Today is Christmas Eve and I want to write how grateful my family and I are that Pete made the time to stop over early today and solve our plumbing issues. I woke up to no running water in my bathroom and heat issues. I texted Pete and without hesitation he came at 8am. He made the time to come over and spend at least over an hour diagnosing my plumbing issues. He would not leave until my problem was solved and even unclogged my sink in between! He truly loves what he does and it shows. He's a good person and honest, that is rare these days when most people are more focused on making a buck than helping a fellow human. I will continue to use his services and recommend his business to all my friend for life. You can't go wrong with this business. I would give ten stars if I was allowed!

The other day we had some issues and noticed some wetness/small puddles in the basement and wanted to get the situation looked at, called a few plumbers and many were busy, some gave crazy estimates, and then we landed on Platinum.

They came over promptly the next day, earlier than we said by a bit, and came in to look at the problem.

We discussed the history of our plumbing, he surveyed the area and troubleshooted what the problem could be.

Upon inspection noticed that the air vent had clogged solid, frozen, with TP and other buildup that needed to be cleaned out, so it was a quick and easy fix.

The job cost also was a standard base rate, affordable and appropriate for the work and expertise showcased.

I recently hired Platinum Plumbing to take care of a number of plumbing problems that I had.  It was just a wonderful experience from start to finish.  When they showed up to find out how serious it was and give me a rough estimate of how much it would cost as well as how long.  James and Peter looked at the two bathrooms, water heater and oil burner that all needed to be worked on and after confirming what work I wanted to have done they were able to give me an estimate and time frame that was acceptable to me.

The work itself:  When Platinum Plumbing showed up to start the job they got to work and were great.  Since the work was going to take them multiple days and I would be staying in the house while they were going to be doing the work, they made sure to take care of all the problems in such a way that it wouldn't interfere with me living there.  They did a great job making sure that I'd be able to stay in the home with as little disruption as possible.  

All the work was excellent and I was very happy with the finished results.  I know that the next time I have any issue with any of my plumbing Platinum will be the first number I call for quick, reliable service.

Once again i was over my head with a dishwasher tail I broke. I called and ad luck would have it  platinum was able to respond almost immediately.

I reached out on yelp for an estimate to disconnect a water heater and furnace while I had work done in my basement and then have it reconnected when the work was done. James (who said he is one of the owners) messaged me with his phone number and asked me to call him to discuss. I called and we discussed the project. He said he would send me an estimate the next day. The next day he emailed me what I guess he thought was an estimate. It was just an email that had a brief description of the work and a price at the bottom. No name of the company, license number, or payment details. I texted James if he could send me a formal estimate with the company name and license number. I never got a response back. I texted him multiple times and called and never got a response. Also, his voicemail is full so you can't even leave a message when you call. I believe that they are not licensed and that is why they never responded back once I asked for a license number. This company is so unprofessional and I am glad I didn't get to point of having them do work in my home. I also needed my sewer pipe replaced so they lost that job as well. I would have also recommended them on my school district Facebook group because people are always asking for reliable plumbers.

I needed work done on my boiler. Immediately i knew this was the company to hire. Fast response for an estimate. Looked at every detail and explained every step of the process. Friendly and courteous. Came on time and did the job as explained. Went through every step again with me and his crew. Got everything taken care. Work was done neat and professionally. Highly recommend this service.

Pete and James were respectful, punctual and efficient. I had an issue with my steam heat system and they came and diagnosed and fixed the problem under an hour. They provided an abundance of information while they were here. I will be using them again.

Plumbing issue- and you find yourself filled with dread. From out of state? Frightening. Yelp research and set up and appointment with James. Communication was quick and excellent. Service was tremendous, no fuss, no muss. The price was fair and didn't make me want to cry. Our second visit to finish a couple other items is already on the books.

Another great experience using Platinum Plumbing.  Professional, courteous, on time, and extremely thorough and capable about what they do.  Had Peter come to check my furnace before I will need to use it when the seasons change, and switched out the thermostat for the furnace as well.  Peter also looked at my other areas of plumbing to assess, offering and sharing valuable information.  Just an overall, no nonsense, non-stressful, experience, where you feel you are in very good hands with an honest , experienced old school plumber who takes enormous pride in his work.

It was great having a small family business doing work at my house. Given how the sewer lines were above ground, they installed a pump to allow me to have a sink in my basement. The reason that I needed this sink is for my aquarium hobbies. And long behold, not only were they great plumbers, but they are also into aquariums themselves.

