Carlos is an amazing plumber!! He has done dozens of jobs for our family over the last year. He's reliable, hardworking, and always a pleasure to work with. Also, his prices are always fair. The number one thing that I love about this company is, anytime I call, they are there for me small or large job. He's punctual and dependable! All of those things make him an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this talented plumber and handyman!

I had a terrible experience with Boris Mechanical. My bathroom faucet was dripping. First, I called to schedule an appointment. They took my credit card number. I would not suggest giving this company your credit card number until a job has been completed. Scheduling was a little rough, I had to call back, but that was OK. What was not OK was the guy who arrived at my apartment. He had no tools when he arrived. He said his boss had his tools. I left him alone for a few minutes to do his thing with the faucet. I then see that he is banging on the top of the faucet (which is attached to the wall) with his hand. I stop him from doing this and find out that he has no idea what he is doing because it's a modern faucet. He ends up removing silicone from where the hot and cold handles are attached to the wall, leaving these worse off than when he arrived.
He calls his boss who says he will send someone else who has the skill to fix modern faucets. I never get a follow up call and my follow up call is ignored.

They were prompt, flexible/adaptable in helping solve our tub drain problem, and kept their rates very reasonable and honest. Another plumber had quoted us a price 2X for the same work thinking he could get us to pay that much due to our neighborhood. Can recommend enthusiastically.

On one of the hottest weeks this summer, my ac gave out. Both the upstairs and downstairs units stopped working, needless to say the situation was dire. I called Gold Medal Services initially, and after about 30 seconds the repairman looks over at me and states that both units needed new motors. After having been quoted close to 3k for replacement/repair I sent the salesman disguised as a repairman on his way. I began searching again and contacted Brett over at Paramus Plumbing who came by that same day. The moment Brett began to take out his tools and inspect the units, it was like night and day with the other company that came. His professionalism and expertise were evident immediately. Once he diagnosed the problem, which by the way had absolutely nothing to do with any motors!! He provided an in depth explanation of the problem, the kind only someone who has really studied the subject could give, and then quoted me a more than fair price. Forewarning all along that he would do everything in his power to get both units back up and running but it was not 100%. He came back the next day in the morning and shortly after, one of the units was once again fully functional. He literally spent all day working on the other unit, in close to 100 degree weather, and despite his incessant attempts, there was simply nothing to be done but to replace the unit. Although I decided against that, he provided me with every possible option to work with me in reducing the cost of the replacement. Even offering to put the repair money towards the new unit. Brett is truly a master of his craft! I can not recommend him enough. If you are looking for a true expert that is honest and will go above and beyond to help you, do no hesitate to contact him. Customer for life over here, and will recommend to everyone I know.

One of our bathroom sinks sprung not one, but two sudden leaks. I've used a couple of other plumbing companies in town over the years, but was never completely comfortable with them. So this time, I called Plumbing Pro...and I finally hit it right. Just speaking with them over the phone was a pleasant and reassuring experience. Christopher arrived with his assistant exactly when he said he would and fixed the problem in no time. He gladly answered questions I had about any future repair issues and potential fixes for this and several other bath fixtures made by this (now defunct) company, and gave helpful advice about installing fixtures from tried and true manufacturers that always have parts available and with workings that plumbers are well acquainted with (in short, beware the more obscure, fancy-schmancy stuff). He left the bathroom as clean as it was when he got here (maybe even cleaner), and was a true pleasure to deal with. Best of all, I now have someone I can feel confident to call when the need arises. What a good feeling.

Lenny is a great guy. They responded quickly and professionally. My $99 call turned into over $500! They removed a toilet and snaked a reportedly 70'. It's up to you if you think that warrants a charge of over $500! They did put the toilet back too...

DeGrace is awesome. Within 24 hours they had someone in my home to get our boiler serviced, cleaned, and brought up to operating standards. The plumber they sent us was super friendly, clear about the costs, and had all the necessary tools to do the job. He was also able to diagnose a complicated leak that we were having. The previous homeowners also used DeGrace to install a new toilet and I say it's our best toilet in this house! I won't say they're cheap but I highly recommend if you want a job done right.

We needed emergency plumbing services. Unfortunately Parkset was not our first call and the first plumbers (roto rooter) let us down and even with price gouging decided they couldn't fix it for days. Parkset came to the rescue and did it for less than roto rooter was quoting.

Unfortunately these guys don't know anything about customer service called them for a job, two of the guys came to look at it they said they'll contact me with a price how much is gonna cost.. they also made an appointment for the next day to come... no one showed up, no one called me to tell me if they're going to take the job or not... I had to call someone else, these people are the worst in customer service it is what it is I would just stay away from them

They seem to be the default option for plumbing in my building. So, I have had to use them a couple of times. That, and my super is pretty useless when it comes to plumbing.
Pros:
1. They get the work done. The plumbers are pretty professional and show up more or less on time.
2. 24-hr emergency line - They are available round-the-clock, good for weekend clogged-toilet emergencies (especially if you have kids with a penchant for flushing things down the toilet!).
Cons:
1. Scheduling seems to be a pain. They give you an 8am-4pm timeframe which will only be shortened the morning of the job. So, it is very hard to plan your time effectively while waiting for them.
2. The daytime and evening phone lines are completely separate and seem to have no coordination between the two. I recently called up the regular line at 3pm and was told someone would be there between 4 and 6pm. When I called at 5:30, the operator claimed he had no idea about my request and had to put in a new job. The plumbers finally made it at 7:30pm!
3. Billing - Like one of the previous reviewers mentioned, get an estimate when possible, and make sure you keep track of the time. They have a tendency to pad hours. Also, I had a bad experience recently when the plumber who initially came during the day (at the regular rate) did not do a thorough job, and I was forced to call Demar back that same evening to fix the issue at the overtime rate. They definitely try to scam you into paying overtime, so be careful.
4. This might be specific to the overtime guys. The guys who came and fixed my toilet would not seal it back to the floor. I have had to call Demar back to schedule a separate job to do that. Very annoying!

I cant even give this place one star and after I explain you will see.On Saturday 12/03/16, I called for a clogged toilet. My tenants were calling and I could not take care of it, as I was working.I did a search for plumbers on Staten Island.Called the number on yelp which is a (non 718) area code.I asked questions, was I shopping for a price, of course that's my rite as a customer.I call the number back which is a (347) area code which called me.So in other words this company was called twice by mistake. The maniac calling me back starts cursing, telling I am a cheap bum.And that he hopes my sewer line breaks. No jerk off just shopping and getting a price. He tells me how because I woke him up at 12pm, he was charged $17.00, really. That he will call me 17 times and do harassing calls in the morning.Thats not very smart or professional. He goes on a profanity tirade and tells me to expect calls at 3am.Kept the harassing texts as proof of this individual, that he was going to F me up, which he texted me.Yeah ok,I want to do business with this company or anyone who hires a person like this.He wouldn't give his name. The harassing texts finally stopped with him being pissed for me asking questions. As I explained if this kept up, we can go to the Pct and file a police report.Your easy to identify and get arrested. All this drama just because your shopping around for a plumber. If you don't like customers shopping for prices and trusting the first person they speak, that tough. Its your business get use to it.And with luck I found a person much cheaper, then what he was telling me.Have many friends who work for the city(PD,FDNY, etc) and would never, ever recommend this company.
