building needed right away. The tech was also great - he answered all my questions and checked out all the outlets and tested them. He installed the flush mount quickly and double checked that it was working. Highly professional and very friendly. I would absolutely recommend them and will use them again for any electrical needs!

Guys, I wasn't kidding when I said I'd reach out to Mickhael again for his services.  He recently replaced our backyard motion detection light with a new one that we had purchased from Costco.  He did this seamlessly without the need for pesky instructions.  He also helped repair a wall outlet that had run its course, and both jobs were completed within an hour.  He is a trusted professional, and I'm glad that he services areas out side of Brooklyn.

I must say he is a skilled and competent electrician. I only wish he would have made me aware of all my possible options before beginning the job which involved changing a wall box and replacing the switch within.  He quoted one price range over the phone, but it was higher when he came and saw it.  Being given a receipt changed the price to include additional sales tax, and cash was his only form of payment.  I think these terms should be made clear before arrival.  I only wish his business acumen was as good as his electrical skills.

John definitely took care of my needs for electrical work needed for my garage. They were very detail oriented and made sure my neighbors thought they were very considerate.

I'm giving 5 stars to Mike for being a nice person and going above and beyond.  Unfortunately Hitchingham wasn't able to do the job for me as I needed it done the next day (totally understandable, they were already booked), but Mike took the time to send me recommendations - I used the first one on his list and they were excellent.  Mike was a decent person to just listen to my situation and go out of his way to help me when there was nothing in it for him.  This is the type of person/company I would want to do business with and recommend  contacting them.

I was so lucky when Dan stopped in my yard to ask for the location of an address that was not mine. When I saw his truck, I told him that I needed some work done. After he went to his scheduled appointment, he came back to my house to give me an estimate. The price was right so I asked him to return to install an outlet and convert two fixtures to accommodate LED bulbs. He is extremely knowledgeable, efficient, personable, and professional. I highly recommend him!

Came same day to repair breakers, was fast and responsive. Chris did a great job and I will hire him again!

Don't recommend. He was like you didn't pay me from three years ago. I said why didn't you say anything? Nothing. Slightly aggressive and annoying. I would hire someone else.

Came to install 4 dimmer switches in my new apartment. Responded very quickly and even came the day before Thanksgiving to do it. They were very professional and worked quickly. Prices are comparable to others as well. Highly recommend.

I asked a handyman to install my ceiling fans, but once he opened up the fixtures he realized it was beyond his capacity and that an electrician was needed. A friend recommended Don. I called him and he came quickly for a free estimate, then got me into his busy schedule a couple days later. He arrived when he said he'd arrive and charged what he said he'd charge. I will be using him in the future, for sure.

I rarely ever write a yelp review but given Eugene's extremely professional service, I just had to! I requested a service from Eugene to mount a tv to a wall as well as cut a kitchen countertop. The business responded extremely quickly, I would say within 5 minutes for each of my inquiries AND it was on a Saturday. All of the other companies I contacted were either booked for the next 2 weeks (quite ridiculous) or provided me a much higher quote. He performed everything very swiftly and was very knowledgeable as he answered all the questions I had. I was going to build the island myself with the countertop pieces he had cut but when he arrived to my apartment, I asked if it was possible for him to complete the project for me for an extra charge. He built the island for me and provided advice on how to level and stabilize the island at no extra cost!! Eugene is an extremely hard worker and I will definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a fast, clean and professional service! I am COMPLETELY IN LOVE with the island, exactly how I imagined with very little to no explaining required. He is hands down going to be my handyman for any other needs moving forward.

Avi is a lifesaver. His team was originally only available the following week. But when I told him I needed the light fixed in the kitchen of my elderly parents, he fit me in after a cancellation within a few hours of talking to him. Very reasonably priced. Came with 2 men to handle the kitchen light and ceiling fan installation to save on time.  Arrived on time. Very pleasant and understanding on the phone.

Katie and her assistant installed some towel bars for us. They did a great job and we're safe and careful. It was very easy to set up the appointment and communicate with her. I will definitely contact her again for future projects!

Ramon was very personable and fairly prompt.  He used a little pen like device to repair relatively all of my fixture problems.  He proceeded to go to his truck (when he got back quite some time later he said that he didn't have the correct light dimmer switch so he went to Gracious Homes down the block) to obtain a switch to replace mine.

After he left I noticed that the switch was not turning on the light immediately after I pressed it on.  I called Ramon and he said that it would cost me an additional $180  if the problem was my fault...
I chose to forego his additional visit.

Several weeks later all of the blown out bulbs that were fixed we're inoperable again.

I am extremely disappointed in this serviceman's operational integrity. He does not stand behind his service and the repair of my antique lighting was only very temporary for a cost of $180+ the cost of the new inferior switch.

Better to research your repairman more thoroughly next time! Roman kept telling me that my antique dining room fixture was old and I should just replaced it even though I explained that it had been my mother's fixture and meant a lot to me!

Ramon...In answer to your retort...my antique fixture was refurbished with new wiring and polishing about eight years ago when I moved from my house into the city.  It is a cherished lighting fixture and I relied on you to correctly fix it...not temporarily use a fix it pen for the repair.  

In addition the main reason I recalled you was because the switch you replaced in the dining area does not work properly. There is a distinct pause before the fixture actually operates.  This has remained the main problem I have with your service...there is no spontaneity for the light to function.  This was why you said you'd charge an additional $180!
Every time I put that light on it malfunctions. There is no reason for a brand new switch to do that at any time!