A few things I like to say about them... They are honest people doing professional work. They communicated well and were able to commit to their pricing. They did their best to make this work for me with discussion. In case you are wondering why they may not take your phone calls immediately, they are also the same people responding to Yelp and texts. Their phones were ringing while both of them were busy working on my sink. In my first picture, you can see that both of them are busy trying to fit all the pipes and etc..  Definitely text them and you will hear back from them shortly.

Great communications is the key to develop good relationships with customers. They responded 100% of the time. Given that I was busy with work and meetings, texting back and forth to work out project costs seem to work great for me and them.

Lastly, I just want to say that I highly recommend them.

Based on his excellent Yelp reviews I reached out to Pete through Yelp  to fix a leaking kitchen faucet. Pete replied quickly and texted me his base price for a visit and labor ($185). I agreed and he arrived within the hour. Pete was polite and pleasant. He took a look and said we needed a new hose for the pull-out faucet as well as a drain repair, then went out to buy the necessary parts.

At first Pete bought the wrong sized hose for our particular faucet and then tried to use it anyway. When that didn't work (the hose was too big and couldn't be threaded through our faucet despite many lengthy attempts), he finally went out to buy the correct part stating he'd be back in 20 minutes. We waited over an hour with no contact from Pete. I wondered what was taking so long so called him. Pete said he'd be back in 20 minutes -  turned out to be another 45. When he finally returned Pete told us he had driven out to Suffolk County to get the right part. We appreciate his efforts but it would have been nice to know about the delays beforehand.

With the right parts Pete completed the job in less than half an hour. The final price was nearly 50% more than the original quote, presumably due to the drain repair. Would have preferred knowing the total price (with explanation) before the end of the job. However, given the amount of work Pete did the cost seemed reasonable enough and the repair has held up fine.

They take pride in there work. They are reliable and trustworthy! Last but not least - there prices are doable!

Let me start by saying that im not related and im not an employee of this company.  Peter and James came to my house to finish a bathroom not completed by contractor. They installed a set of frameless shower doors. Installed the toilet and also a pedestal sink. They arrived at the time they said they would. They worked together as a team through the entirety of the project and there work area was neat at all times. When they were done everything worked exactly as it should. Their prices were very reasonable for the amount of work they did. But the big surprise here is the level of quality. Its nice to know that their are still tradesmen out there willing to take the extra time to make the job come out not just good but so good that it surpasses any expectations you may have had. James was right on the issue. He walked around, observing the leak and checked outside and inside, quickly figuring out the dishwasher was the culprit. Kudos to this plumber! Will be calling them out again for other repairs in the near ...

I believe it was Pete who responded to my call for help with water leaking from the main floor's bathroom to the finished basement, damaging the ceiling. He was punctual! () He found out the water was from the toilet, and first told me that the pipe might need to be replaced. Then he removed the toilet bowl and discovered that all he needed was a pipe sleeve which he had to go to a supply store to buy it. He came back fairly quickly (I live near Lowe's) and fixed the problem right away. I was happy that it did not turn out a big and expensive job and he was honest about it! (). When he opened the ceiling in the basement, he was very careful and took into the consideration that it will need to be repaired (once before another plumber hammered down a huge ceiling area unnecessarily which cost me so much more) (). He noted in the invoice his suggestion on the ceiling access panel and size (). Finally, he cleaned up areas in the basement and main floor bathroom. Did not look like a plumbing job was done! (). As for the price, I believe it was quite reasonable. I call him a good plumber by the old days' definition and am very happy to have found one finally!

I had a substantial leak running down my wall, that started the night of a torrential rainstorm.  Had all manner of pros weigh in, and many just scratched their heads.  Were not listening to me when explaining the problem.  Platinum listened to me, found the problem and fixed it, and charged me way less than I thought it was going to be.  They were honest, informative and forthcoming with explanations on everything.  They will be my go to with any plumbing needs or issues in the future.  Call them you won't regret it. I needed a new steam boiler and hot water heater and had the typical angst about getting ripped off by a dishonest plumber.  I call Platinum Plumbing and spoke with James and was immediately put at ease. He gave me a very fair quote and did a wonderful job from start to finish. They worked very clean and safe.
     I was a chief engineer in an office building for twenty years and dealt with loads of tradesmen and these guys were the tops.  They don't talk down to you or try to bs you. They come in and do the right thing.  There were no problems and both units are running perfectly. I would use them again and will be recommending them to my family and friends.

Needed my water boiler replaced and was quoted a ridiculous price from my oil supplier. Called Platinum on a Tuesday and had my water boiler replaced that Friday AM. They did a phenomenal job- super clean and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Found the leaks around the bowl so I figured the two toilets were not set right. Called Platinum during this very special time in our lives and without hesitation they came the next day. They were so polite and properly outfitted with PPE so that was great.  We then found the bigger issue with the stack pipe was cracked.  They were so nice and said don't worry that's what we do.  They were true five star.  The fair price is just the cherry on top.

Pete from Platinum Plumbing was just the best.  It took a bit of coordinating to finally get him here but I am glad it finally happened.  It was worth the wait.  He is knowledgeable, competent and thorough.  The fair price was a relief.  He was patient and addressed my concerns. My Family and I are in the midst of a gut and reno and needed some plumbing taken care of. I had (2) other vendors on the line, one cancelled 15 minutes before scheduled appointment and the other....no response after initial communication. The latter is disgustingly unprofessional! I reached out to Platinum Plumbing and within minutes had a response, a quote and a scheduled appointment for later that same day. Pete showed up on time, summed up the task at hand and tackled it. All the while carrying a pleasant conversation with me.

OUTSTANDING!!! No heat in the middle of December is no fun.... luckily we contacted James, he showed up on a Sunday morning...came up with temp solution. James returned 1st thing Monday morning with the new part, Pete also came over and they were able to solve our issue with our gas boiler.  
 James and Pete are very professional and friendly, they were willing to work around my work schedule and made every effort to reassure us they could solve our problem. Prices were fair and clearly communicated thru out the process. WE WILL DEFINITELY USE PLATINUM IN THE FUTURE AND WILL RECCOMEND. I wish I could give Pete  a 10 star rating.   I had a terrible smell in my house.   He went into my  crawl space and found I had 3 huge issues.   When he said that I freaked out.   From broken pipes to loose caps and sewage leaking out, I thought I was going to have to sell my wedding ring.  Nope, soooo reasonable.  Absolutely worth every penny.    I absolutely found my new forever plumber.   Thank you so so much!!!

Had a great experience with Pete from Platinum.  Gave a fair estimate and stuck to it. He was there on time and did a great job! Was very pleasant and friendly would absolutely recommend.  Already have.

I needed to change the tub spout in my shower and I couldn't get the old one off. I called Platinum and they promptly scheduled service for me during my desired window. Pete arrived at exactly the appointment time, and handled our job exceptionally well. He was such a perfectionist that he insisted on doing our job for free due to a minor cosmetic issue. Our overall experience with Platinum and with Pete in particular was extremely positive and they will be my first call in the future for any plumbing needs.

Pete and James helped to install a very complicated whole-house water filtration system for us. They came by to provide a quote and did the job very efficiently. Their pricing is reasonable as well. We plan to use them as our primary plumber going forward.

Discovered leak from pipe in crawlspace.  Temporarily stopped it by shutting water supply to toilet. Called Platinum Plumbing and Peter was affable, and immediately available. He arrived right on time early in AM AND QUICKLY repaired the failed PVC joint .  He was extremely accommodating and very skilled.  I asked him to check a sound coming from toilet and he discovered malfunctioning fill valve.  He offered to come baxk same day or make a new appointment, my choice.  His price was very fair, and his immediate response and helpful attitude were refreshing. Amazing job done! Had a leaky pipe that needed to be fixed otherwise I would've had a pool in my basement. Went on yelp looking for a plumber and got a response right away with a very fair quote. He came to house the next day and had the job done extremely fast with no issues. I would highly recommend him if you need a plumber.

I reached out to Pete through the request a quote on yelp. He immediately responded and was even able to come and fix my leaking toilet the same day!! He works neatly, efficiently, and cleaned up everything after they were finished fixing the toilet. He even took the time to remove an old grout stain around the toilet! Our old boiler needed to be changed. We found Platinum Plumbing on Yelp with great reviews and decided to give them a try. Pete and his brother James are as good as it gets. They were very respectful of our home, which isn't always the case when you hire a contractor. They were always on time, polite, and professional. We noticed a big water stain in our downstairs bathroom and immediately contacted Platinum again. They came as soon as they could two days later and spent almost FOUR hours looking for the problem and fixing it. Incredibly knowledgable and did whatever they had to in order to fix the leak (once they found it). They unfortunately had to cut into the ceiling and a tiled wall but were extremely neat about it and cleaned up after themselves. They even figured out exactly where to cut in the tile so I only have to replace one! Thank you Pete!!!

I'm always a little leery when a check out contractors and just see 5 star reviews.  Well, with Platinum Plumbing, don't be.  I noticed my 15 year water heater was showing corrosion and rust stains on the tank.  So, I started calling plumbing outfits.  First one I called, I spoke to someone who said they would call back by the end of the day.  They did not return the call.  Next day, I called a larger outfit, woman seemed overwhelmed, as I could hear phones ringing in background.  She gave me a rough estimate, and then said earliest appointment would be mid July.  I then called Platinum.  James returned my call within the hour.  He took my info and called back in 10 minutes later to give give estimate and choice of water heaters.  He was able to fit me the next day in the afternoon.  Job went smoothly, as he and his partner Pete were done within two hours.  The price was reasonable, they left the place spotless, and carted off the old heater. To boot, they are genuinely both nice guys, who took time to explain water heater options and answer all my questions,   I would without a doubt recommend them for water heater replacement.

I had a pretty old kitchen faucet which was leaking badly so l looked up on Yelp and requested price estimate for its replacement service.  Pete from Platinum responded very quickly and gave me a reasonable estimate so I decided to go with him.

After all, he did pretty great job on the replacement, kept his professional manner and didnt forget to clean up the mess afterwards.
 
However,  the service charge came out little more than I expected but it was worth paying that extra for what he did.  Because the work took bit longer than it supposed to be due to the old faucet that I had required some extra heavy duty work.

Outstanding service ! James and Pete faced a pretty difficult job tracking down an in-wall leak as well as a few other pipe leaks along the line. Very difficult to get to. They weighed all available options so as to do minimal access damage to walls or bathroom tiles. They were able get access through a small hole in the boiler space avoiding any damage anywhere else. There pricing was definitely reasonable. They'll be the first i call when needing further work in the future and I'd recommend them highly to anyone needing plumbing services. Our water heater starting leaking in our basement and needed to be replaced.  Being fairly new homeowners this was definitely another financial stress that we were not excited about.  However, that stress began to disappear when we found Peter! He came to our rescue and made the whole process as quick and painless as possible.  He responded right away to our Yelp request and gave us an extremely fair price that worked with our budget. His kindness and professionalism went above and beyond. He arrived at our house promptly and was able to fully replace our oil-fired water heater.  Many plumbers will not even work on oil-fired water heaters because they are less common.  This was not a challenge for Peter. He made us feel very confident in his expertise.  We even had additional issues that arose due to how old our pipes were and he was able to fix those quickly too. He cleaned up very well and left the entire area extremely neat when he was done. We have definitely found our new plumber! I will recommend him to my friends and family. I had a great experience working with Peter. We needed to have some plumbing work done asap & he was very responsive. Within 15 minutes of reaching out, I heard back from him. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule the next day to come & install our toilet, as well as fix our water valve. He is very professional & got the job done right, and quickly! Very pleased with this company.  They came quickly for a quote and had a very fair price.  They seemed very knowledgeable and were pleasant.  They gave quote information quickly, didn't have to chase after them. I plan on using them in the near future, will update.

TOP NOTCH!!! 10/10 Not even sure where to begin! First of all, after sending out a request for a leaky cast iron waste pipe in my crawl space, Pete responded within minutes with a fair price and exactly what he would need to do for the job. He was even ready to come out that day!! He came out on Saturday for the repair, just to work around my schedule with no issues at all. When he arrived, he was friendly, kind, and considerate. Most importantly, he definitely knew his stuff!! He fixed the leak and even came back later that same day to fix another issue that had occurred. He was there for hours fixing all of the issues my house was having. I will tell everyone about this wonderful company and Pete will be my first call for any plumbing issues from now on. I highly recommend Platinum plumbing. The owner Pete came on Saturday within an hour of me calling for an appt and provided a very good price and explained how the work was going to be completed. He assured me that he would complete the work himself. Pete was very accommodating and worked around my work schedule so that I didn't need to take an additional day off.  He arrived promptly and very efficiently installed the dishwasher, sink/ faucet and some additional work. He made sure everything was working properly before he left and again explained the work completed. Pete was a pleasure to work with, very reliable, experienced and knowledgeable plumber and feel confident to recommend him to my family and friends.

Peter was the first plumber to fix my diverter in the shower correctly. Order a plumber sent someone in and he left the handle unsecured and swinging back and forth. I made the mistake of having order a plumber again. This time they bled my oil burner and charged close to $300 for 15 minutes of work. Peter came in and fixed my diverter by putting the correct light weight handle on that can be just pulled out with out a crowbar. He changed the cylinder and for the first time in years we don't have to tap the metal piece down that changes the faucet water to come out of the faucet instead of the shower head. The water goes down the drain fast now and I don't have to constantly Scrub the ring of soap because there was always a tub full of water while we showered. Lastly order a plumber changed the water to hot right and cold left. Peter fixed it so we are not scolding ourselves.  Lastly Peters pricing was fair. It was less than we expected. Order a plumber came to the house twice and charged us $500 to improperly fix the shower and bleed the oil burner. . I would highly recommend Peter and his company.
